                              Through the generous gift from Lewis C. Everett of Kilmarnock, Virginia, Hampden-Sydney College has completed the construction of the
                              $5 million Lewis C. Everett Stadium. Construction on the 1850 seat facility began in November 2006 and was completed in August 2007.
                              The Everett Stadium replaces the 40-year-old Hundley Stadium adjacent to Fulton Field.

                              The Lewis C. Everett Stadium, designed by Marcellus Wright Cox Architects, P.C., of Richmond, will blend with the Federal architecture
                              of the Hampden-Sydney College campus. It will provide much needed space for press, scorekeepers, and radio announcers and will
                              include restrooms in the concourse area and a filming platform in the cupola. The interior design of the stadium lounge is by: Penelope
                              S. Crandall, Interior Design Consultant of Midlothian, Virginia, and, Heidi S. Brooks, Interior Design Consultant of Generations Interior

                         The Kirk Athletic Center comprises the completely renovated Gammon Gymnasium and two new wings. It is the home of all field sports - soccer, lacrosse, football, base-
                       ball - as well as cross country, tennis, and golf. The Kirk Center was completed and dedicated in the fall of 2008, and the new additions have provided Hampden-Sydney
                       athletics with some great improvements. Among the additions are four brand new locker rooms for the Tigers, a new training room, a renovated basketball court, new of-
                       fices for coaches and administrators, hall of fame gallery, and classrooms. Now for the first time, each sport has its own locker room, each with direct access to the exterior.
                            Kirk also houses the athletic training staff, the Gammon Weight Room, the soccer locker room, and the new Hall of Fame. The three person training staff Hampden-
                       Sydney now has a room roughly three times the size of the former training room. The new room comes with many new features including six training tables; four whirl-
                       pools, two of which are full body size; two offices; and a flat screen HD television. This new training room accompanies their auxiliary room in Kirby Fieldhouse.
                            The Gammon Weight Room is located on the first floor of the Kirk Athletic Center. It is fully stocked with both free weights and weight machines. Some of the weight
                       machines include two Hammer Strength Jammers, two glute/ham machines, a Hammer Strength leg press, a five pulley cable system, a leg extension/leg curl, a chest press,
                       a military press, a bicep curl, a treadmill, and an upright bike. The free weight equipment include lifting platforms, five deluxe multi racks, five flat-to-military benches,
                       three decline-to-military benches, three dip stations, four stabilization discs, three sets of stretch bands, seven plyometric boxes, and 21 medicine balls.
                            For the first time Hampden-Sydney soccer now has its own locker room. The new room is equip with 41 lockers, new showers, and a state-of-the-art flat screen HD tele-
                       vision. Included in the cable subscription is the Fox Soccer Channel. The locker room is located right next to the training room and has direct exterior access.
                            The new Hall of Fame features new plaques of the 111 inductees along with an interactive touch screen that allows viewers to bring up any inductee on a high definition
                       flat screen by induction type, year, name, or graduation year. The room also features another flat screen television that plays highlight videos from all of the current teams.

In 2007, Hampden-Sydney saw the completion of the Hellmuth-Pritzlaff turf field. The field is the inclement weather home to both the

Tiger lacrosse and soccer teams. The auxiliary field gives the Tigers plenty of room to spread out and use both turf and natural grass.

                               Kirby Fieldhouse is home to Hampden-Sydney’s state of the art fitness center and Tiger basketball. The fitness center has been
                               designed to promote a healthy lifestyle in a relaxing atmosphere. For your cardiovascular workout, the Center includes a
                               Cardio-Theatre system with seven 32” televisions that offer viewing to seven treadmills, six elliptical trainers, five bicycles, two
                               stairclimbers, and one Concept II rower.

                               The Fitness Center also caters to the weight lifter with a complete line of free weight equipment, Hammer Strength systems,
                               and Life Fitness selectorized equipment (formerly called nautilus). There is also a place to work the important core muscles (abs,
                               lower back, etc.).
                               The Aerobics Room (located on the second floor) is stocked with the latest group exercise and personal use fitness equipment.
                               There are three refurbished racquetball courts. Leggett Pool remains available and provides excellent exercise opportunities.
                               The Center is also connected right to the basketball courts.

