6. Legacy
 In 1999, Una Clarke received the 2nd highest honor
that a civilian can receive from the Government of
Jamaica, the Commander of the Order of Distinction
(C.D.), for distinguished service for Jamaicans and
Caribbean nationals in North America
 In 2001, she became the 1st Caribbean-born woman
to receive the prestigious 2001 Ellis Island Medal of
Honor Award
 Remains an outspoken voice for the preservation of
Caribbean history and culture in NYC
