Alberto Dumont Research Paper
Alberto was born on July 20, 1873 in the town of Palmira in Brazil. This town is now known as
Santos Dumont. Alberto was the youngest of the 7 children. His father's name is Henrique Dumont,
and his mother is Francisca de Paula Santos. His family owned a coffee plantation. When Alberto
Dumont was 18 his father sent him to Paris where Santos Dumont worked on chemistry, physics,
astronomy, and mechanics. In Alberto's early career he built and flew hot air balloons and early
airships. On October 19, 1901 he won the Deutsch de la Meurthe prize for a flight that rounded the
Eiffel Tower. Then on October 23, 1906 he started working on heavier than air machines. Then he
made a heavier than air plane, named "14–bis" also known as Oiseau de proie

Advertising : An Effective And Efficiency Advertisement
First of all, introducing products to public in order to be able to sell them is not an easy job.
Advertising products to costumers needs a careful and detail thought, where we have to plan every
single aspect to maximize the result and reduce ineffective advertisements. According to Kotler &
Amstrong (2016, p474) states promoting is the nonpersonal presentation of information, which is
normally paid for and typically convincing in nature about products, services or ideas by
distinguished patrons through the different media. In addition, advertising has three essential
objectives, such as informative, which is usually used for introducing a new product, or for an
updated or relaunched a specific product. Next, advertising also can ... Show more content on

Equally important, this report will explain and show how poster and fliers be one of the effective
ways to introduce or promote an event to public. Besides, the process of distribution of the poster
and fliers will be discussed briefly. 1. Discussion and Analysis
2.1 The Preparation of Making Poster and Fliers
Designing poster and fliers is the hardest part to make a stunning poster and fliers. Basically, posters
and flyers are: printed sheets, which are posted in a public area or private workplace (Hampton,
n.d.). The flyer's look is the most important aspect because it will attract the people attention to read
it. Additionally, posters and flyers section is divided into two groups, which are preparation and
distribution group. Pinky, Hehe, and Hui is the preparation group and Habel, William and I belong
to distribution section. In order to create an attractive poster and flyer the preparation group needs to
decide the contents, designs, size of the posters and flyers. They came up with some designs and
discussed with the manager of Saint Vinnies de Paul, Dr. Maureen and classmates to choose the best
design.
According to Black (2013) mentions a good poster has five characteristics, for instance;
It does the task quickly, which means the poster can communicate the information quickly and
efficiently. From the poster above the readers can know directly what is the main information in

Medical Aspects of Running and Running-related Injuries...
Medical Aspects of Running and Running–related Injuries
"Runners are the 'healthiest sick people in the world'", according to ultrarunner Jeff Robbins. In an
email that I received from him he added, "One of the problems with the ultras is that you are always
stressing things to the limits. Therefore problems tend to crop up. Half the fun in this sport is
learning to deal with adversity no matter how it comes." Injury is a runner's most dreaded and
aggravating obstacle. Sometimes no matter how much the mind wills it, the body cannot go on
without causing itself permanent damage. Pushing beyond these limitations will eventually cause
the body to rebel and self–destruct. There are preventative measures that can be taken to stop these

Jason Hodde, Jeff Robbins, Norm Yarger, and Karl King each personally emailed me with insightful
information on running–related injuries. The listserve is such a great interactive source of
information. Who better to learn from but the runners themselves? They are the ones who have to
cope with the injuries. Any amount of personal experience through trial and error is better advice
than book knowledge. This is the reason why so many runners advise that running–related injuries
should be taken to a doctor who has running experience because he will be more inclined to look to
rectify the cause of the injury instead of resorting to surgery.
The best way to prevent injuries from occurring is to take the appropriate precautionary actions. The
first major rule is: don't strain. The majority of running injuries occur from overtraining. It is
important for a runner to incorporate hard days and easy days into his/her exercise routine. You need
to give your body time to rest so that it can repair itself. Fatigue accumulates and if you don't ease
up occasionally, you won't improve. Being overtired will eventually lead to injury because your
body needs a chance to recover and strengthen itself. Also, avoid doing too much too soon. Dr.
Stephen Pribut suggests that "Mileage should usually only be increased approximately ten percent
per week. Every third week, you should drop back a small amount. For most runners one or two
days a week, at least, should be devoted to rest or

Throughout The History Of Mankind, The Greatest Inventors
Throughout the history of mankind, the greatest inventors were the few who paved their own roads
to success and thought outside the box. Orville and Wilbur Wright were no exceptions to this. In
their quest for manned mechanical flight these two men would shock the world of flight with their
new provoking ideas. The wright brothers would go on to design the first sustainable automated
craft. The Wright brothers were arguably the greatest innovators of the 20th century and would go
on to transform man's dream of flying and have a long–lasting effect on flying machines a In 1867

After Orville had dropped out of school the brothers would start the begging's of their innovative
careers. In 1889, the brothers opened a printing business. This may not seem like much but they
ended up designing and building their own printing press they used for their shop. The wright
brothers printing store did well for them they mostly dealt with advertisements and a few
newspapers here and there. Despite the success of the store they desired more than printing as it
became relatively boring to them. It wasn't the idea of printing that was so exciting it was building
the printing press that Orville enjoyed the most. In the 1890s bicycles were starting to get very
popular and Orville and Wilbur were infatuated with them. Orville went even as far entering local
bike races. The brothers found a new passion and in 1893 they would go on to open their own
bicycle shop. This shop mostly sold bicycles but also had a repair shop where they would fix them
up if needed. Most of the bikes they sold were bought from outside companies but they would end
up making a small amount of them on their own in the shop. The bicycle shop did well enough to
relocate to a larger location but 1895. As interested as they were in the bicycle business it wasn't
long lived and would end up closing in 1908, During these years working in their bicycle shop is
when they really took on their interest in flying. In the 1890s there was a man who would fly gliders

THESIS: Wilbur Wright. Wilbur Wright was born in 1867 and was an inventor who with his brother,
Orville, created the first aeroplane. Wilbur Wright faced many challenges along the way and
afterwards, but he also achieved many things. His invention has impacted the entire planet. If he
was alive today, he would probably be running his own company. "It is possible to fly without
motors, but not without knowledge or skill" Wilbur Wright. Wilbur Wright has achieved many
things in his life, such as creating the first aeroplane and flying it and receiving a medal of honour in
1909. As well as these achievements he also led a consequential life where he not only created the
first plane but also with Orville ran a bicycle company and a printing company. The creation of the
first aeroplane changed the world. But as well as achieving these ... Show more content on

