Why Does The A-League Need To Invest In Advertising
The A–League needs to invest in advertising
Football's popularity has increased within the space of 10 years and it is now a dominant force
within our sporting landscape.
We are now regularly seeing crowds of 40K turn up for Melbourne and Sydney derbies and the
increase in mainstream popularity has certainly contributed to this. However, one aspect I believe
the A–League could potentially improve on, is the external advertising of its matches and finals
series.
In comparison to rival codes, the NRL and AFL, there is a significantly lower amount of advertising
in regards to local derbies, A–League matches and the finals series.
Television commercials promoting upcoming NRL and AFL matches are quite common in their
respective markets and there's no denying that crowd attendances for upcoming matches are
contributed to by these ads.
However, I have not seen any television commercials promoting ... Show more content on

The NRL's current 'Let Me Entertain You' campaign has succeeded in gaining extra revenue and
sponsorship for the sport, with the campaign effectively utilised on social media and external
advertising.
Realistically, the A–League should be producing promotional and informative advertising annually.
Every season has a different story to tell. Why not showcase it for the general population?
The Barclays Premier League heavily invest in promoting upcoming matches, local derbies and the
overall code. It earns millions of pounds from advertising and promoting it's brand across several
platforms. While I understand that the A–League definitely isn't at the same level as the Premier
League, I believe more needs to be done to further expand the brand.
We should be seeing television commercials, sponsor billboards and general outdoor advertising in
order to increase the general awareness of our code and continue to create more appeal into the

The History Of Football
The smell of hot dogs, popcorn and pizza linger through the air as the Wolverine's den fills up with
faculty, family, and friends. As the other team runs off the battle field from practicing, the bright
light turns on. It is about to go down, minutes become seconds. No one knows what could happen
out there on the field. Bones could be broken, bodies will be thrown, and heads will be cracked. It
all seems so unreal, yet one knows it is only a couple of minutes away from becoming reality.
During those moments of realization, one hears the ringing sound of the coach's whistle, and the
booming sound of his voice yelling "Let's Go!" Running out from under the den through the tunnel,
hearing the crowd roar while the marching band plays "Go! ... Show more content on

The locker rooms maybe the first thing one may see but it is not the only thing that makes the La
Vergne's stadium a noteworthy place. Secondly, the La Vergne stadium's atmosphere makes the
stadium a remarkable place. Through the eyes of a football player, the atmosphere of the stadium
shifts like the weather throughout the week. Starting with a typical Monday after a long day of
school, collecting a heavy load of homework, the stadium is partly filled with campus life.
Cheerleaders heading down to the track for their weekly run, cross country runners and JROTC
Raiders zooming around the track and stadium, while football players working out in the weight
lifting room. After an hour or so the stadium atmosphere dies down leaving the just the football
players. In addition, not only does the atmosphere of the campus life on Monday changes but the
atmosphere of the locker room changes as well. When walking into the locker room players cannot
help but think of all that went down game night, and try to improve on it, if necessary. On Tuesday
and Wednesday, the atmosphere is filled with anticipation and productivity for Friday night's game.
The air thickens from the sweat and dedication of players practicing on the field. Suddenly, it is
Thursday; the fastest day of the week. The stadium's atmosphere is loaded with suspense. Since it
the last day of practice before game night, the bar

Neona Lupin's The Boy Who Lived
Hysteria and ecstasy were the same thing weren't they? Well, Neona was sure enough... she didn't
feel any fright with the thought of facing a dragon strangely, she was excited more than anything but
the thought of death successfully worried her to her core. Her competition? A Seeker renowned in
the European wizarding world for his talents on a broom, a popular seventh year Hufflepuff and The
Boy Who Lived. Who was Neona Lupin? The unwilling prodigy of a Shifter of which presented her
as a savage lunatic. What was the objective of the task? To retrieve a golden egg guarded by a

about to leave its mouth, and safely extinguished the flame, making the dragon roar in frustration.
Big mistake. Unable to physically move, the Horntail gave an anxious swoop of its wings as if
attempted to catch her out as she dancing around the enclosure, a mask to its naked eyes and the
eyes of the spectators as well. It continued its movements like a possessed creature, roaring in fury
as it hope to knock her to her feet and after long moments of continuing its failing actions, the
dragon gave up with another heartfelt roar of disbelief. Knowing she'd tormented the creature

Argumentative Essay : ' Paralyzed '
Paralyzed
I sit there quietly, watching as every ball goes swiftly through the mesh. The sound of shoes
squeaking against the newly polished floor and every bounce echoing throughout the gymnasium
has now started to become a headache. The blow of a whistle brings everyone to a sudden halt, and
each player turns towards the coach awaiting his next instruction. I was becoming quite
uncomfortable now, as almost half an hour had gone by and sweat was beginning to form by my
hairline. It was a daily routine for me; coming to these practices and watching the coach give his
advice as if I would ever be able to play the sport I once loved again.

Loved. The word stung me like a thousand bees and had felt so foreign on my tongue. I knew I
would never be able to see the pride in my father's eyes, nor the tears of joy that would show how
happy he would have been of me. But most of all, I knew I was no longer able to feel the hardwood
floor when I would push off the ground and hear the swish of the ball going through the net. A sense
of hopelessness had come over me and I knew I could no longer go back to the game, it was
pointless to even try.

