Seasons Essay
1. A Man for All Seasons Essay
In the beginning of A Man for All Seasons, Sir Thomas More is introduced as a profoundly
religious man focused on adhering to the laws of his country and faith. As the play progresses the
audience sees More putting further faith into his belief that by abiding to the present laws and
withholding his opinion about King Henry VIII's divorce he will be protected from prosecution.
The issue starts when the King wishes to divorce his brother's wife, who initially he had taken as
his own through a special papal dispensation, in order to wed Queen Anne and produce a male
heir. More, being a devoutly religious man, realizes this goes against the laws of the Church. He
refuses to give his willing approval based on the fact it is not morally or...show more content...
He believes that if he is summoned to the Court that the jury will look at the evidence and realize
there is no probable content to convict him of, therefore, proving him to be an innocent man who
has done no wrong. More distinctly states this belief when he tells Cromwell, "The law requires
more than an assumption; the law requires a fact." –Sir Thomas More, pg 131
However, he has not planned for a false testimony from Richard Rich at his trial. Rich testifies
that More has committed the act of treason by rejecting the authority of King Henry VIII as head
of the Church in England. As king of England, Henry has the power and the unquestionable
authority to act based off his own desires even if they are not legally or morally acceptable.
Because his current wife, Catherine, who was also his brother's widow, has failed to birth a son, he
wishes to divorce her and take Queen Anne as his new wife. Without a male heir to the throne,
Henry's lineage will come to an end and England will be left without a successor. He admits this to
More during their meeting in Act 1, saying,
"Thomas, Thomas, does a man need a Pope to tell him when he's sinned? It was a sin, Thomas; I
admit it; I repent. And God has punished me; I have no son ... Son after son she's borne me,
Thomas, all dead at birth, or dead within the month; I never saw the hand of God so clear in

2. 4 Seasons Research Paper
The greatest point about Japan is the changing of four seasons. In spring, beautiful cherry blossoms
bloom. Usually, the weather is nice and calm, and we can enjoy ohanami: in other words, cherry
blossom viewing. When summer comes, plants and trees become bright green, and cicada shrills
continuously. In autumn, leaves turn into red, yellow, and orange. We go to the mountains, and
enjoy seeing the beautiful view of colorful trees. Finally, when winter comes, it snows heavily at
north of Japan. Anywhere you can see becomes all white, and it is incredibly beautiful. Also, we
can build a kamakura,a Japanese igloo, or make a snowman and enjoy the snow.At Japan, we have
distinctive four seasons like this, and we enjoy the changes. There are only

3. Reasons for Seasons Essay
Season and the planets, that's been a question that's has limited answers because of the limited
research. In this essay we will discuss the common misconceptions that students have when
understand the seasons of the earth, Along with identifying the other planets and if they have season
or not. Also we will explain the aphelion, the perihelion and how it affects planet seasons.
There are few common misconceptions that students think are true regarding the reasons for seasons
on earth. Students usually believe that because of the earth's distance and its orbits around the sun
causes the seasons. That is because students believe that the earth is in an elongated elliptical path
that causes the season depending on the distance. When all...show more content...
When mars is ion the perihelion, which is the closest point to the sun; mars is at its fastest point.
This in turn creates varying seasons on mars, than it does on earth. On mars every six months the
seasons change on mars, for example winter lasts 146 days, summer lasting 199 days, and fall and
spring last 171 days. The sun its self is not on a elliptical orbit, the planet gets nearer towards and
away from the Sun as it moves around. When the planet is closest to the Sun it is at the perihelion.
When the planet is the farthest from the sun, then it is at aphelion
Jupiter has an atmospheric pressure which is 10x greater that earths. With atmospheric pressure that
great, causes the temperature from below the clouds causes the temperature to rise to a nice 70
degrees. As you go deeper into Jupiter reaching the core, it becomes hotter that the sun its self.
Saturn is simple because its seasons are long lasting, for fall in Saturn lasted 2 years in 2002. Also
in 2004 when the spacecraft Cassini started reached its destination to Saturn it started the season of
winter.
Uranus orbits the same distance from the sun consistently and has had long winters which could last
decades, when the sun's rays reach far latitudes that hit Uranus. This causes the atmosphere to start
an enormous storm which starts the beginning of spring. Because Uranus is tilted 98 degrees it
causes 21 year seasons. Neptune is a slow planet, because its
