The Impact Of Charlie Chaplin s Impact On Film
Throughout this course, we have talked about a lot of different directors, photographers, artists, actors,
etc., involved in some of the most foundational and original films during the silent film era. However,
the person who really intrigued me the most was, none other than, Charlie Chaplin. In fact, I d like to
use this paper to further explore his life and career to gain some perspective on who he was and the
steps it took for him to rise to fame. I believe his impact on film throughout his life was extremely
influential, and in order to understand that impact, I must start from the beginning. Charles S. Chaplin
was born in London, England on April 16th of 1889. His father, Charles Chaplin Sr. and mother,
Hannah Harriett (stage name: Lily Harley), each doubled as vocalists and stage performers. Thanks to
his parents, Charlie discovered his talents at an early age. He was only five years old when he made
his first appearance on stage as a fill in for his mother at a music hall performance. After that, his
passion for the performing arts could only grow larger. However, his life took a dramatic turn after his
father left and his mother was subsequently put into an asylum, all before the age of ten. Because of
this, Charlie and his brother Sydney were set off on a hard journey where they were left to fend for
themselves. After two years spent with his half brother in an ill kept orphanage, doing his best to use
his mother s contacts to reach some sort of acting

The availability of a system can be expressed through this calculation:
(Actual uptime)/(Expected uptime) ×100%
The result of this calculation is expressed in terms of the number of 9s (see Table A1). This calculation
shows the availability percentage, which is often expressed in number 9 s, and what it means for an
organization in terms of possible uptime or downtime. Because of the nature of the business that
CASH supports, it is imperative for them to have system availability of close to 99.999% (Tuttle,
2012).
In a volatile and technology dependent business climate, downtime, whether it is planned or
unplanned would cost a fortune to the company (Quintero, Finnes, Herrera, Shankar, Sigel, 2010, p.
1). Due to the firm s global presence and business operations being held 24 hours and six days per
week, the downtime during peak hours could mean the loss of revenue for the firm in terms of
millions of dollars per minute. In order to prevent any type of data or connection loss for their clients,
a set of High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) must be in place for a firm like CASH
(Quintero et al., 2010).
Disaster Recovery
Disaster Recovery is the process an organization uses to recover access to their software, data, and/or
hardware that are needed to resume the performance of normal, critical business functions after the
event of either a natural disaster or a disaster caused by humans (Disaster Recovery) The goal for any
disaster recovery plan would be

Trifles: Yes Minnie did it but can you blame her?
The play Trifles by Susan Glaspell is an interesting story about a woman named Mrs.Minnie Wright.
Mrs. Minnie wright does not actually take part in the scene but is actually the main character
throughout the play. The focus of the play is about whether or not Minnie Wright did in fact murder
her husband, John Wright or did he commit suicide. Throughout the scene, they bring in people to
look over or find evidence that can be used to give testimony at her trial. Mrs. Minnie wright should
be found innocent of her husband s death, It does not matter if she had a part in his death or not. The
fact that she was not happy because of her husband s attitude towards her tells the audience that she
was not happy and was a captive in what was supposed to be her home.
Mrs.Minnie Wright does not deserve to be condemned for the crime of murdering of her husband.
Mrs.Wright should not be condemned to prison or death because she has already suffered enough
although her marriage and needs to have enough room and space to be able to take a breath. There is
no concrete evidence that she had a hand in his death. The only evidence that seems to be against her
is the fact that she is not acting the way the men want her to. The fact that she is not crying or wailing
about the death of her husband seems to upset the men in the play. So much in fact that they seem to
ignore

An analysis of the factors of successful implementation of customer relationship management in chain
of supermarkets in the United Kingdom 1. Introduction Today, more and more companies find that
cultivating customer loyalty is a key factor to achieve success. Customer relationship management
(CRM) focuses on the relationship between customer and company. Due to this feature, many
companies are trying to establish their own CRM system for helping them to connect new customers

Life s Greatest Lesson Essay
Life s Greatest Lesson
Morrie Schwartz was an intelligent, interesting senior citizen that touched a lot of people, especially
Mitch Albom. Morrie passed on a lot of his knowledge in the last few months of his life, due to
amyotrophic lareral sclerosis (ALS). This paper will touch on Morrie s philosophy of life, what he
says is important and valuable, and also the struggles and problems of life. I will also compare Morrie
s message with other philosophies and also give my opinion about Morrie s theory of human nature
and philosophy of life. Morrie s philosophy of life is full of many ideas and to better understand it it s
easier to break it down into parts. One of the philosophies was to cherish family and to be more open
about your ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many let the culture tell them how to live their life but his philosophy is that you must be your own
person and don t let anyone else tell you how to live. Morrie put a lot of emphasis on what is
important and valuable in his philosophy of life. One value that he felt very strongly about was that
people look at material things to judge others instead of looking on the inside and getting to know
them. One quote that supports this statement says how we should not depend on material things to find
happiness and love. They were embracing material things and expecting a sort of hug back. But it
never works. You can t substitute material things for love or for gentleness or for tenderness or for a
sense of comradeship (Albom p. 125). This quote shows one of Morrie s strongest values, it tells how
he felt about money and material items. Morrie felt that people look to much at what others have and
base their friends on money. You cannot turn to cars, money, or mansions to get love and be liked by
others. If someone is your true friend they will love you for who you are and not what you have.
Morrie also had ideas on the challenges faced by humans and our human nature. He highlighted some
of the struggles and problems faced by most humans. The following quote shows how Morrie felt
about people basing their lives on money instead of simple pleasures. Morrie had always been taken
with simple pleasures, singing, laughing, dancing. Now, more than ever,

The Two X Linked Inheritence
X Linked Inheritence
The topic which is assogned to me is X linked inhertance that is a pattern of inheritance in which the
spread of traits differentiate according to the sex of the individual because the genes which are present
on the X chromosome have no counterparts on the Y chromosome. The inheritance pattern can be
recessive or dominant. The trait firm by a gene on the X chromosome is always expressed in
males.Because we know that males only d have one X chrmosome whichever the disease related to it
will express itself in the individual. Transmission from father to son does not occur. There are two
Kinds of X linked inheritance are X linked dominant inheritance and X linked recessive inheritance.
1 X Linked Recessive Inheritance
Now lets us we some breif explanation of X linked recessive inheritance. it is a mode of inheritance in
which a mutation in a gene on the X chromosome causes the phenotype to be articulated in males
(who are necessarily hemizygous for the gene mutation because they have only one X chromosome)
and in females who are homozygous for the gene mutation (i.e., they have a duplicate of the gene
mutation on both of their two X chromosomes).
X linked inheritance can be expressed as the means that the gene causing the trait or the disorder is
present on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes while males have one X and one Y
chromosome. Carrier females who contain simply one replica of the mutation do not typically state the
phenotype though

