Factors That Play Important Roles in the Change of Testimony
Running Head: Human Factors Question Human Factors Question Introduction Walter (2002) has
mentioned that fallibility of witness is an important issue in the American justice system. Honesty of
eyewitnesses during the trial is an important issue that has concerned most in the American justice
system. In the presence of a testimony from an eye witness, jury can judge better as greater impact
of an eye witness is seen on the jury members. Ziskin, Faust and Anderer (2011) have mentioned
that the main responsibility of the jury members is the sorting out of credibility issues and judging
the level of truth presented by the witnesses. Perjury is thought to be a crime as if a witness can lie
in the witness stand; it can have negative effects on the judgments of the jury, on the dignity held by
the trial, and legitimacy of the judicial systems in America. Pezdek (2007) have mentioned that there
are many definitions for perjury but one of the most important statements in these cases is to make
false statement on the witness stand with having an intention of lying. In any judicial system, lying
is a crime, memory loss or not remembering a certain event is not considered a crime. Cohen and
Conway (2008) have argued that the credibility and authenticity of the jury is decided by the jury in
pure secrecy. The final judgments that are given by the jury are given without any disclosure of
specific reasons of the judgments. Thereby from here it can be seen that the fallibility of the

Sleep Is An Important Factor
Both the conscious and unconscious mind revolve around one fundamental aspect of human
function: sleep. While there exists many different theories about the exact function of sleep, it is
scientifically proven that this phenomenon keeps the brain working efficiently. The body possesses
many states of consciousness, both conscious and unconscious. Sleep is the ring leader of the
unconscious mind, and makes sure the body runs healthy while we are blissfully unaware of our
surroundings. Sleep has always been a behavior that integrates itself into everyday life. In fact, we
spend about one third of our life sleeping. Often times people take sleep for granted, but it is
essential in order to feel refreshed. While we are sleeping, the hypothalamus regulates body
functions. (Swann, 2013). Seven to nine hours of sleep is necessary for the brain to restore. Sleep is
an important factor because it affects one's health. The amount of sleep a person gets at night can
affect their academic performance, number of accidents, amount of injuries, and an increase in the
chance of obesity. (Noland et al, 2009). Numerous attributes that interrupt one's sleep are sleeping
disorders, the amount of stress in one's life, alcohol consumption, caffeine intake, homework load,
school hours, jobs, and management skills. (Noland et al, 2009). An average, healthy person falls
asleep in about ten minutes. During this time, a person will begin the pattern of sleep. (Izac, 2006).

Indonesi An Important Factor For Indonesia
1.1. Background and Introduction Lately, the problems faced by the country are increasingly
complex. Starting from the health, environment, socio–cultural to economic and political problems.
Among the issues faced by the countries around the world, the economic issue is the most
significant thing. The economic problem is not limited to the exchange of goods and services only
but also involves economic transaction between one country to another. The increasing complexity
of needs of a country creates none of the country able to meet its own needs. Thus, it is a common
thing for countries to work together to maintain their economic situation, either cooperation between
countries with neighboring countries in the region or countries in other ... Show more content on

As a country with commodity–based export sector, Indonesia exports $724 million of their oil cake,
crude petroleum oils and confidential items to New Zealand. Meanwhile, New Zealand exports $843
million of their milk powder, butter, dairy spreads and frozen beef to Indonesia. 1.1.1. Definition of
diplomatic relations "Diplomatic" comes from the Latin word "diploma" which means charter. In the
broad sense, diplomatic can be interpreted as legitimate and legal use of a state in conducting
foreign policy. In order to establish the relationship between countries, states usually send their
diplomats to work in each other's country (Herde, 2000). The benefit of diplomatic relations is to
support the process of democratization, sustained economic stability, social cohesion, tolerance of
differences, and to encourage respect, protection of human rights within countries (Herde, 2000).
1.1.2. Background and history of the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and New Zealand In
carrying out its foreign relations, Indonesia adheres to the principle of "free and active" foreign
policy. "Free" means that Indonesia is not bound by any ideology or by politics of foreign countries
or by super power countries. While "active" means that Indonesia actively participated in public
order and world peace, with respect for sovereignty of other countries. One of the main purposes of

Who Is The Most Important Factor?
In order for this coup to be successful, there is some information that needs to be known. I will be a
well–known politician. Known for helping the poor and known for knowing how to compromise
with the cartels. Being a known politician in Mexico will not create much controversy when I take
control off Mexico. If the people see that I was selected president, they would not be shocked or
scared of their new leader is.
The most important factor for my preparation is having the ability to find the correct group of
people. It is really hard to find trustful people especially in the cartels because they are dangerous to
everyone. For this reason, I needed to have private meetings with the leaders of the 6 most important
cartels. As Luttwak ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the Cartels have no economic limits they can basically do what ever they want. There first job
they will have is to bribe the Mexican Army that circulates around Los Pinos (Pena Nieto's
Residence). This job would be fairly easy to accomplish especially because the salary an average
Mexican soldier receives is about 6000 pesos per month, which is around 500 dollars. No soldier
would reject this proposal especially because they would be getting a 100 percent increase in their
salary and also because most of them have a family they take care of and the money would be really
helpful for them. Taking advantage of the peoples necessities is not good but in this case in the long
term everyone will benefit from the mafias economic system. The next task they need to do for the
plan to run smoothly is to send some of their people to their underground tunnels. As the preparation
continues I will need to recruit people that have the courage to protest and invade El Estadio Azteca
during, one of the biggest games, Mexico versus United States.
In order to be completely prepared to start the coup I will need to investigate Enrique Pena Nieto,
Mexico's President. This is the president that proposed peace and security for the country, but he has
only made things worse. About a week ago 43 college students disappear after the police arrested
them during a protest. The people are mad at Pena Nieto and a big crowd is asking him to resign and

Hydration Is An Important Factor Of Exercising And Sport
Hydration is an important factor to exercising and sport. Energy drinks as well as water are highly
recommended to replenish your sodium levels. Your body needs to be kept Hydrated. Due to the
sweat that is secreted during exercise, it is important to replace body fluids by drinking a lot of
water and energy drinks such as Gatorade.
The sports nutrition product chosen associated with soccer is Gatorade. Powerade and Gatorade are
drinks that include carbohydrates in the form of sugar that restores energy after and/or during a
workout. The difference between Gatorade and Powerade is the levels and amount of sodium, sugar
and the type of sugar used. The sodium content of Gatorade is roughly 450Milligrams per litre,
however powered is 225 mg/L. This means that Gatorade replaces sodium that is lost when
exercising due to sweating a lot more than Powerade.
When you exercise, your body loses around nine hundred to one thousand four hundred mg/L of
sweat. It is important to have sodium in the blood as it helps keep enough water in the blood.
Gatorade has 6% sugar, however Powerade is 8% sugar. Both of there are in the recommended
category therefore both drinks are adequate.
There has been a lot of research on the different sugars used in sports drinks, however no one has
come to a conclusion as to which sugar or combination of sugars is best. some of the test that have
been done propose that glucose polymers such as maltodextrin are absorbed quicker and use more,

Intelligence Is An Important Factor
Intelligence can determines what classes you take, what jobs you get, your level of education, your
type of lifestyle, your future and etc.... Intelligence is an important factor in our lives but what
exactly is it? Intelligence has many different meanings due to different investigators having
numerous definitions of it. For example, in a 1921 conference, American psychologists Lewis M.
Terman and Edward L. Thorndike contrasted over the definition of intelligence, Terman believed
that intelligence was the ability to think abstractly while Thorndike alleged that intelligence was
learning and the ability to give good responses to questions (Sternberg, 2014). Overtime,
psychologists have been able to come up with a general meaning, which is ... Show more content on

