Marilyn Monroe Persuasive Speech
Standing at the microphone she was suddenly overwhelmed by stage fright. She later confessed
thinking, "I'll sing this song if it's the last thing I ever do." Jack smiled broadly as she finally
launched into her breathy and seductive version of "Happy Birthday Mr President"– and a giant cake
was wheeled out. On stage with Monroe by his side the President recklessly announced, "I can now
retire from politics after having "Happy Birthday" sung to me in such a sweet wholesome way." This
was dangerous in front of a national audience however Kennedy felt that in the case of Marilyn
Monroe it was best to hide in plain sight. However, "The Secret Service had specific instructions not

A notorious private eye Fred Otash's file was released after his death. He states that Monroe had an
argument with RFK. "It was a violent argument ... she was really screaming and they were trying to
quiet her. She's in the bedroom and Bobby gets a pillow and muffles her...to keep the neighbours
from hearing. She finally quieted down and then he was looking to get out of there." Otash claimed
Monroe had a sexual relationship with both Kennedys. In his notes Otash says, "Marilyn wanted a
mini–phone listening device" and said he spied on her when she was giving him money to install
recording equipment. To tape her phone calls. "The microphone was in the wristwatch." In1985, he

Eminence: The Common Persons Perspective
Eminence : The Common Persons Perspective According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, Political
Geography is a branch of geography that deals with human governments, the boundaries and
subdivisions of political units (as nations or states), and the situations of cities. Political Geography
concerns itself with trying to understand how spatial distributions of structures effect relations and
how relations between governments work. Our Geography Project group chose to focus onto a more
unusual, yet simple question; "What do citizens think the problems are in Eminence and is the local
polity concerned with said problems." We felt that Eminence doesn't face any large issues, so if we
were to try to find one we would need to rely on the opinions of ... Show more content on

The most common problems people had with Eminence were the lack of a good grocery store,
drugs, lack of things for kids to do, and the need for more employment. By talking to some of the
locals, I found that Norms was the local grocery store, but it went into debt and is currently going
out of business. During our interviews, it was clear that Norms going out of business was very
upsetting. The only places people could get their groceries from is Shelbyville causing people to pay
more just to get their food. Drugs is a different kind of issue. I relied on the minutes of the council to
find the monthly police department report. When analyzing the reports there was a noticeable
amount of arrests purely dealing with drugs. Looking back at August through March, there has been
a steady amount of arrests, no signs of decline. Next, to find out why people thought there was a
lack of employment, I used the Chamber of Commerce business list for Henry county. The few
business that are in Eminence are either family owned or small. Many people are either left to find
laborious work or travel to nearby cites. Finally, we were unable to make any conclusions about why
people thought there was a lack of activities for kids. None of our collected data showed that people
had kids. This was our fault though and would definitely be something we would change if we were

County Commission Definition
The county commission is pretty neat. They decide what our taxes go towards and try to improve
our lives as citizens of West Virginia. Also they give us parks and parks are good for tag. Most of the
money goes towards public works projects and keeping the capitol in good condition. But what does
my county commission do for me? The taxes we pay go towards making the state better as a whole.
The county commission is there to make sure our taxes are not wasted. If we have more parks and
attractions more tourists will come and that will create more stores. The more stores the more jobs
and jobs help make West Virginia the best it can be. If the county commission can create jobs, then
more people can support their families. The county commission

Marilyn Monroe Research Paper
Many people know Marilyn Monroe as a beauty and pop culture icon, an actress, and a singer. But,
many do not know just how she was discovered. If someone asked you to guess how she was
discovered, what would you guess? Sitting in a restaurant, dining on gourmet food? Standing in line
for a movie or play, all dressed up? How about working in an airplane factory, aiding in the war
effort? Marlin got her start as a model for David Conover, who worked as an army photographer for
the 1st motion picture unit. Because he was sent to take pictures of women in war work, he
discovered Marilyn Monroe, who even though she was covered in dirt, still stunned Conover by her
beauty. Marilyn credits Conover by saying, "Yes, I always knew the camera was kind ... Show more

