He is the lead inventor on 10+ US & international patents, including fundamental patents covering check-in services and major parts of mobile advertising. Kurt helped to lead Navteq through their IPO and later $8.1 billion acquisition by Nokia in 2007. He is an active mentor at Georgia Tech’s Flashpoint startup accelerator and TiE Atlanta.
