Editor's Notes
[If no introduction, do my own introduction]If you want slides…
Growth can mean I’m growing as an individual, I’m learning new things, I’m being challenged… or I’m advancing or growing in my career. We all have a need to progress, to advance.
The good news is, these things don’t have to cost a lot of money.
Recognition isn’t about the annual bonus check or the plaque at the awards dinner…although those are nice. It’s about the every day things. Recognition means we feel appreciated. It means our ideas are being heard. Our talent and effort is being acknowledged.
It has to be genuineThe more work, the more meaningful. It’s why written cards are so valuable.Align with the behaviors you’re trying to reinforce
Think about how important Trust is any relationship.Trust means both I trust our senior leaders…they’re ethical and honest. But it also means I trust the future…I trust the path and vision the leaders are guiding us towards. I’m confident that the future is bright.
