What's about Barcode?
1. = A technology for storing information to make it readable by machine
Distinction of 1D and 2D barcodes:
The data must be read with visual contact to the tag. The typical 1D barcode
meets us again and again while shopping. A sequence of dashes and free
spaces that communicate information to the cash register using the scanner
inserted.
There are barcodes not only in the form of the simple 1D barcode, but also
as 2D matrices, the so-called "QR codes". The code consists of a square
matrix of black and white squares. These represent the data in binary form.
Technical Key Facts:
- Read errors can occur due to dirt and damage
- Reading range of up to 2 m
- Only single scanning possible
- Bulk reading not possible
- Read rate of up to 90%
- Only 12-15 characters are possible per barcode
- Not re-writable and re-usable
Challenges barcodes:

2. Example:
Imagine being in the retail business is a new large delivery that needs to be completely scanned.
This delivery is from different manufacturers. One uses a 1D barcode for his Italian orange pallets.
The second manufacturer from Germany has supplied various organic foods on a large scale and
documented everything in a 2D QR code. They keep looking around and find that part of the
delivery has broken. Of course, this has to be documented - ideally with a photo.
Unsere Lösung:
Our Solution:
The C4 Red handheld reader would be an optimal
solution for complex, logistical tasks like these.
Equipped with the latest Android 7.0 system, it is
ideal for use in pallet tracking. In addition to a 1D /
2D barcode scanner, it has an 8-megapixel cam-
era that can document the most logical event very
well. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections pro-
cess the scanned data immediately.
