System Background and Functionality
There are two main components to Automation. The first is navigation or routing which helps
customers get to the right place. The second is self–service, which allows customers to complete
certain tasks without interacting with a person.
In order to successfully implement the automation software we need to collaborate with the right
companies to employ software robots to work simultaneously and in the background to transfer
existing data extremely fast with zero errors or loss of data. Being able to capture all of the relevant
business information will be key to developing the most effective software. We will be upgrading to
the new integrated electronic record and performance management systems by accurately
transferring 20 years of customer data to the new system. In order to successfully route customers to
the right pages, we will identify the most commonly used search words in the web that relate to the
company. This will support the overall marketing and advertisement plan set forth by the
organization.
We will automate and manage the order processing services, from product search, payment
processing, shipment notifications and tracking. Setting up a system where the customer can easily
search, find

Becoming A Graduate Education For Engineering
As rightly said by Nikola Tesla, "We crave for new sensations but soon become indifferent to them.
The wonders of yesterday are today common occurrences". The sweeping changes in the
Technological world with the advent of Electronics have made the role of electrical and electronics
engineering a really indispensable one. My fascination for engineering was from an early stage
though not a conscious one. It has been my deepest desire to be a part of this proliferating
community. While my Bachelor's degree has given me a well–rounded strong fundamental platform
and exposure in the Electrical and Electronics field, I am keen to pursue Graduate education to
advance my knowledge as well as contribute to specific areas in Electronics and advancements in
technology. I thereby seek to pursue graduate studies in Electrical Engineering at University of
Texas at Dallas.
I use this opportunity to elucidate my career objectives and give in quintessence of my educational
background. Since my school days, I have been interested in mathematics and physical sciences. My
scholastic record has been meritorious right through school and higher secondary education. I did
my schooling from Sarathi School, where I achieved a rare feat of scoring full marks in
Mathematics and secured 88.8%. With my propensity towards mathematics and physics, I chose
Mathematics–Physics–Chemistry as my group for post–secondary education, wherefrom I secured
an impressive 94.7%. This performance helped me in getting

The Implementation of Office Automation System: Positive...
Model Analysis Essay Introduction With factory and farm work revolutionizing the world economy,
Office Automation Systems have influenced the white–collar job and changed the society. We have
seen both positive and negative impacts attributed to the new system. Therefore, it is incumbent on
people to guide and understand the change process to effect positive impacts. Office Automation
Systems has unquestionably had impacts on all office employees (Daft & Marcic, 2009). Currently,
clerical jobs have been directly, and strongly affected by the implementation of this system. This
stems from the increasing use of spreadsheets and word processing software. Communication and
financial planning are being achieved through computer systems; this has affected managerial and
professional jobs. When the organization and the industry become more reliant on information
systems as the principle component of services and products, all jobs are subjected to labor saving
impact of Office Automation Systems. The pressure to increase productivity forces the organization
to automate its services (Freeman & Thurber, 2010). Positive impacts The goal of the organization is
productivity. The pressure to maximize individual, unit and organizational productiveness is present
within the organization. Managers at the company look at Office Automation Systems as a way of
achieving a competitive advantage. The company has hired technological consultants to determine

Statement Of Purpose In Electrical Engineering
Statement of Purpose
I believe that education is the essential part of quality of a man and one should attempt his best to
acquire it. I have been consistently scoring 1st class in 2nd to 8th semesters' exams in the
undergraduate course until now and I am confident that I have the ability to take up the Postgraduate
course and complete with flying colors.
As a student in high school I had the idea of an Uninterrupted Power System by some of backup
sources like, Solar, Wind and Main Power etc. Using some old battery, cables and other equipment
arrangement I designed an automatic door lock circuit with Arduino. This circuit gave me lots of
motivation thoughts from my high schools instructor because it's not a piece of cake for every
student to make at that period of academic's day and that's why they gave me a medal for that
achievement.
In addition, my undergraduate studies in the department of Electrical Engineering at the Mahavir

multi–task effectively and gaining working experience in group and with technical faculty. Besides
the college academics I was actively involved in the extracurricular activities. I represented my
college in Cricket and Debate competitions. I wanted to be self–esteem my education and worked
part–time in Unic Electronics. I was also an active amateur nature lover. The driving force behind all
this was my aim to develop all the facets of my personality. In this process I could not achieve the
grades I wanted to in the first and second year. But soon I garnered the skill of proper allocation of
time and energy. I did well in the 3rd year and 4th year of Engineering. Moreover, I do not feel that
the marks I scored are the lone indicators of my understanding of the subject. A pointed reason to

1.Introduction
1.1 Aim
During the 6 hands–on individual labs before this mini project, we have learnt the design and
implementation of filter and oscillator, together with applied characterization of different
components. The objective of Mini–Project was for students to demonstrate their innovative design
skills and implement knowledge learnt in lectures to real–life product design. Therefore, we aimed
to integrate what we learnt in individual labs into one single product, which is a Voice
Disguiser that can solve practical problems of witness protection.

