Case Analysis Regulatory Review Commission Essay
Executive Summary
This case deals with the unstable work environment at the RRC Operations office in particular
between Monique Ricard and Brian Coffey. Brian's work habits are poor and are becoming a
detriment to office workflow. Now Monique must decide what to do with the employee whether to
discharge, request a transfer or request a continuation of his probationary period.
The problems that Monique is facing with Brian include tardy assignments and lack of discipline in
terms of punctuality around the office. He is continually handing in assignments either right at
deadlines or exceeding them. In addition he has had unexplained prolonged absences in recent time.
The causes from these problems could be stemming from a number of ... Show more content on

Causes
There is a lack of fit between process/systems. the fact that this office is run through the government
it makes it hard for employees to be discharged involuntarily. Government jobs usually bring with
them a more stable environment and due to this discharging an employee in this department
becomes extremely frustrating. Brian's last supervisor noted the drawbacks in his workmanship but
only voiced these concerns in person. No formal written complaints were ever filed, instead he was
merely passed along to another department. Also a policy stating that when no more work is
required, everything will be done to get them another job of comparable skill when instead they
could simply offload these workers.
There is a lack of fit between structure. After reviewing the RRC staff organization chart it can be
seen that they are understaffed. When three out of the eight positions available are currently vacant a
problem may arise. Monique may think she is giving Brian sufficient time for his assignment but
these allotted times are most likely done in figures where the office is fully staffed. Brian may be
taking longer than apparently needed due to the lack of additional coworkers in the office.
There is a lack of fit between processes. Brian is a young man and seems not sure yet about his life
plans evidenced by the scattering

The Secretary Chant
In this poem Marge Piercy s speaker evokes a concrete vision of a woman who has lost her personal
identity to her job. Her bold and descriptive use of metaphors allow the reader to envision a woman
who is living her life vicariously through her career. Ms. Piercy successfully uses paradox,
personification, and the pun to bring the character alive. With the use of metaphors, both implied
and explicit, the reader can deeply empathize with the central character of this poem.
From the first line of the poem the tone is set for the reader. It is not so vague as to use a simple
simile, but a strong manifestation of the idea of the speaker as an actual personification of a material
object. She does not say My hips are like a desk , she says ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Often times the secretary or office assistant are seen as nothing more than robotic extensions
completely devoid of human qualities. Press my fingers (11) is an instruction to her boss explaining
exactly how she is to provide a function as if she was explaining how to operate any other piece of
office equipment. Like any secretary she would have to organize an office and explain to her boss
where things were to be found when she was out of the office. From my mouth issue canceled reams
(16).
She is clearly telling her boss where he would find the used paper and closed files but the pun
intended is that whatever she tells her boss is ignored anyway.
By the time the reader gets to the end of the poem the secretary is fully developed as an inanimate
machine, Swollen, heavy (17). She has given up trying to be human and has resigned herself to the
fact that she has been taken over completely by the machines that surround her. Metaphorically
speaking, with the use of metonymy, the secretary, now as a machine herself is about to be delivered
/ of a baby Xerox machine (18–20), thus perpetuating a species of human machines.
In the final four lines, the secretary decries that I wonce was a woman and that she needs to be filed
under W . She is again giving instructions to her boss that she now serves no real function as a
woman and should just be filed away and forgotten. In this way, Ms.

Essay About Work
Work can cause many issues with oneself and society. There can be a inner struggle in someone if
they don't like their job. Society can cause the discussion of jobs to become a controversial topic. In
the poems "Lady In The Pink Mustang" by Louise Erdrich, "The Restaurant Business" by James
Tate, and "So Mexicans Are Taking Jobs From Americans" by Jimmy Santiago Baca, the authors use
divisions and conflicts to make readers see a bigger picture.
In the poem "The Lady in the Pink Mustang" by Louise Erdrich the speaker tells the story of a
women in a pink mustang whos job seems to be working as a prostitute. Erdrich wants the readers to
get a sense that the women does not care much for her job but continues to do it. It can be
understood that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
None of these poems have a hidden meaning and each author had a significant way of showing the
meaning. Erich and Baca follow the template of poetry. Whereas, Tate uses the template of poetry in
story form. In all of these works readers can find that the speakers have an argument. In "The Lady
In The Pink Mustang" the speaker explains in the end that she is not proud of her job but she has to
make a living somehow and until she runs out of money she will do what she has to. In "The
Restaurant Business" Tate parallels to Erdrich by having the restaurant owner pose the argument that
though he works for his own sadness, if he choices to leave the business he loses his seat of having a
title and even though he hates to work that's the only bit of happiness he has left. Lastly the speaker
in Baca's poem constructs a real life argument and turns the whole piece of work in a political poem
by arguing the discussion of jobs in America. All of these works show that work is hard but it is real
and sometimes it is not a realistic job and not everyone will agree with the job title or job

The Music And Arts Festival
Go with the flow I have been to multiple concerts before but nothing compares to the Resonance
Music and Arts Festival, a weekend long camp out of like–minded, motived, music loving
individuals. In simpler terms, modern day hippies. These hippies focus more on medication,
dancing, and yoga as a way to reach the ultimate state of joy. The people around me, the clothing
they wore, the smell of weed that filled the air, and the music that blared through the speakers were
all things I will never forget about that summer weekend. The life style of hundreds of individuals in
a crowd was different from anything I had ever laid my eyes on. Although I never imagined to be in
a new environment, I had no choice. I My dad works for Budweiser, the ... Show more content on

Suddenly I could not take my eyes off what was in front of me. Hammocks were hung from trees
and even hung from car mirrors. There were hippies sleeping in, and on their cars. I saw people
cooking on small grills, selling food right from the trunk of their car. A simple sign that read, "Fish
tacos." I was memorized by all the booths that lined the entrances of Legend Valley. People sold
paintings, jewelry, tie dyed bags, shirts, skirts, and head bands. I made my dad stop at one booth
because I saw a dress that I absolutely loved. It was priced at $30. When I paid for my purchase the
woman expressed how grateful she was that I was buying her clothing because that is how she made
a living. She told me the story of how she lives in her car, and travels to these festivals. I felt sad for
a brief moment until I realized this was her calling and she was truly happy. It inspired me to
appreciate the little things that surround me.
Also there were hundreds of tents on the opposite side of our camper, each one a bright color with
some article of tie dye draped over it. In front of the tents sat chairs, empty. I asked my dad, "Where
is everyone?" He just chuckled and said, "You'll see them when we attend the concert."
When we made our way back to the camper, there was a car full of young modern day hippies

