Anita Alfaro Research Paper
"Anita Alfaro"
The person I interviewed is Anita Alfaro. I am related to this person because she is my mother. Anita was born March 2,1974. She was born in the
Wood County Hospital which is located in Bowling Green Ohio. Anita's parents are Linda and Harvey Taft. She has three other siblings. She has
an older brother Dean Taft and two younger brothers, Jerry Taft and Jeffery (Jeff) Taft. Anita had lived in North Baltimore, Jerry City, and she is
currently living in Rudolph. She had attended North Baltimore and Elmwood school district. Anita has blue eyes and she has short brown/blond hair.
My mom had a cool childhood when she was younger. One lesson that Anita learned the hard way when growing was that girls are not always treated
the same way as boys are treated. Anita left her house to live on her own at the age of 19. She lived in a trailer (mobile home) with her future
husband. Anita had to work to live in the trailer to support herself and her husband. When Anita was living on her own with her husband, she had...

says that her mom (Linda Taft) gave her the most influence during her life. She showed that you can do anything that you put your mind to. Anita took
more than on vacations in her life. Some vacations she went to is Disney World, Wisconsin Dells, Hersheypark U.S.A, GraceLand, Las Vegas, and

The Kent State Massacre Essay
On May 4, 1970 at approximately 12:24 PM members of the Ohio National Guard shot at and killed several unarmed Kent State University students.
These students were protesting President Nixon's decision to invade Cambodia. While some of the students who were shot at were actively protesting
at the time of the shooting, others were simply walking by or casually observing the protest from a distance. How could an appalling incident like this
occur? What possessed the members of the Ohio National Guard to shoot at unarmed students? In order to fully understand the circumstances
surrounding the Kent State Massacre, it is important to back track several days and establish a timeline of events leading up to the massacre. On April

It is interesting to note there was a stark contrast between day and night activities in the city of Kent. During the day, guardsmen casually patrolled and
went about business as usual. In fact, there were even reports that throughout the daytime hours students would have long, peaceful conversations with
the guardsmen. However, at night, the violence would break out while mass protests were held, forcing the students and guardsmen to quickly retreat
to opposite sides. Once again, on the evening of May 3, non–lethal force was used and people were arrested as the guardsmen again struggled to take
control of the violence erupting in the city of Kent Ohio. Earlier in the weekend, university officials banned all protests and assemblies on campus.
Students ignored this ruling and began congregating around eleven AM for the scheduled twelve noon protest. When the protest began, a Kent State
police officer patrolled the campus with several guardsmen in a jeep announcing that the protest was illegal and everyone must leave the campus
immediately. In response to this dispersion call, the students became violent, throwing rocks and attacking the jeep. The general in charge of the
guardsmen in Kent, General Canterbury, ordered the guardsmen to arm themselves and fire tear gas in an attempt to disperse the crowd. As the crowd of

Sparkle Effect Program Research Paper
While being enrolled in College Credit Plus, I have had the opportunity to take dual credit classes that have better prepared me for rigorous college
level work. Although half of my classes are college taught, I have still been able to maintain a strong connection to my high school and the
extracurricular courses it has to offer. Academics courses are very important to me however, one of my favorite parts of the day is being able to play
in the schools highest orchestra group: Sinfonia. I am thankful to be a part of the College Credit Plus program because of the time management skills
and preparation it has given me to be a successful college student.
I am a dedicated member of the High School Cheerleading Squad. Overall, the most rewarding part is cheering with kids in The Sparkle Effect
Program. The Sparkle Effect is a national program that gives students with disabilities the opportunity (they deserve) to cheer at Friday night football
games. This program is truly amazing because of how unique it is, and the significant role it has played throughout our school. The Sparkle Effect has

prepare me to be a competitive and well rounded applicant for medical school because of the prestigious professors who give students the tools and

The Lack Of Promotion For College Students Essay
Consequence
Due to the lack of promotion to college students (especially international students), Athens Farmers Market (AFM) seems to ignore a large potential
market of students. This problem not only indicates a potential market that AFM missed and ignored, it also brings other possible consequences if
AFM keeps doing so. For example, in most cases, consumers tend to purchase at the same grocery store, which can be categorized as brand loyalty.
However, college students in Athens are more likely to purchase at AFM's competitors (Walmart, Kroger) due to AFM's fewer opening hours and
distance. But Deighton et al. (1994) indicates that advertising can have effective influences on brand switching, which would apply to AFM as students
start to purchase products at AFM instead of Walmart repeatedly. Further, Walmart (or Kroger) as one of the largest supermarkets in the retail industry
can compete and restrict the customer base of AFM. Thus, advertising to students, a major group of potential consumers in Athens, would help AFM's
development in several aspects including customer base, reputation, and profitability.
Third Criteria: Advertising Effectiveness
Cost and convenience are indeed important to comparison and evaluation different methods used for AFM's advertisements to student. But effectiveness
(the effect measured or expected from different advertising methods used) can also be crucial to decision making on advertising strategies of AFM.