Figure 1: Project Flowchart
2.2 Microphone Unit
The microphone was implemented to allow the user to transmit speaker's voice as analog voice
signal from the audio socket. The analog voice signal captured by the microphone is then needed to
pass through an amplifier circuit. The amplitude of this voice signal can be amplified from millivolts
to volts so that the signal becomes easier to for us work with in following implementations. As
figure 2 shown, this amplifier circuit is built by firstly connecting the microphone input through the
positive input terminal of the LM358 chip. Secondly, a feedback loop is built through the output and
negative terminal. Then the analog voice signal captured by the microphone is, therefore, amplified.
Figure 2: Schematic Of Microphone Unit
The resistance values of R4 and R3 is purposely chosen for an amplifier gain of 5.7. As shown in
Figure 3, a significant amplifying effect of the microphone voice signal can been seem afer passing
through the amplifier.
Figure 3: Waveform Of Voice Signal Before (Blue) And After (Yellow) Amplifier
Based on oscilloscope detection, the peak–to–peak value of microphone voice signal before
amplifier is 220mV, while the one after the amplifier is 1.28V. The actual amplifier gain is therefore
5.8 (1.28/0.22), which is very close to the designed value of 5.7.

Jack University of North Texas Author Note This paper was prepared for Social Issues in
Computing, CSCE 4010, Section 1, taught by Ian Brooks. Abstract At the rate our technology
develops, it's difficult to keep up with the issues and concerns that result from our creations. Over
the past few years, the development of the driverless car has moved closer to reality. In 2012,
Google's driverless car became street–legal in California, Florida, and Nevada. Autonomous
vehicles could immensely benefit the lives of the elderly and disabled. They could also be helpful
for individuals who are inebriated and unable to drive. Some organizations, such as Mothers Against
Drunk Driving, anticipate advantages and less risks with the addition of these vehicles. Our current
laws don't address the adverse possibilities that autonomous vehicles can produce. How will human
drivers interact with large numbers of driverless cars? In a collision, which party will take the
blame? Who will pay for the damages and the possible medical bills? A vehicle that is not subjected
to driver distractions and toxic influences can increase our future road safety. But at what cost?

Section III compares and contrasts each solutions depending on their strengths and weaknesses
using a comparison table.
Section II:
First solution is the Web based solution [4] [1]that consists of a web application to which a user
needs to Log in with his information in order to interact and control all the devices in his house. The
specialty of this application is the flexibility it offers to the user through which a user can interact
with the interface and navigate through his house in two distinct forms. The first form of navigation
enables the user to move between different rooms in the user's house and the other form enables to
control the functionalities of all the devices within the room that user has selected in the first form of
navigation. The user at any time can decide which navigation to select depending on his
requirement, whether to move from one room to the other or to control devices in the selected room.
This approach is evaluated by taking a basic application, DemoConfig [4] which proved that this
approach is feasible.
The primary strength of this solution over the other solutions is the application's ability to operate
within various property types for each device. For example, consider a thermometer whose noted
states are on and off. As the thermometer depicts only the temperature of a certain area and does not
perform any other action, it is said to have only one property type. Now consider a

Designing A User Interface Design
Introduction User Interface design focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring
that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand and use. Universal user interface
design is aimed to develop products that can be used by all people in different environments to the
greatest extent possible, without having the need to adapt or having a specialized design (Chubb,
2014). The computing environment is growing rapidly, and this has made it possible for the
designers to focus on the development of interfaces that presents information in the most effective
manner to people using various devices like laptops, tablets and smartphones, as well as people with
disabilities in the various modalities. Therefore, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Flexibility in use– Universal interface design should accommodate preferences and abilities of wide
range of individuals. Tolerance for error– The design should have measures and controls that can
help minimize hazards and the adverse consequences that can be caused by accidental actions.
Additionally, the design should have a mechanism for communicating the status, as well as the next
steps where applicable, in order to reduce frustration for the users (Stephanidis, 2013). How Section
508 Affects the Development of User Interfaces and the Impact of Standards on Users Section 508
requires Federal departments and agencies that develop, procure, maintain or use electronic and
information technology to ensure that Federal employees and the members of the public with
disabilities, have access to, and use of information and data as the individuals without disability,
unless it will be undue burden to the institution to do so. Web based applications are required to
present their information in a manner that makes it possible for the disabled users to have access too.
Therefore, the development of the user interfaces are affected in the following way: The interface
should provide a text equivalent for every non–text element, the alternatives for the presentation of
multimedia are supposed to be synchronized within the presentation,

