Ruthenium metals. From this, we combined each metal complex with DMSO by refluxing the
compound. The metal complexes were analyzed through their melting point and IR spectroscopy to
determine whether the metal bonded to a Sulfur atom or an Oxygen atom of the DMSO. After
analyzing the IR spectrum, it was determined that S=O shifted to a lower wavenumber in
CuCl2~2DMSO and that S=O shifted to a higher wavenumber in RuCl2~4DMSO.

Conclusions From both experiments, we were able to detect which Sulfur and Oxygen atom bonded to
the metal. Copper metal was added to DMSO to bond with the oxygen by weakening the S=O
therefore lowering the IR spectrum. As for Ruthenium metal, it was added to DMSO to bond with the
sulfur compound, strengthening the S=O therefore increasing the IR spectrum. Based on the IR

I decided to do my paper on the terrorist organization named Kurdistan Workers party from what I
have read about them they are a very interesting group, but violent. The main reason for their attacks
is to form a Kurdistan state within Turkey. Some people apart of this organization feel that Turkey has
oppressed their culture. They want to fight Turkish officials to prove their point. The group was started
by Abdullah Ocalan, a man who believes in Marxist lenist ideas. Abdullah now resides in a Turkish
prison but still has control over what the PKK (Kurdish workers party) does. First, Some history of

something as severe as lung cancer. Jon, a frequent smoker, decided he would put down his cigarettes
for good. Jon threw his last pack of cigarettes in the garbage that day. Today though, Jon is still
smoking. He only went two days without smoking and began to experience great withdrawals. Jon
thought he had to buy another pack just to feel better. Jon saw the commercial again today and decided
that he could not do this alone; he needed help. Jon called the number on the commercial and began to
speak to a specialist who gave him great advice on how to quit his habit for good. The specialist told

For most of the population of the world, childhood is filled with countless invaluable memories. There
are ordinary events such as attending numerous friends birthday parties or hoping for as many snow
days as possible. One may remember specific memories, in particular attending a local carnival or the
day they received their favorite stuffed animal. For a smaller portion of the population, childhood is
tainted by memories of an emotionally and/or physically abusive parent. As troubling as those
memories can be, experience in dealing with such adversity might be useful as one venture into
adulthood. Adults who have experienced significant childhood stress might display a hostile
personality, meaning they distinguish a threat in situations that others view as normal. It s suggested
