1. SPEECH EEPA AWARDS
As men�oned, The Break is a program aimed at atrac�ng women entrepreneurs from the EU to
Spain, with a dual purpose: on the one hand, to accelerate their projects in our country, and on
the other hand, to capitalize on their talent so that they could contribute to solving local
challenges in Spanish rural areas and small ci�es. These challenges are related to industry,
energy, tourism, mobility, or rural development.
However, what started as a project with very tangible KPIs and objec�ves has turned into a
community of 1,000 European women entrepreneurs, 1,000 Breakers, who have achieved the
most valuable intangible asset: sisterhood. These women have lived together in groups of 12 to
20 for a month in Spain, and I must say that for many of them, the experience has been life
changing.
Thanks to The Break, many of these women have felt seen for the first �me in their lives, from a
professional perspec�ve. They have felt accepted as they are, without judgment. And when they
have realized that they were already complete in themselves, without having to prove anything
to anyone, a new way of doing business has emerged: collabora�on based on apprecia�on for
others, above compe��on and the tough way of doing things.
So now let's hope that these 1.000 Breakers pollinate all possible ecosystems with their courage,
enthusiasm, rebellion, empathy, love for nature and kindness. May they spread the message
wherever they go, that if we want to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, we must first
address personal transforma�on as an exercise in coherence and honesty.
Just as older bees teach their younger sisters to dance and therefore find the flowers, hopefully,
all these Breakers will perform the dance of their lives, so that our daughters, nieces,
granddaughters, and friends know that they too, can achieve whatever they set their minds to,