Technology 's Impact On The Global Landscape
Innovation has become a crucial factor to allow corporations to provide various products and
services in reacting to a competitive, rapidly changing environment. Over the past decades, the
developments and improvements in Information Technology (IT) have had a profound impact on the
global landscape as well as the regular corporate working environment. With the help of advanced
Information Technology, businesses are able to process and operate its daily works more accurate
and easier. It is much safer and easier to store data and information in the database than the
traditional approach (Valacich & Schneider, 2016, p. 214). IT has been changing the way how
business is done. It changes the basis of business from the labor and manual skills to the knowledge
management. The jobs required by information technology, as well as the technology itself, are
changing the social system of the organizations. Organizations are unable to adapt the pace of
technology change will suffer more in the business world than they used to be. Enterprise
Automation The workplace has changed significantly over the last half–century due to information
technologies, mainly due to the automation of existing processes. Automating is the approach for
businesses to use information systems to do a process faster, cheaper, and perhaps with more
accuracy and/or consistency (Valacich & Schneider, 2016, p. 56). According to the PMG survey

To meet our growing technological demands – Electronic Chips must be designed to be more
powerful and efficient as they shrink. However, is there a limitation to it? – A naive me pondered 3
years ago. In today's world, Energy efficiency and performance have become the primary focus; an
era where low–power dissipating microelectronic circuits are required for battery–operated

The Figure.3.6 shows the implementation 8x8 modified booth multiplier using High Performance
Multiplier (HPM) reduction method [4]. The modified booth algorithm is a predominant high
performance multiplier which has low number of partial products row. The generation of these
partial products is quite complex to implement in hardware. So in this work has used a straight
forward way of implementing a Signed and Unsigned Multiplication using Baugh–Wooley
Algorithm with HPM reduction tree method. Baugh–Wooley Multiplier with HPM reduction tree is
discussed in Chapter Six.
CHAPTER FOUR: LOW–POWER DESIGN
4.1 Introduction:
In earlier stages of VLSI circuit design the emphasis is on Area and Speed optimization giving
concerns to Packaging and Efficient designing. As the technology scales down according to
predictions of Moor's Law, it is advent that the CMOS dimensions have been scaled down
drastically. But due to increase in use of Portable Devices Such as Cellphones, Laptops, Personal
Health Monitoring systems, there has been a demand of higher battery life for Portable devices.
Whereas big data centers which contains large set of circuits consumes tremendous power and
dissipates large amount of heat which incurs huge cost to maintain. The solution for these problems
is to design circuits which consume low power which give rise to the concept of Low–Power VLSI
designing.

Clearing Your Organization's Roadblocks with Business Process Automation
Building a Better Business Process – The Struggle is Real
Organizations are under tremendous pressure to do more with less, streamline costs and transform
their business to take advantage of cheaper, faster digital strategies. That's a pretty tall order for any
organization, but that is exactly what a good business process automation (BPA) company can
deliver. This challenge spans all industries, here are just a few examples:
A recent survey shows 99.6% of insurance executives surveyed say they are struggling to deliver
digital innovation.
In the healthcare field, 85% of respondents cited digital innovation as key to a long term competitive

A critical part of ensuring a successful BPA implementation requires engaging employees in the
BPA process and ensuring that the workflow makes their jobs easier.
How can business process automation help your organization?
There are many different use cases within an organization that can benefit from BPA, but it works
best in situations where there is a lot of repetitive manual paperwork or approvals. If the processes
remains the same, creating an automation workflow ensures best practices are followed every time.
Custom business process automation can range from automating full processes to helping
organizations design processes that link different programs and solutions together. The goal of
automation is reduce the amount of time spent on manual intervention and has the following
benefits:
Saves money: Labor costs account for 62% of total AP costs, and estimated 60% of overall
corporate expenses. Reducing manual intervention can save organizations between 20 – 30%
Saves time: Manual tasks such as batching jobs, performing back–ups, matching POs with invoices
and numerous repetitive tasks can be automated and completed significantly faster with less errors.
Reduces errors: People get tired, sick, hungry or distracted and this cases them to make mistakes.
With process automation, the machine continues the same set pattern and reduce or eliminates
human errors.

