Wedding Speech
I skipped through the gardens, my large eyes darting back and forth at all the new things I had
never seen before. It was a big move, from a constant summer state to one with all seasons. There
were different plants and animals and I intended to find them all. I lift up my skirt, making sure the
hem doesn t become dirty. Mother would be terribly angry if I came back dirty, considering my
engagement party was in an hour.
One hour to explore like a silly child, my mother said harshly, I ll ring a bell, then you must return,
and become a full women. If that dress is dirty when you return I ll be chopping off heads!
Goodness be more presentable like you re older sisters for once!

What interrupted my thoughts? There was a baby white rabbit jumping around my feet. I slowly
kneel and stick out my hand, and it comes right up to me.
Hmm you seem to trust easily, I whisper to it, Shall I keep you? Mother did promise any gift I
liked for going along with this engagement.
It stares at me with its dark red eyes, like it was waiting. I hear a faint ticking noise in my ears from
the silence. It was almost winter, so all the birds were gone.
All right, I sigh, You won me over. I shall name you Tick Tock. What gender are you even?
Tick Tock seemed pleased with the name, but tried to escape when I lifted higher to check the
gender. Tick Tock was a boy. I take the ribbon I had tying my brown hair back and tie it lightly
around his neck.
There, I say, Much more presentable for an engagement party, don t you think?
I hold him close to my chest as I head back to the manor. Luckily Tick Tock wasn t too dirty so it
didn t get all over my dress. I go inside and maids surround me curious, all awing over the bunny. I
send some off to prepare an area for him in my room and some food. One maid tells me my mother
called for me, and I go off with Tick Tock to see her in her study. I open the door, Mother, you
called for me?
I only see her back, she was dramatically looking out the window.
Yes, she says coldly, You re back early and I wanted to see if you re dirty.
She turns and looks at me, and spots the bunny

Common Crimes In America
Crime is bad; it cannot be prevented nor ignored. Crime is everywhere we look. There is crime in
cities, states, and countries. People have many different motives and reasons for committing crimes.
A couple reasons include drugs, mental disorder, racism, poverty, and TV violence. About 360
crimes were reported in 2013. The top three common crimesin America include burglary, vehicle
theft, and aggravated assault. This essay will go over the different crimes and how everyone can
prevent them.

pain. In 2011, there were an estimated 751,131 aggravated assaults in the nation. I think that if you
don t want to get assaulted you shouldn t tempt the criminal. Everyone should always be prepared
for assault even if you don t suspect anything. Aggravated assault can happen any place and any
time even in your own home. What can we do? I think that we can purchase stronger security
systems, for example, have doors that make loud beeping sounds when they suspect someone

Management Plan For The Music Festival
Project management has always been an important branch of management. It involves gathering
different resources with using a scientific approach of management to build all types of projects,
starting from infrastructure facilities and buildings, to IT projects, or even to prepare and
manage special events. As far as special events are concerned, Music Festivals usually require
precise planning and organising for many reasons. The huge number of guests associated with
such events, and the different types of resources needed to complete the project are all crucial
elements, and will make planning for the Music Festival such a challenging task for the project
manager, especially if it lasts for few days. The lack of accommodation, the hilly nature of the
ground, and unexpected changes in weather are all problems facing the project manager that need
to be addressed appropriately. This essay will discuss the resourcing plan, risk managementplan, and
leadership and management plan for the Music Festival. it will also discuss the reasons behind
choosing the predictive approach among other available options in implementing project life cycles.
The Music Festival is going to be held in the countryside of Victoria during the Australia Day
weekend in 2016. The expected number of guests are between 8000 12000 guests and might
change without prior notice. The local accommodation is limited, which means many extra units or
little tents will be prepared and provided to address this

Yigael Yadins Archaeological Contributions
Yigael Yadin s Archaeological Contributions
Introduction
Biblical Archeology has helped in supporting the historicity of the Bible. Not that archaeology
proves or disapproves the Bible this it does not, it only supports the history of the Bible. One of
the discoveries that support the biblical historicity is the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Dead Sea Scrolls
came from eleven caves, mined over the course of seven years, over 15,000 documents supporting
biblical historicity have been unearthed at Qumran. One of the archeologist that played an
important part in this discovery was Yigael Yadin of Israel

Not only did he contribute to the discovery and research of the Dead Sea Scrolls but he also was
responsible for unearthing many mysteries that surrounded the history of Israel at places like
Masada, Hazor and Tel Megiddo. In this paper I will briefly talk about Yadin s life, his
archeological achievements and major contributions to biblical archeology and in doing so will
show that Yadin was no ordinary archeologist but truly was a one of the most influential
archeologists concerning the discoveries as it relates to the history of Israel.
Early Life Yigael Yadin s original name was Yigael Sukenik and he was born March 21, 1917 in
Jerusalem. His mother was Chassiya Sukenik and his father was Lipa Sukenik. Even as a child
people remarked how exceptionally beautiful he was and how remarkable he was at a young age.
This would prove to be true later in life. He was considered as growing up in a middle class Jewish

The Common Law System Of England
ntroduction
During the 12th and 13th century, a survey was conducted on tradition, custom and law under the
common law system of England. This survey originally developed as court decisions. In England,
the equity laws are developed after the creation of the common law. The analysis based on
development of justice and is now used in the royal courts. This gives us the story of the 1066
when the England was attacked and concluded that there is no common law system, but the local
court system. It is called the power of traditional dishes such as Shires and counties. The
foundations of the common law have known in public as customary law. In this assignment, author
will describe the development of the UK system of common Law and Equity. Arguments about
judge s role in the development of legal principles will be made.
The Common Law
During the conquest in 1066, William applied old legal customs in generalizing to the entire
kingdom. It was the origin of the Common Law; the essential characteristic was that it was rooted
deeply in Roman law to be based on the customs and practices from medieval traditions. These
customs are still mainly oral; procedures are carried out by royal courts who judge case leaving
significant room for interpretation. Gradually, the common law is insufficient and ineffective for a
number of disputes.
The Equity
Individuals appeal directly to the king, arguing the fairness of their problems. This procedure, called

