The Mammoth Task Of Completing Any Serious Evaluative...
The mammoth task of completing any serious evaluative process requires teamwork, determination,
and a sense of urgency. The hours of analyzing, reading, studying documents, collaborating, and
meetings can drain the most ardent staff. In the case of DSU's 2013 Year One Evaluation, a 28–
person committee, two peer evaluators, the President, and clerical staff labored many hours to
complete the necessary reports. The comprehensive evaluation involved many more persons.
Notable Similarities between the Two Evaluations The Comprehensive Evaluation of 2012 and the
Year One Evaluation of 2013 bore many similarities. For one, the same ALO and ISAAC conducted
both evaluations. The ISAAC is appointed and serves for a two–year period and, thus, was the same
group in 2013 as it was in 2013. In fact, Bryant and Brown still serve as 2015–2016 co–chairs
("ISAAC Membership," 2015, p. 1). The ALO serves an indeterminate length and, as of November
2015, was still Debra Bryant. The tone of both evaluations and their attendant reports are
overwhelmingly positive and one is left with a positive view of DSU from them. One of the reasons
that 2013 offers such a bright outlook is the fact that the administration, staff, faculty, and students
of the university made a determined effort to address the concerns of the 2012 committee. This
course of action meant that the 2013 report reflected a considerable effort on the stakeholders' part
to ensure that the university received a positive

Analysis Of The Lincoln Electric Company
Analysis of the Lincoln Electric Company
Upon review of the Lincoln Electric Company case study conducted by Arthur Sharpish of Harvard
University, I came to find that the culture within the company is what elevated Lincoln Electric
above all other companies in that field. When analyzing the report I considered many aspects of the
company in order to determine what exactly that separates Lincoln from their competition.
First, I examined the ongoing influence that has been exerted by the founders of the company.
Lincoln Electric was founded by James F. Lincoln at the turn of the 20th century. His influence in
leadership and his approach toward the customer has stood the test of time. James believed that the
success of his company lay with the customer and a motivated labor force.
It is obvious that the customer 's interests, not the stockholder 's, should come first." In 1947 he said,
"Care should be taken ... not to rivet attention on profit. Between 'How much do I get? ' and 'How do
I make this better, cheaper, more useful? ' the difference is fundamental and decisive." (J, Lincoln)
James valued customer satisfaction above all else, which inevitably led to the innovation and
production of a great product that met the consumer's needs.
His views on employee retention continue to be a guide within the company. If fulfilling customer
needs is the desired goal of the company then employee performance and productivity are the means
by which this goal can best be achieved.

The New Guideline That Affects All Medical Device...
Background
The FDA has established a new guideline that affects all medical device companies operating in
FDA regulated environments. The new guideline requires that all medical device companies be
compliant with UDI (Unique Device Identifier) requirements within the next one to three years,
depending on the device class. Most medical device companies are not compliant and will require a
compliant solution to maintain their FDA certification.
Description of the Product
PRISYM ID offers a turnkey global label management solution (PRISYM 360) that is FDA
compliant and meets the UDI requirements and standards. This is unlike any other product offered
by PRISYM ID therefore an entirely new course of instruction is being developed. ... Show more

Intended Audience
The audience for this instructional unit is medical device professionals consisting of Label
Designers, Quality Control, and Production Print Shop technicians. All are computer literate and
well versed in the latest Microsoft operating system and a variety of internet browsers. All have
been trained and certified by their in house compliance training staff on what the requirements are
for the new FDA regulation for unique device identification. The Label Designers tend to be more
technically proficient based on their daily use of other applications used for the creation of labels.
The label designers are typically the largest group, followed by Printing then Quality Control. The
instructional unit concentrates more on the label design process with stand–alone modules for the
approval process (Quality Control) and Production Print Shop technicians. A role–based approach is
being developed in which a learner who is not doing label design will not need to participate in the
entire course of instruction. They need only participate on the initial application overview, followed
by the module applicable to their job role.
Type and Purpose of Evaluation
Since this is a new application release and a corresponding new course of instruction, this will be a

Evaluation Of An Anti Bullying Program
Initially we thought we were going to be able to conduct an evaluation, but with lack of time, we
realized that was no longer feasible. Instead, we decided to take the idea of focusing on the
evaluation tools and develop an evaluation how–to of Rachel's challenge. Our goal was to have a
manual to present to UVMC and allow them to continue the evaluation further with our guided
manual. During our evaluation of Rachel's Challenge, it became a concern to us that this program
wasn't really a bullying prevention program, but more a program focused on character building.
After a lack of communication between the UVMC and Rachel's Challenge connections we decided
to shift our focus. We still wanted our final product to be a manual, but decided to focus on
presenting it to a broader audience. What we went forward with was developing a how–to manual
for evaluating an anti–bullying program. As I had already done some background research, getting
started went smoothly.
The process of developing the manual began with our previous class work. We used our complied
work as a reference point to set up the contents of the manual. Since our class work was focused on
Rachel's Challenge we had to redo everything, minus my background work. Section were divided
between Taylor and I and we each were responsible for three sections and manual and split
responsibility for continuing research on the background section. Dr. Green suggested we meet with
Randy, a research specialist from the library.

The Process Of Patient Assessment
DIABETES ASSESSMENT TOOLS The process of patient assessment is an integral part in the
development of education and plans of care. Because diabetes is largely a self–managed disease,
education is key to patient success. The process of providing diabetes self–management education
(DSME) may be facilitated by a variety of healthcare professionals, including nurses, dietitians,
pharmacists, physicians, mental health professionals, optometrists, podiatrists, and exercise
physiologists. Diabetes is a multifaceted, chronic disease that impacts body systems specific to each
of the disciplines (AADE, 2011). Single and multidisciplinary tools exist to facilitate the process of
effective patient assessment. Examples of these will be explored to identify strengths and
opportunities for improvement.
In an ideal setting DSME is provided by a multidisciplinary team, which allows the patient the
benefits of an array of expertise and perspective (AADE, 2011). While most patients benefit from
this approach, some may be averse to working with multiple team members and a single person on
the team may end up being the primary resource. It should also be noted that, not all patients have
access to a multidisciplinary team due to rural settings or barriers with insurance coverage. In these
situations, patients may receive care from a single healthcare professional that, with proper training
and mentorship from peers in other disciplines, can effectively provide education and support.

Personal Narrative Essay : What I Did This Summer
What I did this summer. That`s a good question to be honest, I did a lot of things that were
considered fun for me, like shopping, hanging out with my family, hanging out with my friends,
going to the beach, the water park and much more. But I will only break it down to two or three of
my favorite things I did this Summer, so stick around to see what my favorite things about this
Summer were. Like I said in my introduction, this paragraph will be about when I went shopping
multiple times with my family. I know it might sound dumb for a first paragraph but, too me it was
awesome. That's because, I love spending time with my family, especially when we're all getting
along. Let me break down this day for you. First it was a good morning, my mom made me
breakfast and everyone was in a good mood. My Brother was happy, my Dad was being hilarious,
and my Mom just seemed like she was having a great time. Then we all got dressed, I was making
sure that I looked extra stunning. So we get into the car and my favorite song comes on "Despacito"
so my family and I all started singing it together. About an hour later we get to the South lake Mall
and we went to four stores, Hollister, Vans, Journeys, and American Eagle. My Mom, Brother, and I
all went to those four stores while my Dad went shopping somewhere else. It was going well , we
were all having a fantastic time together. Then once we were done shopping we went to McDonald's
got some food because, who doesn't adore McDonald`s right? Then we headed back home, it was a
great day and for sure one of my favorite memories from this Summer. Keep in mind my family and
I did this like 2 or 3 times this year, so it was extra fun. My second paragraph will be about when I
went to Deep River Water–park with my friends, Eliot Cates, Ben Herz, Adam Collard, Cole
Watson, and Alden Cates. It was honestly such a great time especially because, I was with my close
friends. We went there for Eliot`s birthday. I was so excited when my Mom showed me the text
saying I got invited, I got all my snacks, clothes, and towels ready, days before it was actually time
for the "party". We were supposed to go on Wednesday, in July. So I get all ready and we head off
for Eliot`s house, everyone

should be set up in practice to assess ,define and predict quality. The major problem is that there are
many different models have been proposed from different researcher with different purpose and they
not use a uniform terminology.
2. Software quality models
The last 30 years in quality modeling created a many very different models widely termed as
"quality models". The examples for these diverse models is taxonomic models such as ISO 9126 and
the metric–based models such as maintainability index and the stochastic models such as reliability
growth models.
Quality Model is defined as a model with the goal to describe, evaluate or/and predict quality.

