In view of limitations of cognitive behavioral therapy, the therapist can use Solution Focus Brief
Therapy with their clients which is not a collection of techniques but rather view a philosophy life
approach. (Theory and Practice of counseling and Psychotherapy, 2013). It is a way of thinking about
how people change and achieve their goals and constructing solutions with clients interactively with
main focus of problem solving and solution building. The therapist assists the client to visualize a
more satisfying future without their addictive problem, creating awareness of personal strengths and
resources. The main strength here is the therapist focus of viewing the clients as the expert instead of

Religion Traditions Religious traditions play a huge role with humans and their beliefs of who controls
the world. Religion is believed to have many different meanings to different people. The definition of
religion varies but the common definition is people in an organization that to worship together and
have the same beliefs. It is also viewed a system of belief that worships a God or gods, prayer, and
moral code. In this paper, you will read explanation of how religious traditions describe and encourage

Christians use churches as their sacred place to worship God, the Creator. Worship day is mostly on
Sundays. Other religions like Buddhism, believe their sacred place to be eternal, which means there is
no beginning or end. Buddhists uses temples to worship. The Buddhist temples were created to
symbolize the five elements of Buddhism. The elements are air, water, fire, earth, and wisdom. The
sacred space or place defines peace within a religion (Molloy, 2010).
A relationship with each other is the male and female roles of religion. The gender is used to define a
person and is a critical part of being human. What is considered to be male or female gives another
basis for comparing religions. The dominate role of many religions are considered to be a male
imagery.
The key characteristics of religion are made up of eight elements. The belief system is a worldview of
several beliefs. The community is a shared belief system where ideals are praised in a group setting.
Central myths are stories retold or reenacted through religious beliefs. Rituals are beliefs that are
enacted and made real through ceremonies. Ethics are rules and social guidelines of human behavior
from supernatural realm. Characteristic emotional experiences are emotions of guilt, mystery, awe,
conversion, devotion and rebirth, that deal with religion. Material expression is

Atherosclerosis Case Study
Two experimental systems will be used to determine if Mad1 overexpression promotes
atherosclerosis. Both sets of experiments are routinely performed in the laboratory of Dr. Lian Wang
Guo and will be performed in collaboration with him. First, a mechanical injury model will be used to
determine if elevated levels of Mad1 promote intimal hyperplasia. To generate the mechanical injury,
mice will be anesthetized and undergo bilateral endoluminal injury to the femoral artery by passing a
0.25 mm diameter angioplasty guidewire 3 times 56. 1 and 3 days post injury, protein expression will
be determined by immunoblot. HA and Mad1 antibodies will be used to measure expression and
localization of endogenous and inducible Mad1. PCNA will be used as a marker of VSMC

Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Pachelbel, And Handel
There are three big periods of music. Theses periods are Baroque, Classical, and Romantic. In these
periods there where several different composers who helped shape that period. Here are but a few in
each of the period. In the Baroque period some composers are Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Pachelbel, and
Handel. There of course are many more as these are just four composers. First, Vivaldi his full name is
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi. Vivaldi was born in 1678 and grew to be an Italian violinist and a composer.
He was born with angina pectoris or chest pain due heart disease of his heart not gaining enough
oxygen, he was also born with asthma. Due to these conditions he was known for running out of
church, but he was also known to run out due to a composition idea he would have. Once Vivaldi
started to work he worked in a place called Ospedal Della Pieta where he would teach women to play
the violin. This place would later be known as an orphanage since noble men would drop off the
female children that they would have with their mistresses and leave them there. The fathers of these
girls helped pay the orphanage as hush money to keep the knowledge silent. Vivaldi was known to
work here for several years on and off before he died in 1741 at the age of sixty three years old. Now
another composer was Pachelbel. He was a German composer fully named Johann Christoph
Pachelbel. His exact birthday is unknown, but he was born in the year 1653. Pachelbel wrote mainly