The Cost Of Late Term Abortion
Late Term Abortion By Kelsey Holm The Cost of Late Term Abortion We have seen a
monumental amount of political and social activism coming from Pro life and Pro choice
proponents in the 25 years following the Supreme Court s landmark decision in Roe v. Wade.
Far from settling the issue of a woman s constitutional right to an abortion, the Roe decision
galvanized pro life and prochoice groups and precipitated many small battles in what many on
both sides view to be a war between fetal protection and women s access to reproductive choice
(Oliveri, 1998). Now, the choice to abort a child in what is now being deemed as late term
abortion is something that activists and political leaders are wanting. This argument goes
beyond the political level and is now at the judicial level. This argument has even gone into the
main streets of our society with each side gaining and losing ground. More recently, we have a
presidential candidate who sides with Pro choice and late term abortion. Pro life activists staged
peaceful, nation wide campaign of clinic protests to oppose this cause. The protests had to be
peaceful because of violent conflicts that occurred in the past which led Congress in 1994 to
enactment of the Federal Access to Clinic Entrances law (Oliveri, 1998). This law created specific
civil and criminal penalties for violence outside of abortion clinics (Oliveri, 1998). State legislatures
imposed limitations on the right to abortion, including

raffle for a ВЈ100 gift card to the shop and every customer who buys a product, or gives in their
old bike will be entered. I will set up this business as throughout my time living in Carmarthen I
have had to go out my way to visit the bike shops the three main bike shops are not in town there
are on the outskirts and if I set up my business in town I will be in prime locations for customers
that don t want to travel to the outskirts of town for their biking needs, so there is a gap in the

Crime And The Quality Of Life
Introduction
For better or worse, there is a link between crime and society. Society is strongly affected by
crime due to the cost and the decline in the quality of life that citizens face as a result of criminal
activity. Since there is a relationship associated with crime and the quality of life, then reducing
crime is one of the top priorities of a police department. However, reducing crime is a major
challenge for any police department around the world. Staffing shortages are one of the biggest
challenges facing police departments while attempting to reduce crime. Many agencies across the
United States are having trouble recruiting new police officers and keeping experienced, seasoned
officers on the police force. Staffing shortages are due to low pay, a cut in benefits, and the
national anti police sentiment being broadcasted across many news organizations daily. The
Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in 2015 publicly released that there was an average of 2.3
officers per 1,000 inhabitants within cities that had more than 10,000 residents (The Federal Bureau
of Investigation s 2015). An average of 2.3 officers per 1,000 residents is not enough to deter or
prevent crime. In a preliminary report for 2015 crime stats, the FBI noted, there is an overall
increase in violent crimes. Based on data provided by 12,879 law enforcement agencies throughout
the United States, murders have increased 6.2 percent and aggravated assaults have increased 2.3
percent since

Complementarity In Wesley s Song, Wouldn T Change A Thing
Complementarity is defined as the popularly supposed tendency, in a relationship between two
people, for each to complete what is missing in the other. This explains the phenomenon of
opposites attract; people tend to be attracted to those that are different in personality than them
because their differences are complementary. The song, Wouldn t Change A Thing, by Demi
Lovato and Joe Jonas, represents the idea of opposites being attracted to each other, but yet, they
are complementary. The chorus states, Like fire and rain, you can drive me insane, but I can t stay
mad at you for anything. We re Venus and Mars. We re like different stars, but you re the harmony
to every song I sing and I wouldn t change a thing. The rest of the song explains that although they

This means that in order to get the attention of others that we like, we will drop compliments
here and there. This is not only flatter them, but to also get that specific person to like us back in
some way, whether we just want them to like us as a friend or more than friends. Trevor Wesley
s song, Chivalry Is Dead, describes that act of a man being a gentleman towards a woman. So I
must open doors and make you feel like the lady you are. My momma raised me to be classy, not
flashy. I m happy to please you, though I can tell that s not what you re used to and they say
chivalry is dead, says Wesley. The message that the song is trying to get across is that today, many
women view acts of kindness as foreign and strange because unfortunately, it is common for
women to be disrespected more than ever; this explains the idea that chivalry is dead. However,
Wesley says that chivalry still exists; women should be treated with respect and although he acts
like a gentleman, that does not mean he will take advantage of

Comparing Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman Architecture Essay
The two ancient civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome were the best of the best during their
time periods. Ancient Greece began around 2000 B.C. by the inhabitants known as the Mycenaean
s, followed by the Minoans. The Minoans built the foundation of Greece. The Roman Empire was
founded around 753 B.C. by the two twins, Romulus and Remus. Romulus ended up killing Remus
and built the city of Romeon one of seven rolling hills. Architecture was very important to both
civilizations and they were always trying to out due the other. The architectural style of the Ancient

The Correlation Between The Number Of Positive Social Essay
Abstract
This proposal aims to explore the correlation between the number of positive social supports that
adolescents between 15 and 18 years old have and their success in achieving sobriety when
attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Participants will be recruited through an availability
sampling method and asked to participatent in this longitudinal research study. As a result, this

Effectiveness of Narcotics Anonymous for Adolescents
Drug addiction can be a powerful and complex situation for some individuals to gain control of.
Research and health professionals have historically shown that 12 step programs provide the tools
and healthy social networks that are immensely beneficial to achieving sobriety. However, prior
studies have largely focused on these programs effectiveness for adults, whereas younger
populations are also seeking treatment for drug addiction. This longitudinal study will have only
adolescent participants to enhance the minimal research that has been done on this population. It is
relevant to social work because the results of this study will help social workers to better
understand that Narcotics Anonymous may be more effective for some adolescents, namely those
with many positive social supports as compared to those with few positive social supports.

Sir Edmund Hillary And Tenzing Norgay
How can humans impact the world around them? This may seem hard to answer, but people are
already impacting Mount Everest, and not in a positive way. People that choose to climb Mount
Everest are causing many problems. They drop off items all around the mountain, and even
compete with previous records. These can result with either a venue of pollution or even death. This
can change Mount Everest, by turning it from a place of enjoyment into a place of destruction.
To begin, people love to complete missions, but their drive to do so can result in death. The text

Rappaccini s Daughter And The Birthmark Short Story
In his short stories Rappaccini s Daughter and The Birthmark author Nathaniel Hawthorne explores
the limitations of humanity and the ability to achieve perfection. Humans are always striving to
advance and evolve, forever chasing after this idea of perfection. Part of humanity is always
wanting to do better, to have more. In Hawthorne s short stories, the two main characters are both
scientists who make an attempt at creating perfection. Hawthorne epitomizes the unattainable
pursuit of perfection sought after by humans and subsequently, the overeagerness of humans to
attempt to play god. In reality this desire to have complete perfection is an unattainable goal that
humans can only aspire to. In the pursuit of perfection, the greatest risk is to become too caught up
in perfection and to then lose the ethics and morality of humanity. The pursuit of perfection can
cause an obsession with perfection so that the pursuer becomes discontented with what they are
physically able to attain. In the short storyThe Birthmark scientist Aylmer imposes his pursuit of
perfection onto his fiancee when he attempts to remove a small birthmark from her otherwise
beautiful appearance. Aylmer is unable to be content with his wife and feels that he must remove
the birthmark in order for her to become beautiful. His displeasure with the birthmark increases
even further as he becomes more and more unsettled by the mark. Aylmer s wife Georgiana, who is
initially unperturbed by the mark, is