"The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who... looked enviously on the
birds soaring freely through space... on the infinite highway of the air." Wilbur Wright and his
brother Orville created the first aeroplane and with it changed the world. Wilbur Wright's invention
has allowed for fast transportation, the ability to move swiftly around the planet and explore the
skies. If the aeroplane had not been invented then it would be impossible to have quick holidays to
the other side of the planet or to be able to travel quickly across seas or deserts. Imagine a world
without aeroplanes... With their invention Wilbur and Orville Wright have truly changed the world.
The quote "If we worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true really is true, then there
would be little hope for advance" shows that if Wilbur and Orville Wright had not created the plane
and tried to do things others said were impossible, then they would not have impacted the world the
way they have and we would not have the transportation that we have now thanks to their invention,

Compare And Contrast Orville And Wright Flyer
A MEANS OF FLYING ASSISTED BY NONE BUT AIR HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED By two
brothers of Dayton, Ohio named Orville and Wilbur Wright, who flew the first powered, controlled
and sustained flying machine near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The Story It was a cold winter's day,
with a strong headwind (up to 21 miles per hour) in Kitty Hawk, NC while the Wright brothers were
preparing their Flyer on its rails. The glorious contraption, named the Wright Flyer, rolled down its
60–foot steel track to what seemed to be a perilous end, but reaching the end it staggered forward
into the air for around twelve seconds. The two men earlier had a coin toss as to who would fly the
machine. Wilbur won, and flew in this aeroplane for the first time, Orville the

How Did The Wright Brothers Change The World
The Invention of the Wright Brothers Did the invention of the airplane by the Wright Brothers,
Orville and Wilbur Wright, make an impact in the world? Through the years many inventions have
been made, but in the early twentieth century an invention was made which created a great impact in
history, the airplane. In one hundred years the airplane has been modified and used to create new
ways of transportation, but the most important thing is its history. The two brothers which are
considered the fathers of modern aviation changed the way people viewed them and the world.
Many people did not recognize that they could do such a thing, but after a few years many saw what
they could do. Wilbur Wright, who was older than Orville Wright, was born on April 16, 1867 near
Millville, Indiana and four years later his brother Orville Wright was born on 1871. In their early
years of their lives Wilbur and Orville Wright had developed the love for aeronautics and flying due
to the fact that their father, Milton Wright, gifted them a toy ... Show more content on

These changes helped their flights last longer and were now able to be used as a way of
transportation. By the year of 1908 they had signed a contract with the U.S. Army for production of
the Wright plane. In 1918 the airmail service began and in 1920 the government established the first
transcontinental airmail service, making a great impact in the nation. Another way in which planes
have made an impact in history was in war, for example, World War 1. The military began using
planes which were loaded with bombs. Planes were used to gather information, machine guns were
put in the planes to have air combats. In the second war, World War II, Germany used powerful
aircraft in their military strategy called blitzkrieg. Another devastating impact that was made with
the use of airplanes was the attack on Pearl

UND Solar Project Analysis
As concerned citizens at University of North Dakota me and my group addressed a money saving
solution to the president, presenting problems the school faces nowadays. Our purpose of the grant
proposal, "UND Solar Project: Saving Money Through Investing in Solar" was to make a plan
implementing and installing 1,000 solar panels at UND in order to save up money in the future. The
project is accurate, because University of North Dakota faces numerous budget cuts and so the
school needs a change in its spending and budget. Budget cuts and spending on logo which does not
seem that important to do currently, makes students losing their sympathy to the school. Since us
students are getting disappointed with the school, the tone of the grant proposal is based on these
upsetting feelings that we have. Budget cuts are evident here – three more athletic programs have
just been cut. "Although this cut will take a toll on the budget deficit situation the University is
currently encountering, it will not fix the debt we are facing. Taking a look at the money spent on
powering this college is quite eye opening to say the least. This is by no means a "small campus".
Granted there are bigger campuses, some three times the size of this one, but this does not dull the
fact that the University of North Dakota spends much of its budget on power, energy, and ... Show

Should not be misunderstood, the questions are not there for the reader to make an argument. Our

spending 300,000 dollars. The purpose is to make profit after the 2nd year of installation. Every
usable month of the panels would save up approximately 66,000 dollars. Meanwhile the savings, it

Summary Of David Mccullough's The Wright Brothers
The Wright Brothers is a biography written by David McCullough, a two time Pulitzer Prize winner.
The book was published by Simon & Schuster in 2015 and has a total of 320 pages. It tells the
journey of Orville and Wilbur Wright, starting from a small printing company to creating several
successful flying machines. In their early years, the brothers moved from place to place and finally
settled in at 7 Hawthorn Street, Dayton, Ohio. In 1889, Orville opened his own printing shop and
had a weekly newspaper called The West Side News. Three years later the brothers opened up a bike
shop to repair and sell bicycles. The shop had a room above it which would later be the birthplace of
their first aircraft. Both brothers were interested in flying because of a little flying toy their father
gave them as a children. Their interest in flying would lead them to follow the works of Otto
Lilienthal. The death of Lilienthal caused them to want to make their own successful flying
machine. They then created a glider and went to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina to test it in strong
winds. Once they returned to Dayton, they built a wind tunnel to test the aerodynamics of their
wings and eventually built and patented an engine. They made several trips ... Show more content

In my opinion, the author described everything in too much detail. For example, the first chapter
opened with two to three hundred words describing a picture of the brothers. I felt it became dull
and very hard to retain what I read. Although the beginning was weak, the rest of the book grew
more interesting to me as I read. It told about their many flights and how they got to be so famous.
One interesting thing about the book was in chapter eight. Wilbur received the plane in crates and
got extremely mad because most of it was broken; he blamed Orville but later found out that it
wasn't his fault. I felt it was an interesting and unexpected look into the character's

Larry E. Tise's Conquering The Sky
Preface Imagine looking up in the sky and not seeing a single plane or satellite. Some people may
not notice it, but seeing planes in the sky has become a natural everyday sight. Without the brothers,
Wilbur and Orville Wright, this may not have been possible. The Wright brothers simple success of
achieving air travel has led to more than they could have possibly imagined. They not only built the
first plane, but they set down a building block towards modern planes and space travel. The Wright
brothers invention of the plane was a major turning point in history, not only leading to modern
aircraft we have today– commercial and war–but also a stepping stone towards space travel.
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright were four years apart. Although
they were only bicycle makers, both brothers had a love of science and kept up with the latest
researchers, one of their favorites being Otto Lilienthal, a German aviator. His work inspired the
brothers to start their own experiments, in hopes to develop a working ... Show more content on