What Is The Collaborative Study On The Genetics Of...
Beirut et al. (2010) and Kalsi et al. (2008) focus on genes that are correlated to alcohol dependency or
AD. The disease can be described as the constant need to consume alcohol. Although not as discussed,
genetic variants play a role in individuals developing alcoholism. Through a genome wide association
study, these articles were able to identify and interpret some variants that relate to this disease.
The article by Bierut et al. (2010) is a discovery science article, in which there are no hypotheses
tested. This article focuses on alcohol dependence and the genetic influences that contribute. Various
case subjects were used to analyze the results from, the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of
Alcoholism (COGA). In this genome wide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They know that despite displaying a minimal correlation, there is a possibility for various genes to
contribute to alcoholism.
The Kalsi et al. (2008) article is a review article, therefore, lacking a hypothesis. The main idea was to
identify various genes that are related to alcoholism and how they affect the brain. The first variant
studied was DRD2, a dopamine receptor gene (Kalsi et al., 2008). This gene is known for being
related to addiction and pleasures in life. It is not shocking to know that this gene is elevated in the
nervous system, because alcohol raises the dopamine receptors and causes drinkers to feel as if they
need more, thus increasing their happiness. Another gene discussed is the GABAA gene, a component
of the GABRA2 gene. This component when found in AD, spikes an increase in tolerance level, thus
creating an effect in the brain to encourage the individual to continue drinking. Once the tolerance
levels have spiked, GABAA and another receptor gene, NPY will induce withdrawal behavior. These
variants, if found at low levels, play a vital role in the onset of alcoholism. While understanding that
the NPY gene may be found in the individuals, the CREB signaling pathway must also be discussed.
They observed a study on rodents to drive a correlation between deficient genes and their correlation
to humans. They observed this by analyzing the

Election Day After President Of The United States
Election Day is when Americans everywhere get to cast their vote for the next President of the United
States. However, Americans don t directly vote for President. So, what s happening on Election Day
then? It is a bit complicated due to a system involving something called the Electoral College.
The Electoral College is the collection of 538 votes that determine who will be the next President of
the United States of America. The number 538 comes from the number of Representatives, 438, plus
the number Senators, 100, all of which make up Congress. These votes, however, are not given
directly to the citizens; they are divvied up amongst the states. Every state, no matter how populous,
receives a minimum of three votes in the Electoral College. The remaining votes are then given out in
proportion to the states population (Walenta, 2010).
On Election Day, when citizens go to vote, they are not actually voting for who they want to be the
next President. They are actually only deciding who the electors will be and telling them how they
want them to vote ( Electoralvote.com ). If a candidate wins the majority of the votes in a state, no
matter how minor, he will obtain all of that state s votes. For example, Florida has 29 votes in the
Electoral College, if one candidate were to receive just 51% of Florida s vote, he would receive all of
the 29 votes, even when 49% of the state did not vote for him.
There are many controversial topics regards the Electoral College and how it

Analysis Of The Movie Wim Wenders Places A Digital...
Wim Wenders places a digital camera everywhere and creates cinema! , I exclaimed after a
retrospective of his films at FTII in Pune. A disastrous strive in one of my practices to emulate the
grasp made me realize the way it takes meticulous planning and the satisfactory information of the
cinematic language for two hours to look so casual and natural. One cannot simply place the camera
and shoot. And this, to my thoughts, is what ails maximum of our movies today. Mise en Scene is the
protoplasm of cinema. Any movie infused with cinema, classical or present day can have its auteur
delineating its Mise en Scene. An auteur publicizes his Mise en Scene. In its absence, a movie extra
often than not is bereft of actual cinema. For the cause of this newsletter, Mise en Scene is the
collaboration of various factors of movie making, both aesthetic and technical. it s far whilst those
factors like art course, costumes, places, lighting, lensing, composition, shot taking, modifying, sound,
tune, actors and the script all synthesize to create the appropriate cinematic vehicle that fine serves the
narrative structure, the characters and the thematic concerns of the maker, that cinema is unspooled on
celluloid. The masters of cinema were classified auteurs when they stamped their Mise en Scene onto
their movies. From Robert Bresson, Carl Dreyer, Yasujiro oz., Kenji Mizoguchi, Jean Luc Goddard,

Intel Uses Total Quality Management
Intel, also known as Integrated Electronics, is a company that manufactures and sells various types of
electronic equipment and hardware. It was founded by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce in 1968 and
has since grown to be a commonly used consumer brand. Intel must ensure that its products are
consistently well made, especially when its products affect the consumer s experience with the
technology he or she is using. Because Intel must implement quality in a wide variety of products, the
best practice for the company is to have a physical separation between its departments and to focus on
the quality of each individual aspect of its product creation; this will allow each department to
specialize in their work functions and allow the company to separate each task effectively.
Intel uses total quality management (TQM) to enhance the quality of its products, particularly its
microprocessors. TQM is a customer oriented philosophy which is centered on quality to result in
customer delight (Mystica, Bai 10). The overall goal of TQM is to focus on the following three pillars:
continuous improvement, involvement of everyone, and achievement of customer satisfaction. The
third pillar, achievement of customer satisfaction, has allowed Intel to fully implement TQM. It has
helped to improve the communities around it by transferring its knowledge of the total quality concept
to local schools and helping them to apply those principles (Anfuso). Because of Intel s quality