These dispute first initiated in 1865 with an English scientist, Francis Galton who began studying
the correlation on hereditary and success (Behavioral Neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College).
Convinced, based on his evidence, that success and other abilities were mostly based on hereditary
factors, he deduced that "intelligence must be bred and not trained" (Wilderdom, 2005). He then
opposed those who believed in the environmental effects on intelligence (Behavioral Neuroscience
Web Ring Macalester College). For centuries, this debate had no clear conclusion but many theories
and hypothesis. Although both the nature and nurture side has find great amount of evidence, it is
still undecided which side has more effects in one's intelligence. First, the theory about how genes
can affect your intelligence can be tested thanks to the birth of monozygotic or identical twins born
from the same cell (Behavioral neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). Because children share
50% of their genes with each of their parents, this then becomes an interesting area of research
because they could compare monozygotic twins who share 100 percent of their genes. This is good
because they both obtained 50% of their parents ' genes plus they are identical twins so this gives a
great window to research. In

inpatient, Jenna short term goal is a six month detoxification program. Treatment includes mental
status evaluation (MSE), medical detoxification and group and individual counseling (Jefferson
Alcohol & Drug Abuse Center, n.d.). After three months of treatment, a review will be needed to
make sure the Jenna needs are being met. If the treatment is not working, the counselor can revise
the plan and or reevaluate the goals, if accepted by Jenna (Summers, 2015). Although the MSE will
be completed by a physician or psychologist, an assessment should be completed by the counselor.
The assessment or informal MSE should be conducted by the counselor to make sure she is not in
any immediate danger to herself or others. The counselor will look at Jenna's thinking process,
behavior and feelings. This will allow the counselor to understand how Jenna is functioning
cognitively and emotionally (Summers, 2015). During the assessment process, it is important to
obtain informed consent to provide services to Jenna. Informed consent is more than just signing a

Vaccination Is The Most Important Factor

Vaccines Immunization is defined as the process of giving immunity to prevent infectious diseases
by artificial methods (The Hutchinson Unabridged Encyclopedia). Statistics show that vaccines
prevent more than 2.5 million child deaths per year (Davey, et al 5). These deaths typically occur in
children under the age of 5. Immunizations are arguably one of the most important benefits of
modern medicine offered in our country. Vaccines are given to prevent a serious disease or illness.
They are generally only given to healthy people to help boost immunity (Sanford, S52). Without
vaccines diseases such as measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), polio (IPV or OPV), diphtheria
tetanus and acellular pertussis (DTaP), Haemophilus Influenzae type b (HIB) and Hepatitis (HEP A,
B, C) would still be prevalent (Sanford, S61). Within the 21st century, there have been many
positive changes occurring throughout our world. Vaccination is the most important factor in
reduction of deaths or serious diseases in children under the age of 5 (Kennedy, 1). Controversy
remains if whether the risk of side effects from the vaccines, outweigh the risk of contracting the
disease. Vaccinations have proven to be an effective method of preventing serious diseases, which
are the cause of many childhood illnesses that often result in fatality (Kennedy, 1). Understanding
the importance of vaccines is crucial. Vaccines are not only

Water Is An Important Factor That Affects Sorption
Water is an important factor that affects sorption because when there is excess water or when water
drains through soil from sources at the surface, adsorbed pesticide molecules can become
unattached, or desorbed, and wash away to a new location (Rao, 1999). Just as degradation has a
measure in the half–life of a compound, sorption also has a measure in the partition coefficient
(Koc), which is a ratio of pesticide concentration in a soil bound state versus dissolved in soil–water
(Rao, 1999). In fact, "the solubility of a pesticide and its sorption on soil are inversely related; [in
other words], increased solubility results in less sorption" (Rao, 1999). Both sorption and
degradation are effected by soil type and pH, both of which ... Show more content on

Volatilization is a means of major pesticide loss and its rate of loss can often exceeds that of
degradation, runoff, or leaching (van der Werf, 1996). For example, in an Oregon study, soil samples
64km from any agriculture were found to have DDT residues, and in Saskatchewan, Canada, 20% of
2, 4–D iso–octyl ester volatilized in 24 hours (Pimentel, 1995). Once in the atmosphere, pesticide
residues can spread anywhere, even Antarctica (Pimentel, 1995). Large amounts of pesticides and
organic compounds can be transported around the globe in the atmosphere, for example, "in the
atmosphere of the Netherlands, the amounts of
BHC, DDT, and heptachlor were reported to be 4600, 1064, and 190 pg/m 3, respectively"
(Pimentel, 1995).
Topography and Geology Topography and geology affect pesticide movement in as much as
directing or transporting pesticides. Topography is very obvious, for example, if a field is right next
to a river, it is much more likely for runoff to get into the river system, or if a field is in a low area
not very far above the water table, pesticides are very likely to leach into the groundwater. On the
other hand, a field could be high and dry and very far from any river or groundwater, but if it is hilly
that can pose its own problems. As T. Y. Tong and Chen point out, surface runoff is an important
source of non–point pollution (Tong and Chen, 2002). Though it was pointed out by van der Werf
that volatilization is the biggest source of

Obesity : A Very Important Risk Factor
Obesity is a very important risk factor which may cause many fatal diseases such as diabetes, high
blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, and cancer (Martinez). The prevalence of obesity in the United
States has been continuing to rise because society has not been taking care of itself. Many changes
in day to day activity patterns and also diet have been provided for people to follow in order to keep
themselves healthy and in shape. Some still might believe the reason behind obesity is the fact that
the government is not helping them out, or the types of food the government produces, affects the
cause of obesity. Obesity is a matter of personal responsibility, which has nothing to do with the
government. Sugar has been known to be the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, when cereal is being consumed, the sugar contained in the cereal activates the sweet–
taste receptors, which are just part of the taste buds on our tongues (Barclay). This sort of sweetness
allows the taste buds to send signals to the brain stem. From this point on, the signal allows the brain
to activate the reward system. "This reward system allows the sugar to flow through the electrical
and chemical pathways across several different parts of the human brain" (Barclay). After this point,
the consumer is left with the decision as to whether or not to continue eating the sugary substance.
Therefore, the reward system gives off a "feel good drug" symptom which generates the human
brain to have more sweets. Over–consuming sugar can be very harmful towards the body. Even
though, sugar is highly addictive, over activating the reward system allows the body to start a series
of unfortunate matters. These events might cause a person to experience loss of control or cravings
of more sweet substances, and also a contribute to a very high tolerance to sugar ("Why Is Sugar?").
This sort of addiction also causes dopamine to be released, which leads some people to constantly
wanting more of that sugary substance. If people decided on eating too much, the dopamine
response does not allow it to level out. In other words, eating lots of sugary

Technology Is The Single Most Important Factor
Technology: Technology is arguably the single most important factor with regards to the
development of clean energy. There has been significant strides taken in the realm of renewable
energy, particularly in PV solar and wind generator power technology. Many European countries
have taken the lead in PV solar technology particularly Germany which has public, government and
policy support to enable further developments in PV. Moreover additional "Clean" energy
technology is currently in development, one particular example is the ITER (International
Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) currently under construction in Southern France, which is
shaping to be the world's first Fusion generator, which will have a similar power source of that of ...

Steady Development: Is the state at which current energy production technology development is
currently running, whilst there have been significant changes in PV, windmill and other technology
this has been developed over the last 10–20 years.
Slow Development: This is the state that much of PV solar and other renewable energy generation
was from approximately the 1970's up until the turn of the century. A state where the technology
exists, however the incentives for continued research and development are absent.
No Development: Whilst this is an unlikely event that all technological research and development of
Clean energy sources would cease, it is possible if other factors are aligned such as an actively
hostile government, poor policy and public disregard of environmental considerations.
4.2 Environmental Considerations: The success or failure of clean energy for Australia is wholly
dependent on the public's consideration of environmental damage. There has been no shortage of
debate from proponents of Environmental concerns and others who do not believe there is any
problems or concerns facing our environmental future. Furthermore the environmental consideration
of the public often dictates the policy direction and level of government support allocated to the
proposition of clean energy.

