-He is known today as the “first President Bush” since his son became president
over ten years later.
-He is also known as being one of the few people to be elected as President after
being Vice President under Ronald Reagan.

4. Bill Clinton
-Clinton was U.S. President from 1993-2001.
-He is known as being the President over the longest period of peacetime U.S. economic expansion in history.
-He is also known as one of three U.S. Presidents who have been impeached. The others were Andrew Johnson in 1868
and Donald Trump in 2019. The term “impeached” means when a President is on trial for committing a crime.
-Clinton was impeached because he was accused of lying to a grand jury but he was found not guilty and continued his
duties as president.

5. George W. Bush
-Bush was U.S. President from 2001-2009.
-He is known the “second President Bush” since his father was President in the
late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
-President Bush is well known for being President during the terrorist attacks on
New York and Washington on September 11, 2001 and for the “War on Terror”
that he led as a result of the attacks.