Questions On Performance Appraisal
QUESTIONS:
1. Based on your view of the objectives of performance evaluation, evaluate the perspective about
performance appraisal presented by the managers.
Basically, performance appraisal is a review and discussion on the performance of an employee with
responsibilities and duties. This appraisal is based on the results of the work produced by the
employee and not from the employee's personality characteristics. According to Edwin Flippo, he
said that "Performance appraisal is a systematic appraisal, periodic, and not partial to the employee
excellence, in other matters related to the present job and the potential for a better job".
Every company that exists, there must have their own objectives to ensure the company is success
regardless the one–plant company or small company. So, based on my view of the objectives of
performance evaluation, one of the objectives that presented by manager is about motivation and
reward. The motivation and reward is for the worker to make ... Show more content on

The manager can try to improve the worker, coach them, and work with them but sometimes it
doesn't work. Based on my opinion, I think this perspective is quite affect in which the worker feel
challenge and afraid if their performance decreases. So, they will be more effort in manage their
work to be better.
In conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages given to employees have pros and cons. The
performance appraisal need to give according to their actual performance in which when the worker
have a good performance, they can get benefit or reward for themselves. Otherwise, the worker that
does not have a good performance, the managers no need give them the benefit. Sometimes, the
worker those not really good in their performance, the manager also can give the moral support or
motivation to improve their performance. It also can benefit the

Research design. Data will be collected via surveys twice over the period of one academic year and
the evaluation questions aim to determine the role of the mentoring program in providing support to
its participants. Therefore, descriptive, time–series design is the most appropriate evaluation design
for this program evaluation. A key element of descriptive, time–series design is determining a trend
or change over time, which includes collecting information on participant status and attitude
(Fitzpatrick, et al., 2011 & SDSU, 2014). Participants Program leaders/managers. Mentoring
program leaders/managers are comprised of faculty and administrative members from TCC STEM
departments. One faculty or administrative member is chosen as lead to oversee all program related

Confidentiality And Confidentiality On Standards For...
Most Important Standards After reading a variety of material on standards for career professionals,
the two most important are confidentiality/privacy and professional responsibility.
Confidentiality/Privacy
Confidentiality/privacy are critical in counseling. The communication between the client and the
counselor must stay confidential, unless client intends to harm self or others or legally information is
needed for the court system (Capuzzi & Stauffer, 2012). The National Career Development (NCDA)
discusses the limitations to confidentiality in standard B.1.d (NCDA, 2015). A career professional is
required to discuss with the client the limitations to confidentiality at the beginning and throughout
the counseling process (NCDA, 2015). The ACA Code of Ethics breaks down confidentiality and
privacy into two sections. Standard B.1.b discusses respect of privacy, which contains the counselor
asking questions only if it is beneficial to the counseling process (ACA, 2014). Standard B1.c.
discusses the respect for confidentiality and the disclosure of information only if there is consent or
legal justification.
I believe maintaining confidentiality/privacy is one of the most important aspects in counseling. The
client will understand the significance of confidentiality and its limitations, while building trust into
the counselor. Once the trust between the client and counselor is formed, the client can succeed
through the counseling process. Confidentiality/privacy is

Identifying The Individuals Who Will Be Involved
Identifying the individuals who will be involved:
The individuals involved are male and female military services members who exhibit symptoms of
PTSD. These members can be age 18 years old – 70 years old.
Assess the needs of those involved:
When dealing with PTSD, it is important that the disorder is recognized in order to have effective
treatment. Recognition can occur by primary care physician, in general hospital setting, mental
health evaluation, screening and assessment after deployment. Being able to recognize symptoms
and diagnosis is the first step in assessing the needs of those involved and the first step in the
treatment process. The next step is assessment and coordination of care. Assessments of those

and outcomes of programs to make judgments about the program, improve program effectiveness,
and/or inform decisions about future program development" (Patton, 1997). This project will focus
on the best treatment plan for soldiers with PTSD. The goal is to find effective treatment so that
soldiers can successfully reintegrate back into society. Researcher intends to evaluate current
programs that treat PTSD. Identifying the programs goals, objectives, collecting information about
the program will assist in the program evaluation. Also, program evaluation can include different
types of evaluation that identify needs assessments, accreditation, cost/benefit analysis,
effectiveness, goal–based, and outcomes of the programs. This information will help identify best

R : A History And Overview
R: A History and Overview
The idea for R was first conceived in the early 1990's by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman, two
professors at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Although Ihaka had contemplated the idea
of developing a programming language before meeting Gentleman. He references a book entitled
The Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs as one inspiration that led to R. The book
was meant to teach programming to engineering students through Scheme. The book provided a
practical and interesting approach to programming. It also demonstrated the implementation process
of a language like Scheme. In addition to this book, Ihaka had also been inspired by S, a statistical
programming language developed at Bell Laboratories. He'd once needed to demonstrate a rule
concerning lexical scope to a peer and used S in lieu of Scheme. He was surprised to see that the
demonstration didn't work due to S's scoping differences. This caused him to begin thinking of
major improvements on S that could lead to a better statistical programming language.
It was with this inspiration that Ihaka started collaboration with Gentleman on developing a new
language. Since they were both statisticians, they sought to create a statistical language that could
aid in their introductory courses. More generally, they wanted to create a language that operated in
the same way a statistical analyst would think. By 1994, they had completed their first version of

Performance Evaluations : The Performance Evaluation Process
Performance Evaluations are a headache to many managers in the employment community. They
can make it difficult to have a great workplace connection. In addition, they make it hard to
accomplish goal performances. The performance evaluation system is a dislike process by em–
ployees and their supervisors. According to Chan & Yung (2002), "The performance evaluation is
quite subjective since it relies on the individual judgements of supervisors who have different per–
ceptions of the process performance" (p. 237). According to research, majority of personnel hates
the performance evaluation process from beginning to end. It is known that managers really hate the
day to day procedures when it comes to finalizing a performance evaluation. In order to be an
effective manager, they will need to have the distinguish traits. This paper will explain if there is a
profile need for a manager that struggles during the performance evaluation process. Now on the
other hand, it is important for managers to understand the key elements of the performance
evaluation process. The main reason that many managers hate the performance evaluation process
initially is that it's aggravating. The initial reason for managers disliking the performance evaluation
process is because they do not know their workers. In addition, there many instances when the
managers will have to rely on others to paint a picture of the employee during the performance
evaluation process. There are

