My Family Experience
It was a hot and humid afternoon as my family and I stepped out of the airplane and walked towards the immigration line. A reunion was planned a
year in advance for my mother and father's golden anniversary. Their wish was for the whole family to come together from different parts of the
globe to celebrate for a few weeks. As we stood and waited at the long line to enter our homeland, I imagined how much it had changed since I last
stepped foot back home. We came home in 1992. I already imagined the food I planned to eat, the places I planned to see, and the people I hadn't seen
for some time. It felt nostalgic. I felt a rush of excitement. Traffic, I must say, was extremely horrid. Instead of having a twenty–minute commute from

It seems as though the Whipples take advantage of their son's retardation. They never speak directly to Him, and refer to their son only as "He"

symbolic wall stands between the neighbors, they will always be separated. Earlier in the poem, Frost uses the symbolism of a rabbit to seemingly
reinforce this point. The hunters must destroy the wall in order to "have the rabbit out of hiding". The men, in turn must break down the walls between

The type of this book is action, mystery. The plot of the story takes place in Peru, South America. Though the author does not specify a year, based on
the technology used in the story ( airplanes, computers, guns, cars etc) we can assume it took place roughly in the late 1900 – Early 2000.
There are three main characters presented in the book. Tom Trelawney, Harvey Trelawney, and Otto Gonzalez. Tom Trelawney is a brave, curios,
and well hearted boy. He lives with his family in Connecticut. In option he is brave because he takes large risk fighting criminals and exploring

Otto demands a refund on the fake painting that Harvey sold him. He threatens to injure him if he doesn't give the refund. After some negotiating by
Otto and Harvey agree to split some of the treasure for the payment. Otto also offers Harvey and Tom to stay at his tower. After settling, Harvey tell
Tom they need to escape because Otto is known to kill out his enemies right away. Tom and Harvey escape the clutches of Otto. After a long search,
they find the merchant and ask where he bought the necklace. He gives them a location of a farm. They go to the farm and buy wrapping paper, which is
actually part of a treasure, from the natives. Once they put the paper together they discover it is the journal of John Drake, Francis Drake's young
cousin. The journal gives the location of the island with the buried treasure. However the island is currently a prison for the worst villains in the world.
After they reach the island they constantly have keep escaping Otto and his men many times throughout the book. At one point Otto takes the treasure
from Tom, however the treasure got sunk on Otto boat. At the end of the book there is a final dual between Tom and Otto. Tom and Harvey are
driving and Otto is standing in their way with a gun. Otto is shooting at the windshield. Tom pushes the petal and runs Otto over. Then Tom and

In the novel, A Man Called Ove written by Fredrik Backman, Ove, an old man, is living in Sweden. He lives on a private road in old town homes.
His neighbors were old friends, but now they are moving to retirement homes and new more modern people are moving in. Patrick and Parvaneh are
one of the new couples that moved in. They have little children and Ove will become very close to them because of traumatic events. 'White Men"
are the authority in the book. They try and come into the neighborhood and take everything away from Ove and his neighbors. Ove lives in a
neighborhood with very strict rules that he likes to keep to. For example, motor vehicles are prohibited, so when the new neighbors bring their car in

To start off, a part I did not like about the book was the part about Ove's dad. I felt as though this complicated the plot a lot and was not necessary to
the base of the book. It did not need to be added into the book because it had no effect to my understanding of what was happening in the book. If
anything it made me more confused because it went back in time, then it came back to the present and it was confusing what time period we were
in at the moment. A good part of the book was when Parvaneh was becoming friends with Ove because he needed to get out of his daily routine.
Ove needed someone to shake up the life he had been living for many years. I would not recommend this book to adolescents because the book was
confusing at some points and the humor was guided towards the adults. Personally, I would read another book by Fredrik Backman because the
book was still very well written. I also could understand the book, for the most part. To continue, this book would be better read by adults because
the humor was more guided to that age group. Also, this book is still relevant today because people do not live forever. We have to learn to move on
from the bad times just like Ove did. When a loved one dies we feel grief, but like Ove we use the people around us to begin to feel better about what
happened to us. In conclusion, this was a good book and I would rate it three out of five

The Life Of My Life
Living in a house for eight years straight, sometimes you tend to forget about some things. Maybe it's the odor of your three–year–old puppy who
sleeps on your couch day–in and day–out, or your crumbled up bed sheets that your mom tells you to fix every morning. It could even be the sweet
fragrance of homemade cinnamon rolls that fill your body up to the brim with happiness and joy. But for me, the shouts and yells were never
drowned out. I started to think it was normal that roars echoed all about a considerable amount of times. Nothing would change, but like the hollers, I
will never forget the day my life shattered into a million pieces. It had been a million degrees that day and the grass was starting to die off.
My neighborhood was, for the most part, mellow and sociable, with the exception of a few brawls here and there between kids. We would fight over
toys and who got to sit where in the Climbing Tree. However, I never really paid close enough attention to realize that the adults fought too. Not with
other neighbors, but within my own family. Sometimes when it got bad, my mom urged me to go play with the neighbors with a pained expression that I
was inattentive to. I was too young and too naive to understand why my mother had looked melancholy whenever she had a chat with my dad. One
day it got so heated that flames erupted in our backyard. No one knew how it started, yet people were also too busy scavenging through their houses to
