Gerard Way
Some people say singers can t be heroes, but they re wrong and I will prove it. Gerard Way, lead
singer for My Chemical Romance, was born in April 9th on 1977 in Summit, New Jersey.
Gerard has been strong all his life because he has had struggles like everyone else. In the past, he has
admitted that music turned out to be an effective outlet to deal with his long time battles against
depression, alcoholism, and prescription drug use. He used the music as a way to resolve personal
battles that caused him to create deeply personal songs. Through his struggle he has been sober since
August 2004.

panic attacks, and he gave me medicine so I can be

Causes Of OJ Simpson Murders
The murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman are a mystery to many of us today. These murders
happened on June 12th 1994 in Los Angeles, California. Famous football player and ex husband of
Nicole Brown, OJ Simpson, was taken into custody and was convicted of these murders. He is now
protected under double jeopardy, so if he did commit the murders he cannot be punished for them. The
murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman may never be solved, evidence, trials, and the aftermath
of the case suggest that a suspect may never be found. There was a lot of evidence found against OJ
that suggests he is the one who committed these murders. To begin with, there were hairs consistent
with Simpsons found on Ron s shirt and in a cap found at the Bundy residence(site of the crime).
Second, cotton fibers were found that were consistent with those in the Bronco(his car) that were
found on the glove at the crime scene, and carpet fibers from his car found in a cap at Bundy
residence. Next, there was blood dropped at the Bundy residence that was the same type as OJ s, and
blood found in Simpson s car. There was also blood in the foyer and master bedroom at Simpson s
house as well as blood in Simpson s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

shocked by the fact that they didn t fit. Defense attorney Johnnie Cochran created the phrase, If it

people disagree with this ruling, but there are also people who believe someone else commited these
murders. Although he was a free man he was found liable, or guilty, for the murders in civil court and
had to pay the victims families $33.5 million. In simpler terms, OJ Simpson was found guilty for
murder, but also

Gestational Crates Should Not Be On Factory Farms
Gestational crates should not be on factory farms. Gestational crates limit the pigs movement so much
that the mothers are stuck on there sides when there are pregnant and can not move to eat or go to the
bathroom. Gestational crates should not be on factory farming. In this essay I will talk about how
gestational crates abuse the pigs that are put in them, how the mother pigs are treated on these farms
and how free range farming is better for the animals. I think that gestational crates should not be on
factory farms.
I think that gestational crates should not be on factory farms. I think this because it is not good for the

Public Service Is A High Calling
Public service is a high calling. A calling that certain individuals who are compassionate and
enthusiastic about serving their communities at large are willing to dedicate their profession and skills
to. Although there are many challenges in managing a public organization, great leaders are those who
have taken this opportunity and have inspired their work to be bigger than themselves in hopes to
motivate those around them to do good work. The development of our societies depends on the efforts
of the public sector such as education, environmental services, health and social care, that are
fundamental to peoples lives. Therefore, it is important that an effective leader in the public sector
who is much more than knowing the job and how to manage workloads and staff. There are many
behaviors and traits that have been linked to successful leaders, and more specifically, those who have
dedicated their careers to the public.
Leadership is formally defined as the exercise of authority, whether formal or informal, in directing
and coordinating the work of others (Shafritz, Russell and Borick, 361). However, challenges surfaced
in the public sector such as overcoming political and governmental pressures, inadequate training of
staff, high employee turnover, and possibly weak management skills in lower levels causes front
runners to jump through several more hoops than a leader working in a private organization. That is
why it takes a special individual who exuberates

Green Walls Documentary Summary
What is the purpose of the documentary? The purpose of the documentary was about implementing
green walls and to show people how integrating nature within our infrastructure will improve the
quality of life for humans, nature and our planet. This film was also created to change our perspective
of how we think about reintegrating nature in dense and fully developed communities so that it not
only fits into the functionality of our infrastructure but it also can restore our plants and wildlife.
What is the main message the director wants to get across to the audience? The directors message was
that this is a movement that we all can afford to get behind. It will have nothing but positive
influences on our health, infrastructure and our plant and wild life. There was ... Show more content

I also have some knowledge about rooftop gardens prior to this course and I learned more from earlier
from other documentaries from the previous weeks.
What did you expect to see? I expected to see the film focus more on rooftop gardens or community
gardens. I did not expect to see the whole country so involved in creating green walls and rooftop
gardens all over. I also did not expect to see how much thought went into planning their parks to make
sure that they somehow connect that way wildlife has the ability to move around without obstruction.
What questions did you have in mind about the subject? My only question and concern that I had
throughout the whole film was about how do they control pest? I know that in San Diego County that
anyone who has plants growing on their house or near the roof, they most likely will have rodent
issues. My question is, how can we create green walls or roof gardens in our communities without
having to fight of pest or have to use chemicals to drive them

Abstract The paper presents a theoretical model and a system concept to provide a smart electronic aid
for blind people. The system is intended to provide overall measures Obstacle detrection with the use
of ultrasonic and infrared (IR) sensors ,real time assistance via global positioning system(GPS) and an
Android device to provide ease of use and portability of the stick due to the popularity of android. The
system consists of ultrasonic sensors ,IR sensor, Bluetooth module,Android device with GPS and dual
feedback system auditory as well as vibratory. The aim of the overall system is to provide a low cost
and efficient navigation aid for blind. This paper reports on a study that may help visually impaired
people to walk more confidently. The study hypothesizes that a smart stick that can alert visually
impaired people over obstacles in front and could help them in walking with less accidents. The aim
of the paper is to make a stick that could communicate with the users through voice alert and
vibration, and help them in navigation with the help of and android device containing GPS, hence
named Smart Stick. The development work involves coding and physical installation.