Cadence Design Systems Case Study
Cadence Design Systems Company History
Cadence Design Systems was the creation from the merger of two companies in the late 1980s
became came the world's leading global leader in the electronic industry. San Jose, California was
the birthplace of this merger and is still today the headquarter for Cadence. At the headquarter
facility is where sales, designing, and researching still takes place for the global industry of
electronics. Cadence Design Systems has been featured in Fortune Magazine many times. In the
year 2017, has Cadence Design Systems listed by "Fortune Magazine as one of the Best 100

Mergers can kill all of the companies involved or rise up and become something greater. Rise up to
become something greater is the regular practice when Cadence Design Systems acquisitions and
mergers.
Daniel Holden from Chilton's Electronic News reported from an interview with Cadence Design
Systems' president at the time of the interview, "The merging of the two companies would provide
each with a significant inroad to the market segments dominated by the other, while allowing both
companies to focus more on their core technologies, said Mr. Costello. Insiders said that while the
potential synergy is there, one of the biggest challenges for the new company would be dealing with
overlapping products as well as the R&D, marketing, sales and distribution efforts connected to
them." (Holden 1). Cadence Design Systems has a history of not having a twenty percent or less
overlap with acquisitions and mergers to prevent problems. This is another example of the human
relations theories well practiced within this company. Human relations theories are also practice in
the acquisitions and mergers when the acquisition and merger is wanted and by making sure the
company that Cadence Design Systems is merging with has the same core values. Cadence Design
Systems belief statement is, "At Cadence, our core values are more than just words, they are the way
we work, laugh, debate, care, question, and innovate together. We are One Cadence–One

I got this opportunity at the Summer School at IIT Gandhinagar (IIT–Gn), where I practically came
up with a hardware prototype for the SCR firing circuit and implemented the single phase and three
phase controlled and uncontrolled rectifiers. During this time at IIT–Gn, the area of electronic
circuit design and analysis fascinated me as the simulations and practical implementation of the
circuits went side by side. This experience at IIT–Gn also made me realize that practical
implementation is always more challenging and a better learning experience than theoretical
knowledge. This Summer School experience kindled an urge to do research in the area of circuit
design and so I decided to take up another project in the same field at my home institution during
my regular academic curriculum, where I developed an Analog circuit for calculating the air gap
torque of a three phase induction motor. The two research projects in this area gave me a significant
insight into the varied fields where electronics can be applied. It came to my notice at this instant
that Electronic Design and VLSI/Automation are interdependent and closely related areas. Thus I
decided to take up research task in the field of Automation and Verification of Hardware Circuits.

three parts. Mergable flip flops identification, creating a combination table; and Merge flip–flops. In
first stage, we have to identify the flip–flops which are supposed to be combined. In second stage, a
combination table can be formed, library is created it contains all combinations of merged multi bit

3.1 Identification of mergable flip flops
The mergable flip flops are share the common clock buffer and capable of decreasing the power
consumption. The single bit flip flops and multi bit flip flops are having same clock, set and reset
conditions. For a example a 2–bit multi bit flip flop formation it needs two single bit storage are
required. The single bit flip flops are first identified as which are nearer to each other then only
merging is possible. So identification of mergable flip flops are important and distance we have to

Custom Molds Strategy Analysis Essay
Introduction and Problem Definition
Custom Molds, Inc. was founded by a father and son team in 1987 to provide high quality, custom–
designed molds for manufacturers of electronic connectors, but later expanded into the production of
plastic parts for the industry. In recent years, the changing environment of the electronics industry
had a profound impact on the way Custom Molds conducts its business and manufacturing
processes. The changing sales mix, coupled with delivery and quality problems, prompted the
company to revise its business strategies to address to following issues:
1) Changing trends in the electronics manufacturing industry that caused changes in clients' order
needs
2) Unpredictable bottlenecks in the production ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fabrication of a mold takes two to four weeks, depending on the amount of work the machinist
already has scheduled, even though the fabrication process itself takes only three to five days. There
are 13 master machinists in the company, and it is always the same machinist who was assigned to
the design team. This means an unequal amount of work is distributed among the machinists. The
estimated time for this step can be further shortened if the use of resources can be managed
effectively.
The parts manufacturing process, especially for molds that were previously manufactured and
maintained in inventory, is a somewhat different process than that for mold fabrication. Raw
material ordered for this process usually takes a week to arrive, contributing to an extended lead
time for delivery of parts to clients. Custom Molds' practice of ordering raw materials only after the
specification review is clearly affecting the timely delivery of its orders, and in the parts
manufacturing industry where delivery times are critical, this can affect the company's relationships
with clients.
Even though Custom Molds has the capacity to produce 5,000 parts per day in the injection–
molding department, the lead time for handling orders in this department has averaged one week.
This reflects the department's inability to fully utilize the company's production output capability to
accelerate the delivery time based on production.
2) Quality Issues