NHL Player Tracking Essay
According to the Sports Business Daily article, NHL aims for player tracking system this year , vision
based tracking systems have not been the most accurate when it comes to tracking the puck on the ice.
This is mainly because of the speed of the puck and its unpredictable movement (Thomas, 2017). It is
also because of its tendency to be covered up by the goalie which can lead to incorrect readings. For
this reason, the NHL has talked with two potential vendors that can provide each of these individual
technologies (Thomas, 2017).
David Lehanski, senior vice president of business development and global partnerships of the NHL
states that their goal is to test the technologies at the 2017 2018 All Star Game in Tampa, Florida
(Thomas, 2017). They will be looking to see how the technologies are implemented and if they are
successful throughout this next trial run.
According to the Sports Business Daily article, NHL aims for player tracking system this year , having
a computer vision tracking system in the NHL, would provide the league with an accurate tracking
system that is easier to being using and less expensive than a chip based player tracking system. The

Sacramento Regional Transit Strategic Plan Essay
Large cities and populations rely on public transportation to reduce traffic congestion and vehicle
emission as well as provide a means for citizens without personal vehicles to travel to important
places like work, school or the grocery store. Critically important infrastructure to any city, without a
reliable regional transportation system those who cannot afford cars are greatly impacted. Such groups
may be confined to a particular neighborhood which may result in lack of accessibility to jobs or other
important resources, in modern cities neighborhoods cut off from transportation can become
increasingly poor, see elevated crime rates and more likely to continue to be separated from the local
economy. Beginning operation in 1973 Sacramento s public transportation system grew with the

The Ethics Of Fetal Stem Cell Research
Despite the new technological advances that bring promise to many medical treatments, few issues
cause concern when implementing the research into clinical studies. Many ethical dilemmas slow the
progression of research due to the variety of opinions influenced by moral beliefs. Resembling
abortion, the process of fetal stem cell research includes destruction of the embryo five to seven days
after conceived, in order to obtain the needed stem cells. Stem cells main function is to divide and
regenerate into new more specially designed cells. In 1981, mice stem cells were obtained but over ten
years later, researchers were able to extract stem cells from human embryos. It is believed the stem
cells of a human embryo could better the treatments of birth defects, diseases such as Alzheimer s,
Parkinson s, and cancer. The finding of these stem cells and their uses established a moral standstill
within medicine and society. Besides fetal stem cells, adult stem cells are also researched for new
therapies yet are not as effective. According to the National Institutes of Health (2015), the stem cells
obtained from an embryo are analyzed in order to identify how undifferentiated stem cells become the
differentiated cells that form the tissues and organs. Many diseases are caused by an abnormality of
cell division and cause the body to decline in health over time. The most common disease of abnormal
cell growth is cancer, which destroy body tissues. Although there are

Essay on America s Most Devastating Conflict
America s Most Devastating Conflict
King Philip s War (1675 76) is an event that has been largely ignored by the American public and
popular historians. However, the almost two year conflict between the colonists and the Native
Americans in New England stands as perhaps the most devastating war in this country s history. One
in ten soldiers on both sides were wounded or killed. At its height, hostilities threatened to push the
recently arrived English colonists back to the coast. And, it took years for towns and urban centers to
recover from the carnage and property damage.
The war is named for King Philip, the son of Massasoit and chief of the Wampanoag nation. In his

Though there were many events that led to the war, the attack on the settlement on the banks of the
Kickemuit River may be attributed to the growing perception that Indian land had been increasingly
encroached upon by settlers, leaving cornfields overrun by settlers livestock and traditional hunting
grounds inaccessible. In fact, since the arrival of the English at Plymouth Rock in 1620, land under
Native control had been reduced from all of Southeastern Massachusetts to merely the area of the
Mount Hope peninsula. (A map and local points related to the war can be found at
http://drweed.home.mindspring.com/kingphilip.htm.)
Less than a week later, authorities in Rhode Island, Plymouth, and Massachusetts attempted
negotiation with Philip, and sought guarantees of fidelity from the Nipmucks and Narragansetts.
However, before the end of the month, Wampanoags made a sudden raid on the settlement of Swansea
on the Taunton River.
On June 26, Massachusetts troops marched to Swansea to join Plymouth troops.

