George Washington A Good President Essay
The United States has been blessed with many great presidents throughout the years. Some had even
helped restore the country when leaders before hadn t helped it succeed. One great president is the 1st
president of the United States, George Washington. George Washington was a great leader of his
country. He was tall, rich, and born into the Virginian Gentry, which was helpful for the national
leadership in his time. His morals are continuously looked upon to follow. He passionately spread the
spirit of the American Revolution where ever he went. He embodies the principles of liberty and
possessed great virtue. Washington did many great things throughout his term in office but the three
most important things he had done was: he won ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Political historian Thomas A. Bailey of Standford stated, Lincoln was undeniably a great man... In
spirit, in humility, in humanity, in magnanimity, in patience, in Christlike spirit, in capacity for growth,
in political instincts, in holding together a discordant political following, in interpreting and leading
public opinion and in seizing with bulldog grip the essential idea of preserving the Union. Lincoln was
a political genius. His greatness shined when he brought the nation through its crisis. Democrats had
hoped that the Kansas Nebraska Act would calm the passions of the slavery issue. Because this had an
opposite effect, Lincoln not only saw this, but crafted a rhetorical concept of both the crisis and a
pathway for getting through it. He made a way for the 13th amendment, getting rid of slavery in the
U.S.. His perseverance and determination not only saved the Union, but insured, in his own words, a
new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish
from the earth. Along with his leadership skills, Lincoln had a great personality and was very
empathetic towards others. People gravitated towards him for his presence. Lincoln sought the good in
those around him. His speeches are considered some of the best speeches in

Chinese Immigration to United States Essay
There were many reasons for the Chinese to come to America. Overcrowding, poverty, war, and other
catastrophes in China were all reasons (push) for traveling to America, as well as effective external
influences. The discovery of gold was a major pull for Chinese peasants in coming to the West Coast.
America s labor needs were the most important external catalyst for immigration. However, there were
very few ways of traveling to the United States. With loans from the Six Companies, Chinese were
able to afford fare to America, and they traveled here to work primarily as gold miners, fishermen, or
agricultural workers; later settling into laundry services and restaurant work (Tsai, China overseas 12
13).
In order to cultivate and develop ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some immigrants had saved money; others sold property, including farm animals, while others
borrowed money from friends or relatives, and some even pledged their families in order to obtain the
loans. The fare, at the lowest estimate, amounted to forty dollars for transportation to San Francisco
and twenty dollars for the return trip During the year 1852 alone, thirty thousand Chinese who
embarked at Hong Kong for San Francisco paid $1,300,000 for the voyage. At the beginning of 1856,
William Speer calculated that all Chinese in California had paid a total of $2,329,580 for the trip (Tsai,
China overseas 13).
Frequently exploited by American capitalists, Chinese laborers were whipped to dig in gold mines,
build railroads, and plant crops. Industry boomed in Western America as the Chinese toiled
ceaselessly. Free immigration was suggested by the United States in the 1868 Burlingame Treaty
because of the need for labor in America and the potential benefits of trading with the Chinese. Labor
was cheap, and many forms of fraud and propaganda were employed to bring Chinese laborers to the
United States. The discovery of gold was also very beneficial in enticing the Chinese (Tsai, China
overseas 13).
The Chinese were perfectly suited for many different jobs at a time when labor was scarce in the West.
California s wheat growers were among the Caucasian employers who hired these

Freud vs Horney
Sigmund Freud s influence on modern day thinking permeates into our lives every day whether or not
we realize it. Although much of his work has either been refuted or revised, his ideas have influenced
an enormous spectrum of psychology and how we view life through our own thoughts. While his
influence is irrefutable, the opinions concerning Freud and his writings vary greatly throughout the
world. Individuals may distinguish the great genius in his groundbreaking theories of psychoanalysis,
or they may reject his writings arguing that he had pushed the envelope too far. Either way, it is safe to
say that his theories still evoke a considerable amount of debate to this day. Out of all of Freud s
theories, however, it can be argued that his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After this recognition of this dissimilarity, the female believes that she is at a great disadvantage and
she resultantly wishes to acquire a penis. The theory also explains that small girls feel sensitive over
the lack of a sex organ equal to the boy s, and holds herself to be inferior on that account. Freud s
describes that three lines of development diverge from penis envy, one leads to sexual inhibition or to
neurosis, the second to a modification in the sense of masculinity complex, and the third to normal
femininity (NLA Ch.5). The usage of this explanation as a way to characterize feminine psychology
has spurred many negative criticisms of Freud s work on female psychology, and most people have
now realized that this his theories were very inaccurate.
Nonetheless, the idea of penis envy becomes extremely important when examining Freud s view on
women for several reasons. Freud based the majority of his work on female sexual and personality
development around penis envy, and Freud held the view that considered penis envy as natural and
universal in all women (Slipp 16). According to Freud, the realization by the little girl that they had no
penis was the defining moment in the realization of a female s sexual identity. In The Feminist Legacy
of Karen Horney, Marcia Westkott comments: In sum, the Freudian concept of penis envy explains all
one needs to understand of female behavior (53). Freud

The Differential Effects of Perspective Taking and Empathy in Negotiations

The article Why It Pays to Get Inside the Head of Your Opponent looks at the effects of two social
competencies in negotiations. Perspective taking and empathy are the two different approaches that
are studied in this article to determine the possible different effects they each have on the outcome of
negotiations.