REI is an acronym Recreational Equipment Inc. This is an American retail and free services corporation that aims at providing fun to the citizens of
America at large. It is one of the best service providers when it comes to hiking, camping, sporting and other traveling equipment.
The U.S economy is growing rapidly and therefore it has affect any business organization of a firm. The current economic state affects the retail
services of REI in the following ways. The U.S. Economy has truly possessed the capacity to mitigate the effect of downturns in local retail buyer
spending. This is because of substantial exchange with outside countries. The consequence of this is retailers are encountering noteworthy decreases in
deals because of individuals taking care of on their outgoings and furrowing into their properties or somewhere else, consequently the economy

have reduced the rate at which they purchase or search for REI services since they are a bit expensive. It is obvious that the company will have to
cope with some changes. (Reis et al, 2016)

Miami University Research Paper
Over the next few months, many high school seniors will be making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. This is no different for myself, as I
will be attending college within the next year. College is the place that you can go to enhance your education in order to succeed in your career
choice. The two colleges that I am looking at are Miami University and the University of Cincinnati. When I attend one of these two universities, I will
be going into their pre–medical program while majoring in another area that I am interested in. Both of these colleges are essentially the same in
terms of acceptance rates into medical school and majors. My main concern is with how my daily life will go at these places. Along with the daily life of
college I am also looking at the campus in general and all of the activities that I can do. Both of the colleges are very good, however I would have
to choose Miami University over the University of Cincinnati because it fits me better overall. With the many choices that go with college, one of the
most important decisions is what you want to do. For me, I have decided to go into the medical field. Miami University and the University of
Cincinnati both have very good pre med programs. In order to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Persuasive Essay About Life After College
Finding Home "What do you want to do after graduation?" is a pretty common question that the students in Class of 2018 seem to hear on a daily
basis. Some students know exactly what their plans are, while others have no idea. Being one who has known what my post–high school plans are for
quite some time and knowing that I want to earn a Strategic Communications degree from Ohio University, I am able to begin thinking about life after
college. One of the biggest decisions a person will need to make almost immediately after college is deciding where to start their life. I have
thought about staying in Findlay, my hometown, but have also really contemplated moving to Cleveland or one of its surrounding suburbs. While
both Findlay and Cleveland are great places to live, finding a job and settling down in Findlay, rather than residing in the Cleveland area, is the
better option for me because of the opportunities it offers. Coming back to Findlay after graduating from college is the most ethical choice for me
because of the jobs the town has to offer. With a Strategic Communications degree, one living in the Findlay area can get a job working as a
Recruiting Specialist at Automatic Data Processing's Recruitment Process Outsourcing office, as an Investor Relations Manager at Cooper Tire and
Rubber Company, or as the director of Visit Findlay, thecity and county's Convention and Visitors Bureau, once the position opens up

Descriptive Essay About My Experience
New Beginnings I love butterflies; they are beautiful creatures who dance around the sky as their wings flutter gracefully through the air. Butterflies
floating in nature are amazing! However, when they are spinning circles in your stomach, they are nauseating. That is how I felt as I prepared for my
visit to the Coshocton County Court of Common Pleas. It was a warm muggy day and the air felt thick like it was going to rain. I walked down
Main Street in Coshocton, past the gym that I frequently visit, and across the street. There I stood in front of a tall, cement gray building. My friend,
Tessa, had arranged my appointment to be a spectator at a hearing for Family Drug Court. I did not know what to expect, and I felt like a fish ... Show

The light gave off a bright glow which made me think of those detective movies where the investigator interrogates suspects in a darkened room.
My eyes scanned around the walls and I saw photographs of judges from the past posed in their black robes, framed in the same cherry wood that
trimmed the room. Beautiful marble embellished the elevated platform that was located in the front and center part of the triangular shaped
room. This platform was the bench where the Honorable Judge Van Blanchard II would be appearing. Finally, Judge Blanchard walked into the
chamber and calmly sat down. As he entered, the room grew quiet. He looked kind and gentle, had white hair with gray peppered through it, and
had a pleasant smile. He glanced in my direction, noticing that someone new was in the room, and again I felt like all eyes were on me. It was
then that my friend, whom had been hidden from my view behind her computer, popped up from her chair and introduced me to the onlookers. I
stood up and thanked Judge Blanchard for allowing me to sit in to observe the case and explained why I was there. As quietly as I could, I sat back
down into my squeaky chair, and the room filled with noisy discussion once again. Like a busy stock–trading center, the caseworkers started
conversing back and forth with the judge. They would review each case and give their professional opinion of how their clients were reacting to the

The Law And Emerging Technology
Physical borders and boundaries do not define cyberspace, which makes it a complete contradiction to the apparent lines separating States, and the
jurisdiction of the courts. The internet is an array of network capabilities that allow computers around the globe to share and distribute electronic data.
The internet also continues to be the driving force for new forms of communication and contact between people who remain separated by state and
even national boundaries. As the Internet becomes more interactive, the complexity of an individual's legal rights becomes critical by examining the
interaction of the law and emerging technology. Personal jurisdiction by definition is based solely on the geographical location of a particular court, ...

The computer software generated by subscribers, often referred to as "shareware," produces funds only if other subscribers decide to pay for the

How Ultra 's Customer Database Meets The Not Generally...
II.Not Generally Known or Readily Ascertainable
C A court is likely to find that Ultra's customer database meets the not generally known or readily ascertainable element.
RIn determining whether information is not generally known or readily ascertainable, courts consider the following two Restatement factors: "the
extent to which the information is known outside of the business" and "the ease or difficulty with which the information could be properly acquired or
duplicated by others." Al Minor, 117Ohio St. 3d at 61 (citing Plain Dealer, 80 Ohio St. 3d at 524–25).
To determine whether the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable is if a trade secret owner "collected and/or compiled the
information from a variety of sources, thus this may support a finding that the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable." Salemi,
145 Ohio St. 3d at В¶29.
To determine whether a customer list is not generally known, it "ordinarily includes not only the name of a business or person but also information that
is not generally available to the public, such as the name of a contact person, a non–public telephone or cell phone number, an email address, and other
data known only because of the relationship with the client." Salemi, 2014–Ohio–3914 at В¶18 (citing Columbus Bookkeeping, 2011 Ohio App. LEXIS