Employees Are The Most Important Factor Of Production
Employees are indeed a crucial part of any organization and are often referred to by economists as
the most important factor of production. For many years, employers have been faced with the issue
of retention and are fairly cautious when it comes to managing and retaining their workforce.
Included in this is having the best possible employees or talent on your team working efficiently to
ensure the business is stable and successful. As it is said "an organization can only be as successful
as the people working with them". Ensuring you have the proper team is crucial but if there is any
downfall to an individual employee this can slow production or lower morale amongst your
employees. There are three different broad groups employees can be categorized within depending
on their contribution within the organization. These three broad groups are the engaged employees,
the non–engaged employees, and also the actively disengaged employees. Engaged employees are
the desirables for any organization as these employees are self motivated and want better for the
organization and take pride and passion into their work. They often put their best foot forward and
want to move the organization in the right direction. Non–engaged employees are those employees
who are disconnected from their employers who tend to just do the bare minimum and have minimal
pride in their work. These can be identified as those employees who simply show up to get a check
and leave. The final group, actively

Generation Reserve Is An Important Factor In Generation
Generation reserve is an important factor in generation planning or operating process, as discussed
in the previous chapter, subsection 3.1. Traditionally, fixed percentage of the peak load is used as a
reserve for planning purpose and another one for operating purpose. On solar generation system,
both of generation and load are variable. This behavior is extremely confusing in appropriate reserve
estimation. Solar PV power changes during the day, season and month. Moreover, clouds affects
badly on PV generated power, as discussed in section 2. This part discusses new techniques of
generation reserve estimation depending on a new reliability index called Clouds Effect On Load

Identity Theft Is An Important Factor
Identity theft is the deliberate use of someone else 's identity, usually as a method to gain a financial
advantage or obtain credit and other benefits in the other person 's name, and perhaps to the other
person 's disadvantage or loss. The person whose identity has been assumed may suffer adverse
consequences if they are held responsible for the perpetrator 's actions. Identity theft occurs when
someone uses another 's personally identifying information, like their name, identifying number, or
credit card number, without their permission, to commit fraud or other crimes.
When people think of identity theft, more often than not they assume that it only happens to wealthy
people. Who would bother stealing the identity of a college student who can barely make ends meet?
The harsh reality of the matter is that anyone can be a victim. College students are particularly
vulnerable, because they are most likely to be careless or unaware where their credit reports are
concerned. The fact that they don't expect to be targeted by identity thieves is an important factor.
The more you know, the more you are able to prevent identity theft from happening to you.
According to the US Federal Trade Commission, majority of the reports they receive on identity
theft were filed by victims aged 20 to 29.
Take note of these eight types of identity theft and protect yourself.

Microfinance : An Emerging Important Financial Factor
Microfinance is an emerging important financial factor which supply the basic financial services to
poor and low–income households and micro–enterprises. Microfinance comprises several tools such
as savings, credit, leasing, insurance and cash transfers. It 's role is to improve financial access of the
poor and small economic players and thus help them to build assets, which means a contribution to
poverty alleviation. These services are provided by a variety of institution, which can be divided into
credit and saving cooperatives and association, banks, NGOs and non–financial and informal
sources. . Providing financial services helps rural households to plan and manage consumption and
investments, able deal with risks and improve their living conditions, health and education by
smoothing household cash flow and increasing disposable family income. This paper presents an

The Implementation And Sustenance Of Jit
In the implementation and sustenance of JIT, psychological factors also play a vital role. Little
consideration of the complexities involved in psychological pattern of employees and suppliers
would reveal a vast field hitherto explored in the manufacturing environment. Every manufacturing
practice has two elements; one is the technical element and other is the human element. In this
paper, we attempt to understand the criticalities involved in the human element of the JIT practice.
For this purpose, we researched upon the various factors affecting the human element and present
the information in the following order. Firstly, we list down the factors or characteristics that would
enable JIT to be successfully implemented and sustained. Secondly, we attempt to gain in depth
understanding these factors thru' the research work conducted by work psychologist and how these
factors behave in molding the implementation. Thirdly, we present how these factors are handled in
industries and what are the possible solutions presented by academic and industries entities to tackle
the challenges posed by these factors and its relations.
Academic research not only concentrated on the traditional cross–cultural psychology like
leadership, motivation, work values etc. but also staffing, performance management and employee
health and safety. These research will better able to layout practices that can work in various cultural
contexts. The psychological impact on manufacturing practices can be

Tango : What Is Important Factors That Made It Happen?
Tango
Tango is known as one of the most popular dances in the world from its music, its rhythm to its
complex steps. It is performed everywhere from the ballrooms in Europe, on the streets in
Argentina, in the dancing contests, to public places such as parks. Tango originated in Argentina and
was the mix of many type of dances, cultures, and types of music. The evolution of this dance still
remains as a thrilling story; however, the popularity of this dance around the world is obvious. In
this paper, I want to investigate some questions: one is Why this kind of dance was popular and
became one of the favorite dances of those who love dancing all over the world. The other is What
is the mystery of its developing process that create the Tango today. To answer these questions, we
should follow its history and discover which important factors that made it happen.
According to some researchers, Tango originate in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back to the middle of
19th century, many immigrant workers, mostly all men, from Europe countries such as Italy, France,
Germany, and from Africa went to the port city Buenos Aires to look for a better job, to find an
opportunity to fulfill their dreams, or just simply, as travelers. They brought with them their cultures,
their belonging, their lost love, their hopes, and their loneliness as well. All of those factors mix
together to create an atmosphere that contribute to the emergence of Tango. Mixing of elements

The Is The Most Important Factor Of A Movement
Last but not least, supporters of BLM should be brought to discussion, as they are the most
important factor of a movement. It is undeniable that BLM has received considerable support from a
lot of celebrities. One of them, an American actor and film producer, Samuel L. Jackson has
challenged the celebrities to go one step further as he posted a video on his public Facebook page
asking famous figures who took the Ice Bucket Challenge over the summer to join the protest: "All
you celebrities out there who poured ice water on your head, here 's a chance to do something else. I
challenge all of you to sing the "We ain 't gonna stop, till people are free" song." BLM 's list of
celebrated supporters continue with Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Russell Simmons, John Legend,
Chrissy Teigen, Marco Rubio, ... The fact that celebrities can drive attention to certain things is
undebatable. Hence, receiving support from celebrities helps BLM become more and more
influential. However, it is true that BLM has failed to receive it from the most important people.
Although BLM tries to speak out for black community, almost all of the cases against which they
protest are males. That is as well one of the reasons that lead to the creation of "Say Her Name", a
movement fighting for black women. They have been killed, beaten, or sexually assaulted but their
cases have not received as much attention as those of unarmed black men killed by police in recent
years. Eventually, black women are the people

Education Is An Important Factor
In our society today, education has become an important factor in our live. The ways we have
increasingly progressed over the many years have influenced our perspectives of what education
really is. Although education is thought to mean acquiring knowledge obtained from textbooks and
school, I believe that it is one of a broader sense; allowing not only students, but everyone to expand
their experiences, thus creating what Spayde and Kagen would consider "real world" education. In
my personal point of view, I have found myself being engrained the ideology of education being all
about the 4.0 grade at school, taking the Advanced Placement Classes, and being accepted to the
best Ivy League schools. Growing up, society as well as my parents ... Show more content on

A huge part of education is learning by the experiences we acquire outside of our classes. It becomes
simplified into the informal education we get from other. As Hart has described, students are
struggling with the world that they live in today, for our education system is not preparing students
for the outside world, rather, it focuses on specific areas that society believes to be important. This
leads to a lack of general knowledge, thus creating students educated in some sense, but ignorant in
the other. Newman believes that the need for a diverse field in education, allows students to be
surrounded by different interests; learning and assisting one another. Students are able to understand
the material without fully going in depth with the information, and by doing so; they are able to
grow and form their own opinions. By allowing such education and providing a well–balanced
education, people are able to become more knowledgeable and well– rounded. The primary purpose
of any education is to produce intellectual people, one who are understanding, and opinionated
about the world they live in. Similar in thought to Newman, Spayde believes the education doesn't
thoroughly allow you to understand the concepts of life. He believes that there are many other
factors out in the world where you can pick up such knowledge along the way. It is the people that
you surround yourself with that allow you to become much more

