How Can You Change Your Food Choices
The top reason for my food choices was I try to get in the habit of selecting food items that serve as
source of proteins like the salmon and bake or grill chicken because of the amount of time it is quick
and easy to cook, it taste good and it very convenience to find in the grocery stores.
2.How can you change your behaviors to make sound nutritional decisions? I can change my
behavior to make sound nutritional decisions by making a list of food items that I normally eat and
incorporated new items that are healthy for me to maintain my health and diet.
3.Were any of your food choices influenced by your emotions? If so, which emotions?
Yes, some of my food choices was influence by my emotions not to eat any items that I have not

Synthesis Essay Photography
Today, photography the one of the most popular method of preserving a moment in time. It is used
everywhere from preserving the happy family reunion to preserving evidence at the scene of a
vehicle accident. The birth of photography revolutionized the way we keep record; for the first time
in mankind's history, we are able to suspense a moment in time as a static picture. Photography has
made such a positive impact on our experience and representation of the world. Before the invention
of the camera, the concept of reliving a moment in the far future is practically impossible due to our
brain's inability to record every single detail at that moment. But our brain is no longer a barrier to
reliving the past due to the invention of photography. Photographs "reveal what the eye cannot see.
They capture emotion. They record the past." (Source B). Photography enables people such as Scott

Before the age of photography, "what is written about a person or an event is frankly an
interpretation" (Source E). Let's say someone is unfortunate enough to be involve in a car accident
and the two drivers are taking the case to a court room. When the judge asks to describe the scene of
the accident, both victims would likely to interpret the scene of the accident into their favor.
However, if there are photographs of the accident scene, the scene would look the same to everyone
in the court room. In addition, photography allows us to "have about the look of the past" (Source
E). Thanks to photography, Donald M. Murray is able to recall his childhood, his feeling as a soldier
during World War II, his adulthood (Source A). Photography changed the way we keep record of our
precious moments, from good ones such as Murray dressed up in different costumes and riding on a
tricycle to bad ones such as car accidents and Murray as a World War II

Arizona State Sun Devils Case Study
Arizona State Sun Devils Pacific–12 Conference (Pac–12) South (2014 record: 10–3) Head Coach:
Todd Graham Offense: In spite of the fact the Sun Devils had a solid record on the 2014 season, that
record might be a little deceiving given the fact the Sun Devils had a season of highs and lows and
probably weren't as good as its record indicated. That said, the offense certainly did its part by
racking up solid numbers across the board. The team scored 36.9 PPG while taking good care of the
ball with only 13 turnovers throughout the season. Going into this season, Coach Graham has a
couple of key players returning on offense. At the quarterback position, much of last year ended up
being a platooning situation between since departed Taylor Kelly ... Show more content on

However, that might not be good enough in the Pac 12. Most of the teams in this conference can put
points on the board at will, which is going to put a lot of pressure on Coach Graham and his players
to find creative ways to score. Defense: In 2014, the Sun Devils defense was too porous. They gave
up 27.9 PPG and 417 YPG with most of it coming through the air. The one thing that saved this
defense from looking rather ordinary was its ability to get after the ball. With 27 forced turnovers (5
returned for TDs), they just had a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Coach Graham
does not have the luxury of assuming his team will be so fortunate to come up with so many
turnovers this season. Instead, he is going to have to hope that the return of three top defensive
players will bring the unit much needed experience and leadership. Among the players returning are
SR DB Jordon Simone, SR LB Antonio Longino and JR LB Salamo Fiso. Simone was second on
the team in tackles will 100 while Longino added 94 tackles and Fiso accounted for 83 of them to go
along with 3.5 sacks. The Sun Devils will have to find a reliable defensive lineman to replace
Marcus Hardison who led the team in sacks with

The Impact Of Ifrs On American Business
In 2014, a study from PricewaterhouseCoopers pointed that American investors are looking over–
seas' capital market for investment opportunities, and foreign investors are also looking for investing
opportunities in America. According to the research from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2014, an
estimates shows that there are around seven trillion US dollars are invested in foreign stock markets,
and American markets are open to non–US firms too. Many of the foreign companies use IFRS rule
without any reconciliation to GAAP.
In the major international market, there are currently only four countries do not require IFRS rules,
and they are China, Japan, India, and the US. Pacter (2015) explained that presently there are one

Instead, in the over–seas markets, numerous countries require IFRS for the statutory financial
reporting. As the result, the multinational companies located in the US will need to have the IFRS
reports for their subsidiaries located in over–seas countries.
Pologeorgis (2012) stated that the diversity of accounting principle has an essential impact on the
stock markets, corporate management, and financial reporting. He pointed that when people seeking
for international capitals, varies of dissimilar accounting principles create discrepancies in their
financial reporting. If people cannot understand the differences between IFRS and GAAP, they may
have the chance to make the wrong decisions and loss money in the capital markets. Pologeorgis
(2012) also mentioned that international investors have to relearn the new principal in order to be
more familiar with the international standards. Based on above, there is a keen motivation for people
to understand the differences and similarities of GAAP and IFRS. This research will show business
people the main similarities and differences of GAAP and IFRS.

Looking at the data, there needed to be some deleting and altering of the data. Some years had to be
deleted from the data set because the number of records for those years were too low. There were
single entries for years 1809,1810,1812,1863 and 1864. These entries were deleted from the data set.
The year 1932 and the years 1948–1999 were also deleted. The year 1932 only had 15 records, so
the number of records was too low. 1948–1997 were deleted because those years only had between
1 and 21 records so they were deleted because they were too low. The number of records was < 30
so we discarded these years. The sample sizes for these years were small and the data would not fit a
normal distribution. We decided to delete 1998–1999