Assessment System And Model Is Based On The Following...
Our assessment system and model is based on the following guiding principles
 Developing the key knowledge and skills required for success in KS4
 Consistently high expected standards of students
 High levels of quality formative feedback allowing all students to succeed – develops a 'growth
mindset'
 Incorporates periodic summative assessment to support this ongoing formative feedback
 Is simple and easy to understand – for staff, parents and students.
 Has consistent principles, to be used across subjects, but the flexibility to be suitable for all
subjects.
THE SHAPWICK MODEL
 Subject team members come up with the 'big ideas' in their subject.
 From this, teams consider 'what do students need to master, in terms of knowledge and skills, in
order to be successful in KS4?'
 Based on this, what does 'excelling' in each subject look like?
 Producing a scaffold for progress towards 'excelling' through the thresholds, from a baseline
threshold, by giving students feedback about how to progress to the next threshold.
 Use the thresholds to plan for progression and focus assessment and feedback on the key
knowledge and skills.
OVERVIEW
 Students are not assigned a target level – they are all expected to aspire to excellence –Growth
Mindset. Rather than focusing on a pre–determined (and limiting) end point, we are focusing on
their starting point and building from there.
 Assessment is based on progress made – so celebrates effort of all students, with different

Why Employees Are Not Working As A Team
Ahmad Jabareen Dr. Christopher Gourdine Graduate Management 04 September 2014 One of the
most important objects that today's business depends on is training. Speed market requires that
employees constantly learn new skills. Increasing dependence on collaboration creates a demand for
the ability to solve problems in teams. The ability that regularly requires proper training.
Organizations need training programs that improves skills and behaviors that will help the
organization achieve its goals, this is created throughout instructional design. In order to determine
whether the training will be the solution; first it will be necessary to begin with a needs assessments,
(the process of assessing the establishment, employees, and employees' tasks to decide what kinds
of training, if any, are required.) Before looking for the solution; it is logical to find the cause of why
the employees are not working as a team, in order to find the efficient and effective solution.
Starting with a needs assessments process as the first step in the instructional design process, which
is the most important step in finding the solution; because training in some situations would not be
the best solution, employees may have issues of low salaries, no reward system, or no motivations in
the work place. The needs assessment would also include organizational, person, and task analysis.
The needs assessments will start with organization analysis, the process of evaluating the

Questions On The Assessment Plan
B. Questions for Case Study 2 1.a. Identify one strength in the assessment plan and explain why it is
a strength in relation to the learning goals of the unit. One strength in the assessment plan is it's
adherence to the specific learning goals of the unit. While the format of the assessments leaves much
to be desired, each assessment aims to assess a specific learning goal laid out in unit plan. 1.b.
Identify one weakness in the assessment plan and explain why it is a weakness in relation to the
learning goals of the unit. One weakness in the assessment plan is the lack of variability in terms of
the format of the assessments and the feedback provided by the teacher. Each assessment is a
formal, multiple–choice style test, thereby likely reducing the students' need to use sketches or
manipulatives to explain reasoning; with this format, correct answers depend on choosing the
correct letter, not the student's proficiency at reasoning and explaining. 2. Suppose you found the
following additional assessment in a supplementary resource. Think about how the additional
assessment could improve the teacher's assessment plan. Additional Assessment Each student is
given a box of plastic coins and bills. The box contains examples of each type of coin and bill.

One of the first steps involved in carrying out a preliminary investigation include understanding the
problem or opportunity in sight. The analyst must first identify which department, users and
business processes the system request is involved in to evaluate and assess the causes and effects
related in the proposed system. Defining the project scope and constraints is the second step. With
clear indications of the projects boundaries or extent the project scope is determined, while the
requirements or conditions the system must confer to or achieve determine the projects constraints.
The third step in a preliminary investigation consists of fact finding techniques, that involve the

Social And Social Data Analysis
Abstract–Social data analysis could be a kind of analysis during Which individuals add a social,

Part 3: Test Instructions Before the students began the assessment, I explained how they will use the
different strategies they have been learning to solve addition and subtraction problems on the
worksheet. I expressed how this worksheet will let me know if we need more practice with any
strategy that we have learned so far. I continued to go over the various components of the
assessment. I began by declaring that there are only five problems they need to solve and each
problem has directions above it. I emphasized the importance of reading the instructions because the
problems ask you to solve the equation is different ways. I also communicated that I will be

students understand the directions. In my class this school year there are 8 English Language
Learners who may be able to read the directions but could have trouble understanding them. I

larger social environment that may affect implementation; Reach–the proportion of the intended
audience to whom the program is actually delivered; Dose–delivered–The amount of intended units
of each program component that is delivered; Dose–received–the extent to which participants
engage with the program; Fidelity–the extent to which the intervention was delivered as intended (

target audience (adolescents) that participates in an intervention (tobacco cessation) is often
measured by attendance. Reach is a feature of the target audience. Dose delivered is a function of
efforts of the intervention providers. The extent to which participants actively engage with, interact

Data Analysis / Progress Monitoring Results
Data Analysis/Progress Monitoring Results. After the implementation of the behavior intervention
plan strategies over a six–month period, the results of Juan's academic progress are as follows; the
middle of the year assessments that the teacher reported from the beginning of the year in reading,
writing and math were positive for Juan's progress. However, the results at the end of the year this
writer was able to conduct in reading, writing, math and running records were outstanding in growth
showing significant progress in the academic area as a result of the behavior intervention plan and
strategies applied to shape Juan's behavior during the period of approximately six months.
Nevertheless, Juan's behavior seemed to be anxious at times during these assessments. He was
fidgeting and had difficulty waiting for instructions so he sucked his thumb while listening. The
student was eager to show how well he was doing academically. Once he knew what was expected
of him, he performed confidently.
Interpretation of Intervention Results. This researcher was able to conduct, score and report the
results of assessments administered to Juan as part of this action research project at the end of the
school year. Although, this writer was not able to produce the assessments conducted by Juan's
teacher, she reported that he made significant progress academically from the middle of the year
(MOY) assessments in comparison with the assessments at the end of the year (EOY). The

Assessment Strategies : Formative And Summative
This course addressed different assessment strategies, both formative and summative, to help me
evaluate what students have learned in my classroom. The standard paper/pencil test to assess
student learning is no longer the norm. There are various ways I can assess a student's learning that
will not take a lot of time or planning. Today's advances in technology provide me with a broad
range of different strategies. The word "test" is most often associated with the paper/pencil format. I
realize that not all assessments in the classroom have to be done through the use of a paper/pencil
test. In the real world, many people are assessed in ways that do not require a paper and pencil. For
example, I may assess a student's learning by having a conversation with them or how evaluating
how well they physically perform a skill. Last fall I offered my students the option to either take a
paper/pencil test or create a review board game to demonstrate what they had learned about ancient
Egypt. Majority of the students chose the board game because it was something they had not done
before. Each board game illustrated the student's individuality and character. I knew I was
incorporating a mix of formative and summative tests in my class, however I did not remember
those terms. Now I have a better understanding of what formative and summative assessments are.
Formative assessments provide me with valuable immediate feedback on what my students are
learning so that I can improve my

Evaluation And Evaluation Of Evaluation
Participant–oriented approaches to evaluation at present include many different models, but they
share one thing in common that they all use stakeholders in the program to assist in conducting the
evaluation. However, they may use them to attain different goals and employ in different ways. This
mini paper will present three evaluation approaches that involving stakeholders in the evaluation
process, which are participatory evaluation, developmental evaluation, and empowerment
evaluation. Participatory evaluation Jean King in the Encyclopedia of Evaluation defines
participatory evaluation as "an overarching term for any evaluation approach that involves program
staff or participants actively in decision making and other activities related to the planning and
implementation of evaluation studies" (Fitzpatrick, Sanders, and Worthen, 2011, p.199). However,
the type and level of stakeholder involvement will certainly vary between different types, for
instance between a local level impact evaluation and an evaluation of policy changes (Guijt, 2014).
Therefore, it is essential to consider the purpose of involving stakeholders, and which stakeholders
should be involved and how, in order to maximise the effectiveness of the approach. Participatory
evaluation are distinguished by four characteristics, as follows: 1. Direct and active participant
involvement over time in evaluation planning and implementation. It is stakeholder based or
consumer focused. 2. Participants ownership