Inventor History
Procter and Gamble is a company which were presented in 1837. William Procter worked as a general store apprentice when he was a little boy. The
day after it opened, his store got robbed, leaving him $8000 in debt. He and his wife decided to immigrate to the United States, but Mrs.Procter died a
few months after they had arrived. William Procter decided to use what he knew about candle makers to earn extra income to help pay off his debt. He
started selling, making, and delivering candles to customers. James Gamble was ill and was taken ashore in Cincinnati. As he recovered, at age 18 he
started an apprenticeship when he met a soap maker that was near by. Some years after, James Gamble opened his own soap and candle shop with his

Roman women were washing their clothes in the River Tiber, below which animal fats from the sacrifices ran down into the river and created a soapy
clay mixture. They found out that using the same cleansing substance, their clothes were getting cleaner, easier. From that time we know soap as soap
(soap history.net). After the founding of "soap" from the Babylonians, the Egyptians also bathed regularly. They made soap by combining animal and
vegetable oils that contain alkaline salts so it can make a soap–like material but they used it for treating skin diseases and also for washing. At about
that exact time, Moses gave personal laws to the Israelites, and he also said cleanliness to health and religious purification were very related. Then
the Israelites knew that mixing ashes and oils made a type of gel. The Greeks did not use soap like the Babylonians, or the Egyptians. They used many
blocks of clay, sand, pumice and ashes to clean themselves. Soap got its name, from an ancient Roman legend, that was from Mount Sapo. As Roman
Civilization advanced over time, so did bathing. In 312 B.C, Romans built their first baths with water from their aqueducts. Their baths were luxurious

Life After High School
Life after high school can be one of the most difficult decisions in your life. And it is not just one decision, the college you choose can alter many
aspects of your life. When you attempt to choose a school to go to you have to take into consideration many things. You have to know the major
you want to go for, the minors, location, tuition cost, et cetera. I have so many options for the next step in my life. For this paper, however, I have
narrowed it down to two options: Miami University and the University of Cincinnati. It is a close race between the two, but based on my recent
visit to Miami going there for college would be the better option for my future. Money is an issue for mostly all college students, everyone is
always worried about the debt they will obtain by going through schooling and how they are going to pay it off. Unless someone can get a full ride
scholarship, you are going to have to owe money to the university you go to. My solution is that I will be making enough money after college to
pay it off pretty quickly so I do not have to owe too much money throughout my life. Miami tuition is around $15,000 and room and board is around
$13,000 so the total is somewhere close to $28,000 ("2017 Cohort"). Cincinnati tuition is $11,000 and room and board can be from $11,000 to
$13,000, so between $22,000 and $24,000 would be the total ("UC Facts"). I intend to get scholarships through various companies or associations to
bring the total price per year down.

would also tell the incoming freshman to make sure that they love the major they are pursuing and if they don't it isn't a big deal to change it.
Being a freshman it is intimidating definitely seeing all of the older people with their life all figured out, but it will all workout in the end and be
worth it. I can personally say that my first semester of college did not end the way that I planned on it going, but it's a lesson learned and I am fixing
my mistakes and starting fresh 2nd semester. A few of my goals that I would like to accomplish for next semester are to get a 3.5 gpa, to figure out the
path and career I would like to go down, and to be successful with whatever I do. I believe that these are all good goals because they all lead to
success. Success to me is a big thing, the way I can achieve my other two goals is by being successful, if I study hard, go to class and complete all the
tasks given to me then I will get good grades and be able to find the career that I want to have when I am older and get on the right track. I believe that

Observation Experience : An Outdoor Center Essay
Observation Experience:
Comments: If you are not familiar with Greene Town center, start reading from the Background section otherwise skip to the Observation section.
I had two hypotheses: first hypothesis, people come to the Greene Town Center for shopping and entertainment which is almost correct. The second
hypothesis, many kids are wearing Halloween costumes since my observation in the Halloween weekend. Unfortunately, there are no kids were wearing
Halloween costumes.
Observation group dynamics and interaction among people in groups are interesting to me. I like to analyze people's behavior and interactions with

Background: Many people in Dayton city or its neighbors like to go to Greene Town Center (called The Greene) especially in the summer session or
nice weather days. The Greene is a mixed–use development center, which its main advantage is an outdoor center. The Greene has more than one
hundred shops and restaurants as well as luxury living apartments and several services such as nail salon, spa, and a hair salon. The Greene is a civic
center that has weekly events such as music bands for kids and adults. The Greene is great for shopping, dining, and entertainment, also for the family
gathering or business meeting.

Growing up in central Ohio there are several things that you will see on a regular basis. One of these items in a buckeye, it is the symbol of the

to individuals from Ohio as buckeyes as well. What is a buckeye and where does it come from? The buckeye tree, which is also, known as Aesculus

The trees aren't going to be the tallest in the forest. They are usually 30–40 foot tall and 3–4 foot tall. The trees reach maturity with in 60–80 years of
age and most often living upwards of 100 years of age. Like I previously mention the buckeye tree blooms early in the spring. Flowers are a white to
yellow–greenish color and form in small clusters. Each flower will produce 1–2 seeds that will produce up to 5 nuts each inside the capsule. The
capsule is a pale yellow color that is spiny. The tree is one of the earliest to lose their leaves in the fall turning to a nice yellow and red color before
falling off. The buckeye tree has learned to adapt pretty well for survival. Its short stature means that it usually has taller trees in the forest towering
over it. While it can grow in the shade it prefers to be in open clusters or along streambeds in moisture rich soil. It has also shown great resistance to
fungus and disease. There are only six known diseases that affect the tree. One of the most common and most serious problems that the buckeye tree
will experience is leaf scorch. Most likely caused by drought conditions or pollution. The buckeye tree is polygamo–monoecious. The flower clusters at
the base of the branch are fertile and can reproduce while the flowers further up the branch are staminate. A few other interesting things that I learned
when doing the research on the buckeye tree