A Social Group
In life, we all play different roles. I am a daughter, niece, friend, student, employee and artist. The
definition of a social group is two or more people who interact on a regular basis in routine ways and
who share a common sense of membership and identity. A social group example would be classmates
in one section of a class and an example of an aggregate would be New Yorkers riding the subway
together. An aggregate is not a group but a collection of people who briefly share the same physical
space but do not see themselves as belonging together. Over the summer, I auditioned to be part of a
theatre company and was asked to join. The name of the company is called Complete Theatre
Company and they do shows and have acting classes three days a week. I was recently part of their
improvisation show Call My Dog . The people in the class range from ages eighteen to seventy five,
normally in the Friday class, they are about 15 people that come, but it depends on the day. It differs
week to week. A normal acting class is formatted by doing physical and vocal warm ups, having a
keynote speaker where we talk about different aspects about the business of acting and then Annie
goes around the room and asks us if we have a scene or a monologue to work on and if we do, we
work on them and the class gives positive feedback. We are a primary group because we are small in

From the Large-Scale Universe to the Milky Way
Cosmology is the study of the universe, everything from the largest galaxies to the smallest atom. It
attempts to answer the question, How does the universe work? , by looking at everything in the
universe and working to understand it. Cosmology has always been studied, however in the last 20
years, technology has given scientists new information and allowed for an increasing knowledge of
the structure and history of the universe with the ultimate goal of finding a theory that can explain
everything. The Copernican Revolution was the beginning of modern cosmology. It was the time
when the geocentric model of the solar system was disproved, opening up the possibilities that
explained the universe. Newton s Laws provided another piece of the cosmology puzzle and gave
today s scientists the laws they must work with to explain the universe. Albert Einstein provided yet
another theory the universe must operate on, giving scientists even more boundaries for whatever
discoveries they make. With the modern addition of advanced telescopes, today s scientists are able to
explain the vastness of the universe, as well as how galaxies, stars, planets, and all the other matter
that makes up the universe. The Big Bang theory explains how the universe came to be. Before the
Big Bang, there was nothing. After, there was something. 14 billion years ago, a massive expansion
began, creating all the matter necessary for the universe to exist today. It was an extremely dense, hot,

All Men Created Equal Essay
All Men Created Equal
America has undergone incredible hardships as a nation. No issue has had more impact on the
development of the American definition of freedom than the issue of slavery. Did the Constitution
specify which men were created equal? Surprisingly enough the phrase quot;all men are created equal
with certain inalienable rights quot; did not mean what it does today. The nation was divided on the
issue of slavery and the rights of the black man in its early stages as a growing republic. Abraham
Lincoln was a brave pioneer who dared to rub his hand against the grain of slavery bringing the
original ideals of America s founders to a new light. He was a man who felt he was witnessing a slow
decay in the foundation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They did not mean to say all were equal in color, size, intellect, moral developments, or social
capacity. quot;
This statement was perfectly logical. The Declaration goes on to state that the
quot;inalienable rights quot; that human beings have are the rights to quot;life, liberty and the pursuit
of happiness. quot; This was the idea which Abraham believed was the
quot;standard maxim for free society. quot; Abraham even used a parallel from the Bible.
quot; As your Father in Heaven is perfect, be ye also perfect. quot; This quote from
Matthew 5:48 was used to illustrate that God had set an impossible goal for us to attain, and in the
same way the framers of the Constitution and writers of the Declaration of Independence gave
mankind an endeavor to give equality to all mankind. Douglas argued that the writers only meant to
give the British citizens in America equal rights to the British citizens then residing in Great
Britain. Douglas argument for this hypothesis was:
quot; they [the writers] referred to the white race alone, and not to the African, when they declared all
men to have been created equal quot;
It was terribly wrong because white did not necessarily mean British. Where did this statement leave
white immigrants from Germany and France who were not necessarily British ? The Declaration was
not meant as a mere statement of liberation from Britain but as the basis of a

Stockbridge-Munsee Tribe Research Paper
I chose the Stockbridge Munsee Tribe. I primarily chose this tribe because it is one that was influential
in my life having gone to school in Bonduel. I have friends among this tribe and have genuinely
enjoyed the knowledge and heritage they have shared with me. This tribe is located in Shawano
County and covers a span of 22,139 acres. Of this acreage about 73.4% is held in trust while the
remaining 26.6% is fee land. The Stockbridge Munsee Tribe has a total of 1565 tribal members. Of
these members the majority of them are in the range of 18 to 65 years of age making up 76% (1181 in
total). While the remaining 15% and 9% respectively make up of 65 and older (253 in total) and
children under the age of 17 (139 in total). The tribe currently employs roughly 47% of its members
(740 in total) and is regarded as one of the largest employers in the county. ... Show more content on

Vlad The Impaler Controversy
Throughout history, there have been many people who have wandered off the path of morality and
into the field of controversy. Empress Wu Zetian (She was responsible for the major expansion of the
Chinese empire who did not hesitate to murder anyone who stood in her path.), Adolf Hitler (He is the
man responsible for one of biggest genocides in history.), and Bashar Al Assad (The man who denied
citizens of Syria basic rights and used violence to stay in command.) are some of the world s most
controversial leaders in mankind s history. However, there is one whose legacy has evolved from a
raging warmonger into the supernatural monster known as Count Dracula , his name is Vlad the
Impaler. But what makes Vlad such a controversial historical figure? To answer this we must not only
look into the past to find out who Dracula was, we also have to look into how the story came to be and