Cowside Beck Discharge Analysis
Introduction Hillslopes are incredibly important as they cover the vast majority of United Kingdoms
(UK) upland landscapes. In sight of this, an aim in this project was to analyse the slope profiles of the
valley system around Cowside Beck. Not only do hillslope processes have influence on the formation
and aesthetics of UK upland areas, fluvial processes also have high significance, leading another aim
in this project to be able to ascertain the discharge of Cowside Beck using the velocity area method.
Method We used the velocity area method as discharge is calculated by the product of the cross
sectional area of the water and its velocity. The discharge of cowside beck was calculated after the
initial data collection. To calculate the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A stratified sampling method was chosen due to the changes in the hillslope profiles being localised in
areas over small intervals, this method was efficient and representative of the full range of changes. A
limitation of this method is that choosing the sections was subjective, in order to decrease the
subjectivity and any bias that may be present, the same person chose the sections each time. Time was
one of the main constraints in this enquiry therefore we chose to use the clinometer tape method rather
than levelling all the way up the hillslope as it was a much simpler approach and took less time to set
up and undertake. In some narrow sections the hillslope had a small angle, being almost flat, an
explanation for this is the area of Cowside Beck is a popular tourist destination for walkers so
footpaths were present. In some of the sample sections, no evidence of mass movement was observed.
However in other areas, mass movement is the key to understanding the shape of the hillslope.
Numerous sample sites contained terracettes, which is an explanation for the slope having concavities
and convexities in close proximity to each other. These landforms are formed by the mass movement
process of soil creep. Soil creep is a very slow process that occurs when the underlying rock becomes
saturated and in turn causing the soil to become saturated. Often the hillslope is steep so the soil
cannot remain stable and gets thrust away from the slope. The material expands due to processes of
freezing, heating and water action and the soil slowly creeps downhill due to gravity. The
concentration of the terracettes in the earlier sites nearer to the river can be explained by the water
table lying some distance up the hillslope so the river lies below the water table. This causes the soil in
this area to become more saturated and heavier hence more soil

Children Dealing with Life and Death
Most children ponder the thought of what life would be like without their parents. They imagine how
amazing and fun a life filled with jokes and no rules would be. Not even having to go to school if you
did not want to. Except this is not how life works. When a parent dies and the reality sets in, it quickly
shows us that life is not all fun and games. The death of a parent is a devastating reality for any young
child to bare. This abrupt reality may have long lasting effects as each child has their own unique way
of perceiving life s events. In the blink of an eye ones world may be completely twisted around. This
kind of tragedy has the ability to shape a child in both negative and positive ways. They are now faced
with the task of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another type of death is one by tragedy that can be unexpected and can be more devastating than
prolonged death in that it occurs suddenly and without notice. More often than not parents die
unexpectedly and their children are left behind in a big scary world with no guidelines on how to
survive. In part this is because parents do not expect to die while their child or children are still young.
Planning ahead for the future can be difficult for parents emotionally as well as culturally and in some
cases even financially. Initially when a parent dies it seems as if they have all the support in the world
by people who love them. Most people seem to think that after a year or more children should be well
adjusted, happy and have made it through their traumatic loss. A child s perspective may seem
different in fact they may feel more alone. A child named Abby had this to say about that topic The
pain got worse! Because the initial shock wears off, people stop coming to your house, and you are
left....with yourself (Simon, Johnson 49). What most people do not realize is that they still are not
okay.
No one can completely prepare for the unknown when a child loses a parent no one can predict how
each child will grieve. The caretaker of the child who is grieving has the responsibility of trying to
understand the child s thoughts or questions. When a child s parent has died adjusting to a new way of
life can be extremely difficult

Henry David Thoreau And Ralph Waldo Emerson On Self...
Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson were neighbors and shared a strong bond of
friendship. It was Emerson s interest and support that encouraged Thoreau to become an aspiring
writer to achieve greatness. Both Emerson and Thoreau were Transcendentalists. The most important
belief of Transcendentalists was the idea that people should act upon their own conscious without
giving away to what society thinks of their actions. Thoreau is usually referred as the disciple of
Emerson, who s known as the father of Transcendentalism but critics have argued about the
similarities and differences in their work. The main focus of this paper is to compare the works of two
writers, Emerson s essay On Self Reliance and Thoreau s Walden, and show the influence of Emerson
on Thoreau s literature.
Thoreau was one of the many followers of Emerson but he acted upon his teaching most consistently.
Emerson s essay, Self Reliance, had made an abiding impression on Thoreau. Towards the end of his
essay, Emerson asserted, It is only as a man puts off all foreign support, and stands alone, that I see
him to be strong and to prevail. Acting upon Emerson s call for self reliance, Thoreau went to Walden
Lake in Concord, Massachusetts to learn to lead an independent life. It was an experiment, as he said,
to lead a life without materialistic possessions, people, society and the government and his initial
intentions to live isolated was development of his own spirit and soul.

Chronic Illness Of The American Population
A child is not their disease, neither is their family. However, it is often difficult for them to disconnect
their self from the detrimental effects of it. In spite of the fact that the majority of the American
population appears quite healthy, over 32 million children are currently suffering from a chronic
illness. According to njhealth.org, chronic illness is an illness that may last throughout a person s life,
although the frequency and severity of symptoms can change. Nearly 43% of American children are
currently afflicted with at least 1 of many chronic ailments ranging from diabetes to cancer. Many of
these children may never return to their precedent state of well being; physically, emotionally, socially,
and psychologically. During such horrific times as these it is important to remember that the children
are not the only ones suffering; their family is as well. Children who are physically ill have a tendency
to feel more psychological distress than those who are not. A decrease in ones physical health can lead
to and increased risk of depression, hopelessness, helplessness and anger. Social and relationship
issues that are extremely common amongst patients who are ill also cause an increase in these
emotions. Disease has the ability to ravage the self and outside relationships. It is especially important
during times such as these to remember that ones physical and emotional health is in correlation to one
another. Your body reciprocates to the way you feel,