Marriages in Pride and Prejudice In the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, the author
begins the novel with a quote about marriage. It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a
single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife . (p.1) Austen alludes to the
fact that in 18th century England, once a man has become wealthy, it is the natural progression
for him to seek out a wife. Likewise, women were aware of the fact that men of high social
position would be in search of a wife, and they knew it was their responsibility to make such a man

(p. 79) Collins and Charlotte Lucas were not the only couple that gained economic stability by
marrying. George Wickham married Lydia Bennet so that all his debts would be wiped out
when Darcy agreed to pay them off if Wickham married Lydia. Wickham also would be paid a
hundred pounds a year by Lydia s father as a dowry payment. In addition, Darcy would pay
Wickham a thousand pounds for the marriage and would pay Wickham s commission, an
ensigncy in the Regulars. This definitely benefited Wickham by providing him with financial
security. One main difference between Charlotte and Collins marriage versus Lydia and Wickham
s is that Lydia was very physically attracted to Wickham and was extremely excited about getting
married. Wickham was drawn to Lydia s immature and fun personality, but married her mostly
because of his debts being paid by Darcy. Charlotte and Collins married because it was a sensible
decision, but they were not attracted to each other. Charlotte actually preferred it when Collins was

Several of the characters in Pride and Prejudice married for lust and beauty. Mr. Bennet captivated

this was confirmed when, in 2011, he received the Nobel Prize for Literature with the motivation,

Honor in Much Ado About Nothing Essay
Throughout the history of the world, honor has been an important part of life. In literature, as well,
honor plays an important role in many plots and the development of almost any character.
Shakespeare s play Much Ado About Nothing is no exception. In this comedy about love and
marriage, honor is revealed as the primary reason for many of the actions taken by several different
characters. When Claudiobreaksoff his wedding with Hero, he does it because he believes she is not
chastised as she claims to be and in being such, she would dishonor him as well as her father if
the marriage were to proceed as planned. The play is an accurate depiction of the honor codeand the

Her honor is disgraced for her actions and Claudio will no longer accept her as his wife because of
the dishonor she has caused him.
Shakespeare uses both Claudio and Leonato to represent the males of the time and the honor
code they were held to. Claudio is in no way held to the same pre marital expectations as Hero,
which, at the time, was the case for all men. For instance, when Hero is accused of being with a
man prior to her marriage, no one questions what man and, quite frankly, no one cares what man.
Shakespeare also shows how men are judged and given honor based on how their women act.
When Leonato learns of the accusations his daughter receives on her wedding day he scolds her
and says,
Wherefore? Why doth not every living thing
Cry shame upon he? Could she here deny
The story that is printed in her blood?
Do not live, Hero; do not open thine eyes...
Why had I not with charitable hand
Took up a beggar s issue at my gates,
Who smirched thus and mired with infamy,
I might have said, no part of it is mine;
This shame derives itself from unknown lions ? (IV, i)
This quote shows how a father at that time would wish to have no part of his daughter for
committing such acts because he knows of the dishonorable reputation he will receive as a result.
In the time of Shakespeare, men and women were held to different standards and honored and
dishonored for different reasons. Chastity is one of those reasons. For a

The Theme Of Light Vs Dark In Romeo And Juliet
Love plays a crucial part in people s lives. Not only is it the foundation of one s well being, but it
also affects those included in that circle. With this in mind, love can overpower negativity and
conflicts. However, if one is not able to persuade the importance of their devotion, they can become
consumed by darkness. In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, the author incorporates the motif of
light vs. dark to convey the theme that an individual s love surmounts any feelings of hatred.

The Journal Of Fairy Tales
This article by Christy Williams was published by Marvel and Tales, the journal of fairy tale
studies. This article emphasize how the idea of a wicked stepmother became a staple of popular
fairy tales traditions. The author uses different grimm s fairy tales such as, Cinderella, Snow
White, Hansel and Gretel, etc. To support her argument of the use and image of an evil
stepmother. She gave opinions of actually stepmothers and how they felt about this stereotypes.
Finally she emphasizes that postmodern fairy tales have made a change in the use of evil

sula feminism
Feminism and anti feminism in Sula: Right or wrong? Feminism has been in society for
decades. In some societies, we see how women are kept in their boundaries. In some countries
women have to cover their entire bodies in clothing to keep from dishonoring their families. In
most traditional societies a woman is to remain virginal to be considered worthy of marriage. In
America, women were constrained to the household and weren t allowed to work or vote. These
actions were and are considered by some, anti feminist. But, when is feminism taken to far? Has
the act of feminism become an excuse for women to act out because we have rights? Or is it ok to
do so to be considered liberated. Whenever a woman does something negative she is in... Show

Of course some acts of feminism are to be considered acts of heroism. But, are women today
getting the wrong message from what Sula is all about? Sula is not about sleeping around to
prove her worth, or saying what she pleases to be rude. Sula is about the independence in a
woman. Not being submissive to a man, but being your own person. Sula represents the rights
women should have to do as they please without being wild as some women take being a
feminist as today. Feminism in retrospect is about having the same rights as men. But, that does
not make the wrong things that men do ok for a woman to do as well. Whether done by a man or
a woman, some behavior is still not appropriate. Feminism used to be about equal rights for jobs
and voting and important matters. Now, women use feminism and equal rights to perform
behavior that is not ideal behavior for anyone with good morals. As a country that believes in
Christ should feminism even exist? Women who have the wrong idea of feminism give up their
dignity and pride to be considered free. Women have sex freely and men still look down on
them. Instead of being viewed as pure you are viewed as dirty. If anything, the act of feminism
has caused women to be even more degraded today. Women expose themselves in music videos
and pornography. Women are looked at as mere objects of pleasure. If we stuck to the biblical
meaning of a woman, women could

Essay On American Sign Language
I first learned American Sign Language through a TV show. It was one of the shows that were
trending lately, just like the current Stranger Things and Thirteen Reasons Why. I was a
bandwagoner so I would always watch all the shows that were talked about. Switched At Birth
educated me so much about ASL, deafness, and more. Because of this show, I have wanted to learn
sign language more than ever. More than just learning a language, I wanted to know what
experiences accompany a hearing person beginning to learning ASL but mostly how does a deaf
person feel throughout their day? American Sign Language, or more commonly known as ASL, was
founded more than 200 thousand years ago from different sign languages around the time. ASL,
as suggested by its name, is not a universal sign language. If you were to go to and any other
country, a person might be at a loss when the signs do not match up. Most people assume that
sign language comes from just the hands, but everyday speakers add facial expression and some
movement of their body. ASL requires a hearing person to do things very differently than how they
normally act. For instance, when signing to a deaf or hard of hearing a person, one needs to face...

