
Quality of the service is the degree of conformance of all the relevant features and characteristics of service to all the aspects of the consumers' needs
limited by the price and delivery s/he will accept. Quality can be viewed from two perspectives:

Strategies for going Global Indian companies are using all the tricks of trade to go global. The scale and business share may not be significant today,
but Indian businesses are slowly but surely establishing themselves abroad. Following are the strategies used by Indian companies to go global: 1)
Acquisitions Acquisitions have been the major business strategy employed by Indian MNCs to expand and capture the markets. The International
acquisitions help Indian companies by: a. Providing proximity to global customers, and significant upside . b.Giving access to technology and
intellectual property, which can be exploited at a larger scale. c.Allowing Indian companies to drive value from their cost competitiveness by acquiring
international operations with higher cost structures. d.Streamlining supply chains and securing raw material access. A significant part of Indian overseas
investment has gone into acquisitions abroad. In its latest report, Grant Thornton, a global consultancy firm, stated that 'The total number of M&A deals
during the first 11 months of 2008 stood at 433, with an announced value of US$ 31.95 billion. The number of outbound deals has far exceeded the

04/06/2015 Introduction: Globalization isn't a widely discussed topic, it is therefore not all that easy to explain such a complicated term in simple terms.
Advances in technology such as mobile phones, aero planes and the internet have made the growth of transport and communication networks possible.

The local firms SONY and Videocon have to react to withstand the competition and so the world grows closer together and there is an active exchange
of goods between the countries, more affordable products are available for more people. However, not only does an exchange of products and economic
goods take place ,but also of services, knowledge, cultural goods and even languages. All of these individual elements are closely linked and influence
each other. But where these is light there is also shadow. Because of globalization and intense exchange of goods, people and the environment often
suffer. If a company decides to move their production to an economically disadvantaged country people and industrialized countries use their jobs at the
same time job opportunities open up too many locals in an economically disadvantages country many people in these countries work for very little
money in comparison to those in industrialized countries, therefore, they often remain poor more often than not do not have sufficient insurance, social
insurance or health insurance cover. A further disadvantage of globalization is ecological problems such as climate change. The use of aero planes,
ships and Lorries to transport goods to international borders is constantly on an increase this causes more carbon–di–oxide to be released into the
atmosphere which intern is the main cause of the Global Warming. Even national

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Judicial Intervention
1. Judicial Intervention
The root cause of all the delays in enforcement/challenging the awards is precisely the Judicial Intervention. The basic object of the Law of Arbitration
has been defied in International Commercial Arbitration as there is an excessive judicial intervention where the award has been decided by the foreign
court. This practice hampers the settlement of commercial disputes and also results in the pendency of large number cases in the courts. The courts
should refrain from such practices as it hampers the growth and development of the economy. The Indian courts have been misinterpreting the
provision in the Arbitration Act to suit their whims and fancies. The courts shouldn't interfere in the first place, and when the court commit manifold
errors in passing judgments is not only frustrating but also sets a negative course discouraging the parties from opting for arbitration as a means for
dispute resolution process.
2. No Fixed Time Period
Another very prominent criticism is related to flaw regarding the time period for enforcement of a foreign award. The 1996 Act has not provided any
provision regarding the time period for the enforcement of the foreign award. However various High Courts have given different opinions but none of
which has been unanimously accepted. The Bombay High Court in Noy Vallesina v. Jindal Drugs Limited held that the provision for limitation as
provided under Article 136 and 137 of the Limitation Act would apply for enforcement

Globalization and India's Rising Demand for Foreign Brands: Lessons for Marketers
Globalization
Globalization is an inevitable phenomenon that is leading the entire world towards becoming one market, a global village. With the world becoming a
single market, globalization has had a major contribution in enabling the organizations worldwide to step out of the restricted domestic markets and to
set up their operations across the globe with confidence. This has largely led to a decline in the importance in national borders and a greater emphasis
on what the consumers actually demand no matter the consumer is located in the very country in which the organization exists or an entirely different
part of the world. Moreover, with the rapid increase in global competition, companies that strictly adhere to and cater to the needs of the local markets
are finding themselves at a disadvantage and gradually losing the competitive advantage that they so much strived to achieve. However, for some
products and services the tastes and preferences of consumers in different nations are beginning to converge on some global norm.

