I have struggled to regain my education and as a mother, I will do everything in my power to ensure
my child does not face this dilemma. By the time I get my degree she will be 7 years old and will get

November. Once I arrived, I got busy. I applied for all government assistance, and applied to every
open position I could find. With in a month I was offered 3 jobs. I took two of them and worked every
single day for a month straight. I bought myself a cheap car and then moved into a studio apartment

The Effect Of Aerobic Capacity On University Students
How anaerobic capacity influences aerobic capacity in university students as determined by
differences in pulse rate before and after a step up test
Introduction
During physical activity, the body must produce energy for muscle contraction. There are two
different methods that the body can use (Åstrand 1956), which are dependent on the availability of
oxygen and the nature of the exercise (Yip 2010). Moderate intensity exercise uses aerobic respiration
while high intensity exercise uses anaerobic respiration (Yip 2010). Aerobic respiration requires
oxygen in order to provide energy; this method produces significantly more adenosine triphosphate
(ATP) compared to anaerobic respiration and thus allows for longer lasting moderate ... Show more

Research strongly suggests that aerobic fitness can be improved via intense anaerobic activities
(Bogdanis et al. 1995). Specifically, the VO2 max a person has can be improved by anaerobic exercise
(Swain 2007), and this in turn improves their aerobic fitness due to the nature of aerobic respiration
which uses oxygen. This report aims to explore if and how an individual s anaerobic fitness level
might influence their ability to carry out aerobic exercises, i.e. are people who are anaerobically fit
also aerobically fit? Thus, in considering relevant literature, the alternative hypothesis of this
experiment is that yes, if an individual is anaerobically fit, then they are also aerobically fit. The null
hypothesis is that there will be no correlation between an individual s anaerobic and aerobic fitness.
Participants were instructed to perform as many push ups as they could, then after resting, their pulse
rate was taken. Then they undertook a moderate step up exercise for 4 minutes and their pulse rate was
measured again. The maximum number of push ups was recorded and these values were compared
against the individuals change in pulse rate before and after the step up exercise. Statistical
significance was determined using a t test.
This research could contribute to helping individuals in improving their fitness levels, especially if one
is specifically looking to improve either aerobic or anaerobic fitness. It would

Taking a Look at Epidural Analgesia
Epidural analgesia is considered the most effective pain relief method during labour (Tamagawa
Weaver, 2012). It consists of the introduction of a local anaesthetic into the epidural space using a
needle through the lumbar intervertebral space, usually between lumbar vertebrae 3 and 4 or 2 and 3
(Peate Hamilton, 2014). The anaesthetic inhibits nerve conduction by blocking sodium channels in
nerve membranes, which in turn prevents the transmission of nerve impulses along these fibres.
Therefore, the painful stimuli transmitted from the contracting uterus and birth canal is inhibited
without consciousness impairment (Anim Somuah, Smyth and Jones, 2011).
Firstly introduced in 1898, epidural analgesic was used for operative deliveries. The introduction of
lignocaine in 1948 increased its popularity due to its faster onset and longer duration of action in
contrast to its predecessor, cocaine (Moir, 1986). Epidurals became more widely available in the
1970s when a decline in home births occurred and active management of labour was introduced
(Odibo, 2007). Currently, the rapid increase of epidural procedure rates were highlighted by the NHS
Information Centre (NHSIC) (2011) where 25% of women in England who had spontaneous and
induced onset of labour received epidural analgesia during labour between 2010 and 2011.
There are substantial benefits to both mother and baby in the provision of epidural analgesia for labour
including pain relief, during prolonged labour,

A Report On The Hospitality Business
Hospitable has been a characteristic of humanity for a long period of time, it can be said that it is
formed since the first time that people starting to immigrate from place to place. Hospitality which has
transform from an act of kindness, which the host is the one to giving shelters and food and for the
travellers, into a business industry. As a consequence, the basic need shelters and food have also been
reformed into the need of convenient and secure segment. Due to this situation, lots of hotels have
enlarged their budget on security purpose. Especially since the terrorist attacks in Jakarta in 2009 and
Taj Mahal hotel in Delhi in 2008, lots of big cooperation have boosted their security system and
establish an intense safety and security procedure. Thanks to those terror events, hoteliers are aware of
that the safety issue is the most important in the hospitality business. (Acton, 2013, p.5) This essay
will briefly discuss how organisation has pledged themselves to ensure their guests safety while
staying with them. The most terrifying event was on September 11, 2000 when two airplanes crashed
directly into the Twins Towers of the World Trade Centre, one crashed into the Pentagon and one
crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania . The attack was carried out by the Islamic radical
group. The Islamic thought the attack was set out to fight for their righteous since the American has
used the brutal policy towards them. (Al Jubouri, 2010, p.324) After the

