Reflections on Sandbox Time Results As a part of the Professional Development training, we introduced tangible technologies to the teachers of a
university funded preschool. We presented KIBO, Cubetto, Sphero and Puzzlet to the teachers. While KIBO and Cubetto are screen free tangible
technologies, Sphero and Puzzlet are accompanied by an Ipad. After we introduced the tangible technologies, we asked eight teachers to ponder the
ways of implementing these tangible technologies to their current projects or their classroom settings. The teachers wrote their ideas of utilizing those

This approach will also save the teacher valuable time in the classroom. Two projects were implemented in classrooms to prove the effectiveness of
giving students as much power as they can handle when learning new technology. The first was a journal writing project for first grade classrooms.
Teachers selected two students from each classroom to be experts. These two students were taught how to create a new journal template and make
daily entries. They then had the responsibility of helping the other students begin writing their journals. This responsibility involved being guides for

My Writing, Reflection, And Technology In Academic Writing
When the semester began, I struggled with many of our learning outcomes. However, by completing Project Four, I have made great advancements
in my ability to read, write, reflect, and use technology in academic writing. I have noticed that gradually my writing and comprehension have
grown. Therefore, my overall experience in English 1010 was great. Professor Jeff Pruchnic is a great teacher, whom I learned I great deal from. I've
always struggled with rhetorical analysis essays in high school. In his class he made the essays seem easier than I remember and now I understand
each person part.
The reading objective helped me with my comprehension skills. In other words, I have developed the skills to read a text and infer what the author's
purpose and meaning of the text. In class, we did various exercises as a class to help to try to find the main ideas of an article. We would pair off into
groups and annotate an article that Professor Pruchnic assigns to guidelines.
For example, Professor Pruchnic asked the class to annotate the article "Trump Tells Pence to Leave NFL" and make our annotations with the
understanding that we are going to generate a response to the piece under review. After we complete our annotations, use the response templates in
The Warrior Writer to create an "agree" "disagree" and "agree and disagree" statement about arguments or "sides" addressed in the article. Overall, all
this practice helped me in the long run.
Writing helped me get all of my thoughts down before constructing my essays. In my years at high school, I've always needed to write my rough
draft before typing it because I felted that this was a better way for me to get all the details down before I lose my train of thought. But, now there are
other ways that I have met that I believe will
work just as well. One of those ways was the "quotes in response exercise, which we had to choose five quotes from an article and respond to them in
full paragraphs.
This technique was an exercise that I enjoyed because I felt like it helped my essay better flow and it made it easier to find main points to discuss.

My first idea came up short, so I decided to try a different approach. Instead of using a rock as my paper, I thought I would find one I could use as a
pencil. It did not take too long before I found a rock with some good edges I could use to cut and scrape with. I then proceeded to look for a piece of
wood I could record some very deep and profound thoughts on ("This pen sucks. I miss my keyboard."). After a while I located a suitable branch, big

For the base of my project, I arranged rows of sticks that I would tie together with the vines. I tried to pull the vines apart to make them easier to tie
with, as I had seen Tom Hanks do in the movie Cast Away, but I was unable to tear a strip that was much longer than the length of my finger. The

In "Is Google Making Us Stupid," Nicolas Carr demonstrates his point of view regarding the negative effect of google on the function of the brain.
Carr believes that Google is having a tremendously negative effect on the function of the brain, and the fact that google is allowing individuals to solve
complex problems quicker is causing damage to the brain. Neurons are significantly important particles in the brain, when the brain is not used for
solving complex problems those neurons are most likely to die. Additionally, excessive usage ofgoogle results in weakening of reading and writing
skills. The majority of the people who are exposed to the usage of google are noticing a dramatic change in function of their brain. However, as the

I am a proud user of technology and I love how easily it allows me to connect to people all across the world. The text in my opinion didn't have any
effect on what I think about technology. But I do think that the excerpt is definitely relevant and important to our culture at this day in time because

It can be beneficial to allow us access to a wide variety of information we, otherwise, would not have. However, we should also be careful to not
develop an overdependence on technology. If we become entirely reliant on technology, and remain incapable of doing tasks on our own, without
understanding the concepts and ideas we are making decisions with, then we are not leaders. We are simply a person using a tool and hoping that
we get the right outcome. If we learn how to properly manage the use of technology, then we become a leader and a tactician, someone who knows
