Essay on Why the Design Argument Fails
Why the Design Argument Fails The Design Argument does fail due to its weaknesses, it is lacking in
factual and substantial evidence to prove its theories. It puts forward a lot of ideas and claims however
they are not justified well enough; the only true fact is that you have to believe them. I feel it is correct
to claim that it fails due to the amount of criticising evidence against the theories for the existence of
God.
The main philosopher to criticise and object to the Teleogical Argument was David Hume. He looked
at every point towards the existence towards a creator and designer and then thought logically about
the condemnation and came up with rebuttals. He realised that ... Show more content on

He then compares a watch against a floating vegetable. A clock to a large organic mass is not possible
to compare. It would be better to compare it to an immense floating object. He is stating how absurd it
is that a small simple item could be linked to such a powerful designer. You cannot link a watch
towards something, which is a far more superior, and multitasking being. Like many of these
assumptions they are lacking concrete evidence to prove it, it is just a theory and therefore weakens
the argument towards the existence of a creator.
Another protestation, which Hume makes, is the difference between the world at present and the world
at birth. He asks how we can link what was then from what we see now, the time difference is too
great and too big of an assumption. When we link the dinosaurs and try to analysis their life and habits
we can only learn from what we have. Then we tend to assume what time period they lived and who
hunted whom. Once again there is no real evidence to prove where or when they existed and this is
just like the creator theories. We assume and try to link things together from what we have without
looking at all the evidence and waiting for 100% accurate facts. So we just predict and say it is the
way forward. However this is incorrect and therefore false to state this. Yet many Philopshers tend to
say that it is

Ronald Reagan Ethos
President Reagan in his grief driven, yet inspiring speech Explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger
Address to the Nation, he expresses the nation s collective anguish in the wake of the accident. Reagan
s purpose is to praise the lost astronauts for their service and assure to NASA and the rest of America
that, even if these deaths happened, they should continue working towards space explorations for
future generations. He adopts a somber yet reflective tone in order to evoke a sense of a silver lining
in the minds of the American families across the nation. To do so, Ronald Reagan utilizes the three
rhetorical appeals: ethos, pathos, and logos.
At the start of his speech, Reagan chooses to apologize for the postponement of the annual State ...

He first commemorates the pioneers of space for their service, noting their courage and painstakingly
stating each of their names slowly and reverently. He is giving life to the astronauts, working to show
the audience that these are not just two words on a procter, but courageous trailblazers on a mission to
pursue their dreams of space exploration for America. Reagan is trying to establish their emotions to
bridge this gap from random stranger to fallen hero and draw much needed respect for them in the
wake of this tragedy, and solace for their loved ones. Reagan even addresses the schoolchildren
watching their teacher die upon launch and states that sometimes painful things like this happen (6).
Reagan knows that the children are going to be the future astronauts and shuttle engineers, so he is
essentially trying to reassure them that, though this is what can happen to pioneers, this is the only
way progress can be made. If he doesn t do this, people start to question the necessity for continuing in
this race for space and ultimately doubt the need to fund NASA. Reagan chooses to address these
concerns

Term Limit Analysis
Term Limits Needed The Supreme Court has been left without a majority vote and is dysfunctional.
The current fiasco that is happening in Washington with the court being weakened by other branches
of the government is an example of the Supreme Court being diminished by political battling.
Therefore, term limits are necessary because they would reduce political fighting, younger judges are
more in touch and terms will allow more diversity on the court. Term limits can affect political
feuding in a positive way minimizing political arguments. Since the Supreme Court job is a lifetime
job so when it comes to appointing a new judge the discussions go over the roof debating on whether
he or she should be a republican or democrat. Term limits will not only stable power between the
political parties but also allow new perspectives. In fact, in 2015 two thirds of Americans supported 10

Having variety in women and men with different ethnic backgrounds will help the view cases in a
better way. It matters that there s diversity on the court. I think it makes for better lawmaking, because
you have people with more diverse range of judgement and who are going to make a better decision
on the law ( Rachel Maddow 2014). A woman may relate to a case more than a man which is why
diversity is needed. For example, the Roe Vs. Wade trial on abortion that was all decided by men. It is
more likely that if the case had a women involved there would have been better understanding of the
situation. Term limits will have a major impact on the supreme court because they would decrease
political tense, younger judges are more mentally and physically in touch with current society and
terms will allow more diversity on the court. A sharper mentality will allow a better understanding as
well as diversity on the court. Not only will term limits control the power but will reduce political

Tax Memorandum Essay
Fact: Peaceful Pastures Funeral Home, inc. (Peaceful). Peaceful, an accrual basis taxpayer provides a
full line of funeral service and sells goods related to those services. Peaceful has attempted to design
an approach that allows customers to prepay for their funeral goods and services.
Issue: IRS sent Peaceful an audit notice. It contends that the amount prepaid under Peaceful s program
constitutes prepaid income that must be included in Peaceful s income (and therefore subject to tax) in
the year in which it s received.
Conclusion: Peaceful should pay the audit based on the facts. The IRS is correct according to the tax
code and laws.

