Sorry about the download -- again, works for me on PC and Mac. About those asking about the number of slides, number is not important (should be an option to remove slide numbers). It takes five minutes or less to click through. That's it. Is it too long? If it seems 'too long' then it is because I did not do a good job crafting the story, etc., not because it has 'too many slides...'

I like the concept, but observe as well that it takes 131 slides for introducing a relatively simple idea. What if you need to convey the resonance behaviour of lanthanium-fluoride crystals?

hi Garr, Loved your presentation but I do have one remark on the “10% oral/30 visual/65% oral and visual trap; which has been discussed and mentioned by many but I refer to the Cisco remarks on the wrongly used numbers related to the cone of learning: http://www.cisco.com/web/strategy/docs/education/Multimodal-Learning-Through-Media.pdf

    Brain Rules for Presenters

From garr, 6 months ago Add as contact

One of the best books I have read this year is Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School. The applications for presentation are many. This is a book review of sorts, though I do not highlight all aspects of the book. I focus on the three rules that relate most directly, though all the rules have lessons. Just a fantastic book.