I Appreciate Barbour s Praiseworthy And Toilsome Effort
III. Critique First of all, I appreciate Barbour s praiseworthy and toilsome effort to put theology and
science in a meaningful and fruitful dialogue, by seriously taking account of both continuities and
discontinuities between scientific metaphors and religious metaphors. For Barbour, because both
disciplines have continuities and discontinuities they can contribute to our more comprehensive
understanding of the reality of our experiences in the world through their metaphorical relationship.
While scientific models, theories, and paradigms are focused on the explanation of natural
phenomena, the religious counterparts are more focused on the human experience of their
natural/social environments and evoking moral and attitudinal responses, while religious affirmations
do not exclude truth claims like the scientific claims do. Also, like religion, scientists also hold on to
their traditions in their observation and interpretation of natural phenomena; hence, they are not
neutral. In that sense, I agree with Barbour that science and religion bear significant similitude, while
they can complement each other in our holistic understanding of our world. It seems to me that this is
well supported by Peacocke s concept of ontological monism. In our evolutionary understanding of
the world, we could contend with Peacocke that All concrete particulars in the world including human
beings with all of their properties are constituted only of fundamental physical

Third Eye Experiences
The third eye is a very powerful tool of the soul. To see, to feel, and to hear the higher frequency
realities. These 3 functions of the soul are known as the third eye.
By practicing more and more meditation, more energy flows, more energy activates the third eye, it s a
great experience for the meditator. At the time of activation of the third eye, we feel an itching
sensation at the forehead region.
We start seeing glimpses of various colors rotating around us. We hear mumring sounds, sounds of
walking. We feel as if we re travelling in another dimension.
When everybody gets sufficient cosmic energy by more and more meditation, our third eye gets
perfected. After activing our third eye, we perceive crystal clear visions of many things. When we
have perfected our third eye, we see many things clearer than simple visions. We see other frequency
realities, we see the things which are not present in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We see masters who are not there physically with us, we see masters in a physical form.
After more meditation we start seeing the master like a bright light. Even by seeing the bright light we
feel the identity of the master. We can hear the messages from the masters. We feel like moving in a
tunnel and finally merging with the light.
From third eye experiences, we know we can answers for all our problems through messages from the
masters or by seeing other frequency realities or as a feeling. By this our actions will change, our
beliefs will change, our understanding and perception of life will change.
After this third eye experience, we find changes in our perception of this physical reality.
There is something I missed to tell you in the first words of my writing today. The perfection of third
eye is something demanding lots of efforts and focus from you. LIttle have achieved such a deep level

Meaning Of Word And Meaning
Word and Meaning
Language is one of the fundamentals things in Indian philosophy that every school almost their own
language and philosophy of their language in order to understand their sacred texts correctly. Sphota
in one this theory in Ancient Indian philosophy which is seen as communication device. In the Veda,
Sphota is the whole sentence unites . Sphota is considered as the word or sentence which is single
indivisible meaning bearing units. It means that sentence should not be consider is being made up of
single words and words by letter. In linguistic discourse, they are symbol which is the meaning bearer.
they are the articulated sounds and means by which merely the symbol is revealed. The Brahmanical
tradition takes language as of Divine Origin and they consider language as valid resource of
knowledge. There are two schools which made significant contribution to the philosophy of language
in Indian philosophy which are the Mimamsa and philosophy of Grammar. The both school believe
that the words and their relation to meaning are eternal and underived and impersonal. The beginning
of language is untenable. There is only one real that manifests as many of words. It means that it does
not have an ended point and does not have started point. Humans understand them from their birth till
to their death. However, in this paper, I will argue that the relation of word and meaning is
conventional arbitrary because of factors such as polysemous, homophones and homonyms,

Structuralism
Structuralism was founded by E.B. Titchener but only lasted two decades because of newer
movements in the psychology; however it was still know as the first school of thought. Structuralism
is a mode of thinking and a method of analysis practiced in the 20 centruy social sciences and
humanities; it focuses on recurring patterns of thought and behavior, it seeks to analyse social
relationships in terms of highly abstract relational structures. In other words structuralism is a study
based on ones unconsciousness and observation, the things a person does, the way a person acts in
his/her society, which is acted out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being discovered, Gestalt psychology has made significant contributions to the study of perception,
learning and social psychology. This psychology has several principals, and a therapy. Gestalt
psychology came about in the 19th century with its main focus being that of elementistic nature of the
work of Wundt. It is a school of thought that looks at the human mind and behavior as a whole.
Gestalt psychology was emerged as a response to Wilhelm Wundt s structuralism. It utilizes the brain s
tendency to seek a whole in order to understand its parts. Many psychologists after Wundt and
Titchener set out to prove their theories wrong. Gestalt psychologists believe that there is more to
perception than meets the eye. In other words, our perception goes beyond the sensory elements, the
basic physical data provided to the sense organs (Schultz, 2011). The brain definitely has a tendency
both to perceive groupings as wholes and to fill in gaps in order to understand parts.
Psychoanalysis
Psychoanalysis is a system that is the single most influential theory of psychotherapy in our time. As a
therapy psychoanalysis is based on observation that individuals are often unaware of many factors that
determine their emotions and behavior. It is the first dynamic theory of personality that talks about
displacing, repressing, denying, venting, and regressing; about the unconscious; and about the
significance of dreams. Psychoanalysis overlaps psychology s other

