•Hawai‘i state government established HTA
   (www.hawaiitourismauthority.org) as the lead agency
   in creating a vision and overseeing tourism from a statewide
   perspective, which includes marketing, sporting events,
   festivals, and product development
•To market Hawai‘i globally, HTA has contracted with
 marketing organizations in five major market areas: North
 America, Japan, Asia (outside Japan), Europe, and Oceania
 (Australia and New Zealand)
  •HVCB is contracted to market the Islands of Aloha under
    the auspices of HTA in the North America Leisure and Travel
    Trade and in the global market for Corporate Meetings &
    Incentives, making it the largest marketing arm for the State
    of Hawai‘i
HVCB consists of specialized divisions that provide marketing
management services and strategies for the U.S. and Canada,
and for Corporate Meetings & Incentives globally to create sustainable,
diversified, travel destination demand for the Hawaiian Islands
