Step 1: Register Your Organization
Qualification

Organizations that "qualify" for the TechSoup Canada

Canadian nonprofits registered with their provinces or
territories
Canadian public libraries
3 Things You Need to Register

     1. Your Organizational Type

Step 1: Register Your Organization
How do I find my Tax ID or Business

If you are a registered charity, you will be on the Canadian Revenue Agency
(http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/chrts-gvng/menu-eng.html)

If you are a registered federal or provincial nonprofit organization look for your
"business letters patent". This is different for each province.
Business Letters Patent

Federal Nonprofits: Letters Patent will be from Industry Canada

Provincial Nonprofits: Depending on the province, valid documents can be called

Letters Patent
Supplementary Letters Patent
Society Act(s)
Certificate of Incorporation
Certificates of Status
Articles of Incorporation

These documents will ALWAYS be issues by the province in question
Ex. Ontario Business Letters Patent
Step 2: Send in Your Documents
Wait....7 to 14 days

                         We're working on it....
Donor Restrictions

Religious Organizations- unless they have proof of a secular
community designation- requires more documentation and
questionnaire.

Any organization that advocates, supports or practices discrimination
based on age, ethnicity, race gender, national origin, disability, race,

Donor Guidelines

Guidelines determine how much you can order
           within a certain time period.

For example: Intuit QuickBooks
Eligible Organizations may request 3 licenses per "fiscal
year"
Fiscal Year?

Donors limit the number of requests an organization can place
per fiscal year - our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.
Don't worry, you can request products again on July 1, but you
don't want to miss out on getting your fiscal year "allotment".
After July 1st, your account is reset (only applies to donors with
a Fiscal Year End)
Donor Partners with End of Fiscal
                    Year