I see my father in the bleachers cheering with pride as the crowd roars with excitement. Cold stone
sweat rolls down my face from the scorching dry air. The intense pressure on both teams for the
championship has forced the players to tighten their defense. The screeching sound of the whistle
breaks the tension between the enemy team. The game commences. These last 24 seconds
determines the fate of the final round – the championship is now at stake. I look at the score, and the
odds are in no one's favor, it read "101–99." I stand facing my opponent waiting for my teammate to
throw the ball in, and every player including the opposing team knows what the game plan is. The
shot clock begins and the ball is immediately passed towards me as I drive to the net. With every

Essay On My Best Game
It was the end of February. The day of the District Championship between Southern Boone and Blair
Oaks. This will be the third time playing the Eagles, and the second time on our home floor. They
barely beat us the first time in the Tri–County Conference with a score of sixty–seven to sixty–eight.
They received the ranking of first in Class Three Missouri boys basketball standings after that
defeat. However, the second time we met on our floor, and we took them off their first place
pedestal. We beat them sixty–five to fifty–two. They were now ranked second and we moved up to
eighth. Blair oaks was hosting the class three District Tournament this year. So we knew we might

home jersey cascades over the other down the steps. The uniforms are white, falcons proudly
displayed on the chest while we carry our number on our back. It is a banner of what we stand for
and what we represent. I stand by Justin and Ethan. I listen to Ethan talking about how he doesn't get
nervous for basketball games, and try to dismiss the smell of Justin refusing to put on deodorant
before a game. That is not the only smell drifting through the stairway though. The smell of popcorn
from the crowd is very noticeable. My jersey and warmup shirt carry the distinct smell of maple
syrup from coach washing them the night before, but they always smell of maple syrup before
games. It is such a good smell, but I can not taste the syrup. All I can taste is the aftertaste of my
gatorade mixing with salt from the drops of sweat running down the sides of my face. At the top of

Fresno State Sports Research Paper
The Fresno State Wrestling programming had been dormant for some time, however this past Friday
it came back with one of the largest crowds ever in the programs history. The once popular sport on
campus till its cut back in 2005 until now has found the fan base that quite honestly never left.
Something a lot of individuals in the valley have been waiting for a long time. The wrestling mat
was center stage, the lights were on bright and it was quite the display of the magic, excitement in
terms of all fans waiting in the stands. If the first meet was any to indicate the present and volume in

Again, leading to that "Big Fight" feel of seeing that return could bring that night but as well for the
future of the programming.
The lighting of the event also had an important factor creating that atmosphere overall for the
wrestling, in providing that professional touch to the event. In creating the must–see event of the
evening as I overheard group individuals put it. The contribute factor of not just the light of the
event but the overall production that went into making the event the success that it was great to see.
The event's production had that simplistic look to it, that its nothing to fancy yet something that one
would remember and something from what I took note of the crowd seemed to enjoyed.
The Crowd: Reaction and Fan Engagement In any sporting events it's the crowd that can make or
break an event, needless to say the wrestling community made its voice heard, when needed. The
seemly intense focus of the crowd an on individual matches was something that typically you do see
in a lot of other sports. Its almost a quite type feel that collective everyone understands. Which can
also change with a swift move by the athletes in creating such a loud roar from the crowd in
appreciate. The intense of it all was a constant back and forward from the crowd in showing spirt for
the event something is unique to the sport of wrestling. In continuing on that same motion, the fan

Analysis Of The Shadow Hill's Volleyball Team
The brightly lit court contrasted with the darkness of the huge cavern with its freezer–like biting
cold air which encompassed all areas of the Shadow Hill's gym. Every one who was attending this
event was swept up with anticipation waiting for this match to start. Lost in my thoughts, the shrill
of a single whistle reminded me why I was there. This was one of the most important and
competitive games in the low desert. Shadow Hills High School's volleyball team was scheduled to

A loss for Xavier would put them in jeopardy of losing their first place status in the league. At the
first strike of the ball, Xavier Prep's crowd of energetic students went wild, cheering every time the
ball was successfully kept alive. In contrast, Shadow Hills student section was quiet hoping for their
team to make a point thereby giving them an opportunity to roar in approval. Eventually Shadow
Hills regained their composure and aggressively caught up to Xavier causing the crowds on both
sides to go wild with excitement. The match was impressive with the resounding cheers from
opposite sides of the gym. Both teams could not seem to create a gap in the scores, keeping them no
more than one to two points apart. Xavier had a strong lead at the beginning of the set, Shadow Hills
fought back to close the point gap, but in the end, Xavier overwhelmed Shadow Hill's defense, and
won the game.
From the beginning, I could tell that this second game was going to be completely different from the
last one. The Shadow Hills players had defeat written all over them. The way they carried
themselves, and the way they talked to each other was different. Most players who tried to
encourage others with mini–speeches were saying hollow words, none of which positively affected
the other player's mood. On the other hand, Xavier Prep wasn't worrying about a thing. They were
ready to go back onto the court and win another set. Even the crowd, who

The Importance Of Ford's Theater In American History
The United States is a nation of many monuments, historic places, and structures that represent our
history both good and bad. One place that tends to be overlooked is Ford's Theater in Washington
D.C. It was here that one of the most horrific events in American history had happened, the
assassination of our 16th president. This is why Ford's theater is one of the most interesting places in
American history. On April 14th, 1865, Ford's theater was packed with citizens who were
celebrating the end of the Civil war. President Abraham Lincoln and First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln
were also at the theater celebrating the victory, but the joyous celebration would end quickly. As the
night went on things had turned sour, a notorious 26 year old actor

Texas Aggie Research Paper
Many people struggle with the decision of where they want to go to college and what they would
like to do for the rest of my life. For me, this choice was made easier with this ticket. This ticket was
to a Texas A&M football game, but in a broader sense it was a ticket to much more than just a
football game; it was a ticket to the Aggie experience and what it means to be a Texas Aggie.
Many of the traditions that make Texas A&M unique find their origins in Texas Aggie football.
Standing with the student body as part of the 12th Man helped me to understand the traditions and
commitment of the original 12th man as he stood on the sidelines. It is this sense of loyalty to the
12th Man that makes every Aggie fan proud when they hear the roar of the crowd. Aggies say that
they have seen their team win and lose, but none have ever seen them quit. This is the same when it
comes to the Texas Aggies, and part of what makes Texas A&M so special.
My ticket to the Aggie experience actually started the night before the football game at Midnight
Yell. With the thousands gathered in Kyle Field at midnight, the Yell Leaders walk in a line from