Cerebral Creatine Deficiency Syndromes ( Ccdss ) Essay
Cerebral Creatine Deficiency Syndromes (CCDSs)
Introduction A nitrogenous organic acid that is naturally produced in the kidney and liver of the
human is called Creatine (Cr). The energy requirement of the body is maintained by the Cr by the
production of ATP. The energy is mainly given to high energy demand tissues. The human brain is the
most important tissue which requires Cr for the normal function. A part of creatine is converted into
creatinine. This creatinine is removed from the body along with urine. Hence, a supplement of
approximately 2g/day is required. Cr is present in the normal diet that we take. Loss of or the
malfunction in the process carried out for the production of ATP can severely affect the human beings.
This Cr deficiency is referred to as CCDSs.
Creatine
Cr as it is cannot help in the production of energy. There are many process downstream that helps Cr
to perform its function. The following are the process involved.
Creatine Synthesis: Creatine can be synthesized in the human body itself. Synthesis involves three
amino acids: glycine, arginine and methionine mainly. The two enzymes that drives the Cr synthesis
are arginine:glycine amidinotransferase (AGAT), guanidinoacetate methyltransferase (GAMT).
Creatine synthesis is a two step process catalyzed by the above mentioned enzymes. AGAT catalyzes
arginine and glycine forming ornithine and guanidinoacetate. AGAT is very specific to the amino
acids in the

The Violence Of The Media
From 2000 to 2013 there were a total of 160 active shooter incidents and that number is increasing
every year. The main reason shootings have become so prominent is because the media has
oversaturated the news with pictures of the shooter, their life stories, and their histories of mental
illness. Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Deitz has repeatedly told the media to localize mass shootings to
the area effected because the more they fan the flames across the nation of potential shooters, the
greater likelihood that another mass shooting will occur in the following weeks ( Charlie Brooker s
Newswipe 25/03/09 ). If the media continues to overflow the minds of their viewers with nothing but
24/7 coverage of mass shooters, then we are increasing the likelihood of someone committing such an
atrocity. We need to stop the media from extensively covering these stories of men and woman
shooting up the public in order to keep the peace. Many people want to know when a shooting occurs
so they are in the know , this is completely normal and okay, but when the media plasters the TV
screen and websites with nothing but updates and stops all other newsworthy information, it can be
excessive. The news should be delivering the news in not only a respectful manner, but also in a
consistent manner; but when we have updates every 5 minutes, then the accuracy of the information
the media delivers is significantly lower because they are trying to keep the viewers engaged by
throwing out small

The Impact Of Humanism In The Renaissance
During the Renaissance, a program of study known as humanism, impacted education, art, politics,
and ultimately shaped the Italian Renaissance. Humanism is defined as a program of study designed
by Italians that emphasized the critical study of Latin and Greek literature with the goal of
understanding human nature. [1] Humanism changed people s views and allowed them to start
portraying people in a more realistic and relatable way. Many artists began to drift away from
religious subjects and instead, began to focus more on individuals and their lives. In addition,
humanism also allowed people to create new architecture that resembled classical constructions.
Humanism impacted many visual arts, which include Leonardo da Vinci s Mona Lisa, Michelangelo s
David, and Filippo Brunelleschi s Dome. The Mona Lisa was painted between 1503 and 1506 by
Leonardo da Vinci, and is one of the most famous paintings in the world today. The painting is a
portrait of Lisa Gherardini, and was painted for her husband, Francesco del Giocondo. Humanism has
impacted this portrait in various ways. Lisa s smile has been described to be so enigmatic [1] that
people are still trying to interpret the feelings behind her smile. The painting is greatly impacted by
humanism as it focuses on realism and relatability, allowing Lisa to be portrayed as an everyday
woman with the same flaws and impurities as anyone else. This differs from the Middle Ages as all
people used to be portrayed in such as

Voting Rights Arguments
The key arguments for returning voting rights to felons and passing the Democracy Restoration Act
(DRA) include advancing democracy, protecting public safety, and eliminating the remnants of Jim
Crow. The DRA would return the right to vote to felons, who are out of jail and living in communities
throughout the United States. This would give 4.3 million more Americans the right to vote.
Supporters of the DRA argue that it advances democracy adding additional voters and maintains the
American principle of inclusion. They also argue that most European countries either allow voting
rights to prisoners or restore them once the prisoners are reincorporated into society. Proponents of the
DRA also contend that it further protects public safety by giving felons an incentive to avoid
committing future crimes. Bringing felons into the political fold rather than excluding them as
political outsiders helps to deter them from committing crimes. They also argue that the DRA is a key
part of the re incorporation process into society for felons and allows for some hope that continuing to
live a crime free life will be rewarded. The DRA also helps to eliminate some disenfranchisement
suffered by the African American community since the days of slavery and Jim Crow. The fact that
African Americans are seven times more likely to be in prison than Whites and in three states (FL, KY,
and VA) 20% of the African Americans have become disenfranchised is a major problem. The