Born in Sigismund, Romania on December of 1431, Vlad Tepes became prince of Wallachia in 1436.
Since then, Vlad the Impaler used ruthless and contentious methods to build and expand his empire in
15th century Europe. Vlad s use of cruel and inhumane punishment is what makes him such a
controversial leader in history. Vlad s views on punishment were very barbaric. He was known for
punishing men, women, and even children. According to Criminological Controversies: A
Methodological Primer (1996): Prince Vlad may have executed as many as 20 percent of his
population, using methods that were highly likely (if not certain), swift (no lengthy trials there), and
severe (by today s standards, cruel and unusual). This quote comes from the book Criminological
Controversies: A Methodological Primer published in 1996. This book delves deep into the world of

Psychology Paper Reign over Me
Reign Over Me
Reign Over Me by Mike Binder shows the life of a man who loses everything on the day of September
11, 2001. Charlie Fineman played by Adam Sandler suffers the loss of his wife and three daughters in
the tragic plane accident. Despite five years passing Charlie has not yet been able to deal with his loss
and as a result creates his own world of vinyl records and video games. By doing so he isolates
himself from anything and everything that reminds him of what he once had; leaving his once blissful
apartment full of bare walls.
Flashbacks are a key characteristic of a person who suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder.
However, in the movie the audience does not witness Charlie having any flashbacks, although he does
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This aspect of the film, although heart wrenching, shows that Charlie does have some recollection of
the events leading up to the plane crash. A person suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder has the
tendency to not think about those events and even supresses them (Lilienfeld et al., 2010). Despite this
microscopic flaw, Reign Over Me is most likely the greatest movie representation of a person
suffering from PTSD. In a chi squared test at the University of Liverpool of individuals with chronic
posttraumatic stress disorder, findings revealed that men are likely to increase alcohol consumption as
a result of a traumatic event (Z. I. Kekelidze et. el, 2009) .In the movie we also witness Charlie
purchasing alcohol and drinking the entire bottle before attempting to have himself shot by police
officers.
Charlie s battle with chronic PTSD is a difficult journey as he drowns himself in music in order to
prevent himself from thinking about the things which he fears most. Director Mike Binder incredibly
enables the viewer to enter the mind of a person suffering from PTSD and successfully stays true to
the not only the symptoms of the disorder, but also its effects of loved ones and the individual
themself.

Of Creon The Tragic Hero In Sophocles Antigone
What is a tragic hero? A tragic hero is someone who was well respected, but their tragic flaw led to
their fall. In Sophocles Antigone, it could be argued that either Creon or Antigone is the tragic hero. I
argue Creon is the tragic hero in this play. Antigone has the main character as Antigone the daughter
of the famous Oedipus, who married his mother and killed his father. At the beginning of the play
Oedipus has died and Antigone s power hungry brothers have killed each other, Polynices being made
as a traitor and left unburied, worthless. Antigone s sister, Ismene, is her only sibling left, though she
is one to follow the rules. Antigone plans to bury her brother even though Creon has forbid it, this is
where the conflict begins. Antigone

Growing Up Samoan By Aotearoa New Zealand Essay
GROWING UP SAMOAN, IN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND. IDENTITY. ADAPTATION.
ACCULTURATION.
The purpose of this essay is to describe the Samoan culture as an indigenous culture prior to contact
with western civilisation. The changes that came with the advent of Christianity. Samoan migration to
Aotearoa New Zealand particularly during the influx of sought after workers, from 1950s to1980s.
The impact on Samoan families when employment was threatened by decreased workload and
disgruntled New Zealanders. The dawn raids of 1970s to 1980s. This history will precede the required
time frame of 1990 2010, to show the flow of events during the political climate. Within this time
frame, three takepu/Maori principles will be injected to frame the tau kumekume/positive and negative
conflict of the lived experiences of the Samoan people. These takepu will inform and navigate the
struggles of the Samoan people for social equity, as opposed to equality; particularly in the context of
social work practise. The role of Te Tiriti o Waitangi/The Treaty of Waitangi will be examined, in
personal and social work contexts; to determine how or if they unify or conflict with Samoan culture,
in Aotearoa. Within the time frame, writers, and ideologies of Samoan culture will be identified
according to their bias for or against. The resilience of the Samoan culture, and its people; and how
they emerged from the challenges they encountered. Included throughout, are my lived experiences,