like any other meeting. The club talked about elections, and we started the lesson about learning
how to sign signs for family and animals. At first, there were a lot of signs given to us, then the
teacher, Jai, slowly point to each individual person and randomly choose a word for the person to
sign from the whiteboard. After that, we got into groups of two in order to find more about our
partners only through signing. This was very interesting because at the end, Jai made all of us talk
about our partners through signing, which I thought was a very interesting and effective way to

Proteus mirabilis:
I.Introduction:
Proteus mirabilis is a Gram negative, dimorphic bacillus and a facultative anaerobe bacterium. It is
a motile member of the family Enterobacteriaceae. This bacteria colonies shows a unique
characteristic called swarming behavior. Swarming occurs when the flagellate rods grow into long
chain swarmer cells, the swarmers gather together forming rafts that swim together, growing into a
complex biofilm. P. mirabilis virulence factors include swarming motility and urease production.

Diseases:
Statistically, about 90% of the proteus infections are caused by proteus mirabilis. It is an
opportunist pathogen, which means it can cause diseases if it colonizes another place other than the
gastrointestinal tract.
P. mirabilis is commonly associated with urinary tract infections. The infection begins when the
organism moves from urethra to the urinary bladder. Urinary tract infections caused by P. mirabilis
are mostly found in patients under long term catherization. Other groups of patients that are at high
risks of the diseases include; those patients with structural abnormalities of the urinary tract, patients
with recurrent infections and patients whose infections were acquired in the hospital or long term
care facilities.
Proteus mirabilis infections accounts for 1% 2% of urinary tract infections in healthy women, 5%
of nosocomial urinary infections and catheterization has a high prevalence of 20% 45%. The
organism causes bladder infection and kidney infection. P. mirabilis produces large amounts of
urease which splits urea into carbon dioxide and ammonia. This process increases the alkalinity of
the urine and also it precipitates magnesium and calcium in the form of struvite and apatite crystals
respectively. The results is the formation of renal stones.

Separation Of Separation Anxiety Disorder
Separation anxiety Disorder
Have you ever been attached to something? Have you ever thought or felt that your life couldn t
continue without this object? Separation anxiety is very common, statistic show that at least thirty
three percent of the population has this disorder. This disorder is the fear of being separated from
something or someone. The subject with the disorder views separation as detrimental to their well
being. Caregivers, stuff animals, money, and cell phones are examples of objects people have
separation anxiety towards. Separation anxiety is very common in infants and children.

Children experience separation disorder in a more severe form than infant Children may develop
physical complications when separated. Children sometimes get an upset stomach, nausea, or
vomiting. Symptoms include hyperventilating headaches and diarrhea. Behavioral symptoms that a
child might exhibit when they have anxiety include hesitancy or refusal to separate from the
caregiver. The children may start begging, whining, and crying. Having tantrums if confronted
with separation is normal. They may refuse to go to school or even refuse to sleep alone. Teen s
experience separation anxiety quite frequently. when separated from their cell phone, or friends.
Signs of separation disorder included the constant worry of where the phone is located. They worry
about battery life. Adults become paranoid and expect the worst. They begin to hyperventilate some
get headaches and become very anxious.
Symptoms of separation anxiety disorder are prolonged fear and anxiety when a person or object is
separated from the patient. They unrealistically worry about the safety of a loved one. The fear is
so intense that it activates the sympathetic nervous system. By activating the sympathetic nervous
system the body automatically mobilizes to get back what has been lost. For example, a mother is
shopping in the store with her toddler. The child stumbles off without the mother knowing, as soon
the mother notices her child missing she darts off looking for him. During this period of time

Positive And Negative Effects Of Being A Twin
The Effects of Being An Identical Twin
When people see a pair of twins they are many questions that they ask at first, and they start to
check how good the similarities are between each other. Twins are always thought of something
special and magical, now don t get me wrong it is special because of the bond and relationship that
they create between each other. Even though just like any other thing it has its pros and cons.
The effects of being a twin is determined by more than a few factors, individuality, physically,
comparison, competition, Physiological and emotional. From the moment twins are born, they are
inseparable. They live together, have the same gender and even look the same, however the effects
of being identical twin has a long run effect on their future of social relationships, allowing them to
have a hard time finding themselves as individuals. One of the effects twins must deal with as their
growing up is individualism, just because their twins and were born on the same day and share
same physical, and similarities. People tend to forget that their two different people and they both
often get treated as one person. They both are two different human beings with separate goals,
mindsets and different personality. The effect that causes the same treatment to both can have a
negatively impact on them by having an impact in their self image and the ability to develop a
strong self identity. One thing that is important is that most of the twins have a strong

Mary Musgrove s Role In Native American History
The diverse recognitions and accomplishments of many famous historical Native American
women has created them to be viewed as heroic figures, ultimately causing them to influence and
improve Native American history. Mary Musgrove was born in 1700 in Georgia, and was a
member of the Cherokee. She was a colonial American translator and negotiator for English and
Yamacraw ancestry. She facilitated in the development of Colonial Georgia and became an
important negotiator between the Muscogee Creek Indians and the English colonists. These two
distinct societies caused Musgrove to bridge the gap between them, ultimately causing her to

Dreams From My Father Analysis
The keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, was presented by the Illinois
State Senator, United States senatorial candidate, and future President Barack Obama on Tuesday,

about a presidential future, and led to the reissue of his memoir, Dreams from My Father. His
keynote address grew popular which then further elevated his status within the Democratic Party
and led to his reissued memoir becoming an all time bestseller. America has the inherent potential to

The Business Case For The Public Cloud
Enterprises around the world would be wise to heed 50 Cent s mantra Get Rich or Die Tryin when
considering the implications of not getting to the public cloud. We at Cocolevio, an implementation
partner of Mooor Insights Strategy, estimate that over 50% of IT spend will be going to public
cloud vendors such as Amazon Web Servicesor SaaS vendors like Salesforce.com Inc. by 2019.
This means there is around a $140B opportunity in this space. The cost savings, reduction in
capital spending, speed to market, flexibility and global access derived from public cloud mean
those enterprises that effectively use the public cloud are better positioned to Get Rich than their
competitors who have higher cost structures and less nimble IT platforms. This trend is only set to
continue as the business case for moving to public cloud only becomes more compelling, with the
traditional arguments against public cloud around security and lack of control diminishing.
Vendor lock in will continue to be a concern but we see many companies willing to sacrifice a bit
of lock in for the many, many benefits of public cloud.
With this in mind, it is prudent for any CIO to have a migration strategy to the public cloud. It is
now generally accepted that at least some workload and functions of an organization will need to be
moved in order to be competitive. Recently, the poster child for Amazon Inc., Netflix Inc.

