The Difference Is in the Flat Sheet
AXEON Membranes utilize the leading brand of membrane flat sheet from the industry’s
leading membrane film technology manufacturer, which guarantees performance.

Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Designed to deliver high quality product water at moderately low pressure operation. Low
HF1-Series energy membranes offer solid performance and lower energy consumption when compared
                                            to standard high rejection membranes.

Extra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Designed to operate at less than half the feed pressure of standard high rejection membranes
HF4-Series and at up to 30% less pressure than other low energy membranes, resulting in enhanced
                                            energy savings.

Ultra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Utilizes AXEON’s innovative proprietary technology for high permeate production and
HF5-Series operating pressures as low as 80 psi. Provides additional efficiency when compared to extra
                                            low energy membranes.

High Rejection Reverse Osmosis Designed to provide high salt rejection for tap water and light brackish water applications
HR3-Series while operating at standard 225 psi pressures. High rejection membranes offer better salt
rejection than low energy elements but require more operating energy.

Nanofiltration Designed to provide low operating pressures for nanofiltration applications.
                       NF3-Series

Nanofiltration Designed to provide higher rejection levels and low operating pressures for nanofiltration
                       NF4-Series applications.

Under certain conditions, the presence of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents will cause premature membrane failure. Since oxidation damage is not covered under warranty, the manufacturer
recommends removing residual free chlorine by pretreatment prior to membrane exposure. Wet tested membrane elements must be kept sealed and moist when in storage. Drying out may occur and
damage the membrane permanently. Prevent elements from freezing or being exposed to direct sunlight. Wet tested elements are vacuum sealed in a polyethylene bag containing 1.0% sodium meta-bisulfite
and then packaged in a cardboard box. Discard the permeate for the first twenty-four hours of operation. The permeate flow (product water flow) varies with feed water temperature. For membrane warranty

For membrane warranty
information, please contact the manufacturer.

HF5-Series Membrane Elements
AXEON HF5-Series Membranes are the only elements on the market that operates at a pressure of only 80
psi – which equals more energy savings. AXEON HF5-Series Membranes are available in all standard
4-inch commercial sizes and feature a protective tape wound exterior. AXEON HF5-Series
Membranes are the best choice to counter the negative effects of cold temperatures on reverse
osmosis production. All elements are shipped dry for an indefinite shelf life and easier
handling. AXEON HF5-Series Membrane Elements are 100% vacuum integrity
tested and may also be ordered as individually wet tested.

For membrane warranty
information, please contact the manufacturer.

Membrane elements

  • 1. Membrane Elements and Membrane Housings Engineered Membrane Solutions
  • 2. Membrane Elements AXEON manufactures membranes for industrial, commercial and residential applications. AXEON membranes utilize the industry’s leading membrane film technology and meet the highest production standards. AXEON membranes provide reliable, high-performance results including high rejection and flow rates. AXEON Membranes are available in all standard sizes. All elements are shipped dry for an indefinite shelf life and ease of handling. Benefits of Membranes ■ High rejection rates ■ Superior quality and cost savings ■ Individually vacuum tested ■ High flow capacities ■ Improved system performance ■ Made in the U.S.A. Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Designed to deliver high quality product water at moderately low pressure operation. Low HF1-Series energy membranes offer solid performance and lower energy consumption when compared to standard high rejection membranes. Extra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Designed to operate at less than half the feed pressure of standard high rejection membranes HF4-Series and at up to 30% less pressure than other low energy membranes, resulting in enhanced energy savings. Ultra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Utilizes AXEON’s innovative proprietary technology for high permeate production and HF5-Series operating pressures as low as 80 psi. Provides additional efficiency when compared to extra low energy membranes. High Rejection Reverse Osmosis Designed to provide high salt rejection for tap water and light brackish water applications HR3-Series while operating at standard 225 psi pressures. High rejection membranes offer better salt rejection than low energy elements but require more operating energy. Nanofiltration Designed to provide low operating pressures for nanofiltration applications. NF3-Series Nanofiltration Designed to provide higher rejection levels and low operating pressures for nanofiltration NF4-Series applications.
  • 4. Membrane Housings AXEON Membrane Housings are the preferred choice for many water treatment professionals. Since oxidation damage is not covered under warranty, the manufacturer recommends removing residual free chlorine by pretreatment prior to membrane exposure. Wet tested membrane elements must be kept sealed and moist when in storage. Drying out may occur and damage the membrane permanently. Prevent elements from freezing or being exposed to direct sunlight. Wet tested elements are vacuum sealed in a polyethylene bag containing 1.0% sodium meta-bisulfite and then packaged in a cardboard box. Discard the permeate for the first twenty-four hours of operation. The permeate flow (product water flow) varies with feed water temperature.