Mexico Is The Second Largest Economy Of Latin America Essay
According to the World Bank (2016), Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America (Iliff,
2016). Mexico is one of the largest auto producers and exporters. Mexico, produced 3.4 million
vehicles in 2015, raking seventh largest vehicle producer in the world and first in Latin America
(Administration, I. T. (2016). Automotive manufacturing is growing, and large automotive companies
such as Nissan, Mazda, Volkswagen, and GM, who have plants already established in Mexico, are
now planning to expand their facilities. Half of the cars sold in Mexico are made there, and the other
half is imported (Iliff, 2016). The business cultural environment in Mexico consists of families driving
small old 1990 s pick up trucks. In Mexico, owning a pick up means a lot, because this type of cars are
used for family, affordability, durability, efficiency, and convenience. Some include Nissan King Cab,
Ford F 150, and Chevy Cheyenne and Silverado. As of 2015, Mexico has broken a new record of new
vehicle sales of 1.38 million units, a 19% gain since 2014 and decreased used vehicles sales import of
180,000 from 1.6 million. The future consumption is expected to increase by 500,000 units and could
reach up 2 millions units (Iliff, 2016). Mexico had freely imported used vehicles from the United
States, and due to that, there was a large demand for used cars. The industry officials argue, A crush of

Factors That Affect The Human Body
The term lipid refers to a broad category of molecules, which serve a wide range of purposes in
nature. Lipids tend to be hydrophobic in nature but there are also lipids that are amphiphilic as well. It
is this characteristic that allows these group of structures to serve a range of functions. In the human
body there some important lipids include glycerolipids, glycerophospholipids, and sterols, and
sphingolipids. Glycolipids are important as they serve as the body s way of storing energy.
Glycerphospholipids are important as they make up the structure of cell membranes.1 Sterols are
important because they are necessary for membrane rigidity and used as hormones and means of
signaling in the body. Sphingolipids, particularly Sphingomyelin are another group of lipids that serve
an important part of cells structure as they are found in plasma membranes of myelin sheaths.1 With
this in mind, lipids are regulated and errors in the mechanism of storage and degradation can have a
negative effect on the body. Various pathways that help build, store and breakdown the different lipids
are regulated through enzymatic activity. When these enzymes are altered or deficient, various
problems can develop and lead to serious diseases. Lysosomal Storage Diseases are one of the main
disease states associated with lipid storage malfunctions, as there are various enzymes that are
involved in lysosomal degradation pathway.1 In this specific pathway, the loss of function through
mutation or

A Chapel By William Blake Analysis Essay
Blake starts the poem with an almost idyllic or nostalgic atmosphere; he uses rhyme s that contains a
very long E sound, which forces the reader to smile for proper pronunciation. The speaker is visiting
the garden of his youth, which he realizes has been occupied by briars and tombstones; symbolizing
death. The once open, green piece of land where he used to play, has been covered, and on it, a chapel
has been erected in the middle of its space. The narrator s dismay cannot be fully recognized as the
poem starts; the building of the chapel does not imply any specific disapproval, especially because the
line, And saw what I never had seen, may be taken positively at first read. However, A Chapel was
built in the midst Where I used to play on the green, hints at a more despondent feeling; the narrator is
realizing that the field has been robbed of its innocence, which effectively begins to present the chapel
as evil. The Chapel, in comparison to the garden, is completely unnatural; its shape is triangular and
squarish, making it almost forced and artificial in its place on the natural field. In this way, Blake
successfully conveys his antipathy towards the church and organized religion; he is presenting its
position in the garden as one of complete irregularity, sadness, and gloom. Thinking of the garden of
love in the biblical sense, it very much represents the Garden of Eden; where Adam and Eve once
lived in innocence, without the guilt of love. Thinking of Blake s

Background
There were more than 1,000,000 total hip and knee replacements in the United States in 2010.1
Prosthetic joint infections (PJIs) are a rare complication of joint replacements, estimated to be less
than 2% of cases, but result in significant morbidity and increased healthcare costs.2 Frequently, PJI
requires removal of the prosthesis and a prolonged course of IV antibiotics. It has been estimated that
the cost of one PJI is approximately $100,000 after a hip arthroplasty and $60,000 after a knee
arthroplasty.2 Perioperative prophylactic antibiotics for total joint replacements have been proven to
reduce rates of surgical site infections.2 3 It is recommended that prophylactic antibiotics are
administered within one hour prior to surgical incision and are discontinued within 24 hours following
the end of surgery.4 First generation cephalosporins, such as cefazolin, are the agents most commonly
utilized for antimicrobial prophylaxis in joint replacement procedures.2,5 Vancomycin may be used in
addition to a first generation cephalosporin in institutions considered to have a high rate of methicillin
resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) surgical site infections. 2 If there is local data to suggest

Blood Pressure, The Pressure Of Blood
Blood pressure, the pressure of blood in the circulatory system, is a vital aspect to the human body in
order to maintain homeostasis. Many Americans are not aware of the seriousness of having high blood
pressure. High blood pressure is called Hypertension, which can be a silent killer if untreated. There
are many causes of Hypertension, including diet, age and race. Doctors now are making classifications
of pre hypertensive, which can help patients maintain their health and possibly avoid hypertension, if
they follow the advice of their physician. Americans should eliminate fatty foods from their diet, be
mindful of their age and race as they may become prone to Hypertension, which can lead to heart
damage, heart disease, congestive heart failure, stroke and maybe death if untreated.
It is important to know what to do if one s blood pressure approaches the extremes, as it can be a sign
of a serious health problem. Knowing what the norm is for systolic and diastolic pressure can help

The strategic process for any organization begins with the mission of the organization and the business
model that management will utilize to achieve the desired goals. For Papa John s, the business model
has included franchise ownership and simplistic, yet effective items that keep the consumer engaged
with the organization, lending to customer loyalty. Papa John s prides itself on the usage of top quality
ingredients and utilizing the specific item menu so that the consumer can begin to develop an affinity
for these products and not to overload the consumer with choices that lose its individualized

Bernie Madoff Chapter Summaries
This book talks about how Bernie Madoff was a liar and a cheat to American society where people got
used betrayed and lied to because of him in belief they were going to becoming wealthy. Madoff was
the world s biggest thief that stole millions from people and destroyed numerous lives. He made
people believe they were going to get rich quick and that was his incentive on getting people to
participate in his schemes. The book reports how this crook used his legal business as a broker dealer
and his standing as an innovative creator of Nasdaq to attract investors and avoid harsh scrutiny from
the Securities and Exchange Commission. It described how he parlayed the reputations of a few
valued and respected investors and associates into large followings in high class communities like the
Upper East Side of Manhattan and Palm Beach, and how he used feeder funds, which drove clients
money to him, to extend his global reach. Some of Madoff s victims include faces of Hollywood and
the New York power elite. Kirtzman says Bernie Madoff had an appetite for risk and a concerning
superficial belief that he was invincible to consequences. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How could they know that their fortunes didn t exist, and never had? How could they know that,
instead of Bernie fueling their extravagant lifestyle, they had been fueling his? (Kirtzman, 5). No one
was asking how Madoff or his minions would bankroll the returns they were guaranteeing. No one
seemed to mind that there was scant paperwork to go with his orders, or question why receipts were
being written on scraps of paper. No one was putting these pieces together and questioning whether
trades were being made at all. (Kirtzman, 51). These quotes from the book depict how smart educated
individuals could be so naive to his schemes. It goes to show how truly brilliant he

