This document presents information on self-repairing roads. It discusses how Professor Nemkumar Bhantia developed roads made of self-healing concrete that repair cracks on their own. The document outlines the types of self-healing concrete that exist, the materials used including fly ash and special fibers, and a case study where this type of road was successfully implemented in a village in India. The self-repairing roads were found to be more durable and sustainable than traditional roads, and could stay intact for 15 years with only half the maintenance costs.