Graduation Speech : Literature Review
Literature Review "In the end, all learners need your energy, your heart, and your mind. They have
that in common because they are young humans. How they need you, however, differs. Unless we
understand and respond to those differences, we fail many leaners" (Tomlinson, 2001, p. 15). In the
beginning of the year, my students and I got through the highly anticipated first few days of school
full of expectations, community builders, and fun, when I quickly learned I had a classroom of
"math haters." When I surveyed my class, I found out the majority of my students thought math was
boring and hard, and there was a strong dislike of math. While I collected my own data on them as

Math workshop is a flexible structure for math instruction that involves a mini lesson, independent
practice, stations, and reflection.
I knew I wanted, needed, to implement math workshop into my classroom. Heuser's three year study
supported my passion to implement math workshop as his outcomes resulted in outperformance
compared to nonworkshop classrooms (Heuser, 2000, p. 36). As I began my researching further, I
realized there are many different avenues to take when implementing math workshop. Sammons'
(2010) view on math workshop is as follows: "Math Workshop is a versatile structure that
accommodates a vast array of learning activities. Its flexibility is one of its greatest advantages"
(p.184). Heuser (2000) has found much success meeting the needs of his learners in science and
math using the workshop model. "This success can foster an understanding in those who want to
move from one–size–fits–all math and science instructional models to a model in which children in
all different states of development can succeed and learn" (p. 36–37).
As my research continued, I realized math workshop would not be beneficial just because students
are different but because students need different support and instructional methods with each skill
and point in development of the skill. The workshop

The Importance Of A Student 's Education And That May...
A factor that I feel is vital for a student's education and that may benefit a teacher is the factor of
assessments. Assessments is a method in which teachers use to evaluate, measure, and document the
progress students have made. While assessments are usually equated with traditional testing teachers
may also use a diverse array of assessment methods to measure a students progress in any class.
Assessments are usually created to measure specific elements of learning wither its cognitive,
psychomotor or affective. Assessment may also be used to see the level of knowledge a student may
already have on a concept or a skill that the teacher is planning on teaching. Assessments are also
used to identify individual student weaknesses and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You are also able to provide parents with evidence in their child's progress or the lack of progress
the child is making. After assessing students the teacher may modify there instruction to a students
need. It may also encourage teachers to assess there own teaching and the adjustments they may
need to make to enhance there teaching. By holding teachers responsible for assessing students,
teachers understand they need to provide a higher quality of education. As we see a higher emphasis
on assessments and the accountability on teachers. We are now required to provide evidence of
student's achievements (Rink & Williams, 2003). We can provide these achievements with hard
copies of assessments taken by the students. Earlier in the paper I had mentioned the two
assessments commonly used through out schools. Another assessment that is highly used in physical
education is authentic assessment, which was promoted by Grant Wiggins (1989). This sort of
assessment places students in real world problems which students may use skills and knowledge to
solve these issues (Jacalyn Lund, 1997). There are about 15 forms of authentic assessments. These
forms are teacher observation, self–observation, checklists, demonstration, peer observation, event
task, group projects, student projects, oral discourse, student log and etc. With Mitah (2003)

Evaluating A Teacher On The State Of Georgia
Evaluating of a Teacher in the state of Georgia Based on the Georgia Department of Education,
Georgia has a new way of evaluating all of its teachers. Beginners teachers are held with the same
standards as tenured teachers. The evaluation is through Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES)
which is consist of three components which gives to an overall Teacher Effectiveness Measure
(TEM). First component is Teacher Assessment on Performance Standards (TAPS). The second
component is Surveys of Instructional Practice (student perception surveys). Lastly Student Growth
Percentile and Student Learning Objective. (SGP and SLO). There is a special process for TKES.
All teachers are given a login/user name and have to setup an account based on school district. Once
the teacher has established his/her account. First, they must have an orientation by their building
administrator or an expert from the district. The district expert normally handles the induction/new
hire teachers and the building administrator conduct veteran teachers. Once the orientation has been
complete, each teacher must login their GaDOE TLE account and sign off on the electronic
platform. Second, Familiarization for teacher evaluation. Teacher familiarization acclimation
comprises of continuous expert learning using GaDOE gave materials on each of the ten
performance standard principles which are the assessment 's premise framework. Third, Self–
Assessment will follow the familiarization.

Health Impact Assessment : The Health Of A Population And...
The National Research Council describes HIA as "a systematic process that uses an array of data
sources and analytic methods, and considers input from stakeholders to determine the potential
effects of a proposed policy, plan, program, or project on the health of a population and the
distribution of those effects within the population. HIA provides recommendations on monitoring
and managing those effects (Health Impact Assessment, 2015)"
Healthcare providers counsel their patients on ways to keep in good physical health. Similarly,
Health Impact Assessments (HIA) offers the same guidance to communities. This information helps
societies make educated choices about refining public health by means of community planning.
HIA is a method that aids in assessments of the possible health effects of an idea, assignment or
program before it is constructed or applied. An HIA may offer recommendations to raise
encouraging health outcomes and lessen adverse health results. HIA conveys possible public health
effects and concerns to the decision–making method for strategies, plans, and rules that lay outside
the customary public health areas like transportation and land usage.
The main steps in leading an HIA include screening, which classifies plans, ventures or strategies
for which an HIA would be useful. Scoping detects which health effects to study. Evaluating dangers
and benefits finds what and how people might be affected. Creating recommendations proposes

What Are The Five Major Elements Of Data Driven...
Question 1: What forms of data do you use most often to make instructional or other decisions? As a
teacher I use formative and summative data to drive my instruction. As I start with the state standard
for the lesson and plan a formative assessment on that skill before a summative assessment. In years
prior our school district used the platform of Performance Matter to collect data of that grade level
standards three times a year. This type of information set in with Dr. Scott McLeod (20??) essential
concepts. "The five major elements of data–driven instruction are: good baseline, measurable
instructional goals, frequent formative assessment, professional learning communities, and focused
instructional interventions (pp. 1–2, 20??). The assessment gave teachers a baseline, mid–year, and
end year focus. When the teacher delved into the platform each question was broken down each
standard and concept, thus allowing teacher to provide adequate instructional goal to meet the
students' needs. Teachers would also look at past state standardized testing to determine what if any
remediation is needed. As a principal, he/she/I needs to understand the data elements to schedule

Being Professionals Nurses And Being Educational Role As...
As being professionals nurses and being educational role as mentors we have a great responsibility
to deal with students who are failing or we could say whose practise are giving a cause of concern.
But for a very long time it was a subject which was not very much talked about or it was brushed
under the carpet. It is quite understandable that it can be very distressing not only for the student but
for the person who makes that decision or judgement. It came to lime light only after Cathering
Duffy's research was published in 2004 and we know it had a huge impact in the mentorship and
that one of the reason that we are learning, talking about it and even looking at different ways of
managing it. When the code published by nursing and midwife council provides standards of
performance for nurses and midwifes, one of its key role is to safeguard the health and wellbeing of
public. Even though this code of conduct seems relatively straight forward, it is very difficult in
implementing those in practise. Sutcliff which is very significant vies shared by Hannah Sutcliff and
ii agree with Sutcliff it on this matter because the patient and nurse relationship is very complex and
it can be incredibly difficult to measure this However on the other hand we as mentor nurses , we
are also are bound by the code of conduct mentoring our students which definitely involves
continuously assessing them and giving them a plan of a direction to follow on their learning

A Common Mistake With Companies
'A common mistake with companies is to employ too many metrics and those that are simply too
complex to understand' (Sanders, 2014, p.172). Therefore, the ability to choose the right
measurements is critical to make improvements that will lead to cost reductions, increased margins
and superior performance. From this point, companies need to assess their supply chain by focusing
on Key Performance Indicators (KPI). According to the Advanced Performance Institute (n.d.), KPI
can be defined as measurements that enable a company to assess how well a business unit, projects
or individuals are performing compared to their strategic goals and objectives. In the past,
enterprises used to focus purely on financial metrics like the net profit margin ... Show more content