Pros And Cons Of The Good Samaritan Law
Quality of patient care can be affected in various ways, but specifically discussed here is how quality
of patient care is affected via the Good Samaritan law. In Nelson s (2017) article, an off duty RN did
not hesitate to help a person thrown from their car in an accident. The RN did what she could during
the emergency to make the person as comfortable as she could before he died on the scene. The RN
speaks about most people s natural inclination to stop and help if they could in other emergency
situations. Nelson s (2017) article goes on discussing an off duty nurse and other healthcare
professional s dilemma to help or not. All states have a different form of the Good Samaritan law, a
law designed to protect any person who renders aid during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The way a Good Samaritan law is view can adversely affect quality of care of a stranger. If the law
does not require an off duty nurse to help, will they still help based off their own moral and ethical

helping in a later situation. For these reasons speaking with the level of government in charge of
determining her specific states Good Samaritan law and coming up with a better plan that protects
both the stranger helping and the stranger being helped. Maybe that second of hesitancy is good for an
off duty nurse, giving them a split second to determine what they can do for a stranger in an
emergency situation, would they have the skill set needed to provide optimal care, would their
interference be hindering someone who has the best training for the stranger s population. Speaking to

The Impact Of Fashion On The Fashion Industry
In the 21st century, the fashion industry remains prominent as it continues to rise in an era of global
trade. Developing in the late 19th and early 20th century, the fashion industry was on the rise with
newer technologies that stimulated new manufacturing practices and further improved the growth of a
soon to be multibillion dollar global enterprise (Major). Fashion is a an art that conveys human
expression through clothing, in which many individuals are willing to spend money on and experience
whether upscale or simple. Therefore, parts of the fashion industry affect and influence the quantity
and quality of clothing as shown by the many manufacturing processes of both the ready to wear and
haute couture industries, the many types of commercial advertisements and media produced by the
marketing branch, and by the profit margins of different companies within the fashion industry.
It is evident that the quantity and quality of clothing is affected and influenced by the fashion industry
as shown by the many manufacturing processes of the haute couture branch of the fashion industry.
Originating in Europe, haute couture is defined as high sewing, in which clothing is made with
expensive fabrics and is hand tailored by professional artisans skilled in dressmaking, embroidery and
many more (Major). In the mid 19th and the early 20th century, the haute couture branch of fashion
was at its peak with the invention of fashion houses, companies that specialize in high fashion

Essay What Moral and Ethical Obligations do Humans Have to...
The exponential rise in earth s human population since the industrial revolution has put a heightened
pressure on food production word wide. The global population reached approximately 7.2 billion in
2013 (United Nation News Centre, 2013) and consequentially the requirement for eggs and poultry
has also substantially increased (Pluhar, 2010). As a result of this elevated demand for food, there has
been a shift in the way agricultural practices operate to produce the large quantities of meat and eggs
necessary to feed the population. The intensive farming method of animal husbandry has become quite
a controversial issue and caused apprehension amongst many different factions of society. These
concerns relate to how high density farming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aristotle views describe a certain pecking order amongst biotic organisms within the natural world.
This idea of a pecking order is determined by the abilities present in an organism due to its nature.
Aristotle argued that despite plants, animals and humans all being capable of subsistence and
flourishing, only humans and animals have the capacity for cognizance. Aristotle therefore reasoned
that plants are at the bottom of the pecking order and therefore there purpose is to serve the needs of
those higher in the hierarchy. As part of this ideology he theorised that since humans have the
endowment of conscious reasoning whilst animals are solely reliant upon instincts, human beings are
consequentially superior to non human animals. Aristotle claimed therefore that it seemed justifiable
that the purpose of animals is to serve the needs of humans (Regan and Singer, 1989).
Others share similar thoughts to Aristotle and contend that moral obligations are determined by the
capabilities of an organism. Immanuel Kant developed a highly influential moral theory which
suggested that a being must be autonomous in order for its interests to count in the moral assessment
of actions (Kant, 1956). He also subscribed to the belief that it was the attributes which human beings
possess and animals don t have that rationalises awarding human beings a distinct moral status while
withholding any moral status at all from animals. These principals underpin the view that humans

Booker T. Washington Essay examples
Booker T. Washington
At a time when the Black community is being afforded a free status, but not one of equality, many
leaders arise out of the woodwork to appeal to the white governing body for social equality. The
transition from the ninetieth century to the twentieth century gives birth to two of these leaders,
Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois. These two men are both working to achieve a common
goal, but the roads on which they re each traveling to get there differ significantly. Booker T.
Washington and W.E.B. Du
Bois offer different strategies for dealing with the problems of poverty and discrimination facing
Black Americans. Booker T. Washington s gradualism stance gives him wide spread appeal among

The opposing approaches of Washington and Du Bois are far from unnoticeable, and receive
recognition from both sides. Whether or not these two dynamic leaders are intentionally attacking
each other, one can only speculate that the vast differences in methodology creates tension within the
arena. In Washington s Atlanta Compromise
Address (D) he comments that the wisest among my race understand that the agitation of questions of
social equality is the extremist folly, and that progress in the enjoyment of all the privileges that will
come to us must be the result of severe and constant struggle rather than of artificial forcing. (D) This
statement, delivered at a time when Blacks and whites have separate water fountains(J), almost one
hundred and forty Black people were lynched(C), and forty five to sixty percent of Blacks over the
age of nine are illiterate(B), directly condemns the blunt complaining with which Du Bois is aligning
himself.
Return criticism is illustrated in The Souls of Black Folk, written by Du Bois in 1903.
The way for a people to gain respect is not by continually belittling and ridiculing themselves; that, on
the contrary, Negroes must insist continually, in season and out of season (E) as written by Du Bois
seems to be a direct response to the 1895 infamous address of Washington. With Jim Crow laws in
effect, Du Bois position seems to be the more fitting and proper of the two. The ideology of

Horus is obviously another anthropomorphized figure. Horus life is a long list of myths that are
strongly connected with the sun s movement in the sky. Horus being known as the solar messiah (Or
light) had an enemy known as Set. Set was represented the symbolism of the dark (Or night). Horus
and Set would battle every day. Horus would defeat Set every morning while Set would overthrow
Horus in the evening sending him into the underworld. Dark vs. light (Good vs. evil) has been one of
the most used mythological duals ever known to man and is still used to this day on many levels.
Horus was born on December 25th of the virgin Isis (Mary). His birth was accompanied by the star in
the east, three kings followed to locate and adorn the newborn savior. He was a teacher at the age of
twelve, at the age of 30 he was baptized by the figure known as Adup, beginning his ministry. He had
12 disciples he traveled with while performing miracles such as healing the sick and walking on water.
Horus was given many names such as the Truth, the Light, God s Anointed Son, the Good Shepherd,
and the Lamb Of God. After he was betrayed by Typhon he was crucified on the cross for 3 days and
then resurrected. Sound familiar? This story spans onto many other infamous gods of many other
different cultures such as Attis (Frigia, Greece) 1200 B.C, Krishna (India) 900 B.C, Dionysus (Greece)
500 B.C, Mithra (Persia) 1200 B.C. The list of these different god s with same story goes on, and on,
and on, leading us to the most recent solar messiah today, the Truth, the Light, God s Anointed Son,
the Good Shepherd, God s Sun, the Light Of The World, the Savior Of Humankind... Jesus

An increment in college drop out rates with the inability to do well in courses has been on the

that some people believe that intelligence is more of an entity while others think of it as incremental .
In 1997 just over 54 percent of students who enrolled in 4 year colleges earned their degree six years

Bowen, President of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, has heightened his consideration on this
matter with his data driven studies on college athletes, college access and affirmative action for the
poor that has kindled debate nationwide in recent years. Patrick Callan, President, of the National

Load Optimum Mpls Routing With Routers And Links
Load Optimum MPLS Routing with Routers and Links (N+M)
ABSTRACT:
MPLS is now a days the most important thing in the intra domain routing (i.e. routing in own domain
or network). The main advantage of MPLS is the flexibility it offers towards traffic engineering ex. To
support higher demand without overloading any links. Most of the major vendors are now offering
MPLS routers and many ISPs are deploying MPLS in their IP backbone as well as in ATMs and frame
relays. Because of this increase in transition to MPLS we are required to increase our knowledge
towards the importance and limitations of MPLS.