This time, however, it was the head of the Blue Book Model Agency in Los Angeles, Emmaline
Snively. She sent Marilyn a brochure and showed interest in using her as long as she would take
Blue Book's 3–month modeling course. Marilyn almost denied Snively's request because of the
modeling course's $100 fee. In pursuit to get Marilyn to sign with Blue Book, Snively agreed to let
Marilyn not pay. Instead the compensation was taken out of her modeling payment. Snively was
willing to do almost anything to get Marilyn. She once said, "Models ask me how they can be like
Marilyn Monroe and I say to them, honey, I say to them, if you can show me half the gumption, just
half, that little girls showed, you'll be a success too...there'll never be another like her." During this
coarse, Marilyn was taught to lower her smile to alleviate the shadow cast by her nose. This resulted
in the quivering lips that would soon become Marilyn's trademark. Her first assignment with Blue
Book was a 10–day hostess job in Holga Steel's booth at an industrial show at the Pan Pacific
Auditorium. The more assignments she went on, the more famous Marilyn became. Soon, she was
offered contracts from the biggest movie and television production companies in the country, such
as Fox. (Doll

Marilyn Monroe Conspiracy Theory
Marilyn Monroe was born on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California. Her first name was Norma
Jeane Mortensen, but she has gone by Marilyn Monroe since 1946. She ended up legally changing it
to Marilyn Monroe in 1956. Monroe's childhood was definitely a challenging and difficult one as
she was in foster care for most of it. She was sexually assaulted many times, and even said that she
was raped when she was only eleven years old. She later dropped out of school and married her
boyfriend, Jimmy Dougherty in 1942 at the age of only 16. Later on, Monroe became a model and
due to her career divorced Jimmy in 1946. Monroe later signed her first movie contract, but didn't
gain much attention until staring in the 1950s film, The Asphalt Jungle. Monroe ... Show more

There was no residue left inside her to think it was from the pills so it must have been from a lethal
injection. There are many theories to how Marilyn Monroe may have been murdered. Some people
think that Monroe's death was murder from John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy, (with whom
Marilyn supposedly have had affairs with), saying that she knew too much about the Kennedy
family and that she was going to announce the secrets publicly to the world, and Bobby Kennedy
was in Los Angeles that weekend. Fred Otash claimed that he had bugged Marilyn Monroe's room
and had heard her screams as Bobby Kennedy suffocated her to death. The other theory is that the
Kenney's sent the mafia to go murder her. The last one was that Dr. Greenson, her doctor, overdosed
her not knowing that she was already on other medication. I later found out that the writer of the
article had no background information which led me to believe that he or she was a fraud. If it was
from lethal injection then why wasn't any needle marks found? I started to believe another theory
that Marilyn Monroe died by a dose of enema. Supposedly she was a fan of enema, but to perform
the enema dose there must have been another person to give the lethal dose to her. So people
believed it was her doctor, Dr. Greenson. I believed this, until I found out that the article was written
by an intern for the website history news network. Clearly, there is just not enough real evidence and
professional researchers/organizations to prove that Marilyn Monroe was

Essay on Marilyn Monroe and Borderline Personality Disorder
Marilyn Monroe is a well–known legend and has been a public figure for several decades. Monroe
was a distinguished model, actress, and singer, who quickly became known as a major sex symbol.
Monroe starred in a large number of successful motion pictures during the late 1940s and early
1960s. She began her career as a model, which led to a film contract in 1946. Throughout her career,
Monroe's films grossed more than $200 million ("Marilyn Monroe Biography," 2013). Marilyn
Monroe swiftly became more known to the public for her behavior and outlandish actions; she was
eventually diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.
Background History Marilyn Monroe was born on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. Monroe
was originally given ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She was also often anxious and had moderate colds and coughs. Marilyn Monroe spent the majority
of her early years living in a fictional world she created as an escape from reality. She sometimes
told the other children in her orphanage eccentric tales about her having loving parents who had just
went on a trip. Monroe would create fake postcards, she would sign from her parents to go along
with her story (Spoto, 1993, p. 47). She had also managed to convince herself that Clark Gable was
her father, although it was not a possibility (Spoto, 1993, p. 45; 54). After growing up in orphanages,
Marilyn realized the only way to be released from the foster system was to get married. Marilyn
Monroe decided to drop out of high school and marry her boyfriend at the time. Her first husband
was a merchant marine by the name James Dougherty (Hendrickson, 2000). Dougherty was much
older than Monroe who was then only sixteen years old. Although like the marriages to her other
two husbands, Joe DeMaggio and Arthur Miller did not last for various reasons.
Factors Contributing to Mental Illness One can point out many factors could have led or contributed
to Marilyn Monroe being diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. As stated in her back
ground history she had many stressful events throughout her childhood and adult life. Monroe's
childhood was filled with poverty. The simple fact of Monroe's mother being diagnosed with a
mental illness posed a greater treat of her