                               The Fieldhouse contains the main game court as well as two auxiliary courts. All three are open to the entire campus.

                         state by overall winning percentage. This past year was the highest winning percentage in school history and the first time Hammpden-Sydney has won the men’s divi-

Everett of Kilmarnock, Virginia, Hampden-Sydney College has completed the construction of the $5 million Lewis C. Everett Stadium. Construction on the 1850 seat facility began in November 2006 and was completed in August 2007. The Everett Stadium replaces the 40-year-old Hundley Stadium adjacent to Fulton Field. The Lewis C. Everett Stadium, designed by Marcellus Wright Cox Architects, P.C., of Richmond, will blend with the Federal architecture of the Hampden-Sydney College campus. It will provide much needed space for press, scorekeepers, and radio announcers and will include restrooms in the concourse area and a filming platform in the cupola. Contents This is H-SC History Alumni Hampden-Sydney College Lacrosse 201 Season 1 2010 Season ODAC Face-Off Club kiRk aTHleTiC CenTeR The Kirk Athletic Center comprises the completely renovated Gammon Gymnasium and two new wings. It is the home of all field sports - soccer, lacrosse, football, base- ball - as well as cross country, tennis, and golf. The Kirk Center was completed and dedicated in the fall of 2008, and the new additions have provided Hampden-Sydney athletics with some great improvements. Among the additions are four brand new locker rooms for the Tigers, a new training room, a renovated basketball court, new of- fices for coaches and administrators, hall of fame gallery, and classrooms. Now for the first time, each sport has its own locker room, each with direct access to the exterior. Kirk also houses the athletic training staff, the Gammon Weight Room, the soccer locker room, and the new Hall of Fame. The three person training staff Hampden- Sydney now has a room roughly three times the size of the former training room. The new room comes with many new features including six training tables; four whirl- pools, two of which are full body size; two offices; and a flat screen HD television. This new training room accompanies their auxiliary room in Kirby Fieldhouse. The Gammon Weight Room is located on the first floor of the Kirk Athletic Center. It is fully stocked with both free weights and weight machines. Some of the weight machines include two Hammer Strength Jammers, two glute/ham machines, a Hammer Strength leg press, a five pulley cable system, a leg extension/leg curl, a chest press, a military press, a bicep curl, a treadmill, and an upright bike. The free weight equipment include lifting platforms, five deluxe multi racks, five flat-to-military benches, three decline-to-military benches, three dip stations, four stabilization discs, three sets of stretch bands, seven plyometric boxes, and 21 medicine balls. For the first time Hampden-Sydney soccer now has its own locker room. The new room is equip with 41 lockers, new showers, and a state-of-the-art flat screen HD tele- vision. Included in the cable subscription is the Fox Soccer Channel. The locker room is located right next to the training room and has direct exterior access. The new Hall of Fame features new plaques of the 111 inductees along with an interactive touch screen that allows viewers to bring up any inductee on a high definition flat screen by induction type, year, name, or graduation year. The field is the inclement weather home to both the Tiger lacrosse and soccer teams. The auxiliary field gives the Tigers plenty of room to spread out and use both turf and natural grass. Miller Field, home of the soccer team, received a recent upgrade with new Pro Premier World Competition Goals. The fitness center has been designed to promote a healthy lifestyle in a relaxing atmosphere. For your cardiovascular workout, the Center includes a Cardio-Theatre system with seven 32” televisions that offer viewing to seven treadmills, six elliptical trainers, five bicycles, two stairclimbers, and one Concept II rower. The Fitness Center also caters to the weight lifter with a complete line of free weight equipment, Hammer Strength systems, and Life Fitness selectorized equipment (formerly called nautilus). There is also a place to work the important core muscles (abs, lower back, etc.). The Aerobics Room (located on the second floor) is stocked with the latest group exercise and personal use fitness equipment. There are three refurbished racquetball courts. Leggett Pool remains available and provides excellent exercise opportunities. The Center is also connected right to the basketball courts. The survey ranks all 27 non-NCAA Division I schools in the state by overall winning percentage. This past year was the highest winning percentage in school history and the first time Hammpden-Sydney has won the men’s divi- sion. While winning the men’s division, the Tigers finished second in the overall division. Below are the accomplishments from these six honored sports in 2009-10.