It can provide applications like Traffic Engineering, Quality of Service and Virtual Private Networks.
The packets in MPLS are directed through the network based on an assigned label. The label is
associated through the network with an assigned path which allows a higher level of control on the
packets than in packet switched networks. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and
priorities to be assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of
fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of controlling how traffic
flows through ones network so as to optimize resource utilization and network performance [3]. It is
performed by detouring the traffic to paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst
the paths as per the various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state
dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so that they can avoid
the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in short time scale depending on different
metrics calculated both online and offline of the present traffic and the time dependent policies
engineer it based on long time scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the
congestion.
The problem that we face while using previous MPLS routing solutions is that

Disaster Recovery Plan Executive Summary
For an organization to properly and effectively handle a disaster several keys steps must occur, the
first is creating and documenting proper policies and procedures to implement once the disaster
recovery plan is implemented. The second is creating an executive summary of the DR plan that will

Essay on Historical Prison Eras
Throughout the years the way prisons are run has changed. Changes include social roles, informal
behavior norms, and social solidarity. Prison history has three major eras the Big House, the
correctional institution, and the contemporary prison.
In The Big House era criminals were known as convicts and the guards where known as hacks and
they were both supposed to keep distance from each other. To make their time easier in the Big House,
convicts developed their own social roles, informal codes of behaviors, and language. Inmates created
the social role of the real man in which they were loyal and generous and tried to minimize friction

most institutions provide no change in prisoners. Bartollas, 2002 describes the deprivation model as
the prisoners attempt to adapt to the disadvantages imposed by incarceration. The importation model
suggests that the influences that prisoners bring into effect their process of imprisonment. Bartollas
concluded that the integration of the importation and deprivation models was needed to understand the
impact of the prison culture on an inmate.
Lastly the contemporary prison developed more professionalism in their treatment towards inmates,
while some staff members still abuse inmates this behavior is less evident in today s prisons, where
staff on inmate violence was a routine feature of daily life. The support for the inmate codes is also
disappearing in the contemporary prison. The increased number of habitual offenders statutes has led
to the graying of the prison population. A study revealed that inmates that adjusted most successfully
to the prison s environment encountered the most difficulty making the transition from institutional
life to freedom (Bartollas, 2002).

Scrubby Flatwood Background
Sandhill
Sandhill occurs in the uplands on crests and ridges of gently rolling topography. Sandhill is
characterized by an open overstory of widely spaced longleaf pine (Pinus palustris), sparse understory
of fire suppressed deciduous scrub oaks and a diverse groundcover of grasses, forbs and low growing
shrubs. Soil is deep, excessively drained, marine deposited sand of the Lakeland series. Rapid
permeability allows for expeditious aquifer recharge with little to no runoff, however, nutrients are
easily leached, hence soils are generally infertile. In order to maintain open structure, this xeric upland
habitat requires frequent (3 to 5 years), low intensity, growing season fire.

The Causes Of Poverty In The Elizabethan England Era
Life in Elizabethan England was hard. While some people believe that the life was great in that era,
but they are mistaken. The life during Elizabethan England era was very hard because of the poverty
levels being very high, the towns were unclean and their diets were very poor. During the Elizabethan
England era there was an outburst of poverty. Others may say that the poverty was not an issue, but
they are mistaken. The poverty created a big issue for the poor because they looked down upon them
and didn t try to help then so more and more people were becoming broke. Poverty became a
widespread problem during the Elizabethan era, so much so that Parliament was forced to enact laws
aimed at dealing with the country s poor on a number of occasions. Initially, these laws took a harsh
view of the poor and even went so far as to criminalize begging and institute severe punishments for
those who were caught in the act. (Elizabethan Class System.) This shows that so many people were in
debut or below the poverty line that they needed to enforce a law. It was such a bad life that people
who need to get money by begging the act in force it as a crime. While Elizabethan England contained
poverty, it was also full of unclean towns/cities. While some say that their life was easy and
joyful, they are mistaken. Who could find stepping in human poop fun? There was no technology back
then that could flush people s waste into the plumbing system so they had to find somewhere to put it.
They had buckets and baskets that they used as toilets. When a person was done they would just throw
it out the balcony, onto the streets. Since the human waste was just on the ground it would just end up
flowing into their watering system. So not only were they walking in their own waste, they were
drinking it too. If a person is drinking human waste then they are bound to end up with diseases.
Elizabethan Illnesses Bubonic Plague, dysentery and typhoid. (Alchin, L.K., Elizabethan Era) That is
only a couple of the main diseases that went around throughout that area. Also it didn t help that they
had little knowledge to help get rid out these disease. They barely knew how to get rid the common

March For Life In The Media
Media Coverage of The March for Life
Hey, Obama your mama chose life is one of the many chants said during March for Life and even
fewer people chanted it during the march last year due to winter storm Jonas moving across the
Washington D.C. area. The March for Life is an annual peaceful protest on January 22nd, the
anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Adult and youth marchers begin their march at the Washington
Monument and ends at the marchers Representative or Senator s office where they advocate for life

Airbnb And International Relations
1. Introduction
Bill Gates once famously stated: If your business is not on the internet, then your business will be out
of business. This quote exemplifies the theme of the present paper about Global Businesses and
International Relations.
The following research question will be examined throughout the course of this paper: How can
globalization help to expand businesses today? Airbnb will be used as a case study illustrating the
operation of multinational corporations in order to showcase how businesses can expand into foreign
markets quickly and efficiently .
This paper is divided into three parts, which will provide further information to the previously stated
question. At the beginning, the introduction of International Relations and its role on global business
will be discussed. Furthermore, the role of globalization between global actors with a focus on
multinational corporations will be expanded. At the end, Airbnb will be used as an example to show