The Importance Of Violent Immigrants Into The United States
Is it right to prevent immigrants from other countries to come into the United States? Did you know
"U.S. Immigration and customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested more than 41,300 undocumented
immigrants in the 100 days since president Trump signed a pair of executive orders tightening
border security and cracking down on sanctuary cities" (Bendix). Well in many cases these
undocumented immigrants are simply looking for better living in the United States for the fact that
where they come from it's hard to find stable jobs, good living and education. The reason why
president Trump signed a pair of executive orders was to get rid of "undocumented immigrants with
a criminal record or who pose a threat to national security remain a priority for the agency"
(Homan). For this reason, preventing undocumented immigrants with a criminal record should not
come to the U.S. to prevent violence into the U.S. also undocumented immigrants come to the U.S
looking for good stable jobs and housing; even though it can be scary for them because they could
get caught by (ICE) they still take risks for their families to have the right education and
opportunities they never had back home.
It's not right to prevent undocumented immigrants from other countries to come to the U.S. unless
they have a criminal record. In the U.S. there has been cases of undocumented immigrants who have
been arrested that have criminal records, "According to Wednesday's report, nearly 75 percent of

The Electronic Health Records
Being able to tell about the roots of where the Electronic Health Records come from the paper will
now look at the benefits of the system. The Electronic Health Records areis defined as, "electronic
version of a patientspatient's medical history, that is maintained by the provider over time, and may
include all of the key administrative clinical data relevant to that persons care under a particular
provider, including demographics, progress notes, problems, medications, vital signs, past medical
history, immunizations, laboratory data and radiology reports The EHR automates access to
information and has the potential to streamline the clinician 's workflow." (CentresCentre's for
Medicare & Medicaid Services 2012) With the EHR's there are a lot of mixed emotions towards it
being beneficial or not useful however the good outweighs the bad in this case. The EHRs have
taken care of the duty of physically transporting paper records from clinic, to hospital , to lab and
also the chore of having to re write medical paper records every time of going into a new medical
setting. Also for patients that need their clinicians to access their forms it can be now easily at hand
for them as well, making it less of a hassle to looking up a patientspatient's medical history. The
Electronic Health records also allow for physicians to make notes on a patientspatient's page about
his or her prescriptions or any other information that other physicians should know about them

Descriptive Essay About Soccer
The late nights, under the lights, is such an amazing experience that I will never forget. So many
different and exciting things happen on the soccer field. Through four years of playing, there were
three different coaches, so many different players, two conference titles, one sectional
championship, and so many records were broken. It is an amazing experience and if I could just
have one more game with each of them, I would take it back in a heartbeat. The soccer field has a lot
of history, personal value, and cultural significance to it. The high school soccer field is a cultural
artifact, and it shows how teams work together, how some step up and become leaders, and how
players leave a legacy. FIFA states that a soccer field is 120 yards long and 80 yards wide. Our field
has two sets of bleachers, one for the away team and one for us. In between the two sets of bleachers
in a concession stand. There are four lights that shine down on the field when it gets dark. On the
opposite side of the bleachers are two sets of benches that the players use when they are not playing.
There is a scoreboard between the two sets of benches. There are corner flags that mark the corners
of the field. The field has short, green, grass. There is a press box above the concession where they
introduce the players, the national anthem is played, and where they announce who scores. Logan

Methods of Observation. Level 3 Diploma in Children and...
METHODS OF OBSERVATION
Narrative/free description/written record or running record
A running record is a very detailed description of the behaviour of a child over a short period of
time, often less than five minutes. The observer watches a child or group of children and note down
everything he sees, which gives the portrait of the child and his activity during this particular period
of time.
The observer sits quietly and tries not to draw attention to him as his interaction may affect the
behaviour of the child. It helps to avoid eye contact!
These observations usually cover a short period of time are written in the present tense because you
record things as they happen. Sticky note could be use to jot down the information.

The aggressive behaviour might include hitting, biting, scratching, and verbal abuse or temper
tantrum.
The advantages of event sample are very important, they give us very precise data, when the data
has been collected the data is very accessible. One very important advantage is that it can reveal
unexpected patterns and behaviour.
The disadvantages of event sample are that when the child is observed it is very difficult not to be
noticed this by the child this is turn may give false results. Another main disadvantage is observing a
child may be very difficult at times, the observer may lose concentration therefore not able to log all
the details.
Anecdotal
Narrative of descriptive paragraph recorded after the behaviour occurs.
An anecdote is a story. In reality when the child is being observed its like telling a story when and
what happens. It is a very difficult thing to do but the data collected is very important to child
psychologists, all the data collected is normally in the past the When used for observing; it is a story
about a child's behaviour.
Anecdotes are the most commonly used tool in gathering information about children.
One of the main reasons for this is because they are quick to record. It is a good idea to carry a
notebook and pen with you at all times. Quickly jot down some brief notes to jog your memory.

Persuasive Essay On Roofing Company
Choosing the right roofing company is especially important in the city of Portland. Anyone who
lives in the city knows of its damp and rainy weather, and knows that good roofing is essential to
keeping one's home dry and secure. To be sure, there are many roofing contractors to choose from in
the city; but choosing the best roofing contractor in Portland Oregon takes some thought and
diligence.
So, you're looking for a roofer. Well, here are some of the things may want to consider before doing
so.
You certainly want to go with a roofing contractor who uses the best materials. Dampness and wind
wear down roofs quite quickly. Therefore you want to ensure that the contractor you're working with
is using roofing materials that can withstand such elements. Style is also important. You don't want
roof tiles or other materials that clash with the rest of your house or that are significantly out of tune
with other houses in your neighborhood. This is important because such stylistic differences can
have an effect on the value of your property.
Now, you don't want to pay exorbitant costs for this roofing material; so, you want to work with a
roofer who can help you stay with a certain budget. Indeed, it is important to think strategically

remembered for being the first successful quarterback that was short. Douglas Richard Flutie was
born in Manchester, Maryland in 1962. He was the type of kid who was playing sports all of the

basketball, and football in high school and was successful at all three. "Basketball was always

all three sports made it very hard for doug to make a choice on which sport to choose. The only

Electronic Health Record System
Electronic health record systems are very helpful in the outpatient setting, but EHRs are only as
good as the staff and the staff that input data into the system. Electronic Health Record systems have
many functional applications in the outpatient setting. Task lists, communication with others within
the practice, and improving billing accuracy and claims, are just three of the many functional
applications EHRs provide to clinical end–users in an outpatient setting. By creating day to task and

Tasks inputs can be viewed by one single individual or by the entire department. By making daily
tasks available to all individuals, the "what are we going to do today?" question is eliminated and
staff members are given direction as to what is expected of them that day, week, or month.
Communication functionality is an electronic health record system creates and harbors an
atmosphere of open communication. Everyone in an outpatient clinic manages patients. EHRs help
manage not only communication between staff but also patient communication. EHRs can help
manage communication of incoming patients, or follow–ups. Electronic health records should not
replace face to face communication between staff members and patients. Electronic health record
systems should improve and add value to staff and patient communication. By improving patient
communication using EHRs, claims and billing would be improved. Taking the guesswork out of
coding, building a claim, and billing for reimbursement are functional applications of electronic
health record systems in an outpatient setting. Coding is the most important process in the
reimbursement process. Electronic health record systems provide an electronic form of finding and
signing codes to patient visits. By taking the guesswork and the time that a coder would take to look
for appropriate codes to build patient claims. EHRs help outpatient coders look for correct codes,
assign codes to services provided, build claims, and submit claims for billing and reimbursement.