A Ballerina s Tale Analysis
Documentary Essay : A Ballerinas Tale.
A Ballerinas Tale directed by Nelson Turner, focuses on a young girl who longs to become a
successful ballerina in a world that is extremely competitive. Despite the trials and tribulations that
she faces she refuses to give up, and continues to aim for her long term goal. By utilizing video clips,
photos, and interviews the documentary conveys emotional appeal. This allows viewers to experience
the struggles that the main character goes through. This documentary focuses on showing viewers
that, experiencing hardships is a way of life, and it is what an individual learns and makes out of their
setbacks that determine how successful they will be.
As the documentary starts, the viewer is first greeted with a clip of young Misty at one of her ballet
practices. Looking at her at first glance, she appears to be around the age of 13. However her dancing
style and technique can be comparable to those of a grown woman. The viewer notices that Misty
stands out for numerous reasons. This may include her skin tone, the fact that she appears younger
than the other dancers, or her overall physique. But, what stands out the most is how graceful and
poised her dancing is. Starting of the documentary with this clip allows viewers to see firsthand how
unique and beautiful Misty is. In the next significant clip the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Examples Of Morality In Frankenstein
Science against Morality Science has been improving throughout the history that changed the way we
think and live. Furthermore, as more things are being discovered we attempt to make our lives better.
Since chemistry had contradicted alchemy, we were able to go for the modern technology. This all
happened when people thirsted and hungered for their new knowledge. However, would this scientific
knowledge affect our morality? Mary Shelley wrote this remarkable book Frankenstein which talks
about this issue. The book points out the creation of monster, death of Justine, contrast of Henry and
Victor. With these I will explain these symbols and concepts; and analyzing his world views too.
First I want to talk about the monster. This creature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

her innocent crimes (page 70). But Victor has not report his issue about the monster; which would
have saved Justine s life. Then Victor shows his bitterness after she died (page 71). Why didn t victor
report the monster and end this issue. If Victor revealed his secrets of the monster, he would be
responsible for William s death. Furthermore, the University of Ingolstadt is unaware about Victor s
monster. Basically, Victor will lose his Job as a scientist. However, we Christians believe we should
tell the truth even if it hurts A truthful witness saves lives, but one who breathes out lies is deceitful
(Proverbs 14:25). Victor has become a dishonest witness and committed a great crime against our
Lord, There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a
lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make
haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers
(Proverbs 6:16 19). Justine s death is a show the results when Victor tried to play God through science.
Therefore, Victor burdens are heavier than

Vigilantism In Batman
Journal 03 Vigilantism When I hear the word vigilante, there s one thing that comes to mind: Batman.
From the time I was a little girl watching the Batman movies, I have always supported the idea of a
vigilante. To me, seeing Batman deliver justice on criminals had always been very exciting. As I grow
older and wiser I ve developed more of an understanding of the corruption that does destroy our
justice system which makes me support vigilantism even more. Though real life isn t quite as dramatic
as the Batman movies, I like the idea of a masked vigilante protecting those who cannot protect
themselves. Vigilantes are the heroes that every community needs to swiftly deal out justice.
Traditionally, there will always be two sides to the

The Metamorphosis of Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas...
A Christmas Carol, a tale that revolves around a man s fate in the past, the present, and the future. Its
story speaks of a man, a man called Ebenezer Scrooge, and the changes in which he goes through.
Oh! But he was tight fisted man at the grindstone, Scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping,
scraping, covetous old sinner! Hard and sharp as flint, from which no steel had ever struck out
generous fire; secret, and self contained, and solitary as an oyster. The cold within him froze his old
features, nipped his pointed nose, shrivelled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin
lips blue; and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. A frosty rime was on his head, and on his
eyebrows, and his wiry chin. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cold within him froze his old features. I believe that this description shows that
Scrooge is unbelievably cold hearted, even unrealistically so: No wind blew bitterer than he, no falling
snow more intent upon its purpose, no pelting rain less open to entreaty. Foul weather didn t know
where to have him. This description displays that not even the weather has an effect on him, it is also
apparent that Scrooge s personality was worse than any weather, he was bitterer than any blizzard
colder than any rainfall.
Scrooge s attitude to others is terrible, he is not at all courteous to anyone he meets. He is especially
horrible to his clerk, Bob
Cratchit who he pays terribly. He does not allow Mr.Cratchit to have any time off work during the
year, except Christmas day: (Which he does very bitterly and reluctantly) ...a squeezing, wrenching,
grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner! I believe that this description displays Scrooge
making his clerk work tirelessly for long hours all through the year, and permitting him to have one
day off. Trying to get him work incredibly hard for every penny Scrooge parts with. There is another
example of this quote, with Scrooge s clerk s fireplace. A single coal is all Scrooge is willing