Akron Zoo Negotiation
One example in particular started early on in the process when two or three precinct 3–E pastors vocally opposed Issues 23 and 24. "They felt like the
community was only doing things for the Akron Zoo, as in, they felt like the community was always putting together efforts that would only benefit
us," Criss said. This feedback from the pastors came after two town hall meetings organized by councilwoman Sommervile. "I think that's when we
decided that we needed to sit down with these religious leaders to facilitate a conversation about what passing the issues meant," Barnhardt said.
Because the Akron Zoo felt that the pastors in the targeted area were opinion leaders, a one–on–one conversation was chosen to facilitate an open
dialogue about the issues. Both Criss and Barnhardt felt that the open conversation with the pastors allowed for clearing up confusion and
misconceptions about what Issues 23 and 24 would mean for the zoo if passed. Criss commented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

negative press from an Akron Beacon Journal reporter. After one meeting, a reporter called Barnhardt with questions for a feature article in the Akron

Youngstown
Since its introduction as a state in 1803, Ohio has developed a rich history of economic success until the late 20th century. Ohio over the 20th century
has been a major victim of deindustrialization. Youngstown, Ohio like most towns in the rust belt was hit hard during the 20th century by
deindustrialization. In their book, 'Steeltown USA Work and Memory inYoungstown' does a fantastic job of telling the story of this historical town that
was one of the leaders in steel producing that believed in hard–work turned into a town that was at the top on the crime boards. After the book's
introduction, the authors get into the first chapter, which is one that I enjoyed the most because it involved geography. The authors produce a

This chapter provides a good history of Youngstown from the early 1980's to the early 2000s with a lot focus on the rising crimes that plagued the
town. The authors in this chapter at the beginning talks about how the view of Youngstown went from this image deindustrialization to an image of a
crime infested and political corrupted town (Pg. 190). Linkon and Russo put a lot of focus on the many stereotypes of Youngstown with most of them
holding truth. These stereotypes that read involved murder, poverty, mafia involvement, and corrupted politicians. The Vindicator reported that
Youngstown during the 1990's had one of the highest murder rates for a city over fifty thousand (Pg. 193). The chapter goes into more detail about the
white–color crimes, and the political corruption through the mob as the chapter goes on. In 1998, George Magazine listed Youngstown as one the ten
most corrupted cities in American, which only added to the title of 'Crime Town, USA' (Pg. 213). Although this chapter highlights the negative aspects
that came from the deindustrialization in Youngstown,Ohio, it really is telling the story of most towns that are inside the rust belt. So, as a person who
has been to Portsmouth, Cleveland, and Columbus I have seen what deindustrialization has done to this once great

Tower Bridge Research Paper
London is iconic for many things Big Ben, red telephone booths, double decker buses, and Tower Bridge. Built in 1884, Tower Bridge a staple of
London. Pryor to the building of Tower Bridge, London Bridge was the only way to cross the Thames river. By the nineteenth century, the
population of London had grown much too large for one bridge, however there was a challenge as to how to build the bridge without disrupting river
traffic. In 1876 a "Special Bridge Committee" was formed to oversee the designing and building of the bridge. The committee decided to open the
designing up for public competition. Over fifty designs were submitted and the committee filtered through them until they discovered one that they
liked. The chosen design was created by Horace Jones, the city architect, and John Wolfe Barry ("Bridge History"). Construction began in October of
1884. Two gigantic piers were driven into the river bed to support the eleven–thousand tons of steel and granite that were used to construct Tower
Bridge. The project took eight years, five contractors, and over four–hundred thirty construction workers every day to complete. When it was first
completed, Tower Bridge was the most largest and most complex bascule bridge ever built. The large bascules were raised and lowered by large
hydraulic cylinders that were powered by massive steam engines and boilers. The bridge remained this way until 1976 when it was updated to be ran
with oil and electricity ("History of Tower Bridge").

Poverty In Ohio Region Analysis
I.Introduction "Poverty is about not having enough money to meet basic needs including food, clothing and shelter" ("What is Poverty," 2016). In the
United States, there are 45 million Americans are living in poverty ("45 Million Americans," 2014). In order to determine if one is living in poverty,
the United States Census Bureau has established a poverty line that they then measure, according to the individual's income and their family size
("Poverty Thresholds," 2016; "Poorest Cities in America," 2016). Since the recession in 2008, many states have seen a rise of families living in
poverty. Poverty is a vicious cycle and has devastating effects on young children.