Why We Need An Urban County Government
Why We Need an Urban County Government
For too long this area has taken a back seat to the larger cities around us. We need to join the rest of
the progressive regions in this state and establish a new, more efficient form of government. Pulaski
County and the cities of Somerset, Science Hill, Ferguson, and Burnside need to merge together and
create an urban county government. This will help to consolidate duplicate services, provide better
representation for the citizens of Pulaski County, and strengthen the economy in this region.
We live in a magnificent part of the state of Kentucky. We have picturesque landscapes, really
pleasant residents, and a magnificent lake that supports a huge part of our economy through tourism.

As a result, it is possible for the citizens to vote to implement this type of government. Therefore, in
April of 2013 the Somerset–Pulaski County United group formed and began the process of having
feasibility studies done to see if the formation of an urban county government would be an
alternative that would serve our area well. According to the Commonwealth Journal, a newspaper in
Somerset, Kentucky, "A group of about 60 community leaders, clustered as Somerset–Pulaski
County United (SPCU), is embarking on a study to determine if a consolidated or united
government in Pulaski County would be more efficient and more responsive to the county's 63,000
residents." (Mardis and Shmidheiser). This group, a cross–section that well represents the residents
of this county, believes that the formation an urban county government is a great opportunity for all
our futures.
Unfortunately, the SPCU has faced much antagonism in this initial phase of work. Many current
government leaders are afraid of what changes might do to their positions of power. But these same
leaders are also the ones who create problems and allow current ones to continue. Having a council
of peers will give a voice everyone in the area, not just the few who reside in the

Collin County is a governing body north of Dallas that has been experiencing rapid growth over the

In 2007, Venezuelan police fired teargas to stop thousands of protesters against a new education law
that will change the curriculum taught in schools (Baguley and Winter 12). The government says the

is the working conditions in Venezuela (Baguley and Winter 10). They have not passed laws that

James Monroe
On April 28, 1758, James Monroe was born in a town of Westmoreland County, Virginia. His
parents Spence Monroe a farmer and carpenter and his mother Elizabeth Jones Monroe had seven
children. Monroe was the oldest of all his siblings and was home schooled. His mother was his
teacher until 1769, at the age of eleven, Monroe attended his first school, Campbeltown Academy.
James had thought that he would inherit his father 's farm, but in the year of 1774 Spence Monroe
died. That same year, at the age of 16, Monroe applied to the College of William and Mary in
Williamsburg, Virginia. Monroe dropped out of school in the year of 1776 to enlist in the
Continental Army. When fighting in the Battle of Trenton, James was injured, and for the rest of his
life, he had shrapnel stuck in his shoulder. Even with his injury, Monroe continued to fight with the
army pushing through the rough winters at Valley Forge from the years 1777 to 1778. As governor
of Virginia, Thomas Jefferson took young Monroe under his guidance when teaching him about the
law during the year of 1780. Jefferson encouraged his close friend Monroe to become involved with
politics. Monroe passed the Virginia bar in 1782 and was elected to Virginia 's House of Congress. A

The Groundwater Of California Is A Serious Policy Matter
The groundwater of California is a serious policy matter in legislation. If there is drought, such as
years like this, then management is necessary because it may encourage more pumping to supplant
the water not gathered from other resources. Groundwater can account for as much as 35% of all the
water used by California (cite). Unfortunately, there are not many laws established to regulate
groundwater. The basins can replenish if they are pumped on a limited basis during normal or peak
years. Luckily, proposals have been brought forth to help regulate ground water basins to insure
their use is efficient and does not harm the environment.