Basically, creating a positive atmosphere for the other side making willingness to engage in a
negotiation in the first place more likely in setting a foundation for a positive experience expectation
for future negotiations.
In my opinion, the results in different relationship context would have been interesting to study. For
example, looking at the influences of perspective taking and empathy approaches in intimate
relationships.
I would guess that empathy would be rated higher for the success of negotiation in intimate
relationships.
Perspective taking can be motivated by trying to get the upper hand where as empathy is motivated by
a perspective of equality. Perspective taking only perhaps can be misleading in that it may give the
person the impression that their concern is important to the other person because their concerns are
valued which I think essentially means that they are valued. It would be conflicting if someone valued
another but had no regard for another s values regardless if they held the same values.
Empathy, I think, is sincere, genuine honest approach that fosters trust and effects the ability to have
closer relationships. You can t fake empathy. The other person can sense that fakeness. It is that
genuineness that leads to trust that is a base of intimacy. When we are emotionally

What Makes A Good President
In order to have a successful and radiant country, we need to have a president that the United States
people will adore. The president is someone who makes all the important decision topics like school
funds, the military, and decide whether laws get put into motion. There are already certain
requirements that a president must be before becoming a candidate, for example, a president must be
at least thirty five years old and have been born in the US. I would want the president of the United
States to be a loyal, honest, and fair person to ever member of our country whether they are lower,
middle, or higher class.
One very important trait for the president is bravery. A brave president will be willing to fight for our
country when we are under attack from an enemy. If a country declares war on the US then our
president should be intelligent, brave, and have the right mind set on how to defeat the enemy. A
president will have countless times of disapproval from residents of our country; however, he/she
must be brave enough to stand tall about their idea that they feel is best for us and our future. ... Show

Who Is The Double Person In Macbeth
The emotions some people portray, and the personalities they hide inside are often differing from one
another. This can be explained by the insecurity of themselves. An example of an insecure person
would be a bully. A bully disguises themselves as tough and rough being who belittles his/her peers,
but on the inside they are truly weak people. By showing superiority, the bully feels more at ease with
him/her self because they are not the ones being targeted and the attention is not on them. William
Shakespeare s Macbeth creates characters such as Lady Macbeth and Macbeth to possess personality
qualitites of the opposite gender. Critics, however, disagree as to why Shakespeare intended on
creating these kinds of characters with Thomas F. Connolly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

the two sides of the double man are these: one is brave, honorable, strong, inclined to be conventional
and not too bright, while the other is the devious character already described, who places intelligence,
even a dark intelligence, above mere honor (31). In the play it is often seen how Macbeth is consumed
by stress over doing the fair or foul thing, most often than not he chooses to do the wrong thing and is
taken over by his sense of greed. We see a change in character in Macbeth from starting out as an
honorable war hero to a weak, indecisive, and evil person. Connolly goes on further and says that
Lady Macbeth and the witches represent an unconscious motivation. The witches deceive by falsely
making true promises of success, and Lady Macbeth by her denial to seeing that there is moral
consequences. In the beginning Macbeth is the one with the imagination; he quails before the deed
because he can envision it before it occurs. His wife complains of what she calls his weakness because
she is incapable of being appalled by an event which has not yet taken place (32). By seeing how
unaffected Lady Macbeth is by certain situations we see how cold hearted she is and how distant she
is from her feminine side of thinking. Macbeth is more morally conscious in doing the right thing than
Lady Macbeth, but towards the end Macbeth shows a change in character proving the Double Man
theory. Connolly then pin points the moment Macbeth turned dark and evil when he says to Lenox T
was a rough night (Macbeth). He acts completely normal masking his culpability showing that he feels
no remorse for what he had done. Connolly illustrates the insecurity of the characters by explaining
his Double Man theory to show that the characters evolved from beginning to end in a negative

Business Swot Analysis Examples
The basic assumption of a SWOT analysis is that a company must align internal activities with
external realities to be successful (Nadine Pahl, 2007)
Taken from (G. Houben, 1999), they say a business before it starts with strategic management
planning it needs to asses internal and external factors that affect the business in small ways or big.
They need to see what they can utilise to make the factors good for the business and eliminate the bad
factors for the business. A good performance from the business is one where they have interacted and

When Herbert George Wells was an old man, he once told a friend that he wanted G D you all: I told