The Short North Posse terrorized the Wienland Park neighborhood since the early 1990's. The north side gang became so entrenched in violence, local
police and prosecutors teamed up with the Federal Bureau of Investigation an issued the largest federal murder indictment in history in the state of
Ohio. The Columbus Dispatch reported that in 2014, "Law enforcement around central Ohio, collaborated with the FBI on a two–year investigation
that lead to a twenty–five count indictment that included 11 murder charges." A person could possibly entertain the idea that since the gang members
were indicted and brought to justice, the system is running a course and the problem is under control. Nevertheless, the majority of sensible people
might successfully flirt with the notion that if Columbus had a well–established anti–gang program throughout the community, these nine men and two
women would have never lost their lives to senselessness. Gangs such as the Short North Posse, that often referred themselves as the "Cut Throat

Summary Of AinT I A Woman
'Ain't I A Woman' is a speech given by a woman named Sojourner Truth. Her real name was Isabella Baumfree. She was born into slavery in 1797.
Her childhood was spent on a New York estate owned by a Dutch American named Colonel Johannes Hardenbergh. She experienced the miseries of
being sold and mistreated. Around 1815, she fell in love wih a fellow slave named Robert, but Robert's master forced them apart. Then, she was
forced to marry a slave named Thomas and they had five children. After her master failed to keep his promise to free her in 1827, Isabella ran away.
Isabella was experiencing a religious conversion before she became an itinerant preacher and decided to change her name to Sojourner Truth. She
became involved in the antislavery movement, and by the 1850s she was involved in the woman's rights movement as well. She became one of the most
powerful advocates for human rights in the nineteenth century. She delivered this speech at the 1851 Women's Rights Convention held inAkron, Ohio.
After that, she continued to speak out for the rights of African Americans and women during and after the Civil War. Sojourner Truth died in Battle
Creek, Michigan, in 1883. In 'Ain't I a Woman', Sojourner speaks on the inequalities that women and blacks faced at that time in America. This
speech has a powerful message and became so famous afterwards. In the beginning of her speech, she used the word 'children' to her audiences.
Maybe Sojourner wanted to build a connection between her and her audiences. By calling them 'children', it made them feels like they were listening
to their mother. In her speech she said, "That man over there says that women need to be helped into carriages, and lifted over ditches, and to have the
best place everywhere. Nobody ever helps me into carriages, or over mud–puddles, or gives me any best place! And ain't I a woman? Look at me!
Look at my arm! I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me! And ain't I a woman? I could work as much and
eat as much as a man – when I could get it – and bear the lash as well! And ain't I a woman?" She wanted to say that she, as a woman, can do as much
work as man. Man did

Middle School Are Essential For The Success Of Students
For me, middle school was probably the most excruciating years of my life. I thought it was only me and everyone else had it easy and completely
understood everything that was happening to their bodies and minds. In fact, I still have dreams about my middle school years like forgetting my
locker combination or hiding in the bathroom stall because the most popular girls were gossiping about a friend of yours. The settings in these dreams
are always my middle school; I find it amazing that thirty years after I attended school that I can remember vivid details about the layout, hallways,
lockers, and teachers. The reason for this I believe is that for ALL students the middle school years are the most influential to shaping and becoming
who a person is and who they wish to become. Middle schools are essential for the success of students because of the unique developmental stages of
these students. For teachers, comprehension of young adolescent development is key to understanding the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and
moral needs and interests of these students (Powell, 2015, p. 55) and also teachers need to develop a curriculum that is focused on developing students
competence in all subject matter and using their knowledge and available resources to design, implement, and evaluate challenging, responsive
curriculums that result in meaningful learning outcomes (Powell, 2015, p. 145). All students should feel that they are accepted for who he or she is as an

to the restroom to wash my hands before the food arrived. The restroom was just as pristine as the rest of the restaurant, there were no giant globs of
soap all over the counter, they had high energy efficient hand dryers, and all toiletries were stocked. Even the mirrors were spotless! It's often said that
you can judge the cleanliness of a restaurant 's kitchen by the cleanliness of the restrooms. With the spotlessness of this restroom, I wasn't the least bit
worried about the cleanliness of the kitchen.
I returned back to the table not even five minutes later and our drinks, as well as our appetizers were served! I couldn't believe how fast it came.
We ordered spinach artichoke dip that was served in a bread bowl. I'd highly recommend this appetizer, it was truthfully life changing. As we

for as long as I can remember. So, when the time came for me to start really thinking about the rest of my life (i.e. life after high school and

Throughout my search, I have always known that continuing my education was extremely important to me. I'm a strong believer that education can

Political Action: Modernize the Nurse Practice Act
Healthcare reform and politics are on the forefront of most citizens throughout the United States. Our access to healthcare has become a barrier for
many citizens, and a hurdle for the advanced practiced registered nurses (APRN) throughout the years. Strict state laws have burdened APRNs and
limited their practice throughout Ohio. It would be prudent to follow suit of other states, and retire the Collaborative Agreement; Richards and Polsky
(2014) noted an immediate 20 to 30 percent increase in nurse practitioner providers in those particular states after it was retired. House Bill 216 (H.B.

contents and purpose will begin to unravel as I describe the meeting Naserin Salameh and I were able to connect with Representative Margaret Ann

Choosing a college is one of the most important decisions in a young adult's life. That is, of course, if someone is going to college. For me, I'm using
my last year of high school to come to the conclusion of where I want to attend college. There are plenty of college options, but I have narrowed it to
two colleges I would like to attend: Owens Community College and Bowling Green State University. Owens and Bowling Green are both great
options for me, but I believe I would have a better time and experience if I went to Bowling Green because there are many activities and
extracurriculars that I could be in.
In all reality, Owens, financially, would be the best option for me. It is way cheaper, and a lot... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bowling Green gives me the opportunity to enjoy my years at college while receiving an excellent education. It has my major, and lots of things to
do when I don't have class. Owens is a lovely school, but it's not the one for me. Bowling Green will make me happy while not spending way too
much. I'm very excited that I have already been accepted to BGSU and I can't wait to attend my first year at college as a