Most people think they know what happened and how it was achieved. However, what most people
don't know is that after the plane successfully flew, they kept it a secret for over a year, as explained
in Larry E. Tise's book, 'Conquering the Sky'. Throughout said year they perfected their plane,
fixing small aspects, but around this time the media had gotten news. To ensure nobody stole their
ideas, from then on they tested in secret, flying as little as possible, and the publicity died down.
Larry E. Tise writes in his book 'Conquering the Sky', "The Wrights had released no picture nor
allowed one to be published of any of their powered airplanes, either on the ground or in flight."
They secretly operated in Kitty Hawk, far from watching eyes. Finally in 1908, the brothers were

Informative Essay On Wright Flyer
Wilbur Wright invented The Wright Flyer on December 17,1903 in Kitty Hawk,North Carolina.
They went to Kitty Hawk because it had strong winds. In 59 seconds it flew 852 feet in the air. To
make the airplane they tested birds on how they flew and they angled there wings. They invented
the airplane because they heard of a German glider pilot Otto Lilienthal and he died in a glider crash
and The Wright Brothers were wanting to decide to start experimenting about flying in 1899. The
Wright brothers did not have any money to make the Wright flyer. They also invented aircraft, and
fixed–wing aircraft. In 1905 they were proud of The Wright Flyer because they sold a airplane to
The United States Army. In 1900 and 1901 they flew 2 gliders and they

The very first motorized aircraft, made by the Wright brothers and named "Flyer I," was a brilliant
vehicle and was the dawn of airplane travel. Since its final flight in 1903, there have been many
different versions of the airplane (which evolved faster than any other mode of travel, which is due
to warfare, as WWI came quickly after its development), all of them for advanced (and safer) than
the Flyer I, however, none of those come first so the Wright brother's plane wins. It contained an
engine that was the first of its time, a wing design that was efficient and effective, and an interesting
control system. The Flyer I was not without faults, though. In fact, it had many. On the other hand, it
had many successes over its flight. The wing design was both innovative and effective, making it

For instance, it was the very first aircraft to use in a aluminum crankcase (a covering over a
crankshaft). Later on, aluminum became commonly used in aircrafts due to its light weight. The
very simple engine produced 12 horsepower, despite not having a fuel pump, carburetor (a device
used in an engine that is used to combine air with liquid fuel), or spark plugs (a device that burns the
air/liquid fuel mixture made by the carburetor). Gasoline was gravity–fed into the engine from a
quart–and–a–half tank that was mounted on a wing strut of an upper wing. From there, the gasoline
fell into a chamber next to the cylinders (a piston chamber in a combustion/steam engine) and mixed
with air. The crankcase would then vaporize the gasoline/air mixture and the mixture would pass
into the cylinders. Now that the mixture was in the cylinders, the plane could be started and clone,
but to start the engine initially, the Wright brothers had to use a coil and four dry–cell batteries that

a wind of between 20 and 25 miles was blowing from the north. We got the machine out early and
put up the signal for the men at the station (McCullough, 85)." It was now Orville's turn to try to fly
their airplane. The first flight lasted about twelve seconds and went a total of one hundred twenty
feet. The plane ended in a downward dart, ending the flight. "The impact cracked one of the skids

Anthony Herman Gerard Fokker, born in the Dutch East Indies, in what is now Indonesia in 1890.
However, the Fokker family soon moved back to their native Holland, where Anthony received his
early primary and early secondary education. Presumably, it was in these early years that Fokker
became intrigued by flight.
"By the time he was 20 years old, while still in Germany, Anthony designed, developed and built his
first aircraft, and then taught himself how to fly it" ("Anthony Herman Gerard Fokker," n.d., para.
3). By the outbreak of World War One in July of 1914, Fokker had set up an aircraft manufacturing
plant and a flight school. Initially, Germany purchased his M.5 fighter, a mono–wing aircraft based
on a French Morane–Saulnier G design utilizing steel tubing and a new airfoil and tail design. In
fact, it was this aircraft that Fokker developed perhaps his most notable invention the
Synchronization Gear. This mechanism allowed the placement of the aircrafts machine guns behind

Adam Pelech In The NHL Draft
The NHL draft, once beyond the second round, can be likened to shooting fish in a barrel, as the
saying goes. There is no clear cut way of determining what the end result of a players potential
really will be once he has gone through the rigors of your organization's development plan. And
that's not to say the development plan is all that shapes the player. There are many other intangibles
and personal factors that come into play as well, ultimately separating the Shea Weber's from the

Orville Wright was born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 19, 1871, while Wilbur was born on April 16,
1867 in Millville, Indiana. Orville Wright was considered the main genius behind designing the
airplane. Neither of them attended college, Wilbur did not go because of a skating accident that he
had, and both of them had to earn money after their mother's death. Their heavier–than–air plane
was made with eight years of research, and one–thousand dollars. The brothers were inventors
throughout their entire lives; they created a printing press, a calculator that could multiply, and a

occupied. Together, they started the industry of aviation worldwide, and they created the basic laws

What Are The Wright Brothers Innovative
The Wright Brothers: Innovators of Flight The concept of flight has intrigued mankind for centuries.

four of their last six games, they have put less than 25 shots on goal. They are 26th in the NHL in
5v5 possession (47.4%) and have a PDO of 100.6, showing they are not garnering results due to
inflated shooting or save percentages. Brock Nelson has no goals in 10 games, collecting only 4
assists in that span. Ryan Strome has 3–2–5 in the same 10–game span, but two goals and three
points came in one game. In six of his past seven games, he is pointless. Anthony Beauvillier has
been a breath of fresh air, working as hard as any forward, but has six goals in 47 games and at 19–
years old, now enters unknown conditioning territory. The Islanders are 20th in the NHL in the
faceoff circle, at 48.7%, and have allowed some bad goals, even lost a couple of games, recently as
a result of not being able to win a big draw. The 'addition by getting healthy' thinking is simply not
good enough at this point, and may not be enough to get the Islanders over the hump and into the
2017 playoffs. Travis Hamonic was struggling mightily before, how about after 20+ games off?
Shane Prince is a nice depth player but nothing other teams are going to fear. Cal