Capsim Project Paper
Mkt 350 In a classroom far, far away, four people were thrust into a group. Their goal was to succeed
in the game known as Capsim. They called themselves Digby 2. This is the real life story of their
friendship, challenges, and accomplishments as they worked their way to the top of the game. On a
more serious note, our group took Capsim very seriously. In the beginning we were all confused as to
how the game worked and where to begin. We looked at the various tutorials and the booklet to try
and make some sense of it. Once we had some understanding, we tried to develop our strategy. In the
first few rounds we understood it was important to have our company funded through stocks and long
term debt. We issued stock the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other than this, we didn t really have any problems with the game or with our group members. Along
with capacity, we also made it a focus to limit the amount of overtime and second shift workers. This
kept our costs down and our profit margin wider. We paid attention to our inventory on hand and made
sure to not schedule more production than was needed. Towards the later rounds, we really seemed to
grasp the idea of the game, which can be seen in our large increase in profitability. In the Finance
portion, we borrowed money in the first five weeks to pay off our current debt. As the game got into
the later rounds we began paying off our current and long term debt because our profits were
increasing at a higher rate. Overall, we believe that our group had a decent understanding of the
concepts as we finished with high market share and profits. Our group took time to meet every week
to discuss our strategy for Capsim. We met on Mondays, usually for an hour or so to discuss the task
at hand. We also met on Wednesdays if there was doubt in our decisions from Monday or if one of our
group members could not make it. Our group chose to discuss the game as a whole, rather than
sectioning it up to make sure that everyone was on the same page. We didn t have any conflicts in our
decisions and actually got along very well. Overall as a group we thought Capsim had its advantages
and disadvantages. We did learn a lot about the

The Best Way Of Successfully Acting A Part
Scottish writer Arthur Conan Doyle stated, The best way of successfully acting a part is to be it.
Although this quote can be linked to all aspects of human life, it can be specifically correlated to
gaining a profession. In other words, to gain a profession such as a doctor, nurse, surgeon, military
medic, etc, a person must act the part. Yet, to act the part, people contemplating mastering one of these
careers needs the appropriate tools and technology to gain experience. Seeing that nobody would be
willing to allow a medical student to butcher them by practicing various operations and medical
procedures, there are now technologies which simulate real life people and situations without
involving actual people. This is called simulation technology. Simulation technology is an amazing
innovation, specifically within the medical field, because it has been proven useful for many years, it
aids in learning for adult education, there is a wide variety of different simulation technologies and
uses of those technologies, and it helps create a safe, cruelty free, and accurate environment for
medical students to practice their skills.
Definition
In order to understand the history of simulation technology, it is important to first understand what
simulation means. According to the Meriam Webster Dictionary (2004), simulation is defined as,
something that is made to look, feel, or behave like something else especially so that it can be studied
or used to train people.

Essay On Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable bowel syndrome, as we refer to IBS , is a syndrome that affects many of us, including me,
and is often a chronic condition. IBS, also known as spastic colon, is a discomfort of the bowels which
generally includes abdominal pain, stomach cramps, diarrhea and/or constipation, bloating, nausea and
gas, but scientists do not know the real cause. In some cases, it can be misleading in thinking it is IBS
when in reality it could be something else since they don t even know what really causes IBS. At times
the symptoms are worse than others and sometimes they completely vanish for a period of time. I can
relate to this since, supposedly , I was diagnosed with IBS after having many tests done which came
back normal. Therefore IBS is diagnosed only after other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each person and conditions are different and we need to understand their problem in order to help
them with their specific needs. IBS is a hard to condition to diagnose, this is why patients need to
understand how their body works in order to learn how to live with IBS. Experts claim that there is no
cure for IBS, but generally it is a controllable condition if the patient follows the right diet, exercise,
stress management and in severe cases medical intervention is necessary.
As a patient living with IBS, I have learned to understand my body and what kind of diet to follow in
order to control my symptoms, the same way I will instruct patients to learn how their bodies work,
how they react to certain foods and to learn how to manage food intake in order to maintain a healthy
and manageable lifestyle, but most important is always to consult with your physician in order to rule
out all other medical conditions. IBS can be difficult to life with, but with the right care, nutrition and
medical intervention, a fulfilling life can be

Evidence-Based Training for Physical Therapists
Strategies to facilitate the implementation of evidence based physical therapy should emphasis on
amending the barriers known in previous studies and confirmed in the future study. Certain solutions
may be easy, such as improving access to journals, providing easily understandable summaries and
training therapists in searching and appraisal (Iles Davidson 2006).
A current systematic review (Coomarasamy Khan 2005) recommends that clinically integrated
evidence based practice training is more effective than training alone. Education should be designed
towards proficient use of online resources, aiming sources of pre appraised literature (Iles Davidson
2006).
Physical therapists must regularly involve in self reflection and appraisal to be clear about the nature
and contribution of their expertise and decisions. This practice encompasses an acknowledgement of
practice preferences and behaviors that have developed throughout the years, knowledge gaps that
benefited from further training or education, enable the changing barriers in their approach to client
management (Jewell 2011). For the moment, evidence must be located and evaluated and its findings
interpreted into expressive information that all spouses in the decision making process can appreciate
(American Physical Therapy Association 2001). This incorporation process may be emphasizing
minimized bias on high quality evidence. Subsequently, both clinicians and clients increase the
subjectivity in their decision