In these periods there where several different composers who helped shape that period. Here are but a few in each of the period. In the Baroque period some composers are Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Pachelbel, and Handel. There of course are many more as these are just four composers. First, Vivaldi his full name is Antonio Lucio Vivaldi. Vivaldi was born in 1678 and grew to be an Italian violinist and a composer. He was born with angina pectoris or chest pain due heart disease of his heart not gaining enough oxygen, he was also born with asthma. Due to these conditions he was known for running out of church, but he was also known to run out due to a composition idea he would have. Once Vivaldi started to work he worked in a place called Ospedal Della Pieta where he would teach women to play the violin. This place would later be known as an orphanage since noble men would drop off the female children that they would have with their mistresses and leave them there. The fathers of these girls helped pay the orphanage as hush money to keep the knowledge silent. Vivaldi was known to work here for several years on and off before he died in 1741 at the age of sixty three years old. Now another composer was Pachelbel. They know that despite displaying a minimal correlation, there is a possibility for various genes to contribute to alcoholism. The Kalsi et al. (2008) article is a review article, therefore, lacking a hypothesis. The main idea was to identify various genes that are related to alcoholism and how they affect the brain. The first variant studied was DRD2, a dopamine receptor gene (Kalsi et al., 2008). This gene is known for being related to addiction and pleasures in life. It is not shocking to know that this gene is elevated in the nervous system, because alcohol raises the dopamine receptors and causes drinkers to feel as if they need more, thus increasing their happiness. Another gene discussed is the GABAA gene, a component of the GABRA2 gene. This component when found in AD, spikes an increase in tolerance level, thus creating an effect in the brain to encourage the individual to continue drinking. Once the tolerance levels have spiked, GABAA and another receptor gene, NPY will induce withdrawal behavior. These variants, if found at low levels, play a vital role in the onset of alcoholism. While understanding that the NPY gene may be found in the individuals, the CREB signaling pathway must also be discussed. • 10. Election Day After President Of The United States Election Day is when Americans everywhere get to cast their vote for the next President of the United States. However, Americans don t directly vote for President. So, what s happening on Election Day then? It is a bit complicated due to a system involving something called the Electoral College. The Electoral College is the collection of 538 votes that determine who will be the next President of the United States of America. The number 538 comes from the number of Representatives, 438, plus the number Senators, 100, all of which make up Congress. These votes, however, are not given directly to the citizens; they are divvied up amongst the states. Every state, no matter how populous, receives a minimum of three votes in the Electoral College. The remaining votes are then given out in proportion to the states population (Walenta, 2010). On Election Day, when citizens go to vote, they are not actually voting for who they want to be the next President. They are actually only deciding who the electors will be and telling them how they want them to vote ( Electoralvote.com ). If a candidate wins the majority of the votes in a state, no matter how minor, he will obtain all of that state s votes. For example, Florida has 29 votes in the Electoral College, if one candidate were to receive just 51% of Florida s vote, he would receive all of the 29 votes, even when 49% of the state did not vote for him. It was founded by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce in 1968 and has since grown to be a commonly used consumer brand. Intel must ensure that its products are consistently well made, especially when its products affect the consumer s experience with the technology he or she is using. Because Intel must implement quality in a wide variety of products, the best practice for the company is to have a physical separation between its departments and to focus on the quality of each individual aspect of its product creation; this will allow each department to specialize in their work functions and allow the company to separate each task effectively. Intel uses total quality management (TQM) to enhance the quality of its products, particularly its microprocessors. TQM is a customer oriented philosophy which is centered on quality to result in customer delight (Mystica, Bai 10). The overall goal of TQM is to focus on the following three pillars: continuous improvement, involvement of everyone, and achievement of customer satisfaction. The third pillar, achievement of customer satisfaction, has allowed Intel to fully implement TQM. This is mainly because of the speed of the puck and its unpredictable movement (Thomas, 2017). It is also because of its tendency to be covered up by the goalie which can lead to incorrect readings. For this reason, the NHL has talked with two potential vendors that can provide each of these individual technologies (Thomas, 2017). No issue has had more impact on the development of the American definition of freedom than the issue of slavery. Did the Constitution specify which men were created equal? Surprisingly enough the phrase quot;all men are created equal with certain inalienable rights quot; did not mean what it does today. The nation was divided on the issue of slavery and the rights of the black man in its early stages as a growing republic. Abraham Lincoln was a brave pioneer who dared to rub his hand against the grain of slavery bringing the original ideals of America s founders to a new light. He was a man who felt he was witnessing a slow decay in the foundation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They did not mean to say all were equal in color, size, intellect, moral