Homelessness Is A Problem Of Homelessness
Homelessness is a monster. Each day, there are people on the streets suffering from homelessness.
These unsheltered people litter the streets, and plead for help. There are different types of
homelessness, but the most monstrous is chronic. The chronically homeless are left to endure the
hardships of homelessness without hope of an effective solution. Americans disregard all homeless
populations, but the most heart wrenching group that is disregarded is the veterans. The veteran
homelessness problem is the most ominous type of chronic homelessness, but a solution is possible.
Veteran homelessness is a chronic problem in America today, and it is due to the mental state of
veterans and government s failed responses to ending the problem. ... Show more content on

Generally, these are veterans that fought in the Vietnam War, but with more recent wars there is a new
face to veteran homelessness. A shift in demographics is occurring as troops return from operations in
Iraq and Afghanistan... homeless veterans are increasingly younger, female, and heads of households
(Veteran Homelessness). Veteran homelessness chronically affects such a broad group of people that a
solution is imminent. It is no longer the time to allow America s service men to wander the streets
unsheltered. It is time to step up and finally put a stop to veteran homelessness. There are intricate
causes that compound and makes a person considered chronically homeless. There are homeless
veterans that are stuck to live on the streets for reasons that affect non veterans as well. These include
lack of a supportable income, healthcare, and affordable housing. More specifically, there are complex
factors that causes retired service men to be left on the streets. These causes are directly related to
veteran homelessness. The most influential factor that leaves veterans on the streets is the effects of
mental illness and more specifically the effects that post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) plays on the
veteran; more than half of homeless veterans suffer from a serious mental illness (National Coalition
for Homeless Veterans). PTSD is a brain disorder that occurs after someone

If you are a cross country skier looking for a relatively easy tour in the Norwegian mountains, one
area worth considering is the hill country to the west of Espedalen, which is a long valley situated
about 70km to the northwest of the town of Lillehammer.
In the mid nineteenth century, Espedalen was a very busy place, for it was then the world s largest
centre for nickel mining, and hundreds of men worked there. But today few signs of that activity
remain, and the valley is peaceful and empty.
You can reach it by taking a morning train from Oslo airport to Lillehammer and then the afternoon
bus to Espedalen. The bus drops off at each of the three hotels in the valley. For logistical reasons, it s
best to arrange to spend both the first and last nights of your holiday at one of these hotels, because
you will almost certainly want to use their transport at the end of the tour, as we will see. (You might
also want to use their transport at the start of the tour, perhaps to shorten the first day.)

Language Acquisition and Development
It is my pleasure to announce that I have gained quite many theories and knowledge about children s
language acquisition and language development process to analyze the condition of Tom and provide
some personal suggestions for his parents. The following statements are my analysis considering to
the language theories proposed by researchers and a repercussion for my personal experience.
Nature versus Nurture
It was suggested in Chapter 2 that there are two theories regarding the language acquisition, nurture or
nature. Most behaviorists suggested that the child develops language due to nurture, which means that
the environmental exposure is the key to child s language development; whereas most nativists
considered that the child develops language due to nature, and the brain drives development and
children are born with the biology to acquire language.
According to BF Skinner, who developed Operant Conditioning Theory, in his 1957 classic, Verbal
Behavior, which Skinner reports the language is obtained by reinforcing modeling and continuous
practicing. His theory is based on the precondition that a behavior may increase or decrease
determined by what happens after a behavior occurs and thus external forces may modify the
behavior. It has been suggested in Language Arts journal of Michigan that speech instruction is very
fundamental in children s language development. Most of the times, it could be traced that there are
some patterns lied in children s reaction to various

Dealing With Repeat, Criminal Offenders, And The Justice...
Dealing with repeat, criminal offenders, has become a hot topic issue in the corrections community, as
well as the justice system as a whole. Society demands to be protected from the criminal element, and
rightly so, but how do we identify the career criminals, and keep them from harming others? Even
though a small number of career criminals were responsible for the majority of the crimes being
committed in the country, it was not until the mid 1980s that selective incapacitation began to be used
(Mays Winfree, 2009). One of the assumptions, concerning career criminals, is that here is no way to
reform them. These offenders will continually commit criminal acts as long as they are not
incarcerated. To keep these career criminals locked away, many states began passing laws to identify,
and incarcerate them for mandatory lengths of time. By the mid 1980s, and the early 1990s, states
began passing habitual offenders statutes, which in effect, identified repeat offenders in the justice
system, and sentencing them to long, mandatory prison sentences, up to, and including life in prison
without parole (Mays Winfree, 2009). These statutes are known as the three strikes laws. The meaning
behind this is that if an offender, who has been convicted three times for criminal offenses, is
incapable of reforming, and therefore should be incarcerated, and kept away from the rest of society.
In principle, this may sound like a great idea, and a great way to keep society safe,

Love Triangle In The Canterbury Tales
In the Canterbury Tale by Geoffrey Chaucer, born in circa 1340 October 25, 1400, London,
England.Chaucer expresses his beliefs of how should love be through the Knight s Tale and Miller s
Prologue since both presents a love triangle.Chaucer on the stories shows two types of love which had
similarities and differences between the characters and the events of both stories. Geoffrey Chaucer, in
the text Canterbury Tale describes the love triangle by different types of how should be love, and I saw
some similarities compared to now in how people see the love and how they show love to others.
Chaucer maintain that the love triangle is represented by Duke Theseus and John the Carpenter by
being the elderly authority figure because they try to control Emily and Alison,Palamon and Arcite by
Knight s tale, Absolon, and Nicholas by the Miller s tale represent the suitors, they had love at first
sight. Chaucer s purpose for writing this text is to compare two characters that have almost the same
roles in the stories but with other names and becoming a different type of story. This text is significant
to our understanding of love triangle because each one compares how love should be and these stories
have some similarities with now.
Early in the story, Chaucer describes two differences in how should love be as Palamon leaps out from
his hiding place, calls Arcite a traitor, declares himself to be Arcite s mortal foe, and challenges him to
a duel by the knight s tale and Alison and Nicholas form a plan to spend the night together by the
Miller s tale.
What Chaucer is saying is that in the Knight s tale love is represented as a fight between two people as
a courtly love, this means that if you want have the love of a woman you need to fight to have it,
Palamon and Arcite spend dangerous years trying to be near Emilye, they both face off with sword and
shield to fight with hundreds of knights, but in this story Emilye don t choose which one she wants,
Theseus the authority control her and say that the winner would have her, this story represents the
perfect stereotype of perfect warrior and the perfect princess not showing any personalities traits and
in the Miller s tale the characters have specific traits and they