There are some proposals that are favorites to be pushed through legislation that can help start the
process of managing our groundwater usage.
The local agriculture groups do not want the state to manage the groundwater based on their
management of the surface water (cite). So far, all the proposed plans have the local entities being in
charge of their groundwater. Governor Brown has proposed his "Water Action Plan", which is a
series of actions that the local entities should perform. Another significant proposal is bill SB–1168,
which is making its rounds in legislation and is authored by Senator Pavley. Each plan has its own
merits that will be explored.
Governor Brown's "Water Action Plan" is very clear and concise plan for the local governments to
follow when managing the groundwater. The plan has a clear definition of the challenges that are
present for the use water. There is a brief overview of the challenges and how the plan will address
the issues. The first proposed a plan is for the administration to increase the funding and expand the
California Statewide Groundwater Elevation Monitoring Program, "which provides essential data to

Relationship Between State and Local Government Essay
Forms of Local Government
The basis for county, city and special district governing and authority are laid out in the State
Constitution and Government Code. Counties in California are responsible for providing limited
services to unincorporated areas. The state Legislature created the Local Agency Formation
Commission (LAFCO) in 1963 to control local government fragmentation. The Local Agency
Formation Commission (LAFCO) gives counties the power to tax, create special districts and annex
unincorporated land to cities in the county (League of Women Voters, 1992).
There are three classes of county government. The main differences are in the organization and
selection of governing bodies and officers. General Law counties elect ... Show more content on

Municipalities may also provide parks, public housing, and various utility services. Cities are
required to develop a general plan, environmental reports and review of their capital improvements
program (League of California Cities, n.d.). Charter municipalities may have increased powers,
requiring a vote for adoption and amendment. Incorporated cities and towns have the power to levy
taxes. Special districts provide focused service. They only serve specific designated areas and
provide only one service. That service is a public service or program constitutes want. While county
and city service are mandated by federal and state government, special districts provide what the
public wants. Local agency loss of property tax revenue and competition for existing revenue leaves
fewer dollars for services. Residents and landowners can form a district to pay for an increased level
of service or other services they desire. Local citizens can receive services at the price they are
willing to pay (League of Women Voters, 1992).
Special districts are not state government. They are accountable to the voters. State government does
look over financial reports and requires state law be followed for public meetings, bonded debt,
record keeping and elections. They provide public services and infrastructure that help communities
but not direct economic development (CSDA, n.d.).

The Mayor Case Study
The Role of the Mayor
Introduction to the Issue
This essay aims to examine the role of the mayor in regards to the politics of local government in
Ontario. The process of the development of public policy has shifted considerably during the last
few decades. Due to the advent of globalization and of social media, public sector decision making
has expanded to include more stakeholders than ever before. As a result, mayors have come under
significant pressures to engage not only political actors in decision making, but also communities
and individuals as well, which changes the way that they operate in their public role. This indicates
that the idea of municipal governance may also be changing within the minds of citizens. This essay
will draw on a case study based on the city of Mississauga and its needs from the mayor and city
council. This essay strives to provide insight into the process of developing a strong mayoral

James Monroe: Heroes Of War
Heroes are often seen as heroes of war or heroes of countries. James Monroe, the fifth president of

The Ethical Theory Of Ethics
What is the right thing to do when you're faced with corruption in the work place? Should you
simply condone the behavior, participate in it, or remove yourself from the situation? Is there more
at stake here than just your own interests and prosperity? This essay will look at a case study
involving corruption in a local county government. In this case, Jenny must decide whether or not to
expose the rampant corruption prevalent in her workplace. Should Jenny turn a blind eye thereby
avoiding any negative consequences, or should she expose these actions and possibly compromise
her career aspirations? In considering her case, I believe the best choice Jenny should make involves
her exposing the corruption. I will argue for this position through the utilitarian theory of ethics.
Before I argue for what Jenny should do, we should first look at the options available to her. Jenny
could choose to ignore the obvious theft and misuse of public funds and property. Additionally, she
could accept the nepotism displayed by the rest of her coworkers. The immediate benefit to her
would be in maintaining the status quo. Jenny would continue to work here until such time as she
would be able to move onto another government work place. But choosing this option would mean
she would be indirectly approving of the behavior we know has made her uncomfortable. Besides
the guilt she would experience, Jenny would also be subject to possible prosecution once the
corruption was discovered. For