Who Is The Most Important Factor?
Imagine the differences in the answers you would hear if you asked a child and an elderly person:
"What is the most important factor in your life?" We all have different ideas on what motivates us to
do what we do in our lives. Many people consider money, fame, or power to be the most important
factor that determines how successful we are in our lives due to the social status that these things
will give us in our lives. However, there are many other factors in our lives that are arguably much
more important than these three factors. The two most important factors, in my opinion, are
happiness and peace. Saint Francis had this realization when he was a young adult. His new peace–
filled "Franciscan perspective" of determining success in our lives was established as a result. Using
connections from Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si' and Evangelli Gaudium, as well as Francis's
own principles of living like Jesus Christ, it is clear that working at the Dorothy Day Center
(D.D.C.) falls under this "Franciscan perspective" of success and emulates Saint Francis of Assisi in
many ways.
In order to accomplish ten hours of community service, I worked at the Dorothy Day Center. My
main jobs included folding and sorting clothes, cleaning around the Dorothy Day Center, as well as
stocking the food pantry. I worked with six different individuals during the two separate days in
which I donated my time and I also worked with Brother Martin Zatsick. He is the director of the

Cystic Fibrosis: An Important Factor In A Person's Body
Cystic fibrosis is inherited when a child receives two recessive genes for the disease. It is a disease
that affects the secretory glands. Secretory glands are the glands in a person's body that produces
mucus and sweat. Mucus is a very important factor in a person's body. Mucus lines multiple organs
and protects them from infection while also keeping them from becoming too dry. When a person
has cystic fibrosis, their mucus becomes thick and can block certain air ways in their body. This
includes the airways that carry air in and out of a person's lungs. The thick mucus around a person's
lungs can increase the risk of lung infection over time because bacteria likes to grow in those
conditions. If the infections go untreated for long

Employee Engagement : An Important Factor Of Internal...
Introduction Mishra and Boynton study finds that employee engagement is an important factor of
internal communication. Nowadays, most organizations and their managers are looking for bridges
to build trust between employees and executives. Executives and managers think employee
engagement is top priority for them to build mutual trust. Engagement boosts deep relationship
between management and employees. Internal communication is important for enhancing a culture
of transparency between top management and employees in any organizations. Definitely,
employees are happy working in an environment where they trust the people, have pride in what
they do, and enjoy the people they work with. Since employees think positively in organization,
which is more productive, eventually both management and employees benefit from having great
compensation. Good environment is based on open communication, which brings out employee's
and management's voice together so it is good enough to resolve any kinds of issues. When
organizations take care of their employees, then employees trust their management's honesty,
openness, support, and willingness to listen to the employees' voice. Strong internal communication
works as a bridge for trust and commitment with employees and management, which can in turn
lead to employees' engagement. This honest and transparent internal communication is best received
directly from managers to their employees.
This study shows the relationship between internal

Was Humanism Really Important Factor In The Renaissance?
Was humanism really a factor in the Renaissance? Humanism is a outlook or a system that
understands the importance of humans. Humanism was important during the Renaissance because it
was a time when people changed how they thought about humanity, art and architecture. Humanism
was expressed in the Renaissance through the works of "The Last Supper", Romeo and Juliet, and
Château de Fontainebleau.
In the painting "The Last Supper" There is religious people sitting at a table eating and they are
discussing things. In the painting the people are wearing old fashioned clothes. The people are in a
room and they are in groups. In the middle of a group there is a man that it sitting there with his
arms open and all the other people are a pointing fingers or they have there hands down.In the
painting the humanism characteristics that they are displaying is sociability. I know this because the

this painting is art. I know this because this is a painting that was created by Leonardo da Vinci in

the retail sector. They have recently put a five year ban on any new hypermarkets being build in the

The Two Most Important Underlying Factors Of Informalisation
2.3. Principles of Informalisation
The two most important underlying factors of informalisation are 'exit' and 'exclusion'. They help us
determine the nature and root of informality across various countries. Informality due to Exclusion
is stringent, and costly regulations and also lack of opportunities to work in the formal sector for a
certain section of the society, force labourers to see informal sector as the only option left and they
work in substandard conditions for lower wages. On the other hand, informality arising out of Exit is
mainly due to poor benefits of being formally employed, lack of trust amongst public institutions
and preference of individual for self employment. Exit in particular includes the young and elderly

They measured informal sector based on migration unemployment and difference in development in
the two sectors of the economy. This model further explains that the urban–rural migration
phenomenon is due to difference between the urban–rural income expectations. High volume of
urban–rural migration is taking place in developing countries and less developed countries, leading
to high level of unemployment in urban areas; such areas are study areas for this model. This model
states that out migrants move to urban areas expecting higher incomes however their main source of
the income is retained in rural areas i.e. agricultural land. But other literature suggests that these
migrants settle in urban areas and are employed in the urban sector. The model was extensively
followed in the 1960's, but with the advent of globalisation it became an equally urban phenomenon.
The main reason behind this is that globalisation along with technological advancement made it easy
for people to engage in the informal sector. Hence people increasingly entered the informal sector in
urban areas. Most of them due to low skills and no or little education acquired casual jobs with
wages less than the minimum

Important Factors For Life?

Important Factors Needed in Life Respect, responsibility, and effort are all common factors you
need to be successful in life. If you don't respect others there is a great chance that you won't be
successful in your work. You need to be responsible because if you are then you also won't be
successful in your work or in school or even anything you try to do. Always put in effort towards
what you need and want to do in life or how do you expect yourself to be successful? I know that I
wouldn't expect myself to be successful without putting in some effort. Now lets figure out what
each word means and how they are a part of everyday life. Then we will see how they are different

Responsibility is the same everywhere you go. People may do things to be responsible in different
ways but it is all the same concept and you need to be strict with responsibility or you won't go far
in life. Responsibilities that you have in school are probably a little different in each class that you
go to. Some teachers are really laid back and chill but then you've got the teachers that are like nazis
about everything. Either way though you need to be responsible and do your assignments that they
give to you. High School rules are a little less strict than college rules unless you are taking college
preparation classes. For an example most high school classes accept late work and let students
retake test but when you get into college they don't accept late work and don't allow you to retake
tests. So if you aren't responsible and do your work on time or study for an important test than you
probably won't get all that far in life. You will never learn to be on time with things. Effort is a
vigorous or determined attempt. Effort is all on you. No one can put in the effort for you. They could
put in effort to help you but if you don't have your own effort you can't get anywhere successful.
The amount of effort you put into your work determines how far and how successful you get in life.
Effort in schools is shown by studying for important tests, how hard you try on your homework, or
even how hard you try to get help when

Why The Creative Accounting Is Important Factors Essay
Financial reports are one of the most important factors on evaluating whether an organisation has
met its objectives and goals, and also has satisfied its directors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
Although the relevant accounting and financial standards, regulations, and frameworks are
established for the fair and reliable presentation of financial reports, there are still fraud issues from
manipulating financial information. Due to the recent global economic crisis, corporates tend to use
creative accounting to maximise their profit and financial performance, and it seems to result in
some serious financial frauds. A lot of questions come up with this creative accounting technique as
well as the relation to corporate governance and frauds. It obviously has some negative results from
inappropriate use of creative accounting but, on the other hand, it could be useful to present a
company's interests better within laws and regulations. This essay will elaborate what the creative
accounting is, why companies use this accounting method, both positive and negative views of using
creative accounting with appropriate examples and cases, and possible recommendations to improve
the accounting standards and systems. Firstly the definition of creative accounting and how
corporate governance and fraud are connected to creative accounting should be discussed. Creative
accounting defines that a company uses the accounting knowledge to distort the financial figures but

How Important Are The External Factors Influence Attraction?
For as long as human beings have inhabited the Earth, as a specie, they have discovered a way to
produce offspring, which led to the expansion and survival of the entire species. That being said,
over the course of history, researchers in multiple fields have attempted to study this evolutionary
phenomenon, but social psychologist became the main contributors that brought awareness to the
topic of attraction and how it influenced early humans to select certain individuals as their mate.
Human attraction has also become a sensitive topic over the course of history due to the fact that in
earlier times, attraction was used just as a method to produce offspring, however, nowadays,
attraction is used to create relationships that are meant to last. In other words, attraction is no longer
just about producing offspring, but to find the perfect mate that will become a lifetime companion.
Furthermore, literature that has been written on the subject has mainly focused on the attraction that
form heterosexual romantic relationships. However, this Additionally, an important ... Show more

comes to social interaction. According to psychologists, there are two different types of similarity,

perceived similarity has been defined as "the degree to which one believes oneself similar to

