It's finally here! The "Sam Versus Cat™" game we've all been waiting for! The one that no longer looks like it's a relic from the same game engine used to make Jaycraft! The one with better graphics, smoother text, faster response times, and; CUSTOMIZABLE CHARACTERS! That's right, the day is finally upon us where all one has to do is select a transparent png or gif image of the character they want to insert into the game and use it as the fill for either of the two playable character fields on the "Fill" tab of the "Format Shape" dialog box! It couldn't be any simpler! Customizing your "Sam Versus Cat 3.0™" characters will only take about between ten and twenty minutes, if not way less! Plus, thanks to my new coding standards, the game has smarter form preserving AI that will be certain to keep your character models looking awesome! This update also features the series's first ever retaliation attacks, called, "Bleedbacks". Alright. So let's just say that Sam attacks Cat, and now Cat is bleeding. In the old game, Cat would just stand there, crying out in pain until she stopped bleeding. However, in this new release, Cat now has the option to channel the energy within her cries of pain into her rage as she quickly charges up and attacks Sam back in self defense. During Cat's retribution attack, she will instantaneously stop bleeding, and Sam will receive the full blast of an onslaught by Cat, bleeding more than Cat did when she was originally attacked by Sam in the first place. Yes, Sam can perform Bleedbacks too. Another thing you might notice in this update is that the sounds are in higher quality than they were before. That is because I got rid of the game's old audio samples, and replaced them with iKuma SARI 94 2.0 Soundfont riffs that emulate the swinging and punching sounds quite nicely. Fourthly, the game now features an extended, FM radio quality edit of Sam And Cat's original theme song, whose second verse and bridge are now included in the game's title theme, unlike in the last version, where only the first verse and two different versions of the chorus could play. Fifthly, You will notice that the response times for same character attacks have greatly improved. This is because of a new algorithm I have coded into the game that enables one character to perform multiple attacks, each succeeding the prior one only within a certain time limit. If the limit is reached, then the attacker's offensive period is over, and their defensive period begins as their victim now has the chance to perform a bleedback. Yet another improvement is that the title screen text now uses an actual font, so that it is no longer pixelated. And finally, or at least so far as I can remember; the character model for Cat now has the exact same body proportions as Sam, which is what mainly enabled me to create this astounding new entry in the "Sam Versus Cat™" series in the first place. I don't have enough space to include the
