 Analyze your points and cover all the

 Provide a final question or idea to be
answered by your oponent

4.  Listen attentively and pay attention to the
strong points of the oponent’s argument
 Rebut the ideas clarifying the point or putting
forward a relevant issue that was not
considered by the other group
 Support your arguments in simple words so
that you will not forget it and if you do it, you
will be able to explain it with your own words

5.  Take your time to give your speech.
 Use volume, pitch and speed to emphasise
important points in your speech, that makes
the argument more attractive
 Make eye contact and triangulate your
position, use the space to reduce anxiety
 Put your ideas over the table without
attacking your oponent, it means you are not
convinced your ideas are better
 Make your argument part of your thinking,
make it “you”