H.G. Wells made many predictions that turned out to be surprisingly accurate, including the rise of
major cities and suburbs, and the splitting of an atom. Starting in the nineteenth century and
continuing into the twentieth century, Herbert George Wells wrote many books influencing the way
people live and see the world around them. Two of his most remembered works are The Time
Machine, and The War of the Worlds; both of which teach people about the unexpected. In The Time
Machine, Wells wants to warn people not to get too comfortable. Just because things are going well at
the moment, doesn t provide an accurate reading for things that are to come in the future. In The War
of the Worlds, similarly, Wells is trying to prepare people for the unexpected. This is somewhat of an
irony because H.G. Wells s cause of death was an unrecognized liver tumor. Herbert George Wells
tries to convey the idea that people must always be on their toes in life because anything can come and

The Four-Noble Truth Of Suffering
In recent class sessions, we have been able to expand our knowledge about different religions, and
engage in discussions about how their principles impact their followers and the world around them.
While exploring the practice of Buddhism, we were able to learn more about its origins and core
beliefs, and how they can assist one s journey towards true enlightenment. The Buddha taught his
followers about The Four Noble Truths, the first two comprised of the truth of suffering (dukkha) and
the origin of suffering (samudāya). The First Noble Truth, known as the truth of suffering, conveys the
idea that both happiness and sorrow exist in the world, and that any sense of happiness we receive is
subject to change (Zen Philosophy, The Four Noble Truths ). In order to fully understand The First
Noble Truth, one must understand how all conditioned phenomena are pervaded by these three marks:

taught that after examining ourselves, we will realize that the cause of suffering is within (Zen
Philosophy, The Four Noble Truths ). In order to overcome dissatisfaction, one must overcome
excessive and exaggerated forms of desire that only increase our sense of dissatisfaction and
discontentment (Zen Philosophy, The Four Noble Truths ). These strong forms of desire will always

Roosevelt s policies prevented the bottom from falling out of the American economy. He also did his
best to aid the Allies despite congress resistance. After the attack of Pearl Harbor, Franklin knew how
to handle things. He set up a front that met a very high goals of production levels. He knew the only
way the war could be won was by the country who had the most resources.
He also realized that peace after war would only be guaranteed by the great powers of the world so he
created the International Monetary Fund, the United States Nations, and he negotiated peace.
Although Roosevelt is often criticized by some of his decisions he made while in office, he made
many great changes to the American society. If I had to recommend this book to anyone I would

The Obligatory Elements For Establishing Fraudulent...
The following essay will discuss the obligatory elements for establishing fraudulent misrepresentation.
This explicit area of business law is reinforced by precedent cases which encapsulate and clarify the
elements required to establish an argument for damages based on fraudulent misrepresentation. In
light of this, the essay will argue in favour of Bob Wheelie, with support of relevant case law, that the
reckless actions of Mr Spokes constitute the grounds for an action for fraud and damages to the other
party (Bob Wheelie). The sufficient evidence validates that: Mr Spokes held prior knowledge about
the business claiming a false statement of fact; Mr Spokes provided the statement in order to induce
Bob into entering the contract; Mr Spokes employed the use of misrepresentation knowing that such
representation was false and would cause detrimental repercussions; and as a result Bob Wheelie
suffered economic loss. Therefore, these findings indicate that Bob Wheelie can claim damages
against Mr Spokes on the basis of fraudulent misrepresentation.
The statutory prohibition of misleading or deceptive conduct under section 18(1) of the Australian
Consumer Law provides:
A person must not, in trade or commerce, engage in conduct that is misleading or deceptive or is likely
to mislead or deceive.
The grounds of fraudulent misrepresentation were established in the case of Derry v Peek (1889) 14

originated in Northern Australia and researchers think it may have been in use for 40,000 years. There
are carvings on cave walls that depict the didgeridoo in use from the Kakadu people dating back about
1,000 years. (The Didjeridu: From Arnhem Land to the Internet) The first Didgeridoos were made of
eucalyptus trees limbs or Bamboo and that were hollowed out by termites. (McMahon) Aborigine
people living in Northern Australia would clean them out using sticks and cut them to an ideal length.
After cleaning the limbs or bamboo out, hot coals are used to kill any insects. Most didgeridoos range
from three to ten feet long. Length usually plays a role in pitch; if it is longer it has a lower tone and
shorter instruments have a higher pitch. Didgeridoos are usually conical in shape. The Didgeridoo is a
wind instrument or aerophone. It is called this because it uses air to vibrate and create sound within an
instrument. (Hornbostel and Sachs) The player blows air into the smaller end or mouthpiece and often
times people use beeswax to help create a seal with the lips and the instrument. Air pushed through the
lips help the lips to vibrate and create the sound. Today modern didgeridoo s can be made from a
variety of materials. Some are made of glass, metal, cactus or almost any material that can be
hollowed out into a tube.
Because of the irregular shape of the natural instrument