Discrimination And Self Image Of The Music Industry
Discrimination and Self–image in the music industry
Wilfred Jengo Community College Of Philadelphia
Abstract
In American society, the media creates impossible expectations for women of African decent.
Women are given unrealistic standards to achieve (Melissa, 2009). The music industry is particularly
sensitive to these types of expectations created for women in society. This paper will give an
analysis of how image affects success in the business of music. Women are discriminated against in
rap, hip–hop, and pop record labels. I will present statistics to support these findings and describe
the experience obtained by working with a group.
Rap music videos were introduced in the 1980s; they have become one of the most popular music
genres among young people (Hansen and Hansen 2000). In today 's music industry, image can trump
talent, and many of the top stars have struggled with weight, often facing public and industry
censure. This is an analysis of how image affects success in the business of music for women. In the
music industry, record labels are not just looking for how beautiful a woman's voice is; she also
needs to be beautiful or have a gimmick, such as a beautiful body. Record labels are looking to see if
she has the sex appeal that is the music industry believes the public wants. If record labels were to
sign the artist to their label, will the music is able to sell? Most

Why Is EHR Important In Health Care?
With the increase in information technology, it has allowed data to be accessed almost anywhere in

allows healthcare providers to record patient data digitally and can assist in health care delivery.
With EHR being readily available, they can increase the health and span of an individual's lifetime

Cellphone Impaired Driving
How many accidents do you know that have been caused by impairment with a cell phone? When

Sonnet 95 Summary
In sonnet 95, the speaker depicts a paternal feeling while speaking to the addressee, where indeed
the poet reminds his audience about way appearance can be so deceiving. The young man is relying
on his good appearance to veil his sexual immorality. Being that he is handsome and attractive,
people are reluctant to disapprove his behavior. In the first quadrant, the poet employs different
stylistic devices, which include simile, as the young man is likened to a fragrant rose, and on the
other hand, he is compared to a destructive worm, but all his dark side of life is hidden under his
good looking and charming nature. What is important about this poem is the manner in which the
speaker reminds the young man about his bad behavior and draws examples that makes him feel
sorry about what he does behind his good–looking nature. By the use of diction, imagery, diction,
images, metaphors and other figures of speech, such as tone of voice, allusions, syntax and structure
of the speech, the speaker warns the young man against his sexual immorality, and reminds him that
there are detrimental risks associated with his behavior if he does not change.
In the first quadrant, the speaker examines both sides of the young man's life where he looks at the
darker and better sides but most importantly demonstrating the way he misuses his good–looking
ability to commit sexual crimes. However, the speaker does not condemn it openly but appreciates
his good look "how sweet and lovely" (1), but

Music Producer Qualities
Imagine yourself creating a song people really like, but first you need to know how to do it. This
description reveals that if somebody wants to be a good music producer they have to know how to
do it. The ways for someone to be a good music producer are to understand the jobs available, the
abilities people need, and the roles of a music producer so he or she can make better music for
everyone. A music producer needs ways for looking for and understanding jobs. If you're looking for
jobs in the music producing industry you need to know the basics. "If working with a smaller record

Some of these abilities are "public speaking skills" ("Traits and Skills"), it is important to have
public speaking skills because they are necessary for life. People always talk about being shy and
that makes it harder to get jobs and to work with other people. Also while working with other people
you have to "act with maturity and discretions in sensitive issues" ("Traits and Skills"). This is very
important while working with people, bands, and artist because if you are not serious with them then
they are not serious with you. An other needed abilities that ties in with speaking is to "be an
influential community advocate for music and music education" ("Traits and Skills"). This is crucial
because right now people get to do this profession but people have to encourage and pursue the next
generation of children so this keeps going on. To be a good music producer you have to be a good
politician and diplomat ("What is a Record Producer?"). At first it is confusing why a music
producer has to be a politician, but it is important to know this because politicians represent a race
or candidate and that is in a way what music producers are. They represent their music and the
people that listen to that music. With the responsibility of that you must also have the confidence
and integrity to make difficult decisions ("Traits and Skills"). This is very important because a
producer needs the confidence to hire or fire people

Metadata Quality: Importance, Standards, Assessment, and Challenges
Metadata is a vital aspect of information organization today. Without quality metadata, the worth of
collections is diminished and the ability for records to be used is non–existent (Park & Tosaka,
2010). Thus, metadata is the cornerstone of library systems, and it is imperative for academic
research. Further, if standards for metadata are not established, there is no agreed upon quality,
making interoperability of records impossible (Park, 2009). Despite the obvious importance of
quality metadata, little work has been done to develop a standard or best practice guideline. The
National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has established six principles that make up ...