NYUAD Community Events As an Observational Platform for a Complex System
"It was supposed to be a collaboration among schools, NYUAD and the Sorbonne Abu Dhabi,
together for a night of shared poetry on March 13. The event was primarily advertised on Facebook
and of both schools' populations, 205 people RSVP'd. But when the night arrived, NYUAD
sophomore Zahida Rahemtulla found herself with only one other companion boarding the bus for
the event." At NYUAD, students have the chance to join in various events within the university as
well around the city of Abu Dhabi. In fact, NYUAD has created a Student Portal, a website designed
to list these events and update students, faculty and stuff of the different locations and dates of such
events. In this sense, NYUADers are literally "one click away from being part of a certain meeting
or event. However, over the last few years there have been a noticeable culture of overcommitting
and then not attending" . Most of the organized events reach the student population with loud
Facebook campaigns and tempting slogans such as "free", yet people still fail to show up when they
need to. Could it be that students fail to attend these meetings due to the overwhelming publicity? It
is quite understandable that freshmen of all classmen are the ones who over commit; they are simply
excited to part of the university life. As freshmen adapt to college routine, they start to realize what

Important Factors To Build A Monument Analysis
How can one consider size, materials, and location of equal importance in the creation of
monument, when the location determines how many people will view the monument and whether
the monument is respectful to the event or person it represents? Although it is important to consider
the materials and size when a monument will be created to memorialize a person or event, the most
important factor to be considered in the creation of a memorial is the location because in order for a
monument to be seen, it must be placed in an adequate location.
The most important factor in the creation of a monument is the location. The location is essential in

In order to build a monument, materials are needed and the size needs to be determined to figure out
the amount of materials needed. Source G claims that materials are an important factor to consider
in the creation of a monument. Maya Lin, the designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in
Washington, D.C put an emphasis on materials in the creation of the monument. Lin used black
granite to make the monument reflective and peaceful. The mirrored effect made the park look
doubled in size, which made it appear as though there were two worlds to resemble the unity
between the nation's past and present. The use of carefully chosen materials and the illusion of size
made the Vietnam Veterans Memorial convey an important message. Although I grant that materials
and size are important factors to be considered in the creation of a monument, I still maintain that
location is the most important factor to be considered in the creation of a monument. The Vietnam
Veterans Memorial was placed in a well–known beautiful park surrounded by trees, which is why
many people were able to view and admire the monument. The location of the monument set its
shape. The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Memorial were already at that location, which were
both important aspects of the Vietnam Veterans Monument. Two walls of the Vietnam Veterans
Memorial were placed so one pointed at the Lincoln Memorial and the other was pointed at the
Washington Memorial. The link between these two strong symbols conveyed the message of unity
between the nation's past and present. The careful considerations about the monuments location
allowed the monument to convey an important message that is viewed and admired by many. If the
monument was placed in an obscure non–picturesque location, no one would be able marvel over

Most Important Critical Factors
This semester in CPD VI, I sat down and determined what my critical factors are to help me better
find the best fit for me in terms of where I want to work after graduation. A little over a year ago in
CPD III I made a list of the top ten critical factors like I did this year. After comparing the two lists
from CPD III and CPD IV side by side I realized that a majority of the critical factors were the
same. The main difference that I seen was mostly the order of the critical factors from most
important to lest important. At this stage of my career it is important for me to determine my critical
factors and choose rotation sites that are best suited for me so that I can get the most out of my
experiences. In CPD III my most important critical factors in the order from most important to least
important were: job security, opportunity for leadership development, income, benefits, working
with a team, business management, helping people, variety of daily activities, work schedule, and
finally entrepreneurial opportunities. In CPD VI my most important critical factors in the order from

How Data Is Important Factor For Business Decisions
Today, our society is bombarded by data driven business society. Data are facts and statistics
collected together for reference and analysis. It can also be measurements, values, words,
observations or even descriptions. Data has a lot of use. Companies can use data to gather
information on how things work. It can even be used to differentiate things and find their
similarities. Data is basically a tool for research purposes. Data became one of the prominent assets
of the today's business industry. From the traditional manual surveys and online surveys up to
different types of data gathering methods, big companies are spending millions and millions of

That is when gathering data comes in to disrupt that unwise business decision and help managers
make better decisions based on the data they gathered. One example of how data is used to help
manage an organization is how energy drink company determined which type of people should they
focused on targeting for their products. A manager can determined who usually drinks their product
by doing surveys. Of course, most of people would assume that people who play sports are the ones
they should be focused on, but how about the others like people who late overnight like security
guards and call center agents; college students who do their homework late at night; people working
on a 24–hour retail store or just workaholic guy who stays overnight working on his business
presentation. Market segmentation is very important for businesses and data plays a big role on how
they can determine their potential consumers. They are potential target, although not as big as
athletes, but no one knows their estimate number unless we do some research and that is when data
gathering methods like surveys kicks in. The manager can form a group of survey makers to do
some surveys to determine which type people, age, gender, race and occupation drinks energy
drinks. After they gathered the data and laid down the details and convert it to a business language,

Money Plays An Important Factor
Money plays an important factor in schools' decisions for cutting or reducing fine arts. Cutting fine
arts saves money that could be used on academically stimulating programs and bettering Core
subject areas. An Arizona newspaper reported that a school district was able to save one and a half
million dollars when they completely cut their fine arts program (Faller). Fine arts takes up a large
portion of schools' budgets, and schools who cut it in its entirety would be able to save that money
and set it aside for academic programs with more measurable results. Alternatively, schools also
reduce their fine arts programs and make it more of an extracurricular activity. This continues the
school's involvement and sponsorship for the arts, but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Educators, administrators, and the public might also argue to increase fine arts funding, but only to
the schools who are struggling to meet Core standards, as well as other educational requirements. In
school facilities where there are large demographics of Hispanics and African–Americans, students
are less likely to have the opportunity to take art classes (Holcomb). Since these students won't
receive as equal of an education as their peers, then something needs to intervene and equalize their
opportunities with those who have access to these programs. Historically speaking, schools with
high concentrations of minorities have generally had limited access to fine arts classes (Holcomb).
This has been an ongoing problem, and an increase of funding to these schools may be the solution
to the problem. According to a study in "Social Science Quarterly", socioeconomic and ethnicity are
factors in music participation in children; whites and Asians from higher socioeconomic
backgrounds are more likely to play an instrument than African–Americans or Hispanics
(Holcomb). Increasing the funding for struggling schools may seem like one of the best solutions,
but what happens to the schools with established and succeeding arts programs? Do they receive an
increase of funding too? Chances are no, because these schools will statistically have higher
standardized test scores than the struggling schools.