How Important Was The Role Of Lafayette In Leaving Home
On the 15th July Lafayette was appointed leader of the National Guard, which was an armed guard
with the role of protecting Paris from foreign threats along with maintaining order in the city. It was
from this position that Lafayette came to notice in the revolution as he now was in a position on

Peer Pressure In George Orwell's Shooting An Elephant
Peer pressure's grasp reaches everybody daily. Too often people tend follow the crowd's decision
instead of maintaining their own morals. The guilt felt after conceding to a crowd's way of thinking
can crush a person. In a small Burmese town, a police officer feels pressure in a defining showdown
with an elephant. George Orwell reveals the consequences of caving into peer pressure through
imagery found in "Shooting an Elephant."
The protagonist repeats over and over he does not want to shoot this elephant. The officer shows his
tender emotions towards elephants and depicts early on the "grandmotherly air" they possess.
Orwell conveys many times his unwillingness to shoot the elephant, and at one point he says the gun
he grabs to shoot it "was much too small to kill an elephant." Subconsciously, he did not want this
elephant to die, so he grabs this small rifle just to stop the fear in the crowd. After it suffers for a
while, Orwell's sheds a light on his inner conflict with shooting the animal. His incapability of
comprehending his actions devastate him and he, "could not stand it any longer and went away." ...

He describes the day of the shooting as , "the only time in my life that I have been important enough
for this to happen to me". The pressure felt by the British police officer from the inexorable crowd
"growing every minute" leads to his fatal shooting of the helpless elephant. He allays the idea of
massacring this animal. As Orwell loads up the elephant rifle and aims it at the beast, the crowd
"grew very still, and a deep, low happy sigh... breathed from innumerable throats." The pull of the
rifle's trigger satisfies the crowd, and keeps him from the ignonimous judgement from the crowd.

Jaguar Commercial Analysis
April 6th, 2014
Media/Commercial Analysis
Marketing is defined as the activities of a company associated with buying and selling a product or
service, which includes advertising, selling and delivering products to people. People who work in
marketing departments of companies try to get the attention of target audiences by using slogans,
packaging design, celebrity endorsements and general media exposure. One of the most mainstream
tactics to market a product to a potential target market is by using TV commercials. The elements of
TV commercials, including audio and visual aspects, as well as lighting, camera angles and

The audio of the commercial also helps reinforce the message Jaguar is trying to send to potential
customers. When the narrator states "Some don't know that Jaguar is one of the fastest growing
luxury automotive brands", he's basically stating a fact to the consumers that our products are
working and appealing to many in the market for a luxury car. When the narrator goes on to say
"But they certainly do." They being the
German car companies, the narrator is implying that Mercedes–Benz, Audi, and BMW are aware
that Jaguar is on the rise and, based on the visual aspects of the ad, they are afraid of Jaguar. The
background music in the ad gives a sense of a suspenseful and dramtic ad. The music starts off slow
and calm, but deep and dark, sort of mysterious.
When the XFR meets the Benz, BMW, and Audi, the music starts to take a turn for a more dramatic
yet still suspenseful, the music builds more anticipation until the climax when the XFR "roars" and
scares the other cars away. Speaking of the "roar", the engine
"roars" to give the Jaguar an extremely aggresive presence, more aggresive than the other 3 cars.
This is to make the XFR seem more exclusive and special than its more traditional rivals. Jaguar has
a lot of work to do if they want to take over the reigns from the likes of Mercedes, Audi, and BMW,
but the advertising campaign shows that they are ready to take on that

Casey At The Bat Figurative Language
"Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic Sung in 1888" is a dramatic narrative poem by Ernest
Lawrence Thayer. "Casey at the Bat" is a ballad of thirteen stanzas documenting a baseball game
between an unnamed opponent and Mudville. The game is coming to an end and Mudville is losing
four to two and the upcoming hitters are especially bad. By a miracle the batters reach base and
bring the best player to bat. The win is just out of reach when Casey strikes out and loses them the
game. Thayer uses figurative language, characterization, and choice of speaker to show the theme of
men and masculinity. By giving Casey all the qualities of a super masculine sports hero, and then
having him fail, Thayer makes us question whether or not those traits truly lead to success. ... Show

both give the crowd a violent feel with the use of symbolism. The crowds should be full of hope and
optimism when Casey comes to bat however they give a sense of doom and gloom with Thayer's
choice of diction. He uses words like "rumbled," "knocked," "recoiled," and "rattled." It is almost

The Swarm Examples
A question that continually appears throughout this book is; what/who is the Swarm? Possible
explanations to the Swarm is that the Swarm is a cluster of mechanically engineered robots that are
able to take the form of anything the owner chooses. Some examples to this robot theory is that;
Flicker, a blind girl that is able to see through the eyes of any living thing, was unable to cast her
vision into the eyes of what was charging at the group. This states that the Swarm is not a human or
an animal of any kind. Secondly, Crash, the groups only resident that controls technology, was
having a meltdown as the Swarm passed her. That only happens when an abundant amount of
technology is involved. Lastly, Kelsie felt the high energy that ran through

mood within the characters. Charles Darnay starts telling a story about a paper he found. After
telling the story, Dr. Manette begins to feel ill. Following this is a section which contains multiple
literary elements. In Chapter Six, Dickens utilizes descriptive literary devices, such as imagery,
personification, and anaphora, to foretell the French Revolution and set the mood of the passage.
The use of suspenseful imagery allows for a descriptive foreshadow of the French Revolution. At
the end of the chapter, Dickens compares people to the storm by showing "a crowd of people with
its rush and roar, bearing down upon them too" (109). The Third Estate is depicted as rowdy and
very thundering by means of their rush and roar. If the people linger to this extent for a Revolution,
this rowdiness can cause a massive war. Soon enough there was "a great hurry in the streets, people
speeding away to get shelter before the storm broke" (107). The storm, being synonymous with the
Revolution, will cause a great hurry to the Third Estate due to their unpreparedness. Civilians,
speeding away, try to get to shelter before the revolution starts to become too brutal. In the night a