Why The Prices On Your Local Gas Station Has Drop...
Have you wonder why the prices on your local gas station has drop significantly? It came to a point
where a barrel of WTI crude is 3 times cheaper than a barrel it s put in. This all plays into the hands of
government officials and smart investors seeking for greater influence and profits. It mostly comes
from the same roots of the past relationships some country could seek as an economical threat. Which
all the problems come back into the present day doing a lot more damage for future generations to

however it s a step backward towards an environmental friendly sociality and hard oil workers in the

competitors and looking forward to stability in the monopoly. This global phenomenal threat has
repeated itself many times throughout the centuries when it was first discovered. William Tammeus,
writer of the (The Globe and mail) has stated that Oil prices have fallen lately. We include this news
for the benefit of gas stations, which otherwise wouldn t learn of it for six months. This ironic
statement reflects on the oil company s desire to capture more value from the market by simply
delaying its price communications. By all means, there was a saying of maturity in what the

The relationship between the therapist and the client is non directive. The therapist is supportive, non
judgmental and does not work out what the client s problem is; this is the client s work. In other
words, the therapist merely facilitates self actualization by providing a climate in which clients can
freely engage in focused, in depth self exploration (Person Centered Therapy, 2007).
In fact, according to Rogers (1957), the relationship is based on three therapist characteristics or
attitudinal conditions that need to be present in the therapeutic environment:
Congruency (or genuineness): . . .within the relationship (the therapist) is freely and deeply himself,
with his actual experience accurately represented by his awareness of himself . . . and . . .he is what he
actually is, in this moment of time . . .
Unconditional Positive Regard: . . .the extent that the therapist finds himself experiencing a warm
acceptance of each aspect of the client s experience as being a part of that client . . .

The Use of Narratives and Its Effect on Stories
The Use of Narratives and Its Effect on Stories
The use of narrative view are important for an author. It determines how the reader interpret the story
and ultimately understanding the theme. In the work of Hills Like White Elephant Ernest Hemingway
uses third person objective point of view to present the conflict of a young couple over the difficult
decision of whether to have an abortion. In comparison to Hemingway s work, Great Falls by Richard
Ford, tells the story of the breakdown of the parents relation through the eyes of the protagonist
Jackie. The authors of the two short stories use these different points of view, to allow the reader
understand the overall themes of the stories; which are the essence of a good story. ... Show more

Also the hill is long and white (Hemingway, 661 662). The description of the setting suggests the
couple s journey together is bland, empty and the lack of vagueness. Opposite to the station, Jig walks
across the fields of grain and tree along the banks of the Ebro (Hemingway 663). The setting on the
other side of the station, gives the reader a vivid image of life, something that Jig desires. The
conversation between the couple quickly escalates into a heated debate like the dry side of the valley
(Hemingway 664). Instead of directly revealing that conflict is about abortion, Hemingway lets the
reader interpret the intended operation through the setting and the tones of speech from the character.
Furthermore, through the third person narrative, Hemingway establishes the theme of coming of age
and valuing of life. While Hemingway slowly lets the reader in through an indirect presentation of the
issues and their struggle. On the other hand, Ford, by using first person narrative, presents to the
reader the voice of a man going back in time to talk about his past. The setting of the story, as
described by Jackie, is a flat, treeless bench land (Ford, 564), suggesting the isolation and
hopelessness Jackie faces. In addition, the direct way of telling the reader about the standoff draws the
reader closer to the narrator s feeling as if the reader is Jackie standing next to his father; with all the
hopelessness and cluelessness he endures. Furthermore,

Pointless? Yes pointless. Do you remember why we originally went to war with Iraq? Bush told us
they had weapons of mass destruction. Do they? No. Why are we still there? I don t know... do you?
After searching Iraq for weapons and coming up empty handed George Bush decided he did not like
Sadam Hussein and the world would be much safer with out him so he attacks. He did not even have
the support of the European Union. Opposing countries included France, Germany, Russia, Greece,
Belgium and Belarus. He is now trying to make Iraq a democracy, like the American government,
which is not a bad idea at all. There is just way too much opposition from Iraq, they obviously do not
want it, let them have there dictatorship, it is not our problem. This is a useless war now. We do have
to give credit to the many countries that helped us by sending in there own troops to Iraq. Mainly
England, Italy and Poland who sent a combined total of almost 15,000 troops to the 130,000 America
sent. Unfortunately there are casualties.
Casualties include over 1000 American deaths and 7722 wounded American s in Iraq. What about the

were civilians. This is not right for Bush to do. He should not be in Iraq killing that many people

The Impact Of Coaching On Adults With Obesity
The Impact of Coaching on Adults with Obesity
Andrea Bellamy
Liberty University
Abstract
Obesity is a major issue in the United States. Not only is it a risk factor for other chronic diseases such
as hypertension and diabetes, but it also has a significant impact on a person s long term health and
wellness. Research has identified health coaching as an effective intervention for decreasing obesity in
adults. This paper described the purpose/need of health coaching, effective techniques involved in the
coaching process, its impact on adults with obesity.