We live in an era where telecommunications services hold a central role in every sphere of our lives (Came, 1984). Marketers argue with compact
confidences that these emerging technologies have the ability to develop our lives and improve it in many ways (Risto, 2002). Moreover, it has
facilitated the instantaneous cost reduction and quality improvement by offering different services by the companies (Douligeris and Pereira, 1984).

Why There Is Need to Study Ihrm and Cross Culture Management?
INTRODUCTION Why there is need to study IHRM and cross culture management? For our purposes let's define culture as the way in which each of
us is programmed to behave in the environment. Cultures are like icebergs; some features are apparent to anyone not in a fog, while others are deeply
hidden. Above–the–surface features include overt behaviors: how people dress eat walk talk relate to one another conduct themselves during public
ceremonies such as weddings or funerals. Also included are such things as social distance. Other aspects are so far below the surface that they are hard
to recognize. We may see evidence of these aspects, but we usually can't pinpoint them precisely and usually don't have a clue where they came from.

In France and Greece, for example, engineers tend to emphasize theoretical or mathematical approaches over experimental or numerical ones. Other
countries, such as Canada and the United States, tend to favor experimental or numerical approaches. Although there is no absolute "right way" to
approach technical problems, issues are likely to arise when engineers with different inclinations work together to solve them. On a practical basis, the
approaches used by engineers in different countries can also depend on the types of resources available. For example, high labour costs and the
availability of skilled workers make process automation and the use of heavy equipment valuable in developed countries, while using large numbers of
unskilled workers may be a preferred approach in some developing. Cross–cultural Differences & Telecommunication Cross–cultural issues also arise
at the organizational level; because company's indifferent countries organize their daily business differently. Some of the most noticeable differences
include relative hierarchy of departments. The relative power of the various departments within a corporation is often a function of the country where
the corporation has its headquarters. For example, the manufacturing departments of merman–based companies have influence over their marketing and
sales counterpart's hat many Canadian and American manufacturing departments can only dream of. Merman

The 2G spectrum scam in India involved the issue of 1232 licenses by the ruling Congress–led UPA alliance[1] of the 2G spectrum to 85 companies[1]
including many new telecom companies with little or no experience in the telecom sector at a price set in the year 2001. The scam involved allegations
regarding the under pricing of the 2G spectrum by the Department of Telecommunications which resulted in a heavy loss to the exchequer, and the
illegal manipulation of the spectrum allocation process to favour select companies The issue came to light after the auction of airwaves for 3G services

LG Electronics: Global Strategy in Emerging Markets
Mr. Nam Woo, President of LG Electronics (LG), was collecting his thoughts after the press conference in Beijing. He had been appointed as the
President of LG Electronics in China in 2006 and was unveiling an ambitious agenda to accelerate LG's presence in the country. He reflected on the
emergence of
South Korea as a major hub in the consumer electronics business and the role that LG had played in the rapid transformation. Having spearheaded a
significant part of LG's forays into emerging markets such as Brazil, Russia, China, and India, Mr. Woo had synthesized some crucial lessons that he

The History of LG
LG was born as the Lak Hui Chemical Industrial Co. in 1947. It was founded by Mr. In–hwoi Koo for the manufacture of cosmetic creams. Finding that
there were no independent manufacturers capable of supplying bottle caps needed for packaging the cream, Lak Hui Chemical set up its own facilities
and utilized the excess capacity of its injection–molding machines to manufacture small consumer products based in plastic. This led to an entry into
the manufacture of plastics components for telecommunication and electrical companies presaging LG's entry into the telecommunications business. In
fortifying its access to feedstock for plastics manufacture, the company moved into oil refining and later into shipping to transport crude oil. It was in
1958 that the Goldstar Co. (currently LG Electronics) was first established to consolidate expansion in the fast–growing area of plastics.