The Day Of Love And Romance
It all came down to thirty–two final minutes, a culmination of tedious hours, days, weeks, and
months to prepare for thirty–two more sixties. My journey during those months was something
incredible; that voyage resulted in the most significant learning experience I have encountered.
February 14th, 2015, the day of love and romance, yet my day was marked with anger, pain, and
grief. Destiny Christian's third consecutive state championship basketball game against Providence
Academy in my high school tenure dominated most of my thoughts and time that day, consequently
not new to the stage, the environment, or the atmosphere, but oh what a novice I was to the
newfound pressure that lay on my weak, narrow shoulders. My first game leading the charge and not
humbly bowing down to the heavy barrage of upperclassmen. Nevertheless, my duty was not
fulfilled as we lost and I felt as I let down friends, families, and a whole school full of top notch
individuals. Typically, a state championship tournament includes teams from that respective state
only, but my athletic association deemed a tad unique in that aspect. Providence Academy, based out
of Rogers, Arkansas, recruits players from overseas to improve their teams, the only team in the
athletic association that does this. These methods enabled them to have a 6'9" Nigerian center, a 6'5"
Lithuanian point guard, and a 6'4" German small forward, a combo that towered over and bullied
almost everyone they played, including my team. Our

He highly doubted that Green would ever ask him anything out of concern, maybe he was
questioning whether he was in any state to continue their battle? THAT made more sense than

Some things on this earth are just magical. To some it may be the beach at sunset, to others it may be
as simple as the drive to work in the morning. For me that place is Fenway Park in Boston

What Is The Central Idea Of Shooting An Elephant By George...
In "Shooting an Elephant" George Orwell struggles with his conscience by having second thoughts
on the actions he takes. "Being a sub–divisional police officer of the town" (2–3) Orwell struggles
with feeling "anti–European", being "all for the Burmese and all against their oppressors, the
British." (15–16). And of course the shooting of the Elephant that he is not in favor of. "In a job that
you see the dirty work of Empire at close quarters" (17–18) He felt a "sense of guilt" (20) and hatred
for his job. Moreover, Orwell talks about how the "Burman tripped him up on the football field and
the crowd yelled with laughter" (6–7). But yet he is still "all for the Burmese" (15–16). At last The
shooting of the Elephant was something Orwell didn't

Shooting An Elephant Response
The story "Shooting an Elephant" is told by an ongoing and first person narrator, who was
committed to events he was faced with and obtained insight and wisdom from these adventures even
though he struggled internally and externally. Throughout the process of shooting the elephant,
Orwell's attitude drastically changes as he pulls the trigger and the massive beast plunges to the
ground. Orwell says "When I pulled the trigger I did not hear the bang or feel the kick–one never
does when a shot goes home" (Orwell 11). This mindset tells the reader, as Orwell went to pull the
trigger his mind went blank because he knew he was going to be successful at killing the elephant
even though that was the last thing he wanted to do. Then the devilish roar of the elephant with glee
of the crowd brought him back to real time and shows, how the cruelty brought happiness to the
crowd. After the bullets hit the elephant, the tortured breathing continued to slowly annoy Orwell, as
he reminded himself of why he did it. Orwell thinks that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He finds the elephant to be more important than the people because he finds a similarity with the
elephant. He is very similar to the elephant because the narrator is compelled to do a job that he
hates on impulse, and he watches death and causes a lot of agony in the Burmese people's live. This
is related to how the elephant went on rage and tried to wipe out any of the Burmese people who got
in its path. He uses the phrase "All I knew was that I was stuck between my hatred of the empire I
served and my rage against the evil–spirted little beast who tried to make my job impossible"
(Orwell 2). As Orwell finds the value of the elephant, he finds no value in the people; the elephant
and him share the interest that they are hard workers and cannot handle what they have to do in

Descriptive Essay: Jones At The Football Field
If I stand on the corner of 19th and University looking towards Jones AT&T Stadium, on a Saturday

grow larger and larger. I look around and I can see the thousands of students and families flooding

a day full of exciting pre–game fun, a wild kickoff tradition, and a stadium filled with the Saddle
Tramps, energetic students, and families. As I look out onto the field I can feel the energy building. I
see the bright green that is the football field and I can smell the freshly popped popcorn coming

The Perfect Gift: Twenty One Pilots Concert

The Perfect Gift
A present doesn't have to be big and extravagant. My ideal present would be something small,

life, so listening to them preforming the songs live with so much emotion is something that will

There isn't much you can do with concert tickets besides give them to the person who is taking the
tickets before the show, but I will cherish this gift for the rest of my life. That is what I will do with
my gift. It is such an amazing thing to go and see your favorite band live. I will keep the ticket from
the concert and put it with the rest of my favorite movie tickets and theatrical shows that I have
seen. I will watch the videos of the concert over and over again wanting to go back to that night.
This paper has included a description of the concert, why my gift is important to me and what I will

Mobs In A Tale Of Two Cities
A Tale of Two Cities truly was "...the best of times," and "...the worst of times,..." (Dickens 7). The
worst of times was especially portrayed through the mobs in France. In A Tale of Two Cities,
Dickens writes about mobs and how the peasants and even the aristocrats act while in a mob. The
motif of mobs reveals the theme of how easily people are influenced by others around them such as
Roger Cly's 'funeral', the storming of the Bastille, and when the peasants were trying to find Old
Foulon. Mobs are seen throughout the book, but a huge mob occurred during Roger Cly's faked
funeral. Roger Cly was a spy, and during the French Revolution the peasants strongly disliked spies
because they could not be trusted. The people of St. Antoine did not know that Cly's funeral was
being faked. They all gathered in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

chanting that they wanted to kill the rest of the spies. There were so many people on the street that
even the horse drawn carriages could not move and had to stop. Even if the people did not know
who Cly was, they wanted him and the other spies dead. Not only were the people stopping the
carriages and horses from moving, but they were acting as though they were beasts or wild animals.

