jboutelle: I'm having serious problems with the site being slow due to mongrel timeouts. It seems that the mongrels go "zombie", even though they should be stopped and started again (they are being watched by monit, which should do such things).

Should we move to jruby? Is there any other infrastructure out their that we should try?