of Business Administration Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India E–mail– rajasarkar71@gmail.com Mobile– 9088189044 Abstract: The
Indian telecom sector has evolved over the last two decades significantly. Before the economic liberalization in the 1990's, it was the state run service
providers BSNL(Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) & MTNL(Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Limited) who had absolute monopoly in this sector. Landlines
used to dominate the Indian telecom space. Mobile phone users were very few and they were mostly from the ultra rich and the elite segment. Call
charges were extremely high which kept the ordinary people outside the purview of the telecom service. It was the economic liberalization which
opened the floodgates for private and foreign investments in the Indian economy in almost each and every sector and the telecom sector was also not
untouched by it. It brought the private players into the telecom space and created a fierce competition which resulted in an ideal atmosphere for the
diffusion of the telecom services among all classes and segments. It was the trigger for the subsequent telecom revolution in India which ultimately
resulted

History of Cellphone
History of Cell Phones The history of mobile phones records the development of interconnection between the public switched telephone systems to
radio transceivers. From the earliest days of transmitting speech by radio, connection of the radio system to the telephone network had obvious benefits
of eliminating the wires. Early systems used bulky, high power consuming equipment and supported only a few conversations at a time, with required
manual set–up of the interconnection. Today cellular technology and microprocessor control systems allow automatic and pervasive use of mobile
phones for voice and data. The transmission of speech by radio has a long and varied history going back to Reginald Fessenden's invention and shore–

In 1969 Amtrak equipped commuter trains along the 225–mile New York–Washington route with special pay phones that allowed passengers to place
telephone calls while the train was moving. The system re–used six frequencies in the 450 MHZ band in nine sites, a precursor of the concept later
applied in cellular telephones. [2] In December 1971, AT&T submitted a proposal for cellular service to the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC). After years of hearings, the FCC approved the proposal in 1982 forAdvanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) and allocated frequencies in the
824–894 MHz band.[6] Analog AMPS was eventually superseded by Digital AMPS in 1990. A cellular telephone switching plan was described by
Fluhr and Nussbaum in 1973,[7] and a cellular telephone data signaling system was described in 1977 by Hachenburg et al.[8] In 1979 a U.S. Patent
4,152,647 was issued to Charles A. Gladden and Martin H. Parelman, of Las Vegas for an emergency cellular system for rapid deployment in areas
where there was no cellular service. Emergence of commercial mobile phone service Alongside the early developments outlined above, a different
technology was also growing in popularity. Two–way mobile radios (known as mobile rigs) were used in vehicles such as taxicabs, police cruisers, and
ambulances, but were not mobile phones, because they were not connected to the telephone network. The first fully automated mobile phone system for
vehicles was launched in Sweden in 1960. Named

What Is Media Influence In France
France and India are on different spectrums when it comes to culture and traditions. India is known for its vibrant and colorful traditions, while France
is known for its well–polished ones. The one thing that both these countries can relate the most in is media. Media plays an intensive role in both
countries. They both strive in creating media that is true to their culture and beliefs. India and France media consist of television, radio, film,
newspapers, magazines, and internet based websites. I personally find both of these countries fascinating and want to know more about the media

This clearly shows that U.S influence is seen in Frances film industry. France does have regulations on the amount of American movies that can be
shown in their country throughout the year. This is why on the chart there are more home based movies than the box office of another country. On
France's billboard chart every song expect for one or two are American record songs. There is definitely a heavy American influence in France. It is
shown across every media platform in France. In the article "Jill Scott Compared to a Dog on French Television," France is has a complicated history
with race and racism. On a recent episode of TMC's Quotidian actress Reem Kherici and actress Alice Belaïdi and made some derogatory remarks
about singer Jill Scott. Actress Alice Belaïdi stated that she named her dog Jill because she look like Jill Scott. The host Yann Barthès proceeded to put
up a side by side photo of the singer and Belaïdi dog. The actress and the host found the joke amusing, while actress Kherici and the audience didn't
find the humor in the joke at all. Offensive jokes have been displayed on television for centuries now. Television has been a big contributor to the
controversy of racism and stereotyping. This is the perfect example of how media can have an effect on society issues.