General-Purpose State Governments
American local governments sprouted in response to a combination of citizen demand, interest
group pressure, and state government acquiescence. As a consequence, no scientific system of local
government exists. General–purpose local governments perform a wide variety of governmental
functions, and counties, municipalities, and towns and townships all fall into this category. Special
purpose local governments generally focus on a specific purpose and one function. Best known of
these are the school districts. Regardless of name, it is state government that gives local
governments of all types their legal life.

There are some 33,000 special districts around the country, and their number is growing. They
overlay existing general–purpose governments and differ in their organization–they are minuscule to
mammoth. They continue to exist because of technical and practical limits on the general–purpose
local government, the special debt and tax advantages under which the special district operates, and
the political power that they accrue. They accrue political power because of restrictive annexation
laws faced by cities and the limits on county government authority. Once created, the special–
district interests fight encroachment by general–purpose governments. Supporters argue they are
efficient in providing a service and are responsive to constituents whose needs were not met by
general–purpose government. However, many scholars look at them with a jaundiced eye, because
they feel that they operate without enough political accountability and that well placed groups are
their special beneficiaries. Some states are taking action to give general–purpose local governments

James Monroe had many memorable moments in his two four year terms and the most famous of
these moments is the Monroe Doctrine. December 2, 1823 the Monroe Doctrine was delivered to
Congress. This document was a response to the threat of conservative governments aiding Spain in
the reconquest of it's former Latin American colonies. Great Britain agreed with Monroe in not

alone and also that Russia should not grow into the Southward coast of the Pacific. ". . . the

Conspiracy Theories Behind Marilyn Monroe's Death
The news of Marilyn Monroe's death began to spread. Newspapers were seen everywhere with her
bright, smiling face and the giant, bolded letters of 'death' stamped on the front pages. Even The
New York Times published a newspaper article titled "Marilyn Monroe Dead, Pills Near." In this
article, Dr. Theodore J. Curphey, the coroner, declares Monroe's death to have not been from natural
causes: "After an autopsy the Los Angeles coroner reported that Miss Monroe's 'was not a natural
death.' He attributed it to a drug" ("Marilyn Monroe Dead, Pills Near"). Her death seemed to be the
typical case of overdosing on barbiturates with traces of chloral hydrate which are both sedatives or

There is no actual confirmation besides untrustworthy gossip that Marilyn Monroe succeeded past
those attempted phone calls. Her calls to Washington were never accepted, she was always sent to
voicemail. Even if it were true; if she did manage to make contact and had an affair with either/both
of the Kennedy's, her autopsy report negates any sort of foul play. Expert medical examiner Dr. Judy
Melinek confirms that Monroe's autopsy aligns with the signs of self–induced overdosed. Any sort
of needle or forced injection would have been spotted by the coroner immediately, "If drugs are
injected by a needle you can typically see a needle puncture mark in the location of the injection,
and this would be more likely to be visible if they were injected against the will of the person, as
they would be fighting/resisting" (Melinek, 2018). Dr. Melinek also points out that it would be quite
normal that no residue from the medication would have been found in Monroe's stomach if enough
time between her death and her arrival to the morgue had passed, "The absence of residue found in
the stomach does not mean the drugs were not ingested. Drugs are designed to dissolve in the fluid
and acidic stomach contents and no residue would be detected within several hours of ingestion"
(Melinek, 2018). With this expert testimony confirming Marilyn Monroe's autopsy reports as
legitimate leaves the official cause of death by possible suicide by overdose as