267 words The first metric used to measure the supply chain's performance is called the Balanced
Scorecard (BSC). (Kaplan and Norton, 1996) This model is valuable as it informs the company
about the level of efficiency of the supply chain in the following four areas: financial, customer
satisfaction, internal processes and learning and growth ability. Moreover, it allows to identify which
sector is underperforming and requires more attention. Each of the four dimensions has a specific
objective and target that are set by the company and are then matched with a metric which will
assess performance in each dimension. For instance, related to the financial aspect, if the company's
objective is a 10 percent turnover rise compared to the previous year, it will use the monthly
turnover rate to keep track of the progress. The same procedure is to be followed for the three other
areas, using different metrics as objectives will be different. The selected measurements must be
meaningful to the firm as this model will be used to guide the organisation's strategy on the long–
run. A second metric available to assess a supply chain's reliability is the perfect order index. It is
defined by Harmon (2014) as 'the percentage of orders meeting delivery performance with

The Importance Of Reflective Practices That Provide...
Discuss the importance of reflective practices that provide opportunities for mathematics teachers to
systematically assess the effects of their practice and experiences. Reflective practices that provide
opportunities for mathematics teachers to systematically assess the effects of their practices and
experiences are very important. The research I have found supports the use of reflective practices
even if it means slowing down the pace of the material covered. One type of reflective practice is
formative assessments. The research I have found will show examples of different types of
formative assessments, how to implement formative assessments, and the benefits of using
formative assessments as a reflective practice. There are many ways to utilize formative assessments
and they are very effective in helping teacher's reflect.
In article by J Dodge, "What are Formative Assessments and Why Should we Use Them? " Dodge
states that formative assessments help students "strive to understand what success looks like and use
each assessment to try to understand how to do better the next time." Dodge discusses that it is so
important to take the time for formative assessment because it will make the teaching process so
much more effective. In my classroom, I have observed a difference in lesson plans that have
formative assessment built in and those that do not. The formative assessment can uncover a theme
of where the gaps are for all of my learners.

Essay on Evaluate Different Techniques for Sampling Evidence
3.1 Evaluate different techniques for sampling evidence of assessment, including use of technology
There are a wide variety of techniques used for sampling the evidence of assessment which are all
valuable for different reasons. Below are listed these different techniques
a) Direct observation is the best way to evaluate the assessor's ability to carry out a fair and valid
assessment. The observation should ideally take place in the work environment and involve the
learner carrying out specific tasks as required for inclusion in the learner's portfolio of evidence. The
IQA can quickly establish the effect of the assessment on the learner and can get a good impression
of the rapport that the assessor has with the learner and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This can be problematic within the actual workplace
e) Questioning is another method of sampling evidence and will involve the questioning of both the
assessor and the candidate. To ensure that the evidence has the necessary validity the questions to
the learner should happen in private away from the assessor. The need for the learner to feel that
they have the confidence to disclose the true picture of the assessment process is very important.
The question sessions can be recorded on the necessary portfolio documentation but can add validity
if they are recorded on tape or digitally and used as evidence.
f) Underpinning knowledge questions can be sampled effectively as the Awarding Organisation will
provide the answers which can be checked and a total can be calculated and compared with what the
assessor has marked
g) E–portfolios are a useful tool for assessments and can be sampled remotely along with virtual
assessment tools such as Skype etc. These can pose problems with validity as the assessor will need
to agree the conditions before assessment to ensure that the tasks have been completed by the
candidate and that there is no plagiarism which may interfere with the assessment process
h) The candidates will generally be allocated an expert witness whilst working on site. This person

("Midterm Student Feedback," n.d.). Survey methods are the most popular methods for evaluating
MSF.
The IDEA model is another evaluation resource. It also utilizes a student rating system for allowing
students to evaluate instructor teaching and student satisfaction with the course. Research states that
students tend to have higher exam scores, can apply the material better and are more apt to pursue
the subject subsequently, when they learn from instructors with high ratings. (Benton and Cashin,
2012). Furthermore, improving student satisfaction. The IDEA survey evaluates six different factors
commonly found on student rating evaluation forms. Overall, students find that course organization
and planning, clarity and communication skills, teacher/student interaction and rapport, course
difficulty and workload, grading and examinations, and student self–rated learning are all essential
components to improving satisfaction with the instructor and course. (Benton and Cashin, 2012).
Traditionally, in the live classroom setting, administrators or peer evaluators could pay a scheduled
or unscheduled visit to the classroom and began the evaluation process. The advantage was
observing the instructor in real time and the interaction with students. Well, with the recent shift of
live classrooms becoming more distance accessible online courses, this process is similar but
executed differently. Other elements are considered when

The Mammoth Task Of Completing Any Serious Evaluative...