Christian Philosophy Of Christian Theology
From childhood we observe, study, and even absorb our surroundings. These observations cultivate
the person we become and educates us on how to approach life situations independently.
Independence is the self governing state of freedom to think and act as we desire. How we approach
life events can be viewed from a philosophical and/or a theological perspective. This essay will
compare different approaches in Christian theology to philosophy to see which study was more
influential in our individual development. Christian theology is the study of Christian beliefs. There
are four sources for this study including scripture, tradition, reasoning and experience. Scriptures are
sacred writings that document historical events pertaining to Christianity. The Bible is the central
location for the scriptures. Christians consider the Bible their source of truth and the reference
material needed to handle all life events as a Christian should. There are various definitions regarding
tradition however; one in particular lends itself best to Christian theology. Tradition is the continued
sharing of stories, customs, or values to future generations by written or oral means. Tradition is
passed down from generation to generation but, it is in vain without application. Tradition provides a
sense of stability for Christian theology however it also can promote spiritual growth if allowed.

The Color Blue Essay
and green. Blue as discussed earlier was represented as the color of the God and other religious
concepts, so the major incorporation of the color blue in the reliquary chasse indicated the spiritual
significance it carried. Envisioning blue on the chasse unified people to Jesus Christ. Many of the
reliquary chasse of the 12th century narrated a story; this individual one narrates the crucifixion of
Christ. There are several key figures engraved throughout the exterior of the chasse, however since the
crucial scene of the execution are shown on the front face of the chasse, that indicates that this chasse
was primarily to be seen from the front rather than the sides. If viewed from the front, the top has
three figures designed on it. In the center is the God the Father and on his either sides are two
unknown saints. All three figures are represented in mandorlas however in different colors. The God
of Father is displayed in the blue mandorla while the saints are shown in green mandorla. Here we can
interpret a sense of hierarchy because the God of Father is shown in blue, which represents a divine
color, however the saints are represented in green that is a mix of blue and yellow. So, blue still exists
and represents divinity, yet the mixture of blue and yellow to produce a different shade of blue
signifies that the God of Father is above and more important than the saints. The background is
enameled with a deeper shade of blue, probably indicating the larger divinity of

Framework for Competitor Analysis
One of the major models for competitive intelligence is the Porter s model Framework for Competitor
Analysis . Diagram Reference: Strategy and the Business Landscape Pankaj Ghemawat, 1999. Pearson
This model looks at competitor analysis from the perspective of competitor s current business
portfolio, current strategy and its current capabilities in terms of strengths and weaknesses. For an
insight into the future, the company needs to understand the competitor s mind set in terms of
competitor s future goals in its various country markets and for various businesses. It is also essential
to understand the competitor s likely assumptions about itself and the industry.
Based on an understanding of the competitor s current strategy and what drives the competitor, it is
possible for a company to anticipate the competitor s responses in the following four aspects:
Does the current position of the competitor satisfy its needs?
What moves or strategies will the competitor implement?
Where is the competitor vulnerable?

but in Fallen Angels it can be broken down into three sections. The first section consists of the
uncertain state of war that the squad finds themselves in. This is shown by the opinions among the
soldiers about what it will be like when they actually go to war. The first section also includes the
shock of how different the real war is then what it is portrayed as. Peewee summed it up by saying, I
didn t think they was going to have no real fighting in this here war. (pg.23) the first section of this
book is also very thrilling and suspenseful, after Jenkins death the squad realizes that their lives are
about to get way worse than they would ve imagined. Tense is a word that ... Show more content on

The main part of the novel is set in the jungle of Vietnam which is very rainy and wet. Even though
this is the main setting Perry often talks about his home back in Harlem. Perry used to live in the
slums, which were neglected and poverty stricken as he says on page 14, How was I going to get
clothes for Kenny so he would stay in school? Mama had said that she d see to it that Kenny stayed in
school if I sent the money for clothes for him. (pg.14) So clearly Richie s mom was not bringing in
much money so Richie had to provide for the family. In Vietnam it rained almost everyday and was
mucky and grimy. The squad was placed in Chu Lai which was proficient and very intensive. At Chu
Lai they went out on patrols, and on one of them Jenkins lost his life giving the rest of the people in
the squad their first look at death. Then they had to move to Tam Ky, which was not as proficient and
was less state of the art. At Tam Ky, they are surrounded by the Vietnamese which makes patrolling at
night so much more difficult and dangerous. At Tam Ky during a mission Richie becomes injured and
his profile is found, then he is sent back to

Why Poor Children Are More Likely To Become Poor Readers
Why poor children are more likely to become poor readers: the early years by Jennifer Buckingham*,
Robyn Beaman and Kevin Wheldall. In this literature, they discuss low socio economic disadvantage
and poor early literacy. Children from disadvantaged families are less likely to have experiences that
encourage the development of fundamental skills for reading acquisition, specifically phonological
awareness, vocabulary and oral language. The relationship between socio economic disadvantage and
poor reading ability is one of the most enduring problems in education. Socio economic disadvantage
is a relative concept referring to low socio economic status, which is usually defined by income,
occupation, education, or any combination of these. (Beaman, Buckingham, and Wheldall 428). This
analytical proves and evaluates elements in this journal such as its claim, empirical data and its
mention of opposing sides to state its effectiveness in relaying the message. ... Show more content on