Moreover the sharing of a single Bluetooth module between numerous devices has the disadvantage
of incurring an access delay. [4] introduced a phone based remote controller for home and office
automation. The system differs in that all communications occur over a fixed telephone line and not
over the Internet. The system can be accessed using any telephone that supports dual tone multiple
frequency (DTMF). The disadvantages of this system are threefold: users are not provided with a
graphical user interface, users have to remember an access code, and they have to remember which
buttons to press for the control of connected devices. [5] proposed a novel control network, using
hand gestures. The controller uses a glove to relay hand gestures to the system. The problem with
the system lies in the inaccuracy of hand gestures, with the potential for normal arm movements
being inaccurately interpreted as commands. Moreover, there is the risk of user fatigue if repetitive
hand gestures are required. The introduction provides a short review of the existing academic
research into home automation. The publically available research into home automation lies
predominantly in the academic arena, with little industrial research being publically available. The
adoption of home automation technologies into commercial systems has been limited,

Abstract–Power reduction is an major challenge in the integrated circuit design since it degrades the
chip performance the reliability. Frequent transistor switching caused due to large IR–voltage drops
gives raise to timing violations and logic failures. A new clock control strategy is been introduced in
this paper such that the simultaneous switching of the combinational paths is minimized. This is
achieved by clustering the delay slacks having similar slack values. Once the paths are identified
based on the path delays and their slack values the clustering algorithm determines the path to
clusters in a load balanced manner based on the slack values and each cluster will have a phase shift
possible on its clock depending on the slack.
INTRODUCTION
Low power has emerged as a major goal in today's electronics industry. The motivations for
reducing power consumption differ from application to application. For high performance, portable
computers, such as laptop and notebook computers, the goal is to reduce the power dissipation of the
electronics portion of the system to a point that is about half of the total power dissipation (including
that of display and hard disk).

Automation Of Health Care : The Heart Of The Hippocratic Oath
Automation of Health Care Maximizing successful patient outcomes is the heart of the Hippocratic
Oath. To treat one's illness to the best of a physician's ability while preserving a patient's privacy is
the foundation of health professionals and health care institutions strategic intent. While this oath is
one of the oldest binding documents in history its principles are still held sacred today (Tyson,
2001). The use of this oath or a modern version of it, with graduating medical professionals, is
common. Taking this oath would suggest that as new technologies become readily available and
help improve outcomes it is incumbent on the physician to embrace its adoption. Castillo, Martinez–
Garcia and Pulido (2010) identified physicians have been slow to embrace electronic systems which
are capable of improving patient outcomes and lowering the cost of conducting business.
Automation of information includes computerized physician prescription, computerized physician
order entry, electronic medical records, electronic alerts, automated decision support, and electronic
capture of clinical data that enables service quality improvement.. With automation comes a new
level of challenges surrounding adoption, security, training and integration of standards and systems.
Health care is becoming automated. Automation is not limited to the infrastructure surrounding the
health care institution. Procedures can now occur with a surgical unit on one side of the world while

Why I Want To Pursue A Master Of Science Degree
"Education is not preparation for life; Education is life for itself."
These are the words of John Dewey, which have led an everlasting impression on my mind. It
relates to the idea of lifelong learning, and the knowledge that education is much more than what
lies within the curriculum. Whenever I pause by to reflect on my ken of knowledge, I feel that how
little I have learnt and that an enormous, unknown and fascinating wealth of knowledge lies before
me, yet to be explored. Education is like an edifice based on strong rudiments and strengthened by
the fundamentals and practical skills acquired during one's lifetime. So my main goal is to design
the next generation innovations in field rather than being just a user of existing technologies and
findings. So I intend to pursue Master of Science degree in "Automotive software Engineering" at
your university as the first step towards obtaining a PHD.
"Nothing is Impossible in Life" has always been a motivating force behind all my achievements. I
strongly believe that enjoy what we do and having the passion to pursue, we can ultimately achieve
our destination, no matter how much efforts are needed. My inherent urge and interest to pursue
engineering emanates from an instinctive inclination for Physics and Mathematics since my
schooling. From early childhood, I was very captivated with electronic appliances around me. I
would ask my parents about their principle of working. I always tried to find out what basic