Orville Vs Wright Brothers
Orville and Wilbur Wright are two icons that are recognisable to world of aviation for their big
contribution to the aviation industry. Orville and Wilbur are two American brothers who both grown
up to become inventors and aviation pioneers which their invention eventually gave them the
respect and fame of millions around the world (Wikipedia, 2017). Both brothers were born at
different states in the United States of America where Orville was born in Dayton, Ohio on the 19th
of August 1871 while Wilbur was born in Millville, Indiana on the 16th of April 1867 (Wikipedia,
2017). This clearly shows that Wilbur is older than Orville by four years. According to National
Park Service in Manteo, North Carolina, the date of 17th December 1903 is identified as a
remarkable day in aviation history as it was the day the very first sustainable, self–restraint, and
powered heavier–than–air aircraft took its first official flight located at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

According to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, the Wright Brothers had the
willingness to get familiar and increase their knowledge regarding aeronautics in the year 1899 as
they were aware that the study of aviation was something that involved lots of research as any info
about aviation was limited during that period of time. In that period of time, the Wright Brothers had
organised several experiments which that concept was about the capability of man–carrying

John Alcock's Successful Nonstop Transatlantic Flight
John Alcock, along with Arthur Whitten–Brown, was the first man to make a successful nonstop
transatlantic flight. I picked this topic and these men because they made aviation history, which is
fairly important even if they didn't influence the entirety of aviation. In order to understand how Sir
John Alcock came to be one of the first men to make a transatlantic flight, you first have to
understand his background. He was born on the fifth of November, 1892, in England. He first
became interested in flying at the age of seventeen. Alcock met a man named Maurice Ducrocq,
who took him as a mechanic at the Brooklands aerodrome, where he learned to fly. In November of
1912, Alcock had earned his pilot's license. In the summer of 1914, he completed

Germs Observation Report
Health is not merely the absence of disease or sickness but the state of complete physical, mental,
and social well being, according to the World Health Organization. With that being said, Health is
more then just becoming ill and taking medication. Prevention is better then finding a cure, and
there are many small things that you can do to hinder harmful and infectious germs from entering
your body. One of the main ways to stay away from germs and other harmful microscopic
organisms is to wash your hands. Although it seems useless, our hands play a significant role in the
transportation of germs from one place to another because of the amount we use our hands. Simple
things like washing your hands before and after eating, when using the ... Show more content on

The seminar was successful because the kids were then able to properly show me how to wash their
hands. The seminar also proved to be very effective as the kids were more aware of the millions of
germs or "cooties" all around them. The kids had fun and teaching them how to increase their
chance of remaining, as a Registered Nurse was more then worth it. The community responded
positively to the seminar I held for the children. They persuaded me to come back to talk to other
groups of kids about the importance of washing your hands and to stay away from germs. The
children that participated in the seminar went home to tell their parents and gave them the flyer I
passed out in class. The school took action and started placing more signs in bathrooms and
hallways about the importance of washing hands. The teachers in the school also began having
things like disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizers handy in the classroom. The school saw the
positive reaction from the kids and used it as fuel to create a cleaner environment for them in the
classroom and outdoors. Actions are being taken and going to continue to be taken to ensure the kids
are in the cleanest environment possible. The experience as a whole was very effective but most of
all necessary. The kids were able to properly identify with germs even

Arizona Coyotes Draft Review The Arizona Coyotes have been engaged in a legal squabble with the
city of Glendale over arena issues, but for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft weekend, General Manager
Don Maloney and company were able to put those aside in favor of adding to one of the deepest
prospect groups in the NHL. The Coyotes may not have a marquee name on top of their prospect
pool, but that situation changed with the addition of Dylan Strome. The Erie Otters center will step
out of the limelight behind Connor McDavid and will be presented with an opportunity to prove that
he was worthy of that selection. In the Pacific Division, one that features a number of big–bodied,
first–line centers, Strome fills a need. Beyond that, Maloney had the final pick in the first–round and

Nick Merkley, a fiery winger that sparked the offense on many occasions. Merkley was among a
few shorter players that were considered in the first round of the draft, and while he plays a game
much bigger than his size would dictate, Merkley still had some nerves in the twilight of the first
round. "There's only a few guys who are 5'10" or 5'11", so I was kind of getting nervous about that,"
Merkley said of the supposed size bias. "All the tall guys were going, but I got selected, so I'll try to
take it as it is and just enjoy the moment." Merkley shared the moment with his parents, who had
some trepidation of their own in wondering if they would be coming back for day two of the draft

Wright Brothers Research Paper
The Wright Brothers Introduction: The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were inventors and
pioneers who created the worlds first successful flying airplane that they invented and builded. Their
first recorded flight was on December 17, 1903. Over the next years they continued to develop the
aircraft making a contribution to develop the modern airplane. This contribution was in control of
the airplane through their three– axis control system that is still used today. The Wright Brothers use
the Scientific Method process just like we have learned in school. Key Idea 1 The Wright brothers

They went all the way back to their shop and during the next two years, they built the Flyer II and
then built Flyer III. Flyer III showed to be a much more dependable airplane than the original flyer.
On October 5th, 1905, Wilbur set an endurance record in the Flyer III that flew over 34 miles in 38
minutes. In 1909, they designed the American Wright Company to construct airplanes for the United
States military. The Wright brothers determined to experiment and modify their project until 1912,
when Wilbur died of Typhoid fever. Key Idea 5: To this day, airplane developers still consider the
Wright brothers two of the most successful developers ever. This is due to the fact of how hard they
worked, and all the research that went into their findings. Even where the brother's data failed them,
they didn't give up, they kept trying. Conclusion: The Wright Brothers use the Scientific Method
process just like we have learned in school. The steps of the scientific method include questioning,
research, hypothesis, experiment, data, observations, and conclusions. We first heard of the
scientific method in class with Mr. Sanders. This certain set of steps is what many scientists use to
form their conclusions while doing projects or experiments. David McCullough did a great job
going into detail about the Wright brothers life and their incredible work

United Airlines: A Very Brief History Of Flight
History of Flight Throughout 20th century, two pioneering aviators and inventors, Orville and
Wilbur Wright, turned human's dream of flying into a reality. Although they were not the first to
build and fly an aircraft, the Wright brothers made, the world's first power–driven heavier–than–air
machine and aircraft that could be controlled while in the air. Before aircraft was invented, human
tried to imitate bird's posture to fly across the sky by building ornithopters, which was a designed to
fly by flapping its wings. Therefore, Wright Brothers' invention shaped our culture and changed the
way we view our world . Wright Brothers developed their interest in flying after they read about the
death of a German glider pioneer Otto Lilienthal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This merger gave an opportunity to United to cover its routes in the entire United States. In 1968,
the holding company reorganized and renamed as UAL Corporation. The reorganization led to
United Airlines become a wholly own subsidiary. (5) On the other hand, another America's most
widely recognized airlines, Pan American Airways, also helped the development of airline. Under
the administration of Juan Trippe, founder of Pan American Airways, they launched first regularly
scheduled international flight by U.S. airline and first flying mail between Key West, Florida, and
Havana, and Cuba. At one time, their brandname was one of the most recognized in the world,
second only to Coca–Cola. (6) After graduating from Yale in 1920, Trippe used his father's
inheritance to buy nine Curtiss JN–4 "Jenny", biplanes built by the Curtiss Aeroplane Company, for
Long Island Airways; However, this airline was unable to generate enough revenue and it failed.
Then, Trippe with two wealthy friends from Yale organized another airline, Colonial Air Transport,
after the Air Mail Act of 1925. They won the first airmail contract between New York and Boston.
Nonetheless, they failed again because a dispute among stockholders soon resulted in the sale of the
company and they were excluded from any decision and their airline.