  • 1. The Mammoth Task Of Completing Any Serious Evaluative... The mammoth task of completing any serious evaluative process requires teamwork, determination, and a sense of urgency. The hours of analyzing, reading, studying documents, collaborating, and meetings can drain the most ardent staff. In the case of DSU's 2013 Year One Evaluation, a 28– person committee, two peer evaluators, the President, and clerical staff labored many hours to complete the necessary reports. The comprehensive evaluation involved many more persons. Notable Similarities between the Two Evaluations The Comprehensive Evaluation of 2012 and the Year One Evaluation of 2013 bore many similarities. For one, the same ALO and ISAAC conducted both evaluations. The ISAAC is appointed and serves for a two–year period and, thus, was the same group in 2013 as it was in 2013. In fact, Bryant and Brown still serve as 2015–2016 co–chairs ("ISAAC Membership," 2015, p. 1). The ALO serves an indeterminate length and, as of November 2015, was still Debra Bryant. The tone of both evaluations and their attendant reports are overwhelmingly positive and one is left with a positive view of DSU from them. One of the reasons that 2013 offers such a bright outlook is the fact that the administration, staff, faculty, and students of the university made a determined effort to address the concerns of the 2012 committee. This course of action meant that the 2013 report reflected a considerable effort on the stakeholders' part to ensure that the university received a positive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Analysis Of The Lincoln Electric Company Analysis of the Lincoln Electric Company Upon review of the Lincoln Electric Company case study conducted by Arthur Sharpish of Harvard University, I came to find that the culture within the company is what elevated Lincoln Electric above all other companies in that field. When analyzing the report I considered many aspects of the company in order to determine what exactly that separates Lincoln from their competition. First, I examined the ongoing influence that has been exerted by the founders of the company. Lincoln Electric was founded by James F. Lincoln at the turn of the 20th century. His influence in leadership and his approach toward the customer has stood the test of time. James believed that the success of his company lay with the customer and a motivated labor force. It is obvious that the customer 's interests, not the stockholder 's, should come first." In 1947 he said, "Care should be taken ... not to rivet attention on profit. Between 'How much do I get? ' and 'How do I make this better, cheaper, more useful? ' the difference is fundamental and decisive." (J, Lincoln) James valued customer satisfaction above all else, which inevitably led to the innovation and production of a great product that met the consumer's needs. His views on employee retention continue to be a guide within the company. If fulfilling customer needs is the desired goal of the company then employee performance and productivity are the means by which this goal can best be achieved. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The New Guideline That Affects All Medical Device... Background The FDA has established a new guideline that affects all medical device companies operating in FDA regulated environments. The new guideline requires that all medical device companies be compliant with UDI (Unique Device Identifier) requirements within the next one to three years, depending on the device class. Most medical device companies are not compliant and will require a compliant solution to maintain their FDA certification. Description of the Product PRISYM ID offers a turnkey global label management solution (PRISYM 360) that is FDA compliant and meets the UDI requirements and standards. This is unlike any other product offered by PRISYM ID therefore an entirely new course of instruction is being developed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Intended Audience The audience for this instructional unit is medical device professionals consisting of Label Designers, Quality Control, and Production Print Shop technicians. All are computer literate and well versed in the latest Microsoft operating system and a variety of internet browsers. All have been trained and certified by their in house compliance training staff on what the requirements are for the new FDA regulation for unique device identification. The Label Designers tend to be more technically proficient based on their daily use of other applications used for the creation of labels. The label designers are typically the largest group, followed by Printing then Quality Control. The instructional unit concentrates more on the label design process with stand–alone modules for the approval process (Quality Control) and Production Print Shop technicians. A role–based approach is being developed in which a learner who is not doing label design will not need to participate in the entire course of instruction. They need only participate on the initial application overview, followed by the module applicable to their job role. Type and Purpose of Evaluation Since this is a new application release and a corresponding new course of instruction, this will be a formative ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Evaluation Of An Anti Bullying Program Initially we thought we were going to be able to conduct an evaluation, but with lack of time, we realized that was no longer feasible. Instead, we decided to take the idea of focusing on the evaluation tools and develop an evaluation how–to of Rachel's challenge. Our goal was to have a manual to present to UVMC and allow them to continue the evaluation further with our guided manual. During our evaluation of Rachel's Challenge, it became a concern to us that this program wasn't really a bullying prevention program, but more a program focused on character building. After a lack of communication between the UVMC and Rachel's Challenge connections we decided to shift our focus. We still wanted our final product to be a manual, but decided to focus on presenting it to a broader audience. What we went forward with was developing a how–to manual for evaluating an anti–bullying program. As I had already done some background research, getting started went smoothly. The process of developing the manual began with our previous class work. We used our complied work as a reference point to set up the contents of the manual. Since our class work was focused on Rachel's Challenge we had to redo everything, minus my background work. Section were divided between Taylor and I and we each were responsible for three sections and manual and split responsibility for continuing research on the background section. Dr. Green suggested we meet with Randy, a research specialist from the library. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Process Of Patient Assessment DIABETES ASSESSMENT TOOLS The process of patient assessment is an integral part in the development of education and plans of care. Because diabetes is largely a self–managed disease, education is key to patient success. The process of providing diabetes self–management education (DSME) may be facilitated by a variety of healthcare professionals, including nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, physicians, mental health professionals, optometrists, podiatrists, and exercise physiologists. Diabetes is a multifaceted, chronic disease that impacts body systems specific to each of the disciplines (AADE, 2011). Single and multidisciplinary tools exist to facilitate the process of effective patient assessment. Examples of these will be explored to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. In an ideal setting DSME is provided by a multidisciplinary team, which allows the patient the benefits of an array of expertise and perspective (AADE, 2011). While most patients benefit from this approach, some may be averse to working with multiple team members and a single person on the team may end up being the primary resource. It should also be noted that, not all patients have access to a multidisciplinary team due to rural settings or barriers with insurance coverage. In these situations, patients may receive care from a single healthcare professional that, with proper training and mentorship from peers in other disciplines, can effectively provide education and support. ... • 11. Personal Narrative Essay : What I Did This Summer What I did this summer. That`s a good question to be honest, I did a lot of things that were considered fun for me, like shopping, hanging out with my family, hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, the water park and much more. But I will only break it down to two or three of my favorite things I did this Summer, so stick around to see what my favorite things about this Summer were. Like I said in my introduction, this paragraph will be about when I went shopping multiple times with my family. I know it might sound dumb for a first paragraph but, too me it was awesome. That's because, I love spending time with my family, especially when we're all getting along. Let me break down this day for you. First it was a good morning, my mom made me breakfast and everyone was in a good mood. My Brother was happy, my Dad was being hilarious, and my Mom just seemed like she was having a great time. Then we all got dressed, I was making sure that I looked extra stunning. So we get into the car and my favorite song comes on "Despacito" so my family and I all started singing it together. About an hour later we get to the South lake Mall and we went to four stores, Hollister, Vans, Journeys, and American Eagle. My Mom, Brother, and I all went to those four stores while my Dad went shopping somewhere else. It was going well , we were all having a fantastic time together. Then once we were done shopping we went to McDonald's got some food because, who doesn't adore McDonald`s right? Then we headed back home, it was a great day and for sure one of my favorite memories from this Summer. Keep in mind my family and I did this like 2 or 3 times this year, so it was extra fun. My second paragraph will be about when I went to Deep River Water–park with my friends, Eliot Cates, Ben Herz, Adam Collard, Cole Watson, and Alden Cates. It was honestly such a great time especially because, I was with my close friends. We went there for Eliot`s birthday. I was so excited when my Mom showed me the text saying I got invited, I got all my snacks, clothes, and towels ready, days before it was actually time for the "party". We were supposed to go on Wednesday, in July. So I get all ready and we head off for Eliot`s house, everyone ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. Questions On Performance Appraisal QUESTIONS: 1. Based on your view of the objectives of performance evaluation, evaluate the perspective about performance appraisal presented by the managers. Basically, performance appraisal is a review and discussion on the performance of an employee with responsibilities and duties. This appraisal is based on the results of the work produced by the employee and not from the employee's personality characteristics. According to Edwin Flippo, he said that "Performance appraisal is a systematic appraisal, periodic, and not partial to the employee excellence, in other matters related to the present job and the potential for a better job". Every company that exists, there must have their own objectives to ensure the company is success regardless the one–plant company or small company. So, based on my view of the objectives of performance evaluation, one of the objectives that presented by manager is about motivation and reward. Mentoring Program For Underrepresented Racial Minority Program Evaluation Introduction The mentoring program for underrepresented racial minority (URM) college undergraduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors at Tacoma Community College (TCC) in Tacoma, WA has established short–, intermediate–, and long–term outcomes. This mentoring program aims to provide support to URMs in STEM majors to increase participant academic performance, confidence and self–efficacy, and sense of belonging within their educational department and the college campus. In addition, the mentoring program will be providing stakeholders the skills and confidence to make changes towards social justice for URM college students. Accordingly, the evaluation approach that is most appropriate to use for this evaluation is the participant–oriented, transformative participatory evaluation approach (T–PE) (Cousins & Whitmore, 1998 & Fitzpatrick, Sanders, & Worthen, 2011). Research design. Data will be collected via surveys twice over the period of one academic year and the evaluation questions aim to determine the role of the mentoring program in providing support to its participants. Therefore, descriptive, time–series design is the most appropriate evaluation design for this program evaluation. A key element of descriptive, time–series design is determining a trend or change over time, which includes collecting information on participant status and attitude (Fitzpatrick, et al., 2011 & SDSU, 2014). Participants Program leaders/managers. Mentoring program leaders/managers are comprised of faculty and administrative members from TCC STEM departments. One faculty or administrative member is chosen as lead to oversee all program related activities during the academic year. Mentors. • 20. Confidentiality And Confidentiality On Standards For... Most Important Standards After reading a variety of material on standards for career professionals, the two most important are confidentiality/privacy and professional responsibility. Confidentiality/Privacy Confidentiality/privacy are critical in counseling. The communication between the client and the counselor must stay confidential, unless client intends to harm self or others or legally information is needed for the court system (Capuzzi & Stauffer, 2012). The National Career Development (NCDA) discusses the limitations to confidentiality in standard B.1.d (NCDA, 2015). A career professional is required to discuss with the client the limitations to confidentiality at the beginning and throughout the counseling process (NCDA, 2015). The ACA Code of Ethics breaks down confidentiality and privacy into two sections. Standard B.1.b discusses respect of privacy, which contains the counselor asking questions only if it is beneficial to the counseling process (ACA, 2014). Standard B1.c. discusses the respect for confidentiality and the disclosure of information only if there is consent or legal justification. I believe maintaining confidentiality/privacy is one of the most important aspects in counseling. The client will understand the significance of confidentiality and its limitations, while building trust into the counselor. Once the trust between the client and counselor is formed, the client can succeed through the counseling process. Confidentiality/privacy is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