This is because the fraudulent activity was reported by a local news magazine that decided to take

uncover that McCraney purchased his home upgrade in cash. This was estimated to be about
$125,000, which was upgraded immediately and expanded within a couple of months.
Also, it was reported that he purchased an estimate of $200,000 in cash for new cars alongside his

unrecognized resources. First, Buffalo has access to the Great Lakes. As water scarcity becomes a
more pressing issue, the Great Lakes will become an even more valuable resource. Buffalo needs to
recognize the value of this resource and stop dumping raw sewage into the water. Second, the city is
located near Niagara Falls, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world. The only problem is
that Buffalo doesn't have as many attractions to keep tourist in the area for a longer period. Also, its
rich past has endowed it with magnificent architecture and historic landmarks. By accentuating these
locations, Buffalo could increase its tourism traffic. The economic situation in Buffalo has been
bleak, but its proximity to Toronto could lead to a resurgence if the city's prime location is utilized.
By taking stock of the resources that it has at its disposal, Buffalo can change the narrative about its
future

Jack smiled broadly as she finally launched into her breathy and seductive version of "Happy Birthday Mr President"– and a giant cake was wheeled out. On stage with Monroe by his side the President recklessly announced, "I can now retire from politics after having "Happy Birthday" sung to me in such a sweet wholesome way." This was dangerous in front of a national audience however Kennedy felt that in the case of Marilyn Monroe it was best to hide in plain sight. "It was a violent argument ... she was really screaming and they were trying to quiet her. She's in the bedroom and Bobby gets a pillow and muffles her...to keep the neighbours from hearing. She finally quieted down and then he was looking to get out of there." Otash claimed Monroe had a sexual relationship with both Kennedys. In his notes Otash says, "Marilyn wanted a mini–phone listening device" and said he spied on her when she was giving him money to install recording equipment. To tape her phone calls. "The microphone was in the wristwatch." • 7. Eminence: The Common Persons Perspective Eminence : The Common Persons Perspective According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, Political Geography is a branch of geography that deals with human governments, the boundaries and subdivisions of political units (as nations or states), and the situations of cities. Political Geography concerns itself with trying to understand how spatial distributions of structures effect relations and how relations between governments work. Our Geography Project group chose to focus onto a more unusual, yet simple question; "What do citizens think the problems are in Eminence and is the local polity concerned with said problems." We felt that Eminence doesn't face any large issues, so if we were to try to find one we would need to rely on the opinions of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most common problems people had with Eminence were the lack of a good grocery store, drugs, lack of things for kids to do, and the need for more employment. By talking to some of the locals, I found that Norms was the local grocery store, but it went into debt and is currently going out of business. During our interviews, it was clear that Norms going out of business was very upsetting. The only places people could get their groceries from is Shelbyville causing people to pay more just to get their food. Drugs is a different kind of issue. I relied on the minutes of the council to find the monthly police department report. When analyzing the reports there was a noticeable amount of arrests purely dealing with drugs. Looking back at August through March, there has been a steady amount of arrests, no signs of decline. Next, to find out why people thought there was a lack of employment, I used the Chamber of Commerce business list for Henry county. The few business that are in Eminence are either family owned or small. Many people are either left to find laborious work or travel to nearby cites. Finally, we were unable to make any conclusions about why people thought there was a lack of activities for kids. None of our collected data showed that people had kids. This was our fault though and would definitely be something we would change if we were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If someone asked you to guess how she was discovered, what would you guess? Sitting in a restaurant, dining on gourmet food? Standing in line for a movie or play, all dressed up? How about working in an airplane factory, aiding in the war effort? Marlin got her start as a model for David Conover, who worked as an army photographer for the 1st motion picture unit. Instead the compensation was taken out of her modeling payment. Snively was willing to do almost anything to get Marilyn. She once said, "Models ask me how they can be like Marilyn Monroe and I say to them, honey, I say to them, if you can show me half the gumption, just half, that little girls showed, you'll be a success too...there'll never be another like her." During