2. PROLOGUE You may have seen Osama bin Laden’s application for the ‘Best Job In The World’. Needless to say, this wasn’t the real Osama. In fact, it was created in an hour by two jokers over a couple beers on a Friday afternoon. One simple email pushed this video into international headlines and viral heaven within the week. This is the story of how an entertaining and topical story can achieve mass coverage with very little time, expertise or money required. And who better to tell the story than Osama himself...

4. I thought it was pretty funny so I emailed my friends at the Brisbane Times .

5. Lucky for me they liked it too!

6. Within a week, everyone else all over the world started liking it!!!

7. And I made HEAPS of headlines.

10. My favourite mag, Zoo Weekly, even gave me a plug!

11. Too bad Tourism Queensland didn’t like me as much.

12. I still can’t understand their reasoning.

13. Even the Tourism Minister had a go at me.Ouch. "Some people mean to have a joke, but they go too far sometimes and that one isn't really very funny. What we really do want to find - because this is a genuine job - is a genuine person, who is really able to sell themselves and why they should come out above all those many thousands of others and actually have the privilege of this job.”