  • 3. Becoming A Graduate Education For Engineering As rightly said by Nikola Tesla, "We crave for new sensations but soon become indifferent to them. The wonders of yesterday are today common occurrences". The sweeping changes in the Technological world with the advent of Electronics have made the role of electrical and electronics engineering a really indispensable one. My fascination for engineering was from an early stage though not a conscious one. It has been my deepest desire to be a part of this proliferating community. While my Bachelor's degree has given me a well–rounded strong fundamental platform and exposure in the Electrical and Electronics field, I am keen to pursue Graduate education to advance my knowledge as well as contribute to specific areas in Electronics and advancements in technology. I thereby seek to pursue graduate studies in Electrical Engineering at University of Texas at Dallas. I use this opportunity to elucidate my career objectives and give in quintessence of my educational background. Since my school days, I have been interested in mathematics and physical sciences. My scholastic record has been meritorious right through school and higher secondary education. I did my schooling from Sarathi School, where I achieved a rare feat of scoring full marks in Mathematics and secured 88.8%. With my propensity towards mathematics and physics, I chose Mathematics–Physics–Chemistry as my group for post–secondary education, wherefrom I secured an impressive 94.7%. This performance helped me in getting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Implementation of Office Automation System: Positive... Model Analysis Essay Introduction With factory and farm work revolutionizing the world economy, Office Automation Systems have influenced the white–collar job and changed the society. We have seen both positive and negative impacts attributed to the new system. Therefore, it is incumbent on people to guide and understand the change process to effect positive impacts. Office Automation Systems has unquestionably had impacts on all office employees (Daft & Marcic, 2009). Currently, clerical jobs have been directly, and strongly affected by the implementation of this system. This stems from the increasing use of spreadsheets and word processing software. Communication and financial planning are being achieved through computer systems; this has affected managerial and professional jobs. When the organization and the industry become more reliant on information systems as the principle component of services and products, all jobs are subjected to labor saving impact of Office Automation Systems. The pressure to increase productivity forces the organization to automate its services (Freeman & Thurber, 2010). Positive impacts The goal of the organization is productivity. The pressure to maximize individual, unit and organizational productiveness is present within the organization. Managers at the company look at Office Automation Systems as a way of achieving a competitive advantage. • 7. Statement Of Purpose In Electrical Engineering Statement of Purpose I believe that education is the essential part of quality of a man and one should attempt his best to acquire it. I have been consistently scoring 1st class in 2nd to 8th semesters' exams in the undergraduate course until now and I am confident that I have the ability to take up the Postgraduate course and complete with flying colors. As a student in high school I had the idea of an Uninterrupted Power System by some of backup sources like, Solar, Wind and Main Power etc. Using some old battery, cables and other equipment arrangement I designed an automatic door lock circuit with Arduino. This circuit gave me lots of motivation thoughts from my high schools instructor because it's not a piece of cake for every student to make at that period of academic's day and that's why they gave me a medal for that achievement. In addition, my undergraduate studies in the department of Electrical Engineering at the Mahavir Swami ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I wanted to be self–esteem my education and worked part–time in Unic Electronics. I was also an active amateur nature lover. The driving force behind all this was my aim to develop all the facets of my personality. In this process I could not achieve the grades I wanted to in the first and second year. But soon I garnered the skill of proper allocation of time and energy. I did well in the 3rd year and 4th year of Engineering. Moreover, I do not feel that the marks I scored are the lone indicators of my understanding of the subject. A pointed reason to multiplication my reliance is the final year of my ... Figure 1: Project Flowchart 2.2 Microphone Unit The microphone was implemented to allow the user to transmit speaker's voice as analog voice signal from the audio socket. The analog voice signal captured by the microphone is then needed to pass through an amplifier circuit. The amplitude of this voice signal can be amplified from millivolts to volts so that the signal becomes easier to for us work with in following implementations. As figure 2 shown, this amplifier circuit is built by firstly connecting the microphone input through the positive input terminal of the LM358 chip. Secondly, a feedback loop is built through the output and negative terminal. Then the analog voice signal captured by the microphone is, therefore, amplified. Figure 2: Schematic Of Microphone Unit The resistance values of R4 and R3 is purposely chosen for an amplifier gain of 5.7. As shown in Figure 3, a significant amplifying effect of the microphone voice signal can been seem afer passing through the amplifier.