this coarse, Marilyn was taught to lower her smile to alleviate the shadow cast by her nose. This resulted in the quivering lips that would soon become Marilyn's trademark. Her first assignment with Blue Book was a 10–day hostess job in Holga Steel's booth at an industrial show at the Pan Pacific Auditorium. The more assignments she went on, the more famous Marilyn became. Soon, she was offered contracts from the biggest movie and television production companies in the country, such as Fox. (Doll ... • 17. Marilyn Monroe Conspiracy Theory Marilyn Monroe was born on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California. Her first name was Norma Jeane Mortensen, but she has gone by Marilyn Monroe since 1946. She ended up legally changing it to Marilyn Monroe in 1956. Monroe's childhood was definitely a challenging and difficult one as she was in foster care for most of it. She was sexually assaulted many times, and even said that she was raped when she was only eleven years old. She later dropped out of school and married her boyfriend, Jimmy Dougherty in 1942 at the age of only 16. Later on, Monroe became a model and due to her career divorced Jimmy in 1946. There was no residue left inside her to think it was from the pills so it must have been from a lethal injection. There are many theories to how Marilyn Monroe may have been murdered. Some people think that Monroe's death was murder from John F. Fred Otash claimed that he had bugged Marilyn Monroe's room and had heard her screams as Bobby Kennedy suffocated her to death. The other theory is that the Kenney's sent the mafia to go murder her. The last one was that Dr. Greenson, her doctor, overdosed her not knowing that she was already on other medication. I later found out that the writer of the article had no background information which led me to believe that he or she was a fraud. If it was from lethal injection then why wasn't any needle marks found? I started to believe another theory that Marilyn Monroe died by a dose of enema. Supposedly she was a fan of enema, but to perform the enema dose there must have been another person to give the lethal dose to her. So people believed it was her doctor, Dr. Greenson. I believed this, until I found out that the article was written by an intern for the website history news network. According to the Commonwealth Journal, a newspaper in Somerset, Kentucky, "A group of about 60 community leaders, clustered as Somerset–Pulaski County United (SPCU), is embarking on a study to determine if a consolidated or united government in Pulaski County would be more efficient and more responsive to the county's 63,000 residents." Should you simply condone the behavior, participate in it, or remove yourself from the situation? Is there more at stake here than just your own interests and prosperity? This essay will look at a case study involving corruption in a local county government. In this case, Jenny must decide whether or not to expose the rampant corruption prevalent in her workplace. Should Jenny turn a blind eye thereby avoiding any negative consequences, or should she expose these actions and possibly compromise her career aspirations? In considering her case, I believe the best choice Jenny should make involves her exposing the corruption. I will argue for this position through the utilitarian theory of ethics. Before I argue for what Jenny should do, we should first look at the options available to her. Jenny could choose to ignore the obvious theft and misuse of public funds and property. Additionally, she could accept the nepotism displayed by the rest of her coworkers. The immediate benefit to her would be in maintaining the status quo. Jenny would continue to work here until such time as she would be able to move onto another government work place. But choosing this option would mean she would be indirectly approving of the behavior we know has made her uncomfortable. Besides the guilt she would experience, Jenny would also be subject to possible prosecution once the corruption was discovered. For ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This became the Missouri Compromise bill, which paired Missouri as a slave state with Maine, a free state, and forbade slavery north and west of Missouri forever. James Monroe had many memorable moments in his two four year terms and the most famous of these moments is the Monroe Doctrine. December 2, 1823 the Monroe Doctrine was delivered to Congress. This document was a response to the threat of conservative governments aiding Spain in the reconquest of it's former Latin American colonies. Great Britain agreed with Monroe in not aiding Spain, until Spain's threat hit Florida. Monroe believed that Spain should leave Latin America alone and also that Russia should not grow into the Southward coast of the Pacific. ". . . the American continents," he said, "by the free and independent condition which they have assumed and maintain, are henceforth not to be considered as subjects for future colonization by any European Power." Leaving the White House after two terms, Monroe and his wife went to spend their days at their estate "Oak Hill" in Loudoun County, Virginia. After his wife died in 1830, Monroe moved to New ... • 59. Conspiracy Theories Behind Marilyn Monroe's Death The news of Marilyn