General Grain Theory
A variety of programs attempt to achieve the crime control goals established by general strain theory,
but none are explicitly drawn from general strain theory. Restorative justice programs are an example
of this. These restorative programs aim to impose less severe sanctions on offenders to reduce the risk
of offenders viewing their punishment as unjust. This is accomplished by making offenders aware of
the harm they caused and allow offenders to have a say in the sanction they are subjected to. The
offenders also have a voice in mediating with the community and victim of their crime, which in turn
helps teach them to cope with strains through legitimate, non criminal means (Agnew, 2006). These
strategies would be beneficial in allowing students to realize the emotional ... Show more content on

The main reason students resort to weapons carrying, criminal coping, according to general strain
theory is their lack of legitimate coping mechanisms. Schools should be required to teach and offer
students non criminal ways of coping with strains in their life. Teacher mediation would be one
effective strategy to help eliminate strains or effectively deal with strains. When students are suffering
from bullying rather than turning to weapons carrying as a coping mechanism, students should be
taught to inform their teachers of the strain and deal with it through mediation. Mediation is a way for
negative emotions to be expressed and potentially eliminate the negative stimuli of bullying from a
student s daily life. Drawing from restorative justice, which is influenced by general strain as theory,
this tactic for combating weapons carrying could be shown to be very effective. If utilized to its full
potential general strain theory can be combined with other criminological theories to produce effective
policy to oppose weapons carrying in

Analyzing The Movie The Killing Joke
I am studying the Killing Joke so I can understand the reason people change after an extra ordinary
event takes place that affects them physically and psychologically in order to help readers understand
why one bad day changes everything.
The Killing Joke as the name goes will make it obvious to viewers to know it s a Batman and Joker
movie because of the well known production company involved in making it which is non other than
Warner Bros. The Killing Joke revolves round how the Joker came to be at the same time also shows
affections between Batman and Batgirl and a line of lunacy meant for J Gorgen to cross orchestrated

I really like animation so seeing this one with all its shadow effects and really good graphics of the
characters. One main part where I really appreciated the graphics was at the end of the movie when
Batman and the Joker stood together laughing and the rain made his hair look tired and worn out
which was actually brilliant giving the fact that they were just in a fight. Another aspect that agrees
with me on how good the graphics were, was the craziness maintained on the looks of the Joker at the
scene where he arrived at Barbara s house to shoot her, dressed in a multicolored Hawaiian tee shirt,
shorts, a manual switch film camera and a revolver. I think all these effects were put to good use in
designing the image of the Joker on showing how twisted he got after his extraordinary transformation
from having one bad day.
The ending of the movie leaves viewers asking questions on what really happened after the shared
laugh between The Joker and Batman and then after which the screen fades to black the screen leaving
only Batman laughing in the background. This aspect was handled in a way to generate question and
discussion concerning what

Queen Music Essay
Queen
Queen was a glam rock band that formed in 1971 in London. The band consisted of four men; Freddie
Mercury who sang lead vocals and played piano, Brian May who played lead guitar and sang, Roger
Taylor who was on drums, sang, and played guitar, and finally John Deacon who played bass guitar.
All four men also contributed and were songwriters. This British quartet developed into camp and
bombastic music which created a vast, mock operatic sound that consisted of layered guitar sounds
and overdubbed vocals.
Freddie Mercury was a flamboyant lead singer who brought a dramatic vocal style to the group. His
onstage antics were outrageous and brought a special personality and reputation to Queen. The

Zika Fever Essay
The aim of this study is to explore Zika virus infection from ethical dimensions, to determine methods
of struggle carried out by policy makers. The target audience is media and social researchers, as well
as scientists who deal with that disease. The purpose of this research is to answer the question what is
the best way to struggle and prevent Zika virus from ethical standpoint.
Zika is an illness brought on by Zika infection that is spread to individuals principally through the
nibble of a contaminated Aedes species mosquito. The most well known side effects of Zika are fever,
rash, joint agony, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The disease is generally mellow with indications going
on for a few days to a week in the wake of being nibbled by a tainted mosquito. In May 2015, the Pan

scientific interest. This phenomenon did not cause any fear in medical community either presumably
for the reason that the number of victims was not so big (15 people within 60 years).