Motivation And Performance Involving Mechanical Skills
Motivation provides individuals the drive to behave and act in a certain way in order to influence
their work environments (Robbins & Judge, 2014, pp. 35–36). When employees are able to
influence their work environments, they can make a psychological identity with their organization
that provides a sense of purpose, or meaningfulness, to their existence in their job performance and
involvement (Robbins & Judge, 2014, pp. 35–36). Thus, providing employees with a higher level of
job satisfaction. To promote higher levels of job satisfaction, involvement and performance,
managers will utilize motivational strategies to encourage their employees to perform certain tasks
(McCoy, 2012, p. 2). However, managers are recognizing that traditional incentives are no longer
providing the results of behavioral physics in their organization (McCoy, 2012, p. 3). To address this
dilemma, managers are looking at motivational strategies where the incentives psychologically
empower their employees in their daily activities. Problem In Dan Pink's YouTube video, he
discusses how incentivizing performance involving mechanical skills follows with the laws of
behavioral physics, which is, if one rewards an individual for their performance, they receive more
of the behavior (2010). Conversely, if they do not get rewarded, then they get less of the behavior
(Pink, 2010). However, this is not the case for individuals performing rudimentary cognitive skills
(Pink, 2010). Pink explains the

Burnout Self-Test
I work in a customer contact center with about 13 direct reports, who all speak with customers
throughout the day. Typically customers have an issue that needs resolving, which is why they called
into our customer service department. Dealing with a number of hostile customers can produce a
great amount of stress in a work environment, especially when these customers are escalated to
supervisors for assistance. However, the ability to handle stress is a technique that has to be
exercised when dealing with customers, because having that control will assist in retaining
customers and providing them quality customer service. My results from the burnout self–test
revealed, "little sign of burnout here, unless some factors are particularly severe" ("Burnout Test",
n.d.). From taking the quiz, I learned that I am not as overwhelmed as I sometimes feel. I take more
control over outcomes than I feel that I do during stressful times. Sometimes when you are in the
mist of stressful times, you can not really gauge or determine how well you are dealing with
situations, but this test helped me but things into a better perspective. Future steps I will take to
ensure stress does not negatively affect my ability to be a productive and effective employee is to ...

The Interrelationship Between The Overcoat And Gogol
The interrelationship between "The Overcoat," written by Nikolai Gogol, and "Gogol," written by
Jhumpa Lahiri, may not be apparent at first, but with the help of "My Two Lives," also written by
Jhumpa Lahiri, one can see that both "The Overcoat" and "Gogol" are connected by ties that hold
them together. Although Gogol and the speaker in "My Two Lives" share similar backgrounds and
can directly relate to each other, Akaky can also connect to Lahiri and Gogol because all they all
yearn for acceptance from those around them. One point of comparison is the practice of naming
connects Akaky, from "The Overcoat", and Gogol together by having similar practices. Another
similarity between all three works is that each main character questions their identity, eventually
overcoming their struggle of being seen as different.
Both Akaky Akakiyevich, and Gogol Ganguli live in cultures where their names have substantial
meaning. Although the way that a person is named differs from culture to culture, the naming
process has similar characteristics. Readers can infer from both "The Overcoat" and "Gogol" that
names in Russian and Bengali have significant meaning and helps shape who the person is when
they grow older. However, one thing that varies greatly between these two cultures is when they are
named and how many names they have. In Russian culture, the name is picked after the baby is
born, in which the mother or elders give the child a name and hope that he or she will live up to the

The United States Of America
The modern society is work driven that people need to work hard to realize the general community
development goals and personal goals. Thus, work has become an integral part of the day to day
living of an average American. One needs to always have something to do in mind and strive to
grow on the job to experience greater financial success and skill development. Whether or not a
person has multiple work opportunities or succeeds in their work life is influenced by multiple
factors, some of which are within the control of the individual in question. The United States of
America has a unique work culture that is predominantly shaped by the way that the society is
stratified and the assertions that people build towards their work life. However, one thing that
remains certain is the way that culture affects the direction that a person takes in employment, on
top of the individual ability to overcome social obstacles in order to secure employment that is
favorable to an individual in terms of skill and preference. Suffice to say, the milestones attained in
one's work life is contingent to the institutional and cultural support availed by their external
environment, personal psychological strength and belief also plays a part.
Growing up as a member of a minority group in American does mean that a person needs to embody
a positive attitude works. One needs to be sure that someday, he will have to step out and secure

MRC. In just a few short months, I have actively aimed to attend every event that was offered,

try my best to find time for my community. Firstly, my favorite event that MRC hosts is MRC tea

stories with friends from the fourth and fifth floors, all while drinking warm tea! I truly love this
event and I met one of my great friends there, Milan, and a helpful mentor, Maddie! Because

And then he should write an email to McDonald about those analyses, as well as striving for her
understanding and asking for a chance of improvement.
Factors:
*Communication: Despite Green's relationship with Davis as a subordinate, they were less
connected with each other for their job progress and they didn't communicate well.
*Synergy: A common goal hadn't been set by Green and Davis. Green didn't agree with Davis's
opinion in forecasting sales projection that he had proposed for Green's region.
*Trust: The environment in Dynamic Displays lacked trust. On the one hand, Davis required his
subordinates to keep him informed of their progress and schedules. On the other hand, Green didn't
trust Davis's evaluation and he suspected Davis had an intention to get rid of him.
*Organization structure: The information flow structure of Dynamic Displays was not beneficial for
superiors gathering timely materials. Plus Green made numerous expressions about his concerns
about Davis to people outside the group and no feedback was stated. Therefore, it was obvious that
Dynamic Displays lacked regulation of information delivery and performance evaluation systems.
Alternative Solution:
Solution 1: Green accepts Davis's criticism, acknowledges his deficiency and asks Davis and
McDonald for a chance of improvement.
Solution 2: Green denies Davis's criticism, and writes an Email to McDonald about Davis's

Narrative Essay About A Water Ride
Personal Narrative Draft 4:
In this story I will be talking about the amazing water ride in Universal studios, Singapore. I still
remember till this day, how many times I rode that ride. For last 7 years we have been going to a lot
of amusement parks like 6 Flags, Disneyland, MGM Studio, Lego Land, Epcot Center,Etc. When
me, my mom, my dad, and my sister jumped in the car, I was as ready as can be.
I was very excited when I read the map of Universal Studio. All of a sudden I became greedy and
wanted to go to the Harry Potter ride, Transformer ride, Indiana jones ride, Star wars ride, etc. While
we did all the rides, me and my Mom were doing some of the scary rides, while my dad and my
sister were doing some kid rides. My whole family continues this for hours until we came to the last
ride. Splash Mountain. I wish this wasn't the last ride. It looked so awesome and thrilling, I thought.
Unfortunately I was correct. Anyways, when we reached the ride location, the waiting–time on the
gate read 3 hours!!! Me and my Dad stared at other people go down, screaming, yelling, and getting

