Dear Affiliates,
It’s a start of July and we are still waiting for Rain to arrive which
is quite late. A weak monsoon is already sending food prices
shooting up and sparking inflation.The price of onions has
climbed over 20% in the past weeks.
Now that new government is formed, all eyes are set on the
Union Budget 2014-15, which will be presented by Finance
Minister in the second week of July. People from all industries
are waiting keenly for the Union Budget.
Having said that the Finance Minister has to address key and pressing concerns faced by the country.
The growth rate, which is heading south, and inflation which is heading north, need to be taken care of on an
urgent basis.
Real estate industry is expecting following things from the budget:
Reduction of taxes and removal of service taxes, which significantly increases the price of a property and
burdens the common man.
Reduction of repo rates and in turn, the rate of interest on home loans.
Providing an‘industry’status to the realty sector. Once it acquires that status, then interest rates by the
banks to the sector will be different. As a result, it will reduce the interest rates that they charge to the
real estate sector.
Provision of a single-window clearance for project approvals.The current process for project approvals is
very tedious and there is no transparency in the system. A single-window clearance will help the sector
in the long run.
Amid all these, RE/MAX MGM marches ahead with its renewed marketing efforts and after successful FRO
in Mumbai in May 2014, RE/MAX MGM organized seminars on ChangingTrends in Real Estate in Nashik and
Ahmedabad. It was back to back 3 seminars in a day and people wanting to know about Changing trends in
real estate attended the same.
RE/MAX MGM will participate in FRO in Pune on July 12 and 13th followed by Follow-up events.
On more exciting news to share about all of you are that on the auspicious day of rath yatra we did more than
25 transaction which defines our strength in the network and hard work of our affiliates.
Overall this month was very happening for RE/MAX MGM.

Event on Changing Trends in Real Estate in Nashik
RE/MAX MGM did an event on Changing Trends in Real Estate in Nashik,
Maharashtra on June 7, 2014.
The event was held at Hotel Sarovar Portico in 3 session back
to back in a day. All the sessions recorded full attendance
and the attendees patiently heard Manan Choksi, Regional
Director of RE/MAX MGM about changing trends in real estate
and how RE/MAX comes into picture and plays a vital role in
these changing trends.
To make people aware about this event RE/MAX MGM had
done various marketing efforts. RE/MAX MGM sent out 45000
WhatsApp messages, 60000 SMS, 1 lac external Emailing,
2 newspaper advertisements, 100 emails to own database,
voice calls 6000 nos. By doing this RE/MAX MGM reached out
to over 2 Lacs people making them aware about RE/MAX in
Nashik and surrounding areas.
RE/MAX MGM got tremendous response of all these efforts
and people turned out more than expected and many
inquiries were generated out of it. Most important thing
was, those who wanted to attend had to register online at
www.whatisremax.com and most people went online and
got themselves registered for the event. That also shows the
importance of using online tools in Real Estate Marketing.

Home buyers and sellers want results and RE/MAX agents have proven once again that they deliver. In the
2014 REALTrends“TheThousand,”as advertised in theWall Street Journal, RE/MAX had the most top home
sellers.The survey ranked the top 250 agents and top 250 teams by transaction sides.When the
500 transaction sides rankings for agents and teams are combined, RE/MAX agents hold the most places,
112 (one out of five places).The report ranks participating agents based on their 2013 production.

Credit rating firm CRISIL enters in Rajkot Real Estate
Sector and rates a Project
Credit rating firm CRISIL has entered into Rajkot’s real estate
sector and rated one real project in the city with giving
5 stars. CRISIL has rated real estate projects across various
cities in India including Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore,
Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Trivandrum, and
Visakhapatnam, Ahmedabad and Baroda.Patria, a residential
real estate project, coming up in city’s prime location known
as‘Govindbhai ni Vadi’near airport, has been rated with
5 stars by CRISIL.
Brahma Management to invest Rs 3,000 crore in Indian
real estate sector
NewYork-based Brahma Management has lined up big investments
for the Indian real estate market. Brahma, an FDI-funded investment
and asset management company, has already invested around Rs 2,500
crore in the sector and has plans to put in another Rs 3,000 crore over
the next two years.
So far, its investments in the realty sector include Gurgaon-based
projects Brahma City and Athena, andTheValley, a joint venture
township project in Panchkula.While Athena is a retail and commercial
office center, Brahma City is a gated township spread over 150 acres
of land. With a big presence in Gurgaon, the fund is now planning to
foray into other markets such as Bangalore and Mumbai.

group,onMondaylauncheditsnewbusinessvertical‘Happinest’that
willfocusondevelopingaffordablehousingprojects.
The first two projects under the new vertical will be
developed at Avadi in Chennai and Boisar in Mumbai and
would be priced between Rs 10-20 lakh.These apartments
would have an area ranging between 400-600 sqft.

Calling for major reforms in housing sector, HDFC chairman
Deepak Parekh has said transparency and timely approvals from
different authorities can reduce home prices by almost 20 per cent.
Mr Parekh also pitched for banks and housing finance
companies being allowed to fund land transactions during
periods when there was“no real estate bubble”.
He laid emphasis on the need to increase the threshold limit for
priority sector housing loans to at least Rs. 40 lakh per unit, from
the current“unrealistic”level of up to Rs. 25 lakh.
“When there is no real estate bubble, as is currently the case,
then banks and housing finance companies should be allowed
to fund land transactions,”he said, as property transactions costs
comprise almost 70-80 per cent of the total cost.