The Debate Over Race And Intelligence
The debate over race and intelligence had been fueled in 1994 when Charles A. Murray and
Richard Hernstein published a book called, The Bell Curve. The Bell Curve was an analysis on the
curve between race and intelligence. Due to the book being published, scientists began working on
multiple tests to try to understand the correlation that was indicated in this book. This is such an
emotional topic to argue about because society could stereotype themselves based on a definitive
answer about race and intelligence. A white child could earn a 90 on a test, above the score that of
a black child has earned, but then an Asian child could outdo both of them. That is where the
correlation can present itself. Due to that example, race and... Show more content on

His findings have concluded that environmental factors explains 58 percent of IQ variations

would be more apparent. An American clinical psychologist Terrie Moffitt, said that negative
environments (low social status or ineffective parenting) could affect a child s intelligence even
more (Parker/Morton 1). There is a way to make a child smarter and that starts from an upbringing
environment that is positive (Hurley). While bringing in the genetics of an individual based on
their skin color, there are also different environmental factors that can contribute to the correlation
between race and intelligence. The American Psychological Association studies have shown that
environmental factors can contribute to an individual s intelligence factor. Different revolution
factors, natural selection factors, and environmental differences have an impact (Saletan 4). For
example, a black kid living in a run down neighborhood may do worse than a white kid living in
a rich neighborhood. Due to this, most children feed off of their peers, either at school or even at

The Social And Multicultural Differences Of The Movie ...
Crash has many kinds of social and multicultural differences. The movie shows us how they affect
our society. The two major behaviors observed are Prejudice and Stereotyping. These are
identified as the causes of the events in the movie. The three main topics of this essay are, what do
they say about the people who subscribe to them?, what are stereotypes?, and how have stereotypes
affected your life (either by placing them on others or having them placed on you)? These all
play a major role in the movie. What do they say about the people who subscribe them? In my
opinion, stereotyping is just people assuming things about other people that they do not even
know. Its like saying, one has never met an Arab or a Muslim before and one says that, All Arabs
and Muslims are terrorists . People say All children hate healthy food , which is not true at all.
Healthy green foods are what I loved to eat when I was younger. I eat them every day and still
enjoy them, and I always will. People also say that Blondes are unintelligent which is not true, I
know some very intelligent blondes. They are just assuming that all blonds are dumb. In my
opinion stereotyping is a bad habit to start. Stereotyping people can hurt them very badly. I ve seen
some people cry when others stereotypethem. Stereotyping isn t nice, but apparently to some
people it is. Stereotyping could be considered a form of bullying and one can get in a lot of trouble
when one bully nowadays. There has been people

My Aphorism
My aphorism is hold tight to your roots but be open to the future. This is aphorism really relates
to me and what I believe in. It shows the importance of knowing who you are but also being open
to new things to come in the future. Holding tight to your roots means remembering where you
came from and what standards and ideals are important to you. In my aphorism when I say be
open to the future it means being open to new ways of thinking and change later on in your life.
My aphorism means remembering who you are but not letting that hold you back in the future.
My aphorism is important because it tells you to remember who you are, where you came from,
and to remember the ideals and standards that you have. Also, be open to other ideas or things
happening in your life in the future. To me my aphorism means holding on to my ideals and
standards and knowing where I came from. Even later on in life towards the future I will always
remember who I am but be open to new things that are to come. My aphorism shapes and effects
my decisions because when I make my decisions I remember who I am and my standards. I also
know to be open to new things in life and new ways of thinking. The aphorism I have chosen has
helped me to not be so stubborn. It has also helped me to be more open to change. My aphorism
can help an individual because anyone can relate to it. Everyone has roots. Most people have a
specific set of standards that they try to live by. My aphorism can also help by showing people
what they already know but then expounding on that ideain the future. The good that people can
find in my aphorism is the fact that it can relate to anybody s life. In my aphorism it talks about
remembering who you are and where you came from but still being open to new things life. The
good that it shows is remembering who you are but being open to the future to come. The effect
of ignoring my aphorism is not being able to be open to new ideas and ways of thinking in the
future. Not being able to remember your roots and where you came from. You lose your identity
and who you really truly are. Society would benefit from living by my aphorism because it would

The Movie Donnie Darko By Richard Kelly
Donnie Darko follows a mentally troubled teenage boy after his family survives a jet engine falling
on their home. Throughout the film, a delusional Donnie encounters a talking rabbit and eventually
discovers that he has been living in a parallel universe since his near death experience. To escape
this alternate timeline and save his mother and sister who are on the ill fated plane, Donnie realizes
that he must be killed by the engine and allows himself to die in the accident. The film has strong
themes of time travel and the future, much like Lee Edelman s The Future is Kid Stuff. Through
his idea of reproductive futurism, Edelman hypothesizes that the Child is the future and states that
everything we do has the ultimate goal of protecting the future. Edelman also believes that queers
will not survive in the future because they are unable to reproduce. The film Donnie Darko, directed
by Richard Kelly, challenges society s unrealistic expectations of a perfect nuclear familyby
juxtaposing a queer Donnie with his heteronormative sister Samantha. When considered in the
context of Lee Edelman s The Future is Kid Stuff, this stark contrast confirms the theory of
reproductive futurism and explains the ending of the movie in which Donnie sacrifices his life so
that his sister can survive.
By exposing the flaws in the seemingly perfect Darko family, the film challenges its viewers idea
of what a perfect nuclear family is while creating a substantial difference between the future

The Arab nations were trying to eliminate Israel and take away the shame they felt after they
were defeated a few years earlier when they fought Israel. The countries against Israel united
together and planned out the war thinking it would be a piece of cake. Moreover, Israel fended

The countries that fought Israel used a billion dollars worth of supplies during the war, causing

The Effects Of Immune System On The Body
Immunity
MersihaFrlj
Herzing University, Minneapolis MN
The purpose of the immune system is to prevent and minimize infections; this is how the body
protects us from microbes that would otherwise make us ill or kill us (Dugdale, 2013). The immune
system works by differentiating between our own cells (self antigens), foreign cells (antigens), and
pathogenic microbes (Dugdale, 2013). When our cells discover anything unfamiliar, our immune
system works to destroy it(Dug dale, 2013). If the immune system cannot activate to kill foreign
cells, we can get infections (Dugdale, 2013). Conversely, if it is activated without any foreign cells
present it can cause pathopysiological problems (Dugdale,2013). This paper will focus on the ...

the lesion can become inflamed and erythematic (Hunt, 2014).
Immunodeficiency and Affect on the Body WHO recognizes more than 220 immunodeficiency
diseases (Specific Disease Type, 2015). These diseases are also chronic and happen when part of
the immune system is defective, missing, or not functioning the way it should ( Specific Disease
Type, 2015). These type of disease can be an antibody deficiency, a cellular immunodeficiency, or
an innate immune disorder (Specific Disease Type, 2013). One innate immune disorder is HIV
(Pagana, 2015). This is a type of retrovirus that contains a protein and depresses the immune system
(Pagana, 2015). Antibody deficiencies affect the upper respiratory, sinuses, or lungs (Specific
Disease Type, 2013).Finally, cellular immunodeficiency can cause viral, fungal, and bacterial
infections in humans (Specific Disease Type, 2013).