R : A History And Overview R: A History and Overview The idea for R was first conceived in the early 1990's by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman, two professors at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Although Ihaka had contemplated the idea of developing a programming language before meeting Gentleman. He references a book entitled The Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs as one inspiration that led to R. The book was meant to teach programming to engineering students through Scheme. The book provided a practical and interesting approach to programming. It also demonstrated the implementation process of a language like Scheme. In addition to this book, Ihaka had also been inspired by S, a statistical programming language developed at Bell Laboratories. He'd once needed to demonstrate a rule concerning lexical scope to a peer and used S in lieu of Scheme. He was surprised to see that the demonstration didn't work due to S's scoping differences. This caused him to begin thinking of major improvements on S that could lead to a better statistical programming language. It was with this inspiration that Ihaka started collaboration with Gentleman on developing a new language. Since they were both statisticians, they sought to create a statistical language that could aid in their introductory courses. More generally, they wanted to create a language that operated in the same way a statistical analyst would think. By 1994, they had completed their first version of their new ... • 26. Performance Evaluations : The Performance Evaluation Process Performance Evaluations are a headache to many managers in the employment community. They can make it difficult to have a great workplace connection. In addition, they make it hard to accomplish goal performances. The performance evaluation system is a dislike process by em– ployees and their supervisors. According to Chan & Yung (2002), "The performance evaluation is quite subjective since it relies on the individual judgements of supervisors who have different per– ceptions of the process performance" (p. 237). According to research, majority of personnel hates the performance evaluation process from beginning to end. It is known that managers really hate the day to day procedures when it comes to finalizing a performance evaluation. In order to be an effective manager, they will need to have the distinguish traits. This paper will explain if there is a profile need for a manager that struggles during the performance evaluation process. Now on the other hand, it is important for managers to understand the key elements of the performance evaluation process. The main reason that many managers hate the performance evaluation process initially is that it's aggravating. The initial reason for managers disliking the performance evaluation process is because they do not know their workers. In addition, there many instances when the managers will have to rely on others to paint a picture of the employee during the performance evaluation process. There are ... • 28. Assessment System And Model Is Based On The Following... Our assessment system and model is based on the following guiding principles  Developing the key knowledge and skills required for success in KS4  Consistently high expected standards of students  High levels of quality formative feedback allowing all students to succeed – develops a 'growth mindset'  Incorporates periodic summative assessment to support this ongoing formative feedback  Is simple and easy to understand – for staff, parents and students.  Has consistent principles, to be used across subjects, but the flexibility to be suitable for all subjects. THE SHAPWICK MODEL  Subject team members come up with the 'big ideas' in their subject.  From this, teams consider 'what do students need to master, in terms of knowledge and skills, in order to be successful in KS4?'  Based on this, what does 'excelling' in each subject look like?  Producing a scaffold for progress towards 'excelling' through the thresholds, from a baseline threshold, by giving students feedback about how to progress to the next threshold.  Use the thresholds to plan for progression and focus assessment and feedback on the key knowledge and skills. OVERVIEW  Students are not assigned a target level – they are all expected to aspire to excellence –Growth Mindset. Rather than focusing on a pre–determined (and limiting) end point, we are focusing on their starting point and building from there.  Assessment is based on progress made – so celebrates effort of all students, with different ... Why Employees Are Not Working As A Team Ahmad Jabareen Dr. Christopher Gourdine Graduate Management 04 September 2014 One of the most important objects that today's business depends on is training. Speed market requires that employees constantly learn new skills. Increasing dependence on collaboration creates a demand for the ability to solve problems in teams. The ability that regularly requires proper training. Organizations need training programs that improves skills and behaviors that will help the organization achieve its goals, this is created throughout instructional design. In order to determine whether the training will be the solution; first it will be necessary to begin with a needs assessments, (the process of assessing the establishment, employees, and employees' tasks to decide what kinds of training, if any, are required.) Before looking for the solution; it is logical to find the cause of why the employees are not working as a team, in order to find the efficient and effective solution. Starting with a needs assessments process as the first step in the instructional design process, which is the most important step in finding the solution; because training in some situations would not be the best solution, employees may have issues of low salaries, no reward system, or no motivations in the work place. The needs assessment would also include organizational, person, and task analysis. The needs assessments will start with organization analysis, the process of evaluating the ... Identify one strength in the assessment plan and explain why it is a strength in relation to the learning goals of the unit. One strength in the assessment plan is it's adherence to the specific learning goals of the unit. While the format of the assessments leaves much to be desired, each assessment aims to assess a specific learning goal laid out in unit plan. 1.b. Identify one weakness in the assessment plan and explain why it is a weakness in relation to the learning goals of the unit. One weakness in the assessment plan is the lack of variability in terms of the format of the assessments and the feedback provided by the teacher. Each assessment is a formal, multiple–choice style test, thereby likely reducing the students' need to use sketches or manipulatives to explain reasoning; with this format, correct answers depend on choosing the correct letter, not the student's proficiency at reasoning and explaining. 2. Suppose you found the following additional assessment in a supplementary resource. Think about how the additional assessment could improve the teacher's assessment plan. Additional Assessment Each student is given a box of plastic coins and bills. The box contains examples of each type of coin and bill. Students will use various coins and bills to demonstrate the sum of two given amounts. In addition, students will use coins and bills to show two different ways to make a given value. Assessment Strategies : Formative And Summative This course addressed different assessment strategies, both formative and summative, to help me evaluate what students have learned in my classroom. The standard paper/pencil test to assess student learning is no longer the norm. There are various ways I can assess a student's learning that will not take a lot of time or planning. Today's advances in technology provide me with a broad range of different strategies. The word "test" is most often associated with the paper/pencil format. I realize that not all assessments in the classroom have to be done through the use of a paper/pencil test. In the real world, many people are assessed in ways that do not require a paper and pencil. For example, I may assess a student's learning by having a conversation with them or how evaluating how well they physically perform a skill. Last fall I offered my students the option to either take a paper/pencil test or create a review board game to demonstrate what they had learned about ancient Egypt. Majority of the students chose the board game because it was something they had not done before. Each board game illustrated the student's individuality and character. I knew I was incorporating a mix of formative and summative tests in my class, however I did not remember those terms. Now I have a better understanding of what formative and summative assessments are. • 48. Evaluation And Evaluation Of Evaluation Participant–oriented approaches to evaluation at present include many different models, but they share one thing in common that they all use stakeholders in the program to assist in conducting the evaluation. However, they may use them to attain different goals and employ in different ways. This mini paper will present three evaluation approaches that involving stakeholders in the evaluation process, which are participatory evaluation, developmental evaluation, and empowerment evaluation. Participatory evaluation Jean King in the Encyclopedia of Evaluation defines participatory evaluation as "an overarching term for any evaluation approach that involves program staff or participants actively in decision making and other activities related to the planning and implementation of evaluation studies" (Fitzpatrick, Sanders, and Worthen, 2011, p.199). However, the type and level of stakeholder involvement will certainly vary between different types, for instance between a local level impact evaluation and an evaluation of policy changes (Guijt, 2014). Therefore, it is essential to consider the purpose of involving stakeholders, and which stakeholders should be involved and how, in order to maximise the effectiveness of the approach. Participatory evaluation are distinguished by four characteristics, as follows: 1. Direct and active participant involvement over time in evaluation planning and implementation. It is stakeholder based or consumer focused. 2. Participants ownership ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