Ethical Concerns Of Autonomous Vehicles ¬¬¬ Ethical Concerns for Autonomous Vehicles The Issues with Designing the Perfect Driver Bob Jack University of North Texas Author Note This paper was prepared for Social Issues in Computing, CSCE 4010, Section 1, taught by Ian Brooks. Abstract At the rate our technology develops, it's difficult to keep up with the issues and concerns that result from our creations. Over the past few years, the development of the driverless car has moved closer to reality. In 2012, Google's driverless car became street–legal in California, Florida, and Nevada. Autonomous vehicles could immensely benefit the lives of the elderly and disabled. They could also be helpful for individuals who are inebriated and unable to drive. Some organizations, such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving, anticipate advantages and less risks with the addition of these vehicles. Our current laws don't address the adverse possibilities that autonomous vehicles can produce. How will human drivers interact with large numbers of driverless cars? In a collision, which party will take the blame? Who will pay for the damages and the possible medical bills? A vehicle that is not subjected to driver distractions and toxic influences can increase our future road safety. But at what cost? Keywords: driverless vehicle, autonomous car, robot car Ethical Concerns for Autonomous Vehicles The Issues with Designing the Perfect Driver Our roadways are filled with dangers consisting of distracted drivers and ... Section III compares and contrasts each solutions depending on their strengths and weaknesses using a comparison table. Section II: First solution is the Web based solution [4] [1]that consists of a web application to which a user needs to Log in with his information in order to interact and control all the devices in his house. The specialty of this application is the flexibility it offers to the user through which a user can interact with the interface and navigate through his house in two distinct forms. The first form of navigation enables the user to move between different rooms in the user's house and the other form enables to control the functionalities of all the devices within the room that user has selected in the first form of navigation. The user at any time can decide which navigation to select depending on his requirement, whether to move from one room to the other or to control devices in the selected room. This approach is evaluated by taking a basic application, DemoConfig [4] which proved that this approach is feasible. The primary strength of this solution over the other solutions is the application's ability to operate within various property types for each device. For example, consider a thermometer whose noted states are on and off. As the thermometer depicts only the temperature of a certain area and does not perform any other action, it is said to have only one property type. Now consider a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Designing A User Interface Design Introduction User Interface design focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand and use. Universal user interface design is aimed to develop products that can be used by all people in different environments to the greatest extent possible, without having the need to adapt or having a specialized design (Chubb, 2014). The computing environment is growing rapidly, and this has made it possible for the designers to focus on the development of interfaces that presents information in the most effective manner to people using various devices like laptops, tablets and smartphones, as well as people with disabilities in the various modalities. Therefore, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Flexibility in use– Universal interface design should accommodate preferences and abilities of wide range of individuals. Tolerance for error– The design should have measures and controls that can help minimize hazards and the adverse consequences that can be caused by accidental actions. Additionally, the design should have a mechanism for communicating the status, as well as the next steps where applicable, in order to reduce frustration for the users (Stephanidis, 2013). How Section 508 Affects the Development of User Interfaces and the Impact of Standards on Users Section 508 requires Federal departments and agencies that develop, procure, maintain or use electronic and information technology to ensure that Federal employees and the members of the public with disabilities, have access to, and use of information and data as the individuals without disability, unless it will be undue burden to the institution to do so. Web based applications are required to present their information in a manner that makes it possible for the disabled users to have access too. Therefore, the development of the user interfaces are affected in the following way: The interface should provide a text equivalent for every non–text element, the alternatives for the presentation of multimedia are supposed to be synchronized within the presentation, ... In recent years, the changing environment of the electronics industry had a profound impact on the way Custom Molds conducts its business and manufacturing processes. The changing sales mix, coupled with delivery and quality problems, prompted the company to revise its business strategies to address to following issues: 1) Changing trends in the electronics manufacturing industry that caused changes in clients' order needs 2) Unpredictable bottlenecks in the production ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fabrication of a mold takes two to four weeks, depending on the amount of work the machinist already has scheduled, even though the fabrication process itself takes only three to five days. There are 13 master machinists in the company, and it is always the same machinist who was assigned to the design team. This means an unequal amount of work is distributed among the machinists. The estimated time for this step can be further shortened if the use of resources can be managed effectively. The parts manufacturing process, especially for molds that were previously manufactured and maintained in inventory, is a somewhat different process than that for mold fabrication. Raw material ordered for this process usually takes a week to arrive, contributing to an extended lead time for delivery of parts to clients. Custom Molds' practice of ordering raw materials only after the specification review is clearly affecting the timely delivery of its orders, and in the parts manufacturing industry where delivery times are critical, this can affect the company's relationships with clients. Even though Custom Molds has the capacity to produce 5,000 parts per day in the injection– molding department, the lead time for handling orders in this department has averaged one week. This reflects the department's inability to fully utilize the company's production output capability to accelerate the delivery time based on production. 2) Quality Issues To add to the