Analysis Of Erika Schickel's Magic Hour
Los Angeles, the City of Angels, is filled with various cultures and people from around the world.
Los Angeles is known for many things from our food to the Griffith Observatory or the Hollywood
sign. Los Angeles is often referred to as the melting pot of cultures. Often portrayed in the movies,
people come to Los Angeles to be the next movie star and live a glamorous life filled with over the
top parties, but Another City challenges that idea. "Magic Hour" shows Los Angeles a not so
glamorous side of LA, but also shows the beauty of Los Angeles. In Another City: Writings From
Los Angeles edited by David L. Ulin, a collection of short stories and poems about Los Angeles, the
writers write about coming to Los Angeles or growing up in LA and how this city shapes the
residents identities and how Los Angeles is seen to outsiders and residents. "Magic Hour" is about
Erika Schickel views on Los Angeles and how it shapes her and her views on the city, she explores
the relationship between herself and the city.
"Magic Hour" by Erika Schickel is about Schickel's leaving her old life in New York and moving to
Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. On a page of "Magic Hour," Schickel writes, "Lonely,
broke, homesick. I could not remember who I was, who I had been, who I hoped to be" (Schickel
65.) Living in Los Angeles makes the author question who she is and if the life she wants is worth of
pursuing. Schickel's relationship with Los Angeles is not ideal at the beginning.

My Time At The Law Firm
My time at the law firm was full of ups and downs a lot like any other job may offer. Throughout the

because the end of the year was coming and stress from outside the work area was entering the

created many flaws within the office that I feel need to be addressed. The office is full of problems
but financing is not one of those problems. The agency holds 8 civil law attorneys who pay the

the agency to keep up to date technology in every office. Since money is not a problem with the firm
the main problems faced are the internal issues of the employees. One of the problems we have is
the drama and ill–mannered attitudes that is shown towards other employees. For not being

Comparison Of La Vida Robot And Steve Jobs
"Many of us are more capable than some of us but none of us is as capable as all of us" said Tom
Wilson, a musician. It means one individual may be better than another but together they are better
than just one. Within these two articles, "La Vida Robot" and "Steve Jobs", teamwork is the key.
Students from Carl Hayden High School worked together and they all had different roles during this
project. Jobs and Woz used each other's strengths and weaknesses to make something from being so
simple to being so grand that it's still popular to this day. In the two groups, each team member was
a separate puzzle piece for a complete puzzle because when on e member of a team isn't familiar
with a topic, a different member can fill in. Each student from

How Do Tattoos Affect The Health Care Industry
There has been a recent issue with people smoking and having tattoos in the Health Care industry.
76% of employees believe tattoos hurt your chances of getting a job interview. Many people oppose
both smoking and tattoos. People are saying if you have tattoos or if you smoke, you should not
even apply. I disagree with this. A job should not be denied to someone just because of the ink
present on their skin or what they put inside of their body. Over the past couple of decades, tattoos
have become very popular. The popularity of tattoos has grown 13% since 2007 and it continues to
rise. The percentage of tattooed adults in the United States is 42%. With the rise and popularity of
tattoos, health care professionals should be a lot more lenient

My First Day At Excelsis Root Canal Specialties Essay
I remember my first day at Excelsis Root Canal Specialties. I was beyond scared and nervous. This
job was my first full time position I have had. To be honest I, never really pictured myself working
in the dental field. I was terrified of the dentist as a child. At that time, I was a newly divorced single
mother of two who had just moved back home with her parents. I was going through a rough patch
and needed a job to survive. I started searching online and applied everywhere. I remember getting
the phone call from the office manager for my interview. I immediately started going through my
closet to find something clean and professional for my interview. I also had to figure what who
would watch my kids while I was working. I ended up trying an in home daycare for my oldest for a
little bit which didn't work out. They both ended up staying with my parents. After I attended the
interview, I was confident in myself that I would be called back for the position. In the beginning, I
was walking on eggshells afraid to make the wrong move. It was around 7:30 in the morning before
any of the patients had arrive. I was introduced to all the coworkers. After that, I was shown to my
desk. The office manager was the person who trained me. We started going over how to check
patients in, answer phones, and verify insurances. When the first patient came in, I felt like a little
mouse in a huge church hall. Whenever I tried to say something, I stumbled across my words.

Personal Narrative: Broken Bone
Broken Bone(s) and more In June of 2008, I was a happy five year old running around the park at
my summer care Good Shepherd. It was a normal day we did all of our morning activities, ate lunch,
then went outside to play. I was running around, and suddenly I tripped and fell. I landed in a really
wrong way. The teachers ran over, and took me to the office, and I waited for my mom to pick me
up in tears. It was going to be a long day. What felt like hours later my mom finally arrived. We
went straight to Doctor Utterback and I took an X–RAY. We got the results and I had broken both
bones in my forearm called the Ulna and the Radius, and I also dislocated it. My mom told me that
my arm looked like a boomerang. Doctor Utterback ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was in my bedroom rocking out to my favorite artist Taylor Swift. Song after song I was just
dancing around my room when the song Long Live by Taylor Swift came on. This was one of her
famous hair flip songs. So, I flipped my hair. I flipped it right onto my wooden desk. The bang was
so loud, my mom heard it from her room. She ran in and I was sitting on my bed holding my head
while blood was rushing out. We immediately rushed to the E.R. I had a humongous gash in my
forehead. They asked me a few questions to make sure I did not have a concussion, then they
cleaned the wound up. I wasn't even crying because it hurt, I was crying because I was terrified of
the stitches. Luckily, I didn't have to use stitches, they would use glue instead. I remember they
came in with numbing solution that I had to hold on my head for a while. After that they put the glue
on my head and held it for a bit. I remember it stung endlessly, but I was thankful for no stitches. I
went home that day with a huge band–aid over my head, scared to go to school the next day.
Everyone in my third grade surprisingly did not care at all which I was very happy about. I spent the
remainder of that year with a big band aid over my head until I could finally take it off because the
glue was allowed to come off. That was a scary day for me and I do not think I took my hand off of
my forehead to uncover the scar the whole entire day. I eventually became comfortable with it and it
is visible, but barely visible

