up.
Each player takes 4 dominos.
Theremaining dominoes areleft onthe table (these are
the "sleeping" dominoes).

DOMINO GAME
Playing: The first player places one of his dominoes (right-side up) on the table.
The second player tries to put a domino on the table that matches one side of what's
already there.
In this game about cellular organelles, pictures should match the text.
If a player cannot go, the player picks a domino from the pile and skips that turn.
Students continue taking turns putting dominoes on the board (or picking one from
the pile if they cannot go) until someone wins.
Winning: The winner is the first person to get rid of all of their dominoes. But if no
one can go out, then the person with the fewest dominoes left is the winner.

• Thentakean empty chair - one for eachteam -and put it at the front of theclass, facing the team members. These
chairs are the'hot seats’.
• Thenget one memberfrom each team to come upand sit inthat chair,so they arefacing their team-mates and
havetheirback to theboard.
• As the teacher, havea list of vocabularyitems that youwant to use inthis game.
• Takethe first word from that list and write it clearly onthe board.

seat.