The Legacy Of President Abraham Lincoln
President Abraham Lincoln was the leader of the United States for five years, yet he is often only
remembered for leading the Union to victory in the Civil War and freeing the slaves in the process.
These accomplishments go together and it is easy to assume part of, if not the entire reason for war
was to end slavery. He is credited with freeing the slaves because of his emancipation proclamation.
This eventually brings and end to the institution, but should we really credit this all to Lincoln? Was
Lincoln the only one to recognize the moral issues with slavery and destroy it with one single blow?
African Americans are overlooked when talking about their emancipation but they were some of the
strongest advocates for the end to slavery ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Therefore, we appeal to you to stand by us, and see that we are not unjustly punished (McPherson, p.
16). Massachusetts representatives opposed the compromise in Washington which proved the
importance the free northern blacks in attaining freedom for all African Americans. After these failed
attempts at compromise, war ensues. In the early stages of the war many blacks ran across battle lines
to the north attempting to escape bondage. Under the fugitive slave law, they were returned back to
their owners. This begins to change after prominent free back leaders like Fredrick Douglass chastise
the government for avoiding slavery as the central war issue. He exclaims, Why? Oh! Why, in the
name of all that is national, does our Government allow its enemies this powerful advantage? ... The
very stomach of the rebellion is the negro in the condition of a slave... The negro is the key of the
situation the pivot upon which the whole rebellion turns... (McPherson, p. 39). He explains that not
only is slavery is a moral issue that the war should be fought for, but he brings policy maker s
attentions to the fact that the south s rebellion relies on slavery and without it would crumble.
Douglass not only attacked the issue of slavery from the legislative side but also from a grassroots

Greek Revolution Research Paper
The Greek people suffered from oppression and inequality under the Ottoman empire for over 400
years before finding bright individuals that would aid them in starting a revolution that would change
their lifestyles forever. Why did the Greek wait 400 years to revolt? Although the answer is not clear,
the peasants and farmers were too poor and uneducated because the area of Greece was in poverty.
The Greeks found three different inspirational people that would help them discover what they valued
and why they needed freedom from the Ottomans. What pushed the Greeks to finally revolt in the
Greek War of Independence was the increased religious discrimination, the motivation of the prophets
of the revolution, and the taxation policy.

The Liberal World Order Essay examples
The Liberal World Order
The liberal world order is as much an economic idea, as it is a political one. The liberal world order is
very much based on the rule of law. Such things are apparent in a liberal world order such as
individual liberties, private property and free trade.
According to Ludwig von Mises, a liberal world order was inseparable from liberal economic policies:
A nation s policy forms an integral whole. Foreign policy and domestic policy are closely linked
together, they condition each other. Economic nationalism is the corollary of the present day domestic
policies of government interference with business and of national planning, as free trade was the

The first of these stated by Mises was a free market for labour, in other words, the level of wages and
conditions should be set by the employers, after negotiation with the employees, rather than being
controlled by the government.
The second economic constraint set out by Mises was that there should be a market economy, whereby
the forces in the market should be left to work freely, that supply and demand should be left to
determine price rather than the government regulating this.
Thirdly, free trade is seen as an essential aspect of a liberal world order, he stated that it must be free
to import and export between countries, with out control by governments.
Finally, there must be a free market monetary system in place, in that the government must not control
either the value or the flow of money in the economy
Mises also argued that, if a country s domestic economic activity was to be fully privatised, this would
mean that the economic activity in that country would effectively be free from political influences, as
it would not be the government controlling it.
He argued that the way to attain peace and prosperity was not by governing and controlling, but rather
by limiting the level of governance, and that society would naturally sort itself out.
This idea was also agreed by Ricardo:

The Static Model Of Data Mining Essay
Abstract: Lot of research done in mining software repository. In this paper we discussed about the
static model of data mining to extract defect .Different algorithms are used to find defects like naïve
bayes algorithm, Neural Network, Decision tree. But Naïve Bayes algorithm has the best result .Data
mining approach are used to predict defects in software .We used NASA dataset namely, Data rive.
Software metrics are also used to find defects.
Keywords: Naïve Bayes algorithm, Software Metric, Solution Architecture,.
I. INTRODUCTION
According to [1], multiple algorithms are combined to show better prediction capability using votes.
Naïve Bayes algorithm gives the best result if used individual than others. The contribution of this
paper based on two reasons. Firstly, it provides a solution architecture which is based on software
repository and secondly it provides benchmarks that provide an ensemble of data mining models in the
defective module prediction problem and compare the result. Author used NASA dataset online [2]
which contain five large software projects with thousands of modules. Bohem found 80/20 rule and
about the half modules are defect free [3]. Fixing Defects in the operational phase is considerably
more expensive than doing so in the development or testing phase. Cost escalation factors ranges from