Health coaching is client oriented and works to establish behavior changes in order to improve the
quality of a person s life (Kivela et al., 2014). This paper will describe the purpose/need of health
coaching, effective techniques involved in the coaching process, and its impact on adults with obesity.
It will also identify how the effectiveness of health coaching on obesity will impact the author s
coaching business, methods of practice, and the author personally.
According to Wong Rieger Rieger (2013), the addition of health coaching is significantly more
effective than health education alone. Health coaching involves motivating clients to identify and
achieve goals that can help them to improve their health and quality of life (Kivela et al., 2014).
Health coaches help clients to identify and overcome obstacles that affect their ability to make positive
health choices (Kivela et al., 2014). Health coaches are not experts, but rather they work together with
their clients to set goals, problem solve and hold the client accountable for their actions (Wong Rieger
Rieger, 2013).
Because of the significant increase of obesity in the United States, researchers believe that behavioral
factors play more of a vital role than biological factors in the development of obesity (Newnham
Kanas, Irwin, Morrow Battram, 2011). This is why an effective health coaching approach combines

the Gothic defined in its genre were tales of many types sword and sandal epics about fearless

It ruminates on the responsibilities of fatherhood and motherhood, in a sense, since Mary Shelley is
the mother of all the text s characters.
The morality of creating a life without the help of the birds and the bees is a troubling thought to
many, an exciting thought for some, and an opportunity for power for the wicked. Mankind has always
been perplexed by how the world and its people came to be. Whether one is a believer, an atheist, or
someone in between, the questions of the universe have a way of robbing the curious of sound sleep.
Shelley writes about how frightful it would be to compete as a human with the Creator of the world.
The weight that this places on the individual both challenges the humanity of that person and the
divine of the Creator. For those who believe in a God, the thought of being in competition with
something that is omnipresent and omnipotent is dumbfounding and foolhardy. Man s relationship
with a higher power has been rocky, to say the least. Many dictators and the like have tried to be gods
themselves by attempting to exterminate whole groups of people, as well as conquer the entirety of
globe. From Victor Frankenstein trying to imbue his own version of life into a body, to Hitler trying to
commit genocide, it seems as if God has a way of winning in the end. It just proves how humans
should not challenge the divine of the Creator, as Victor does, without fully considering the
consequences.

What Is The Success Of The Third Crusade
The Third Crusade is one of the most famous Crusades in history. This essay will examine the success
of this crusade through the perspective of the European force. The Third Crusade was aptly named
because it was the third wave of religious soldiers to travel to the modern day Middle East and wage a
war for the holy city of Jerusalem. There is a certain level of multiple causation that can be gleaned
from the beginnings of this Crusade. First, Richard I had recently become king after his father Henry
of England died in 1188 which may have pushed Richard to do something to prove himself to the
English people. There was also the ceaseless pressure of to reclaim Jerusalem for the Christians,
especially after their recent loss of the city and terrible loss at Hattin. ... Show more content on

depart from England for the Holy Land and with him he brought the single largest army to ever march
in the Crusades, a force of tens of thousands. Although this Crusade succeeded in capturing Acre,
Cyprus, and other outer territories, it failed in their main goal which was to capture Jerusalem for the
Christians. Therefore, when considering their primary objective, the Third Crusade was a

that uses the tools of deception and humor under the category of comedy. As defined by Paul N.
Siegel, A comic play is usually accepted to be a light hearted play with a happy conclusion. Yet,
Shakespearian tragic plays often use deception as a method to damage the role of the hero. In other

Champion speaks of the evolution of this mature romantic comedy and describes this scene as
transformational deception . Much Ado About Nothing begins to place drama and intrigue into

a Comedy of Forgiveness and notes that Beatrice quickly changed her feelings (shows forgiveness)

L.H.O.O.Q (fig 3) is a play on the Mona Lisa, crafted in 1919. It is an excellent example of the
mockery to traditional art. The Mona Lisa in his work L.H.O.O.Q. is printed on a postcard, where then
Duchamp drew a mustache and goatee on the painted woman photographed. He then labeled it
L.H.O.O.Q., and it became an iconic piece of Dada work. If someone who is fluent in the French
language and native to the tongue were to pronounce these letters, it would read Elle a chaud au cul ,
which can translate to She has a hot arse. ( Dada Movement, Artists and Major Works. ) Dada was said
to be very anti art, so by taking a well known traditional piece from 1517 painted by Leonardo Da
Vinci made a huge statement on how Duchamp was throwing away all traditional practices of what art
was before Dada (Flask).
There are also arguments on what the deeper meaning of the title of the work could be, and how
perhaps Duchamp was attempting to make the Mona Lisa even further androgynous (Jack).
Interestingly, Duchamp revised this piece (fig 4) in 1965, and titled it L.H.O.O.Q. Shaved. The
revision of the work is a white sheet of paper with another photograph that seems to be a playing card
of the Mona Lisa, clean shaven placed in the middle of the paper, with the title written underneath.
The MoMA currently has it in their collection, a gift given to the museum from Philip Johnson