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover the sharing of a single Bluetooth module between numerous devices has the disadvantage of incurring an access delay. [4] introduced a phone based remote controller for home and office automation. The system differs in that all communications occur over a fixed telephone line and not over the Internet. The system can be accessed using any telephone that supports dual tone multiple frequency (DTMF). The disadvantages of this system are threefold: users are not provided with a graphical user interface, users have to remember an access code, and they have to remember which buttons to press for the control of connected devices. [5] proposed a novel control network, using hand gestures. The controller uses a glove to relay hand gestures to the system. The problem with the system lies in the inaccuracy of hand gestures, with the potential for normal arm movements being inaccurately interpreted as commands. Moreover, there is the risk of user fatigue if repetitive hand gestures are required. The introduction provides a short review of the existing academic research into home automation. The publically available research into home automation lies predominantly in the academic arena, with little industrial research being publically available. The adoption of home automation technologies into commercial systems has been limited, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Peak Power Reduction by controlling clock using path clustering Sindhu V1 and Mr.P.Nagarajan2 1PG Scholar, Dept of ECE, Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, ssshaadhu@gmail.com 2Assistant professor,Dept of ECE, Vivekanandha college of engineering for Women ,greennagarajan@gmail.com Abstract–Power reduction is an major challenge in the integrated circuit design since it degrades the chip performance the reliability. Frequent transistor switching caused due to large IR–voltage drops gives raise to timing violations and logic failures. A new clock control strategy is been introduced in this paper such that the simultaneous switching of the combinational paths is minimized. This is achieved by clustering the delay slacks having similar slack values. Once the paths are identified based on the path delays and their slack values the clustering algorithm determines the path to clusters in a load balanced manner based on the slack values and each cluster will have a phase shift possible on its clock depending on the slack. INTRODUCTION Low power has emerged as a major goal in today's electronics industry. The motivations for reducing power consumption differ from application to application. For high performance, portable computers, such as laptop and notebook computers, the goal is to reduce the power dissipation of the electronics portion of the system to a point that is about half of the total power dissipation (including that of display and hard disk). • 74. Automation Of Health Care : The Heart Of The Hippocratic Oath Automation of Health Care Maximizing successful patient outcomes is the heart of the Hippocratic Oath. To treat one's illness to the best of a physician's ability while preserving a patient's privacy is the foundation of health professionals and health care institutions strategic intent. While this oath is one of the oldest binding documents in history its principles are still held sacred today (Tyson, 2001). The use of this oath or a modern version of it, with graduating medical professionals, is common. Taking this oath would suggest that as new technologies become readily available and help improve outcomes it is incumbent on the physician to embrace its adoption. Castillo, Martinez– Garcia and Pulido (2010) identified physicians have been slow to embrace electronic systems which are capable of improving patient outcomes and lowering the cost of conducting business. Automation of information includes computerized physician prescription, computerized physician order entry, electronic medical records, electronic alerts, automated decision support, and electronic capture of clinical data that enables service quality improvement.. With automation comes a new level of challenges surrounding adoption, security, training and integration of standards and systems. Health care is becoming automated. Automation is not limited to the infrastructure surrounding the health care institution. Procedures can now occur with a surgical unit on one side of the world while the ... • 76. Why I Want To Pursue A Master Of Science Degree "Education is not preparation for life; Education is life for itself." These are the words of John Dewey, which have led an everlasting impression on my mind. It relates to the idea of lifelong learning, and the knowledge that education is much more than what lies within the curriculum. Whenever I pause by to reflect on my ken of knowledge, I feel that how little I have learnt and that an enormous, unknown and fascinating wealth of knowledge lies before me, yet to be explored. Education is like an edifice based on strong rudiments and strengthened by the fundamentals and practical skills acquired during one's lifetime. So my main goal is to design the next generation innovations in field rather than being just a user of existing technologies and findings. So I intend to pursue Master of Science degree in "Automotive software Engineering" at your university as the first step towards obtaining a PHD. "Nothing is Impossible in Life" has always been a motivating force behind all my achievements. I strongly believe that enjoy what we do and having the passion to pursue, we can ultimately achieve our destination, no matter how much efforts are needed. My inherent urge and interest to pursue engineering emanates from an instinctive inclination for Physics and Mathematics since my schooling. From early childhood, I was very captivated with electronic appliances around me. I would ask my parents about their principle of working. I always tried to find out what basic elements and ...