Abstract In order to synthesize our metal complexes, we were able to make both Copper and
Ruthenium metals. From this, we combined each metal complex with DMSO by refluxing the
compound. The metal complexes were analyzed through their melting point and IR spectroscopy to
determine whether the metal bonded to a Sulfur atom or an Oxygen atom of the DMSO. After
analyzing the IR spectrum, it was determined that S=O shifted to a lower wavenumber in
CuCl2~2DMSO and that S=O shifted to a higher wavenumber in RuCl2~4DMSO.

When analyzing the IR spectrum of Ruthenium complex with DMSO, the prominent peak is presented
at 1105.54 cm−1. This peak indicates that S=O bonded in DMSO. For DMSO, the frequency is around
1050 cm−1. From our spectra obtained for DMSO where the S=O peak is at 1017.65 cm−1. Since the
bond appears at a higher frequency, this shows that the bond is strengthened by the reaction. This
indicates that when the copper metal was combined with DMSO, it bonded with the Sulfur atom.
Combining ruthenium with sulfur atom caused it to donate a pi electron as a back donation.
Conclusions From both experiments, we were able to detect which Sulfur and Oxygen atom bonded to
the metal. Copper metal was added to DMSO to bond with the oxygen by weakening the S=O
therefore lowering the IR spectrum. As for Ruthenium metal, it was added to DMSO to bond with the
sulfur compound, strengthening the S=O therefore increasing the IR spectrum. Based on the IR
spectrums and melting points, my product for both metal were pure. References

body mass index. It calculated by measuring a child s weight and height and the found value is then

aged anywhere from 2 19 is more than 85% and less than 95% they are considered overweight.
(Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009). This tool is not a method used to diagnosis
childhood obesity but it s a valuable way to measure the prevalence of obesity worldwide.
Introduction: In 1998 the World Health Organization announced that obesity had become an epidemic
in both adults and children. This epidemic is a major concern in public health yet many countries are
failing to address the issue. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the causes contributing to this
increasing epidemic of childhood obesity. There are many causes that factor into childhood obesity but

The right engine was found attached to the wing with fractures and deformation in several locations of
the nacelle while the left engine was found eight days after the accident, separated near the initial
impact location with the waters (Knezevic). Both engines were sent to the Smithsonian Institution for
analysis. Around the time of the incident, they were able to find feather and tissue samples from both
engines (shown in figure 4) but wasn t able to discriminate between multiple birds within the same
species, sex, and maturity level (National). A more detailed DNA analysis was completed in February
2010 and determined that the left engine contained both male and female Canada geese remains,
indicating that the engine ingested at least two geese. The average length can range between 25 to 45
inches while the average weight of a male Canada goose is from 3 to 13 pounds, and the average
weight of a female goose is from 3 to 11 pounds (Canada). The Smithsonian Institution report stated
that only male Canada goose remains were found in the right engine, suggesting that it might have
only ingested one bird; however, a comparison of the physical features

Analysis Of David Lynch s Mulholland Drive
Regarded as one of the most important directors of our century, David Lynch, was born in 1946 in
Missoula, Missouri. Lynch is also a screenwriter and producer and is one of the first to make
surrealism popular. Through his critically acclaimed films like Elephant Man, Eraser Head and Blue
Velvet, he earned his title as the first to make surrealism popular. Like any surrealist worth his salt,
Lynch creates his own version of reality, with its own set of often unfathomable and inexplicably, but
emotionally and psychologically resonant qualities. In his 2001 film, Mulholland Drive, a mystery
film that tells the story of an aspiring actress named Betty, newly arrived in Los Angeles, who meets
and becomes friends with an amnesiac woman, who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This in fact builds the atmosphere as vaguely disorienting, since the audience has no auditory cues to
cling to before they are taken visually by the progression of events on the screen, and all other sounds
and speech sound louder and starker against the silence. When a soundtrack is layered in, however, the
music is often incongruous with the transpiring actions for example, the orchestral music played as
Betty exits LAX with the elderly couple strikes the listener as a very strange and eerie aroma with the
strings long and mournful notes, and the jaunt and upbeat jazzy music that fills the air as Adam
confronts and is thrown out of his house by his cheating wife seems inappropriate for the situation.
Lynch s auditory cues are proposed to further confuse the audience and to mislead them through the
plot of Mulholland Drive, but his deceptiveness further allows deeper reflection. This is why
Mulholland Drive is such a great example of a film to analyze because of David Lynch s ability to
really portray certain concepts and intentional film elements that are left up to individual
interpretations.
Much of Lynch s directorial skills projected the film as a very highly regarded film. The arrangement
of everything that appears in the framing actors, lighting, décor, props, costume is called mise en