Factors That Play Important Roles In The Change Of Testimony

  • 1. Factors That Play Important Roles in the Change of Testimony Running Head: Human Factors Question Human Factors Question Introduction Walter (2002) has mentioned that fallibility of witness is an important issue in the American justice system. Honesty of eyewitnesses during the trial is an important issue that has concerned most in the American justice system. In the presence of a testimony from an eye witness, jury can judge better as greater impact of an eye witness is seen on the jury members. Ziskin, Faust and Anderer (2011) have mentioned that the main responsibility of the jury members is the sorting out of credibility issues and judging the level of truth presented by the witnesses. Perjury is thought to be a crime as if a witness can lie in the witness stand; it can have negative effects on the judgments of the jury, on the dignity held by the trial, and legitimacy of the judicial systems in America. Pezdek (2007) have mentioned that there are many definitions for perjury but one of the most important statements in these cases is to make false statement on the witness stand with having an intention of lying. In any judicial system, lying is a crime, memory loss or not remembering a certain event is not considered a crime. Cohen and Conway (2008) have argued that the credibility and authenticity of the jury is decided by the jury in pure secrecy. The final judgments that are given by the jury are given without any disclosure of specific reasons of the judgments. Thereby from here it can be seen that the fallibility of the ... • 3. Sleep Is An Important Factor Both the conscious and unconscious mind revolve around one fundamental aspect of human function: sleep. While there exists many different theories about the exact function of sleep, it is scientifically proven that this phenomenon keeps the brain working efficiently. The body possesses many states of consciousness, both conscious and unconscious. Sleep is the ring leader of the unconscious mind, and makes sure the body runs healthy while we are blissfully unaware of our surroundings. Sleep has always been a behavior that integrates itself into everyday life. In fact, we spend about one third of our life sleeping. Often times people take sleep for granted, but it is essential in order to feel refreshed. While we are sleeping, the hypothalamus regulates body functions. (Swann, 2013). Seven to nine hours of sleep is necessary for the brain to restore. Sleep is an important factor because it affects one's health. The amount of sleep a person gets at night can affect their academic performance, number of accidents, amount of injuries, and an increase in the chance of obesity. (Noland et al, 2009). Numerous attributes that interrupt one's sleep are sleeping disorders, the amount of stress in one's life, alcohol consumption, caffeine intake, homework load, school hours, jobs, and management skills. (Noland et al, 2009). An average, healthy person falls asleep in about ten minutes. During this time, a person will begin the pattern of sleep. (Izac, 2006). A sleep cycle consists of ... • 5. Indonesi An Important Factor For Indonesia 1.1. Background and Introduction Lately, the problems faced by the country are increasingly complex. Starting from the health, environment, socio–cultural to economic and political problems. Among the issues faced by the countries around the world, the economic issue is the most significant thing. The economic problem is not limited to the exchange of goods and services only but also involves economic transaction between one country to another. The increasing complexity of needs of a country creates none of the country able to meet its own needs. Thus, it is a common thing for countries to work together to maintain their economic situation, either cooperation between countries with neighboring countries in the region or countries in other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a country with commodity–based export sector, Indonesia exports $724 million of their oil cake, crude petroleum oils and confidential items to New Zealand. Meanwhile, New Zealand exports $843 million of their milk powder, butter, dairy spreads and frozen beef to Indonesia. 1.1.1. Definition of diplomatic relations "Diplomatic" comes from the Latin word "diploma" which means charter. In the broad sense, diplomatic can be interpreted as legitimate and legal use of a state in conducting foreign policy. In order to establish the relationship between countries, states usually send their diplomats to work in each other's country (Herde, 2000). The benefit of diplomatic relations is to support the process of democratization, sustained economic stability, social cohesion, tolerance of differences, and to encourage respect, protection of human rights within countries (Herde, 2000). 1.1.2. Background and history of the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and New Zealand In carrying out its foreign relations, Indonesia adheres to the principle of "free and active" foreign policy. "Free" means that Indonesia is not bound by any ideology or by politics of foreign countries or by super power countries. While "active" means that Indonesia actively participated in public order and world peace, with respect for sovereignty of other countries. One of the main purposes of Indonesia ... • 7. Who Is The Most Important Factor? In order for this coup to be successful, there is some information that needs to be known. I will be a well–known politician. Known for helping the poor and known for knowing how to compromise with the cartels. Being a known politician in Mexico will not create much controversy when I take control off Mexico. If the people see that I was selected president, they would not be shocked or scared of their new leader is. The most important factor for my preparation is having the ability to find the correct group of people. It is really hard to find trustful people especially in the cartels because they are dangerous to everyone. For this reason, I needed to have private meetings with the leaders of the 6 most important cartels. As Luttwak ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since the Cartels have no economic limits they can basically do what ever they want. There first job they will have is to bribe the Mexican Army that circulates around Los Pinos (Pena Nieto's Residence). This job would be fairly easy to accomplish especially because the salary an average Mexican soldier receives is about 6000 pesos per month, which is around 500 dollars. No soldier would reject this proposal especially because they would be getting a 100 percent increase in their salary and also because most of them have a family they take care of and the money would be really helpful for them. Taking advantage of the peoples necessities is not good but in this case in the long term everyone will benefit from the mafias economic system. The next task they need to do for the plan to run smoothly is to send some of their people to their underground tunnels. As the preparation continues I will need to recruit people that have the courage to protest and invade El Estadio Azteca during, one of the biggest games, Mexico versus United States. In order to be completely prepared to start the coup I will need to investigate Enrique Pena Nieto, Mexico's President. This is the president that proposed peace and security for the country, but he has only made things worse. About a week ago 43 college students disappear after the police arrested them during a protest. The people are mad at Pena Nieto and a big crowd is asking him to resign and leave his ... • 9. Hydration Is An Important Factor Of Exercising And Sport Hydration is an important factor to exercising and sport. Energy drinks as well as water are highly recommended to replenish your sodium levels. Your body needs to be kept Hydrated. Due to the sweat that is secreted during exercise, it is important to replace body fluids by drinking a lot of water and energy drinks such as Gatorade. The sports nutrition product chosen associated with soccer is Gatorade. Powerade and Gatorade are drinks that include carbohydrates in the form of sugar that restores energy after and/or during a workout. The difference between Gatorade and Powerade is the levels and amount of sodium, sugar and the type of sugar used. The sodium content of Gatorade is roughly 450Milligrams per litre, however powered is 225 mg/L. This means that Gatorade replaces sodium that is lost when exercising due to sweating a lot more than Powerade. When you exercise, your body loses around nine hundred to one thousand four hundred mg/L of sweat. It is important to have sodium in the blood as it helps keep enough water in the blood. Gatorade has 6% sugar, however Powerade is 8% sugar. Both of there are in the recommended category therefore both drinks are adequate. There has been a lot of research on the different sugars used in sports drinks, however no one has come to a conclusion as to which sugar or combination of sugars is best. some of the test that have been done propose that glucose polymers such as maltodextrin are absorbed quicker and use more, than ... Intelligence is an important factor in our lives but what exactly is it? Intelligence has many different meanings due to different investigators having numerous definitions of it. For example, in a 1921 conference, American psychologists Lewis M. Terman and Edward L. Thorndike contrasted over the definition of intelligence, Terman believed that intelligence was the ability to think abstractly while Thorndike alleged that intelligence was learning and the ability to give good responses to questions (Sternberg, 2014). Overtime, psychologists have been able to come up with a general meaning, which is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These dispute first initiated in 1865 with an English scientist, Francis Galton who began studying the correlation on hereditary and success (Behavioral Neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). Convinced, based on his evidence, that success and other abilities were mostly based on hereditary factors, he deduced that "intelligence must be bred and not trained" (Wilderdom, 2005). He then opposed those who believed in the environmental effects on intelligence (Behavioral Neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). For centuries, this debate had no clear conclusion but many theories and hypothesis. Although both the nature and nurture side has find great amount of evidence, it is still undecided which side has more effects in one's intelligence. First, the theory about how genes can affect your intelligence can be tested thanks to the birth of monozygotic or identical twins born from the same cell (Behavioral neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). Because children share 50% of their genes with each of their parents, this then becomes an interesting area of research because they could compare monozygotic twins who share 100 percent of their genes. This is good because they both obtained 50% of their parents ' genes plus they are identical twins so this gives a great window to research. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Being able to make improvement towards personal meaningful goals is one of the main motivations for clients in treatment programs and taking steps to be able to manage their addictions more effectively. Goal setting should be person–centered and aimed at helping clients move forward in recovery. Jenna Love is a 38 year old African American female who is currently unemployed. Jenna worked for Sentry Bank as a teller for the last 2 years before she was terminated. She has never been married and has no children. Treatment includes mental status evaluation (MSE), medical detoxification and group and individual counseling (Jefferson Alcohol & Drug Abuse Center, n.d.). After three months of treatment, a review will be needed to make sure the Jenna needs are being met. If the treatment is not working, the counselor can revise the plan and or reevaluate the goals, if accepted by Jenna (Summers, 2015). Although the MSE will be completed by a physician or psychologist, an assessment should be completed by the counselor. The assessment or informal MSE should be conducted by the counselor to make sure she is not in any immediate danger to herself or others. The counselor will look at Jenna's thinking process, behavior and feelings. This will allow the counselor to understand how Jenna is functioning cognitively and emotionally (Summers, 2015). • 15. Vaccination Is The Most Important Factor Taylor Gowen Professor Cynthia Walton College Comp I 04 November 2014 Vaccines Immunization is defined as the process of giving immunity to prevent infectious diseases by artificial methods (The Hutchinson Unabridged Encyclopedia). Statistics show that vaccines prevent more than 2.5 million child deaths per year (Davey, et al 5). These deaths typically occur in children under the age of 5. Immunizations are arguably one of the most important benefits of modern medicine offered in our country. Vaccines are given to prevent a serious disease or illness. They are generally only given to healthy people to help boost immunity (Sanford, S52). Without vaccines diseases such as measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), polio (IPV or OPV), diphtheria tetanus and acellular pertussis (DTaP), Haemophilus Influenzae type b (HIB) and Hepatitis (HEP A, B, C) would still be prevalent (Sanford, S61). Within the 21st century, there have been many positive changes occurring throughout our world. Vaccination is the most important factor in reduction of deaths or serious diseases in children under the age of 5 (Kennedy, 1). Controversy remains if whether the risk of side effects from the vaccines, outweigh the risk of contracting the disease. Vaccinations have proven to be an effective method of preventing serious diseases, which are the cause of many childhood illnesses that often result in fatality (Kennedy, 1). Understanding the importance of vaccines is crucial. Vaccines are not only ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Water Is An Important Factor That Affects Sorption Water is an important factor that affects sorption because when there is excess water or when water drains through soil from sources at the surface, adsorbed pesticide molecules can become unattached, or desorbed, and wash away to a new location (Rao, 1999). Just as degradation has a measure in the half–life of a compound, sorption also has a measure in the partition coefficient (Koc), which is a ratio of pesticide concentration in a soil bound state versus dissolved in soil–water (Rao, 1999). In fact, "the solubility of a pesticide and its sorption on soil are inversely related; [in other words], increased solubility results in less sorption" (Rao, 1999). Both sorption and degradation are effected by soil type and pH, both of which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Volatilization is a means of major pesticide loss and its rate of loss can often exceeds that of degradation, runoff, or leaching (van der Werf, 1996). For example, in an Oregon study, soil samples 64km from any agriculture were found to have DDT residues, and in Saskatchewan, Canada, 20% of 2, 4–D iso–octyl ester volatilized in 24 hours (Pimentel, 1995). Once in the atmosphere, pesticide residues can spread anywhere, even Antarctica (Pimentel, 1995). Large amounts of pesticides and organic compounds can be transported around the globe in the atmosphere, for example, "in the atmosphere of the Netherlands, the amounts of BHC, DDT, and heptachlor were reported to be 4600, 1064, and 190 pg/m 3, respectively" (Pimentel, 1995). Topography and Geology Topography and geology affect pesticide movement in as much as directing or transporting pesticides. Topography is very obvious, for example, if a field is right next to a river, it is much more likely for runoff to get into the river system, or if a field is in a low area not very far above the water table, pesticides are very likely to leach into the groundwater. On the other hand, a field could be high and dry and very far from any river or groundwater, but if it is hilly that can pose its own problems. As T. Y. Tong and Chen point out, surface runoff is an important source of non–point pollution (Tong and Chen, 2002). Though it was pointed out by van der Werf that volatilization is the biggest source of ... The prevalence of obesity in the United States has been continuing to rise because society has not been taking care of itself. Many changes in day to day activity patterns and also diet have been provided for people to follow in order to keep themselves healthy and in shape. Some still might believe the reason behind obesity is the fact that the government is not helping them out, or the types of food the government produces, affects the cause of obesity. Obesity is a matter of personal responsibility, which has nothing to do with the government. Sugar has been known to be the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, when cereal is being consumed, the sugar contained in the cereal activates the sweet– taste receptors, which are just part of the taste buds on our tongues (Barclay). This sort of sweetness allows the taste buds to send signals to the brain stem. From this point on, the signal allows the brain to activate the reward system. "This reward system allows the sugar to flow through the electrical and chemical pathways across several different parts of the human brain" (Barclay). After this point, the consumer is left with the decision as to whether or not to continue eating the sugary substance. Therefore, the reward system gives off a "feel good drug" symptom which generates the human brain to have more sweets. Over–consuming sugar can be very harmful towards the body. Even though, sugar is highly addictive, over activating the reward system allows the body to start a series of unfortunate matters. These events might cause a person to experience loss of control or cravings of more sweet substances, and also a contribute to a very high tolerance to sugar ("Why Is Sugar?"). This sort of addiction also causes dopamine to be released, which leads some people to constantly wanting more of that sugary substance. If people decided on eating too much, the dopamine response does not allow it to level out. In other words, eating lots of sugary ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There has been significant strides taken in the realm of renewable energy, particularly in PV solar and wind generator power technology. Many European countries have taken the lead in PV solar technology particularly Germany which has public, government and policy support to enable further developments in PV. Moreover additional "Clean" energy technology is currently in development, one particular example is the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) currently under construction in Southern France, which is shaping to be the world's first Fusion generator, which will have a similar power source of that of ... A state where the technology exists, however the incentives for continued research and development are absent. There has been no shortage of debate from proponents of Environmental concerns and others who do not believe there is any problems or concerns facing our environmental future. • 25. Employees Are The Most Important Factor Of Production Employees are indeed a crucial part of any organization and are often referred to by economists as the most important factor of production. For many years, employers have been faced with the issue of retention and are fairly cautious when it comes to managing and retaining their workforce. Included in this is having the best possible employees or talent on your team working efficiently to ensure the business is stable and successful. As it is said "an organization can only be as successful as the people working with them". Ensuring you have the proper team is crucial but if there is any downfall to an individual employee this can slow production or lower morale amongst your employees. There are three different broad groups employees can be categorized within depending on their contribution within the organization. These three broad groups are the engaged employees, the non–engaged employees, and also the actively disengaged employees. Engaged employees are the desirables for any organization as these employees are self motivated and want better for the organization and take pride and passion into their work. They often put their best foot forward and want to move the organization in the right direction. Non–engaged employees are those employees who are disconnected from their employers who tend to just do the bare minimum and have minimal pride in their work. These can be identified as those employees who simply show up to get a check and leave. The final group, actively ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Generation Reserve Is An Important Factor In Generation Generation reserve is an important factor in generation planning or operating process, as discussed in the previous chapter, subsection 3.1. Traditionally, fixed percentage of the peak load is used as a reserve for planning purpose and another one for operating purpose. On solar generation system, both of generation and load are variable. This behavior is extremely confusing in appropriate reserve estimation. Solar PV power changes during the day, season and month. • 31. Identity Theft Is An Important Factor Identity theft is the deliberate use of someone else 's identity, usually as a method to gain a financial advantage or obtain credit and other benefits in the other person 's name, and perhaps to the other person 's disadvantage or loss. The person whose identity has been assumed may suffer adverse consequences if they are held responsible for the perpetrator 's actions. Identity theft occurs when someone uses another 's personally identifying information, like their name, identifying number, or credit card number, without their permission, to commit fraud or other crimes. When people think of identity theft, more often than not they assume that it only happens to wealthy people. Who would bother stealing the identity of a college student who can barely make ends meet? The harsh reality of the matter is that anyone can be a victim. College students are particularly vulnerable, because they are most likely to be careless or unaware where their credit reports are concerned. The fact that they don't expect to be targeted by identity thieves is an important factor. The more you know, the more you are able to prevent identity theft from happening to you. According to the US Federal Trade Commission, majority of the reports they receive on identity theft were filed by victims aged 20 to 29. However, it is true that BLM has failed to receive it from the most important people. The ways we have increasingly progressed over the many years have influenced our perspectives of what education really is. Although education is thought to mean acquiring knowledge obtained from textbooks and school, I believe that it is one of a broader sense; allowing not only students, but everyone to expand their experiences, thus creating what Spayde and Kagen would consider "real world" education. It becomes simplified into the informal education we get from other. As Hart has described, students are struggling with the world that they live in today, for our education system is not preparing students for the outside world, rather, it focuses on specific areas that society believes to be important. This leads to a lack of general knowledge, thus creating students educated in some sense, but ignorant in the other. Newman believes that the need for a diverse field in education, allows students to be surrounded by different interests; learning and assisting one another. Students are able to understand the material without fully going in depth with the information, and by doing so; they are able to grow and form their own opinions. By allowing such education and providing a well–balanced