Ultraviolet and Inverse Psoriasis Essay examples
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder, easily identified by its symptoms of white, scaly skin and red
lesions, though not so easily cured or understood. In psoriasis, skin cells mature faster than the body
can shed them, causing a buildup. Although there are many theories as to what the cause of such a
disease might be – genetics, stress, or other triggers – no one is quite sure why the disease occurs, or
what could be a possible way to fully cure it. In this essay we will explore the symptoms, types, and
effects of this condition, and also some of the known treatments. Psoriasis can occur in anyone, but

Even less common than pustular psoriasis is erythrodermic psoriasis. This type is easily noticeable;
the entire body is often covered with a fiery redness. This type also poses severe health risks. It

often occurs on the elbows, knees or trunk. The scalp is also a common place; 50% of patients with
any sort of psoriasis have it on their scalp. There is no known cause for psoriasis, as of yet, but many
potential triggers have been identified. Injury to skin is one of the biggest triggers. This has been
named the Koebner response. Any type of skin injury can set it off, even scratches or vaccinations.
Certain medicines, such as lithium and antimalarials have been known to trigger an outbreak.
Although alcohol abuse doesn t cause the disease, it can greatly aggravate it, causing it to flare up.
Psoriasis is not diagnosed by any blood test. It is done simply by observation. Sometimes, a biopsy

of treatment that should be used. While corticosteroids might work for some, ultraviolet radiation

Even in His Rise to Power, Wang Lung Respected and Loved...
In traditional Chinese culture, there has always been a strong connection with the earth. The earth
gives life and helps to sustain it, and in the end the earth is where you return. For Wang Lung, this was
a concept easily grasped. He loved the land, and even in his rise to power, his connection to it
remained. When he was most at peace, he was working the land. The times he grew restless were
those when he was unable to farm. Often with the gain of monetary wealth, the decline of morality
follows closely behind. This is magnified in the lives of Wang Lung s three sons. The eldest son
becomes obsessed with women and is eager to satisfy the desires of the flesh. For the rich, this is a
common thing. Once you tire of the beautiful maid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Has it ever been more true that money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10)? And it is odd that in a
culture with such a strong sense of duty and honor for their ancestors that as their father was dying
they were planning on how to divide up and sell the land; the land that had given them so much, and
the same that had put them through school and fed and clothed them and was the only thing to remain
when they had nothing else? This was something Wang Lung could not communicate with his sons.
They seemed to think that their wealth would go far beyond the ground from which it came. Maybe
they could not remember the months they spent in the hut, or when they had no choice but to eat gruel
made from the soil. They did not know how fleeting wealth was as their father had learned earlier in
life. Wang Lung himself was not exempt from these same sins as seen in his sons, however.
Throughout his life he had two constant forces working within him, not unlike the traditional concept
of yin and yang. Yin and yang is believed to be in everything and is the essence of all naturally
occurring things. They are opposite but cannot exist without each other, so the struggle is to find the
perfect balance. Like with Wang Lung, when he only has the land and his earthen house but no wealth

Animal Testing Arguments
Animal testing has been a major issue ever since it began. Many people over time began to realize that
it is immoral and that animals deserve rights just as much as humans do. Although many people have
realized that animal testing is wrong, there is still an abundance of others who believe that there is
nothing wrong with animal testing. Imagine if someone had a pet that they love and someone
performed harmful, painful, and fear inducing experiments on them, would the owner think it is okay?
No. Then why do people think it is okay to conduct tests on other animals that will feel all the same
emotions as someone s beloved pet? Animal testing is wrong and more efforts need to be put into
place to stop this cruel act because it is not always accurate, there are alternatives to the practice, and
it is not ethical.
The first reason as to why animal testing needs to be banned is that it does not always produce
accurate results. Animal and human bodies are not exactly the same, so these tests will not accurately
predict how harmful products will be to humans. Every time you reach for an eyedrop [eye drop] or
reapply [re apply] a lip salve, you do so confident that the chemicals they contain are safe to use. But
the toxicology tests on which regulators rely to gather this information are stuck in a time warp, and
are largely based on wasteful and often poorly predictive animal experiments (Abbott). Mistakes
really cannot be made when testing whether chemical products are hazardous

High Quality Data Quality Analysis
3.1 Introduction
High quality data facilitate a precise analysis and the resulting statistics. Hence, high quality data
assist the organization to increase its business value. This chapter demonstrates the concept of data
quality, the effects of inaccurate data, and the factors that cause low quality data.
3.2 Data Quality
The executive and the top management in organizations seek comprehensive reports and dashboards
to enable them to understand on going processes and facilitate the decision making that improves their
business. However, the decision making process may be influenced by various factors. Data quality is
a critical factor because when the quality of the data is inferior, poor decisions could be made [39]. In
addition, data ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hence, several parties share the responsibility for the quality of data. In addition, J. E. Olson (2003)
observed that the poor data quality resulted from the rapid growth of information system technology
and the prompt evolution in system implementation and frequent changes that complicate and hamper
the quality control process [44]. According to C. Boulton (2016), 57.5% of poor data are caused by
users, followed by 47% caused by data migration and integration, which usually lead to gaps or
duplicate information, and 43.5% caused by changes to source systems (Figure 5) [45].
Figure 5: Causes of poor data quality [45]
Jack E. Olson (2003) defined data quality as data that are linked to their fit for use. In other words,
high data quality is obtained when the data fulfill the requirements and the criteria of its intended
usage. In contrast, poor quality results when the data do not fulfil their requirements [44].
3.3 Dimensions of Data Quality
In previous research, data quality was divided into two main categories: intrinsic and contextual. In
the intrinsic category, value resides within the data, which refers to objective attributes. In the
contextual category, the attributes of the data mainly depend on the context in which the data are
present, used, as well as the situation or problem. Data in the contextual category include the
dimensions of relevance and believability [39],

Warren Court Case Analysis
The Warren Court is widely considered one of the two most influential and impactful courts of the US,
along with the Marshall court (Cox 1). While the Marshall Court helped to shape the structure of the
government itself, the Warren Court more clearly determined the relationship between the State and
the people (Cox 1). The Warren Court addressed and advanced equality among men, the openness of
American society to change and reform, and the decency of the administration of criminal justice (Cox
1). When hearing Supreme Court cases, he often used questions such as, Is that what America stands

