Organizations that "qualify" for the TechSoup Canada
Donations Programs are:
Canadian charities registered with the Canada Revenue
Agency (CRA)
Canadian nonprofits registered with their provinces or
territories
Canadian public libraries

Number?
If you are a registered charity, you will be on the Canadian Revenue Agency
(http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/chrts-gvng/menu-eng.html)
If you are a registered federal or provincial nonprofit organization look for your
"business letters patent". This is different for each province.

Provincial Nonprofits: Depending on the province, valid documents can be called

36. Donor Restrictions
Religious Organizations- unless they have proof of a secular
community designation- requires more documentation and
questionnaire.
Any organization that advocates, supports or practices discrimination
based on age, ethnicity, race gender, national origin, disability, race,
size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
37. Donor Guidelines
Guidelines determine how much you can order
within a certain time period.
For example: Intuit QuickBooks
Eligible Organizations may request 3 licenses per "fiscal
year"
38. Fiscal Year?
Donors limit the number of requests an organization can place
per fiscal year - our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.
Don't worry, you can request products again on July 1, but you
don't want to miss out on getting your fiscal year "allotment".
After July 1st, your account is reset (only applies to donors with
a Fiscal Year End)

Step 1: Register Your Organization on

Step 2: Submit your Documents
(Letters of Patent if you are a nonprofit or
your CRA # if you are a Charity)
Step 3: Qualification email with username,
password and program qualification status.

retail outlet: 1. Receive award letter via email – Congratulations, lists
software items donated, notes that CDs/DVDs have been
mailed.

instructions on how to get volume license keys from