When I think of poor children, I think of kids living in poverty having very limited amount of food,
clothes, education. The early year describes children before pre school. The writers claim that children
from disadvantage or poor families are more likely to become poor readers, prior to them entering
school. Low quality early home literacy environments suppress children s genetic potential, increasing
the risk a child will struggle to learn to read. In addition, children from low socio economic status
backgrounds are more likely to have infant health outcomes associated with cognitive impairments,
such as preterm birth and low birth weight, and are less likely to attend preschool

Rudolf Laban Theory
Rudolf Laban is a movement theorist, a choreographer and a dancer, who is also considered a pioneer
of modern dance. Through constructed theories and knowledge, Rudolf Laban has influenced the
culture of movement drastically, developing and shaping techniques which are still used today. In the
beginning, Laban movement was primarily used for dancers and dance choreography to discover new
ways to move. In the 80s and 90s, it had begun being used to help actors and to improve
performances.
Rudolf Laban was first recognised for his dedication to supporting the movement of expressionist
dance (also known as Ausdruckstanz), which had a big effect on the culture of movement as it
changed the artistic stagnation of classical ballet and the maturity within the future of art. This
movement arose in the 1900 s and was a protest against classical ballet which was perceived as tightly
held and mechanical in fixed and conventional forms. This changed movement to become free and
natural, allowing more flow and openness to arise. Rudolf Laban was considered a significant figure
within this movement as he influenced the younger youth, teaching at a creative art school called
Monte Verita situated in Switzerland. Laban became a key figure based off of his metaphysical ideas
regarding his exploration of time and space within movement which further developed later in his
career. Without Laban s teaching skills and inspiring the next generations, classical ballet wouldn t
have as much meaning

Remembering the Wright Brothers
Wright Brothers Where they are from Orville Wright was born on August 19, 1871 and died on
January 30, 1948. Wilbur Wright April 16, 1867 and died on May 30, 1912. Wilbur was the oldest of
both the brothers, Orville was born in Dayton, Ohio and Wilbur was born in Millville, Indiana. Before
they both became inventors and aviation pioneers. If I were giving a young man advice as to how he
might succeed in life, I would say to him, pick out a good father and mother, and begin life in Ohio.
(The Wright Brothers) Orville was the Scientist of the family. He loved science and technology. He
was also quite shy, although he was never timid about playing practical jokes on his family and
friends. We were lucky enough to glow up in an environment where there was always much
encouragement to children to purse intellectual interest; to investigate whatever arouse curiosity. In a
different kind of environment, our curiosity might have been nipped long before it could have borne
fruit. (TextBook). Wilbur who was four years older than Orville, was outgoing. He excelled at writing
and public speaking. He loved to read. Both Wilbur and Orville liked to tinker as children. When they
had questions about anything mechanical, they would go to their mother, Susan. She was good at
inventing. She made toys for her children and basic appliances for herself. Originally, Wilbur hoped to

Analysis Of Red Dog
Australian Film allows the rest of the world to have an insight into our way of life, our communities
and our land. Australian film usually provides a hard working and hardy stereotype who lives in the
outback and takes pride in his mates, and for a lot of the country, this is mostly true. The typical
Australian is a laid back, hard working community member who prides the relationship they have with
their mates, who may not even be a person. The saying a man s best friend is his dog is incredibly true
for many, especially Australians, where dogs can be found in all walks of life. At least, this is Kriv
Stender s perspective of Australian identity, seen in his 2011 film Red Dog.
Red Dog tells the story of a dog who wandered around the outback before settling down in Dampier, a
mining town of north Western Australia. There he finds himself a home and a family, within the close
knit community. This reflects Stender s perspective of the Australian identity, and what qualities are
valued within Australian culture.
The environment within the film shows a vast, dry and barren land, coated in a layer of red dust that is
iconic within Australian film, and builds onto the identity. This is red dirt is so rich in its colour, and
this can be seen in the scene where Red Dog earns his name, after being coated in the dust while
sitting on the back of a trailer as it travelled across the land. The wide angle camera shots used in the
scenes prior to this show the large emptiness of the

The Final Contestants Of The Eighty Fourth Hunger Games
Greetings to the final contestants of the Seventy fourth Hunger Games. The earlier revision has been

There s a small burst of static and then nothing more. I stare at Peeta as I process what they have just
told us. I m furious, even more angry with the Capitol then I have already been. I take a second to
think about it but it makes me nervous, frustrated and enraged. Peeta and I both know what this means
and we need to make a decision fast before the Gamemakers decide it s boring the onlookers make a
verdict on how to liven us up once again for a more interesting and amusing attack. As for all, these
games are only for the amusement of the Capitol and those in the 12 districts that are into it. To Peeta
and I, the realisation and understanding that we are the only ones still in the arena hits us, therefore
one of us has to be the victor and by us I mean Peeta or me.
Peeta pulls what appear to be black berries out of his pocket. I can t seem to tell whether they re the
poisonous ones that I nearly ate earlier in the games or not although they do resemble some relation in
the colour, size and feeling when he drops four of these into my cold, shaking wet hands. I examine