Arizona addresses the rights of American people expressed in the fifth amendment ( Miranda V.
Arizona, 1966. 1). This case called into question the actions of the police force coercing or threatening
suspects until they incriminate themselves ( Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 1). Many of these suspects did
not know and were not informed that they had protections under the law which allowed them to get
out of these situations without incriminating themselves ( Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 2). In numerous
cases, suspects were questioned for hours in uncomfortable positions until they finally confessed (
Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 2). This resulted in many false confessions where the suspect only
confessed in order to get out of the situation and did not truly commit the crime. The decision made in
the Miranda v. Arizona case resulted in the Miranda Rights ( Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 9). Chief
Justice Earl Warren s opinion stated that before any interrogation or questioning can begin, the
accused person must be warned that a right to remain silent, that any statement he does make may be
used as evidence against him, and that he has a right to the presence of an attorney ( Miranda V.
Arizona, 1966. 9). It also states that these writes can be waived, but only if the accused person signs
the waiver voluntarily, without coercion, and does so with full knowledge of what he is doing (
Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 9). The opinion goes on to say that, even after signing the waiver or
answering previous questions, if at any point the accused person does not want to continue answering
questions, he has the right to do so ( Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 9). Earl Warren quotes in his opinion
that It is not sufficient to do justice by obtaining a proper result by irregular or improper means (
Miranda V. Arizona, 1966. 13). This case was a monumental case in Chief Justice Earl Warren s tenure
that helped in correcting how criminal justice was addressed and how suspects and

with the newest technologies and techniques. However, in the United States, licensing and
certification for crime scene and laboratory personnel is not usually required, but often noted as a
preferred or desired qualification (NCR, 2009). If required, certification is usually established at the
agency level and not mandated by the state. With more than 17,000 agencies in the U.S., ranging in
size from just a few officers in rural communities to more than 36,000 sworn officers in the New York
Police Department (Burch, et al., 2012), consistency in qualifications, training standards and
expectations is difficult to find at any level, regardless of the beliefs held by the general public
regarding the capabilities of their criminal justice system. In looking at training issues internationally,
the fragmented scenario in the U.S. is similar to that of Australia, but countries such as the
Netherlands and United Kingdom use centralized training programmes that tend to be more cost
effective and consistent.
There are many career paths within the field of criminal justice. Opportunities exist in law
enforcement, military, the court system, corrections and other public safety agencies.

Essay Comparing The Red Badge Of Courage And The Locket
The novels The Red Badge of Courage and The Locket are a very significant piece of readings. The
books tell a historic event by giving highly descriptive details and activities that would put you in a
place of where it is being held. The two readings have numerous of similarities of settings and themes.
Throughout the readings, they use symbolism to help convey the meaning of the text. However, they
do have some differences which make these two storybooks great, understanding, and easy to
distinguish.
There are varieties of similarities of setting in the novels. First, they both begin in an unknown battle
in the Civil War during the 1860s. But then the concept of nature is being used second to describe the
settings that were taking place. The Red Badge of Courage setting in nature is peaceful, but later on
the setting turns into a disturbing way of the earth. The Locke s setting characterizes nature in the
beginning of the men gathered around during the war and the second setting is how the characters are
traveling through the beautiful season of spring. In this image, it gets the readers attention and
understanding to get the warmth and feelings of the outside without physically being there.
The symbolism of Nature is used strongly throughout both storybooks. They comparison of Nature is

The first part is a flashback which shows how the war went on. It gives us a brief introduction of the
locket and how it was taken away from one of the characters in the story. The second part is fast
forward into the life back at home of the character s lover. it demonstrates how life is at home when
someone is downhearted or other feelings that might occur at home. These two parts are essential
because the readers can get a understanding of both sides of the story which is in the war and back
home. However, it makes the readers get a better knowledge of how and what the characters were

Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing
Nursing Evidence Based Practice
Findings of evidenced based practice have to be disseminated to ensure that innovations for practice
are replicated or applied in other settings by stakeholders in the health fraternity and healthcare
professionals (Forsyth, Wright, Scherb Gaspar, 2010). One of the objectives of dissemination should
be to improve the practice. Dissemination of evidenced based practice findings in nursing is very
critical in knowledge synthesis, translation, and translation. It is imperative in strengthening
healthcare, informing policy, and improving practice decisions based on clinical evidence (Rycroft
Malone Bucknall, 2010). This is realized by transforming clinical changes into practice. It actually
involves two stage processes namely: translation of evidence into practice and integration of research
recommendations into actual practice. Effective dissemination of evidence based practice findings
enable staff to share information about developments in healthcare practice and implement innovation
(Freemantle Watt, 1994).
Dissemination enables healthcare professionals to make decisions based on the quality of information
they receive on effectiveness and cost effectiveness of a proposed healthcare intervention.
Dissemination of evidenced based research findings using any medium enables health facility staff
members to access research findings and critique the findings (Bradley, McSherry McSherry, 2010).
Service users and carers also access such

Kay Redfield Jamson On Suicide Night Falls Fast
The interview with Kay Redfield Jamison about her battle with bipolar disorder and stigma of being
labeled the crazy professor . She is a psychiatry professor who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder
after thirty years when she tried to commit suicide. Dr. Jamison is an author of a memoir An Unquiet
Mind and her acclaimed book on suicide Night Falls Fast. She is an expert on the condition of bipolar
disorder and a patient herself. If someone tells you that you have an illness, and have to take
medication for life, with possible side effects, there can be a huge stigma in taking medication to
appear normal. This was what Dr. Jamison was trying to do, hide her illness. When you are ill the
tendency is to deny that illness. The health community

Persuasive Essay On Nationalism
Kate, Guo
Mr. Berdahl
Social 20 2
Oct. 28th, 2017.
It is a truism to say that nationalism plays a significant role in life. Yet, it is not an easy concept to
define directly. Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau depicted that a Canadian not by a skin color or
a language or a background, but by a shared set of values, aspirations, hopes and dreams. Meanwhile,
Adolf Hitler protested against that nationalism was based upon bloodlines and race , and therefore he
carried out racial purity , which repressed the Jewish. On the specific issue of whether to embrace
nationalism or not, I am full of the opinion that we should adopt nationalism, but not to be radical.
Nation and identity are always related. Canadians firmly believed that the victory of the Vimy Ridge
battle in April, 1917 formed the nation, as it was the first time that all four Canadians army divisions
fought together as a single unit. In fact, Canada was not a nation until the Constitution Act officially
proclaimed Canadian Confederation on July 1, 1867. From then on, Canadian government started to
set up a series of politics; they began to spread their official language and reveal Canadian style; they
also advocated their spirituality to inspire the citizens etc. Is the national(collective) identity
consistently comes first? Since studying abroad, this doubt kept twining in my mind. Staring at the
Canadian national flag, when O, Canada plays on every Monday morning, I feel the Chinese

