LibreOffice and MSOffice2013 can read and write
doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pps, pptx
LibreOffice and MSOffice2013 can read and write ODF (Open Document Format)
files
but the MSOffice2013 default is to save in its own 'Transitional' OOXML
LibreOffice can directly export a Hybrid PDF file, MSOffice2013 cannot
(a Hybrid PDF has an embedded ODF for full editing)
LibreOffice can read MS Visio and MS Publisher files into its applications
for MS Visio in MSOffice2013 you need buy the separate MS Visio

Run LibreOffice can run some Excel Visual Basic scripts
Preserve Edit the file contents but leave the macro unaltered
Delete Open the document and delete the macro
Edit Revise the VBA to LO Basic in the provided editor