The Pros And Cons Of Technology In The Workplace
According to Frontier Business, "Around one–third of companies (33%) have specific technology
budgets set aside for their marketing departments" (Frontier business). There are many ways
technology is used in the workplace the main being in their production lines. Although technology
causes some people to lose jobs, technology benefits the workplace because it is more efficient,
creates new jobs, cheaper to use technology.
While there is plenty of evidence to show that technology should be used in the workplace, there is,
of course, the opposing side. Some argue that technology should not be used in the workplace. Since
technology has been added to the workplace a significant number of people have lost their jobs.
According to, David Crane, in his article, writes, "Job losses will continue in manufacturing as more
advanced technologies, such as totally computerized assembly lines, take over production" (Crane).
If the workplace continues to add technology, then more people will lose their job; however not
everyone has lost their jobs, there has been less jobs removed than what people think. David Crane,
opposes, "The main impact of new technologies will not be on the number of total jobs but on the
changes in occupations and skill requirements in the workplace" (Crane). If you lose your jobs that
is most likely because you no longer have a skill they look for, then you will have to acquire that
new skill, or they can just hire those who already have that skill.
First reason why we should use technology in the workplace, technology benefits the workplace
because it is more efficient. In a newspaper article, Dayton Daily News, Bernard Condon, wrote,
"Year after year, the software that runs computers and an array of other machines and devices
becomes more sophisticated and capable of doing more efficiently tasks that humans once did"
(Condon). If technology continues to progress it will be able to do many different things that
increase production, then businesses will also improve the economy. Furthermore, in another
newspaper article, Toronto Star, David Crane, stated, "New technology leads to higher productivity
which can preserve existing jobs and add new ones. Higher productivity also allows companies to
pay

PSAC Analysis
As the PSAC is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year I think we should look back at many of the
accomplishments. The PSAC has achieved many gains for its members including safer working
conditions, better wages, equal pay for work of equal value, benefit coverage for same–sex partners,
and rights for disabled workers. While priorities of the PSAC tend to shift according to the priority
concerns of the membership, and according to changes in the workplace and the labor force they
also tend to stay the same. The core roots of the PSAC and of labor unions in general are that
workers deserve a say in the conditions of their labour. In my view, while although maybe not new
to some, one element I have not heard much of is the affordability of onsite quality childcare and
flexible work arrangements in the workplace. This element would be a relevant issue for the young
in our membership and help in securing their involvement. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

While maybe not as affordable for people on day shift it is more easily obtainable as the public
sector caters to the Monday to Friday, weekends off day shift worker. As for the variable shift
worker who requires evening, midnights, and weekend care the affordability and access to child care
is almost unobtainable. As I live in a city with a large amount of variable shift workers for example
in the auto industry, nursing and law enforcement and other cities like mine, the need for variable
child care is of great importance. Parents like mine search high and low for quality child care often
overburdening relatives and for some family is not even available. Because of the requirement for
alternative child care providers outside the 6:30 am to 6:30 pm hours of operation time frame, they

Why Is The Team Of Interest To You
Individual Research Contribution Why is the team of interest to you? As an avid Netflix addict, I
have always been a fan of The Office. When our team needed to choose a team, we all decided that
the team on The Office exemplified something we could portray well in our project. Throughout the
television series, the show paints a picture of a team that on initial looks, seems unorganized,
unfocused, and often immature and dysfunctional. As the show progresses, the team changes and
grows. Throughout the seasons viewers notice the team actually has the best sales and is recognized
by the corporate company. When budget cuts come and the team faces the possibly of a branch shut

am definitely a hungry team player. What do you anticipate being the strengths and weakness of
your team (not the "extraordinary" team) I anticipate our team having strengths by being diversified
by true colors, possessing communication skills, overall presence, as well as listening, and
understanding to be some strengths of the team. I anticipate sidetracking to be the weaknesses of the
team. Overall, I believe that our strengths as a collective team are extremely valuable and will help
to guide us. Even if our weakness catches us, I believe we can still complete tasks in a timely
manner showcasing quality work all while building and growing as team members. Strengths Our
team has many strengths, we definitely work well together. Our team is packed with a diverse range

Moroccan Lights Company Pros And Cons
Now we will analyse the pros and cons of each option and critically evaluate the level of conflict
they will lead to.
1. Critically analyse the pros and cons of each option and critically evaluate the level of conflict they
will lead to. (30%)
1.The first option is to forget about job rotation in this unit. As mentioned in the text and explained
clearly deciding to forget about job rotation in this unit is a bad idea. As mentioned in the text of
Moroccan Lights company it explains that employees after several years working in the same
company and at the same job created a monotonous feeling within the company, therefore not taking
job rotation into account would engender or promote employees burnout and reduce their motivation
for working. As in todays business world, human ressources department became fundamental in any
company as nowadays employees satisfaction and their moral state have a lot of pros as it is a
considerable factor for overall productivity. In conclusion forgetting about job rotation is a bad
decision to choose as it will represent that the company does not consider or take into account
employees moral state. Moreover, it would worsen and rise the level of conflict within the Moroccan
Lights company.

Executive Of Keiser University Financial Aid Office
Currently the Director of Keiser University financial aid office is getting ready to accept a regional
position. This change will occur in a few months, however they are getting the office ready for the
upcoming changes slowly in order to have a smooth transition. The office director has been working
there for 14 years and a lot of the office regulations and rules were molded to her standards. The
past few months a couple of directors from other universities has been interviewing for the job.
However none were chosen for the position, due to their leadership styles. These leaders style of
management were not at all what the office is accustomed to so therefore a more similar leadership
style to the one that was there before for 14 years is more appropriate for the environment, the
nature of the job and the workers that has been working there for years.
The potential directors that were interviewed were persistent with wanting to control everything
that's going on in the office and making sure that they are over every decision that are being made.
They want to be the go to person for everything that is happening in the office. They were treating it
like a dictatorship rather then a peaceful environment where everyone can work at their own pace as
long as they accomplish deadlines.
The person that the office has been accustomed to is someone that gives the workers room to use
their good judgment when making decisions. The prior leader allows them t come to her when

