themselves and is debilitated by someone else's capacities. The underlying cause of why someone
may feel threatened by others success is due to insecurity. This can influence individuals who lack

well–being that can lead to a mentally destructive path. Jealousy can end the possibility of

difficulty to feel comfortable in your skin can drastically affect yourself of esteem. Insecurity is a
direct cause of jealousy that can further affect future interactions with other individuals.
Relationships can drastically be affected by someone that holds a personality trait such as jealousy.
With jealousy comes trust issues, that can further form problems during the span of a relationship.
At times, it is natural to feel that instinct of jealousy but to a certain extent. Someone who is not
confident, usually compares themselves to others and constantly questions their partners
commitment to them. Jealousy can also lead you to have hidden motives of making your partner
feel insecure. For example, a woman who feels insecure, will constantly flirt with other men to get a
reaction from her boyfriend. This behavior is caused by a constant feeling of low self–confidence.
Isolation of your partner occurs when you worry that your partner will make the most of their chance
with other individuals rather than you. Instead of being supportive and loving towards your partner,
you grow this resentment towards them. Wanting for yourself what you would want for others only
impacts your mind in a positive manner. When you resent someone's happiness you are left in a
bitter state of mind. This uncertainty can create a negative environment, that can be detrimental to

Jealousy can be explained as an envious or bitter attitude toward someone or some thing. Most
will stop and really consider the effects of it on their outlooks on life. When people think of
jealousy they associate it with negative. This multifaceted emotion can be positive as it could
cause one to strive for better. However a trait such as this one can destroy your life if you let it take
over. Some may ask what drives jealousy because they don't understand why the other cares so
much when they don't. Jealousy finds a way to creep into our lives without our own realization and
can have short or long term effects. Jealousy affects everyone who has it in a different way, either,
emotionally, physically, or psychologically. Any strongemotion felt by a human would take a toll
and will definitely be transparent in a person. The consumption of jealousy destroys relationships,
affects social lives, and affects roles in everyday life.
Everyone's life revolves around social actions, with that comes relationships. Jealousy can take a
toll on anyone's involvement with another person. I watched this happen first hand and not only
did it affect the people in the situation, but me. I remember the night so vividly like I'm still there
in that moment. My dad and mom had been together for eleven years and everything to me seemed
great, but what would I know I was only four. He got upset because a friend of my mom's had been
texting her and as anyone would, he got suspicious. A highly social

91% of men admitted to having at least one fantasy murder and fantasy about killing sexual rivals in

How jealousy creates crimes Camden Johnson was killed by his older brother because he was
born. The older brother dropped Camden on his head three times while his mother was out
running errands. After dropping Camden on the head he tried to wake him up by pouring water
on top of his head. Camden died from the injuries he received from his older brother. The motive
behind why the brother killed his little brother is because the infant was receiving more attention
than him. The brother was only eleven years old and himself was still a child and took another
life. The mother was also charged for leaving two children alone but the child was charged with a
felony (Hansen 1). Next, jealous teenager murdered his best friend and dumped the body in a
grave. A love triangle that didn't end quite smoothly. Pedro girlfriend ended the relationship with
them two after three years together. The girlfriend felt a relief and moved away to a college with
his best friend. Pedro was infatuated with his ex–girlfriend. Pedro was going to do anything to get
her back including killing his best friend Christian. As Christian kept blowing off seeing Pedro when
he finally caved in, his life was taking. After Pedro killed his best friend he then asked his phone
how to get rid of the body (Gail 1). Lastly, Makeva Jones posted on social media how her bank

Essay on Othello; Jealousy
Throughout Shakespeare's Othello, the major theme of jealousy is apparent. The tragedy Othello
focuses on the doom of Othello and the other major characters as a result of jealousy. In
Shakespeare's Othello, jealousy is portrayed through the major characters of Iago and Othello. It
utterly corrupts their lives because it causes Iago to show his true self, which in turn triggers Othello
to undergo an absolute conversion that destroys the lives of their friends.
Othello represents how jealousy, particularly sexual jealousy, is one of the most corrupting and
destructive of emotions. It is jealousy that prompts Iago to plot Othello's downfall; jealousy, too, is
the tool that Iago uses to arouse Othello's passions. Roderigo and Bianca...show more content...
Lovingly he sighs, "Excellent wretch! Perdition catch my soul, / But I do love thee! and when I
love thee not, / Chaos is come again" (90–92).
A conversation follows between Othello and Iago, in which Iago continues to imply that he knows
something that he refuses to divulge, Othello denies that he would give himself over to jealousy. In
his denial, he shows himself most vulnerable. He is consumed with doubt and suspicion. Othello
voices his old fears that Brabantio was right, that it was unnatural for Desdemona to love him, that
he was too horrible to be loved, and that it could not last. Iago leaves, and Othello contemplates his
situation: He could be tricked, married to a woman who is already looking at other men, and he
fears that he must wipe her out of his heart. He tries to tell himself that it is not true.
Iago also urges Othello to recall that Desdemona deceived her own father by marrying Othello. To
Brabantio, Desdemona pretended to be afraid of Othello's dark looks; she pretended to shake and
tremble at Othello's exotic demeanor, yet "she lov'd them [Othello's features] most" (207). The
implication is clear; Iago does not have to state it: If Desdemona deceived her own flesh and blood,
she might just as naturally deceive her husband.
When Desdemona re–enters, Othello's aspect is changed; he watches her intently, looking for signs,
and brushes away her handkerchief when she seeks to sooth him. They