Diastolic pressure represents the point of greatest relaxation of the artery wall and is the last regular
beat heard.
Steps in taking blood pressure (B/P):
a. Explain the procedure to the subject.
b. With the arm extended and supported apply the deflated B/P cuff snugly with the arrow pointed
toward the brachial artery.
c. Position the dial so that it is in a straight line of vision for accurate reading.
d. Feel the brachial artery by pressing your fingers on the inner elbow joint.
e. Place the diaphragm of the stethoscope with a minimum of pressure over the brachial artery at the
bend of the elbow.
f. Close air valve on bulb and inflate cuff until the dial registers at approximately 180.
g. Open air valve slowly enough to be able to read the dial accurately at the place where you hear the
first sound.
h. Note position of the hand on the dial when you hear the first regular thumping sound. Consider this
the systolic reading.
i. Take the diastolic reading when you hear the last full regular thumping sound.

Britain s Economic Consequences Of The British Exit From...
Over the last few years, the probability that Britain may leave the EU has grown. Prime Minister of
the United Kingdom David Cameron announced a referendum concerning British membership in the
EU to be held on June 23. Essentially not all the changes, which may occur, can be reduced to the
question of money, since the problem has a strong political context. Still, this essay is mainly focused
on economic aspects of the possible exit. Many experts regard the EU membership as generally
beneficial for the UK; still there are some significant drawbacks. At the same time, there are factors
that limit any possible prediction of the economic consequences of the British exit from the European
Union. Nonetheless, in this work main areas affected by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most studies assume that movement of capital remains free while movement of labour is usually not
explored. In addition there are also some less important considerations which all together lead to
significant ambiguity for any research in this topic.
One of the most visible benefit of the membership in the EU is the absence of trade tariffs between its
members. However non European markets are becoming more important for British producers
because of the stagnation of the Eurozone economy and economic growth of the other region
especially Asian one. Main claim against membership in the EU is that Britain sells much more goods
to the EU than buys. Still this is barely a good reason to leave the Union. Mainly the EU s trade
surplus is accounted by only two counties: Germany and Netherlands, so the UK will not be able to
dictate its terms after exit (Sprinford, Tilford and Whyte, 2014). In addition open market with the EU
counties boosts the UK s economy providing more labour and capital for producers. If Britain
withdrew from full membership some options may take place in trading relations. Researchers mostly
agree that British exit will directly cut the UK s income from trade in the case of any not free trade
agreements. However, the new free trade agreement seems likely to take place.
Fiscal contribution is usually regarded as an

Music By Felix Mendelssohn
It s not really possible for me to discuss the group itself, as they weren t shown as part of the film or
the play. The style of the music was almost entirely incidental music (including a number of vocal
pieces), written by Felix Mendelssohn, although there were also excerpts from his symphonies and
piano pieces. The music was re orchestrated by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Date and time are hard to
place, except for during or slightly before the year 1935. Similarly, I can t locate the place any more
specifically than Warner Bros. Pictures. Going in, I had no expectations, but hoped to learn about the
concert, what the music sounded like, and other things required to write a good report.

