Vegfest UK Brighton 2012 Programme
2. Welcome to
VegfestUK Brighton
one of Europe’s biggest veggie
events.
Welcome to VegfestUK Brighton - one of Europe’s biggest veggie events. The
show runs from 11am - 6pm on Saturday March 17th and Sunday March
18th at The Hove Centre, and admission is FREE to the public! VegfestUK
Brighton is packed full of stalls loaded with a vast array of produce including
loads of food, some fantastic bodycare, plenty of fashion items, some of the UK’s
leading veggie campaigners and a wealth of information covering all aspects of
the lifestyle. There’s also some stunning caterers serving up a sublime selection
of sensational dishes, and an awesome display of free samples and tasters from
most of the leading producers of veggie food products. With over 100 stalls
there’s something for everyone, including some genuine savings on a whole
host of products from some major brands such as Nakd, FRY’S, Redwood, Plamil,

The main highlight of VegfestUK Brighton is the food - and there are lashings of it.
There’s 8 specialist caterers at this year’s event with food ranging from exquisite
Lebanese cuisine from K&F Catering to the legendary vegan fish and chips from
Something Fishy - as well as a chance to buy Redwood burgers and sausages
cooked and served in a bun. Plus our firm favourites downstairs - VegOut, with
a stupendous all day a la carte lunch menu, and Aunty Jee with her tantalizing
Curry House. And with other caterers such as Titbits catering, Chipstix and the
Caribbean flavours of Cummin Up, visitors to the show will be amazed at the
quality and diversity of what is in fact 100% plant based food.
But it’s not just the food that shines at VegfestUK Brighton. There’s plenty more

Tony Wardle of Viva! investigates the state of the global environment and finds
it at crisis point. Global warming is blinding us to the other ecological disasters
that threaten our future. Forests are disappearing faster than ever, deserts are
spreading and soil degrading, species extinction is epidemic, nitrogen pollution
is growing and antibiotic-resistant micro-organisms are already killing millions
as superbugs flourish. And, yes, the most immediately threatening of them all is
global warming. The common thread is livestock production for meat and dairy
and a political obsession with constant growth. www.tonywardle.co.uk