Monroe's death began to spread. Newspapers were seen everywhere with her bright, smiling face and the giant, bolded letters of 'death' stamped on the front pages. Even The New York Times published a newspaper article titled "Marilyn Monroe Dead, Pills Near." In this article, Dr. Theodore J. Curphey, the coroner, declares Monroe's death to have not been from natural causes: "After an autopsy the Los Angeles coroner reported that Miss Monroe's 'was not a natural death.' He attributed it to a drug" ("Marilyn Monroe Dead, Pills Near"). Her death seemed to be the typical case of overdosing on barbiturates with traces of chloral hydrate which are both sedatives or sleeping pills (Los Angeles County Coroner's Mortuary, 1962). There ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is no actual confirmation besides untrustworthy gossip that Marilyn Monroe succeeded past those attempted phone calls. Her calls to Washington were never accepted, she was always sent to voicemail. Even if it were true; if she did manage to make contact and had an affair with either/both of the Kennedy's, her autopsy report negates any sort of foul play. Expert medical examiner Dr. Judy Melinek confirms that Monroe's autopsy aligns with the signs of self–induced overdosed. Any sort of needle or forced injection would have been spotted by the coroner immediately, "If drugs are injected by a needle you can typically see a needle puncture mark in the location of the injection, and this would be more likely to be visible if they were injected against the will of the person, as they would be fighting/resisting" (Melinek, 2018). Dr. Melinek also points out that it would be quite normal that no residue from the medication would have been found in Monroe's stomach if enough time between her death and her arrival to the morgue had passed, "The absence of residue found in the stomach does not mean the drugs were not ingested. Drugs are designed to dissolve in the fluid and acidic stomach contents and no residue would be detected within several hours of ingestion" (Melinek, 2018). With this expert testimony confirming Marilyn Monroe's autopsy reports as legitimate leaves the official cause of death by possible suicide by overdose as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They were caught for committing fraudulent and illegal activities from 2010 to 2014. This started after Devin was promoted as the Director of Finance and Allison was promoted to Controller as she worked directly under him. However, eleven days after the last transfer, the FBI raided on BISD headquarters and the homes of McCraney and Allison to bring the alleged scheme to an apparent halt. This is because the fraudulent activity was reported by a local news magazine that decided to take interest in why McCraney was upgrading home and cars excessively. The reporter was able to uncover that McCraney purchased his home upgrade in cash. This was estimated to be about $125,000, which was upgraded immediately and expanded within a couple of months. Also, it was reported that he purchased an estimate of $200,000 in cash for new cars alongside his hoe upgrade. These purchases came out from several bank accounts that were from different banks to help pay off his mortgage that cost over 80,000 dollars. This brought up red flags because the annual salary for the Director of Finance was estimated to be 80,000 dollars and he had no other income reported. Thus, this brought suspicion from the Government, which forced him to plead guilty due to fraud of receiving illegal federal funds. As a result, he is facing five years in federal prison. • 77. The Case Of Buffalo For Real The narrative that gets told about a city influences public policies, economic development initiatives, and even civic morale and engagement. For example, in the case of Buffalo, pervasive myths about high property tax rates have influenced the public's perception about the funding of public programs and fed the desire for irresponsible tax cuts. Similarly, stories that fail to acknowledge issues of poverty, inequality, and segregation marginalize certain groups and hinder constructive dialogue on how to fix these issues. Many of the solutions previously proposed to make Buffalo prosper, assumed that the city was in dire straits. In 2010, the poverty rate was 29.6% and the unemployment rate is currently 12.4%. In addition, most of the poverty is concentrated on the west side and the east side. These issues have been compounded by a dwindling population as many choose to avoid the inner–city poverty in favor of living in the surrounding suburbs. With that being said, Buffalo has many underutilized or unrecognized resources. First, Buffalo has access to the Great Lakes. As water scarcity becomes a more pressing issue, the Great Lakes will become an even more valuable resource. Buffalo needs to recognize the value of this resource and stop dumping raw sewage into the water. Second, the city is located near Niagara Falls, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world. The only problem is that Buffalo doesn't have as many attractions to keep tourist in the area for a longer period. Also, its rich past has endowed it with magnificent architecture and historic landmarks. By accentuating these locations, Buffalo could increase its tourism traffic.