  • 2. George Washington A Good President Essay The United States has been blessed with many great presidents throughout the years. Some had even helped restore the country when leaders before hadn t helped it succeed. One great president is the 1st president of the United States, George Washington. George Washington was a great leader of his country. He was tall, rich, and born into the Virginian Gentry, which was helpful for the national leadership in his time. His morals are continuously looked upon to follow. He passionately spread the spirit of the American Revolution where ever he went. He embodies the principles of liberty and possessed great virtue. Washington did many great things throughout his term in office but the three most important things he had done was: he won ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Political historian Thomas A. Bailey of Standford stated, Lincoln was undeniably a great man... In spirit, in humility, in humanity, in magnanimity, in patience, in Christlike spirit, in capacity for growth, in political instincts, in holding together a discordant political following, in interpreting and leading public opinion and in seizing with bulldog grip the essential idea of preserving the Union. Lincoln was a political genius. His greatness shined when he brought the nation through its crisis. Democrats had hoped that the Kansas Nebraska Act would calm the passions of the slavery issue. Because this had an opposite effect, Lincoln not only saw this, but crafted a rhetorical concept of both the crisis and a pathway for getting through it. He made a way for the 13th amendment, getting rid of slavery in the U.S.. His perseverance and determination not only saved the Union, but insured, in his own words, a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. Along with his leadership skills, Lincoln had a great personality and was very empathetic towards others. People gravitated towards him for his presence. Lincoln sought the good in those around him. • 3. Chinese Immigration to United States Essay There were many reasons for the Chinese to come to America. Overcrowding, poverty, war, and other catastrophes in China were all reasons (push) for traveling to America, as well as effective external influences. The discovery of gold was a major pull for Chinese peasants in coming to the West Coast. America s labor needs were the most important external catalyst for immigration. However, there were very few ways of traveling to the United States. With loans from the Six Companies, Chinese were able to afford fare to America, and they traveled here to work primarily as gold miners, fishermen, or agricultural workers; later settling into laundry services and restaurant work (Tsai, China overseas 12 13). In order to cultivate and develop ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some immigrants had saved money; others sold property, including farm animals, while others borrowed money from friends or relatives, and some even pledged their families in order to obtain the loans. The fare, at the lowest estimate, amounted to forty dollars for transportation to San Francisco and twenty dollars for the return trip During the year 1852 alone, thirty thousand Chinese who embarked at Hong Kong for San Francisco paid $1,300,000 for the voyage. At the beginning of 1856, William Speer calculated that all Chinese in California had paid a total of $2,329,580 for the trip (Tsai, China overseas 13). Frequently exploited by American capitalists, Chinese laborers were whipped to dig in gold mines, build railroads, and plant crops. Industry boomed in Western America as the Chinese toiled ceaselessly. Free immigration was suggested by the United States in the 1868 Burlingame Treaty because of the need for labor in America and the potential benefits of trading with the Chinese. Labor was cheap, and many forms of fraud and propaganda were employed to bring Chinese laborers to the United States. The discovery of gold was also very beneficial in enticing the Chinese (Tsai, China overseas 13). The Chinese were perfectly suited for many different jobs at a time when labor was scarce in the West. California s wheat growers were among the Caucasian employers who hired these ... Although much of his work has either been refuted or revised, his ideas have influenced an enormous spectrum of psychology and how we view life through our own thoughts. While his influence is irrefutable, the opinions concerning Freud and his writings vary greatly throughout the world. Individuals may distinguish the great genius in his groundbreaking theories of psychoanalysis, or they may reject his writings arguing that he had pushed the envelope too far. Either way, it is safe to say that his theories still evoke a considerable amount of debate to this day. Out of all of Freud s theories, however, it can be argued that his ... Freud s describes that three lines of development diverge from penis envy, one leads to sexual inhibition or to neurosis, the second to a modification in the sense of masculinity complex, and the third to normal femininity (NLA Ch.5). The usage of this explanation as a way to characterize feminine psychology has spurred many negative criticisms of Freud s work on female psychology, and most people have now realized that this his theories were very inaccurate. Nonetheless, the idea of penis envy becomes extremely important when examining Freud s view on women for several reasons. Freud based the majority of his work on female sexual and personality development around penis envy, and Freud held the view that considered penis envy as natural and universal in all women (Slipp 16). According to Freud, the realization by the little girl that they had no penis was the defining moment in the realization of a female s sexual identity. In The Feminist Legacy of Karen Horney, Marcia Westkott comments: In sum, the Freudian concept of penis envy explains all one needs to understand of female behavior (53). Freud ... • 9. Who Is The Double Person In Macbeth The emotions some people portray, and the personalities they hide inside are often differing from one another. This can be explained by the insecurity of themselves. An example of an insecure person would be a bully. A bully disguises themselves as tough and rough being who belittles his/her peers, but on the inside they are truly weak people. By showing superiority, the bully feels more at ease with him/her self because they are not the ones being targeted and the attention is not on them. William Shakespeare s Macbeth creates characters such as Lady Macbeth and Macbeth to possess personality qualitites of the opposite gender. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... the two sides of the double man are these: one is brave, honorable, strong, inclined to be conventional and not too bright, while the other is the devious character already described, who places intelligence, even a dark intelligence, above mere honor (31). In the play it is often seen how Macbeth is consumed by stress over doing the fair or foul thing, most often than not he chooses to do the wrong thing and is taken over by his sense of greed. We see a change in character in Macbeth from starting out as an honorable war hero to a weak, indecisive, and evil person. Connolly goes on further and says that Lady Macbeth and the witches represent an unconscious motivation. The witches deceive by falsely making true promises of success, and Lady Macbeth by her denial to seeing that there is moral consequences. In the beginning Macbeth is the one with the imagination; he quails before the deed because he can envision it before it occurs. His wife complains of what she calls his weakness because she is incapable of being appalled by an event which has not yet taken place (32). By seeing how unaffected Lady Macbeth is by certain situations we see how cold hearted she is and how distant she is from her feminine side of thinking. Macbeth is more morally conscious in doing the right thing than Lady Macbeth, but towards the end Macbeth shows a change in character proving the Double Man theory. Connolly then pin points the moment Macbeth turned dark and evil when he says to Lenox T was a rough night (Macbeth). He acts completely normal masking his culpability showing that he feels no remorse for what he had done. Connolly illustrates the insecurity of the characters by explaining his Double Man theory to show that the characters evolved from beginning to end in a negative ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This explicit area of business law is reinforced by precedent cases which encapsulate and clarify the elements required to establish an argument for damages based on fraudulent misrepresentation. In light of this, the essay will argue in favour of Bob Wheelie, with support of relevant case law, that the reckless actions of Mr Spokes constitute the grounds for an action for fraud and damages to the other party (Bob Wheelie). The sufficient evidence validates that: Mr Spokes held prior knowledge about the business claiming a false statement of fact; Mr Spokes provided the statement in order to induce Bob into entering the contract; Mr Spokes employed the use of misrepresentation knowing that such representation was false and would cause detrimental repercussions; and as a result Bob Wheelie suffered economic loss. Therefore, these findings indicate that Bob Wheelie can claim damages against Mr Spokes on the basis of fraudulent misrepresentation. The statutory prohibition of misleading or deceptive conduct under section 18(1) of the Australian Consumer Law provides: A person must not, in trade or commerce, engage in conduct that is misleading or deceptive or is likely to mislead or deceive. It is thought to have originated in Northern Australia and researchers think it may have been in use for 40,000 years. There are carvings on cave walls that depict the didgeridoo in use from the Kakadu people dating back about 1,000 years. (The Didjeridu: From Arnhem Land to the Internet) The first Didgeridoos were made of eucalyptus trees limbs or Bamboo and that were hollowed out by termites. (McMahon) Aborigine people living in Northern Australia would clean them out using sticks and cut them to an ideal length. After cleaning the limbs or bamboo out, hot coals are used to kill any insects. Most didgeridoos range from three to ten feet long. Length usually plays a role in pitch; if it is longer it has a lower tone and shorter instruments have a higher pitch. Didgeridoos are usually conical in shape. The Didgeridoo is a wind instrument or aerophone. It is called this because it uses air to vibrate and create sound within an instrument. (Hornbostel and Sachs) The player blows air into the smaller end or mouthpiece and often times people use beeswax to help create a seal with the lips and the instrument. Air pushed through the lips help the lips to vibrate and create the sound. Today modern didgeridoo s can be made from a variety of materials. It determines how the reader interpret the story and ultimately understanding the theme. In the work of Hills Like White Elephant Ernest Hemingway uses third person objective point of view to present the conflict of a young couple over the difficult decision of whether to have an abortion. In comparison to Hemingway s work, Great Falls by Richard Ford, tells the story of the breakdown of the parents relation through the eyes of the protagonist Jackie. The authors of the two short stories use these different points of view, to allow the reader understand the overall themes of the stories; which are the essence of a good story. ... The description of the setting suggests the couple s journey together is bland, empty and the lack of vagueness. Opposite to the station, Jig walks across the fields of grain and tree along the banks of the Ebro (Hemingway 663). The setting on the other side of the station, gives the reader a vivid image of life, something that Jig desires. The conversation between the couple quickly escalates into a heated debate like the dry side of the valley (Hemingway 664). Instead of directly revealing that conflict is about abortion, Hemingway lets the reader interpret the intended operation through the setting and the tones of speech from the character. Furthermore, through the third person narrative, Hemingway establishes the theme of coming of age and valuing of life. While Hemingway slowly lets the reader in through an indirect presentation of the issues and their struggle. On the other hand, Ford, by using first person narrative, presents to the reader the voice of a man going back in time to talk about his past. The setting of the story, as described by Jackie, is a flat, treeless bench land (Ford, 564), suggesting the isolation and hopelessness Jackie faces. In addition, the direct way of telling the reader about the standoff draws the reader closer to the narrator s feeling as if the reader is Jackie standing next to his father; with all the hopelessness and cluelessness he endures. It will also identify how the effectiveness of health coaching on obesity will impact the author s coaching business, methods of practice, and the author personally. Mankind has always been perplexed by how the world and its people came to be. Whether one is a believer, an atheist, or someone in between, the questions of the universe have a way of robbing the curious of sound sleep. Shelley writes about how frightful it would be to compete as a human with the Creator of the world. The weight that this places on the individual both challenges the humanity of that person and the divine of the Creator. For those who believe in a God, the thought of being in competition with something that is omnipresent and omnipotent is dumbfounding and foolhardy. Man s relationship with a higher power has been rocky, to say the least. Many dictators and the like have tried to be gods themselves by attempting to exterminate whole groups of people, as well as conquer the entirety of globe. In addition there are also some less important considerations which all together lead to significant ambiguity for any research in this topic. One of the most visible benefit of the membership in the EU is the absence of trade tariffs between its members. However non European markets are becoming more important for British producers because of the stagnation of the Eurozone economy and economic growth of the other region especially Asian one. Main claim against membership in the EU is that Britain sells much more goods to the EU than buys. Still this is barely a good reason to leave the Union. Mainly the EU s trade surplus is accounted by only two counties: Germany and Netherlands, so the UK will not be able to dictate its terms after exit (Sprinford, Tilford and Whyte, 2014). In addition open market with the EU counties boosts the UK s economy providing more labour and capital for producers. If Britain withdrew from full membership some options may take place in trading relations.
