6. Custom Music on Hold
Tenant administrators can configure the audio
being played to PSTN (Public Switched Telephone
Network) callers when they are placed on hold.
This allows departments or a group of users to
customize announcements being played to PSTN
callers on hold.
To enable this, the admin will need to upload the
audio file, configure the teams hold policy
referencing the audio file, and assign the policy to
groups of users.

7. Route calls to unassigned
numbers
You can now ensure that incoming PSTN calls to
phone numbers that are not assigned to a user or
resource account can be redirected to another user, a
call queue, auto attendant, or an announcement.
Tenant admins will configure the phone number or
range and where the call should be routed.

8. Custom call park
You will now be able to have a larger number of parked
calls and will have a broader range for the maximum
time someone will be on hold before ringing back if a
parked call isn’t picked up, also referred to as timeout
value.
Teams admins can configure call park and retrieve
settings, and the range of call pickup numbers can now
be set from 10 to 9999.
Admins are also now able to configure a different call
park timeout value than the default 300 seconds, with
the range available to be set between 120 and 1,800
seconds.

fingertips: Diversify your PSTN infrastructure to include
additional qualified operators.
• Expanded geographic dial-in coverage: Additional
dial-in locations available to support your multi-national

10. Enable core Microsoft Teams
calling functionality on
compatible legacy SIP phones
with SIP Gateway
While Microsoft Teams phone devices provide the
richest and most complete Teams experience, we
understand that there are many customers with
existing investments in legacy devices.
To help customers leverage their existing legacy
telephony hardware as they move to Teams Phone, we
are excited to announce that SIP Gateway, a solution
that enables core Teams calling functionality on
compatible SIP phone models from Cisco, Poly, Yealink
and AudioCodes is now generally available.

Teams experience. Upgrade to Teams phone devices today!
11. Updated Microsoft Teams
Phone SLAs reflect
commitment to quality and
continuity
Microsoft Teams Phone delivers on the promise of
reliable PSTN service through proactive network
monitoring, automated system optimization, and fault-
tolerant redundancy, supported by Microsoft
infrastructure.
Each of these elements play an important role in
developing service level agreements (SLAs) that reflect
our commitment to the continuity of your operations.
We updated the SLAs for Microsoft Teams Calling
Plans, Phone System, and PSTN Audio
Conferencing to 99.99% uptime.

This SLA does not cover outages caused by a failure of third-party software, equipment, or
services not controlled by Microsoft, or Microsoft software not being run by Microsoft as part
of the service (e.g. third-party PBX solutions integrated into Teams.)