The Impact: The Wright Brothers Flyer Impactd The World
The Wright Brothers' creation of the first plane, the Flyer, made a big impact on the world. Some of
the impacts may not have been positive, but the first plane has definitely affected how the world is
today. In 1893, Orville and Wilbur Wright opened a bike rental and repair shop. As time passed,
their reputation for engineering became bigger and the brothers decided to take on a new challenge,
which was flight. (Wright–brothers.org) Their knowledge of bicycles helped the Brothers produce a
successful aircraft. (airandspace.si.edu) On December 17, 1903, the Flyer was able to fly for 12
seconds. Although this wasn't a very long time, it was the first time in history that an airplane which
could hold a person was able to stay in flight. (National Geographic) Flyer, made by the Wright
Brothers, affected the world in how we travel, send things overseas, and fight wars. Before air
travel, people were not able to travel to other countries quickly. Boats were used to transport goods
to other countries, but they were slow. People had previously designed planes, but they either failed,

Thousands of people every day use the airplane to travel to other countries, for business reasons and

safer compared to the plane the Wright Brothers invented. Right now, the chance of dying in a crash
is less than one in a million, but in the early days, plane crashes occurred more often. Every day,
there are approximately 100,000 flights, and the large planes weigh 575 tonnes, the same as 300
cars. Planes can also now carry more people and can keep in flight for longer. Because of the Wright
Brothers, people are now able to travel quickly to anywhere they want to

After reading about the many parts that Wilbur and Orville went through to create their final

creations made on people. I wanted to learn more about the effects because in one part of the book,
the Wright brothers received a deal from the American military, that stated if they could create a
plane that would fly for 125 miles at the speed of 40 miles per hour and stay in the air for an hour,
the army would buy it for $25,000. This made me think more about the effects that the plane created
for the army because it would give it a counter edge against enemies in World War one. I also would

I forsure know that there was a bigger and better engine needed but unlike the Wright brothers

mechanics used to fly the plane. Another aircraft I would like to learn about is about rockets and
how the idea or mechanics were inspired by an airplane. Another reason I want to continue to learn
about this topic is because I want to find out how you would actually drive the wright brothers plane
and how that is different from the modern plane we know today. I know that for the Wright brothers,
they weren't very safe when it came to flying a plane since once, Orville had an accident with the
engine and his plane came rushing down without any safety drill to help him, I think that today if
that happened, the captains would have a drill unlike the brothers and I would like to learn the
science behind what's happening to the plane or how to avoid it when a plane is about to

How Did Lawrence Sperry Influenced The Invention Of Aviation
A young 15 year old boy in the year of 1909, had attended an airshow that would change his goals
and dreams forever. Lawrence Sperry was very adventurous and intelligent, he was fascinated by the
aviation work and craft. In Mineola, New York, Lawrence and his brother were discovering new
fancies about aircrafts that they never knew at an airshow. Full of curiosity and hope, the Sperry
brothers built their own version of the Voisin in their basement, but realized after the final touches
that they could not fit the wings out. They even manufactured their own steam box. Although they
were very smart kids, they were still very inexperienced with flying. This plane did not have an
engine but was built as a glider. Still curious, they flew up to 150ft of altitude before crashing.

Define in detail the terms invention and innovation. Are there any differences, similarities and
connection between them? Why? As part of your description include an example of each type. The
difference between invention and innovation is an invention is something that can be patentable or
the creation of a new product. An innovation would be a product that has been invented already but
upgraded or enhanced to perform better. Both are similar because each time a product is invented or
innovated a new discovery or creation is perceived. For example, the first invented powered aircraft
was the 1903 Wright Flyer; the Wright brothers patented their plane and kept others from making
recreations or innovations of it. The Wright Flyer used a wing warping design to steer the aircraft. It
was not until later in 1911 the Curtis Pusher was created from the same design, but the only
difference was that it used ailerons and rudders to steer the aircraft, thus creating a new innovation
towards early aviation and broke the patent the Wright brothers had. This gave us a step in the
direction towards innovation in the aviation field and we would not be where we are today without
it. We have certainly came a long way since then; aircraft today are now powered with turbojet
engines and are steered with hydraulic actuated surfaces versus old–school flyby

you have to problem solve never give up. To start of, Orville and Wilbur Wright, the inventors of the
airplane were not actually the first humans to launch an object into flight. They were the first
humans to launch a plane into flight and keep it from crashing. They invented the "three–axis

The American Dream : The Wright Brothers And The Flying...
Have you ever wanted to soar through the air like a bird? Well, the Wright Brothers made it possible
with their flying machine. The two brothers were pioneers of aviation. Nowadays, airplanes are
everywhere; the world would be a completely different place without them. We wouldn't be able to
land on the moon, technology would not have advanced as fast, and the two brothers produced the
original piloted plane that was heavier–than–air in 1903 (Ryan). They are the greatest historical
figures of all time because they revolutionized transportation by making it safer and easier, they
started a new era of warfare, they allowed space travel to be possible, and they demonstrated the
American Dream. The Wright Brothers had an interesting life that led to the inspiration of their
inventions later on. On April 16, 1867, Milton was born in Millville, Indiana; Orville, his brother,
was born on August 19, 1871 in Dayton, Ohio (Ryan). Neither of them attended college, but this did
not diminish their intellectual abilities. Instead, they founded a print shop in 1889 and a bicycle shop
a few years later to make money for their family and themselves. These businesses helped fund their
aeronautical interests. They started off by making kites to observe the basics of flight (Reynolds 44).
After making enough money, they began to experiment with various contraptions that resembled the
German glider created by Otto Lilenthal and Octave Chanute. To help figure out how they would