Among this adaptation came the genome allowing for males to develop brood pouches and the ability

described over one hundred different species of the Hippocampus genus and mistakenly designated
names for members of the same species, meaning that the actual count of distinct species is far lower
(SFSU Geography and Dames N 2000). The color adapting nature of the seahorse made taxonomy
quite difficult initially, but forced researchers to analyze the various species based upon other
characteristics, such as body size or the number of rings on their prehensile tails (SFSU Geography

much more accurate and reasonable thirty two, with little debate as to the legitimacy of this figure

Heated debates have emerged regarding the advantages and disadvantages of Prezi and PowerPoint.
Both programs are useful in their own ways and arguably, it is all a matter of preference. You might
say the arguments are beating a dead horse at this point, much like two old men arguing over the
weather or women. I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each, though, at the end, the
preference will be left up to the reader.

Additionally, PowerPoint does not offer all the same auto correct options that Microsoft Word does.
Therefore, attention to detail is a requirement when building a slideshow (Sheehan, 2012).
PowerPoint has had a pseudo monopoly on the market in the way of presenting material in an
attractive and entertaining way. That was until Prezi came to the business presentation market in 2009.
Prezi was developed to fill the void of a much needed alternative to the everyday PowerPoint
presentation. The new, freer flowing, less linear presentation platform excited people significantly. For
many, the standard, cheesy transitions available in PowerPoint limited the creativity of their
presentations, which in turn had the potential to limit their careers. Prezi s use of paths, where a free
moving camera follows a set of connected frames, instead of slides, makes every Prezi unique one has
almost infinite possibilities when deciding which direction, literally, he or she want to take the
presentation. Prezi has its drawbacks though. For instance, Prezi, unlike PowerPoint, does not have
spellchecker. This inconveniences those hurried executives who want to throw together a presentation
without having to scan every word for a typo. In addition, up until recently, Prezi users were not able
to insert new stops along the pathway easily. When a user took a screenshot, Prezi sent the frame to
the end of the presentation,

name suggests, it s the type of KS that develops in people who are infected with HIV/AIDS KS is the
most aggressive form of the disease and is found in HIV infected individuals, particularly frequent in

advantage of the weakened immune system of the patient in order to survive in the host body.
Studies conducted to understand the epidemiology and pathogenesis of KS show that globally, there is
an uneven distribution of Kaposi s sarcoma associated herpesvirus (KHSV). Results show that areas,
such as sub Saharan Africa, have a higher prevalence of the endemic type KS. This type of KS tends
to occur in younger people and usually affects the lymph nodes and other organs. However, Western
Europe and United States have shown a low prevalence of endemic KS in the general population.

The wholesale value of equipment increased from $740 million in 1986 to $2.7 billion in 1999, where
about 25% accounts for golf balls. According to my statistical analysis, the sales will have grown to
$5,22 billion in 20102. In the international wholesale market, the value of the golf ball market was
estimated at $1.5 billion. Golf equipment ranks second in the national wholesale sales of sporting
goods.
US and international markets for golf clubs moved to maturity in 1997 and there was only modest
growth in the early 2000, because most golfers already upgraded their equipment and were waiting for
major new innovations.
In any case, Ely Callaway did succeed in his efforts and BB driver and its sisters became the best golf

Golf ball production also became a big business. Callaway decided to build own facilities from the

The Congress of Vienna (1814 1815) No event epitomizes the state of Europe in the wake of the
French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars as well as the Congress of Vienna held between 1814
1815. The culmination of centuries of European political tradition, the Congress was in many ways the
last gasp of monarchy in Europe, as the royal houses tried to restore the Europe they once knew and
ensure that their way of politics and society would be sustained even in the face of the radical wave of
change foreshadowed by the French Revolution. At that time of the Congress Europe was in a state of
disarray. The French Revolution that erupted in 1792, Napoleon Bonaparte s rise to power and the