Given this, the exposure/repetition–effects literature stream is helpful in understanding the theory behind response to stimuli such as logos. Researches
who have examined the relationship between exposure (in particular, repetitive exposure to stimuli) and affective response have reported results that
can be categorized into two broad categories. First, a number of studies report an inverted "U" relationship between exposure to stimuli (ranging from
nonsense syllables to advertisements) and affect (Crandall, Montgomery and Ress 1973;Kail and Freeman 1973; Zajonc Crandall, Kail and Swap 1974,
Anand and Sternthal 1990; Calder and Sternthal 1980). The prevailing explanation is the "two factor theory" that states two opposite psychological
processes: positive habitation and tedium mediate the relationship between exposure and affect(Berlyne 1970). Positive habitation is defined as a
reduction in uncertainty or conflict in a person's mind (Cacioppo and Petty 1979). Repeated exposure leads to more opportunities to learn about the
stimuli thereby reducing uncertainty and this learning is presumably rewarding and leads to increased affect towards the stimulus (upward portion of
the inverted U). The decline of affect (downward portion of U) results from the tedium of repeated exposures to the stimulus. Tedium is defined as a
state of

  • 16. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Judicial Intervention 1. Judicial Intervention The root cause of all the delays in enforcement/challenging the awards is precisely the Judicial Intervention. The basic object of the Law of Arbitration has been defied in International Commercial Arbitration as there is an excessive judicial intervention where the award has been decided by the foreign court. This practice hampers the settlement of commercial disputes and also results in the pendency of large number cases in the courts. The courts should refrain from such practices as it hampers the growth and development of the economy. The Indian courts have been misinterpreting the provision in the Arbitration Act to suit their whims and fancies. The courts shouldn't interfere in the first place, and when the court commit manifold errors in passing judgments is not only frustrating but also sets a negative course discouraging the parties from opting for arbitration as a means for dispute resolution process. 2. No Fixed Time Period Another very prominent criticism is related to flaw regarding the time period for enforcement of a foreign award. The 1996 Act has not provided any provision regarding the time period for the enforcement of the foreign award. However various High Courts have given different opinions but none of which has been unanimously accepted. The Bombay High Court in Noy Vallesina v. Jindal Drugs Limited held that the provision for limitation as provided under Article 136 and 137 of the Limitation Act would apply for enforcement ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With the world becoming a single market, globalization has had a major contribution in enabling the organizations worldwide to step out of the restricted domestic markets and to set up their operations across the globe with confidence. This has largely led to a decline in the importance in national borders and a greater emphasis on what the consumers actually demand no matter the consumer is located in the very country in which the organization exists or an entirely different part of the world. Moreover, with the rapid increase in global competition, companies that strictly adhere to and cater to the needs of the local markets are finding themselves at a disadvantage and gradually losing the competitive advantage that they so much strived to achieve. However, for some products and services the tastes and preferences of consumers in different nations are beginning to converge on some global norm. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For our purposes let's define culture as the way in which each of us is programmed to behave in the environment. Cultures are like icebergs; some features are apparent to anyone not in a fog, while others are deeply hidden. Above–the–surface features include overt behaviors: how people dress eat walk talk relate to one another conduct themselves during public ceremonies such as weddings or funerals. Also included are such things as social distance. Other aspects are so far below the surface that they are hard to recognize. We may see evidence of these aspects, but we usually can't pinpoint them precisely and usually don't have a clue where they came from. They ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In France and Greece, for example, engineers tend to emphasize theoretical or mathematical approaches over experimental or numerical ones. Other countries, such as Canada and the United States, tend to favor experimental or numerical approaches. Although there is no absolute "right way" to approach technical