Afghanistan
Current Problem:
The current problem that is occurring in Afghanistan is the fact that American soldiers are over at
Afghanistan right now. After the 9/11 attack, President George W. Bush puts together a plan to
attack Afghanistan. America sends over a warning, to either turn over Osama bin Laden, the man in
charge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, or we ll bomb you. After Afghanistan refused to turn him over,
due to lack of evidence that he was in charge of the 9/11 attacks, America, with the help of it s
allies, countries like the United Kingdom and the Northern Alliance, bombed Afghanistan. Through
all of this madness, Osama bin Laden escaped. After all the stuff that just happened in Afghanistan,
President George W. Bush called for America to reconstruct Afghanistan . This would include
going over there, building a new government, and helping the people of Afghanistan to live a
nonviolent life. After a decade of America being in Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden being killed,
and two new presidents in Afghanistan, we are left with a big problem, American soldiers are still
in Afghanistan, and we have no idea when they will be able to come back. We can not just take
some helicopters, fly over to Afghanistan, pick up our troops, and fly back to America. The reason
why we can t is because Afghanistan s government is too unstable. Another problem with American
troops being stuck in Afghanistan are that the Taliban

Essay On Sekou Sundiata
Many times I have struggled to express myself. A plethora of ideas would be trapped inside my
head. Sometimes I would be at a loss of words and couldn t explain my thoughts verbally or on
paper. No matter how much effort I put in, my words wandered off and I could find no method of
portraying my emotions. After many failed attempts, I finally found something that could express
what I feel and what I want others to feel. It s music. Performance poet, Sekou Sundiata, is able to
clearly express himself in a way where others can understand him by incorporating poetry with
music. Both Sundiata and I were searching for a way to share our life experiences in a creative yet
understandable format; we accomplished that through music. In the film... Show more content on

When Sundiata changes his tone of voice, sometimes it s too low that you cannot hear him or it
s too high which hinders ones hearing. Also, the way he uses the microphone disrupts the
cleanliness of his voice. If the microphone is too close to his mouth it may sound scratchy. If it s
is too far away then it s difficult to hear him. Lastly, Sundiata changes the speed of his voice
frequently. For example, in Sundiata s poem Space from The Circle Unbroken is a Hard Bop, he
is speaking extremely fast and it s hard to catch his words. As a result, the audience is unable to
comprehend his words, which lead to failure of drawing a connection to his poems. These magic
tricks seem superfluous and revoke his audience from understanding his words. Although this
supports the idea that Sekou Sundiata is not able to clearly connect with his audience, there are
more ways he does connect with them. Sundiata s magic tricks help him connect with the viewers
because they draw attention. He also connects really well with his audience by reflecting on his
past. Sundiata talks about human rights and black freedom which relates and interests many
people. Lastly, he reflects on his childhood in Harlem which many people who grew up at that time
and place could relate to as well. Sundiata clearly displays an ardent connection with his audience
through his

How Did Julius Caesar Fall
Gaius Julius Caesar, was born in 100 BC, he was the son of a upper class family. His father s

central and northern Gaul as far as the Rhine. When he got to the Rhine river, he built a bridge in
ten days, which he used to cross the river. In 55 and 54 he conducted two investigations of Britain.
When this was happening, the threesome began to fall because of resentfulness. When Julia died.
The two began to hate each other. They were also mad because Crassus disappeared. He was killed

he fled to Egypt and was killed by the government of the young king, Ptolemy XIII. Caesar

Robert P. George Bases Essay
Robert P. George bases his beliefs on that human beings are created within stages and that an
embryo is the earliest stage a genetic human can reside in. He claims that since an embryo contains
the same genetic constitution and characteristics of a human being, therefore an embryo is human
and would not be lawful to eliminate or kill. Though an embryois on an immature phase of
development, it does not mean that there is no genetic relation to humans; From conception
onward, the humanembryo is fully programmed, and has the active disposition, to develop
himself or herself to the next mature stage of a human being (Acorns). George believes that
since the child is acting on its own interest to survive and maintain itself, then it is a complete or
whole organism and should not be killed. According to George, couple A, B and C s actions
were acceptable because they did not prevent the life of an embryo and did not terminate
anything that resembled unique and fortified human DNA. With couple A, the choice of
abstinence does not create a chance for an embryo to be aborted. Couple B uses contraception to
prevent fertilization which again does not create a chance for the embryo to be aborted. Now
couple C had sexual intercourse but since the women used the morning after pill , there was no
fertilization and an embryo was not implanted in her uterus. These actions according to George are
acceptable because no embryos were disrupted or harmed, only prevented from creating.

understand the problems the patient is facing. Both jobs need to be able to relate to the patient on

association, also known as the American Women s Physical Therapeutic Association, was started

Association. The number of physical therapist grew in demand once World War II and Poli came
into action. As the demand for physical therapist increased, the education grew across America as
it went from 16 programs to 39 according to APTA. The name of the program changed again in
1940 to what it is now called, the American Physical Therapy Association. The association today is
focusing on improving education, practice and research that can be used to improve the daily lives
of the elderly, adults, and children according to APTA.

