I had originally considered Python as a programming langauge, due to the breadth of libraries of all
kinds. This led me to consider Theano and Caffe as potential neural network libraries. Caffe is
written in C++, with interfaces for Python and MATLAB. However, it seemed to be targeted mostly
towards deep learning networks, with a focus on image processing, and this made it seem quite
complicated for the type of neural network I would be considering. Theano is written in Python, and
has a large amount of documentation and functionality. If I were to have used
Python, I would have likely used Theano, as it provides a large amount of functionality directly
accessible from Python, whereas to extend
Caffe could require modifications to the C++ source. Ultimately, due to the decision to use Java (a
choice explored further in §[language]
Language below), I decided to use the Neuroph framework. Unfortunately there is less choice of
neural network libraries in Java, but given my prior experience with it, it is an easier language to

Abstract–This paper proposes a method for optimization of the harmonic performance of CHB
inverter under Selective Harmonic Elimination PWM modulation (SHEPWM) control. The
proposed optimization techniques are used to solve the set of non–linear transcendental
trigonometrical equations. SHE were implemented to reduce the THD value. The set of non–linear
transcendental equation is minimized by proposed Big Bang–Big Crunch optimization technique.
The proposed topology is suitable for any number of levels. In this paper third, fifth, seventh and
ninth level harmonics have been eliminated. Simulation work is done in MATLAB software and
experimental results have been presented to validate the theory.

Volume Visualization: Direct Volume Rendering
Volume visualization is the technique of displaying two–dimensional projections of three–
dimensional (volume) data.
Volume rendering techniques of 3D data are classified as direct and indirect. Indirect volume
rendering methods, such as Marching Cubes [1], extract intermediate geometric meshes of iso–
surfaces from volume data and render them using surface rendering methods. Indirect methods are
more suitable for applications where the visualization of surfaces is important. Direct Volume
Rendering (DVR) techniques render the volume data without generating any intermediate
representation; thus facilitating the visualization of the material inside. By specifying a proper
transfer function in the DVR process, voxels are assigned with certain optical properties and
different structures are revealed in the resulted images.
The techniques of DVR are useful for various kinds of scientific visualization, such as medical
diagnosis and life science research. However, structures may not be clearly shown in the resulted
images, due to various reasons like poor lighting and reflection parameters. Thus, the pixel values

Brief Description of the Disaster The Tacoma Narrows Bridge (aka "Galloping Gertie") was opened
to traffic on July 1, 1940 and was built to link Tacoma to the Gig Harbour. The Tacoma Bridge was
built with a light design which made it very sensitive to high winds. It lacked the ability to resist the
winds but rather swayed and vibrated with the wind direction (Britton, n.d.). Due the harmonic

so that I may employ my experience and skills as a leader to build upon this special experience at
Mathematics and address the many challenges that students of unique backgrounds face, from their
admission all the way to commencement, and beyond. Although I have been at Greenwich for under
a year, I have already engaged in a variety of exciting activities here that prepare me for this

and the impact of that change should never be under estimated. Even limited application of

Recycling Should Be Used More Help Save The Planet And...
Not a lot of people know what recycling does or how it helps. Nobody thinks after finishing a can of
soda, eating a bar of chocolate or drinking a water bottle where the container goes. People just
throw them in the bin and that is it, they are taken care off. However, that's not the truth. These
containers end up in our oceans or lands, they are just dumped there with other trash and just dirty
the place. Just because they are out of our sight doesn't mean they are gone. That is why recycling
should be utilized more to help save the planet and other reasons. Recycling is a process of
recovering, reprocessing, and reusing wasted materials that are usually just thrown away. Materials
that are most commonly used for the process are paper, glass, plastic and metals ("Recycling" 1).
Recycling is not a new concept, recycling has been around ever since the 1940's (Cooper 275 –
276). Businesses use it all the time, with the high demand of products they need to make use of what
they already have. Examples like car workshops were the spare parts of a damaged car are put in

In 1979 under Thatcher 's reign, the conservative government published its housing bill promising
with it the Right to buy. A popular demand at the time as people living in social houses aspired to
finally own their home. At the time a blessing, however 30 years later we find that the bill promised
the current generation housing at a discounted price. however, only at the expense of the next. The
bill forbade local authorities from replacing the council houses sold in the right to buy system. Due
to the nature of the right to buy properties, the houses sold were not empty nor was it available,

could not meet. Subsequently due to heavily discounted prices of the houses, used to ensure that

A reasonable profit was made and utilization of the resources was at high levels. During the next
part of the simulation I decided to buy two of the new ovens and the Menu Point customer system,
this increased profits but as the simulation states the two ovens were unnecessary. Looking at this
from a purely profit and loss standpoint I made the right choices by buying the new units and
installing the customer service system Menu Point. These are very big changes and the learning
curve will be steep but the turnaround should keep the learning curve to a relatively low spike as the
new equipment will basically only change the timing for the items to be prepared and delivered as
continual training takes place.
Mario has stepped in and decided to buy only one of the new ovens. The restaurant also decided to
rent the facility next door, Cream Puffs, to broaden the ability to serve customers. The plan for the
counter service pickup window was scrapped and the new business expansion opened. The learning
curve for this was very low as it was an expansion of current processes that only increased the
volume, it did not set any new processes in place that would increase the learning curve. The