Personal Narrative: A Whole New Culture
In 2008, I was given an opportunity to learn about a whole new culture. My family had recently

approaching. My uncle decided that it would be a great idea for our whole family to go see the
parade to get settled in America. My family and I were greatly thrilled and accepted the offer
without hesitation.
The parade starting time was around 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. We had arrived early to tour the Downtown
of Minden, Louisiana. Seeing all the historical buildings made me realize that this was a very
remarkable place for the parade. As we walked around the streets, we saw many kinds of foods: hot

are numerous parades throughout Louisiana. Mardi Gras goes on for two weeks!" This surely made
me smile and realize how enjoyable the parade had been.
During the night after the parade, I had several dreams about various things such as: color beads to

Why Does The A-League Need To Invest In Advertising

  • 1. Why Does The A-League Need To Invest In Advertising The A–League needs to invest in advertising Football's popularity has increased within the space of 10 years and it is now a dominant force within our sporting landscape. We are now regularly seeing crowds of 40K turn up for Melbourne and Sydney derbies and the increase in mainstream popularity has certainly contributed to this. However, one aspect I believe the A–League could potentially improve on, is the external advertising of its matches and finals series. In comparison to rival codes, the NRL and AFL, there is a significantly lower amount of advertising in regards to local derbies, A–League matches and the finals series. Television commercials promoting upcoming NRL and AFL matches are quite common in their respective markets and there's no denying that crowd attendances for upcoming matches are contributed to by these ads. However, I have not seen any television commercials promoting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The NRL's current 'Let Me Entertain You' campaign has succeeded in gaining extra revenue and sponsorship for the sport, with the campaign effectively utilised on social media and external advertising. Realistically, the A–League should be producing promotional and informative advertising annually. Every season has a different story to tell. Why not showcase it for the general population? The Barclays Premier League heavily invest in promoting upcoming matches, local derbies and the overall code. It earns millions of pounds from advertising and promoting it's brand across several platforms. While I understand that the A–League definitely isn't at the same level as the Premier League, I believe more needs to be done to further expand the brand. We should be seeing television commercials, sponsor billboards and general outdoor advertising in order to increase the general awareness of our code and continue to create more appeal into the ... • 3. The History Of Football The smell of hot dogs, popcorn and pizza linger through the air as the Wolverine's den fills up with faculty, family, and friends. As the other team runs off the battle field from practicing, the bright light turns on. It is about to go down, minutes become seconds. No one knows what could happen out there on the field. Bones could be broken, bodies will be thrown, and heads will be cracked. It all seems so unreal, yet one knows it is only a couple of minutes away from becoming reality. During those moments of realization, one hears the ringing sound of the coach's whistle, and the booming sound of his voice yelling "Let's Go!" Running out from under the den through the tunnel, hearing the crowd roar while the marching band plays "Go! ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The locker rooms maybe the first thing one may see but it is not the only thing that makes the La Vergne's stadium a noteworthy place. Secondly, the La Vergne stadium's atmosphere makes the stadium a remarkable place. Through the eyes of a football player, the atmosphere of the stadium shifts like the weather throughout the week. Starting with a typical Monday after a long day of school, collecting a heavy load of homework, the stadium is partly filled with campus life. Cheerleaders heading down to the track for their weekly run, cross country runners and JROTC Raiders zooming around the track and stadium, while football players working out in the weight lifting room. After an hour or so the stadium atmosphere dies down leaving the just the football players. In addition, not only does the atmosphere of the campus life on Monday changes but the atmosphere of the locker room changes as well. When walking into the locker room players cannot help but think of all that went down game night, and try to improve on it, if necessary. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the atmosphere is filled with anticipation and productivity for Friday night's game. The air thickens from the sweat and dedication of players practicing on the field. Suddenly, it is Thursday; the fastest day of the week. The stadium's atmosphere is loaded with suspense. Since it the last day of practice before game night, the bar ... Well, Neona was sure enough... she didn't feel any fright with the thought of facing a dragon strangely, she was excited more than anything but the thought of death successfully worried her to her core. Her competition? A Seeker renowned in the European wizarding world for his talents on a broom, a popular seventh year Hufflepuff and The Boy Who Lived. Who was Neona Lupin? The unwilling prodigy of a Shifter of which presented her as a savage lunatic. What was the objective of the task? To retrieve a golden egg guarded by a Hungarian Horntail with the chances of success being extremely slim. A beam of ice shot from the tip of her wand and connected with the jet a fire just about to leave its mouth, and safely extinguished the flame, making the dragon roar in frustration. Big mistake. Unable to physically move, the Horntail gave an anxious swoop of its wings as if attempted to catch her out as she dancing around the enclosure, a mask to its naked eyes and the eyes of the spectators as well. It continued its movements like a possessed creature, roaring in fury as it hope to knock her to her feet and after long moments of continuing its failing actions, the dragon gave up with another heartfelt roar of disbelief. Knowing she'd tormented the creature enough, Neona waved her wand again and knew she'd reappeared when the gasp of the crowd met her ears once again. • 7. Argumentative Essay : ' Paralyzed ' Paralyzed I sit there quietly, watching as every ball goes swiftly through the mesh. The sound of shoes squeaking against the newly polished floor and every bounce echoing throughout the gymnasium has now started to become a headache. The blow of a whistle brings everyone to a sudden halt, and each player turns towards the coach awaiting his next instruction. I was becoming quite uncomfortable now, as almost half an hour had gone by and sweat was beginning to form by my hairline. It was a daily routine for me; coming to these practices and watching the coach give his advice as if I would ever be able to play the sport I once loved again. It has been almost a year now since it happened. Being there at the