8. Preface
100 Instagram Posts of LIFE Lessons and 100 Instagram Posts of LIFE Lessons 2
were published for free distribution in 2018 and 2019 respectively. The feedbacks for these
2 Full Color books were very encouraging and this motivated me to come out with the third
volume 100 Instagram Posts of LIFE Lessons 3 – in digital pdf format because of the
high cost of printing the book in full color.
As for the first two books, 100 Instagram Posts of LIFE Lessons 3 has the following
objectives:
(i) To help convey very important Dhamma / LIFE Lessons teachings
(ii) To provide useful material for the spiritual practitioner to reflect and contemplate upon
in his quest for spiritual growth
(iii) To help one grow in loving-kindness, compassion, wisdom and peace.
Like the first two volumes, 100 Instagram Posts of LIFE Lessons 3 makes use of color
pictures and images in digital form to capture the reader’s attention and render the Life
Lessons / Dhamma teachings more readable and easier to remember and digest.
Remembering and putting them into practice are very important for Dhamma growth.
The contents of this book were actually a selection from my more than 400 Instagram
posts in my Instagram Website. Some editing and adjustments were done to the posts.
I have tried to put across in this Instagram book the most important Dhamma teachings of
the Buddha to reflect upon and practice again and again to effect a Dhamma realization.
May all beings strive in the Dhamma to conquer the mental defilements and end Dukkha.
With Metta, Bro. Oh Teik Bin April 2021

14. When we understand well the body and mind,
happiness and peace we're more likely to find.
1
15. When Dhamma is reflected on and practiced,
you are on the way to happiness and peace.
2
16. Beware of speaking words that are unwholesome.
One who uses wrong speech soon becomes loathsome.
3
17. Once an unwholesome addiction sets in,
we need wisdom to clear the mind within.
4
18. Reflecting on and actualizing the Dhamma constantly
will help us to cope with Life's tribulations most certainly.
5
44. Seeing the humorous side of our living
can help us cope with many a stressful thing.
31
45. When the mind is so troubled with many a wrong doing,
it's hard to have a cheerful, joyful or peaceful feeling.
32
46. The more Dhamma Teachings we actualize,
the more our happiness and peace will rise.
33
47. The Dhamma Teachings must be well put into practice.
Only then will there arise calm and good mental ease.
34
48. Great Words of Wisdom are a treasure beyond measure.
When actualized in the mind, they bring peace, that's for sure.
35
49. We need to conquer all anger, ill-will and hate.
These Mara forces lead to a suffering state.
36
50. If we do not learn how to handle anger effectively,
we're heading for a life of much suffering and misery.
37
51. An angry man loses his calm and mental clarity.
He is not able to think, speak and act truly wisely.
38
52. Anger is a danger to both body and mind.
Steps to slay anger must be taken all the time.
39
53. Great Quotes that inspire spiritually
can help us to live much more peacefully.
40
54. There is much Dhamma we can learn from those who are truly wise.
Without good spiritual guides, we falter despite many tries.
41
55. Mere book knowledge of the Dhamma would not give us Wisdom and Peace.
Dhamma Teachings must be actualized through constant Dhamma Practice.
42
56. It is very hard to find Noble Ones of great Wisdom and Compassion.

Such a practice can help to realize the Truth Sublime.
48
62. Anxiety, worry and mental dis-ease are on the rise.
"Learn, practice and realize the Dhamma," the Wise Ones advice.
49
63. Associating with the wrong 'friends' has led many astray.
Lured into worldly traps, Dukkha awaits, needless to say.
50
64. May my mind NOT dwell in the past thinking negatively.
May my mind NOT speculate on the future with worry.
51
65. Solitude and seclusion are important spiritual ways to practice.
They help the mind to concentrate and contemplate to be free from Dis-ease.
52
66. The only Way to realize Full Enlightenment
is Morality, Concentration and Wisdom.
53
67. Reflect constantly on the Verses of The Dhammapada.
Actualize them to help you conquer the forces of Mara.
54
68. With diligence we must keep on training our 'monkey mind'.
Watch the wandering mind , bring it back to the present time.
55
69. Keep on practicing Dana, Sila and Metta.
This will lead us to much more peace, joy and sukha.
Dana: Giving/Generosity Sila: Morality Metta: Loving-kindness Sukha: Happiness
56
70. Putting LIFE Lessons of Wisdom into practice
will bring us all more mental happiness and peace.
57
71. LIFE Lessons must be practiced, not merely knowing in theory.
Without practice, we're not walking the Path to end misery.
58
72. Heed the Words of The Fully Enlightened Buddha.
They pave the Way to the cessation of Dukkha.
59
73. For things so transitory, we spend so much time and energy.
For mind development that counts finally, we take it lightly.
What an irony!
60
74. ANGER is only one letter removed from DANGER.
Anger leads to much Dukkha here and the hereafter.
61
75. “Do Good, Avoid Evil and Purify the Mind.”
We will then attain real Joy, Peace and Truth Sublime.