How Human Resource Management Is The Need For Labour
One of the most important aspects of human resource management is the need for labour. It is critical
for organizations to hire and motivate employees to perform at their maximum efficiency. As such,
what motivates people is a simple question that has been attempted to be answered by many
professionals alike. The complexity of the question itself is due to the fact that although people can be
segmented into different demographic groups, every person is different.
The important role of employee motivation is something that both employers and employees should
be aware of. There are many clear benefits to having an stellar workforce for organizations. For
example, for an organization to achieve organizational excellence they need to determine what drives
each employee. This can be achieved by an employer simply by taking the time to connect with their
employees and implementing work related goals. As a result, the organization benefits because the
employee will benefit. This benefits both parties because the connection between employee and
employer allows for meaningful exchanges of what is expected from each. An individual s task
performance may increase due to a management by objective plan set jointly with an employer.
Additionally, the employee will feel that they add value to an organization by achieving productivity
goals. This will further increase not only the employees career development and overall efficiency in
the workplace, but also the operational excellence

  • 3. The Effect Of Aerobic Capacity On University Students How anaerobic capacity influences aerobic capacity in university students as determined by differences in pulse rate before and after a step up test Introduction During physical activity, the body must produce energy for muscle contraction. There are two different methods that the body can use (Åstrand 1956), which are dependent on the availability of oxygen and the nature of the exercise (Yip 2010). Moderate intensity exercise uses aerobic respiration while high intensity exercise uses anaerobic respiration (Yip 2010). Aerobic respiration requires oxygen in order to provide energy; this method produces significantly more adenosine triphosphate (ATP) compared to anaerobic respiration and thus allows for longer lasting moderate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Research strongly suggests that aerobic fitness can be improved via intense anaerobic activities (Bogdanis et al. 1995). Specifically, the VO2 max a person has can be improved by anaerobic exercise (Swain 2007), and this in turn improves their aerobic fitness due to the nature of aerobic respiration which uses oxygen. This report aims to explore if and how an individual s anaerobic fitness level might influence their ability to carry out aerobic exercises, i.e. are people who are anaerobically fit also aerobically fit? Thus, in considering relevant literature, the alternative hypothesis of this experiment is that yes, if an individual is anaerobically fit, then they are also aerobically fit. The null hypothesis is that there will be no correlation between an individual s anaerobic and aerobic fitness. Participants were instructed to perform as many push ups as they could, then after resting, their pulse rate was taken. Then they undertook a moderate step up exercise for 4 minutes and their pulse rate was measured again. The maximum number of push ups was recorded and these values were compared against the individuals change in pulse rate before and after the step up exercise. Statistical significance was determined using a t test. This research could contribute to helping individuals in improving their fitness levels, especially if one is specifically looking to improve either aerobic or anaerobic fitness. It would ... • 4. Taking a Look at Epidural Analgesia Epidural analgesia is considered the most effective pain relief method during labour (Tamagawa Weaver, 2012). It consists of the introduction of a local anaesthetic into the epidural space using a needle through the lumbar intervertebral space, usually between lumbar vertebrae 3 and 4 or 2 and 3 (Peate Hamilton, 2014). The anaesthetic inhibits nerve conduction by blocking sodium channels in nerve membranes, which in turn prevents the transmission of nerve impulses along these fibres. Therefore, the painful stimuli transmitted from the contracting uterus and birth canal is inhibited without consciousness impairment (Anim Somuah, Smyth and Jones, 2011). Firstly introduced in 1898, epidural analgesic was used for operative deliveries. The introduction of lignocaine in 1948 increased its popularity due to its faster onset and longer duration of action in contrast to its predecessor, cocaine (Moir, 1986). Epidurals became more widely available in the 1970s when a decline in home births occurred and active management of labour was introduced (Odibo, 2007). Currently, the rapid increase of epidural procedure rates were highlighted by the NHS Information Centre (NHSIC) (2011) where 25% of women in England who had spontaneous and induced onset of labour received epidural analgesia during labour between 2010 and 2011. There are substantial benefits to both mother and baby in the provision of epidural analgesia for labour including pain relief, during prolonged labour, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. I Appreciate Barbour s Praiseworthy And Toilsome Effort III. Critique First of all, I appreciate Barbour s praiseworthy and toilsome effort to put theology and science in a meaningful and fruitful dialogue, by seriously taking account of both continuities and discontinuities between scientific metaphors and religious metaphors. For Barbour, because both disciplines have continuities and discontinuities they can contribute to our more comprehensive understanding of the reality of our experiences in the world through their metaphorical relationship. While scientific models, theories, and paradigms are focused on the explanation of natural phenomena, the religious counterparts are more focused on the human experience of their natural/social environments and evoking moral and attitudinal responses, while religious affirmations do not exclude truth claims like the scientific claims do. Also, like religion, scientists also hold on to their traditions in their observation and interpretation of natural phenomena; hence, they are not neutral. In that sense, I agree with Barbour that science and religion bear significant similitude, while they can complement each other in our holistic understanding of our world. It seems to me that this is well supported by Peacocke s