wrong time and at the wrong place ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Loved. The word stung me like a thousand bees and had felt so foreign on my tongue. I knew I would never be able to see the pride in my father's eyes, nor the tears of joy that would show how happy he would have been of me. But most of all, I knew I was no longer able to feel the hardwood floor when I would push off the ground and hear the swish of the ball going through the net. A sense of hopelessness had come over me and I knew I could no longer go back to the game, it was pointless to even try. *** I see my father in the bleachers cheering with pride as the crowd roars with excitement. Cold stone sweat rolls down my face from the scorching dry air. The intense pressure on both teams for the championship has forced the players to tighten their defense. The screeching sound of the whistle breaks the tension between the enemy team. The game commences. These last 24 seconds determines the fate of the final round – the championship is now at stake. I look at the score, and the odds are in no one's favor, it read "101–99." I stand facing my opponent waiting for my teammate to throw the ball in, and every player including the opposing team knows what the game plan is. The shot clock begins and the ball is immediately passed towards me as I drive to the net. With every bounce and step I take, the adrenaline surges through my veins, pushing me to my limit. • 9. Essay On My Best Game It was the end of February. The day of the District Championship between Southern Boone and Blair Oaks. This will be the third time playing the Eagles, and the second time on our home floor. They barely beat us the first time in the Tri–County Conference with a score of sixty–seven to sixty–eight. They received the ranking of first in Class Three Missouri boys basketball standings after that defeat. However, the second time we met on our floor, and we took them off their first place pedestal. We beat them sixty–five to fifty–two. They were now ranked second and we moved up to eighth. Blair oaks was hosting the class three District Tournament this year. I stand on the first step of the second flight. In the middle of the white flood of players that flowed over the steps, each white home jersey cascades over the other down the steps. The uniforms are white, falcons proudly displayed on the chest while we carry our number on our back. It is a banner of what we stand for and what we represent. I stand by Justin and Ethan. I listen to Ethan talking about how he doesn't get nervous for basketball games, and try to dismiss the smell of Justin refusing to put on deodorant before a game. That is not the only smell drifting through the stairway though. The smell of popcorn from the crowd is very noticeable. My jersey and warmup shirt carry the distinct smell of maple syrup from coach washing them the night before, but they always smell of maple syrup before games. It is such a good smell, but I can not taste the syrup. All I can taste is the aftertaste of my gatorade mixing with salt from the drops of sweat running down the sides of my face. • 11. Fresno State Sports Research Paper The Fresno State Wrestling programming had been dormant for some time, however this past Friday it came back with one of the largest crowds ever in the programs history. The once popular sport on campus till its cut back in 2005 until now has found the fan base that quite honestly never left. Something a lot of individuals in the valley have been waiting for a long time. The wrestling mat was center stage, the lights were on bright and it was quite the display of the magic, excitement in terms of all fans waiting in the stands. If the first meet was any to indicate the present and volume in which the Central Valley wrestling community has been looking for in the past decade plus in its return its safe to say its met all the exceptions. ... The lighting of the event also had an important factor creating that atmosphere overall for the wrestling, in providing that professional touch to the event. In creating the must–see event of the evening as I overheard group individuals put it. The contribute factor of not just the light of the event but the overall production that went into making the event the success that it was great to see. The event's production had that simplistic look to it, that its nothing to fancy yet something that one would remember and something from what I took note of the crowd seemed to enjoyed. The Crowd: Reaction and Fan Engagement In any sporting events it's the crowd that can make or break an event, needless to say the wrestling community made its voice heard, when needed. The seemly intense focus of the crowd an on individual matches was something that typically you do see in a lot of other sports. Its almost a quite type feel that collective everyone understands. Which can also change with a swift move by the athletes in creating such a loud roar from the crowd in appreciate. The intense of it all was a constant back and forward from the crowd in showing spirt for the event something is unique to the sport of wrestling. In continuing on that same motion, the fan ... Analysis Of The Shadow Hill's Volleyball Team The brightly lit court contrasted with the darkness of the huge cavern with its freezer–like biting cold air which encompassed all areas of the Shadow Hill's gym. Every one who was attending this event was swept up with anticipation waiting for this match to start. Lost in my thoughts, the shrill of a single whistle reminded me why I was there. This was one of the most important and competitive games in the low desert. Shadow Hills High School's volleyball team was scheduled to play Xavier College Prep's volleyball team tonight. A loss for Xavier would put them in jeopardy of losing their first place status in the league. At the first strike of the ball, Xavier Prep's crowd of energetic students went wild, cheering every time the ball was successfully kept alive. In contrast, Shadow Hills student section was quiet hoping for their team to make a point thereby giving them an opportunity to roar in approval. Eventually Shadow Hills regained their composure and aggressively caught up to Xavier causing the crowds on both sides to go wild with excitement. The match was impressive with the resounding cheers from opposite sides of the gym. Both teams could not seem to create a gap in the scores, keeping them no more than one to two points apart. Xavier had a strong lead at the beginning of the set, Shadow Hills fought back to close the point gap, but in the end, Xavier overwhelmed Shadow Hill's defense, and won the game. From the beginning, I could tell that this second game was going to be completely different from the last one. The Shadow Hills players had defeat written all over them. The way they carried themselves, and the way they talked to each other was different. Most players who tried to encourage others with mini–speeches were saying hollow words, none of which positively affected the other player's mood. On the other hand, Xavier Prep wasn't worrying about a thing. They were ready to go back onto the court and win another set. Even the crowd, who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One place that tends to be overlooked