  1. Sometimes good things happen by accident GetJar didn’t start as a commercial business. It started as a Beta Testing community. Ilja was developing apps, and needed help testing. He decided to use a Wikipedia model, combining developers with Beta testers. Then the beta testers told their friends about GetJarConsumers started downloading not to test, but just to have the apps.