Thus, metadata quality cannot be assessed by a full MARC record. Instead, catalogers must use
other assessment methods. For instance, Bruce and Hillman assess quality metadata through a seven
layer framework: completeness, accuracy, provenance, conformance to expectations, logical
consistency and coherence, timeliness, and accessibility (David & Thomas, 2015). A different
proposal from Stvilia and Gasser (2008) propose a system of assessment that analyzes metadata
records both empirically and analytically. This allows records to have sound metadata quality, but
does not require a quality above what is functional for a record. Zschocke and Beniest (2011)
advocate a quality assurance method that utilizes peer–review and automation to check metadata
while it is being created. One of the leading tools used to evaluate metadata currently is its
usefulness to end–users. If end–users are supplied with numerous application of records, then the
quality of the metadata is higher than a record whose applications for an end–user are minute (Park

Medical Records And Electronic Records
This case study has presented multiple issues concerning converting paper medical record to
electronic medical records. The first concerns are the inefficiencies of the paper medical records and
the steps needed to convert the current records to digital records. A second concern was that the
medical staff would have to change their work habits to adjust to using the electronic medical
records and the training that would be needed to implement the electronic record software. Another
concern would be the various formats of software programs and the ability to complement each
other. The final concern was the security of the electronic records, misuse of the information or
problems accessing the information due to unforeseen circumstances. As the case stated paper
records are cumbersome, bulky and difficult to access. As you read through the case it does make
one think about how your own medical records are maintained within the doctor's office. As with
my own medical records there was a time that the doctor was looking back through the actual sheets
of paper in my file looking for information how he treated a certain medical issue that I had
experience years prior, because the same issue reappeared again. It took an extensive amount of my
appointment time to search through only a few years of my medical records to find the notes on that
exact appointment. How easy would it have been to be able to open the laptop, pull up my medical
records and enter a few words in a

Importance of Childcare Background Checks
Criminal Background Checks Childcare background checks have always been important for those
hiring people to work particularly with children. But, the recent rise in child–related crimes in the
past decade has made this kind of check even more important, not only to people hiring childcare
workers, but for anyone that will be providing care for a child in any way. This includes volunteers
working with children in a public daycare center, church daycare center, home daycare center, and
even for volunteers at summer camp. Parents have become much more protective over their
children, and with good cause (Oliveri, 2008). Organizations that hire employees or volunteers are
accountable for their actions and must make sure, as best they can, that the people representing them
can be trusted with their clients. Employers should be well–informed on the risk of failing to
conduct screening checks of potential volunteers or employees, as they may be held legally and
morally accountable through vicarious liability. Vicarious liability makes an organization
accountable for the behavior of volunteers or employees under certain circumstances. It functions on
the supposition the organization has aggravated the risk that harm would take place. It makes sure
that organizations take all rational measures to decrease the risk of harm by using methods such as
screening. "If they fail to take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of harm to their clients, an
organization (such as a school,

Arrest Records In Research
Arrests records are made and stored when a person is arrested. They are stored in the records of the
police force or law enforcement agency that performed the arrest, and they are only kept
temporarily. Details concerning the arrest will not usually be stored in a court, as many arrests do
not result in cases being brought before a judge. The exception to this rule is when the arrest was as
a result of a warrant issued by a court, in which case the arrest will be recorded to show that warrant
is no longer active. Otherwise a person could be released without charge only to be immediately
rearrested!
They do not constitute criminal record because at this point the person in question has not been
found guilty of any crime. These records are made public so that interested parties can no that the
person in question has been arrested.

The problem this poses to us when we want to do a search through the arrest records is a matter of
complexity. With all these different sites to remember, and all these different formats to handle, it
can become very confusing when you are looking for information about an arrest for instance, what
would you do if you are searching for information about the person who was arrested, but you do
not know where they were arrested? You have no choice but to systematically searched all the
difference sites into you found a match.
Also, remember what I said about the records being temporary? When some cases, the information
will be only published on the website for one or two weeks, before being deleted. That means if you

Assessment And Summative Assessment
An assessment is the process of gathering, interpreting and recording information about the students
and reflects on the information gathered to make effective decisions in the future to improve the
learning process.
Assessments is a vital part of our curriculum planning of lessons. It is something connected to the
teaching and learning process. It has an important role to play in deciding the levels of achievement
within the school. Effective assessments provide information to improve the teaching and learning
process. It is also important to give feedback on the student's learning progress, so that they
understand where they went wrong and areas where the student is supposed to work on.
There are three types of assessment, they are diagnostic assessment, formative assessment and
summative assessments.
Diagnostic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Examples of summative assessments are tests, assignments and projects. The tests, assignments, or
projects are used to determine whether students have learned what they were expected to learn.
Through summative assessments the teacher can determine whether and to what degree the students
have learned the material taught to them.
Almost every teacher keeps track and records of summative assessments mainly because it
showcases a student's understanding level through grading at the end of a learning session. But it is
also important to keep track and records of formative assessments too because it is done during the
learning process. Record keeping and tracking down the results of assessments is a very important
part of a teacher's role. Schools and teachers keep records of assessments for the purpose of teaching
and enhancing the learning process. Teachers need to keep effective records for every student. It
allows both the teacher and learner to reassess the teaching and learning

Process Essay: What Makes A College Football Team
There are many things that make a college football team worthy of a playoff spot and a chance to
compete for a national championship. There are many reasons as to why a college football team
should get to go to the playoffs but for this essay, I will be focusing on four main points that make a
team playoff worthy. The first is schedule, next is the team's record, followed by a number of losses,
and finally a conference title. The first thing to look at to determine if a team is playoff worthy is
their schedule. When critiquing a team's schedule, who they play and when they play them is very
important in deciding if a team should make the playoffs. Another thing to look at is the record, how
many wins and losses a team has at the end of the year is also very important for playoff contention.
The amount of loses a team has is obviously a huge deal for any team in any sport but this point is
more about comparing loses to other teams loses and seeing who lose to the worse team and who
lose by more and when in the season they lost, a must have to go to the playoffs is a conference title,
because if you can't win your conference championship then why should you get a chance to
compete for the national championship? There are lots of teams in college football ... Show more

Alabama lost to one high ranking team late in November when teams need to win and lost to a team

Retail Field Study: Abercrombie & Fitch vs. Club Monaco
Toronto, February 27, 2012
We should primarily discuss the bigger difference between these two retailers: their Target Market.
Although is very obvious at first sight, when you stop to think about it, its really interesting.
Abercrombie & Fitch is strongly targeting to teen–young adults (18–22 years old), who are
trendy, good looking and with a lot of sex appealing. How they accomplish this? First with the store
concept, very "Spring break" theme, it's all about having fun with friends, being popular and being
cool. From the type of clothes they sell to the whole image they are promoting with videos, ads and
even sales associates model–like who match the customers in every way; As the CEO of A&F