Essay Hedda Gabler
TITLE : People may argue that George, Eilert, and Judge Brack are responsible for Hedda s death, but
in reality it is the fault of Hedda s society.
I ve chosen this statement for several reasons. Ibsen s character, Hedda Gabler, represents the women
of the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Hedda stands the issues of self worth and the deflated value
that each woman places upon her own importance as a result of male dominance.
We can see this in the play, as we read we learn more about the character of Hedda Gabler. She is the
daughter of a General who expected a life if glamour and wealth and rebels against the boredom of a
dull, narrow existence by vindictively scheming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hedda is a powerful woman, who on the surface appeared to be confined by a dress, imprisoned in
man s house, and smothered by a male dominated society. Hedda was a calculating bitch who dared
(quite shrewdly) to cross over her set in stone boundaries , manipulate others, and stand back and
watch others lives be destroyed as a result. But when she is backed into a corner by the new creative
couple (George and Thea) and Judge Brack, she takes the final power into her own hand. The irony is
that the power is her late father s pistol.
In the play, we can also sense how woman felt during the times of patriarchy. Hedda is an
extraordinary and very complex character but at the same time is fairly simple to understand. Her evil
doings are somewhat erased from our minds as we justify them, we feel pity towards Hedda because
of the pitiful life she is trapped in, the distorted views on life that Hedda possesses come to a climax
toward the end and we understand a bit more about her character. However, just as we begin to
understand her actions and feel pity towards her instead of hate we sadly discover her death at the end.
How tragic is her death when it was the ultimate control of a destiny that she so strongly desired?
The issues of greed have a stronghold in myriad literary pieces, effectively demonstrating the value
humanity places upon materialistic commodities. Money is , indeed,

Brief Biography of Berenice Abbott
Photography can never grow up if it imitates some other medium. It has to walk alone; it has to be
itself. Berenice Abbott.
An American photographer best known for black and white photography of New York, Berenice
Abbott believed a photograph are special and unique. It cannot be copied or mimic others. A
photograph will represent the historical picture of the past. The historical past or memories of the
photograph usually have a very meaningful and emotional story behind it. A photograph has its own
significant meaning, which communicates through the details of the photo.
The photograph on the left that I have found is Migrant Mother, taken by Dorothea Lange in 1936. In
1935, Lange and her husband, Paul Taylor, was transfer to the Resettlement Administrations, one of
Roosevelt s New Deal programs designed to help the country recovers from depression. She began
working as a photographer and took snapshots of events that happened after the depression. The
caption for this piece of photograph is title as Migrant Mother, which will give away a hint of what the
photograph is about. People would start to have an assumption that it is a woman who is migrating to
another place with her children. What kinds of assumption would you make by observing the
photograph of a mother and two lovely sons with their face turn away? In most cases, when people
first look at this photograph, they will interpret that they are poor. However, they will not know the
true meaning behind

Alden Nowlan The Glass Roses
Discuss the idea(s) developed by the text creator in your chosen text about the role adversity plays in
shaping an individual s identity.
In the short story The Glass Roses by Alden Nowlan. Nowlan portrays the idea that adversity is part of
our lives, and this adversity shapes us as individuals. But in the face of adversity an individual must
either strive to fulfill their individual self interests and ideas or abandon them to conform to authority.
Nowlan suggests this idea through the character, Stephen and his struggle to conform to authority or
pursue his ideas which suggests that humans often bring about changes to themselves in order to adapt
to the environment they live in.
Initially, the reader is provided with a brief description ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

clutch, and he can never idealize his own independence. The weather also helps the reader understand
the pressure that Stephen is faced with; both literally and physically The world was a maelstrom of
darkness and wind (Nowlan Pg__). This further reinforces Stephens s unclear confused mind, and the
harshness of his father s expectations. The wind struck his back like an alder switch (Nowlan Pg__).
The shadowing of how Stephen feels the confusion and coldness he faces. The wind howled until
Stephen expected it to wrench the roof from the camp (Nowlan Pg__). Basically Stephens world was
collapsing on him and his father s disappointment was overpowering. The wind hurled pellets of
frozen snow against his face (Nowlan Pg__). The adversity he faces, weather to be submissive to his
father or to pursue his dreams. Through repetition and imagery, Nowlan emphasizes the effect that the
weather and his father has on Stephen. After the friendly talks that Leka has had with him, Stephen
was mislead by the Polack into think he was finally man. He was no little boy to be cowed into
obedience (Nowlan Pg__). He believes he is now a man, and won t be cowed into obedience. He
believes that he has finally satisfied his father. This is later juxtaposed again, as later Stephen only

The Violation Of Human Rights Equality
Imagine being in another persons shoes that may not have it as easy as others. Some people do not get
the same respect as others just because of the way they look. This is an example of a human rights
violation. An human right violation is when a right is being abused in such a way that it effects how
some people live their life. It is hard to even think about that this is going on in American today. It is a
big problem in today s society, and many are speaking out about it. This human rights violation is the
result of racial inequality in America, and many are trying to stop it by protesting, starting movements,
and kneeling of the national anthem.
Many people have freedom, which comes with rights. Some important rights in the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights that relate to Racial inequality are articles two and three. Article two
states, Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedom set forth in this declaration, without
distinction of any kind, such as race... (Library). This shows that everyone of any color has the same
rights as others. This human right is being violated because many people of color are not being treated
equally. Another human rights article that is being violated is article three. This human right is being
violated because [e]veryone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person, but people of other
races are not treated like they have these rights (Library). People of color are starting to stand up to
others who treat them

The Law And Saudi Arabia Employment Law
Employees continue to be a driving force of any nation and have the capability of crystallizing success
or hastening the demise of organizations given the laws surrounding their engagement (Goldman,
Corrada Goldman, 2011). More so, the law influences employee commitment or withdrawal from any
organization in addition to affecting the areas of managerial action. The law, therefore, gives
employers and employees wide latitude to act potentially in their best interest. In both the United
States and Saudi Arabia, there are vital laws that guide employment. Such laws encompass the
significant remedies that focus on addressing grievances and cases of discrimination that may occur in
workplace environments. The foundation of such systems is the constitution that provides the laws and
regulations (Goldman, Corrada Goldman, 2011). The research, therefore, focuses on comparing the
United States employment law and Saudi Arabia employment law.
Employment in the US Employment is the United States remains a vital factor driving the economy of
the nation. Every industry depends on employment to progress and meets set objectives, including the
transportation, wholesale and retail, information, government, manufacturing, healthcare, and

All these are the basic focuses of department. 1.2.2 High Efficiency Irrigation Systems
In crop production the irrigation water is the most critical factor to enhance its productivity and also
effective use of other non water inputs. There is inefficient use of available resources in agriculture
field in Punjab province and on other hand Punjab is encountering severe shortage of irrigation water
from many decades. It is causing much lower agriculture productivity while Punjab is highly
productive resource base of Pakistan. High efficiency irrigation systems (HEIS) resulted in finding
water and nutrient efficient options and most appropriate ways to address various crop production
related issues.
1.2.3 Types of HEIS
There are number of High efficiency irrigation system methods such as bubbler , drip , rain gun, center
pivot , conventional sprinkler all these methods involve use of pipes for carrying water from the
source to points of use. Small emitters in form of droplets are being used in drip or trickle irrigation
which provide water to individual plants without causing waste of water. Bubbler irrigation is as well
similar to trickle irrigation the difference is only that instead of pipe in this form of system we use
micro sprinklers mounted on small spikes. Only in rain gun irrigation system water is being pumped at
high pressure via piped system and then after sprayed over the field.