Analysis Of Daniel Orozco 's The American Business World
The American business world is strikingly bureaucratic and very much so a competition to be the
best of all. Often times this mindset destroys the concept of humanity. Individuals will focus on
competition rather than networking and creating meaningful relationships with colleagues. Daniel
Orozco's Orientation delves into this realm of focused, competitive production. However, in lieu of
just showing the importance of order and a strong work ethic in an office, he shows how the counter
effects of the lack of relationships between employees have negative effects on individuals. By
demonstrating this Orozco is highlighting the lack of investment in other aspects of life and the
emphasis placed upon a successful career in American culture. The narrator in the short story is what
captivates the audience immediately because they set up the atmosphere of the office and give
insight into people's personal lives. Additionally, the tone presented by the narrator reflects the
office's work ethic as both are very fast paced, uniform (monotone voiced narrator), and lack any
unnecessary material. The structure of each paragraphs and the sentences contained in them provide
such insight as they are relatively brief and lack complexity. For example, in the first paragraph, the
narrator says, "Those are the offices and these are the cubicles. That's my cubicle there, and this is
your cubicle. This is your phone. Never answer your phone." (Orozco) While this is only the
beginning of the

Lasse Hallstrom's Choolat And La La Land Summary
Dreams are only fulfilled in fantasies. In Lasse Hallstrom's Chocolat and Damien Chazelle's La La
Land, both authors explore the importance of sacrifice, drive and perseverance in achieving one's
dream in spite of all the obstacles. Through the use of imagery of colour, characterisation and
setting, Hallstrom and Chazelle share insight on what it is like to have a dream in today's society,
that there are many obstacles for disheartening, but that all the hardships are worth it.
Judgement and criticism were concepts far too familiar to Hallstrom and Chazelle's characters,
Vianne and Mia. Hallstrom suggests that from the moment that Vianne entered into the French town,
she was looked down upon. From the way she dressed, her personal beliefs, ... Show more content

"I've got to follow my own plan. Stay here. Get my own thing going." Vianne was always on the
move, creating chocolate and happiness. To continue pursuing her passion of creating chocolate and
following the practices of her mother's people, she had to move from location to location – calling
neither home. "Mother and daughter were fated to wander from village to village, dispensing ancient
cacao remedies, travelling with the wind." With every shift in location, she had to leave behind the
life she had built there, beginning with abandonment of her father who one morning, "awoke to
discover that Chitza and the little girl Vianne had gone away." At a young age, Mia chose to move to
Los Angeles in hopes to fulfil her dreams of becoming a successful actress. However, it was later
evident that the project she became successful in required her to go to Paris. Whether it be love,
home or family, the authors show the different sacrifices that need to be made in order to fulfil a
dream.
Colour is an important image in both Chazelle and Hallstrom's texts. Throughout La La Land,
Chazelle incorporates an abundance of bright colours in the backdrop and the clothing. However,
after travelling five years into the future, the characters are dressed in darker and duller outfits.
Chazelle's use of bright colours suggests the feeling of having hope, dreams and fantasy whilst the
duller colours imply maturity and the reality of life. Hallstrom also uses imagery of colour to
describe the

Steve Jobs And La Vida Robot
The success of a team is impacted by many different factors. Like in the excerpt "Steve Jobs" and
magazine article La Vida Robot, the team of Jobs and Wozniak and the team from La Vida Robot
they were all able to cooperate with one another to get the most out of their individual skill. Also, in
La Vida Robot and "Steve Jobs" with the help of the team leader being savvy with business he was
able to get the funds for the project and also his motivation skill helped the team in the long run. A
team must have two essential qualities, the first one is that the team must have a group leader that is
savvy with business and can take charge, also the team must be able to cooperate with one another.

World Equivocal Analysis
Equivocal can be defined as, "of doubtful nature or character and of uncertain significance; not
determined" (Https://dictionary.references.com...). I, Jacob Brickner, question everything. I wonder
what people are thinking about all the time, and I question what the future will look like. At times I
find myself casually wondering into trains of thought, those of which carry me from our reality. In
the least, you could say I find the world equivocal, questioning everything, literally everything.
Philosophy and psychology call to me with such ambition, it makes me question why? Perhaps it's
the people close to me, or even those who aren't so close. Either way, the need to help others and

Something I found really fascinating was how Billie always said that she absolutely loves her job

said the same thing about their own positions. It didn't seem like anyone one there dreaded coming

Studio 52
Studio 52 was a nightclub that catered to the rich, famous, and influential. Carmen D'Alessio
considers herself to be the founder and creator of Studio 52 with help from Ian Schrager and Steve

busboys were hired mainly for their looks, not because of their customer service or interest in the
business. Working at Studio 52 was like going to a party every time they went to work. Which was
probably fun for a little while, but not a lasting career. The company culture regarding employees
was not focused on respect or employee's interests. They promoted drug use just to make sure their
employees were considered enjoyable. I don't think the employees were valued as family members
or important people, they seemed to only be valued for their looks and their ability to party. The
customers of Studio 52 were considered influential and important. I think Studio 52 respected their
status, but I think they were mainly targeted because of their ability to influence people and because
they had money to spend. By maintaining wealthy customers, they were probably able to make