Excitement, sex, fun, social spaces using lounge furniture, it's all about being young, pretty and
popular. For sure is not the most relaxing ambiance for parents, who most likely wait outside the
store until the kids choose whatever they want to buy. But at the end of the day, it's not about the
parents; it's about the teenagers having a place to be that person they are trying to be. On the other
hand, Club Monaco, a completely different experience, they do a really good job from their high
ceilings, bright lighting, minimalism vibe, spacious merchandising spaces, neutral color, wood
floors, Persian carpets, and classic music, it's about giving the customers a feeling of relaxing
ambiance, exclusivity, "stay longer" and "take your time" message, very classy, the point is, to make
the customers feel special, and make them forget about the rest of the world and focus on having a
nice shopping experience, people who shop for Club Monaco are mostly professional–working
people, after a long day at work, they do appreciate a peaceful and comforting ambiance.
Selling services as knowledgeable sales associates, helpful staff, or individualized and personalized

Texas Social Workers
1) Would a school social worker in your city or town be legally justified in talking with a 14 year
old about a pregnancy and possible abortion before securing the parents permission to do so.
In Texas the social workers would have to allow the parent of the minor to know that the child wants
t get an abortion. In fact the child could not get an abortion without the signature of at least one of
her parents. Title two subtitle 33 states that A pregnant minor who wishes to have an abortion
without notification to one of her parents, her managing conservator, or her guardian may file an
application for a court order authorizing the minor to consent to the performance of an abotion

I think that a social worker in this situation would have a lot to deal with because it would be hard
for him or her to meet the wants of the minor and still obey the law. In Texas social workers have to
tell the parent if they the child wants an abortion. I thought that it was also strange that the mother
has to go to at least two appointment before getting an abortion. I think that this law is suppose to
help with changing the person mind. Checking the student record to see if she had a social worker
before is a good idea because if she has you can go to that social workers and find a little more
information about the female. I would want to see her medical record first because, it will help me
understand her past a little more For example by looking at her medical records I can tell if she has
had an abortion before, or if she has a history of STDs. Looking at her medical records is a big help
in this situation. Looking at the family lifestyle of the pregnant minor would be a good help also.
There are a lot of things that a social worker can do to get more information on the girl. As a social
worker on thing that I would be concerned about is the male that got her pregnant. I know that the
girl is my priority, but the male must be in shock as

The Case Of Jones V. Tsige
The case of Jones v. Tsige, 2012 ONCA 32 was a way for the law to see that law does indeed need
to change with society. It deals with tort law and the right of action for intrusion upon seclusion
existing in Ontario. It is based on personal privacy and the court heard that the defendant (Tsige)
viewed the plaintiff's (Jones) personal banking records 174 times within a four–year window. The
plaintiff and the defendant did not personally know each other but worked at different branches of
the Bank of Montreal in Ontario. The plaintiff was in a common–law relationship with the
defendant's ex–husband. When the plaintiff pursued litigation, the judge dismissed it because there
was no existence of a tort invasion of privacy in Ontario at that ... Show more content on

Going through these three prerequisites; (1) the defendant did in fact know what she was doing, so
the act was intentional; (2) the defendant had no lawful justification for looking through the
plaintiff's private banking records; and (3) any reasonable person would feel the way the plaintiff did
if someone they did not know was looking into their bank records 174 times in a four–year period.
The court also ruled that in order for a case to qualify under intrusion upon seclusion, the act must
have been deliberate and significant (again, the defendant knew what she was doing, and did it 174
times). Many people are not on board with this being recognized as "the limits set by the court aren't
clearly definitive" (Gardiner, 2012). One quote that truly shows how this tort being recognized is
good news is this: "The term legalization is used to describe the process by which norms are moved
from the social to the legal level. Not all social norms become law, in fact, only certain norms, but
not others are chosen to be incorporated into the criminal code. Austin T. Turk suggests that there
are certain social forces involved in the legalization and creation of legal norms: moral indignation,
a high value on order, response to threat, and political tactics." (Steven Vago, 2009).

1. Present an example of issue in media and sport. Relate information from the lesson to your
example. The issue of media in sports that I found very interesting was the difference between sports
journalist and broadcaster. These two seem like they are very similar, but in fact they are very
different and very gray. As stated in the videos when the individual is doing anything that might be
to their advantage they will state that they are a journalist, but when they made a mistake or

fact checking and "sports news" and who is strictly there for entertainment.

Can Manufactured Bands Ever be Classified as 'Good' Art? The Effect of the Market on the
Construction of Music
Introduction Manufactured bands now make up a major percentage of chart music today, not least of
them Take That, Boyzone, Bad Boys inc., East 17 and other all–boy pop bands. In this essay I would
like to discuss how the standard of art has been lowered by the capitalistic system of the music
industry, using a specific example – "Upside Down", which is maybe the latest addition to this genre
of music. By this genre of music, I mean the all–boy bands which have been specifically
manufactured and targeted at the 'teenybopper' age class (and also the gay market?).

In this case young girls aged roughly between 11 and 16 have been targeted.
Having decided this, the next part of the process is, based on what the managers think the consumers
want (or what they think they can tell them they want), to tailor make a product to suit the market. In
this situation, the question is,
"What do girls aged between 11 and 16 want to see when they go to a concert?"
The answer is, having experienced the reaction to Take That, Boyzone etc., that they want young
boys, in nice clothes, very good looking, very sexy looking, who are going to look great on their
bedroom walls when they get their posters out of Smash Hits. So this is exactly what the managers
design and produce for them.
The four boys that were eventually chosen were picked from the applicannot s who had responded

"Are you between 17 and 21 and good looking? (We're only looking for the best!)"
"Do you want to be in a teenage all–boy band sensation?"
"Do you want to follow performers like Take that, East 17, Bad Boys inc. and Boyzone into the
covers of Just 17 and Smash Hits?"
"Do you want to be part of a band selling millions of records?