The Passionate Shepherd to His Love and The Nymph’s Reply...
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love and The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd: A comparison The
Passionate Shepherd to His Love was written by Christopher Marlowe. The poem describes a
shepherd s plea to someone he loves urging them to live with him. Marlowe uses imagery to describe
the scenery around the shepherd and his love. The shepherd tries to convince her how happy they will
be, surrounded by mountain yields and groves in stanza one. Marlowe does not only use imagery in
his poem but he also describes the aroma And a thousand fragrant posies. He creates a tranquil
atmosphere by describing the harmonious sound in the second and third stanzas. Melodious birds sing
madrigals. In the third stanza the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first stanza she says that if everything that the shepherd had said to her was true she would live
with him and be his love. However she tries to bring him to his senses and make him realize that
things do change and nothing is permanent. The flowers do fade and wanton fields To wayward
Winter reckoning yields. In the quotation above she is expressing the idea that when winter comes the
flowers will no longer be in their full bloom. Again in the fourth stanza the nymph tells the shepherd
that beds of roses and posies will not last in winter. Sir Walter Ralegh uses the nymph to make the
point that spring changes to autumn as youth changes to old age and because of this she will not live
with the shepherd. This conveys the impermanence of nature and by implication the impermanence of
love. In comparison with the shepherd s description it is a more brutal but realistic portrayal of love.
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love is an idealistic poem with fairytale images of country life whilst
Sir Walter Ralegh s poem parodies the style of a love letter. The poems are similar in that they are
connected by a question and answer form. Both poems have similar structures as they both have six
stanzas and rhyming couplets. The rhyming couplets stress the last word of the sentence drawing
attention to them helping the reader to understand the poem.

Exploratory Analysis
The purpose of this project is to introduce a possible approach and solution to address inequality in the
United States public education system. As such, it presents evidence to support the claim that
academic outcomes improve when children participate in school readiness programs prior to entering
primary education. Moreover, the emphasis of this project is to present the process for an exploratory
analysis using the constructionist approach and basic framework of the social problem process by Joel

First, the goal of raising public awareness about compulsory Pre K public education generates public

of people who are competent to advocate for change in policy, essentially building human capability.
The process by which this will occur is through resource mobilization acquiring the things necessary
to function as an organization and carry out social movement activities (Massey, 2016, p. 160).
Specifically as it relates to this project, mobilizing researchers, parents, educators and legislators build

policy implementation is to formulate the policy through amending current legislation, or creating new
legislation for mandatory and compulsory Pre K education which leads to the ultimate desired