Case Analysis Regulatory Review Commission Essay

  • 1. Case Analysis Regulatory Review Commission Essay Executive Summary This case deals with the unstable work environment at the RRC Operations office in particular between Monique Ricard and Brian Coffey. Brian's work habits are poor and are becoming a detriment to office workflow. Now Monique must decide what to do with the employee whether to discharge, request a transfer or request a continuation of his probationary period. The problems that Monique is facing with Brian include tardy assignments and lack of discipline in terms of punctuality around the office. He is continually handing in assignments either right at deadlines or exceeding them. In addition he has had unexplained prolonged absences in recent time. The causes from these problems could be stemming from a number of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Causes There is a lack of fit between process/systems. the fact that this office is run through the government it makes it hard for employees to be discharged involuntarily. Government jobs usually bring with them a more stable environment and due to this discharging an employee in this department becomes extremely frustrating. Brian's last supervisor noted the drawbacks in his workmanship but only voiced these concerns in person. No formal written complaints were ever filed, instead he was merely passed along to another department. Also a policy stating that when no more work is required, everything will be done to get them another job of comparable skill when instead they could simply offload these workers. There is a lack of fit between structure. After reviewing the RRC staff organization chart it can be seen that they are understaffed. When three out of the eight positions available are currently vacant a problem may arise. Monique may think she is giving Brian sufficient time for his assignment but these allotted times are most likely done in figures where the office is fully staffed. Brian may be taking longer than apparently needed due to the lack of additional coworkers in the office. There is a lack of fit between processes. Brian is a young man and seems not sure yet about his life plans evidenced by the scattering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. The Secretary Chant In this poem Marge Piercy s speaker evokes a concrete vision of a woman who has lost her personal identity to her job. Her bold and descriptive use of metaphors allow the reader to envision a woman who is living her life vicariously through her career. Ms. Piercy successfully uses paradox, personification, and the pun to bring the character alive. With the use of metaphors, both implied and explicit, the reader can deeply empathize with the central character of this poem. From the first line of the poem the tone is set for the reader. It is not so vague as to use a simple simile, but a strong manifestation of the idea of the speaker as an actual personification of a material object. She does not say My hips are like a desk , she says ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Often times the secretary or office assistant are seen as nothing more than robotic extensions completely devoid of human qualities. Press my fingers (11) is an instruction to her boss explaining exactly how she is to provide a function as if she was explaining how to operate any other piece of office equipment. Like any secretary she would have to organize an office and explain to her boss where things were to be found when she was out of the office. From my mouth issue canceled reams (16). She is clearly telling her boss where he would find the used paper and closed files but the pun intended is that whatever she tells her boss is ignored anyway. By the time the reader gets to the end of the poem the secretary is fully developed as an inanimate machine, Swollen, heavy (17). She has given up trying to be human and has resigned herself to the fact that she has been taken over completely by the machines that surround her. Metaphorically speaking, with the use of metonymy, the secretary, now as a machine herself is about to be delivered / of a baby Xerox machine (18–20), thus perpetuating a species of human machines. In the final four lines, the secretary decries that I wonce was a woman and that she needs to be filed under W . She is again giving instructions to her boss that she now serves no real function as a woman and should just be filed away and forgotten. In this way, Ms. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Essay About Work Work can cause many issues with oneself and society. There can be a inner struggle in someone if they don't like their job. Society can cause the discussion of jobs to become a controversial topic. In the poems "Lady In The Pink Mustang" by Louise Erdrich, "The Restaurant Business" by James Tate, and "So Mexicans Are Taking Jobs From Americans" by Jimmy Santiago Baca, the authors use divisions and conflicts to make readers see a bigger picture. In the poem "The Lady in the Pink Mustang" by Louise Erdrich the speaker tells the story of a women in a pink mustang whos job seems to be working as a prostitute. Erdrich wants the readers to get a sense that the women does not care much for her job but continues to do it. It can be understood that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... None of these poems have a hidden meaning and each author had a significant way of showing the meaning. Erich and Baca follow the template of poetry. Whereas, Tate uses the template of poetry in story form. In all of these works readers can find that the speakers have an argument. In "The Lady In The Pink Mustang" the speaker explains in the end that she is not proud of her job but she has to make a living somehow and until she runs out of money she will do what she has to. In "The Restaurant Business" Tate parallels to Erdrich by having the restaurant owner pose the argument that though he works for his own sadness, if he choices to leave the business he loses his seat of having a title and even though he hates to work that's the only bit of happiness he has left. Lastly the speaker in Baca's poem constructs a real life argument and turns the whole piece of work in a political poem by arguing the discussion of jobs in America. All of these works show that work is hard but it is real and sometimes it is not a realistic job and not everyone will agree with the job title or job ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Music And Arts Festival Go with the flow I have been to multiple concerts before but nothing compares to the Resonance Music and Arts Festival, a weekend long camp out of like–minded, motived, music loving individuals. In simpler terms, modern day hippies. These hippies focus more on medication, dancing, and yoga as a way to reach the ultimate state of joy. The people around me, the clothing they wore, the smell of weed that filled the air, and the music that blared through the speakers were all things I will never forget about that summer weekend. The life style of hundreds of individuals in a crowd was different from anything I had ever laid my eyes on. Although I never imagined to be in a new environment, I had no choice. Hammocks were hung from trees and even hung from car mirrors. There were hippies sleeping in, and on their cars. I saw people cooking on small grills, selling food right from the trunk of their car. A simple sign that read, "Fish tacos." I was memorized by all the booths that lined the entrances of Legend Valley. People sold paintings, jewelry, tie dyed bags, shirts, skirts, and head bands. I made my dad stop at one booth because I saw a dress that I absolutely loved. It was priced at $30. When I paid for my purchase the woman expressed how grateful she was that I was buying her clothing because that is how she made a living. She told me the story of how she lives in her car, and travels to these festivals. I felt sad for a brief moment until I realized this was her calling and she was truly happy. It inspired me to appreciate the little things that surround me. Also there were hundreds of tents on the opposite side of our camper, each one a bright color with some article of tie dye draped over it. In front of the tents sat chairs, empty. I asked my dad, "Where is everyone?" He just chuckled and said, "You'll see them when we attend the concert." • 13. Motivation And Performance Involving Mechanical Skills Motivation provides individuals the drive to behave and act in a certain way in order to influence their work environments (Robbins & Judge, 2014, pp. 35–36). When employees are able to influence their work environments, they can make a psychological identity with their organization that provides a sense of purpose, or meaningfulness, to their existence in their job performance and involvement (Robbins & Judge, 2014, pp. 35–36). Thus, providing employees with a higher level of job satisfaction. To promote higher levels of job satisfaction, involvement and performance, managers will utilize motivational strategies to encourage their employees to perform certain tasks (McCoy, 2012, p. 2). However, managers are recognizing that traditional incentives are no longer providing the results of behavioral physics in their organization (McCoy, 2012, p. 3). To address this dilemma, managers are looking at motivational strategies where the incentives psychologically empower their employees in their daily activities. Problem In Dan Pink's YouTube video, he discusses how incentivizing performance involving mechanical skills