Once in full swing, the Congress quickly moved into its first phase, the negotiations over Napoleon s
Duchy of Warsaw, otherwise known as Poland. The Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth had been
partitioned between 1772 to 1795 amongst Hapsburg Austria, Prussia, and Russia. Alexander I,
demanding compensation for Russia s efforts against Napoleon pushed for a plan in which the
Prussian and Austrian controlled sections of Poland would be combined into a new Kingdom of
Poland under Russian control. In exchange for ceding their Polish territories, Prussia would be given
the entire kingdom of Saxony, and Austria would be compensated with extensive holdings in northern
Italy. (Gulick) This proposition led to the bitterest conflicts at the Congress in what was dubbed the
Polish Saxon Crisis. The Coalition quickly broke into two opposing camps with Great Britain and
Austria in opposition to the Russian proposition, and Russia and Prussia in support of it. Metternich s
reasons for opposing Russian hegemony over Poland were the most pressing. Russian control of
Poland meant that the Hapsburg Empire would have to share its north and northeastern borders with
Russian soldiery. Likewise, if Prussia were to come into possession of Saxony then the northern
perimeter of the Empire would be even more susceptible to invasion, and the already strong political

Compare Disabled And An Unknown Girl
How do Disabled and An Unknown Girl convey the sense of personal identity?
Our personal identity shapes who we are or shall become, it is how a person sees them self, fitting into
their surroundings. Both Owen and Alvi explore the unpredictable personal identity of a person and
how it changes their lives for the worse in their poems Disabled and An Unknown Girl. The former
poem, filled with pathos, demonstrates a soldier s joyful life prior to and after WWI where he suffered
a devastating tragedy, losing all his limbs, emphasizing his deformed personal identity throughout the
poem. The latter, however, depicts a cultural visitor experiencing India in hopes of fulfilling her
somewhat incomplete heritage (and thus, personal identity), in which ... Show more content on

youth reveals a young man s life with a bright future ahead of him. The sense of a pleasant past is
reinforced when soon, he was drafted out with drums and cheers which emphasises the joyous idea of

of smart salutes; and care of arms; and leave; and pay arrears; Espirit de corps; and hints for young

The Epidemic Of Aids And Aids
AIDS
AIDS, also known as (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is definitely one of the most deadliest
disease that has hit the Earth in all of human existence. With all the medicine that can help a person
with this disease they still haven t cured it. The ways that the AIDS cells can reproduce different kinds
of AIDS cells, and plus the ways that a person can get the disease. These reasons are why AIDS are so
far incurable for humanity.
AIDS is a medical condition that a person has when their immune system is too weak to fight off
infections. AIDS is a updated or worst form of HIV that aggressively attacks the immune system. A
person with AIDS can have 200 white cells or lower. The virus AIDS is known to attack and kill the
white blood cells so that they can t fight off the infections in your body. The AIDS cells make their
way inside of the cells in your body then start to reproduce and kill that cell. No cell that the AIDS
cells reproduce are the same. That is why there is no cure for the AIDS or HIV virus, also known as
(Human Immunodeficiency Virus). The only thing that the doctors can do is slow down the
reproduction process. AIDS was first found in Africa and Africa has an outstanding amount of AIDS
victims. Scientist believe that AIDS came from monkeys. Monkeys have cells of AIDS in their blood,
and since the people in Africa eat the monkeys the AIDS cells gets into their bloodstream and starts to
attack. Really no one knows the real reason that people have AIDS but

Sexualisation Of Women In Music Videos Essay
Sexualisation can be defined as the imposing adult sexuality on to children and young people before
they are capable of coping with it usually through the media. In my investigation I aim to discover the
effects that sexualisation of men and women in music videos and the effects that this has, mentally and
emotionally, on the younger Australian generation. I also aim to discover the extent to which music
videos have been sexualized over time. In music videos the dancing or portrayal of the people within
these videos is often of a very sexual driven nature. This re inforces the idea that women are sexual

Kurdistan Workers Party Research Paper
The Kurdistan Workers Party
I decided to do my paper on the terrorist organization named Kurdistan Workers party from what I
have read about them they are a very interesting group, but violent. The main reason for their attacks
is to form a Kurdistan state within Turkey. Some people apart of this organization feel that Turkey has
oppressed their culture. They want to fight Turkish officials to prove their point. The group was started
by Abdullah Ocalan, a man who believes in Marxist lenist ideas. Abdullah now resides in a Turkish
prison but still has control over what the PKK (Kurdish workers party) does. First, Some history of

to enjoy again as adults reminiscing about it as if it was an old video or picture. I remember keeping
my resent locked down and just being a good mommy s helper. All my sadness fears and things I
found to be a challenge would be kept in my heart. I would find my validation from helping other and

speak to a specialist who gave him great advice on how to quit his habit for good. The specialist told
Jon that there were five steps he needed to follow in order to start his journey to quit smoking. Set a

