(1997), can be summarised as an article focusing on the effect the colonisation of New Zealand had on

Black Other . It speaks of the perpetuation and (re)formation of Maori identities, including the way
Maori are constrained by their Black Other stereotype within New Zealand. The article talks about

several people from around Iowa and as soon as I got there I met my roommates. My roommates were

U.S. like New Jersey, South Dakota, and more as a big group we packaged nearly 30,000 meals in one
morning, we traveled to Arlington National Cemetery and paid respect for those who died for our
freedom, and traveled the subway inspiring D.C. natives with our blue and gold jacket all week.

Water is probably my biggest fear. Not drinking water but giant body of water, like the ocean or a
lake. For some odd reason I always think I am going to drown every time I get in any type of body of
water. I think that if I am going to try and become less scared of water I need to learn how to do some
stuff first. First, I probably need to learn to swim. I know how to Doggy Paddle but I don t think that
counts when it comes to swimming Atlantic or Pacific. Another thing I need to do is try not to worry
as much when I go out on a boat or just go swimming. I get so stressed to the point that I can t even

One of the examples that is used to show that lowering the drinking age to 18 years of age is a bad
thing is a panel that was done in 1975 to 1993. In this panel they surveyed 39 states that had lowered
the drinking age to 18 yrs old between the 1970 s and the 1980 s. The mortality rate for those states
included in the study showed that once the drinking age was lowered the fatality rate from motor
vehicle accidents had risen substantially; most of the fatal accidents were at night. When the drinking
age was raised back to 21 years old the fatality rate had dropped back to a lower level as it had before

allowed to drink the death rate from alcohol consumption in motor vehicle accidents are raised. Now

William Blake was a poet who was born in November 1757 and passed away August 1827. William
was a very religious Christian who was born in London to James and Catherine Blake. At the young
age of four, William was convinced that he was seeing visions of God along with other religious
beings such as angels. According to a small biography on poets.org, these visions included God
putting his head to William s window and a tree full of angels in a meadow. Because of these visions,
Blake s parents decided it would be best to homeschool him, so he learned to read as well as write
from his parents. This truly goes to show that you don t possess an elegant education to be an
immense writer. As he aged, William s poetry grew to be about topics that were important to him such
as politics, war, but more importantly, religion.
Many of William Blake s poems include themes of religion, The Lamb and The Tyger are no
exceptions. The Lamb is one of William s poems written in 1789. This is a poem about all of the
wonderful, bright, Godly conditions in the world. Blake uses the characteristics of the Lamb in the
poem to establish an uplifting, fluffy mood, such as in the three lines, Gave thee clothing of delight,

The novel, The Brave New World written by Aldous Huxley, is set as a modern day perfect society.
All humans are taught before, they are born, how to think, and, as they grow up, that everyone is