follows with the laws of behavioral physics, which is, if one rewards an individual for their performance, they receive more of the behavior (2010). Conversely, if they do not get rewarded, then they get less of the behavior (Pink, 2010). However, this is not the case for individuals performing rudimentary cognitive skills (Pink, 2010). Dealing with a number of hostile customers can produce a great amount of stress in a work environment, especially when these customers are escalated to supervisors for assistance. However, the ability to handle stress is a technique that has to be exercised when dealing with customers, because having that control will assist in retaining customers and providing them quality customer service. My results from the burnout self–test revealed, "little sign of burnout here, unless some factors are particularly severe" ("Burnout Test", n.d.). From taking the quiz, I learned that I am not as overwhelmed as I sometimes feel. I take more control over outcomes than I feel that I do during stressful times. Sometimes when you are in the mist of stressful times, you can not really gauge or determine how well you are dealing with situations, but this test helped me but things into a better perspective. Future steps I will take to ensure stress does not negatively affect my ability to be a productive and effective employee is to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 23. The Interrelationship Between The Overcoat And Gogol The interrelationship between "The Overcoat," written by Nikolai Gogol, and "Gogol," written by Jhumpa Lahiri, may not be apparent at first, but with the help of "My Two Lives," also written by Jhumpa Lahiri, one can see that both "The Overcoat" and "Gogol" are connected by ties that hold them together. Although Gogol and the speaker in "My Two Lives" share similar backgrounds and can directly relate to each other, Akaky can also connect to Lahiri and Gogol because all they all yearn for acceptance from those around them. One point of comparison is the practice of naming connects Akaky, from "The Overcoat", and Gogol together by having similar practices. Another similarity between all three works is that each main character questions their identity, eventually overcoming their struggle of being seen as different. Both Akaky Akakiyevich, and Gogol Ganguli live in cultures where their names have substantial meaning. Although the way that a person is named differs from culture to culture, the naming process has similar characteristics. Readers can infer from both "The Overcoat" and "Gogol" that names in Russian and Bengali have significant meaning and helps shape who the person is when they grow older. However, one thing that varies greatly between these two cultures is when they are named and how many names they have. In Russian culture, the name is picked after the baby is born, in which the mother or elders give the child a name and hope that he or she will live up to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Problem: In the case of "Thomas Green: power, office politics, and a career in Crisis", it describes the dilemma of Thomas Green who works in a company called Dynamic Display. Thomas was recruited as an account executive, and then five months later, he was promoted as a Senior Market Specialist directly by the President Shannon McDonald. Thomas's boss Frank Davis hadn't expected to choose Green as the new senior market specialist, and he was very dissatisfied with Green's work style and performance three months after the promotion. Factors: *Communication: Despite Green's relationship with Davis as a subordinate, they were less connected with each other for their job progress and they didn't communicate well. *Synergy: A common goal hadn't been set by Green and Davis. Green didn't agree with Davis's opinion in forecasting sales projection that he had proposed for Green's region. *Trust: The environment in Dynamic Displays lacked trust. On the one hand, Davis required his subordinates to keep him informed of their progress and schedules. On the other hand, Green didn't trust Davis's evaluation and he suspected Davis had an intention to get rid of him. *Organization structure: The information flow structure of Dynamic Displays was not beneficial for superiors gathering timely materials. Plus Green made numerous expressions about his concerns about Davis to people outside the group and no feedback was stated. Therefore, it was obvious that Dynamic Displays lacked regulation of information delivery and performance evaluation systems. I saw it twice in theaters, which is odd for me because my preferred method of consuming media is illegally pirating it (NSA, I know you're reading this, but this confession is not admissible in court, ok? ok.) Anyway, the second time I saw La La Land it was an 8:00 showing on a Wednesday in Cedar Rapids that I had to scramble to get to because I left work and didn't get any supper. So we stopped at Hy Vee, picked up some to go boxes of chinese food, and tried to figure out the best way to smuggle the food into a theater. I still remember till this day, how many times I rode that ride. For last 7 years we have been going to a lot of amusement parks like 6 Flags, Disneyland, MGM Studio, Lego Land, Epcot Center,Etc. When me, my mom, my dad, and my sister jumped in the car, I was as ready as can be. I was very excited when I read the map of Universal Studio. All of a sudden I became greedy and wanted to go to the Harry Potter ride, Transformer ride, Indiana jones ride, Star wars ride, etc. While we did all the rides, me and my Mom were doing some of the scary rides, while my dad and my sister were doing some kid rides. • 49. The Pros And Cons Of Technology In The Workplace According to Frontier Business, "Around one–third of companies (33%) have specific technology budgets set aside for their marketing departments" (Frontier business). There are many ways technology is used in the workplace the main being in their production lines. Although technology causes some people to lose jobs, technology benefits the workplace because it is more efficient, creates new jobs, cheaper to use technology. While there is plenty of evidence to show that technology should be used in the workplace, there is, of course, the opposing side. Some argue that technology should not be used in the workplace. Since technology has been added to the workplace a significant number of people have lost their jobs. According to, David Crane, in his article, writes, "Job losses will continue in manufacturing as more advanced technologies, such as totally computerized assembly lines, take over production" (Crane). If the workplace continues to add technology, then more people will lose their job; however not everyone has lost their jobs, there has been less jobs removed than what people think. David Crane, opposes, "The main impact of new technologies will not be on the number of total jobs but on the changes in occupations and skill requirements in the workplace" (Crane). If you lose your jobs that is most likely because you no longer have a skill they look for, then you will have to acquire that new skill, or they can just hire those who already have that skill. First reason why we should use technology in the workplace, technology benefits the workplace because it is more efficient. In a newspaper article, Dayton Daily News, Bernard Condon, wrote, "Year after year, the software that runs computers and an array of other machines and devices becomes more sophisticated and capable of doing more efficiently tasks that humans once did" (Condon). If technology continues to progress it will be able to do many different things that increase production, then businesses will also improve the economy. Furthermore, in another newspaper article, Toronto Star, David Crane, stated, "New technology leads to higher productivity which can preserve existing jobs and add new ones. Higher productivity also allows companies to pay ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While priorities of the PSAC tend to shift according to the priority concerns of the membership, and according to changes in the workplace and the labor force they also tend to stay the same. The office director has been working there for 14 years and a lot of the office regulations and rules were molded to her standards. The past few months a couple of directors from other universities has been interviewing for the job. However none were chosen for the position, due to their leadership styles. These leaders style of management were not at all what the office is accustomed to so therefore a more similar leadership style to the one that was there before for 14 years is more appropriate for the environment, the nature of the job and the workers that has been working there for years. The potential directors that were interviewed were persistent with wanting to control everything that's going on in the office and making sure that they are over every decision that are being made. • 61. Analysis Of Daniel Orozco 's The American Business World The American business world is strikingly bureaucratic and very much so a competition to be the best of all. Often times this mindset destroys the concept of humanity. Individuals will focus on competition rather than networking and creating meaningful relationships with colleagues. Daniel Orozco's Orientation delves into this realm of focused, competitive production. However, in lieu of just showing the importance of order and a strong work ethic in an office, he shows how the counter effects of the lack