education, people are able to become more knowledgeable and well– rounded. The primary purpose of any education is to produce intellectual people, one who are understanding, and opinionated about the world they live in. Similar in thought to Newman, Spayde believes the education doesn't thoroughly allow you to understand the concepts of life. • 51. Who Is The Most Important Factor? Imagine the differences in the answers you would hear if you asked a child and an elderly person: "What is the most important factor in your life?" We all have different ideas on what motivates us to do what we do in our lives. Many people consider money, fame, or power to be the most important factor that determines how successful we are in our lives due to the social status that these things will give us in our lives. However, there are many other factors in our lives that are arguably much more important than these three factors. The two most important factors, in my opinion, are happiness and peace. Saint Francis had this realization when he was a young adult. His new peace– filled "Franciscan perspective" of determining success in our lives was established as a result. Using connections from Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si' and Evangelli Gaudium, as well as Francis's own principles of living like Jesus Christ, it is clear that working at the Dorothy Day Center (D.D.C.) falls under this "Franciscan perspective" of success and emulates Saint Francis of Assisi in many ways. In order to accomplish ten hours of community service, I worked at the Dorothy Day Center. My main jobs included folding and sorting clothes, cleaning around the Dorothy Day Center, as well as stocking the food pantry. This model states that out migrants move to urban areas expecting higher incomes however their main source of the income is retained in rural areas i.e. agricultural land. But other literature suggests that these migrants settle in urban areas and are employed in the urban sector. A lot of questions come up with this creative accounting technique as well as the relation to corporate governance and frauds. It obviously has some negative results from inappropriate use of creative accounting but, on the other hand, it could be useful to present a company's interests better within laws and regulations. This essay will elaborate what the creative accounting is, why companies use this accounting method, both positive and negative views of using creative accounting with appropriate examples and cases, and possible recommendations to improve the accounting standards and systems. For as long as human beings have inhabited the Earth, as a specie, they have discovered a way to produce offspring, which led to the expansion and survival of the entire species. That being said, over the course of history, researchers in multiple fields have attempted to study this evolutionary phenomenon, but social psychologist became the main contributors that brought awareness to the topic of attraction and how it influenced early humans to select certain individuals as their mate. Human attraction has also become a sensitive topic over the course of history due to the fact that in earlier times, attraction was used just as a method to produce offspring, however, nowadays, attraction is used to create relationships that are meant to last. In other words, attraction is no longer just about producing offspring, but to find the perfect mate that will become a lifetime companion. Furthermore, literature that has been written on the subject has mainly focused on the attraction that form heterosexual romantic relationships. However, this Additionally, an important ... According to psychologists, there are two different types of similarity, actual and perceived similarity. Actual similarity has been defined as "the degree to which one is actually similar to another individual" (Montoya, Horton, and Kirchner, 2008). On the other hand, perceived similarity has been defined as "the degree to which one believes oneself similar to another" (Montoya, Horton, and Kirchner, 2008). This type of external factor focuses on the fact that if individuals are presented with a positive stimulus, that will act as a direct connection that will reinforce the attraction that is being ... Low Attendance Culture at NYUAD LOW ATTENDANCE CULTURE AT NYUAD NYUAD Community Events As an Observational Platform for a Complex System "It was supposed to be a collaboration among schools, NYUAD and the Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, together for a night of shared poetry on March 13. The event was primarily advertised on Facebook and of both schools' populations, 205 people RSVP'd. But when the night arrived, NYUAD sophomore Zahida Rahemtulla found herself with only one other companion boarding the bus for the event." At NYUAD, students have the chance to join in various events within the university as well around the city of Abu Dhabi. In fact, NYUAD has created a Student Portal, a website designed to list these events and update students, faculty and stuff of the different locations and dates of such events. In this sense, NYUADers are literally "one click away from being part of a certain meeting or event. However, over the last few years there have been a noticeable culture of overcommitting and then not attending" . Most of the organized events reach the student population with loud Facebook campaigns and tempting slogans such as "free", yet people still fail to show up when they need to. Could it be that students fail to attend these meetings due to the overwhelming publicity? It is quite understandable that freshmen of all classmen are the ones who over commit; they are simply excited to part of the university life. As freshmen adapt to college routine, they start to realize what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Important Factors To Build A Monument Analysis How can one consider size, materials, and location of equal importance in the creation of monument, when the location determines how many people will view the monument and whether the monument is respectful to the event or person it represents? Although it is important to consider the materials and size when a monument will be created to memorialize a person or event, the most important factor to be considered in the creation of a memorial is the location because in order for a monument to be seen, it must be placed in an adequate location. The most important factor in the creation of a monument is the location. The location is essential in the creation of a monument because only monuments placed in well known places will be seen. For example, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to build a monument, materials are needed and the size needs to be determined to figure out the amount of materials needed. Source G claims that materials are an important factor to consider in the creation of a monument. Maya Lin, the designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C put an emphasis on materials in the creation of the monument. Lin used black granite to make the monument reflective and peaceful. The mirrored effect made the park look doubled in size, which made it appear as though there were two worlds to resemble the unity between the nation's past and present. The use of carefully chosen materials and the illusion of size made the Vietnam Veterans Memorial convey an important message. Although I grant that materials and size are important factors to be considered in the creation of a monument, I still maintain that location is the most important factor to be considered in the creation of a monument. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was placed in a well–known beautiful park surrounded by trees, which is why many people were able to view and admire the monument. The location of the monument set its shape. The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Memorial were already at that location, which were both important aspects of the Vietnam Veterans Monument. Two walls of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial were placed so one pointed at the Lincoln Memorial and the other was pointed at the Washington Memorial. The link between these two strong symbols conveyed the message of unity between the nation's past and present. The careful considerations about the monuments location allowed the monument to convey an important message that is viewed and admired by many. If the monument was placed in an obscure non–picturesque location, no one would be able marvel over the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most Important Critical Factors This semester in CPD VI, I sat down and determined what my critical factors are to help me better find the best fit for me in terms of where I want to work after graduation. A little over a year ago in CPD III I made a list of the top ten critical factors like I did this year. After comparing the two lists from CPD III and CPD IV side by side I realized that a majority of the critical factors were the same. The main difference that I seen was mostly the order of the critical factors from most important to lest important. At this stage of my career it is important for me to determine my critical factors and choose rotation sites that are best suited for me so that I can get the most out of my experiences. In CPD III my most important critical factors in the order from most important to least important were: job security, opportunity for leadership development, income, benefits, working with a team, business management, helping people, variety of daily activities, work schedule, and finally entrepreneurial opportunities. In CPD VI my most important critical factors in the order from most important to least important is: work schedule, income, benefits, future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 77. Money Plays An Important Factor Money plays an important factor in schools' decisions for cutting or reducing fine arts. Cutting fine arts saves money that could be used on academically stimulating programs and bettering Core subject areas. An Arizona newspaper reported that a school district was able to save one and a half million dollars when they completely cut their fine arts program (Faller). Fine arts takes up a large portion of schools' budgets, and schools who cut it in its entirety would be able to save that money and set it aside for academic programs with more measurable results. Alternatively, schools also reduce their fine arts programs and make it more of an extracurricular activity. This continues the school's involvement and sponsorship for the arts, but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Educators, administrators, and the public might also argue to increase fine arts funding, but only to the schools who are struggling to meet Core standards, as well as other educational requirements. In school facilities where there are large demographics of Hispanics and African–Americans, students are less likely to have the opportunity to take art classes (Holcomb). Since these students won't receive as equal of an education as their peers, then something needs to intervene and equalize their opportunities with those who have access to these programs. Historically speaking, schools with high concentrations of minorities have generally had limited access to fine arts classes (Holcomb). This has been an ongoing problem, and an increase of funding to these schools may be the solution to the problem. According to a study in "Social Science Quarterly", socioeconomic and ethnicity are factors in music participation in children; whites and Asians from higher socioeconomic backgrounds are more likely to play an instrument than African–Americans or Hispanics (Holcomb). Increasing the funding for struggling schools may seem like one of the best solutions, but what happens to the schools with established and succeeding arts programs? Do they receive an increase of funding too? Chances are no, because these schools will statistically have higher standardized test scores than the struggling schools. ...