  • 2. The Impact Of Charlie Chaplin s Impact On Film Throughout this course, we have talked about a lot of different directors, photographers, artists, actors, etc., involved in some of the most foundational and original films during the silent film era. However, the person who really intrigued me the most was, none other than, Charlie Chaplin. In fact, I d like to use this paper to further explore his life and career to gain some perspective on who he was and the steps it took for him to rise to fame. I believe his impact on film throughout his life was extremely influential, and in order to understand that impact, I must start from the beginning. Charles S. Chaplin was born in London, England on April 16th of 1889. His father, Charles Chaplin Sr. and mother, Hannah Harriett (stage name: Lily Harley), each doubled as vocalists and stage performers. Thanks to his parents, Charlie discovered his talents at an early age. He was only five years old when he made his first appearance on stage as a fill in for his mother at a music hall performance. After that, his passion for the performing arts could only grow larger. However, his life took a dramatic turn after his father left and his mother was subsequently put into an asylum, all before the age of ten. Because of this, Charlie and his brother Sydney were set off on a hard journey where they were left to fend for themselves. After two years spent with his half brother in an ill kept orphanage, doing his best to use his mother s contacts to reach some sort of acting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The availability of a system can be expressed through this calculation: (Actual uptime)/(Expected uptime) ×100% The result of this calculation is expressed in terms of the number of 9s (see Table A1). This calculation shows the availability percentage, which is often expressed in number 9 s, and what it means for an organization in terms of possible uptime or downtime. Because of the nature of the business that CASH supports, it is imperative for them to have system availability of close to 99.999% (Tuttle, 2012). In a volatile and technology dependent business climate, downtime, whether it is planned or unplanned would cost a fortune to the company (Quintero, Finnes, Herrera, Shankar, Sigel, 2010, p. 1). Due to the firm s global presence and business operations being held 24 hours and six days per week, the downtime during peak hours could mean the loss of revenue for the firm in terms of millions of dollars per minute. In order to prevent any type of data or connection loss for their clients, a set of High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) must be in place for a firm like CASH (Quintero et al., 2010). Disaster Recovery Disaster Recovery is the process an organization uses to recover access to their software, data, and/or hardware that are needed to resume the performance of normal, critical business functions after the event of either a natural disaster or a disaster caused by humans (Disaster Recovery) The goal for any disaster recovery plan would be ... • 4. Analysis Of The Play Trifles Jacquelyn Tate Mrs.Winningham Engl.1302.N01 December 11, 2017 Trifles: Yes Minnie did it but can you blame her? The play Trifles by Susan Glaspell is an interesting story about a woman named Mrs.Minnie Wright. Mrs. Minnie wright does not actually take part in the scene but is actually the main character throughout the play. The focus of the play is about whether or not Minnie Wright did in fact murder her husband, John Wright or did he commit suicide. Throughout the scene, they bring in people to look over or find evidence that can be used to give testimony at her trial. Mrs. Minnie wright should be found innocent of her husband s death, It does not matter if she had a part in his death or not. The fact that she was not happy because of her husband s attitude towards her tells the audience that she was not happy and was a captive in what was supposed to be her home. Mrs.Minnie Wright does not deserve to be condemned for the crime of murdering of her husband. Mrs.Wright should not be condemned to prison or death because she has already suffered enough although her marriage and needs to have enough room and space to be able to take a breath. There is no concrete evidence that she had a hand in his death. The only evidence that seems to be against her is the fact that she is not acting the way the men want her to. The fact that she is not crying or wailing about the death of her husband seems to upset the men in the play. So much in fact that they seem to ignore ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Today, more and more companies find that cultivating customer loyalty is a key factor to achieve success. • 6. Life s Greatest Lesson Essay Life s Greatest Lesson Morrie Schwartz was an intelligent, interesting senior citizen that touched a lot of people, especially Mitch Albom. Morrie passed on a lot of his knowledge in the last few months of his life, due to amyotrophic lareral sclerosis (ALS). This paper will touch on Morrie s philosophy of life, what he says is important and valuable, and also the struggles and problems of life. I will also compare Morrie s message with other philosophies and also give my opinion about Morrie s theory of human nature and philosophy of life. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many let the culture tell them how to live their life but his philosophy is that you must be your own person and don t let anyone else tell you how to live. Morrie put a lot of emphasis on what is important and valuable in his philosophy of life. One value that he felt very strongly about was that people look at material things to judge others instead of looking on the inside and getting to know them. One quote that supports this statement says how we should not depend on material things to find happiness and love. They were embracing material things and expecting a sort of hug back. But it never works. You can t substitute material things for love or for gentleness or for tenderness or for a sense of comradeship (Albom p. 125). This quote shows one of Morrie s strongest values, it tells how he felt about money and material items. Morrie felt that people look to much at what others have and base their friends on money. You cannot turn to cars, money, or mansions to get love and be liked by others. If someone is your true friend they will love you for who you are and not what you have. Morrie also had ideas on the challenges faced by humans and our human nature. He highlighted some of the struggles and problems faced by most humans. The following quote shows how Morrie felt about people basing their lives on money instead of simple pleasures. Morrie had always been taken with simple pleasures, singing, laughing, dancing. • 7. The Two X Linked Inheritence X Linked Inheritence The topic which is assogned to me is X linked inhertance that is a pattern of inheritance in which the spread of traits differentiate according to the sex of the individual because the genes which are present on the X chromosome have no counterparts on the Y chromosome. The inheritance pattern can be recessive or dominant. The trait firm by a gene on the X chromosome is always expressed in males.Because we know that males only d have one X chrmosome whichever the disease related to it will express itself in the individual. Transmission from father to son does not occur. There are two Kinds of X linked inheritance are X linked dominant inheritance and X linked recessive inheritance. 1 X Linked Recessive Inheritance Now lets us we some breif explanation of X linked recessive inheritance. it is a mode of inheritance in which a mutation in a gene on the X chromosome causes the phenotype to be articulated in males (who are necessarily hemizygous for the gene mutation because they have only one X chromosome) and in females who are homozygous for the gene mutation (i.e., they have a duplicate of the gene mutation on both of their two X chromosomes). X linked inheritance can be expressed as the means that the gene causing the trait or the disorder is present on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes while males have one X and one Y chromosome. Carrier females who contain simply one replica of the mutation do not typically state the phenotype though ... • 8. Cowside Beck Discharge Analysis Introduction Hillslopes are incredibly important as they cover the vast majority of United Kingdoms (UK) upland landscapes. In sight of this, an aim in this project was to analyse the slope profiles of the valley system around Cowside Beck. Not only do hillslope processes have influence on the formation and aesthetics of UK upland areas, fluvial processes also have high significance, leading another aim in this project to be able to ascertain the discharge of Cowside Beck using the velocity area method. Method We used the velocity area method as discharge is calculated by the product of the cross sectional area of the water and its velocity. The discharge of cowside beck was calculated after the initial data collection. To calculate the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A stratified sampling method was chosen due to the changes in the hillslope profiles being localised in areas over small intervals, this method was efficient and representative of the full range of changes. A limitation of this method is that choosing the sections was subjective, in order to decrease the subjectivity and any bias that may be present, the same person chose the sections each time. Time was one of the main constraints in this enquiry therefore we chose to use the clinometer tape method rather than levelling all the way up the hillslope as it was a much simpler approach and took less time to set up and undertake. In some narrow sections the hillslope had a small angle, being almost flat, an explanation for this is the area of Cowside Beck is a popular tourist destination for walkers so footpaths were present. In some of the sample sections, no evidence of mass movement was observed. However in other areas, mass movement is the key to understanding the shape of the hillslope. Numerous sample sites contained terracettes, which is an explanation for the slope having concavities and convexities in close proximity to each other. These landforms are formed by the mass movement process of soil creep. Soil creep is a very slow process that occurs when the underlying rock becomes saturated and in turn causing the soil to become saturated. Often the hillslope is steep so the soil cannot remain stable and gets thrust away from the slope. The material expands due to processes of freezing, heating and water action and the soil slowly creeps downhill due to gravity. The concentration of the terracettes in the earlier sites nearer to the river can be explained by the water table lying some distance up the hillslope so the river lies below the water table. This causes the soil in this area to become more saturated and heavier hence more soil ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They imagine how amazing and fun a life filled with jokes and no rules would be. Not even having to go to school if you did not want to. Except this is not how life works. When a parent dies and the reality sets in, it quickly shows us that life is not all fun and games. The death of a parent is a devastating reality for any young child to bare. This abrupt reality may have long lasting effects as each child has their own unique way of perceiving life s events. In the blink of an eye ones world may be completely twisted around. Another type of death is one by tragedy that can be unexpected and can be more devastating than prolonged death in that it occurs suddenly and without notice. More often than not parents die unexpectedly and their children are left behind in a big scary world with no guidelines on how to survive. In part this is because parents do not expect to die while their child or children are still young. Planning ahead for the future can be difficult for parents emotionally as well as culturally and in some cases even financially. Initially when a parent dies it seems as if they have all the support in the world by people who love them. Most people seem to think that after a year or more children should be well adjusted, happy and have made it through their traumatic loss. A child s perspective may seem different in fact they may feel more alone. A child named Abby had this to say about that topic The pain got worse! Because the initial shock wears off, people stop coming to your house, and you are left....with yourself (Simon, Johnson 49). What most people do not realize is that they still are not okay. No one can completely prepare for the unknown when a child loses a parent no one can predict how each child will grieve. The caretaker of the child who is grieving has the responsibility of trying to understand the child s thoughts or questions. • 11. Henry David Thoreau And Ralph Waldo Emerson On Self... Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson were neighbors and shared a strong bond of friendship. It was Emerson s interest and support that encouraged Thoreau to become an aspiring writer to achieve greatness. Both Emerson and Thoreau were Transcendentalists. The most important belief of Transcendentalists was the idea that people should act upon their own conscious without giving away to what society thinks of their actions. Thoreau is usually referred as the disciple of Emerson, who s known as the father of Transcendentalism but critics have argued about the similarities and differences in their work. The main focus of this paper is to compare the works of two writers, Emerson s essay On Self Reliance and Thoreau s Walden, and show the influence of Emerson on Thoreau s literature. Thoreau was one of the many followers of Emerson but he acted upon his teaching most consistently. Emerson s essay, Self Reliance, had made an abiding impression on Thoreau. Towards the end of his essay, Emerson asserted, It is only as a man puts off all foreign support, and stands alone, that I see him to be strong and to prevail. Acting upon Emerson s call for self reliance, Thoreau went to Walden Lake in Concord, Massachusetts to learn to lead an independent life. It was an experiment, as he said, to lead a life without materialistic possessions, people, society and the government and his initial intentions to live isolated was development of his own spirit and soul. • 13. Chronic Illness Of The American Population A child is not their disease, neither is their family. However, it is often difficult for them to disconnect their self from the detrimental effects of it. In spite of the fact that the majority of the American population appears quite healthy, over 32 million children are currently suffering from a chronic illness. According to njhealth.org, chronic illness is an illness that may last throughout a person s life, although the frequency and severity of symptoms can change. Nearly 43% of American children are currently afflicted with at least 1 of many chronic ailments ranging from diabetes to cancer. Many of these children may never return to their precedent state of well being; physically, emotionally, socially, and psychologically. During such horrific times as these it is important to remember that the children are not the only ones suffering; their family is as well. Children who are physically ill have a tendency to feel more psychological distress than those who are not. A decrease in ones physical health can lead to and increased risk of depression, hopelessness, helplessness and anger. Social and relationship issues that are extremely common amongst patients who are ill also cause an increase in these emotions. Disease has the ability to ravage the self and outside relationships. • 14. Mexico Is The Second Largest Economy Of Latin America Essay According to the World Bank (2016), Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America (Iliff, 2016). Mexico is one of the largest auto producers and exporters. Mexico, produced 3.4 million vehicles in 2015, raking seventh largest vehicle producer in the world and first in Latin America (Administration, I. T. (2016). Automotive manufacturing is growing, and large automotive companies such as Nissan, Mazda, Volkswagen, and GM, who have plants already established in Mexico, are now planning to expand their facilities. Half of the cars sold in Mexico are made there, and the other half is imported (Iliff, 2016). The business cultural environment in Mexico consists of families driving small old 1990 s pick up trucks. In Mexico, owning a pick up means a lot, because this type of cars are used for family, affordability, durability, efficiency, and convenience. Some include Nissan King Cab, Ford F 150, and Chevy Cheyenne and Silverado. As of 2015, Mexico has broken a new record of new vehicle sales of 1.38 million units, a 19% gain since 2014 and decreased used vehicles sales import of 180,000 from 1.6 million. The future consumption is expected to increase by 500,000 units and could reach up 2 millions units (Iliff, 2016). • 15. Factors That Affect The Human Body The term lipid refers to a broad category of molecules, which serve a wide range of purposes in nature. Lipids tend to be hydrophobic in nature but there are also lipids that are amphiphilic as well. It is this characteristic that allows these group of structures to serve a range of functions. In the human body there some important lipids include glycerolipids, glycerophospholipids, and sterols, and sphingolipids. Glycolipids are important as they serve as the body s way of storing energy. Glycerphospholipids are important as they make up the structure of cell membranes.1 Sterols are important because they are necessary for membrane rigidity and used as hormones and means of signaling in the body. Sphingolipids, particularly Sphingomyelin are another group of lipids that serve an important part of cells structure as they are found in plasma membranes of myelin sheaths.1 With this in mind, lipids are regulated and errors in the mechanism of storage and degradation can have a negative effect on the body. Various pathways that help build, store and breakdown the different lipids are regulated through enzymatic activity. When these enzymes are altered or deficient, various problems can develop and lead to serious diseases. Lysosomal Storage Diseases are one of the main disease states associated with lipid storage malfunctions, as there are various enzymes that are involved in lysosomal degradation pathway.1 In this specific pathway, the loss of function through mutation or ... A Chapel By William Blake Analysis Essay Blake starts the poem with an almost idyllic or nostalgic atmosphere; he uses rhyme s that contains a very long E sound, which forces the reader to smile for proper pronunciation. The speaker is visiting the garden of his youth, which he realizes has been occupied by briars and tombstones; symbolizing death. The once open, green piece of land where he used to play, has been covered, and on it, a chapel has been erected in the middle of its space. The narrator s dismay cannot be fully recognized as the poem starts; the building of the chapel does not imply any specific disapproval, especially because the line, And saw what I never had seen, may be taken positively at first read. However, A Chapel was built in the midst Where I used to play on the green, hints at a more despondent feeling; the narrator is realizing that the field has been robbed of its innocence, which effectively begins to present the chapel as evil. The Chapel, in comparison to the garden, is completely unnatural; its shape is triangular and squarish, making it almost forced and artificial in its place on the natural field. In this way, Blake successfully conveys his antipathy towards the church and organized religion; he is presenting its position in the garden as one of complete irregularity, sadness, and gloom. Thinking of the garden of love in the biblical sense, it very much represents the Garden of Eden; where Adam and Eve once lived in innocence, without the guilt of love. Thinking of Blake s ... The NYPD noticed a large amount of stops and decided to turn to RAND, an organization for research and development issues, to determine issues with their stops. RAND researchers conducted three types of analysis including external benchmarking, internal benchmarking, and how the outcome of stops differed from other stops. Although this quote can be linked to all aspects of human life, it can be specifically correlated to gaining a profession. In other words, to gain a profession such as a doctor, nurse, surgeon, military medic, etc, a person must act the part. Yet, to act the part, people contemplating mastering one of these careers needs the appropriate tools and technology to gain experience. Seeing that nobody would be willing to allow a medical student to butcher them by practicing various operations and medical procedures, there are now technologies which simulate real life people and situations without involving actual people. This is called simulation technology. Simulation technology is an amazing innovation, specifically within the medical field, because it has been proven useful for many years, it aids in learning for adult education, there is a wide variety of different simulation technologies and uses of those technologies, and it helps create a safe, cruelty free, and accurate environment for medical students to practice their skills. Hedda stands the issues of self worth and the deflated value that each woman places upon her own importance as a result of male dominance. Hedda was a calculating bitch who dared (quite shrewdly) to cross over her set in stone boundaries , manipulate others, and stand back and watch others lives be destroyed as a result. But when she is backed into a corner by the new creative couple (George and Thea) and Judge Brack, she takes the final power into her own hand. The irony is that the power is her late father s pistol. In the play, we can also sense how woman felt during the times of patriarchy. Hedda is an extraordinary and very complex character but at the same time is fairly simple to understand. Her evil doings are somewhat erased from our minds as we justify them, we feel pity towards Hedda because of the pitiful life she is trapped in, the distorted views on life that Hedda possesses come to a climax toward the end and we understand a bit more about her character. However, just as we begin to understand her actions and feel pity towards her instead of hate we sadly discover her death at the end. In the quotation above she is expressing the idea that when winter comes the flowers will no longer be in their full bloom.