Ceremony Essay
FEAR=DESTRUCTION
amp;quot;They fear
They fear the world.
They destroy what they fear.
They fear themselves. amp;quot;
amp;quot; They will kill the things they fear
all the animals
the people will starve. amp;quot;
amp;quot; They will fear what they find
They will fear the people
They kill what they fear amp;quot; (Silko 136).
amp;#9;Leslie Marmon Silko uses these three short passages taken from an ancient Indian story
included in the novel Ceremony to express and convey the idea that the white man s fear was the
primary factor contributing to their negative actions toward the Indian people. The ancient Indian
story that the passages are pulled from also explains how Indian witchery led to the invention of the
white people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So they try to destroy the stories
let the stories be confused or forgotten.
They would like that
They would be happy
Because we would be defenseless then amp;quot; (Silko 2).
For example, one day Josiah found a bunch of dead flies in the house and confronted Tayo about it.
Josiah asked why he did it and Tayo replied that the teacher at school said flies are bad because they
carry sickness and disease. The white teachers had taught him something against his culture because
Indians are supposed to respect all life forms on the earth. Josiah told him the story of how the
greenbottle flies are special messengers and how he should remember the story next time he thinks
about killing a fly or any animal for that matter.
Old Betonie, the medicine man, recalled a time when the white people were extremely fearful of
Indians. He said, amp;quot;I was at the World s fair in St. Louis, Missouri, the year they had
Geronimo there on display. The white people were scared to death of him. Some of them even wanted
him in leg irons amp;quot; (Silko 122). Instead of appreciating Geronimo for his unique culture, he
was disrespected and treated as a freak show exhibit. The white people did not try to learn about his
background or interact with him because they were too fearful to look past his differences and accept
him as a fellow human being.
The white man introduced alcohol (firewater) to the Indians in an attempt to control them, manipulate
them, and take advantage of them.