Quitting smoking is a very hard habit to break, and a good attitude is imperative to one s success. In
order for one to succeed in quitting smoking they must take each day one day at a time and not think

  • 2. Essay on Why the Design Argument Fails Why the Design Argument Fails The Design Argument does fail due to its weaknesses, it is lacking in factual and substantial evidence to prove its theories. It puts forward a lot of ideas and claims however they are not justified well enough; the only true fact is that you have to believe them. I feel it is correct to claim that it fails due to the amount of criticising evidence against the theories for the existence of God. The main philosopher to criticise and object to the Teleogical Argument was David Hume. He looked at every point towards the existence towards a creator and designer and then thought logically about the condemnation and came up with rebuttals. He realised that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He then compares a watch against a floating vegetable. A clock to a large organic mass is not possible to compare. It would be better to compare it to an immense floating object. He is stating how absurd it is that a small simple item could be linked to such a powerful designer. You cannot link a watch towards something, which is a far more superior, and multitasking being. Like many of these assumptions they are lacking concrete evidence to prove it, it is just a theory and therefore weakens the argument towards the existence of a creator. Another protestation, which Hume makes, is the difference between the world at present and the world at birth. He asks how we can link what was then from what we see now, the time difference is too great and too big of an assumption. When we link the dinosaurs and try to analysis their life and habits we can only learn from what we have. Then we tend to assume what time period they lived and who hunted whom. Once again there is no real evidence to prove where or when they existed and this is just like the creator theories. We assume and try to link things together from what we have without looking at all the evidence and waiting for 100% accurate facts. So we just predict and say it is the way forward. However this is incorrect and therefore false to state this. Yet many Philopshers tend to say that it is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Ronald Reagan Ethos President Reagan in his grief driven, yet inspiring speech Explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger Address to the Nation, he expresses the nation s collective anguish in the wake of the accident. Reagan s purpose is to praise the lost astronauts for their service and assure to NASA and the rest of America that, even if these deaths happened, they should continue working towards space explorations for future generations. He adopts a somber yet reflective tone in order to evoke a sense of a silver lining in the minds of the American families across the nation. To do so, Ronald Reagan utilizes the three rhetorical appeals: ethos, pathos, and logos. At the start of his speech, Reagan chooses to apologize for the postponement of the annual State ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He first commemorates the pioneers of space for their service, noting their courage and painstakingly stating each of their names slowly and reverently. He is giving life to the astronauts, working to show the audience that these are not just two words on a procter, but courageous trailblazers on a mission to pursue their dreams of space exploration for America. Reagan is trying to establish their emotions to bridge this gap from random stranger to fallen hero and draw much needed respect for them in the wake of this tragedy, and solace for their loved ones. Reagan even addresses the schoolchildren watching their teacher die upon launch and states that sometimes painful things like this happen (6). Reagan knows that the children are going to be the future astronauts and shuttle engineers, so he is essentially trying to reassure them that, though this is what can happen to pioneers, this is the only way progress can be made. If he doesn t do this, people start to question the necessity for continuing in this race for space and ultimately doubt the need to fund NASA. Reagan chooses to address these concerns ... • 4. Term Limit Analysis Term Limits Needed The Supreme Court has been left without a majority vote and is dysfunctional. The current fiasco that is happening in Washington with the court being weakened by other branches of the government is an example of the Supreme Court being diminished by political battling. Restorative justice programs are an example of this. These restorative programs aim to impose less severe sanctions on offenders to reduce the risk of offenders viewing their punishment as unjust. This is accomplished by making offenders aware of the harm they caused and allow offenders to have a say in the sanction they are subjected to. The offenders also have a voice in mediating with the community and victim of their crime, which in turn helps teach them to cope with strains through legitimate, non criminal means (Agnew, 2006). Another aspect that agrees with me on how good the graphics were, was the craziness maintained on the looks of the Joker at the scene where he arrived at Barbara s house to shoot her, dressed in a multicolored Hawaiian tee shirt, shorts, a manual switch film camera and a revolver. I think all these effects were put to good use in designing the image of the Joker on showing how twisted he got after his extraordinary transformation from having one bad day. According to Ludwig von Mises, a liberal world