LANDWERKSTÄTTEN
The Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten were founded in 1986 by Karl Ludwig Schweisfurth. Prior
to this, the entrepreneur had sold his meat company Herta, built up by himself, for ethical rea-
sons. Instead of mass livestock production, he has since then dedicated himself to organically
grown stock farming on a former farm estate in the Upper Bavarian town of Glonn. Driver for the
decision was his son Karl, who today manages the organically-oriented enterprise.