By holding teachers responsible for assessing students, teachers understand they need to provide a higher quality of education. As we see a higher emphasis on assessments and the accountability on teachers. We are now required to provide evidence of student's achievements (Rink & Williams, 2003). We can provide these achievements with hard copies of assessments taken by the students. Earlier in the paper I had mentioned the two assessments commonly used through out schools. Another assessment that is highly used in physical education is authentic assessment, which was promoted by Grant Wiggins (1989). This sort of assessment places students in real world problems which students may use skills and knowledge to solve these issues (Jacalyn Lund, 1997). There are about 15 forms of authentic assessments. These forms are teacher observation, self–observation, checklists, demonstration, peer observation, event task, group projects, student projects, oral discourse, student log and etc. With Mitah (2003) statistical findings we can see that 100% of the teachers in every grade level used teacher ... • 68. What Are The Five Major Elements Of Data Driven... Question 1: What forms of data do you use most often to make instructional or other decisions? As a teacher I use formative and summative data to drive my instruction. As I start with the state standard for the lesson and plan a formative assessment on that skill before a summative assessment. In years prior our school district used the platform of Performance Matter to collect data of that grade level standards three times a year. This type of information set in with Dr. Scott McLeod (20??) essential concepts. "The five major elements of data–driven instruction are: good baseline, measurable instructional goals, frequent formative assessment, professional learning communities, and focused instructional interventions (pp. 1–2, 20??). The assessment gave teachers a baseline, mid–year, and end year focus. When the teacher delved into the platform each question was broken down each standard and concept, thus allowing teacher to provide adequate instructional goal to meet the students' needs. Teachers would also look at past state standardized testing to determine what if any remediation is needed. As a principal, he/she/I needs to understand the data elements to schedule necessary people and aid for the professional development communities. Question 2: Do you feel comfortable with exploring other forms of data? I consider myself very comfortable with exploring different forms of data. • 70. Being Professionals Nurses And Being Educational Role As... As being professionals nurses and being educational role as mentors we have a great responsibility to deal with students who are failing or we could say whose practise are giving a cause of concern. But for a very long time it was a subject which was not very much talked about or it was brushed under the carpet. It is quite understandable that it can be very distressing not only for the student but for the person who makes that decision or judgement. It came to lime light only after Cathering Duffy's research was published in 2004 and we know it had a huge impact in the mentorship and that one of the reason that we are learning, talking about it and even looking at different ways of managing it. When the code published by nursing and midwife council provides standards of performance for nurses and midwifes, one of its key role is to safeguard the health and wellbeing of public. Even though this code of conduct seems relatively straight forward, it is very difficult in implementing those in practise. Sutcliff which is very significant vies shared by Hannah Sutcliff and ii agree with Sutcliff it on this matter because the patient and nurse relationship is very complex and it can be incredibly difficult to measure this However on the other hand we as mentor nurses , we are also are bound by the code of conduct mentoring our students which definitely involves continuously assessing them and giving them a plan of a direction to follow on their learning journey, so that they can ... • 72. A Common Mistake With Companies 'A common mistake with companies is to employ too many metrics and those that are simply too complex to understand' (Sanders, 2014, p.172). Therefore, the ability to choose the right measurements is critical to make improvements that will lead to cost reductions, increased margins and superior performance. From this point, companies need to assess their supply chain by focusing on Key Performance Indicators (KPI). According to the Advanced Performance Institute (n.d.), KPI can be defined as measurements that enable a company to assess how well a business unit, projects or individuals are performing compared to their strategic goals and objectives. In the past, enterprises used to focus purely on financial metrics like the net profit margin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 267 words The first metric used to measure the supply chain's performance is called the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). (Kaplan and Norton, 1996) This model is valuable as it informs the company about the level of efficiency of the supply chain in the following four areas: financial, customer satisfaction, internal processes and learning and growth ability. Moreover, it allows to identify which sector is underperforming and requires more attention. Each of the four dimensions has a specific objective and target that are set by the company and are then matched with a metric which will assess performance in each dimension. For instance, related to the financial aspect, if the company's objective is a 10 percent turnover rise compared to the previous year, it will use the monthly turnover rate to keep track of the progress. The same procedure is to be followed for the three other areas, using different metrics as objectives will be different. The selected measurements must be meaningful to the firm as this model will be used to guide the organisation's strategy on the long– run. A second metric available to assess a supply chain's reliability is the perfect order index. It is defined by Harmon (2014) as 'the percentage of orders meeting delivery performance with ... • 74. The Importance Of Reflective Practices That Provide... Discuss the importance of reflective practices that provide opportunities for mathematics teachers to systematically assess the effects of their practice and experiences. Reflective practices that provide opportunities for mathematics teachers to systematically assess the effects of their practices and experiences are very important. The research I have found supports the use of reflective practices even if it means slowing down the pace of the material covered. One type of reflective practice is formative assessments. The research I have found will show examples of different types of formative assessments, how to implement formative assessments, and the benefits of using formative assessments as a reflective practice. There are many ways to utilize formative assessments and they are very effective in helping teacher's reflect. In article by J Dodge, "What are Formative Assessments and Why Should we Use Them? " Dodge states that formative assessments help students "strive to understand what success looks like and use each assessment to try to understand how to do better the next time." Dodge discusses that it is so important to take the time for formative assessment because it will make the teaching process so much more effective. In my classroom, I have observed a difference in lesson plans that have formative assessment built in and those that do not. The formative assessment can uncover a theme of where the gaps are for all of my learners. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 76. Essay on Evaluate Different Techniques for Sampling Evidence 3.1 Evaluate different techniques for sampling evidence of assessment, including use of technology There are a wide variety of techniques used for sampling the evidence of assessment which are all valuable for different reasons. Below are listed these different techniques a) Direct observation is the best way to evaluate the assessor's ability to carry out a fair and valid assessment. The observation should ideally take place in the work environment and involve the learner carrying out specific tasks as required for inclusion in the learner's portfolio of evidence. The IQA can quickly establish the effect of the assessment on the learner and can get a good impression of the rapport that the assessor has with the learner and the ... This can be problematic within the actual workplace e) Questioning is another method of sampling evidence and will involve the questioning of both the assessor and the candidate. To ensure that the evidence has the necessary validity the questions to the learner should happen in private away from the assessor. The need for the learner to feel that they have the confidence to disclose the true picture of the assessment process is very important. The question sessions can be recorded on the necessary portfolio documentation but can add validity if they are recorded on tape or digitally and used as evidence. f) Underpinning knowledge questions can be sampled effectively as the Awarding Organisation will provide the answers which can be checked and a total can be calculated and compared with what the assessor has marked g) E–portfolios are a useful tool for assessments and can be sampled remotely along with virtual assessment tools such as Skype etc. These can pose problems with validity as the assessor will need to agree the conditions before assessment to ensure that the tasks have been completed by the candidate and that there is no plagiarism which may interfere with the assessment process h) The candidates will generally be allocated an expert witness whilst working on site. It also utilizes a student rating system for allowing students to evaluate instructor teaching and student satisfaction with the course. Research states that students tend to have higher exam scores, can apply the material better and are more apt to pursue the subject subsequently, when they learn from instructors with high ratings. (Benton and Cashin, 2012). Furthermore, improving student satisfaction. The IDEA survey evaluates six different factors commonly found on student rating evaluation forms. Overall, students find that course organization and planning, clarity and communication skills, teacher/student interaction and rapport, course difficulty and workload, grading and examinations, and student self–rated learning are all essential components to improving satisfaction with the instructor and course. (Benton and Cashin, 2012). Traditionally, in the live classroom setting, administrators or peer evaluators could pay a scheduled or unscheduled visit to the classroom and began the evaluation process. The advantage was observing the instructor in real time and the interaction with students. Well, with the recent shift of live classrooms becoming more distance accessible online courses, this process is similar but executed differently. Other elements are considered when ...