Anita Alfaro Research Paper

  • 1. Anita Alfaro Research Paper "Anita Alfaro" The person I interviewed is Anita Alfaro. I am related to this person because she is my mother. Anita was born March 2,1974. She was born in the Wood County Hospital which is located in Bowling Green Ohio. Anita's parents are Linda and Harvey Taft. She has three other siblings. She has an older brother Dean Taft and two younger brothers, Jerry Taft and Jeffery (Jeff) Taft. Anita had lived in North Baltimore, Jerry City, and she is currently living in Rudolph. She had attended North Baltimore and Elmwood school district. Anita has blue eyes and she has short brown/blond hair. My mom had a cool childhood when she was younger. One lesson that Anita learned the hard way when growing was that girls are not always treated the same way as boys are treated. Anita left her house to live on her own at the age of 19. She lived in a trailer (mobile home) with her future husband. Anita had to work to live in the trailer to support herself and her husband. When Anita was living on her own with her husband, she had... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 2. The Kent State Massacre Essay On May 4, 1970 at approximately 12:24 PM members of the Ohio National Guard shot at and killed several unarmed Kent State University students. These students were protesting President Nixon's decision to invade Cambodia. While some of the students who were shot at were actively protesting at the time of the shooting, others were simply walking by or casually observing the protest from a distance. How could an appalling incident like this occur? What possessed the members of the Ohio National Guard to shoot at unarmed students? In order to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the Kent State Massacre, it is important to back track several days and establish a timeline of events leading up to the massacre. On April 30, 1970, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is interesting to note there was a stark contrast between day and night activities in the city of Kent. During the day, guardsmen casually patrolled and went about business as usual. In fact, there were even reports that throughout the daytime hours students would have long, peaceful conversations with the guardsmen. However, at night, the violence would break out while mass protests were held, forcing the students and guardsmen to quickly retreat to opposite sides. Once again, on the evening of May 3, non–lethal force was used and people were arrested as the guardsmen again struggled to take control of the violence erupting in the city of Kent Ohio. Earlier in the weekend, university officials banned all protests and assemblies on campus. Students ignored this ruling and began congregating around eleven AM for the scheduled twelve noon protest. When the protest began, a Kent State police officer patrolled the campus with several guardsmen in a jeep announcing that the protest was illegal and everyone must leave the campus immediately. In response to this dispersion call, the students became violent, throwing rocks and attacking the jeep. The general in charge of the guardsmen in Kent, General Canterbury, ordered the guardsmen to arm themselves and fire tear gas in an attempt to disperse the crowd. As the crowd of ... Sparkle Effect Program Research Paper While being enrolled in College Credit Plus, I have had the opportunity to take dual credit classes that have better prepared me for rigorous college level work. Although half of my classes are college taught, I have still been able to maintain a strong connection to my high school and the extracurricular courses it has to offer. Academics courses are very important to me however, one of my favorite parts of the day is being able to play in the schools highest orchestra group: Sinfonia. I am thankful to be a part of the College Credit Plus program because of the time management skills and preparation it has given me to be a successful college student. I am a dedicated member of the High School Cheerleading Squad. Overall, the most rewarding part is cheering with kids in The Sparkle Effect Program. • 4. The Lack Of Promotion For College Students Essay Consequence Due to the lack of promotion to college students (especially international students), Athens Farmers Market (AFM) seems to ignore a large potential market of students. This problem not only indicates a potential market that AFM missed and ignored, it also brings other possible consequences if AFM keeps doing so. For example, in most cases, consumers tend to purchase at the same grocery store, which can be categorized as brand loyalty. However, college students in Athens are more likely to purchase at AFM's competitors (Walmart, Kroger) due to AFM's fewer opening hours and distance. But Deighton et al. (1994) indicates that advertising can have effective influences on brand switching, which would apply to AFM as students start to purchase products at AFM instead of Walmart repeatedly. Further, Walmart (or Kroger) as one of the largest supermarkets in the retail industry can compete and restrict the customer base of AFM. Thus, advertising to students, a major group of potential consumers in Athens, would help AFM's development in several aspects including customer base, reputation, and profitability. Third Criteria: Advertising Effectiveness Cost and convenience are indeed important to comparison and evaluation different methods used for AFM's advertisements to student. But effectiveness (the effect measured or expected from different advertising methods used) can also be crucial to decision making on advertising strategies of AFM. Based on the potential ... The U.S economy is growing rapidly and therefore it has affect any business organization of a firm. The current economic state affects the retail services of REI in the following ways. The U.S. Economy has truly possessed the capacity to mitigate the effect of downturns in local retail buyer spending. This is because of substantial exchange with outside countries. • 6. Miami University Research Paper Over the next few months, many high school seniors will be making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. This is no different for myself, as I will be attending college within the next year. College is the place that you can go to enhance your education in order to succeed in your career choice. The two colleges that I am looking at are Miami University and the University of Cincinnati. When I attend one of these two universities, I will be going into their pre–medical program while majoring in another area that I am interested in. Both of these colleges are essentially the same in terms of acceptance rates into medical school and majors. My main concern is with how my daily life will go at these places. Along with the daily life of college I am also looking at the campus in general and all of the activities that I can do. Both of the colleges are very good, however I would have to choose Miami University over the University of Cincinnati because it fits me better overall. • 7. Persuasive Essay About Life After College Finding Home "What do you want to do after graduation?" is a pretty common question that the students in Class of 2018 seem to hear on a daily basis. Some students know exactly what their plans are, while others have no idea. Being one who has known what my post–high school plans are for quite some time and knowing that I want to earn