is Ford's Theater in Washington D.C. It was here that one of the most horrific events in American history had happened, the assassination of our 16th president. This is why Ford's theater is one of the most interesting places in American history. On April 14th, 1865, Ford's theater was packed with citizens who were celebrating the end of the Civil war. President Abraham Lincoln and First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln were also at the theater celebrating the victory, but the joyous celebration would end quickly. The field has a fresh mowed look, and the screens are bright as the North Star. As the lady starts to sing the National Anthem, the crowd falls do a dead silent, placing their hands on their chest and mouthing the words along with her. • 21. How To Write A Narrative Essay About Football Football Friday night arrives. Slowly, I slide my jersey on over my shoulder pads. The realization fortifies itself. Who am I? Where am I? Any and all possibilities replay themselves over and over like a broken record in my head. Standing as still as a portrait, my hands shake like maracas in a mariachi band. • 27. Texas Aggie Research Paper Many people struggle with the decision of where they want to go to college and what they would like to do for the rest of my life. For me, this choice was made easier with this ticket. This ticket was to a Texas A&M football game, but in a broader sense it was a ticket to much more than just a football game; it was a ticket to the Aggie experience and what it means to be a Texas Aggie. Many of the traditions that make Texas A&M unique find their origins in Texas Aggie football. Standing with the student body as part of the 12th Man helped me to understand the traditions and commitment of the original 12th man as he stood on the sidelines. It is this sense of loyalty to the 12th Man that makes every Aggie fan proud when they hear the roar of the crowd. Aggies say that they have seen their team win and lose, but none have ever seen them quit. This is the same when it comes to the Texas Aggies, and part of what makes Texas A&M so special. My ticket to the Aggie experience actually started the night before the football game at Midnight Yell. • 31. Peer Pressure In George Orwell's Shooting An Elephant Peer pressure's grasp reaches everybody daily. Too often people tend follow the crowd's decision instead of maintaining their own morals. The guilt felt after conceding to a crowd's way of thinking can crush a person. In a small Burmese town, a police officer feels pressure in a defining showdown with an elephant. George Orwell reveals the consequences of caving into peer pressure through imagery found in "Shooting an Elephant." The protagonist repeats over and over he does not want to shoot this elephant. The officer shows his tender emotions towards elephants and depicts early on the "grandmotherly air" they possess. Orwell conveys many times his unwillingness to shoot the elephant, and at one point he says the gun he grabs to shoot it "was much too small to kill an elephant." Subconsciously, he did not want this elephant to die, so he grabs this small rifle just to stop the fear in the crowd. After it suffers for a while, Orwell's sheds a light on his inner conflict with shooting the animal. As Orwell loads up the elephant rifle and aims it at the beast, the crowd "grew very still, and a deep, low happy sigh... breathed from innumerable throats." Jaguar Commercial Analysis April 6th, 2014 Media/Commercial Analysis Marketing is defined as the activities of a company associated with buying and selling a product or service, which includes advertising, selling and delivering products to people. People who work in marketing departments of companies try to get the attention of target audiences by using slogans, packaging design, celebrity endorsements and general media exposure. When the narrator goes on to say "But they certainly do." They being the German car companies, the narrator is implying that Mercedes–Benz, Audi, and BMW are aware that Jaguar is on the rise and, based on the visual aspects of the ad, they are afraid of Jaguar. The background music in the ad gives a sense of a suspenseful and dramtic ad. The music starts off slow and calm, but deep and dark, sort of mysterious. When the XFR meets the Benz, BMW, and Audi, the music starts to take a turn for a more dramatic yet still suspenseful, the music builds more anticipation until the climax when the XFR "roars" and scares the other cars away. Speaking of the "roar", the engine "roars" to give the Jaguar an extremely aggresive presence, more aggresive than the other 3 cars. This is to make the XFR seem more exclusive and special than its more traditional rivals. • 35. Casey At The Bat Figurative Language "Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic Sung in 1888" is a dramatic narrative poem by Ernest Lawrence Thayer. "Casey at the Bat" is a ballad of thirteen stanzas documenting a baseball game between an unnamed opponent and Mudville. The game is coming to an end and Mudville is losing four to two and the upcoming hitters are especially bad. By a miracle the batters reach base and bring the best player to bat. The win is just out of reach when Casey strikes out and loses them the game. Thayer uses figurative language, characterization, and choice of speaker to show the theme of men and masculinity. By giving Casey all the qualities of a super masculine sports hero, and then having him fail, Thayer makes us question whether or not those traits truly lead to success. ... • 41. The Significance of the Storm in A Tale of Two Cities by... A Tale of Two Cities, a book written by Charles Dickens in 1859, describes the situation of France and the French Revolution. At the end of Chapter Six, Dr. Manette, Lucie Manette, Charles Darnay, Sydney Carton, and Miss Pross are at a Tea Party. A turbulent storm occurs and incites an eerie mood within the characters. Charles Darnay starts telling a story about a paper he found. After telling the story, Dr. Manette begins to feel ill. Following this is a section which contains multiple literary elements. In Chapter Six, Dickens utilizes descriptive literary devices, such as imagery, personification, and anaphora, to foretell the French Revolution and set the mood of the passage. The use of suspenseful imagery allows for a descriptive foreshadow of the French Revolution. At the end of the chapter, Dickens compares people to the storm by showing "a crowd of people with its rush and roar, bearing down upon them too" (109). The Third Estate is depicted as rowdy and very thundering by means of their rush and roar. If the people linger to this extent for a Revolution, this rowdiness can cause a massive war. Soon enough there was "a great hurry in the streets, people speeding away to get shelter before the storm broke" (107). The storm, being synonymous with the Revolution, will cause a great hurry to the Third Estate due to their unpreparedness. Civilians, speeding away, try to get to shelter before the revolution starts to become too brutal. In the night a "storm of thunder ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. The Day Of Love And Romance It all came down to thirty–two final minutes, a culmination of tedious hours, days, weeks, and months