  • 2. Wedding Speech I skipped through the gardens, my large eyes darting back and forth at all the new things I had never seen before. It was a big move, from a constant summer state to one with all seasons. There were different plants and animals and I intended to find them all. I lift up my skirt, making sure the hem doesn t become dirty. Mother would be terribly angry if I came back dirty, considering my engagement party was in an hour. One hour to explore like a silly child, my mother said harshly, I ll ring a bell, then you must return, and become a full women. If that dress is dirty when you return I ll be chopping off heads! There was a baby white rabbit jumping around my feet. I slowly kneel and stick out my hand, and it comes right up to me. Hmm you seem to trust easily, I whisper to it, Shall I keep you? Mother did promise any gift I liked for going along with this engagement. It stares at me with its dark red eyes, like it was waiting. I hear a faint ticking noise in my ears from the silence. It was almost winter, so all the birds were gone. All right, I sigh, You won me over. I shall name you Tick Tock. What gender are you even? Tick Tock seemed pleased with the name, but tried to escape when I lifted higher to check the gender. Tick Tock was a boy. I take the ribbon I had tying my brown hair back and tie it lightly around his neck. There, I say, Much more presentable for an engagement party, don t you think? I hold him close to my chest as I head back to the manor. Luckily Tick Tock wasn t too dirty so it didn t get all over my dress. I go inside and maids surround me curious, all awing over the bunny. I send some off to prepare an area for him in my room and some food. One maid tells me my mother called for me, and I go off with Tick Tock to see her in her study. I open the door, Mother, you called for me? I only see her back, she was dramatically looking out the window. Yes, she says coldly, You re back early and I wanted to see if you re dirty. It involves gathering different resources with using a scientific approach of management to build all types of projects, starting from infrastructure facilities and buildings, to IT projects, or even to prepare and manage special events. As far as special events are concerned, Music Festivals usually require precise planning and organising for many reasons. The huge number of guests associated with such events, and the different types of resources needed to complete the project are all crucial elements, and will make planning for the Music Festival such a challenging task for the project manager, especially if it lasts for few days. The lack of accommodation, the hilly nature of the ground, and unexpected changes in weather are all problems facing the project manager that need to be addressed appropriately. The Common Law During the conquest in 1066, William applied old legal customs in generalizing to the entire kingdom. • 7. The Cost Of Late Term Abortion Late Term Abortion By Kelsey Holm The Cost of Late Term Abortion We have seen a monumental amount of political and social activism coming from Pro life and Pro choice proponents in the 25 years following the Supreme Court s landmark decision in Roe v. Wade. Far from settling the issue of a woman s constitutional right to an abortion, the Roe decision galvanized pro life and prochoice groups and precipitated many small battles in what many on both sides view to be a war between fetal protection and women s access to reproductive choice (Oliveri, 1998). Now, the choice to abort a child in what is now being deemed as late term abortion is something that activists and political leaders are wanting. This argument goes beyond the political level and is now at the judicial level. This argument has even gone into the main streets of our society with each side gaining and losing ground. More recently, we have a presidential candidate who sides with Pro choice and late term abortion. Pro life activists staged peaceful, nation wide campaign of clinic protests to oppose this cause. The protests had to be peaceful because of violent conflicts that occurred in the past which led Congress in 1994 to enactment of the Federal Access to Clinic Entrances law (Oliveri, 1998). This law created specific civil and criminal penalties for violence outside of abortion clinics (Oliveri, 1998). State legislatures imposed limitations on the right to abortion, including ... • 9. Crime And The Quality Of Life Introduction For better or worse, there is a link between crime and society. Society is strongly affected by crime due to the cost and the decline in the quality of life that citizens face as a result of criminal activity. Since there is a relationship associated with crime and the quality of life, then reducing crime is one of the top priorities of a police department. However, reducing crime is a major challenge for any police department around the world. Staffing shortages are one of the biggest challenges facing police departments while attempting to reduce crime. Many agencies across the United States are having trouble recruiting new police officers and keeping experienced, seasoned officers on the police force. Staffing shortages are due to low pay, a cut in benefits, and the national anti police sentiment being broadcasted across many news organizations daily. The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in 2015 publicly released that there was an average of 2.3 officers per 1,000 inhabitants within cities that had more than 10,000 residents (The Federal Bureau of Investigation s 2015). An average of 2.3 officers per 1,000 residents is not enough to deter or prevent crime. In a preliminary report for 2015 crime stats, the FBI noted, there is an overall increase in violent crimes. Based on data provided by 12,879 law enforcement agencies throughout the United States, murders have increased 6.2 percent and aggravated assaults have increased 2.3 percent since ... Complementarity In Wesley s Song, Wouldn T Change A Thing Complementarity is defined as the popularly supposed tendency, in a relationship between two people, for each to complete what is missing in the other. This explains the phenomenon of opposites attract; people tend to be attracted to those that are different in personality than them because their differences are complementary. The song, Wouldn t Change A Thing, by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas, represents the idea of opposites being attracted to each other, but yet, they are complementary. The chorus states, Like fire and rain, you can drive me insane, but I can t stay mad at you for anything. We re Venus and Mars. Trevor Wesley s song, Chivalry Is Dead, describes that act of a man being a gentleman towards a woman. So I must open doors and make you feel like the lady you are. My momma raised me to be classy, not flashy. I m happy to please you, though I can tell that s not what you re used to and they say chivalry is dead, says Wesley. The message that the song is trying to get across is that today, many women view acts of kindness as foreign and strange because unfortunately, it is common for women to be disrespected more than ever; this explains the idea that chivalry is dead. However, Wesley says that chivalry still exists; women should be treated with respect and although he acts like a gentleman, that does not mean he will take advantage of ... • 14. Rappaccini s Daughter And The Birthmark Short Story In his short stories Rappaccini s Daughter and The Birthmark author Nathaniel Hawthorne explores the limitations of humanity and the ability to achieve perfection. Humans are always striving to advance and evolve, forever chasing after this idea of perfection. Part of humanity is always wanting to do better, to have more. In Hawthorne s short stories, the two main characters are both scientists who make an attempt at creating perfection. Hawthorne epitomizes the unattainable pursuit of perfection sought after by humans and subsequently, the overeagerness of humans to attempt to play god. In reality this desire to have complete perfection is an unattainable goal that humans can only aspire to. In the pursuit of perfection, the greatest risk is to become too caught up in perfection and to then lose the ethics and morality of humanity. The pursuit of perfection can cause an obsession with perfection so that the pursuer becomes discontented with what they are physically able to attain. In the short storyThe Birthmark scientist Aylmer imposes his pursuit of perfection onto his fiancee when he attempts to remove a small birthmark from her otherwise beautiful appearance. Aylmer is unable to be content with his wife and feels that he must remove the birthmark in order for her to become beautiful. His displeasure with the birthmark increases even further as he becomes more and more unsettled by the mark. Aylmer s wife Georgiana, who is initially unperturbed by the mark, is ... (p.1) Austen alludes to the fact that in 18th century England, once a man has become wealthy, it is the natural progression for him to seek out a wife. In addition, Darcy would pay Wickham a thousand pounds