  • 3. Advertising : An Effective And Efficiency Advertisement First of all, introducing products to public in order to be able to sell them is not an easy job. Advertising products to costumers needs a careful and detail thought, where we have to plan every single aspect to maximize the result and reduce ineffective advertisements. According to Kotler & Amstrong (2016, p474) states promoting is the nonpersonal presentation of information, which is normally paid for and typically convincing in nature about products, services or ideas by distinguished patrons through the different media. In addition, advertising has three essential objectives, such as informative, which is usually used for introducing a new product, or for an updated or relaunched a specific product. Next, advertising also can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Equally important, this report will explain and show how poster and fliers be one of the effective ways to introduce or promote an event to public. Besides, the process of distribution of the poster and fliers will be discussed briefly. 1. Discussion and Analysis 2.1 The Preparation of Making Poster and Fliers Designing poster and fliers is the hardest part to make a stunning poster and fliers. Basically, posters and flyers are: printed sheets, which are posted in a public area or private workplace (Hampton, n.d.). The flyer's look is the most important aspect because it will attract the people attention to read it. Additionally, posters and flyers section is divided into two groups, which are preparation and distribution group. Pinky, Hehe, and Hui is the preparation group and Habel, William and I belong to distribution section. In order to create an attractive poster and flyer the preparation group needs to decide the contents, designs, size of the posters and flyers. They came up with some designs and discussed with the manager of Saint Vinnies de Paul, Dr. Maureen and classmates to choose the best design. According to Black (2013) mentions a good poster has five characteristics, for instance; It does the task quickly, which means the poster can communicate the information quickly and efficiently. • 4. Medical Aspects of Running and Running-related Injuries... Medical Aspects of Running and Running–related Injuries "Runners are the 'healthiest sick people in the world'", according to ultrarunner Jeff Robbins. In an email that I received from him he added, "One of the problems with the ultras is that you are always stressing things to the limits. Therefore problems tend to crop up. Half the fun in this sport is learning to deal with adversity no matter how it comes." Injury is a runner's most dreaded and aggravating obstacle. Sometimes no matter how much the mind wills it, the body cannot go on without causing itself permanent damage. Pushing beyond these limitations will eventually cause the body to rebel and self–destruct. There are preventative measures that can be taken to stop these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jason Hodde, Jeff Robbins, Norm Yarger, and Karl King each personally emailed me with insightful information on running–related injuries. The listserve is such a great interactive source of information. Who better to learn from but the runners themselves? They are the ones who have to cope with the injuries. Any amount of personal experience through trial and error is better advice than book knowledge. This is the reason why so many runners advise that running–related injuries should be taken to a doctor who has running experience because he will be more inclined to look to rectify the cause of the injury instead of resorting to surgery. The best way to prevent injuries from occurring is to take the appropriate precautionary actions. The first major rule is: don't strain. The majority of running injuries occur from overtraining. It is important for a runner to incorporate hard days and easy days into his/her exercise routine. You need to give your body time to rest so that it can repair itself. Fatigue accumulates and if you don't ease up occasionally, you won't improve. Being overtired will eventually lead to injury because your body needs a chance to recover and strengthen itself. Also, avoid doing too much too soon. Dr. Stephen Pribut suggests that "Mileage should usually only be increased approximately ten percent per week. Every third week, you should drop back a small amount. For most runners one or two days a week, at least, should be devoted to rest or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Throughout The History Of Mankind, The Greatest Inventors Throughout the history of mankind, the greatest inventors were the few who paved their own roads to success and thought outside the box. Orville and Wilbur Wright were no exceptions to this. In their quest for manned mechanical flight these two men would shock the world of flight with their new provoking ideas. The wright brothers would go on to design the first sustainable automated craft. The Wright brothers were arguably the greatest innovators of the 20th century and would go on to transform man's dream of flying and have a long–lasting effect on flying machines a In 1867 Wilbur wright was born the third of seven wright children. After Orville had dropped out of school the brothers would start the begging's of their innovative careers. In 1889, the brothers opened a printing business. This may not seem like much but they ended up designing and building their own printing press they used for their shop. The wright brothers printing store did well for them they mostly dealt with advertisements and a few newspapers here and there. Despite the success of the store they desired more than printing as it became relatively boring to them. It wasn't the idea of printing that was so exciting it was building the printing press that Orville enjoyed the most. In the 1890s bicycles were starting to get very popular and Orville and Wilbur were infatuated with them. Orville went even as far entering local bike races. The brothers found a new passion and in 1893 they would go on to open their own bicycle shop. This shop mostly sold bicycles but also had a repair shop where they would fix them up if needed. Most of the bikes they sold were bought from outside companies but they would end up making a small amount of them on their own in the shop. The bicycle shop did well enough to relocate to a larger location but 1895. As interested as they were in the bicycle business it wasn't long lived and would end up closing in 1908, During these years working in their bicycle shop is when they really took on their interest in flying. • 6. Wlbur Wright Research Paper THESIS: Wilbur Wright. Wilbur Wright was born in 1867 and was an inventor who with his brother, Orville, created the first aeroplane. Wilbur Wright faced many challenges along the way and afterwards, but he also achieved many things. His invention has impacted the entire planet. If he was alive today, he would probably be running his own company. "It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge or skill" Wilbur Wright. Wilbur Wright has achieved many things in his life, such as creating the first aeroplane and flying it and receiving a medal of honour in 1909. As well as these achievements he also led a consequential life where he not only created the first plane but also with Orville ran a bicycle company and a printing company. The creation of the first aeroplane changed the world. But as well as achieving these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who... looked enviously on the birds soaring freely through space... on the infinite highway of the air." Wilbur Wright's invention has allowed for fast transportation, the ability to move swiftly around the planet and explore the skies. If the aeroplane had not been invented then it would be impossible to have quick holidays to the other side of the planet or to be able to travel quickly across seas or deserts. Imagine a world without aeroplanes... With their invention Wilbur and Orville Wright have truly changed the world. The quote "If we worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true really is true, then there would be little hope for advance" shows that if Wilbur and Orville Wright had not created the plane and tried to do things others said were impossible, then they would not have impacted the world the way they have and we would not have the transportation that we have now thanks to their invention, the ... The Story It was a cold winter's day, with a strong headwind (up to 21 miles per hour) in