Starting an Independent Record Label
Introduction
Throughout these four chapters I will be discussing how to start your own record label.
Part one will be talking about how to get started, like what a record company does.
Part two will be talking about setting up the actual label, like record deals, contracts that you will
need, and making your business plan.
Part 3 will be discussing how to find the group you will represent, like what to look for in an artist,
what is the artist looking for, and indentifying your market.
Part 4 will be the production and part 5 will be the marketing and distribution, like creating the

production of the recordings, the record company's rights to the recordings, and the amount the label

You will also need a producer's agreement. The producer is the technical and creative person. The
producer works with the artist to complete the master recording that a label will then manufacture
into cassettes etc. its pretty similar to the recording agreement. A producer agreement explains the
deal of the producer will perform on the recording, the record labels rights to the recording, and how
much the label will pay.

as participants rate higher guiltiness level on defendant with criminal record. Diamond (1997)

This is completely irrational. Harlow's baby monkeys study mentioned by Mook (1983) states that
mother monkeys are composed of wire or terry–cloth. The settings are problematic because it is
unrealistic to make wire or terry–cloth figure analogical to fake monkey mothers. The reason why
baby monkey clings to the cloth mother might be because it is more comfortable or warmer but not
mother love. As baby monkey cannot talk, its feeling is never known. Since the fake monkey
mothers do not resemble to the real ones, it seems difficult to draw a sensible findings generalization
on attachment of monkey with mother. Although the aim of the experiment is not to generalize the
reality, it still needs a setting more similar to real life as required by external validity in order to
draw a reasonable findings generalization. Thus, to form findings generalization, we cannot totally
neglect the importance of external validity which requires high similarity of settings to the real life.

can seem a bit daunting, if not overwhelming. But there are some simple steps to follow that will get
you started.
First, start by understanding that most family tree research projects are very long term endeavors.
These histories can go back hundreds of years and trace across wide swaths of the globe. And, the
path of the research is often not linear; you will likely start and stop and start again on the same line
of inquiry over and over as new information becomes available.
The best place to start is typically the easiest. There is already quite a bit of long–standing family
history embedded in the memories and stories held by your living relatives. You can start by having
conversations with them on a one–on–one basis, or by gathering them together in a room. Often
times, these stories are so deeply engrained in people that having a conversation going among others