developments, or social capacity. quot; This statement was perfectly logical. The Declaration goes on to state that the quot;inalienable rights quot; that human beings have are the rights to quot;life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. quot; This was the idea which Abraham believed was the quot;standard maxim for free society. quot; Abraham even used a parallel from the Bible. quot; As your Father in Heaven is perfect, be ye also perfect. quot; This quote from Matthew 5:48 was used to illustrate that God had set an impossible goal for us to attain, and in the same way the framers of the Constitution and writers of the Declaration of Independence gave mankind an endeavor to give equality to all mankind. Douglas argued that the writers only meant to give the British citizens in America equal rights to the British citizens then residing in Great Britain. Douglas argument for this hypothesis was: quot; they [the writers] referred to the white race alone, and not to the African, when they declared all men to have been created equal quot; It was terribly wrong because white did not necessarily mean British. Where did this statement leave white immigrants from Germany and France who were not necessarily British ? The Declaration was not meant as a mere statement of liberation from Britain but as the basis of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since then, Vlad the Impaler used ruthless and contentious methods to build and expand his empire in 15th century Europe. Vlad s use of cruel and inhumane punishment is what makes him such a controversial leader in history. Vlad s views on punishment were very barbaric. He was known for punishing men, women, and even children. According to Criminological Controversies: A Methodological Primer (1996): Prince Vlad may have executed as many as 20 percent of his population, using methods that were highly likely (if not certain), swift (no lengthy trials there), and severe (by today s standards, cruel and unusual). • 27. Psychology Paper Reign over Me Reign Over Me Reign Over Me by Mike Binder shows the life of a man who loses everything on the day of September 11, 2001. Charlie Fineman played by Adam Sandler suffers the loss of his wife and three daughters in the tragic plane accident. Despite five years passing Charlie has not yet been able to deal with his loss and as a result creates his own world of vinyl records and video games. By doing so he isolates himself from anything and everything that reminds him of what he once had; leaving his once blissful apartment full of bare walls. Flashbacks are a key characteristic of a person who suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder. However, in the movie the audience does not witness Charlie having any flashbacks, although he does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This aspect of the film, although heart wrenching, shows that Charlie does have some recollection of the events leading up to the plane crash. A person suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder has the tendency to not think about those events and even supresses them (Lilienfeld et al., 2010). Despite this microscopic flaw, Reign Over Me is most likely the greatest movie representation of a person suffering from PTSD. In a chi squared test at the University of Liverpool of individuals with chronic posttraumatic stress disorder, findings revealed that men are likely to increase alcohol consumption as a result of a traumatic event (Z. I. Kekelidze et. el, 2009) .In the movie we also witness Charlie purchasing alcohol and drinking the entire bottle before attempting to have himself shot by police officers. Charlie s battle with chronic PTSD is a difficult journey as he drowns himself in music in order to prevent himself from thinking about the things which he fears most. Director Mike Binder incredibly enables the viewer to enter the mind of a person suffering from PTSD and successfully stays true to the not only the symptoms of the disorder, but also its effects of loved ones and the individual themself. • 28. Of Creon The Tragic Hero In Sophocles Antigone What is a tragic hero? A tragic hero is someone who was well respected, but their tragic flaw led to their fall. In Sophocles Antigone, it could be argued that either Creon or Antigone is the tragic hero. I argue Creon is the tragic hero in this play. Antigone has the main character as Antigone the daughter of the famous Oedipus, who married his mother and killed his father. At the beginning of the play Oedipus has died and Antigone s power hungry brothers have killed each other, Polynices being made as a traitor and left unburied, worthless. Antigone s sister, Ismene, is her only sibling left, though she is one to follow the rules. Antigone plans to bury her brother even though Creon has forbid it, this is where the conflict begins. From the time I was a little girl watching the Batman movies, I have always supported the idea of a vigilante. To me, seeing Batman deliver justice on criminals had always been very exciting. As I grow older and wiser I ve developed more of an understanding of the corruption that does destroy our justice system which makes me support vigilantism even more. Though real life isn t quite as dramatic as the Batman movies, I like the idea of a masked vigilante protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Vigilantes are the heroes that every community needs to swiftly deal out justice. Traditionally, there will always be two sides to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Its story speaks of a man, a man called Ebenezer Scrooge, and the changes in which he goes through. Oh! But he was tight fisted man at the grindstone, Scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, covetous old sinner! The cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shrivelled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue; and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. This description displays that not even the weather has an effect on him, it is also apparent that Scrooge s personality was worse than any weather, he was bitterer than any blizzard colder than any rainfall.