order was inseparable from liberal economic policies: A nation s policy forms an integral whole. Thirdly, free trade is seen as an essential aspect of a liberal world order, he stated that it must be free to import and export between countries, with out control by governments. Finally, there must be a free market monetary system in place, in that the government must not control either the value or the flow of money in the economy Mises also argued that, if a country s domestic economic activity was to be fully privatised, this would mean that the economic activity in that country would effectively be free from political influences, as it would not be the government controlling it. This is why Mulholland Drive is such a great example of a film to analyze because of David Lynch s ability to really portray certain concepts and intentional film elements that are left up to individual interpretations. Much of Lynch s directorial skills projected the film as a very highly regarded film. The arrangement of everything that appears in the framing actors, lighting, décor, props, costume is called mise en scène, a French term that means placing on stage. Refer to Figure 4 for a visual representation of Hippocampus ancestry and adaptations. Teleosts, which were believed to have evolved roughly two hundred million years ago, are commonly called bony fish in reference to their evolved tail bones and new dorsal fins, additions that granted Teleosts heightened mobility, agility, and predatory skills (SFSU Geography and Dames N 2000). The slowly evolved absence of caudal fins made specialization and adaptation a necessity for Syngnathids (SFSU Geography and Dames N 2000). Early taxonomy described over one hundred different species of the Hippocampus genus and mistakenly designated names for members of the same species, meaning that the actual count of distinct species is far lower (SFSU Geography and Dames N 2000). The color adapting nature of the seahorse made taxonomy quite difficult initially, but forced researchers to analyze the various species based upon other characteristics, such as body size or the number of rings on their prehensile tails (SFSU Geography and Dames N 2000). Recent research has narrowed the number of one hundred species down to a much more accurate and reasonable thirty two, with little debate as to the legitimacy of this figure (SFSU Geography and Dames N ... You might say the arguments are beating a dead horse at this point, much like two old men arguing over the weather or women. I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each, though, at the end, the preference will be left up to the reader. Presentation style can be a game changer in many scenarios. Additionally, PowerPoint does not offer all the same auto correct options that Microsoft Word does. Therefore, attention to detail is a requirement when building a slideshow (Sheehan, 2012). PowerPoint has had a pseudo monopoly on the market in the way of presenting material in an attractive and entertaining way. That was until Prezi came to the business presentation market in 2009. Prezi was developed to fill the void of a much needed alternative to the everyday PowerPoint presentation. The new, freer flowing, less linear presentation platform excited people significantly. For many, the standard, cheesy transitions available in PowerPoint limited the creativity of their presentations, which in turn had the potential to limit their careers. Prezi s use of paths, where a free moving camera follows a set of connected frames, instead of slides, makes every Prezi unique one has almost infinite possibilities when deciding which direction, literally, he or she want to take the presentation. Prezi has its drawbacks though. For instance, Prezi, unlike PowerPoint, does not have spellchecker. This inconveniences those hurried executives who want to throw together a presentation without having to scan every word for a typo. In addition, up until recently, Prezi users were not able to insert new stops along the pathway easily. When a user took a screenshot, Prezi sent the frame to the end of the presentation, ... The culmination of centuries of European political tradition, the Congress was in many ways the last gasp of monarchy in Europe, as the royal houses tried to restore the Europe they once knew and ensure that their way of politics and society would be sustained even in the face of the radical wave of change foreshadowed by the French Revolution. The Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth had been partitioned between 1772 to 1795 amongst Hapsburg Austria, Prussia, and Russia. Alexander I, demanding compensation for Russia s efforts against Napoleon pushed for a plan in which the Prussian and Austrian controlled sections of Poland would be combined into a new Kingdom of Poland under Russian control. In exchange for ceding their Polish territories, Prussia would be given the entire kingdom of Saxony, and Austria would be compensated with extensive holdings in northern Italy. (Gulick) This proposition led to the bitterest conflicts at the Congress in what was dubbed the Polish Saxon Crisis. The Coalition quickly broke into two opposing camps with Great Britain and Austria in opposition to the Russian proposition, and Russia and Prussia in support of it. Metternich s reasons for opposing Russian hegemony over Poland were the most pressing. Russian control of Poland meant that the Hapsburg Empire would have to share its north and northeastern borders with Russian soldiery. Likewise, if Prussia were to come into possession of Saxony then the northern perimeter of the Empire would be even more susceptible to invasion, and the already strong political bond ...