 • 3. Synthesis Essay Photography Today, photography the one of the most popular method of preserving a moment in time. It is used everywhere from preserving the happy family reunion to preserving evidence at the scene of a vehicle accident. The birth of photography revolutionized the way we keep record; for the first time in mankind's history, we are able to suspense a moment in time as a static picture. Photography has made such a positive impact on our experience and representation of the world. Before the invention of the camera, the concept of reliving a moment in the far future is practically impossible due to our brain's inability to record every single detail at that moment. But our brain is no longer a barrier to reliving the past due to the invention of photography. Photographs "reveal what the eye cannot see. They capture emotion. They record the past." (Source B). Photography enables people such as Scott Momaday, the author of Shadow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the age of photography, "what is written about a person or an event is frankly an interpretation" (Source E). Let's say someone is unfortunate enough to be involve in a car accident and the two drivers are taking the case to a court room. When the judge asks to describe the scene of the accident, both victims would likely to interpret the scene of the accident into their favor. However, if there are photographs of the accident scene, the scene would look the same to everyone in the court room. In addition, photography allows us to "have about the look of the past" (Source E). Thanks to photography, Donald M. Murray is able to recall his childhood, his feeling as a soldier during World War II, his adulthood (Source A). Photography changed the way we keep record of our precious moments, from good ones such as Murray dressed up in different costumes and riding on a tricycle to bad ones such as car accidents and Murray as a World War II ... • 5. Arizona State Sun Devils Case Study Arizona State Sun Devils Pacific–12 Conference (Pac–12) South (2014 record: 10–3) Head Coach: Todd Graham Offense: In spite of the fact the Sun Devils had a solid record on the 2014 season, that record might be a little deceiving given the fact the Sun Devils had a season of highs and lows and probably weren't as good as its record indicated. That said, the offense certainly did its part by racking up solid numbers across the board. The team scored 36.9 PPG while taking good care of the ball with only 13 turnovers throughout the season. Going into this season, Coach Graham has a couple of key players returning on offense. At the quarterback position, much of last year ended up being a platooning situation between since departed Taylor Kelly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, that might not be good enough in the Pac 12. Most of the teams in this conference can put points on the board at will, which is going to put a lot of pressure on Coach Graham and his players to find creative ways to score. Defense: In 2014, the Sun Devils defense was too porous. They gave up 27.9 PPG and 417 YPG with most of it coming through the air. The one thing that saved this defense from looking rather ordinary was its ability to get after the ball. With 27 forced turnovers (5 returned for TDs), they just had a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Coach Graham does not have the luxury of assuming his team will be so fortunate to come up with so many turnovers this season. Instead, he is going to have to hope that the return of three top defensive players will bring the unit much needed experience and leadership. Among the players returning are SR DB Jordon Simone, SR LB Antonio Longino and JR LB Salamo Fiso. Simone was second on the team in tackles will 100 while Longino added 94 tackles and Fiso accounted for 83 of them to go along with 3.5 sacks. The Sun Devils will have to find a reliable defensive lineman to replace Marcus Hardison who led the team in sacks with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Impact Of Ifrs On American Business In 2014, a study from PricewaterhouseCoopers pointed that American investors are looking over– seas' capital market for investment opportunities, and foreign investors are also looking for investing opportunities in America. According to the research from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2014, an estimates shows that there are around seven trillion US dollars are invested in foreign stock markets, and American markets are open to non–US firms too. Many of the foreign companies use IFRS rule without any reconciliation to GAAP. In the major international market, there are currently only four countries do not require IFRS rules, and they are China, Japan, India, and the US. Instead, in the over–seas markets, numerous countries require IFRS for the statutory financial reporting. As the result, the multinational companies located in the US will need to have the IFRS reports for their subsidiaries located in over–seas countries. Pologeorgis (2012) stated that the diversity of accounting principle has an essential impact on the stock markets, corporate management, and financial reporting. He pointed that when people seeking for international capitals, varies of dissimilar accounting principles create discrepancies in their financial reporting. If people cannot understand the differences between IFRS and GAAP, they may have the chance to make the wrong decisions and loss money in the capital markets. Pologeorgis (2012) also mentioned that international investors have to relearn the new principal in order to be more familiar with the international standards. Based on above, there is a keen motivation for people to understand the differences and similarities of GAAP and IFRS. This research will show business people the main similarities and differences of GAAP and IFRS. In revenue recognition: In 2014, Sedki, Sedki, Strickland concluded that GAAP is complicated for people to use. Some years had to be deleted from the data set because the number of records for those years were too low. There were single entries for years 1809,1810,1812,1863 and 1864. These entries were deleted from the data set. The year 1932 and the years 1948–1999 were also deleted. The year 1932 only had 15 records, so the number of records was too low. 1948–1997 were deleted because those years only had between 1 and 21 records so they were deleted because they were too low. The number of records was < 30 so we discarded these years. The sample sizes for these years were small and the data would not fit a normal distribution. We decided to delete 1998–1999 ... • 11. The Importance Of Violent Immigrants Into The United States Is it right to prevent immigrants from other countries to come into the United States? Did you know "U.S. Immigration and customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested more than 41,300 undocumented immigrants in the 100 days since president Trump signed a pair of executive orders tightening border security and cracking down on sanctuary cities" (Bendix). Well in many cases these undocumented immigrants are simply looking for better living in the United States for the fact that where they come from it's hard to find stable jobs, good living and education. The reason why president Trump signed a pair of executive orders was to get rid of "undocumented immigrants with a criminal record or who pose a threat to national security remain a priority for the agency" (Homan). For this reason, preventing undocumented immigrants with a criminal record should not come to the U.S. to prevent violence into the U.S. also undocumented immigrants come to the U.S looking for good stable jobs and housing; even though it can be scary for them because they could get caught by (ICE) they still take risks for their families to have the right education and opportunities they never had back home. It's not right to prevent undocumented immigrants from other countries to come to the U.S. unless they have a criminal record. In the U.S. there has been cases of undocumented immigrants who have been arrested that have criminal records, "According to Wednesday's report, nearly 75 percent of undocumented ... The Electronic Health Records areis defined as, "electronic version of a patientspatient's medical history, that is maintained by the provider over time, and may include all of the key administrative clinical data relevant to that persons care under a particular provider, including demographics, progress notes, problems, medications, vital signs, past medical history, immunizations, laboratory data and radiology reports The EHR automates access to information and has the potential to streamline the clinician 's workflow." (CentresCentre's for Medicare & Medicaid Services 2012) With the EHR's there are a lot of mixed emotions towards it being beneficial or not useful however the good outweighs the bad in this case. The EHRs have taken care of the duty of physically transporting paper records from clinic, to hospital , to lab and also the chore of having to re write medical paper records every time of going into a new medical setting. Also for patients that need their clinicians to access their forms it can be now easily at hand for them as well, making it less of a hassle to looking up a patientspatient's medical history. The Electronic Health records also allow for physicians to make notes on a patientspatient's page about his or her prescriptions or any other information that other physicians should know about them before assessing ... • 15. Descriptive Essay About Soccer The late nights, under the lights, is such an amazing experience that I will never forget. So many different and exciting things happen on the soccer field. Through four years of playing, there were three different coaches, so many different players, two conference titles, one sectional championship, and so many records were broken. It is an amazing experience and if I could just have one more game with each of them, I would take it back in a heartbeat. The soccer field has a lot of history, personal value, and cultural significance to it. The high school soccer field is a cultural artifact, and it shows how teams work together, how some step up and become leaders, and how players leave a legacy. FIFA states that a soccer field is 120 yards long and 80 yards wide. Our field has two sets of bleachers, one for the away team and one for us. In between the two sets of bleachers in a concession stand. There are four lights that shine down on the field when it gets dark. On the opposite side of the bleachers are two sets of benches that the players use when they are not playing. There is a scoreboard between the two sets of benches. There are corner flags that mark the corners of the field. The field has short, green, grass. There is a press box above the concession where they introduce the players, the national anthem is played, and where they announce who scores. METHODS OF OBSERVATION Narrative/free description/written record or running record A running record is a very detailed description of the behaviour of a child over a short period of time, often less than five minutes. The observer watches a child or group of children and note down everything he sees, which gives the portrait of the child and his activity during this particular period of time. What is important about this poem is the manner in which the speaker reminds the young man about his bad behavior and draws examples that makes him feel sorry about what he does behind his good–looking nature. By the use of diction, imagery, diction, images, metaphors and other figures of speech, such as tone of voice, allusions, syntax and structure of the speech, the speaker warns the young man against his sexual immorality, and reminds him that there are detrimental risks associated with his behavior if he does not change. Without quality metadata, the worth of collections is diminished and the ability for records to be used is non–existent (Park & Tosaka, 2010). Thus, metadata is the cornerstone of library systems, and it is imperative for academic research. Further, if standards for metadata are not established, there is no agreed upon quality, making interoperability of records impossible (Park, 2009). Thus, metadata quality cannot be assessed by a full MARC record. Instead, catalogers must use other assessment methods. For instance, Bruce and Hillman assess quality metadata through a seven layer framework: completeness, accuracy, provenance, conformance to expectations, logical consistency and coherence, timeliness, and accessibility (David & Thomas, 2015). A different proposal from Stvilia and Gasser (2008) propose a system of assessment that analyzes metadata records both empirically and analytically. This allows records to have sound metadata quality, but does not require a quality above what is functional for a record. Zschocke and Beniest (2011) advocate a quality assurance method that utilizes peer–review and automation to check metadata while it is being created. One of the leading tools used to evaluate metadata currently is its usefulness to end–users. If end–users are supplied with numerous application of records, then the quality of the metadata is higher than a record whose applications for an end–user are minute (Park & Tosaka, 2010). The study of Park and Tosaka (2010) reveals that the most commonly used assessment of metadata is the application of accuracy and consistency. If a record is accurate and consistent, it is valued over a complete record because accuracy and consistency can be checked and assessed on all record types, unlike other forms of assessment. But, the recent rise in child–related crimes in the past decade has made this kind of check even more important, not only to people hiring childcare workers, but for anyone that will be providing care for a child in any way. This includes volunteers working with children in a public daycare center, church daycare center, home daycare center, and even for volunteers at summer camp. Parents have become much more protective over their children, and with good cause (Oliveri, 2008). Organizations that hire employees or volunteers are accountable for their actions and must make sure, as best they can, that the people representing them can be trusted with their clients. Employers should be well–informed on the risk of failing to conduct screening checks of potential volunteers or employees, as they may be held legally and morally accountable through vicarious liability. Going through these three prerequisites; (1) the defendant did in fact know what she was doing, so the act was intentional; (2) the defendant had no lawful justification for looking through the plaintiff's private banking records; and (3) any reasonable person would feel the way the plaintiff did if someone they did not know was looking into their bank records 174 times in a four–year period. The court also ruled that in order for a case to qualify under intrusion upon seclusion, the act must have been deliberate and significant (again, the defendant knew what she was doing, and did it 174 times). Many people are not on board with this being recognized as "the limits set by the court aren't clearly definitive" (Gardiner, 2012). One quote that truly shows how this tort being recognized is good news is this: "The term legalization is used to describe the process by which norms are moved from the social to the legal level. Not all social norms become law, in fact, only certain norms, but not others are chosen to be incorporated into the criminal code. Austin T. Turk suggests that there are certain social forces involved in the legalization and creation of legal norms: moral indignation, a high value on order, response to threat, and political tactics." • 57. Nba Finals Essay My Essay Game six of NBA finals: Spurs are up 3 games to 2 against the Miami Heat. It's not looking too good for the Heat who is losing by 3 with 18 seconds left. Miami takes it up James with a three point try. It doesn't go in. Bosh got the rebound passes it to Allen puts up the three and it's good! The Miami Heat later went to win the game and win the finals that year. Basketball is fun because you can have games like this and totally have people on their feet the whole game! You may of heard of Wilt Chamberlain by the 100 point game, or the 2,000 rebound season. These are just two records of 68 records he holds. Golden State Warriors did something this year that no team has done before. In the beginning of the season they won 24 games in a row. That is the best begining record for a basketball team in NBA history. Their first lost was against the Milwaukee Bucks, in Milwaukee. The Bucks caught the Warriors off guard and beat them (108–95). The best begining records before the Warriors beat it was (15–0) held by the 1948 Washington Capitals and the 1993 Houston Rockets. • 59. Present An Example Of Issue In Sport Module 12 1. Present an example of issue in media and sport. Relate information from the lesson to your example. The issue of media in sports that I found very interesting was the difference between sports journalist and broadcaster. These two seem like they are very similar, but in fact they are very different and very gray. As stated in the videos when the individual is doing anything that might be to their advantage they will state that they are a journalist, but when they made a mistake or anything they will say they were commentating or broadcasting. The problem is who is supposedly fact checking and "sports news" and who is strictly there for entertainment. 2. Point out the V,C,R stakes in conflict for the key stakeholders. Be sure to ... The Effect of the Market on the Construction of Music Introduction Manufactured bands now make up a major percentage of chart music today, not least of them Take That, Boyzone, Bad Boys inc., East 17 and other all–boy pop bands. In this essay I would like to discuss how the standard of art has been lowered by the capitalistic system of the music industry, using a specific example – "Upside Down", which is maybe the latest addition to this genre of music. By this genre of music, I mean the all–boy bands which have been specifically manufactured and targeted at the 'teenybopper' age class (and also the gay market?). Personal Opinions To argue that this form of art is 'bad' art, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this case young girls aged roughly between 11 and 16 have been targeted. Having decided this, the next part of the process is, based on what the managers think the consumers want (or what they think they can tell them they want), to tailor make a product to suit the market. In this situation, the question is, "What do girls aged between 11 and 16 want to see when they go to a concert?" The answer is, having experienced the reaction to Take That, Boyzone etc., that they want young boys, in nice clothes, very good looking, very sexy looking, who are going to look great on their bedroom walls when they get their posters out of Smash Hits. So this is exactly what the managers design and produce for them. The four boys that were eventually chosen were picked from the applicannot s who had responded to this advertisement: "Are you between 17 and 21 and good looking? (We're only looking for the best!)" "Do you want to be in a teenage all–boy band sensation?" "Do you want to follow performers like Take that, East 17, Bad Boys inc. and Boyzone into the covers of Just 17 and Smash Hits?" "Do you want to be part of a band selling millions of records?