This idea of a pecking order is determined by the abilities present in an organism due to its nature. Aristotle argued that despite plants, animals and humans all being capable of subsistence and flourishing, only humans and animals have the capacity for cognizance. Aristotle therefore reasoned that plants are at the bottom of the pecking order and therefore there purpose is to serve the needs of those higher in the hierarchy. As part of this ideology he theorised that since humans have the endowment of conscious reasoning whilst animals are solely reliant upon instincts, human beings are consequentially superior to non human animals. Aristotle claimed therefore that it seemed justifiable that the purpose of animals is to serve the needs of humans (Regan and Singer, 1989). Others share similar thoughts to Aristotle and contend that moral obligations are determined by the capabilities of an organism. Immanuel Kant developed a highly influential moral theory which suggested that a being must be autonomous in order for its interests to count in the moral assessment of actions (Kant, 1956). He also subscribed to the belief that it was the attributes which human beings possess and animals don t have that rationalises awarding human beings a distinct moral status while withholding any moral status at all from animals. In Washington s Atlanta Compromise Address (D) he comments that the wisest among my race understand that the agitation of questions of social equality is the extremist folly, and that progress in the enjoyment of all the privileges that will come to us must be the result of severe and constant struggle rather than of artificial forcing. (D) This statement, delivered at a time when Blacks and whites have separate water fountains(J), almost one hundred and forty Black people were lynched(C), and forty five to sixty percent of Blacks over the age of nine are illiterate(B), directly condemns the blunt complaining with which Du Bois is aligning himself. Return criticism is illustrated in The Souls of Black Folk, written by Du Bois in 1903. The way for a people to gain respect is not by continually belittling and ridiculing themselves; that, on the contrary, Negroes must insist continually, in season and out of season (E) as written by Du Bois seems to be a direct response to the 1895 infamous address of Washington. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and priorities to be assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of controlling how traffic flows through ones network so as to optimize resource utilization and network performance [3]. It is performed by detouring the traffic to paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst the paths as per the various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so that they can avoid the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in short time scale depending on different metrics calculated both online and offline of the present traffic and the time dependent policies engineer it based on long time scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the congestion. The problem that we face while using previous MPLS routing solutions is that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The life during Elizabethan England era was very hard because of the poverty levels being very high, the towns were unclean and their diets were very poor. During the Elizabethan England era there was an outburst of poverty. Others may say that the poverty was not an issue, but they are mistaken. The poverty created a big issue for the poor because they looked down upon them and didn t try to help then so more and more people were becoming broke. Poverty became a widespread problem during the Elizabethan era, so much so that Parliament was forced to enact laws aimed at dealing with the country s poor on a number of occasions. Initially, these laws took a harsh view of the poor and even went so far as to criminalize begging and institute severe punishments for those who were caught in the act. (Elizabethan Class System.) This shows that so many people were in debut or below the poverty line that they needed to enforce a law. It was such a bad life that people who need to get money by begging the act in force it as a crime. While Elizabethan England contained poverty, it was also full of unclean towns/cities. Americans disregard all homeless populations, but the most heart wrenching group that is disregarded is the veterans. Veteran homelessness chronically affects such a broad group of people that a solution is imminent. It is no longer the time to allow America s service men to wander the streets unsheltered. It is time to step up and finally put a stop to veteran homelessness. There are intricate causes that compound and makes a person considered chronically homeless. There are homeless veterans that are stuck to live on the streets for reasons that affect non veterans as well. These include lack of a supportable income, healthcare, and affordable housing. More specifically, there are complex factors that causes retired service men to be left on the streets. These causes are directly related to veteran homelessness. The most influential factor that leaves veterans on the streets is the effects of mental illness and more specifically the effects that post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) plays on the veteran; more than half of homeless veterans suffer from a serious mental illness (National Coalition for Homeless Veterans). The following statements are my analysis considering to the language theories proposed by researchers and a repercussion for my personal experience. Nature versus Nurture It was suggested in Chapter 2 that there are two theories regarding the language acquisition, nurture or nature. Most behaviorists suggested that the child develops language due to nurture, which means that the environmental exposure is the key to child s language development; whereas most nativists considered that the child develops language due to nature, and the brain drives development and children are born with the biology to acquire language. According to BF Skinner, who developed Operant Conditioning Theory, in his 1957 classic, Verbal Behavior, which Skinner reports the language is obtained by reinforcing modeling and continuous practicing. His theory is based on the precondition that a behavior may increase or decrease determined by what happens after a behavior occurs and thus external forces may modify the behavior. Dealing with repeat, criminal offenders, has become a hot topic issue in the corrections community, as well as the justice system as a whole. Society demands to be protected from the criminal element, and rightly so, but how do we identify the career criminals, and keep them from harming others? Even though a small number of career criminals were responsible for the majority of the crimes being committed in the country, it was not until the mid 1980s that selective incapacitation began to be used (Mays Winfree, 2009). One of the assumptions, concerning career criminals, is that here is no way to reform them. These offenders will continually commit criminal acts as long as they are not incarcerated. To keep these career criminals locked away, many states began passing laws to identify, and incarcerate them for mandatory lengths of time. By the mid 1980s, and the early 1990s, states began passing habitual offenders statutes, which in effect, identified repeat offenders in the justice system, and sentencing them to long, mandatory prison sentences, up to, and including life in prison without parole (Mays Winfree, 2009). These statutes are known as the three strikes laws. The meaning behind this is that if an offender, who has been convicted three times for criminal offenses, is incapable of reforming, and therefore should be incarcerated, and kept away from the rest of society. • 32. Love Triangle In The Canterbury Tales In the Canterbury Tale by Geoffrey Chaucer, born in circa 1340 October 25, 1400, London, England.Chaucer expresses his beliefs of how should love be through the Knight s Tale and Miller s Prologue since both presents a love triangle.Chaucer on the stories shows two types of love which had similarities and differences between the characters and the events of both stories. Geoffrey Chaucer, in the text Canterbury Tale describes the love triangle by different types of how should be love, and I saw some similarities compared to now in how people see the love and how they show love to others. Chaucer maintain that the love triangle is represented by Duke Theseus and John the Carpenter by being the elderly authority figure because they try to control Emily and Alison,Palamon and Arcite by Knight s tale, Absolon, and Nicholas by the Miller s tale represent the suitors, they had love at first sight. Chaucer s purpose for writing this text is to compare two characters that have almost the same roles in the stories but with other names and becoming a different type of story. This text is significant to our understanding of love triangle because each one compares how love should be and these stories have some similarities with now. Early in the story, Chaucer describes two differences in how should love be as Palamon leaps out from his hiding place, calls Arcite a traitor, declares himself to be Arcite s mortal foe, and challenges him to a duel by the knight s tale and Alison and Nicholas form a plan to spend the night together by the Miller s tale. What Chaucer is saying is that in the Knight s tale love is represented as a fight between two people as a courtly love, this means that if you want have the love of a woman you need to fight to have it, Palamon and Arcite spend dangerous years trying to be near Emilye, they both face off with sword and shield to fight with hundreds of knights, but in this story Emilye don t choose which one she wants, Theseus the authority control her and say that the winner would have her, this story represents the perfect stereotype of perfect warrior and the perfect princess not showing any personalities traits and in the Miller s tale the characters have specific traits and they ... The earth gives life and helps to sustain it, and in the end the earth is where you return. For Wang Lung, this was a concept easily grasped. He loved the land, and even in his rise to power, his connection to it remained. When he was most at peace, he was working the land. The times he grew restless were those when he was unable to farm. Often with the gain of monetary wealth, the decline of morality follows closely behind. This is magnified in the lives of Wang Lung s three sons. This was something Wang Lung could not communicate with his sons. They seemed to think that their wealth would go far beyond the ground from which it came. Maybe they could not remember the months they spent in the hut, or when they had no choice but to eat gruel made from the soil. They did not know how fleeting wealth was as their father had learned earlier in life. Wang Lung himself was not exempt from these same sins as seen in his sons, however. Many people over time began to realize that it is immoral and that animals deserve rights just as much as humans do. Although many people have realized that animal testing is wrong, there is still an abundance of others who believe that there is nothing wrong with animal testing. Imagine if someone had a pet that they love and someone performed harmful, painful, and fear inducing experiments on them, would the owner think it is okay? No. Then why do people think it is okay to conduct tests on other animals that will feel all the same emotions as someone s beloved pet? Animal testing is wrong and more efforts need to be put into place to stop this cruel act because it is not always accurate, there are alternatives to the practice, and it is not ethical. The first reason as to why animal testing needs to be banned is that it does not always produce accurate results. Animal and human bodies are not exactly the same, so these tests will not accurately predict how harmful products will be to humans. Every time you reach for an eyedrop [eye drop] or reapply [re apply] a lip salve, you do so confident that the chemicals they contain are safe to use. But the toxicology tests on which regulators rely to gather this information are stuck in a time warp, and are largely based on wasteful and often poorly predictive animal experiments (Abbott). According to C. Many of these suspects did not know and were not informed that they had protections under the law which allowed them to get out of these situations without incriminating themselves ( Miranda V. • 44. Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing Nursing Evidence Based Practice Findings of evidenced based practice have to be disseminated to ensure that innovations for practice are replicated or applied in other settings by stakeholders in the health fraternity and healthcare professionals (Forsyth, Wright, Scherb Gaspar, 2010). One of the objectives of dissemination should be to improve the practice. Dissemination of evidenced based practice findings in nursing is very critical in knowledge synthesis, translation, and translation. It is imperative in strengthening healthcare, informing policy, and improving practice decisions based on clinical evidence (Rycroft Malone Bucknall, 2010). This is realized by transforming clinical changes into practice. It actually involves two stage processes namely: translation of evidence into practice and integration of research recommendations into actual practice. Effective dissemination of evidence based practice findings enable staff to share information about developments in healthcare practice and implement innovation (Freemantle Watt, 1994). • 46. Persuasive Essay On Nationalism Kate, Guo Mr. Berdahl Social 20 2 Oct. 28th, 2017. It is a truism to say that nationalism plays a significant role in life. Yet, it is not an easy concept to define directly. Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau depicted that a Canadian not by a skin color or a language or a background, but by a shared set of values, aspirations, hopes and dreams. Meanwhile, Adolf Hitler protested against that nationalism was based upon bloodlines and race , and therefore he carried out racial purity , which repressed the Jewish. On the specific issue of whether to embrace nationalism or not, I am full of the opinion that we should adopt nationalism, but not to be radical. Nation and identity are always related. Canadians firmly believed that the victory of the Vimy Ridge battle in April, 1917 formed the nation, as it was the first time that all four Canadians army divisions fought together as a single unit. In fact, Canada was not a nation until the Constitution Act officially proclaimed Canadian Confederation on July 1, 1867. From then on, Canadian government started to set up a series of politics; they began to spread their official language and reveal Canadian style; they also advocated their spirituality to inspire the citizens etc. Is the national(collective) identity consistently comes first? Since studying abroad, this doubt kept twining in my mind. Staring at the Canadian national flag, when O, Canada plays on every Monday morning, I feel the Chinese ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Josiah told him the story of how the greenbottle flies are special messengers and how he should remember the story next time he thinks about killing a fly or any animal for that matter. Old Betonie, the medicine man, recalled a time when the white people were extremely fearful of Indians. He said, amp;quot;I was at the World s fair in St. Louis, Missouri, the year they had Geronimo there on display. The white people were scared to death of him.