Kitty Hawk, NC while the Wright brothers were preparing their Flyer on its rails. The glorious contraption, named the Wright Flyer, rolled down its 60–foot steel track to what seemed to be a perilous end, but reaching the end it staggered forward into the air for around twelve seconds. • 8. How Did The Wright Brothers Change The World The Invention of the Wright Brothers Did the invention of the airplane by the Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur Wright, make an impact in the world? Through the years many inventions have been made, but in the early twentieth century an invention was made which created a great impact in history, the airplane. In one hundred years the airplane has been modified and used to create new ways of transportation, but the most important thing is its history. The two brothers which are considered the fathers of modern aviation changed the way people viewed them and the world. Many people did not recognize that they could do such a thing, but after a few years many saw what they could do. Wilbur Wright, who was older than Orville Wright, was born on April 16, 1867 near Millville, Indiana and four years later his brother Orville Wright was born on 1871. In their early years of their lives Wilbur and Orville Wright had developed the love for aeronautics and flying due to the fact that their father, Milton Wright, gifted them a toy ... Another way in which planes have made an impact in history was in war, for example, World War 1. The military began using planes which were loaded with bombs. Planes were used to gather information, machine guns were put in the planes to have air combats. UND Solar Project Analysis As concerned citizens at University of North Dakota me and my group addressed a money saving solution to the president, presenting problems the school faces nowadays. Our purpose of the grant proposal, "UND Solar Project: Saving Money Through Investing in Solar" was to make a plan implementing and installing 1,000 solar panels at UND in order to save up money in the future. The project is accurate, because University of North Dakota faces numerous budget cuts and so the school needs a change in its spending and budget. Budget cuts and spending on logo which does not seem that important to do currently, makes students losing their sympathy to the school. Since us students are getting disappointed with the school, the tone of the grant proposal is based on these upsetting feelings that we have. Budget cuts are evident here – three more athletic programs have just been cut. "Although this cut will take a toll on the budget deficit situation the University is currently encountering, it will not fix the debt we are facing. Taking a look at the money spent on powering this college is quite eye opening to say the least. This is by no means a "small campus". Granted there are bigger campuses, some three times the size of this one, but this does not dull the fact that the University of North Dakota spends much of its budget on power, energy, and ... • 10. Summary Of David Mccullough's The Wright Brothers The Wright Brothers is a biography written by David McCullough, a two time Pulitzer Prize winner. The book was published by Simon & Schuster in 2015 and has a total of 320 pages. It tells the journey of Orville and Wilbur Wright, starting from a small printing company to creating several successful flying machines. In their early years, the brothers moved from place to place and finally settled in at 7 Hawthorn Street, Dayton, Ohio. In 1889, Orville opened his own printing shop and had a weekly newspaper called The West Side News. Three years later the brothers opened up a bike shop to repair and sell bicycles. The shop had a room above it which would later be the birthplace of their first aircraft. Both brothers were interested in flying because of a little flying toy their father gave them as a children. Their interest in flying would lead them to follow the works of Otto Lilienthal. The death of Lilienthal caused them to want to make their own successful flying machine. They then created a glider and went to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina to test it in strong winds. Once they returned to Dayton, they built a wind tunnel to test the aerodynamics of their wings and eventually built and patented an engine. They made several trips ... Although the beginning was weak, the rest of the book grew more interesting to me as I read. It told about their many flights and how they got to be so famous. One interesting thing about the book was in chapter eight. Wilbur received the plane in crates and got extremely mad because most of it was broken; he blamed Orville but later found out that it wasn't his fault. • 11. Larry E. Tise's Conquering The Sky Preface Imagine looking up in the sky and not seeing a single plane or satellite. Some people may not notice it, but seeing planes in the sky has become a natural everyday sight. Without the brothers, Wilbur and Orville Wright, this may not have been possible. The Wright brothers simple success of achieving air travel has led to more than they could have possibly imagined. They not only built the first plane, but they set down a building block towards modern planes and space travel. The Wright brothers invention of the plane was a major turning point in history, not only leading to modern aircraft we have today– commercial and war–but also a stepping stone towards space travel. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright were four years apart. Although they were only bicycle makers, both brothers had a love of science and kept up with the latest researchers, one of their favorites being Otto Lilienthal, a German aviator. His work inspired the brothers to start their own experiments, in hopes to develop a working ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most people think they know what happened and how it was achieved. Throughout said year they perfected their plane, fixing small aspects, but around this time the media had gotten news. To ensure nobody stole their ideas, from then on they tested in secret, flying as little as possible, and the publicity died down. Larry E. Tise writes in his book 'Conquering the Sky', "The Wrights had released no picture nor allowed one to be published of any of their powered airplanes, either on the ground or in flight." They secretly operated in Kitty Hawk, far from watching eyes. Finally in 1908, the brothers were ready to become public with the invention that would change the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 59 seconds it flew 852 feet in the air. To make the airplane they tested birds on how they flew and they angled there wings. They invented the airplane because they heard of a German glider pilot Otto Lilienthal and he died in a glider crash and The Wright Brothers were wanting to decide to start experimenting about flying in 1899. The Wright brothers did not have any money to make the Wright flyer. They also invented aircraft, and fixed–wing aircraft. Since its final flight in 1903, there have been many different versions of the airplane (which evolved faster than any other mode of travel, which is due to warfare, as WWI came quickly after its development), all of them for advanced (and safer) than the Flyer I, however, none of those come first so the Wright brother's plane wins. It contained an engine that was the first of its time, a wing design that was efficient and effective, and an interesting control system. The Flyer I was not without faults, though. In fact, it had many. On the other hand, it had many successes over its flight. The wing design was both innovative and effective, making it tremendous for the first ever motorized flight. For ... Later on, aluminum became commonly used in aircrafts due to its light weight. The very simple engine produced 12 horsepower, despite not having a fuel pump, carburetor (a device used in an engine that is used to combine air with liquid fuel), or spark plugs (a device that burns the air/liquid fuel mixture made by the carburetor). Gasoline was gravity–fed into the engine from a quart–and–a–half tank that was mounted on a wing strut of an upper wing. From there, the gasoline fell into a chamber next to the cylinders (a piston chamber in a combustion/steam engine) and mixed with air. The crankcase would then vaporize the gasoline/air mixture and the mixture would pass into the cylinders. Now that the mixture was in the cylinders, the plane could be started and clone, but to start the engine initially, the Wright brothers had to use