Theme Song
“A Path to Peace and Bliss”
4. 4
May we walk
The Middle Way
The Middle Way or The Noble 8-Fold Path
is the best of Paths to Walk in life…
Ehipassiko! (‘Come and See’!)
5. 5
The Path to Peace
True Peace Lies Within the Mind.
Developing the mind, wisdom will grow
and then peace will arise in the mind.
6. 6
The Path to Happiness
True Happiness is not the outside transitory
sensual pleasures which lead to Dukkha.
Real Happiness is that mental state arising
from spiritual cultivation.
7. 7
The Path to Freedom
When the Mind is free from the defilements of
Greed, Hatred and Delusion, that’s Liberation,
ending Dukkha.
8. 8
It is a world of loss and gain
When one cannot accept the inevitability of
loss and gain in Samsara,
one is bound to suffer. Gain and Loss are
transitory, they will change or come to pass.
9. 9
It is a world of joy and pain
Life has its moments
of happiness and
sorrow.
The Wise embrace
them peacefully
knowing this is
Nature.
Learn to be patient
and endure the
hardship and pain. It
will pass.
10. 10
We are all caught
in praise and blame
Even The Buddha, The Fully Enlightened One, was
not free from blame. What more is there to say
about we worldlings so full of faults.
Learn not to react when negative things are hurled
at us. Respond in calm, positive and wise ways.
11. 11
There is dishonor,
there is fame
In our conditioned world, no fame, power or
status lasts forever. Things change according
to conditions.
Wise ones don’t attach or cling to such
impermanent states. Craving and attachment
cause suffering.
12. 12
We spin in this Samsaric wheel
For aeons of time we have been born, have
aged, become sick, have died and been reborn
again and again … suffering in this Cycle of Life
and Death.
13. 13
Oh, when will
all suffering heal?
All Suffering will only end when the root cause is
eradicated: Ignorance and Craving
14. 14
Happiness and freedom
we need
The Goal of Buddhists is
to be Liberated from
Samsaric Suffering, to
attain the true
Happiness, Peace and
Bliss of Nibbana
15. 15
Oh, when will we
the Dhamma heed?
Caught or trapped by Mara in the worldly
indulgences of the senses, not many would seek
the Way to end all Dukkha … until they fall into
great suffering and SEE Dukkha.
16. 16
There is a
state where all
pains cease
This State is
Nibbana, the
Unconditioned,
Unborn State of
Ultimate Peace, Bliss
and Happiness
17. 17
There is a Path to
Peace and Bliss
This Path is The Noble 8-Fold Path which consists of
* Sila (Morality)
* Samadhi ( Concentration / Stillness)
* Panna (Wisdom )
18. 18
It is The Noble
Eightfold Way
May we strive on
ardently along this
Path.
May we practice the
Dhamma most
diligently.
19. 19