to prepare for thirty–two more sixties. My journey during those months was something incredible; that voyage resulted in the most significant learning experience I have encountered. February 14th, 2015, the day of love and romance, yet my day was marked with anger, pain, and grief. Destiny Christian's third consecutive state championship basketball game against Providence Academy in my high school tenure dominated most of my thoughts and time that day, consequently not new to the stage, the environment, or the atmosphere, but oh what a novice I was to the newfound pressure that lay on my weak, narrow shoulders. My first game leading the charge and not humbly bowing down to the heavy barrage of upperclassmen. Nevertheless, my duty was not fulfilled as we lost and I felt as I let down friends, families, and a whole school full of top notch individuals. Typically, a state championship tournament includes teams from that respective state only, but my athletic association deemed a tad unique in that aspect. Providence Academy, based out of Rogers, Arkansas, recruits players from overseas to improve their teams, the only team in the athletic association that does this. These methods enabled them to have a 6'9" Nigerian center, a 6'5" Lithuanian point guard, and a 6'4" German small forward, a combo that towered over and bullied almost everyone they played, including my team. • 57. Shooting An Elephant Response The story "Shooting an Elephant" is told by an ongoing and first person narrator, who was committed to events he was faced with and obtained insight and wisdom from these adventures even though he struggled internally and externally. Throughout the process of shooting the elephant, Orwell's attitude drastically changes as he pulls the trigger and the massive beast plunges to the ground. Orwell says "When I pulled the trigger I did not hear the bang or feel the kick–one never does when a shot goes home" (Orwell 11). This mindset tells the reader, as Orwell went to pull the trigger his mind went blank because he knew he was going to be successful at killing the elephant even though that was the last thing he wanted to do. The worst of times was especially portrayed through the mobs in France. In A Tale of Two Cities, Dickens writes about mobs and how the peasants and even the aristocrats act while in a mob. My family had recently moved from India, and we were new to the American concepts. The Mardi Gras Parade was approaching. My uncle decided that it would be a great idea for our whole family to go see the parade to get settled in America. My family and I were greatly thrilled and accepted the offer without hesitation. The parade starting time was around 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. We had arrived early to tour the Downtown of Minden, Louisiana. Seeing all the historical buildings made me realize that this was a very remarkable place for the parade. As we walked around the streets, we saw many kinds of foods: hot dogs, Cajun fries, and funnel cakes. This was my first perception of these new types of food, so I eagerly asked my uncle to buy some. My uncle patted me on the back and said, "Good job Jay!" As the parade went on, I managed to catch even more beads that ranged from many different sizes and colors. The end of the parade neared, and I was greatly saddened. The time had passed so quickly since I was greatly enjoying myself. My uncle noticed my disappointed look at said "Don't worry Jay, there are numerous parades throughout Louisiana. Mardi Gras goes on for two weeks!" This surely made me smile and realize how enjoyable the parade had been. During the night after the parade, I had several dreams about various things such as: color beads to glimmering lights to marching floats. It was as if I was reliving my Mardi Gras's experience yet again. After waking up from a very entertaining session of dreams, I heard from my sister that I was speaking in my sleep. Although, I found this part unbelievable and greatly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 69. Essay-Personal Narrative Have you ever felt so nervous in your life that your mind ached with anxiety. It was the final race in my seventh grade track season, but little did I know my anxiety became the least of my worries. The loud roars from the crowd raced through the stadium like a thousand lions chasing a herd of gazelle through the thin metal bleachers. The loud bang of a gunshot into the air was like a twelve gauge firing at a flock of ducks taking off into the air. I took off at the speed of a bullet speeding through the air on that charcoal black track in that 400 meter dash. I blew a steady pace throughout the race. I was neck and neck with Isaiah and the fastest kid from the Des Moines boys track team. As we were halfway around the track, I was breathing heavily. Hearing the crowd cheering, I felt as though I lifted the whole crowd on my shoulders. Later on, I was jogging. Saving my energy to zoom ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before I started up again, I thought to myself "Just keep swimming" as Dory said in the movies Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. Hearing the loud screams from the crowd made me hop to my feet and continued on with the rest of the race. I started half jogging, half limping, across the track, by the time I finished everyone has finished except me. The crowd was packing up as after Isaiah finished. As the meet ended I started walking with Isaiah to the rest of the team, I was stopped by Coach as he said to me "That was one hell of a stunt you pulled out there, but the most important part is you finished the race and believed in yourself to finish the race." I was in shock from what he said. I was voiceless. I had no clue on what to say. A few hours later we arrived back in Ames and we went out to eat at this restaurant called Hickory Park. The thought of food made my mouth water. The smell of greasy pizza going down my throat and the smell of creamy Mac and Cheese made my stomach growl for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The bright array of festive garlands strung high above the streets waved merrily in the gentle breeze although not a soul walked beneath them to enjoy the sight. It seemed that everyone within the vicinity of Dale had squeezed themselves into the stands erected beyond the city gates to watch the much–anticipated tournament. Bard stepped out into the arena, his longbow in hand, and the crowd let up a great roar of approval through which it was still possible to discern the voices of each of his children. Bain had taken his leave to take his turn at the tournament, leaving Tilda on her left and an empty seat on the other. She should have known that it would not remain empty for long. "Princess Sigrid, may I have this seat?" Sigrid looked up to see that Roland, the son of the new Master of Laketown, had worked his way along the bench to where they sat. Sigrid inclined her head in polite ascent and Roland took the seat beside her, taking her hand as he did and pressing his lips to it. He gave neither greeting nor acknowledgement to Tilda. "It seems unfair that the Men should have to compete against the Elves when they have had centuries more years of experience." Roland said, indicating the line–up.