a coil and four dry–cell batteries that were not kept on the ... At 10:00 a.m. the brothers put up a signal for the men in the lifesaving station to get ready for them to fly again. "When we got up a wind of between 20 and 25 miles was blowing from the north. We got the machine out early and put up the signal for the men at the station (McCullough, 85)." It was now Orville's turn to try to fly their airplane. The first flight lasted about twelve seconds and went a total of one hundred twenty feet. The plane ended in a downward dart, ending the flight. Anthony Herman Gerard Fokker, born in the Dutch East Indies, in what is now Indonesia in 1890. However, the Fokker family soon moved back to their native Holland, where Anthony received his early primary and early secondary education. Presumably, it was in these early years that Fokker became intrigued by flight. "By the time he was 20 years old, while still in Germany, Anthony designed, developed and built his first aircraft, and then taught himself how to fly it" ("Anthony Herman Gerard Fokker," n.d., para. 3). By the outbreak of World War One in July of 1914, Fokker had set up an aircraft manufacturing plant and a flight school. Initially, Germany purchased his M.5 fighter, a mono–wing aircraft based on a French Morane–Saulnier G design utilizing steel tubing and a new airfoil and tail design. In fact, it was this aircraft that Fokker developed perhaps his most notable invention the Synchronization Gear. An innovation would be a product that has been invented already but upgraded or enhanced to perform better. Both are similar because each time a product is invented or innovated a new discovery or creation is perceived. For example, the first invented powered aircraft was the 1903 Wright Flyer; the Wright brothers patented their plane and kept others from making recreations or innovations of it. The Wright Flyer used a wing warping design to steer the aircraft. It was not until later in 1911 the Curtis Pusher was created from the same design, but the only difference was that it used ailerons and rudders to steer the aircraft, thus creating a new innovation towards early aviation and broke the patent the Wright brothers had. Same thing with the mousetrap anybody can go to a hardware store and buy mouse traps but there also not always the best ones, so that means they can be improved. When you have to problem solve never give up. To start of, Orville and Wilbur Wright, the inventors of the airplane were not actually the first humans to launch an object into flight. They were the first humans to launch a plane into flight and keep it from crashing. They invented the "three–axis control" which allows the plane to point up or down, curve from side to side, ... • 37. Kit Flew Research Paper small toy "helicopter" made of wood with two twisted rubber bands to turn a small propeller. Wilbur and Orville played with it until it broke, then mad sold toys to their friends, THEY BELIEVED THEY COULD FLY BY C.S. Frye Up, up, and away! The toy helicopter soared above Orville and Wilbur Wright. Rubber bands twirled the blades of the cork and bamboo toy shooting toward the ceiling. They held their breath, as they tracked it with their eyes. Then it fluttered down, down, down. Orville and Wilbur played with the toy their father had given them until it broke. Then they examined the bamboo, cork and paper held together with two rubber bands. They made copies for their friends. And copies to sale. Every day they read science journals, studied books and experimented. And every night, they dreamed of soaring like the birds. As they grew older, they experimented on many things; bicycles, kites and gliders. They learned by trial and error. They also learned to keep special notes to improve every new experiment. Birds flew. Kites flew. Someday, they would fly too. Wilbur flew one of their first kites at a nearby ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After struggling with several more test flights, they added a moveable rudder to control the end of the plane. Finally, all test flights seemed successful. Now they were ready to actually climb aboard. A pilot–controlled flight of a power–driven airplane was sure to work. Orville won the coin toss to pilot the test flight. Orville fought the wind to strap himself between the wings. Wilbur sat on a sand dune taking notes. Orville's fingers tightened around the half–frozen control strap. He yanked it loose and felt the air lift the wings as the plane lifted off the ground. He shifted the wheel left, but it swooshed far left. He swung it right to straighten the plane in the wind, but it swooshed far right and nosedived into the sand. Orville emerged unharmed. Wilbur shook his head and made a new note. Notes: Check! • 38. What Are The Roles And Responsibility For The Rolds? If companies or people wish to donate money, all checks or money orders would need to be payable to SEICAA. If money is donated, a log would need to be kept indicating the donator's name and the amount that they donated. Aside from that, supplies or clothing can be bought but all receipts would have to be put with the log to keep track of what was bought. Each person will have roles and responsibly for five boxes. Klea and Blythe will be responsible for the Pocatello area, Ariana will be responsible for the Blackfoot/Firth area and Brenda will be responsible for the Idaho Falls/Rigby area: a. Blythe will contact small business owners for either cash donations or items listed. She will also contact her local LDS church organizer for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This took some time, and objections rose because some said they are previously only able to work with their own charity. No, they could not put a box in their lobby, or they could only put them in the back with the employees. It seemed to me this was a challenge, so after discussing with our group we dropped off our boxes to the areas where we found the permission and support to bring the awareness to our cause. The big white boxes were made with our flyer poster on the front to provide a professional design. They were set out in the lobbies at both locations of Connections credit union, SEI credit union, and in the back–employee lounge for Fred Meyer, and Well Fargo for the customers and employees to see and to fill. In the meantime, with the support of Blythe I went to the radio station KZBQ/ KORE 104 to bring awareness for SEICAA. I was asked to perform a voice script on the air. The radio station contacted SEICAA, and their representative Andrew Johnson who is the supervisor for their office. The radio station verified, and asked him if he was willing to also speak on the air about what we are trying to accomplish. He voiced his support of our project, yet declined to speak on the air. I met with the production assistant, and completed 4 takes to get the recording to a limited 30 seconds which is the allotted time for any free advertisements. I was ... • 39. The American Dream : The Wright Brothers And The Flying... Have you ever wanted to soar through the air like a bird? Well, the Wright Brothers made it possible with their flying machine. The two brothers were pioneers of aviation. Nowadays, airplanes are everywhere; the world would be a completely different place without them. We wouldn't be able to land on the moon, technology would not have advanced as fast, and the two brothers produced the original piloted plane that was heavier–than–air in 1903 (Ryan). They are the greatest historical figures of all time because they revolutionized transportation by making it safer and easier, they started a new era of warfare, they allowed space travel to be possible, and they demonstrated the American Dream. The Wright Brothers had an interesting life that led to the inspiration of their inventions later on. On April 16, 1867, Milton was born in Millville, Indiana; Orville, his brother, was born on August 19, 1871 in Dayton, Ohio (Ryan). Neither of them attended college, but this did not diminish their intellectual abilities. Instead, they founded a print shop in 1889 and a bicycle shop a few years later to make money for their family and themselves. These businesses helped fund their aeronautical interests. They started off by making kites to observe the basics of flight (Reynolds 44). After making enough money, they began to experiment with various contraptions that resembled the German glider created by Otto Lilenthal and Octave Chanute. To help figure out how they would make their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