of relationships between employees have negative effects on individuals. By demonstrating this Orozco is highlighting the lack of investment in other aspects of life and the emphasis placed upon a successful career in American culture. The narrator in the short story is what captivates the audience immediately because they set up the atmosphere of the office and give insight into people's personal lives. Additionally, the tone presented by the narrator reflects the office's work ethic as both are very fast paced, uniform (monotone voiced narrator), and lack any unnecessary material. The structure of each paragraphs and the sentences contained in them provide such insight as they are relatively brief and lack complexity. For example, in the first paragraph, the narrator says, "Those are the offices and these are the cubicles. That's my cubicle there, and this is your cubicle. This is your phone. Never answer your phone." (Orozco) While this is only the beginning of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 63. Lasse Hallstrom's Choolat And La La Land Summary Dreams are only fulfilled in fantasies. In Lasse Hallstrom's Chocolat and Damien Chazelle's La La Land, both authors explore the importance of sacrifice, drive and perseverance in achieving one's dream in spite of all the obstacles. Through the use of imagery of colour, characterisation and setting, Hallstrom and Chazelle share insight on what it is like to have a dream in today's society, that there are many obstacles for disheartening, but that all the hardships are worth it. Judgement and criticism were concepts far too familiar to Hallstrom and Chazelle's characters, Vianne and Mia. Hallstrom suggests that from the moment that Vianne entered into the French town, she was looked down upon. From the way she dressed, her personal beliefs, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "I've got to follow my own plan. Stay here. Get my own thing going." Vianne was always on the move, creating chocolate and happiness. To continue pursuing her passion of creating chocolate and following the practices of her mother's people, she had to move from location to location – calling neither home. "Mother and daughter were fated to wander from village to village, dispensing ancient cacao remedies, travelling with the wind." With every shift in location, she had to leave behind the life she had built there, beginning with abandonment of her father who one morning, "awoke to discover that Chitza and the little girl Vianne had gone away." At a young age, Mia chose to move to Los Angeles in hopes to fulfil her dreams of becoming a successful actress. However, it was later evident that the project she became successful in required her to go to Paris. Whether it be love, home or family, the authors show the different sacrifices that need to be made in order to fulfil a dream. Colour is an important image in both Chazelle and Hallstrom's texts. Throughout La La Land, Chazelle incorporates an abundance of bright colours in the backdrop and the clothing. However, after travelling five years into the future, the characters are dressed in darker and duller outfits. Chazelle's use of bright colours suggests the feeling of having hope, dreams and fantasy whilst the duller colours imply maturity and the reality of life. Hallstrom also uses imagery of colour to describe the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 67. World Equivocal Analysis Equivocal can be defined as, "of doubtful nature or character and of uncertain significance; not determined" (Https://dictionary.references.com...). I, Jacob Brickner, question everything. I wonder what people are thinking about all the time, and I question what the future will look like. At times I find myself casually wondering into trains of thought, those of which carry me from our reality. In the least, you could say I find the world equivocal, questioning everything, literally everything. Philosophy and psychology call to me with such ambition, it makes me question why? Perhaps it's the people close to me, or even those who aren't so close. Either way, the need to help others and find answers is the closest thing to an answer. According ... This was before school started, though I knew I needed a job shadow in the future to graduate. A career in Orthodontics has appealed to me for a long time, so I saw it fitting at the time. • 69. Personal Narrative: Job Shadowing On the 27th of January, I had the pleasure of Job Shadowing Billie–Jo Deal at the ODOT (Oregon Department of Transportation) Region Five Office in La Grande. ODOT is responsible for the construction, improvement, maintenance, and safe operation of Oregon's transportation system. Billie's official job title is a Region Five Traffic Safety Coordinator and is the only one working as a Coordinator in all of Eastern Oregon. On a normal day, she is typically working on writing grants, coordinating safety and enforcement programs, or giving presentations to schools and workplaces all across Eastern Oregon. I specifically chose Billie for my Job Shadow not only because I already knew her, but I have always been curious about what her job is like. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All throughout it, I was learning so much about Billie's position and it even cleared many of my previous misconceptions in the process. I do find it all very interesting, and I wouldn't mind pursuing that area of work. Of course, I probably wouldn't be able to have her specific job since she has the only position in Eastern Oregon and she isn't planning on retiring for another 27 years. Something I found really fascinating was how Billie always said that she absolutely loves her job and it is the best job in the world. Not only did she say that, but several of her coworkers basically said the same thing about their own positions. It didn't seem like anyone one there dreaded coming to work, and I thought that was one of the best qualities anyone could ask for in a workplace. In all, I had a great time job shadowing Billie and I feel it was a great learning ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 71. Personal Narrative: Preventing Workplace Violence Ellen, Work place violence is very prevalent. I worked for an institute where a discharged patient gained access to the facility and brutally stabbed a technical partner in the neck, thankfully he was flown to the nearest trauma center a lived to tell his story. It was concluded that the discharged patient gained access piggybacking off of another employee swiping their badge to get into the hospital. I think we get so involved in our work day and where we need to be and what we need to do before our shift is over that we forget to pay attention to small details. The suspect managed to get out of the hospital and was found nearby off the hospital premises. I know for me working in the hospital I think of it as a place where people come for ... • 73. Studio 52 Studio 52 was a nightclub that catered to the rich, famous, and influential. Carmen D'Alessio considers herself to be the founder and creator of Studio 52 with help from Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell. Clubs aren't usually known for outstanding employee care and Studio 52 is no different. The busboys were hired mainly for their looks, not because of their customer service or interest in the business. Working at Studio 52 was like going to a party every time they went to work. Which was probably fun for a little while, but not a lasting career. The company culture regarding employees was not focused on respect or employee's interests. They promoted drug use just to make sure their employees were considered enjoyable. I don't think the employees were valued as family members or important people, they seemed to only be valued for their looks and their ability to party. The customers of Studio 52 were considered influential and important. I think Studio 52 respected their status, but I think they were mainly targeted because of their ability to influence people and because they had money to spend. By maintaining wealthy customers, they were probably able to make larger profits and assuming the customers enjoyed their time they probably returned with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Transactional leaders gain loyalty by forming agreements and working with their followers (Brusseau, 2012). I would consider D'Alessio more of a transformational leader. She gained loyalty by providing an exciting place to work. Her employees were willing to walk around nearly naked, mingling with wealthy customers while on drugs. She didn't try to work with them or ask them what they want out of their job. She gave them her expectations and they went with them without question, although the guests and drugs probably helped keep her employees ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The two texts, La Vida Robot and Steve Jobs both show teamwork but in different ways, and they show the different things that can be accomplished with teamwork. The authors both represent teamwork in different ways, although they both show teamwork, they contrast the different effects of the way they cooperated. As Davis points out every single individual member of the team plays an important part in the key success of the team as they compliment each other perfectly. Davis is showing the reader Lorenzo's part in making the team successful. As stated in the text,"Lorenzo had grown up rebuilding car engines with his brother and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