concept of ontological monism. In our evolutionary understanding of the world, we could contend with Peacocke that All concrete particulars in the world including human beings with all of their properties are constituted only of fundamental physical ... At the time of activation of the third eye, we feel an itching sensation at the forehead region. We start seeing glimpses of various colors rotating around us. This psychology has several principals, and a therapy. Gestalt psychology came about in the 19th century with its main focus being that of elementistic nature of the work of Wundt. It is a school of thought that looks at the human mind and behavior as a whole. Gestalt psychology was emerged as a response to Wilhelm Wundt s structuralism. It utilizes the brain s tendency to seek a whole in order to understand its parts. Many psychologists after Wundt and Titchener set out to prove their theories wrong. Gestalt psychologists believe that there is more to perception than meets the eye. In other words, our perception goes beyond the sensory elements, the basic physical data provided to the sense organs (Schultz, 2011). The brain definitely has a tendency both to perceive groupings as wholes and to fill in gaps in order to understand parts. • 10. Cerebral Creatine Deficiency Syndromes ( Ccdss ) Essay Cerebral Creatine Deficiency Syndromes (CCDSs) Introduction A nitrogenous organic acid that is naturally produced in the kidney and liver of the human is called Creatine (Cr). The energy requirement of the body is maintained by the Cr by the production of ATP. The energy is mainly given to high energy demand tissues. The human brain is the most important tissue which requires Cr for the normal function. A part of creatine is converted into creatinine. This creatinine is removed from the body along with urine. Hence, a supplement of approximately 2g/day is required. Cr is present in the normal diet that we take. Loss of or the malfunction in the process carried out for the production of ATP can severely affect the human beings. This Cr deficiency is referred to as CCDSs. Creatine Cr as it is cannot help in the production of energy. There are many process downstream that helps Cr to perform its function. The following are the process involved. Creatine Synthesis: Creatine can be synthesized in the human body itself. Synthesis involves three amino acids: glycine, arginine and methionine mainly. The two enzymes that drives the Cr synthesis are arginine:glycine amidinotransferase (AGAT), guanidinoacetate methyltransferase (GAMT). Creatine synthesis is a two step process catalyzed by the above mentioned enzymes. AGAT catalyzes arginine and glycine forming ornithine and guanidinoacetate. • 11. The Violence Of The Media From 2000 to 2013 there were a total of 160 active shooter incidents and that number is increasing every year. The main reason shootings have become so prominent is because the media has oversaturated the news with pictures of the shooter, their life stories, and their histories of mental illness. Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Deitz has repeatedly told the media to localize mass shootings to the area effected because the more they fan the flames across the nation of potential shooters, the greater likelihood that another mass shooting will occur in the following weeks ( Charlie Brooker s Newswipe 25/03/09 ). If the media continues to overflow the minds of their viewers with nothing but 24/7 coverage of mass shooters, then we are increasing the likelihood of someone committing such an atrocity. We need to stop the media from extensively covering these stories of men and woman shooting up the public in order to keep the peace. Many people want to know when a shooting occurs so they are in the know , this is completely normal and okay, but when the media plasters the TV screen and websites with nothing but updates and stops all other newsworthy information, it can be excessive. The news should be delivering the news in not only a respectful manner, but also in a consistent manner; but when we have updates every 5 minutes, then the accuracy of the information the media delivers is significantly lower because they are trying to keep the viewers engaged by throwing out small ... • 12. The Impact Of Humanism In The Renaissance During the Renaissance, a program of study known as humanism, impacted education, art, politics, and ultimately shaped the Italian Renaissance. Humanism is defined as a program of study designed by Italians that emphasized the critical study of Latin and Greek literature with the goal of understanding human nature. [1] Humanism changed people s views and allowed them to start portraying people in a more realistic and relatable way. Many artists began to drift away from religious subjects and instead, began to focus more on individuals and their lives. In addition, humanism also allowed people to create new architecture that resembled classical constructions. Humanism impacted many visual arts, which include Leonardo da Vinci s Mona Lisa, Michelangelo s David, and Filippo Brunelleschi s Dome. The Mona Lisa was painted between 1503 and 1506 by Leonardo da Vinci, and is one of the most famous paintings in the world today. The painting is a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, and was painted for her husband, Francesco del Giocondo. Humanism has impacted this portrait in various ways. Lisa s smile has been described to be so enigmatic [1] that people are still trying to interpret the feelings behind her smile. The painting is greatly impacted by humanism as it focuses on realism and relatability, allowing Lisa to be portrayed as an everyday woman with the same flaws and impurities as anyone else. The DRA would return the right to vote to felons, who are out of jail and living in communities throughout the United States. This would give 4.3 million more Americans the right to vote. Supporters of the DRA argue that it advances democracy adding additional voters and maintains the American principle of inclusion. They also argue that most European countries either allow voting rights to prisoners or restore them once the prisoners are reincorporated into society. Proponents of the DRA also contend that it further protects public safety by giving felons an incentive to avoid committing future crimes. Bringing felons into the political fold rather than excluding them as political outsiders helps to deter them from committing crimes. They also argue that the DRA is a key part of the re incorporation process into society for felons and allows for some hope that continuing to live a crime free life will be rewarded. The DRA also helps