7. RECOMMENDATIONS Counselors will write you a rec if needed by school Fill out the Senior Questionnaire on NAVIANCE for the counselor rec Ask one or two teachers The sooner, the better Thank them! (in person, card, notes, etc) Some teachers will do recommendations online – if this is the case, you don’t have to give them anything If they want to mail recommendations, supply them with addressed, stamped envelope for each school you are applying to. They will mail the recommendations.

IMPORTANT FORMS Transcript Release Form (yellow) Allows us to send your transcript to schools Needs Parent signature Blue Sheets (guess what color…) Fill out one for each school Attach $1 to each form and hand in to Guidance Brag Sheets (on NAVIANCE) Gives us information to write recommendations Parent brag sheet on Parent portal of Naviance

DEADLINES Applications and blue sheets will be accepted in the Guidance Office from Sept. 12, 2011 through Dec. 2, 2011 (STRICT) Applications will resume being taken on Jan. 2, 2012 5 blue sheets per calendar week Applications and blue sheets must be submitted 10 school days BEFORE their deadlines