Another juror study of Doob and Kirshenbaum (1973) supports that s.12 Canadian Evidence Act creates bias as participants rate higher guiltiness level on defendant with criminal record. Diamond (1997) indicates deficiency of deliberation, insufficiency of trial imitation and etc. in jury simulation and also disbelief of court on the simulation. Also, Mook (1983) argues that concern of external validity is unnecessary if researchers do not aim to use experiment result to generalize theoretical assumption to real life situations. Harlow's baby monkeys study mentioned by Mook (1983) states that mother monkeys are composed of wire or terry–cloth. The settings are problematic because it is unrealistic to make wire or terry–cloth figure analogical to fake monkey mothers. The reason why baby monkey clings to the cloth mother might be because it is more comfortable or warmer but not mother love. As baby monkey cannot talk, its feeling is never known. Since the fake monkey mothers do not resemble to the real ones, it seems difficult to draw a sensible findings generalization on attachment of monkey with mother. Although the aim of the experiment is not to generalize the reality, it still needs a setting more similar to real life as required by external validity in order to draw a reasonable findings generalization. Thus, to form findings generalization, we cannot totally neglect the importance of external validity which requires high similarity of settings to the real life. (606 ... • 78. Beginning Your Search for Your Family Tree Many people have, at least at one point in their lives, had great curiosity about family members who came before them and whom they never met. Many of us have a vague notion that we come from immigrants to America who were fleeing a famine in Ireland or war in Europe or Central America, or political persecution in other parts of the world. Still others know that they had family members from another part of the globe who came to America to search for a better life, full of more promising opportunity. Whatever the case, people are drawn to learn more. Starting out to do research on your family tree can seem a bit daunting, if not overwhelming. But there are some simple steps to follow that will get you started. First, start by understanding that most family tree research projects are very long term endeavors. These histories can go back hundreds of years and trace across wide swaths of the globe. And, the path of the research is often not linear; you will likely start and stop and start again on the same line of inquiry over and over as new information becomes available. The best place to start is typically the easiest. There is already quite a bit of long–standing family history embedded in the memories and stories held by your living relatives. You can start by having conversations with them on a one–on–one basis, or by gathering them together in a room. Often times, these stories are so deeply engrained in people that having a conversation going among others helps to spur ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