for the marriage and would pay Wickham s commission, an ensigncy in the Regulars. This definitely benefited Wickham by providing him with financial security. One main difference between Charlotte and Collins marriage versus Lydia and Wickham s is that Lydia was very physically attracted to Wickham and was extremely excited about getting married. Wickham was drawn to Lydia s immature and fun personality, but married her mostly because of his debts being paid by Darcy. Charlotte and Collins married because it was a sensible decision, but they were not attracted to each other. Charlotte actually preferred it when Collins was away. In literature, as well, honor plays an important role in many plots and the development of almost any character. Shakespeare s play Much Ado About Nothing is no exception. In this comedy about love and marriage, honor is revealed as the primary reason for many of the actions taken by several different characters. When Claudiobreaksoff his wedding with Hero, he does it because he believes she is not chastised as she claims to be and in being such, she would dishonor him as well as her father if the marriage were to proceed as planned. Her honor is disgraced for her actions and Claudio will no longer accept her as his wife because of the dishonor she has caused him. Shakespeare uses both Claudio and Leonato to represent the males of the time and the honor code they were held to. Claudio is in no way held to the same pre marital expectations as Hero, which, at the time, was the case for all men. For instance, when Hero is accused of being with a man prior to her marriage, no one questions what man and, quite frankly, no one cares what man. Shakespeare also shows how men are judged and given honor based on how their women act. When Leonato learns of the accusations his daughter receives on her wedding day he scolds her and says, Wherefore? Why doth not every living thing Cry shame upon he? Could she here deny The story that is printed in her blood? Do not live, Hero; do not open thine eyes... Why had I not with charitable hand Took up a beggar s issue at my gates, Who smirched thus and mired with infamy, I might have said, no part of it is mine; This shame derives itself from unknown lions ? In some countries women have to cover their entire bodies in clothing to keep from dishonoring their families. Sula is not about sleeping around to prove her worth, or saying what she pleases to be rude. Sula is about the independence in a woman. Not being submissive to a man, but being your own person. Sula represents the rights women should have to do as they please without being wild as some women take being a feminist as today. Feminism in retrospect is about having the same rights as men. But, that does not make the wrong things that men do ok for a woman to do as well. Whether done by a man or a woman, some behavior is still not appropriate. Feminism used to be about equal rights for jobs and voting and important matters. Now, women use feminism and equal rights to perform behavior that is not ideal behavior for anyone with good morals. As a country that believes in Christ should feminism even exist? Women who have the wrong idea of feminism give up their dignity and pride to be considered free. Women have sex freely and men still look down on them. Instead of being viewed as pure you are viewed as dirty. If anything, the act of feminism has caused women to be even more degraded today. ASL, as suggested by its name, is not a universal sign language. If you were to go to and any other country, a person might be at a loss when the signs do not match up. These all play a major role in the movie. What do they say about the people who subscribe them? The Effects Of Immune System On The Body Immunity MersihaFrlj Herzing University, Minneapolis MN The purpose of the immune system is to prevent and minimize infections; this is how the body protects us from microbes that would otherwise make us ill or kill us (Dugdale, 2013). The immune system works by differentiating between our own cells (self antigens), foreign cells (antigens), and pathogenic microbes (Dugdale, 2013). When our cells discover anything unfamiliar, our immune system works to destroy it(Dug dale, 2013). If the immune system cannot activate to kill foreign cells, we can get infections (Dugdale, 2013). Conversely, if it is activated without any foreign cells present it can cause pathopysiological problems (Dugdale,2013). This paper will focus on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 43. President George W. Bush s Afghanistan Derek Howard Ryan Wagner Noah Egli Jack O Connor Afghanistan Current Problem: The current problem that is occurring in Afghanistan is the fact that American soldiers are over at Afghanistan right now. After the 9/11 attack, President George W. Bush puts together a plan to attack Afghanistan. America sends over a warning, to either turn over Osama bin Laden, the man in charge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, or we ll bomb you. After Afghanistan refused to turn him over, due to lack of evidence that he was in charge of the 9/11 attacks, America, with the help of it s allies, countries like the United Kingdom and the Northern Alliance, bombed Afghanistan. Through all of this madness, Osama bin Laden escaped. After all the stuff that just happened in Afghanistan, President George W. Bush called for America to reconstruct Afghanistan . This would include going over there, building a new government, and helping the people of Afghanistan to live a nonviolent life. After a decade of America being in Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden being killed, and two new presidents in Afghanistan, we are left with a big problem, American soldiers are still in Afghanistan, and we have no idea when they will be able to come back. We can not just take some helicopters, fly over to Afghanistan, pick up our troops, and fly back to America. The reason why we can t is because Afghanistan s government is too unstable. Another problem with American troops being stuck in Afghanistan are that the Taliban ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sometimes I would be at a loss of words and couldn t explain my thoughts verbally or on paper. No matter how much effort I put in, my words wandered off and I could find no method of portraying my emotions. After many failed attempts, I finally found something that could express what I feel and what I want others to feel. It s music. Performance poet, Sekou Sundiata, is able to clearly express himself in a way where others can understand him by incorporating poetry with music. Lastly, Sundiata changes the speed of his voice frequently. For example, in Sundiata s poem Space from The Circle Unbroken is a Hard Bop, he is speaking extremely fast and it s hard to catch his words. As a result, the audience is unable to comprehend his words, which lead to failure of drawing a connection to his poems. These magic tricks seem superfluous and revoke his audience from understanding his words. Although this supports the idea that Sekou Sundiata is not able to clearly connect with his audience, there are more ways he does connect with them. Sundiata s magic tricks help him connect with the viewers because they draw attention. He also connects really well with his audience by reflecting on his past. Sundiata talks about human rights and black freedom which relates and interests many people. Lastly, he reflects on his childhood in Harlem which many people who grew up at that time and place could relate to as well. • 50. Robert P. George Bases Essay Robert P. George bases his beliefs on that human beings are created within stages and that an embryo is the earliest stage a genetic human can reside in. He claims that since an embryo contains the same genetic constitution and characteristics of a human being, therefore an embryo is human and would not be lawful to eliminate or kill. Though an embryois on an immature phase of development, it does not mean that there is no genetic relation to humans; From conception onward, the humanembryo is fully programmed, and has the active disposition, to develop himself or herself to the next mature stage of a human being (Acorns). George believes that since the child is acting on its own interest to survive and maintain itself, then it is a complete or whole organism and should not be killed. According to George, couple A, B and C s actions were acceptable because they did not prevent the life of an embryo and did not terminate anything that resembled unique and fortified human DNA. With couple A, the choice of abstinence does not create a chance for an embryo to be aborted. Couple B uses contraception to prevent fertilization which again does not create a chance for the embryo to be aborted. Now couple C had sexual intercourse but since the women used the morning after pill , there was no fertilization and an embryo was not implanted in her uterus. These actions according to George are acceptable because no embryos were disrupted or harmed, only prevented from creating. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