to eliminate some disenfranchisement suffered by the African American community since the days of slavery and Jim Crow. The fact that African Americans are seven times more likely to be in prison than Whites and in three states (FL, KY, and VA) 20% of the African Americans have become disenfranchised is a major problem. • 15. Christian Philosophy Of Christian Theology From childhood we observe, study, and even absorb our surroundings. These observations cultivate the person we become and educates us on how to approach life situations independently. Independence is the self governing state of freedom to think and act as we desire. How we approach life events can be viewed from a philosophical and/or a theological perspective. This essay will compare different approaches in Christian theology to philosophy to see which study was more influential in our individual development. Christian theology is the study of Christian beliefs. There are four sources for this study including scripture, tradition, reasoning and experience. Scriptures are sacred writings that document historical events pertaining to Christianity. The Bible is the central location for the scriptures. Christians consider the Bible their source of truth and the reference material needed to handle all life events as a Christian should. There are various definitions regarding tradition however; one in particular lends itself best to Christian theology. Tradition is the continued sharing of stories, customs, or values to future generations by written or oral means. Tradition is passed down from generation to generation but, it is in vain without application. Tradition provides a sense of stability for Christian theology however it also can promote spiritual growth if allowed. Fiorenza (1984), noted that modern hermeneutics is being used to examine the source of Christian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was at the local library where Kamkwamba discovered his true love for electronics. Before, he had once set up a small business repairing his village s radios, but his work with the radios had been cheap. Kamkwamba, after some thought about a bicycle dynamo, his fondness for radios, and the wind levels at his home, decided to create a makeshift windmill. He experimented with a small model using a cheap dynamo and, using this experience, eventually made a functioning windmill that powered some electrical appliances in his family s house. Local farmers and journalists investigated the spinning device and Kamkwamba s fame in international news skyrocketed. • 17. The Color Blue Essay and green. Blue as discussed earlier was represented as the color of the God and other religious concepts, so the major incorporation of the color blue in the reliquary chasse indicated the spiritual significance it carried. Envisioning blue on the chasse unified people to Jesus Christ. Many of the reliquary chasse of the 12th century narrated a story; this individual one narrates the crucifixion of Christ. There are several key figures engraved throughout the exterior of the chasse, however since the crucial scene of the execution are shown on the front face of the chasse, that indicates that this chasse was primarily to be seen from the front rather than the sides. If viewed from the front, the top has three figures designed on it. In the center is the God the Father and on his either sides are two unknown saints. All three figures are represented in mandorlas however in different colors. The God of Father is displayed in the blue mandorla while the saints are shown in green mandorla. Here we can interpret a sense of hierarchy because the God of Father is shown in blue, which represents a divine color, however the saints are represented in green that is a mix of blue and yellow. So, blue still exists and represents divinity, yet the mixture of blue and yellow to produce a different shade of blue signifies that the God of Father is above and more important than the saints. The background is enameled with a deeper shade of blue, probably indicating the larger divinity of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Through constructed theories and knowledge, Rudolf Laban has influenced the culture of movement drastically, developing and shaping techniques which are still used today. In the beginning, Laban movement was primarily used for dancers and dance choreography to discover new ways to move. In the 80s and 90s, it had begun being used to help actors and to improve performances. Rudolf Laban was first recognised for his dedication to supporting the movement of expressionist dance (also known as Ausdruckstanz), which had a big effect on the culture of movement as it changed the artistic stagnation of classical ballet and the maturity within the future of art. This movement arose in the 1900 s and was a protest against classical ballet which was perceived as tightly held and mechanical in fixed and conventional forms. This changed movement to become free and natural, allowing more flow and openness to arise. Rudolf Laban was considered a significant figure within this movement as he influenced the younger youth, teaching at a creative art school called Monte Verita situated in Switzerland. Laban became a key figure based off of his metaphysical ideas regarding his exploration of time and space within movement which further developed later in his career. Australian film usually provides a hard working and hardy stereotype who lives in the outback and takes pride in his mates, and for a lot of the country, this is mostly true. The typical Australian is a laid back, hard working community member who prides the relationship they have with their mates, who may not even be a person. The saying a man s best friend is his dog is incredibly true for many, especially Australians, where dogs can be found in all walks of life. At least, this is Kriv Stender s perspective of Australian identity, seen in his 2011 film Red Dog. Red Dog tells the story of a dog who wandered around the outback before settling down in Dampier, a mining town of north Western Australia. There he finds himself a home and a family, within the close knit community. This reflects Stender s perspective of the Australian identity, and what qualities are valued within Australian culture. The environment within the film shows a vast, dry and barren land, coated in a layer of red dust that is iconic within Australian film, and builds onto the identity. This is red dirt is so rich in its colour, and this can be seen in the scene where Red Dog earns his name, after being coated in the dust while sitting on the back of a trailer as it travelled across the land.
