For the past 9 months I have been able to study privileged children and teenagers playing tennis
because I coach tennis for a living. When I started coaching tennis I always noticed different
behaviors between students and it made me curious to what made certain students have such
behaviors. It made me think of maybe it was how they are raised, morals, religion, wealth, or maybe
it is just part of their personality that they have grown themselves. After, taking time and evaluating
tennis players that were privileged, I was curious of how an underprivileged child would act during
a practice and what their emotional behaviors would be like and then I thought more into detail
about it. What if I put on free clinics to underprivileged children? I would provide all the necessary
equipment for them to use during the practice and I could study their behaviors for 4 months having
a clinic once a week. But first I needed to do some research to understand what I really needed to
evaluate. When raising a child it is important to make sure the child has the same opportunities as
other children. Some families don't have adequate financial assets to provide for their children, as
other families might be able to. For example, this occurs when families are experiencing poverty;

You would think a continuous strand of good music would come from artists imitating what was
popular in past generations, but it seems this is not true. The song The Next Episode was about
being in clubs and the dangers of still having people out to get you while also getting ready for the

that (even changing the phrase 'poke on' in the song completely) it still had no impact on the overall

music videos. Are women empowered, or are they objectified when they express their sexuality?

Gin And Juice Analysis
The song I chose for this comparison is "Gin and Juice". This song was originally released by Snoop
Dogg in 1993 and is performed with the traditional "West Coast Rap" sounds of the time. One
successful cover of this song was released by The Gourds in 1998, who performed the song in a
bluegrass/Alt. country style. One of the major differences between the two performances is the
timbre of the pieces. With his use of electronic, midi based instrumentation and his "laid back"
vocals, Snoop Dogg keeps the tone and mood laid back and smooth. The performance by The
Gourds has a much higher pitched, up–tempo tone. This difference is also felt in the dynamics of the
song. While the note progression is the same, the dynamics are very different.

Our society puts pressure on all genders, races, and lifestyles to be up to their standards and this is

Throughout our lives everyday humans find themselves trying to follow in the footsteps of an A–
List celebrity. Although celebrities are arguably, just humans, they are unquestionably pinpointed by
the media and sensationalized by society. By the many illegal actions such as DUIs, general pubic
law violations, hit and runs, examples of bad behavior, and assault and sometimes even murder,
many celebrities are not cut out be followed by example, but to be viewed as a lesson to prevent the

"Hip–hop/rap is a subcultural movement that formed during the early 1970s in the Bronx, New
York" ("Hip hop"). Hip– hop has changed the way we speak, dress, think, and has even altered the
way artist make music. Traveling all around The United States, Hip–hop has made many different
names for itself. There is MC Rap, Gangsta Rap, Conscious Rap, and Old School Rap sprouting
from the meaning of Hip–hop, all urban genres using different types of dialect. According to Oxford
Dictionaries, dialect is "a particular form of a language that is peculiar to a specific region or social
group" ("Dialect"), they decide on the type of message they want to convey to the listener through
the rap. The two rappers I have chosen to show the growth in Hip–hop language history, are
Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg. Lamar is considered as an American influential rapper. Whereas,
the west coast godfather, Snoop Dogg, falls under the genre of gangsta rap. These West Coast
rappers are from the same area, but when it comes to Hip–hop, they seem to speak a different
language. The evolution of the world changes the topics discussed in Hip–hop, these two artists
promote similar messages in their music, such as gang affiliation, unity, and politics.
Snoop Dogg who is from Long Beach, California speaks a blend of gangsta and West Coast dialect
in his music, which has an urban feel relating to the streets. West Coast Rap took over the hip–hop
scene for the '90s, creating the new genre of gangsta rap.

whom had received given some of life's sourest lemons and turning them into something that
resembles lemonade. This man has traveled a long and difficult road, finally leading to his lifelong
dream. This dream starting after his founding by Dr. Dre in the early 90's. Zero to none could have
predicted that he would he would become something more than a gangster from the hood. Even
considering that he was basically a cofounder of gangster rap itself, with millions of record sales,
and an expansive career as an actor/director, the chances were highly unlikely. And that's only