a Strategic Communications degree from Ohio University, I am able to begin thinking about life after college. One of the biggest decisions a person will need to make almost immediately after college is deciding where to start their life. I have thought about staying in Findlay, my hometown, but have also really contemplated moving to Cleveland or one of its surrounding suburbs. While both Findlay and Cleveland are great places to live, finding a job and settling down in Findlay, rather than residing in the Cleveland area, is the better option for me because of the opportunities it offers. Coming back to Findlay after graduating from college is the most ethical choice for me because of the jobs the town has to offer. With a Strategic Communications degree, one living in the Findlay area can get a job working as a Recruiting Specialist at Automatic Data Processing's Recruitment Process Outsourcing office, as an Investor Relations Manager at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, or as the director of Visit Findlay, thecity and county's Convention and Visitors Bureau, once the position opens up ("Communications Jobs in Findlay, OH"). Butterflies floating in nature are amazing! However, when they are spinning circles in your stomach, they are nauseating. That is how I felt as I prepared for my visit to the Coshocton County Court of Common Pleas. It was a warm muggy day and the air felt thick like it was going to rain. I walked down Main Street in Coshocton, past the gym that I frequently visit, and across the street. There I stood in front of a tall, cement gray building. My eyes scanned around the walls and I saw photographs of judges from the past posed in their black robes, framed in the same cherry wood that trimmed the room. Beautiful marble embellished the elevated platform that was located in the front and center part of the triangular shaped room. This platform was the bench where the Honorable Judge Van Blanchard II would be appearing. Finally, Judge Blanchard walked into the chamber and calmly sat down. As he entered, the room grew quiet. He looked kind and gentle, had white hair with gray peppered through it, and had a pleasant smile. He glanced in my direction, noticing that someone new was in the room, and again I felt like all eyes were on me. It was then that my friend, whom had been hidden from my view behind her computer, popped up from her chair and introduced me to the onlookers. I stood up and thanked Judge Blanchard for allowing me to sit in to observe the case and explained why I was there. As quietly as I could, I sat back down into my squeaky chair, and the room filled with noisy discussion once again. Al Minor, 117Ohio St. 3d at 61 (citing Plain Dealer, 80 Ohio St. 3d at 524–25). To determine whether the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable is if a trade secret owner "collected and/or compiled the information from a variety of sources, thus this may support a finding that the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable." Salemi, 145 Ohio St. 3d at В¶29. Roman women were washing their clothes in the River Tiber, below which animal fats from the sacrifices ran down into the river and created a soapy clay mixture. They found out that using the same cleansing substance, their clothes were getting cleaner, easier. From that time we know soap as soap (soap history.net). After the founding of "soap" from the Babylonians, the Egyptians also bathed regularly. They made soap by combining animal and vegetable oils that contain alkaline salts so it can make a soap–like material but they used it for treating skin diseases and also for washing. At about that exact time, Moses gave personal laws to the Israelites, and he also said cleanliness to health and religious purification were very related. Then the Israelites knew that mixing ashes and oils made a type of gel. The Greeks did not use soap like the Babylonians, or the Egyptians. They used many blocks of clay, sand, pumice and ashes to clean themselves. Soap got its name, from an ancient Roman legend, that was from Mount Sapo. • 16. Life After High School Life after high school can be one of the most difficult decisions in your life. And it is not just one decision, the college you choose can alter many aspects of your life. When you attempt to choose a school to go to you have to take into consideration many things. You have to know the major you want to go for, the minors, location, tuition cost, et cetera. I have so many options for the next step in my life. For this paper, however, I have narrowed it down to two options: Miami University and the University of Cincinnati. It is a close race between the two, but based on my recent visit to Miami going there for college would be the better option for my future. Money is an issue for mostly all college students, everyone is always worried about the debt they will obtain by going through schooling and how they are going to pay it off. Unless someone can get a full ride scholarship, you are going to have to owe money to the university you go to. My solution is that I will be making enough money after college to pay it off pretty quickly so I do not have to owe too much money throughout my life. Miami tuition is around $15,000 and room and board is around $13,000 so the total is somewhere close to $28,000 ("2017 Cohort"). Cincinnati tuition is $11,000 and room and board can be from $11,000 to $13,000, so between $22,000 and $24,000 would be the total ("UC Facts"). I intend to get scholarships through various companies or associations to bring the total price per year down. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Like I previously mention the buckeye tree blooms early in the spring. Flowers are a white to yellow–greenish color and form in small clusters. Each flower will produce 1–2 seeds that will produce up to 5 nuts each inside the capsule. The capsule is a pale yellow color that is spiny. The tree is one of the earliest to lose their leaves in the fall turning to a nice yellow and red color before falling off. The buckeye tree has learned to adapt pretty well for survival. Its short stature means that it usually has taller trees in the forest towering over it. While it can grow in the shade it prefers to be in open clusters or along streambeds in moisture rich soil. It has also shown great resistance to fungus and disease. There are only six known diseases that affect the tree. One of the most common and most serious problems that the buckeye tree will experience is leaf scorch. Most likely caused by drought conditions or pollution. The buckeye tree is polygamo–monoecious. By the nineteenth century, the population of London had grown much too large for one bridge, however there was a challenge as to how to build the bridge without disrupting river traffic. In 1876 a "Special Bridge Committee" was formed to oversee the designing and building of the bridge. The committee decided to open the designing up for public competition. Over fifty designs were submitted and the committee filtered through them until they discovered one that they liked. The chosen design was created by Horace Jones, the city architect, and John Wolfe Barry ("Bridge History"). Construction began in October of 1884. Two gigantic piers were driven into the river bed to support the eleven–thousand tons of steel and granite that were used to construct Tower Bridge. The project took eight years, five contractors, and over four–hundred thirty construction workers every day to complete. When it was first completed, Tower Bridge was the most largest and most complex bascule bridge ever built. The large bascules were raised and lowered by large hydraulic cylinders that were powered by massive steam engines and boilers. The bridge remained this way until 1976 when it was updated to be ran with oil and electricity ("History of Tower Bridge"). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Summary Of AinT I A Woman 'Ain't I A Woman' is a speech given by a woman named Sojourner Truth. Her real name was Isabella Baumfree. She was born into slavery in 1797. Her childhood was spent on a New York estate owned by a Dutch American named Colonel Johannes Hardenbergh. She experienced the miseries of being sold and mistreated. Around 1815, she fell in love wih a fellow slave named Robert, but Robert's master forced them apart. Then, she was forced to marry a slave named Thomas and they had five children. After her master failed to keep his promise to free her in 1827, Isabella ran away. Isabella was experiencing a religious conversion before she became an itinerant preacher and decided to change her name to Sojourner Truth. She became involved in the antislavery movement, and by the 1850s she was involved in the woman's rights movement as well. She became one of the most powerful advocates for human rights in the nineteenth century. She delivered this speech at the 1851 Women's Rights Convention held inAkron, Ohio. After that, she continued to speak out for the rights of African Americans and women during and after the Civil War. Sojourner Truth died in Battle Creek, Michigan, in 1883. In 'Ain't I a Woman', Sojourner speaks on the inequalities that women and blacks faced at that time in America. This speech has a powerful message and became so famous afterwards. In the beginning of her speech, she used the word 'children' to her audiences. Maybe Sojourner wanted to build a connection between her and her audiences. By calling them 'children', it made them feels like they were listening to their mother. In her speech she said, "That man over there says that women need to be helped into carriages, and lifted over ditches, and to have the best place everywhere. Nobody ever helps me into carriages, or over mud–puddles, or gives me any best place! And ain't I a woman? Look at me! Look at my arm! I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me! And ain't I a woman? I could work as much and eat as much as a man – when I could get it – and bear the lash as well! And ain't I a woman?" She wanted to say that she, as a woman, can do as much work as man. Man did ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Middle School Are Essential For The Success Of Students For me, middle school was probably the most excruciating years of my life. I thought it was only me and everyone else had it easy and completely understood everything that was happening to their bodies and minds. In fact, I still have dreams about my middle school years like forgetting my locker combination or hiding in the bathroom stall because the most popular girls were gossiping about a friend of yours. The settings in these dreams are always my middle school; I find it amazing that thirty years after I attended school that I can remember vivid details about the layout, hallways, lockers, and teachers. The reason for this I believe is that for ALL students the middle school years are the most influential to shaping and becoming who a person is and who they wish to become. Middle schools are essential for the success of students because of the unique developmental stages of these students. For teachers, comprehension of young adolescent development is key to understanding the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and moral needs and interests of these students (Powell, 2015, p. 55) and also teachers need to develop a curriculum that is focused on developing students competence in all subject matter and using their knowledge and available resources to design, implement, and evaluate challenging, responsive curriculums that result in meaningful learning outcomes (Powell, 2015, p. 145). All students should feel that they are accepted for who he or she is as an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Descriptive Essay About Restaurant Amazing restaurants are few and far in between. It seems as if there is always something negative that could be said about even the best restaurants in the country, not even one is entirely perfect. It's incredibly hard to find a great restaurant that has attentive servers, high quality food served in a timely manner, a friendly atmosphere, and overall cleanliness. Incredibly, I have found an impeccable restaurant that not only meets all of the criteria listed above, it exceeds them. Uno's Pizzeria & Grill in Dayton Ohio has absolutely amazed me with unbeatable service, food, and much more every time I have dined with them. On my way to one of the performances at the Schuster Center in Dayton, my family and I decided to by a pizzeria ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As soon as we were seated I noticed just how clean the entire restaurant was even though it was incredibly packed. Due to the fact that the show we planned on attending started soon, we informed our waiter that we were in quite a big hurry. We ordered our drinks and appetizers and I headed off to the restroom to wash my hands before the food arrived. The restroom was just as pristine as the rest of the restaurant, there were no giant globs of soap all over the counter, they had high energy efficient hand dryers, and all toiletries were stocked. Even the mirrors were spotless! It's often said that you can judge the cleanliness of a restaurant 's kitchen by the cleanliness of the restrooms. With the spotlessness of this restroom, I wasn't the least bit worried about the cleanliness of the kitchen. I returned back to the table not even five minutes later and our drinks, as well as our appetizers were served! I couldn't believe how fast it came. We ordered spinach artichoke dip that was served in a bread bowl. I'd highly recommend this appetizer, it was truthfully life changing. As we enjoyed our appetizer our waiter frequently returned to our table and conversed with us, as well as to check on the quality of our food and get our orders for the main dish. He was very attentive and very considerate of our time limitations, I was extremely impressed with him. The menu had a wide variety of options ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scott The Ohio State University Professor: Margaret Halter Nursing 7500: Health Policy & Advocacy Political Action: Modernize the Nurse Practice Act Healthcare reform and politics are on the forefront of most citizens throughout the United States. Our access to healthcare has become a barrier for many citizens, and a hurdle for the advanced practiced registered nurses (APRN) throughout the years. Strict state laws have burdened APRNs and limited their practice throughout Ohio. It would be prudent to follow suit of other states, and retire the Collaborative Agreement; Richards and Polsky (2014) noted an immediate 20 to 30 percent increase in nurse practitioner providers in those particular states after it was retired. House Bill 216 (H.B. 216) helps modernize the Nurse Practice Act and the retire the mandatory collaborative agreement and extensive drug formulary.