problems, issues are likely to arise when engineers with different inclinations work together to solve them. On a practical basis, the approaches used by engineers in different countries can also depend on the types of resources available. For example, high labour costs and the availability of skilled workers make process automation and the use of heavy equipment valuable in developed countries, while using large numbers of unskilled workers may be a preferred approach in some developing. Cross–cultural Differences & Telecommunication Cross–cultural issues also arise at the organizational level; because company's indifferent countries organize their daily business differently. Some of the most noticeable differences include relative hierarchy of departments. The relative power of the various departments within a corporation is often a function of the country where the corporation has its headquarters. Before the economic liberalization in the 1990's, it was the state run service providers BSNL(Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) & MTNL(Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Limited) who had absolute monopoly in this sector. Landlines used to dominate the Indian telecom space. Mobile phone users were very few and they were mostly from the ultra rich and the elite segment. Call charges were extremely high which kept the ordinary people outside the purview of the telecom service. It was the economic liberalization which opened the floodgates for private and foreign investments in the Indian economy in almost each and every sector and the telecom sector was also not untouched by it. It brought the private players into the telecom space and created a fierce competition which resulted in an ideal atmosphere for the diffusion of the telecom services among all classes and segments. From the earliest days of transmitting speech by radio, connection of the radio system to the telephone network had obvious benefits of eliminating the wires. Early systems used bulky, high power consuming equipment and supported only a few conversations at a time, with required manual set–up of the interconnection. The system re–used six frequencies in the 450 MHZ band in nine sites, a precursor of the concept later applied in cellular telephones. [2] In December 1971, AT&T submitted a proposal for cellular service to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). After years of hearings, the FCC approved the proposal in 1982 forAdvanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) and allocated frequencies in the 824–894 MHz band.[6] Analog AMPS was eventually superseded by Digital AMPS in 1990. A cellular telephone switching plan was described by Fluhr and Nussbaum in 1973,[7] and a cellular telephone data signaling system was described in 1977 by Hachenburg et al.[8] In 1979 a U.S. Patent 4,152,647 was issued to Charles A. Gladden and Martin H. Parelman, of Las Vegas for an emergency cellular system for rapid deployment in areas where there was no cellular service. Emergence of commercial mobile phone service Alongside the early developments outlined above, a different technology was also growing in popularity. Two–way mobile radios (known as mobile rigs) were used in vehicles such as taxicabs, police cruisers, and ambulances, but were not mobile phones, because they were not connected to the telephone network. On a recent episode of TMC's Quotidian actress Reem Kherici and actress Alice Belaïdi and made some derogatory remarks about singer Jill Scott. Actress Alice Belaïdi stated that she named her dog Jill because she look like Jill Scott. The host Yann Barthès proceeded to put up a side by side photo of the singer and Belaïdi dog. Researches who have examined the relationship between exposure (in particular, repetitive exposure to stimuli) and affective response have reported results that can be categorized into two broad categories. First, a number of studies report an inverted "U" relationship between exposure to stimuli (ranging from nonsense syllables to advertisements) and affect (Crandall, Montgomery and Ress 1973;Kail and Freeman 1973; Zajonc Crandall, Kail and Swap 1974, Anand and Sternthal 1990; Calder and Sternthal 1980). The prevailing explanation is the "two factor theory" that states two opposite psychological processes: positive habitation and tedium mediate the relationship between exposure and affect(Berlyne 1970). Positive habitation is defined as a reduction in uncertainty or conflict in a person's mind (Cacioppo and Petty 1979). Repeated exposure leads to more opportunities to learn about the stimuli thereby reducing uncertainty and this learning is presumably rewarding and leads to increased affect towards the stimulus (upward portion of the inverted U). The decline of affect (downward portion of U) results from the tedium of repeated exposures to the stimulus. Tedium is defined as a state of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
